This is Crafts a D, I'm Phil Lindsey. Dad Hat Gang is in the building. Drayhead is not ever leaving you alone. Let's go. [LAUGH] What it is, I'm Phil Lindsey. And of course, I'm here with Righteous Ridge, what's going on with you bro? In the building, it's your favorite rapper, your favorite writer, your favorite podcaster, Medium Man. I'm on a very, very, very, very, very big high right now. Righteous Ridge in the building. Very excited. Philip Lindsey, last night. I'm laying down, watching collision, enjoying it. I'm like, man, it's a really good show. Friend of the show. I built this story was going somewhere else. No, no, no, no. And I'm on a high. I'm laying down. I was like, whoa, whoa. Well, you know, I'm just trying to slow walk the dog into there. So yeah, laying down, kicking it, watching collision. Friend of the show, my other co-host, California connection, Denise, is at collision. My co-host that we're currently talking to was not at collision. Was that the crib? Yep, not there. Very close to Chicago, but he wasn't there. So Denise is like texting me throughout the time being there. And so she sends me a text and she's like, oh, Brian Keith's song is different than the last song he had. And I'm like, hmm, that's interesting. And then one second later, Ruckus sends me, yo, and a thousand, uh, thousand o's. And I'm like, oh, it's going down. My TV is a couple of minutes or so behind, whatever was happening. And so it happened. And I'm like, oh, my God, Brian Keith came out. If you guys don't know, uh, with the new theme and Righteous Ridge and Rich Lotta are wrapping on that thing. So, uh, I'm watching the TV in disbelief. Uh, it's just great, great, great stuff, man. A bucket list type stuff. I've worked countless hours to get to moments like this. So man, it feels really great. Um, it took a lot to even get to this moment. Thought it wasn't going to happen for a minute. Some backing things all kind of, you know, politics, but, uh, we here, Phil. We here. Yeah, we're here. It was cool to see my guy's music on, on this tube again. Uh, to see, uh, Ruckus come and say, hey, the only reason I knew Brian Keith was was because of this guy's list. And so to get him on the theme. It's a nice little full circle moment. Um, I was glad that you got the moment of that this week and not whatever you were supposed to do last Sunday. Come on. Why do you got a, we have where I said I was on the high and then you hear you go. Here he come. Here he go. But yes, exactly. Ruckus said that he knew a Brian Keith because righteous redges. BW 500. Uh, Brian Keith was number one last year. That's coming soon, you guys. Uh, actually officially going to drop the 2024 list. On the third anniversary of Grapsody, which is October 5th, I think. Um, it's coming up in a second. I think it's a second. I think it's the fifth. I'm sure. Mm hmm. Cause, um. Is it? Let's, let's, let's do some. I thought it was a fit. Let's do some math, October, October 2nd would have to have been a Saturday. Mm hmm. Okay. But, uh, yeah. October 2nd, the VW 500, the 2024 edition will drop. So, uh, exciting times are happening. Exciting stuff is happening out here. Uh, if you want to send a shout out to Ruckus for giving me the opportunity to, uh, be on that theme. A little bit of backstory. Uh, of course you guys kind of know there's a little bit of history of me with Brian Keith, uh, long time homey before he got into a W. I did an interview with him, uh, for P. W. I just kind of going over his career asking him about being an official swish at house sponsor athlete. So before that he's like still tipping when I get signed somewhere, I'm hoping to bring it because I'm signed like it's, it's, it should be pretty easy. And so when Brian Keith did get signed. There was talk with swish at house. They had this whole conversation. Seems like everything was a go Mike Jones. They talked to everybody and it was like, Oh, we're good. We're good here. But, uh, label stuff, you know, back in all that stuff. Oh, actually, we don't know if this can happen. You guys are going to be playing on TV, pay per view, like, you know, I don't know. So Brian Keith, uh, in February, Ruckus gave him of just a stock. He's like, here's a library stock thing. They played it on TV. I remember I sent a message on Twitter that day. And I was like, Ruckus, if, if there's an empty instrumental, send it to me. And he's like, this isn't even anything. I just gave this blah, blah, blah. And so probably about that was February. Was it May, maybe April or May, Ruckus hits me up and he's like, A.O. is happening. Uh, actual Brian Keith theme, here's the instrumental. Uh, do your thing in 30 minutes. I'm like, bam, bam, but like that's the fastest I've ever wrote anything. Just like, I don't want him to hit me up in an hour and be like, psych. I'm like, you're going to get this song before anything happens. So I get this song out to him so fast. And he's so excited about it. It's all good to go. Puts it together with Rich. I'm like, yeah, this is, this is hard. That was in April or May, I think. And then months of nothing, it's September now. So I was like, what's going on? Come to find out. Brian Keith was hurt for part of it. So he couldn't even wrestle anyways, no way to have a theme when he is hurt. So then he comes back and then he has a different theme. And I'm like, Oh, no, I don't know what's happening here. And so there was some other politics back in things. Great long way to get here. Yesterday, I did not know this was going to happen on the show. Also this particular show. So that was also a surprise. Just a lot of surprises to get here. But yeah, we are now officially here. And I'm very excited about it. Yeah. It was funny because I just happened to have smack down on my TV at the time. So I see him getting exciting and going up. I was like, yeah, you're really excited for Giovanni Vinci, man. What's going on? You guys, this is not a bit. My friend really sent this message. Listen, you're going up for Giovanni Vinci. I'm like, what is this guy talking about? Listen, 305. He was really excited about this rebranding guy, huh? Listen, you know, he came out with the car. He was on Vegas. He was looking fly. Who am I? Who am I the judge? Came out of grand opening, grand closing. It is October 2nd, by the way. He just looked it up. October 2nd, 2021. I think it's, I think you're confused. Cause this year, the first episode of October is the fifth. Gotcha. Phil wouldn't know. I don't know anything. I smoke a lot of pot. Yeah, no. Yeah. That's our anniversary. October 2nd, 2021. That's the date. That's from BW 500. I'm just dropping you guys. I don't know. I feel catch up with us. I feel mustard with us. Of course, you guys could submit super humper chats. Humper chats, of course, we get a bigger cut. So if you want to submit them at humper chats.com to the graph city gang, we, of course, appreciate that. If you want to submit a super chat, we'll read it live here on air also. You can do that. I've always appreciate you guys for the support. Y'all are the greatest. Are you with us, Phil? I am. It just kept lagging. So I was trying to make sure it was stopped. Seems like it stopped. It was annoying me. Okay. But yeah, man, really happy for you and Rich. I thought it captured the vibe of still tipping. You're never going to be able to remake still tipping. This is a classic hip hop record, which I tweeted that it captured the vibe. And somebody was like, no, take this down. I was like, how are you going to say this still tipping? I was like, that's not what I said. But I spent a lot of time on Twitter saying that's not what I said. Because people just completely changed something. I said to something that I did not say. That is very funny. Because that was the kind of attention that I had definitely set out to do when I figured it wasn't going to be that song. I was like, well, we got to capture the vibe. We got to kind of give up those things. And so when Ruckus sent me the beat, I'm like, okay, I know exactly what I need to do. And so my favorite verse on still tipping very debatable. Mike Jones, I think Mike Jones has the best verse on still tipping. And everybody's like, Paul, I'm like, yeah, I get to understand what you're saying. So I incorporated a couple of. Yeah, see, Mike, I get the high tag. That's what I'm saying. I incorporated a couple of Mike Jones isms into my verses to definitely pay tribute to it. I knew exactly what I was doing and where I was going with it. Yeah, that makes sense. No, it has the same vibe that the beat that Ruckus went with. The hook to it sounds, it has the same kind of sound to it. But again, you can't recreate still tipping, man. Like I said, the classic record. Of course not. It's Mike Jones in Slim Thug. But, well, yeah, but yeah, I think the, I think the theme is dope. If it's Brian, well, yeah, hopefully he's on TV more. We're seeing him do other things other than, you know, do ad libs for that guy and stand next to him so he can hear that theme some more. That is the probably funniest part about all this is now you guys know why I was doing, uh, I guess for a long month bit on all of my podcast where I was saying, I like the learning train. Everybody's like, why do you guys guys keep saying this? Why does he keep talking about this learning tree thing? I'm like, soon come, you guys soon come soon came. Yeah. Shane went into a bit. I, unlike you, I actually like Jack Perry. It's not a bit at all. We'll see. I don't know what you're talking about. I like Jack. Okay. Bills is not a bit. Minds was a bit. But yeah, uh, dope week is always some, uh, weird things happened as always because it's, uh, life and life always finds a way to throw a punch at you. It's got to find a way to hop back up afterwards. Yeah, but, uh, of course, rest in peace to, uh, rich homie quant said that on, uh, ask Rhapsody, but we're saying again, very influential Atlanta rapper, uh, passed away Wednesday, sorry Thursday, right? Yep. Um, yeah, rest in peace to him condolences to his family and friends. It's sad to see him pass away and just like there's so many guys in that group. Like when Quavo put up that, uh, Instagram story of him and, uh, quine and take off and offset and all those people in the same room. And I was like, man. And then at the, on top of that at the time, he was not speaking the offset. It's like, uh, but, you know, it seems like, uh, he put up another Instagram story. Um, he had a good conversation with him. So hopefully they've minted their fences, uh, you know, life's too short. Hopefully they are, you know, talking and getting along again. Yeah. Uh, rest in peace to the rich homie quant. This is, uh, every day waking up, not every day, but often waking up the last couple months, last couple of years, it feels like to another rapper passing away. Um, it's always so unfortunate, but then like a situation like this is, uh, even worse when there's maybe an overdose surrounding it. Uh, some drugs, uh, some, some hard times kind of, um, attached to it. Uh, rich homie quant is such a like staple of that scene. There was a time when you couldn't turn the radio on without hearing rich homie quant and young thug during their thing. There was a time where they dominated the charts. And so yeah, when Quavo posted that picture and you see like these guys, the scene was there. And like this, the Atlanta, that whole people worked stealing these guys style and for, uh, a couple of them to be gone now and, and the thing with before like offset and Quavo having the issues is like, this is not the way hip hop is supposed to be. You guys like it's based off like community. It's based off love. It's based off like coming together and like you guys were together and like look where it is now. It's just so unfortunate. Yeah. Rest in peace to rich homie quant. Um, rappers that rap about the things and then the things happen to them. It's like so unfortunate and like, you would, which, which that this thing would change at this point, but it hasn't changed at this point. Yeah, it's that, but, uh, yeah, rest in peace to him. Also, rest in peace to fat man scoop. Uh, man, what a career. Uh, what an impact he's had on industry. Not just hip hop, R and B and the, uh, the vast amount of things he showed up on and popped up on. Like, I mean, the Sierra record he's on. He was just on a Beyonce record, what? Two years ago, not even two years ago. Um, yeah. One of the most memorable voices in the space. One of the most, uh, prolific DJs and like hype men that you could think of for like a better words, but yeah, rest in peace to him. Yeah, recipes is fat man scoop. That's really funny that you bring up the voice of fat man scoop because like as an artist, as a rapper, um, you take so long to kind of figure out who you are. And finding your voice is like one of the most important things in becoming a rapper. And if you have a distinct voice that people are going to remember forever, like you are ahead of the game and fat man scoop was that voice. Like he could just say one thing, let's go now. And it's like, it's over. Like all you have to hear that and the party's going crazy. People are break dancing and shit. Like you got service playing in the background. Like, uh, uh, he just like represented such a. Great role that is not emphasized as much in today's world. I guess like today's version of him is like DJ Khaled, but Khaled is. On some wild shit sometimes. So he's a little bit different, but like there's not like a big fat man scoop representation. And so he's it's going to leave a big hole because he like was just so different. So unique, funny, uh, loved hip hop represented the game. Like nobody else. Just so unfortunate. Another young, he's only 50 years old. Like we can't even. I've always thinking that can be no line down. We can't even make it to 50. It's like it's anytime a legend gets up there. I'm just like praying that everything's okay. Like make it 60, please. Yeah, unfortunate, but, um, yeah. What an impact he had on hip hop culture. Um, yeah. Immediately when you're saying I was just thinking to him, if you got a hundred dollar bill, put your hands up. Like I said, one of the most memorable voices like there's no way you can hear this guy on a record at Nike hype man. Cause he just, he just had a way of bringing that energy, man. Listen, Phil, I'm not a dancer, but when that, that thing comes on like I'm in the dance floor. I don't care, man. Everybody move. Like I don't break dance, but I'm about to break. Yeah. No, you, you was, you was in there jumping out your seat when he hit the, uh, Mr. Mina in the house. She era the house. Music. Thank you. Loose control. Music. Thank you. Loose control. Let's go. I use on this out there. That little chairs like your sister and her dude looked over at the whole concert. Nah, man. Sometimes you got sent on a chair. And in my defense. I didn't even say this part. In my defense. Uh, it was tight in there. And so it was people getting out of their seats and coming out of the row. Instead of coming all the way out of the row, I was, and I was standing on my seat to let them get past me. It could be whatever the story is. It's fine. You were up there. It's hoved dog. You don't have to explain it. It's hoved. That's hoved, man. So come on, bro. It's hoved at, at soldier field, man. Would I look like not standing on the seat, man? What's wrong? I saw I'm saying like it didn't even shock me when you say you're standing on the seat. I'm like, yeah, I would have been standing on the seat too. Yeah. It's like that. Uh, I, I still haven't seen all of this Marlin interview, but, uh, just the transition off of this and how, man, sometimes when a, when a black guy tells you his worth, man, believe him. Don't let certain people be like, nah, I don't know if you're worth that. I don't know if the, I don't know if it's worth the squeeze. Nah, you see the numbers that that interview did, all of the clips I've seen from it have been incredible. He's got great stories. Go figure, man. Shout out to Marlin and Shannon for getting it done. This was this week, that interview hit at the most perfect time, honestly. Like it's been some years. It's been some frustrating times being a creative. And so I was like, damn, kind of fucked up, honestly. And so I started seeing clips of that Marlin interview, then I watched it and full, full back story. Wayans brothers is my favorite sitcom ever. Like there was a time when like Marlin was like the funniest guy in the world to me. All I cared about was Marlin Wayans content. And so I'm watching this interview and he just like dropping these gems, talking about his family and being. And so he's like, I don't have any heroes outside. All my heroes were my brothers and my sisters and my family. Like here in like, there's inspiring stories of, uh, there's one story. He tells of essentially a living color is the reason that there are Super Bowl. The Super Bowl halftime show so big is because of a living color. Yeah, Tommy did a simple story on Club Shayshay and then Marlin kind of reiterated it. And I was like, dude, a living color had such a crazy impact. But yeah, what Marlin said about just like knowing your worth and not succumbing to what they want you to be and not doing dumb ass interviews with stupid ass fools for clout. I think every time they talk about the Marlin thing, I'm like, I'm pretty sure he charged him extra because he didn't want to do it. And it's like, if you're going to charge me 40,000, I mean, if you're going to pay me 40,000, I'll do it, but I don't want to do it at all. So I know if I send this high price tag, he's not going to do it. And then he does this Club Shayshay interview and then in a one day, it doesn't million views like more than Vlad could ever imagine having. And the interviews just full of so many gems and greatness. And so I watched that interview and then the Brian Keith thing happened. I was like, this is that interview was divine and I feel like it hit at the perfect moment for me. I haven't listened to it in full yet, but I haven't listened in full yet. But it's a good interview from what I've seen the clips, he's dropping some real gems on there. And like I said, it's a lot in there about knowing your wealth worth and just understanding where you are in your craft. He tells a story about how long he had to be doing this, how long he had to be writing and doing standups before he knew not good at this. And partially because he was saying his brothers were so hard on them. Like he showed them stuff and they just never laugh at it. So he's like, all right, I got to make sure it's on point because they're going to be my toughest critics. His kin in impersonation is hilarious, by the way. Every time he does, it's funny. Doug, he told a story about writing don't be a menace. So like him and Sean started writing don't be a menace. They gave up the script and Keenan made them rewrite the movie 26 times. They rewrote this movie 26 times. They they filmed a version of it. The studio hated it. Keenan made them write it again one more time in like 10 days or something. And then they had to film it in the movie that we saw was done like in a week or so. And so I'm like, that's so crazy. Like he did that for a reason. He made them into juggernauts in the game. Like that was happening during the time of Wayne's brothers and Wayne's brothers became way better after Keenan burned them down. They started doing scary movie and Keenan was right there along again, just like tearing them down, tearing them down, making them rewrite rewrite. But it's just making them better writers, making them better comedians, making them into better artists. So those stories are like, damn, that's so great to hear. Yeah, really good interview if you haven't checked it out. Man, Shannon proving like, nah, I thought this cat Williams was just a one and done for me. He's had several incredible interviews this year, man. Shut up, man. Yeah, I'm super excited for Shannon because there was remember they were trying to talk crazy about like, he don't know how to interview. Why does he get this stuff? And it's like, no, he knows exactly what he's doing. Yeah, I wouldn't say that he's the best interviewer, but I know. I think that he's created a platform where people are comfortable coming up there and talking to him. And, you know, whether he asks the questions that I want him to do to ask or, you know, sometimes his reactions to questions are kind of like, all right. Why you didn't come with a follow up question? You can ask. But I think the thing is he created a platform where people are comfortable talking to him and divulging these things. And so we're getting good content on it. It's the same with Drink Champs. Like, I wouldn't say Nori is a great interviewer. We've gotten some great content out of Drink Champs just because of the outlet. Yeah, no, that's exactly the point that you're making there. Like club Shay Shay, Shannon Sharp has great interviews because people feel comfortable up there talking and not beating around the bush and letting it go. The interviews would be way better. Like you said, if he had some follow up, like if he had some follow up, these interviews would be like six hours, but he's always just like, oh, why you say that? It's like, it's never even like a real room. Yeah. He'll be interviewing him and then he'll be reacting like he's talking to him on the phone like, he said that. Yeah. Don't say his mom said that. I'm like, yo, that's not really like I feel you, but like we could go farther with this. It's always funny just like ends because he reacts like that. Yeah. But yeah, Drink Champs is the same. Sometimes I turn Drink Champs off because like, or he just will not let you answer the question. We'll talk all over you while you try to answer this question. I'm like, dog, we've been watching quick time for slime for two hours dog. Like I want to hear something and like sometimes they don't get to it. But then there's moments where they do get to it and you got to kind of weed through the shit. But yeah, same thing, people are just on that platform of Drink Champs comfortable in that space and enough to divulge some really good stuff if they can get to it. Yeah. Yeah. We'll start a question and you'll start answering it and he'll go, whoa, whoa. So I want to ask you, it's like, wait a minute. Let him answer that question first. No, because I've been wanting to ask you, hold on, hold on. Like you already asked, we were in the midst of a question though. Nori, why are you doing this to us? Yeah. Make some other fucking noise. Make some noise. Yeah. Shout out to Nori. Nori, now that picture, Nori just put on IG is wild too. I'm like dog. Nori trying to act like he didn't go to Turkey too. He's like, oh, I grew this up. My wife told me to grow this sound like our, I bet. Nori. You're here, you're here jet black like that. Dog. Jet black. Come on, dog. Come on. It's clean. Oh, my wife told me to grow it. After all these years, that's what it takes. Yeah. I bet. Yeah. The other last big thing before we get into some wrestling, I'm sure people are like, just get into wrestling. What are you guys doing? I don't want, I don't want to hear about fat man ice cream and all this other stuff. Leave me alone. The Lincoln Park thing, I was not expecting this at all. Like right after we got off of Ask Gravity, um, Lincoln Park was all over our timeline. And I was like, okay, there's new music. And then I looked at it and I was like, okay, there's a new lead singer. And yeah, I didn't know how to feel even just like the video of it. And there's somebody else singing lead. I was like, I don't know, man. This is like chapter such a big part of that band, his voice and everything. And it's so hard to think of them without him. And I mean, it's still so, it's still so rough the way he passed away. I still say he, his was one of the toughest celebrity deaths for me. Um, in a lot of ways, not just because of my connection, um, to the band, but just a lot of things that he talked about, like his depression and a lot of things. It just was, uh, very difficult to see him pass away and especially in a way that he passed away. Um, so, you know, I get it. They're, they're not just his friends. They're a band and I get wanting to move on. Um, and like, I get it. Yeah, I get it. It just was tough to see somebody else in his spot at first. But I, I said, listen to the whole song. Um, and I was like, no, this is really good. It sounds like Lincoln Park record. Um, I think that would have bothered me more if this was like, oh, somebody just jumping on and they're just making music for the sake of it. Now this sounds like lyrics and everything. This sounds like a lyric part, Lincoln Park record. Uh, there's certain, certain points where Emily, that's her name. Uh, Emily sounds like Chester, like, eerily like him. Like all the way to the point that when, when it was over, I was just like emotional about it. Like, oh, this kind of, I don't know how to feel about this. Like, but it was a good record. Um, I, I watched the whole Zainlo interview. Do you see that? Well, so there was a few things that happened. Okay. As a long time Lincoln Park fan, you guys, I've been a Lincoln Park fan since 2000. Like hardcore Lincoln Park fan. Yes. When I initially saw the video, I loved it. Like I, like, I, like Chester sad stuff. Like I was hurt when Chester passed away. Deep connection to him and that band. But like, I felt like this was paying great tribute to him. The song was awesome. The, the energy of Lincoln Park was there. And I was like, hyped about it. And then you can't be hyped and have fun about anything. I just watched that without knowing anybody's story, without knowing anything. Just reacting to a great video. I saw Phil and then some news came out about this, uh, lady Emily. Um, and her background and some things that she done. And the world, uh, got set on fire and. It's so unfortunate because like I didn't know, like I tweeted and like went to bed and I wake up and people are like, well, well, she's this and I'm like, I didn't. Why are you putting it on me? Like I put this tweet out before all this news came out and people are like, Oh, cause she's this and I'm like, stop putting it on me dog. I reacted to a song. You just listen, we're all in this connection to the music and the band. This has nothing to do with this person's personal life, like, or what they're doing outside of being a member of this band. So, uh, the, the story came out that she, uh, was friends with, uh, Danny Masterson, who of course is currently in jail for rape. And she was one of his, uh, supporters at the time also that she's like a hardcore Scientologist. Now, I don't know any of this to be fact, I just know that that's what came out. And when I saw that, I was like, all right, well, let me unplug from certain things because I don't want to be in the middle of that conversation because as I tell you guys all the time, we don't know these people. And I don't know just because that came out that that means she's not a good person or what her intentions are. I don't know that. And I don't want to jump to conclusion. So, um, I watched this interview. Uh, I watched the Zainlo interview right after they did the show. Um, and Zainlo interviews are funny too because it's like, he does a good job of interviewing people, but he's also kind of sitting there and acting like a fan as well. And it's funny every time I watch it. It's like, no, it's. So I watched it and I was like, okay, I think their intentions would make him music. We're genuine. I don't think that they were like, all right, we want to make money. We want to go back out there and tour again. This is somebody that was coming to the studio recording things for us. We were having fun. So let's just stuff. And so I understood that I also very much understood. Uh, the conversations they were having about. All right. Everybody knows us from being this thing with the, with all of us doing it. And so it's kind of hard to look around and go. On us to do this. If that person is not standing up front now, it's like, huh, this sounds. And so it was a lot of things that they were saying that I understood and I connected with. And so by the end of the interview, I felt better about what they're currently doing and then moving forward. Now, as far as the stuff with her, I'm just like, oh, no, man, this, that's. They're going to have to address that. I saw that she put out a IG post where she said that she. Once she realized what he was accused of that she had stepped away and she hasn't talked him since. And she denounced him and all these things. And I was like. I don't know. Time, I guess, still a little, little messy. And she did not. And once in this day, guys, I'm not a Scientology. So it's like. Now, just for you guys as well, before I move forward, because religion can be very tricky. Religion quote unquote, Scientology is a religion, I guess. But the issue here with Scientology is not really their beliefs. It's kind of some of the stuff that they've been accused of, like, they've been accused of, like, women and supporting things and, you know, some cultish behavior. So not not the best look to be like to Scientology. You know what's kind of funny and ironic and weird and I don't know where I stand in all of this. My favorite band of all time now is at the drive in. And so the person that exposed this whole Emily is out there in the streets. Because the lead singer from at the drive in, Cedric Bixler, who used to be a hardcore Scientologist, I guess, and I'm discovering off of this. And so I never in my life, I've been listening at the drive in for a long time. And I never in my life was like, he's also this like I didn't even I just discovered that fucking yesterday. And so where do like am I listening to all at the drive in songs now like that like I don't connect those things together. I mean, crazy enough, a lot of the people that are very like super anti Scientologists, turns out to be people that used to be in it like Leah or many, or however you pronounce her last name yep remedy or however you pronounce it. She, she said the same thing when she was out she said lots of horrible things she's done like a whole series about them. And so, it doesn't surprise me it's just surprising sometimes you see these celebrities but that's why I say all the time you don't know these people you don't know what they're into. I don't know. Exactly. This is like the prime example of that. Yeah. All very, the unfortunate thing about all of this with Emily stuff is Mike and all the other guys. They don't have anything to do with that they've been working hard, not just to create the set for this tour, but trying to employ people working hard creating new music and now this is dumped in their lap it's like that kind of sucks. The legacy of Lincoln Park is being affected, you know, some way like it wasn't just supposed to be like we're back let's get off to it they announced a tour I was trying to pull up to the show next Wednesday like that's being people there's too much talk about the other stuff and not about this great music and that's so unfortunate for Lincoln Park who I'm sure set down and thought so hard about even doing this having a new person involved like there's so many background things involved in for them to launch and I felt good about it I'm sure they felt great and then immediately like actually that's got to suck. Yeah I mean to immediately be sitting around like all right we're expecting some blowback from people that don't want Chester replaced but then we get some blowback from something we weren't expecting at all that's making it even worse it's like it's one thing if people are like okay I don't like her singing or you know I don't like the choice you're making but you know this is a completely different can of worms so I can see them all being very like put off by this but because of the way these things work let me let you know right away people that are like well there's no way they can keep her there's too much money behind this now there's too much work behind it there's too many there's too many people that are going to be employed and the building of these big sets and putting this tour together they're not going to just do that take it to going on sale in 19 minutes yeah they're not going to that's why she put that statement out they're like hey we need some damage control that's the best we're going to do but we're not going to stop what we're doing but you said damage control you got hit the Japanese version listen man I don't grow this on the Japanese version she'll be going in the game change bill like the original one like it was a bit but then like the Japanese one I was like all right now I see what's going on here but yeah look man I but man I feel bad for Mike and those guys all those people that are like background check I just don't think it's that simple from the story that they told in that interview it seemed like hey we were just having a bunch of friends at the studio and we were vibing and we like this person we were having fun making a few music with them so it seemed like this was to make the way for it so but I guess you're supposed to like at one point be like hey what you be doing afterwards though hey send me send me your uh send me your w twos and like all of this other background information which is going on Saturday when you're not with us then you can plug your guitar in and then we can start like getting to it but like you got to send me all of that stuff first like hold on don't be plugging your guitar in first we got to run your credit yeah unfortunate but yeah the the cycle sounds good I don't know if I'm as excited about listening to the album now but you know why it's like that man sometimes you gotta if if uh Mike's you know that and Chester taught me anything sometimes you have to stand in your in your house alone and scream and just get it out I thought that it's like in park too is so like what man what what are my favorite band the balltime facts um yeah but yeah I was about to flip on Wednesday and I'm like now I don't know where do what is this bill this is exactly how I felt about that Sunday thing that I was supposed to go to like I was supposed to like what you're not supposed to put me in the situation I just want to go I'm supposed to go have a great time now I feel like all these moral obligations how where did you go it commentates the wrestling on Sunday you know we're hearing about all of these accusations about somebody else like wait a minute how did I get involved in this oh man yikes uh I had a moment afterwards when you were like I'm not doing I was like dad that sucks man yeah that's how I felt too man like cuz I just it's you know I'm not about that dog I'm trying to go and have fun put over these wrestlers it's like when all that stuff and people started I'm like dog I don't I don't want this yeah I I very much don't like that um how do I say this I don't like that there's another black person in this space that in any other circumstance I would support them and I would be like yeah that person is great but they've given me multiple reasons to be like now let me stay over here and I don't like that now you're like having to pass up doing something with another black person because of the energy around it I don't like I don't like what that that says for him I think that's unfortunate for him and I just think it's unfortunate all around I don't like nothing about it I've made jokes about it again I think it's funny but at the same time it is kind of messed up like I just don't like like it really like I'm wanted to do this it wasn't like I'm again it's not for clout you guys like I'm trying to build I'm trying to help these wrestling companies and and like Phil saying in any other circumstances to black guys commentating a show it like these are it's all supposed to be good stuff and the fact that it's this full and everybody was like ew it's like why you dog you shouldn't have a reputation like this and like now your reputation is going to affect my reputation if I'm even in the same building as your ugly ass come on Doc that's what I'm saying and that's why I've tried to not say anything on about him on his podcast because I don't want to encourage certain things I'm never going to be the person that uses our audience to then like go yeah that guy sucks you guys go yell at him like no I don't want you guys to do that I don't want to be on here I don't know going in on somebody else's work that I listen there's some people that I like that like that guy yeah I do exactly I have mutual friends that are cool with him and so that's why I'm like I personally don't like him and that's for that's for reasons that I won't get into on here but it's a lot deeper than him having fast nationals I'll just say that yeah he's done things that I'm just like and the funny thing is the initial thing that started certain things with our podcast that he did when he shared that he shared that DM with people I was being genuine with him I was like hey I don't dislike you dog I just don't agree with some of your things that's cool but he wanted y'all to know I said that hey just so you know I really meant that at the time hey how I feel about you has changed I don't like you sorry I'm supposed to go stand in a building with this guy come on you guys hey it's cool I just I think it's unfortunate I think everything about it is kind of nasty if anybody else want to book your boy for a commentary we'll let's do it yeah just you know do a background check on other person background check though I don't know dog it's kind of scary though like before we get off of that when I lived in San Jose there was like a big Scientology Center and right in front of it they had a sign that said personality quiz with this with an arrow pointing to go inside and I was like that sounds crazy that sounds and personality quiz come in I'm like that can't that can't be good that sounds nuts but yeah super chats send it your super chats if you want to talk to us about wrestling or Lincoln Park or the new lead singer or Scientology or for some reason or said as a bird chat where we get a higher piece of what you don't know how bird chats.com slash Fightful. I don't don't send too many about that. Chunk season says finally catching you guys live for the first time shout out to y'all man and shout out to Redge with that BK theme thank you so much appreciate you pulling up on an early morning I don't know it could be early morning it could be late now you could be anywhere in the world but we're getting to it because my guy is heading out to watch a really exciting show and I don't want to hear about it because I'm mad. Van Twin Blade says Rich Homie R.P. Rich Homie Kwan, Redge made a banger this coming Friday the most anticipated anime of the next season Dan Daddan Dan Daddan is doing a special screening in theaters and I'm going to see it you should too. I was like this sounds like a battle rapper Dan Daddan but it's Dan Daddan Daddan I don't know what that is. Dan Daddan yeah shout out to the Homie Van Twin Blade that's a very generous you but try to appreciate you. Rafael Garcia says congrats on the Brian Keith intro you really do like the learning tree after all. Yeah at least he likes apples. Listen I like bad apples you know shout out to the Homie Dream Ninja 77 says five bucks for Reds rapping on a major cable network congrats man you deserve it. You know when it's put into perspective like that it's like damn that like I was watching TNT last night and my voice was on there. What? How did I get here Phil I mean I worked to get here but it's crazy. Jay Miller 3389 says why did they have to do that to pit bull on the last Smackdown at Fox. Have fun at all out Phil I met Hobbs guns and Mariah at LA fitness tromberg oh shout out to you meeting the homies couple of homies. When he said pit bull I was like wait what happened and then the rest of it. But for all Phil why did they do pit bull like that. I don't know what what is this that's some like classic Vince shit. I don't know what that was that was weird. Like dude that maybe they were trying to maybe they were trying to flip it they sent a pilot out there and we all thought a pilot was going to get squashed and they were like no no no we're not going to do that to the black guy this time. I'm so confused do the vignette thing for like weeks and then he comes on and Apollo gets them and then. Yeah it was it was an interesting choice. Apollo. So Apollo with his bald head. Hey what's over there says Swerve was wrong about him and hangman being on the level of rock and Austin it's beyond it because rock and Austin never had this level of hatred and animosity. But certain people are not going to understand it and they're going to try and argue because that's how the internet works. Yeah it's different. I think that like the rock in Austin was like about being number one champion being the top guy in the company like. Hangman burn this guy's house down. I mean rock did throw this guy in a river. Yeah but he knew he was going to swim out. He did throw him in a river he did try to kill him on TV. That's not permanent like burning a person's house down. I mean he tried to kill him. He tried to kill him off a bridge. Listen he thought that Steve was a swimmer or a truck star. I don't know. Hey what's over there also says A.W. really should have Kenosuke beat Okada for Wrestle Dream at Wrestle Dream in Japan. I'd be here for it. I kind of want him to go back over to Japan and do some more stuff. And after that G1 thing I think we're all kind of excited about more prospects of that. But after their little stare down this week I'm like oh yeah let's get to it. Yeah. Hey what's over there also says the person you guys are referring to has the energy of that one cousin that you don't like being around during the family reunion. There were events that I stood next to him and that's not far off. Honestly. I'm like thinking about a little bit I'm like. That's not far off. Hey what's over there might be spitting. Yeah. I'd be trying not to encourage people to dunk on the guy. I really do man. That is legitimately genuine. I don't be trying to encourage that. It's not my fault that I also think certain things are funny. She's getting a little bit conflated because we think it's okay man. I've made jokes. I know people were probably going to go but you did that Nostradamus thing because in the moment I thought it was very funny. And it was. It hit hard. See sometimes our bits get a little our bits extend beyond where we want them to go and we're like oh shit I'm gonna take that back. Yeah. Uh, Coist Elling says congrats on the theme red. You deserve it tonight. The Swerve and Hangman match may be the bloodiest, gnarliest ever hell of a war type vibes. I hope. Yeah. Not intensity is through the roof now. There's no going. Swerve's definitely been watching that, uh, AR Fox match. He's definitely been watching his old CZW tapes. Like I expect like, uh, a swerve that we haven't seen in a long time. Out there tonight. Yes. Uh, and then Hey, what's over there also says to add more context Swerve and hangman reminds me of Triple H and HBK during the three stages of the failed match. Let's hope they don't ever do that. Please. We don't need to see that match. I don't give me one stage on. Yeah. Uh, Leonard Aaron's the third says swerve was focused on the spot hanger had and the opportunity which when he got it, he took advantage of hanger has escalated this majorly. My brain has passed down. Yes. Um, yeah. Appreciate y'all. Yeah. Before we get into that, cause I was going to say, uh, let's get into some of this stuff from dynamite. But let's see how many humper chats we have before I do that. Oh, yeah. Quite a few. So hold off on it. Um, let's see from blue collar gangster vlogs. He says, with the heat between hangman and swerve, uh, at all time high and IWC fans saying a W don't tell stories. Uh, it made me. It made me back off all the great stories and a W pass here are my, here are my top five. What are yours? He says, uh, five, Miro, uh, 10 TNT God's favorite champion. Um, he also had the best promos at the time for Eddie Kingston from quitting the business. To becoming triple crowd champion. Uh, three thonderosa versus DMD. Two hangman versus swerve. One, uh, the elite. See, ND, BT, ROA, snoochapan, A.W. bonus. MJF versus cold devil MJF punk. Kenny Omega. Um, you have your, your five or? Uh, swerve and hangman's definitely up there. Uh, off rip. Um, Brian, Danielson and Eddie Kingston. Just because of the history of that. Um, punker and MJF. Just because they told an amazing story with the. All that kind of connected to that. Um, those ones are the ones that shine through immediately. Yeah. Kenny, Kenny and, uh, amen. I would say is up there. I think I really liked belt collector. Kenny, even when his body was broken down, but when he had all the belts and he was on impact and he was all over there, that shit was hot. Yeah. Kenny, Kenny and hangman feud, I would say, for sure. Uh, and Britain Rosa. Yeah. I mean, they, they essentially got like a TV show off of it. So that did a lot of business. Oh, I'd say now, uh, Tony and Mariah. I put that there. Yep. Uh, appreciate you. Uh, from Tony P, he says, since Phil knows how to start this week's AEW segment, I'm going to give my capital collision report. Uh, for the second time going to New Japan show, I was near the most obnoxious fans. Missed all the pre-shows and the first two matches on, on the main card. Uh, so you would think I had a bad time with all that happening, especially missing, uh, Tricia and Mina doing, uh, DG's dance. Wrong. I, I was, it was a blast. I got to see Leo represent us with pride. Finally got my Darryl doll, uh, seeing incredible Zack Sabre tea time match. Uh, here, got some more here. Uh, no, up, up, not down. Uh, he says, uh, seeing, uh, Mercedes and Momo wrestle live for the first time. I had a blast with Ali Hiromu, uh, seeing a little girl repping, repping her big Sis Mercedes and met Kate with her Mark order pie fan. Thanks guys for pushing me to go to this and not smack now when it was here. Hello. Well, now I think, uh, I think the New Japan show was probably more fun. Yeah, it definitely looked like a more fun live experience for sure. And the matches on there, you had to pull up. I mean, the main event, Mercedes, like, well, what you talking about? Yeah, it looked like a hot show. It looked like the crowd was having fun. Um, the thing that you're describing, of course, I've come to accept that a lot of times when you go out, not just wrestling things anywhere. There's a high percentage you're going to end up sitting next to or close to someone. That's very obnoxious because unfortunately a lot of people suck. Um, and you know, I hate that that's the case and that's a part of the reason why I am a big introvert. Somebody said something a few weeks ago and they were like, why, why do introverts hate people? No, no, no, no. Don't get this wrong. Introverts don't hate people. They hate some of the inconveniences of dealing with people. And so sometimes I'd rather just be at home and not have to deal with people being obnoxious when they go outside. Dog, last night I went to the hood slam show after I watched collision and rampage. And so we're standing there before the show and there's like this cute woman standing here. She's probably like five foot. You're like, she can't see as great as she wants to. And so this tall guy comes in with this tall girlfriend and he just stands right in front of her. And it's like, dude, you're tall. You can stand in the back. You don't have to be in the front. And so she was like, she looks to her friends and she's like, I can't handle this right now. She just walks away and it's like, this is exactly the type of situation that Phil is describing. It's not that she hates people. She's just like this dumb idiot inconvenienced my night when I could be at home eating popcorn and watching Netflix. Yeah. I don't know why people choose when they get around a lot of people to be as a. But it happens. Go figure. It was a good show. Did you watch it? So what? Capital collision. Oh, no, I didn't get to watch the capital collision show on full. Okay. Yeah, no, it was a good show. Um, it, uh, the, the, the overarching theme of this was, you know, tech is wrestling somebody and then, you know, forcing them out of their comfort zone. That happened in quite a few matches and it happened so often I was like, oh, a lot of these matches are starting to feel kind of similar. And I don't think that made the show bad. It's just, I immediately noticed that. But it was a fun show. I thought the, the, the pre-show match with the women was good. Uh, Bina is incredibly entertaining as always, Trisha Dora is incredibly underrated. Um, I wish that they would use her more on a W and ROH. But yeah, that was fun. Uh, the show opened with the three way tag for the number one contendership for the strong tag titles. Uh, E.C. and Tanahashi won that match. They took on Grizzly Young Veterans and TMDK pretty fun match, which I expected. Uh, you got the six man tag match, which was, you know, what you would expect from like a big multi man new Japan match. It was, uh, Rocky Romero, Yoshi, Hashi, uh, Kevin Knight. And against the Bullet Club, David Finlay, Clark Conner, and Jilla Baloney. Uh, Jilla Baloney is, Baloney is funny every time I see him because I'm like, this is like the most Italian looking guy. [laughter] Every time I see him. And he's from England. Right. He's like the most Italian look at England guy, English guy I've ever seen. Yeah, every time he talks it's like, wait. [laughter] English wrestler. [laughter] He's like, I'm like, this guy looks very Italian. He does. Um, yeah, we also got, uh, the, uh, dirty work. Uh, Tom Lawler, Fred Rosser, taken on, uh, West Coast Wrecking Crew. And then no disqualification tag match. That was also a blast. Um, Fred Ross is one of those guys, man. He's one of those staples for New Japan Strong. Mm hmm. And I often don't think he gets enough credit for that. He doesn't. Um, and Tom Lawler is just incredibly fun to watch, man. Mm hmm. Tom Lawler as a wrestler is also kind of underrated because I think people kind of put his antics that he has like online on him, but like, no, Tom Lawler is a serious wrestler. He used to be an MMA superstar. He'll beat your ass. But yeah, he's just so entertaining when the matches happen that, uh, any time his, his, he has a match on the card, it makes sense because it's variety, you know? Yes. Um, we got the 2024 G1 climax winner. Zach Sabre Junior taking on T-Time and in a singles match, uh, Zach won the submission. It was great match. It was what you'd expect Zach, uh, folding a guy up and hitting them with those holds. Um, it was great. Uh, I saw initially when this was announced and the tournament was going on. I was like, oh, no, I don't like my chances of, uh, Zach winning. If that's his first match right after the G1 because I was like, why would they do that? But of course T-Time is a member of, uh, Los Inga bin Ables. So he is tied to the current champion. So yeah, if it's, I just, it, I just second guess myself when I first saw it. I was like, oh, no, man. But now this was a great match. Uh, Tony's right about this. This was one of my favorite matches. It's Zach. Zach is one of my favorite wrestlers in the industry right now. It's also great to watch live and his, he's always been great, but like people that didn't get his stick get it now. So like it's even harder. Like we've been in on Zach's favor for so long, but now like the technical grapple shit is like a bit more widely known. And so like it just makes everything even better. So cause he could turn anything into something. So like everything hits, you know? Yeah, I think people were trying to unfairly call him boring because that style of wrestling, they're not always the fan of, but like doing the holds and doing like the limb work and all that stuff. And it has this reputation of just being boring matches. Um, but he's just such a charismatic guy. He comes out with the English punk rock music. He's super cocky. He's got to talk trash to you. Um, I mean, it's actually a guy. It's just something about him. And when you see him, you're like, what, what, this guy is something about him and then he gets in there and he's talking shit and he's turning people into pretzels and you're like, Oh, I see it. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, we got a night. Oh, taking on TJP. It's not a match up. I thought I would see on this card. Um, current IWGP, World Heavyweight Champion, taken on TJP. Um, basically the story of the match was TJP was doing some limb work. He was working the knee throughout the match because of course, Naito has issues with his knees for some time now. Naito needs. Naito needs. Um, so he was working the knee. He also hit him with some myths at some point, but Naito caught him with that, uh, Destino, uh, roll up thing that he's been doing. It's not called a Destino. It's called something else, but he, the, the roll up, he does, because people were, people were all over my guy at one point, like, man, these Destinos look ugly. But, uh, when he started doing that, uh, that transition into the roll over and, and getting that pin afterwards in the G one, I was like, nah, catching them. It's just like when, uh, when wood started doing it backwards, this was, feels like he's been catching everybody with it. That's how he won this match. Um, it kind of felt like he just kind of eat the bag TJP funny enough, but good match. I thought it was a, a fun match, Naito is still Naito incredibly charismatic, incredibly entertaining to watch. Oh, you, do you think they're kind of trying to tell the same story that they're telling with, uh, Zack Sabre, he's taking on people kind of close to Naito. And so they're having Naito take on technical guys, maybe like going into Zack Sabre Jr. Maybe so because I mean, because when I saw this match, I was like, what? But that kind of makes sense, you know, yeah, cause TJP is well rounded. He can do the high flying stuff, but he, he does have a really good mat style as well. Um, cuz I mean, if you watched the Cruiserweight classic, I mean, a lot of ways he was winning those matches was with the knee bar. Yeah. So yeah, he and Naito, his Achilles heel for lack of better words is his knee. So this works. Um, but yeah, I thought this was a, this was a good match. Uh, we got a TMDK, uh, Mikey Nichols and Shane Hayes taking on etch-a-zero and v-ruce. I keep wanting to say virus, v-ruce. When you see it, that's what you want to say, but, but it makes sense. Yeah, v-ruce. And, um, this was great as well. Um, it was another one where it felt like a lot of technical wrestling, um, a lot of hold and limb work, but man, I like TMDK a lot. I, I think they're just a great stable and this was a fun tag match. Um, I think for me, when the show really picked up with the last three matches, uh, the matches before that were good, but I think the last three matches were much better. Um, Haramu versus, uh, Moostify Lee was great. Um, they have a good rivalry going. They've had two matches going so far and this one was, I think, better than the one we got at, uh, Wendy's City Riot. Uh, I could see it's getting a third one, honestly, because all this time they've been wrestling and it hasn't been, hasn't been like IWGP heavyweight title match. I feel like they've got another big one in them and this one, but this one was good. I enjoyed this a lot, um, but man, the match that Tony talked about, Gabe Kid versus Leo Rush, man, I said this during the G one, but Gabe Kid always finds a way to get people to wrestle his style, come down to this level and wrestle his style of match. And then on top of that, um, he's so good at beating down on somebody and just being relentless that when somebody else charges up against them and they show that fighting spirit against them, like it's impossible to not root for them. And that was Leo throughout this match. Leo was getting beat up on at one point. He got busted open and right after he got busted open, he lifted his head and you can see like the blood trickling down and he just gets clobbered with this knee strike. I was like, Oh my God, but he kicked out immediately. But the best near falls of the night, um, just everything Leo did, Leo came out with the band and like this guy that was like, like dancing, like it was hilarious. He was like doing a snake and Leo came out, wrapping the lyrics to it. I was like, yo, it was wild. I was like, Hey, yo, you had to see it though. I can't do, I can't do it justice. He, he, he was doing the snake. Yeah, I'm telling you, he came out and he was like, I was like, bro, what is going on? But his, his, he weren't there. Yes. Chalk of the city. Um, and this was a very, this felt very much like black indie wrestling. I mean, I mean, that Amherstady's interest, same thing. It felt very much like answers to, uh, yes, it felt very much black indie wrestling and I was like, dude, these two man, um, but now Leo's interest was, it was funny to me just to somebody that thinks silly things are funny, but I was like, now Leo, Leo's, Leo's a different cat man. So it was Matt, but he wrestled a great match for Gabe, uh, he, he definitely showed his work here, um, it was like a DC DMV dance, but I tell you, bro, it was like the DMV. That's how they do it out there. Nah, you had to see a dog. I can't do it justice man. It was great. He had to do with like a ketar and then he had like a, another dude with like, they was getting, they shut off out there. So that interest was so cool, but it was also like, yo, it just, just because that setting new Japan, you just wouldn't think that would new Japan. And that's why I thought it was immediately funny, but I also think that that's dope. The fact that those were two of the biggest things in the night and then main event it by a black woman. I was like, this is awesome in DC and just like, you know, the scene in DC, if you've been to DC in the DMV area, a lot of black people, a lot of lives, just a reason why, you know, the areas called chocolate city. Yeah. That's really dope. That day was back to back like that. And like you said, it's new Japan. They, this historically the black wrestlers don't get main event spots and they don't get big entrance like this. So seeing something like that is dope, but yeah, he man, Russell, the great match him and Gabe went at it. Gabe of course picked up the win here, but Leo showed a lot of fight, man. He came out of it looking great. This didn't feel like he just got beaten. He lost. He came out of this proven his worth. And then we got the main event, the main event Mercedes came out. She had like the American music hit before it went into the CEO and I've heard it enough now that I'm just saying, man, the CEO record, it hits for me. I'm sorry. Every time I hear it, I'm in less than off ripples like, look, the Mercedes ain't that bad as y'all trying to put on there. And the more I hear it, I'm like, look, hey, let Mercedes do her thing. She was in there. I said, I said, I said, I said, I said, I said, I don't know what she can talk about, but she be doing her thing. Let Mercedes cook. She came out and she had the two secret service dudes next to her breakdancing. I said, there's so many breakdancing and wrestling said that that Olympics should inspire them. I'm like, why is everybody keep having a breakdancing outside dog like Olympics changed everything, man. I'm not mad at it. No. She came out with the two secret service guys breakdancing next to her. She had her outfit on with the tearaway pants. She's so funny, man. She had her, like, before Juneteenth became a thing, you knew that one friend that had their 4th of July outfit on with like all the American flag and stuff. So when she came out, that's what I immediately thought. I was like, Mercedes got the 4th of July outfit on. The thing I love about it so much is it looks like she's having so much fun. Yes. Just wearing mad and she's just like being so silly about it is great. The other thing I thought was very funny about this is that she's very much a heel and AEW. You would not know that watching this match in New Japan because she came out super excited. She had the dancers with her. She was walking around high-fiving people around the ringside, got in a ring, wrestled a very baby face match against Momo. I mean, Momo is a heel in New Japan. I mean, we'll start them because she's a part of hate, which used to be a wedotie. So made sense for her to come in and work baby face. But man, even after the match, they kept the feet going and she was taking selfies with people along the barricade. They were like, kids walking up and doing a dance with her. I'm like, "Yo, what is going on?" I'm like, "Maybe it's for a baby son. I'm loving it. That's dope." Totally different from her in New Japan. I mean, I keep saying New Japan in AEW. In New Japan, over there, it's just like you would have thought she was the hottest baby face there is. Main event in the show, all of these people were excited to see her. The CEO chants throughout the match were loud. So I don't know, maybe it's Sammy W fans. What's going on? She trying to slap hands when she come out. Yeah. But now the match was great. This was essentially what you'd expect. There was a very stardom style match, Momo worked the same style that you would expect from her. Even got of the matches from the week prior, I think people had had some questions. What match indeed? The match has been scrubbed from the internet. I was saying one photo, one clip, nothing. No, but yeah, this match hit and people were like, "No, this was great." They gave them a lot of time because again, it was the main event and they worked, man. They did a lot of counters. They did like a lot of back and forth, very hard hitting strikes. It was great. Mercedes won with the transition she's been doing now from the money maker and to the statement maker for us to just tap out. It was a good show. Like I said, it was very, a lot of black presence on it and I thought that that was cool. I think that's been one of the coolest things about current New Japan strong stuff. Yeah. I really dope for it to end that way with those hot three matches and former Sadie's, Leo, Gabe Kid, Momo, all these people to get this opportunity sounds really dope. I'm going to have to watch that show on full. Yeah. I did think it was very funny that AW showed the footage from that right away, because capital coalition happened Friday and they showed the footage from that match the next day to hype up the stuff that they're building to for the pay-per-view tonight. They have not shown anything from this all in match, not not a single one second. They immediately like, hey, look at her in New Japan. She's having a great time. Y'all saw this? Yeah. They put that clip up immediately. They moved on immediately to the next few. We haven't heard anything about Britt Baker. She hasn't been on any promotional material, has not been on a show for two weeks. They have exactly. They have nothing. No. They quickly moved on. That's very interesting. Crazy. The fact that they're just getting immediately cheated was like, it's me, I'm next and like, nobody else. You know what I mean? Like, Britt hasn't said nothing. There's that thing that she was on the poster and then she was off and people were saying, well, that's because she got like a lot going on over there. But yeah, super interesting stuff. I figured, remember I said on the podcast, all Mercedes is going to wash that taste out of people's mouth on Friday and that's exactly what it happened. That match was much better. Much better opponent. I thought that they had much better chemistry together. Maybe Britt's going to interfere tonight, I don't know. I wouldn't be so. Yeah, but AEW dynamite right after this. I mean, we can get into some of the collision stuff because that's where the four way happened with the women to decide Mercedes opponent for tonight. That was pretty good. I think the stuff they've been doing with sheet on collision has been great. I think her promos have been getting better and better. Yeah. Yeah, that's where they showed that a new Japan footage. That's where they got right into it. Yeah, I thought that match was super fun. The ladies in that getting a four way slot, getting to cook and and established himself was really dope. She to I think is the right choice that teaser that we had a few weeks ago with her in Mercedes. I was like, Oh, yeah, give me more. And I know what they do tonight is going to blow some people's minds. Yes. Yeah, I thought that that was a good spot for the women, giving them their main event on collision and then, you know, building up to the match. And I think she was the right choice, she to straight away those were the two big matches to do straight away from from a worker's point of view, she'd of course with the big opponent. But for, you know, the star power and a name recognition Brit with the opponent. Yeah. So now that you've done the Brit match, they made logical sense to go back to she get right to it. And she does confidence, I guess maybe being in the position or given the opportunity to be a position is really shining through her promos or have been exceptional like the pop she's been getting. She just feels like confident and in the moment. So that's why I'm super excited about the match Mercedes and Camille have been giving she does some shit. The difference in presentation from the last few is just so glaring and funny. So it's so funny, man. Yeah. But I mean, that's why I say credit where it's due the Brit and Mercedes stuff was treated like a big deal. They were getting the opening segments. They were getting all of the stuff necessary to present this like a big feud. The end result just didn't really deliver. Yeah, it's cool to see she did in the spot more good to see her doing more promos, good to see her showing more character. And the ace thing is working. It's definitely getting over. I figured it was going to work because it's just true like anytime like just a true actual fact, she does the ace of this division, like people are going to navigate towards that. And if she has it kind of as a catch phrase type thing she can attach to, that's just going to make it even bigger. And I think that's exactly what's happening here. Her confidence and her will to feels like improve and learn is top notch like the sheet of that came into this company was a great wrestler. But the improvements that she's made since then is like, Oh, no, she does one of the best wrestlers in the world. Yeah, I agree. She's definitely one of my favorite wrestlers in the company. But yeah, we got a really good dynamite. I think we've got two very good dynamites in a row. As much as we've got on and talked about like, Oh, do these pay per views really need to be this close and some of the discourse online, I think they did a very good job with the build for all out this year coming out of all in. I think in two weeks, two weeks they've done, they've transitioned perfectly. I think that's because they had already started building certain stuff for this pay per view before all in. So they could easily transition. You already had the danny stuff from a few months ago. You already had hangman and square ready. You already had certain things with Mercedes that you could do. So it was kind of easy to just transition from all in in two weeks. And I think that's the right way to go. Yeah, it's funny because we kind of talked about that a little bit with like the Darby stuff and kind of the things that they had set up pre all in. But it's like, yeah, they were planting seeds for what happened here. So like they immediately kind of got to get to the stuff right for all out coming out of all in. And I think that's played such an important role to this. But I mean, if we're talking about go home shows, the end of this dynamite and the reaction like that's how you sell a show feel like there's been some times coming out of go home shows for N A W specifically where I'm like, is there a show happening? Like you didn't sell me anything. And so this time people were like, no, I'm getting tickets or I'm buying this show because this dude would swerve and hang man is so hot. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I think that the this was just a great go home show all around. I think because the ending was so good, people aren't talking about how good the opening segment was the opening segment was was was incredible. I thought Danny did a great job. He came out, cut a really, really good promo. And then Max, because you know, Max does this, he had a great response. I thought their beatdown segment in the in the crowd was great. You know, the usual you could say about the max segment might have been a little long, but that's what it is. You could cut you could cut a little bit off of it, but it was very, very good. I thought I thought all of Dan's mind to him hit telling him that nine man, you say you don't care about what these fans say, but you put on makeup to cover your acne. You went out there and got hair plugs, and they didn't even work like he was he was cooking do what I was like, yeah, and I don't know if you can say all that big dog, but Dan definitely said all that. No, he was cooking. But Max Max came back at him. I think given the line of man, I gotta, you know, they say you got to go through hell to get to paradise. And he hit some with that glass and he was like, Sunday, Saturday, sorry. I once say Sunday, like Brian could say Sunday, Saturday, I'm going to send you to paradise. Just tell me thanks. That was such a great line to end off of leaving him near bloody. So, so good. Very much looking forward to that match. I think that's going to be one of the top matches of the night. Yeah. I thought this segment was awesome. Danny showed a lot, a lot of fire. And the thing that see, this is when Max really shines is in the segment. He sat back and he let Danny cook like he was it. There wasn't any moment where he was over Danny. He was trying to talk like there was none of that. Like he let Dan get all of his stuff in, let him establish it. And then when he came with it with his rebuttal, like he still was giving it up at the same time. Like Max is so good when he just doesn't try to focus on the max, you know, fucking low hanging fruit. It's like pointed feud stuff like this was like top notch promo stuff right here. And then the beat down afterwards kind of showing, I think that adds more heat for Daniel because like, do people believe he can win like this is adding even more parallel to him? And I think he might pull it out tonight. Yeah. Yeah. I think that this was a great way to go. Having the match again, full circle of going back to Chicago where the initial beat down with Dan happened. Yeah. But I thought the segment was very good. Garcia continues to prove that he's much better as a promo than people think he is. Yep. Here with you, Max, Max is a heel, why I've always thought he was better at the heel is that he knows how to let someone play to their strengths in a promo. He never just like completely cuts them short. He's the more popular talker, but he always lets the other person get that shit off before he comes back at them. Right. He's been, he's been very good at that since day one of the heel. And I think that the stuff he's been doing with Garcia has been more focused. It hasn't been like as all over the place to some of his other feuds. Honestly, I think this is his best feud in a while. Like, like I would say this to me is better than even an Osprey feud because it's so focused and it's so personal. I like it better than the Osprey feud because yeah, it feels like Max is really trying to make a concern effort to put Garcia over like Garcia is already over, but Max wants it to be like, stamp on it after this Max is, or Danny Garcia is the top guy after what happens here. And I think that's what's so much more important about it. It's like, after every promo, it used to be like, for a while when MJF was like at his height, like just talking about one line, that's some low hanging fruit thing. We're going to focus on this. After this, it's like, they're talking about what Danny said. They're talking about what MJF said. They're talking about the beat. They're talking about the whole segment. It feels like it's more towards the story and not trying to like, make headlines. Yeah, it's not as, it's not so much heavily relying on catch phrases as well that when I started to not like about the baby face stuff, it was, it was too much stick. It was too much catch phrases. And this is, this is more of what I liked about Max from the beginning, like these boys about to fight. Yeah. Now this was great. I thought the, I thought the Mercedes segment was also great after the match. And they just couldn't help themselves when they did the, the sheet, a segment from the Tron. I, I don't know what to call it. I keep wanting to call it something else, but I guess Tron, it's, it's the Tron. The Tony Tron, the contron or whatever the contron, but yeah, I thought that a kind of giving sheet at that moment was fun. I'm ready to see some in ring things, maybe see sheet of go back and forth with somebody, but I think she's a slow walk in the dog into that. And this got a really big pop, her popping up there and giving Mercedes a piece of her mind. Yeah. Yeah. She knows how to excite certain fans that one time when she had the match where she ripped her, her jacket open and started slapping her chest and that was everywhere. So when she did the, the Yakuza cosplay guys, not solo, sekoa, Yakuza cosplay, when she did it again, and she did like her super, superman mode and had her shut under there. People got excited. People were definitely channigates. Um, those small things work when she does, I mean, she just knows how to, she knows how to get the crowd investing in her. But I thought this was great, but I said they couldn't help themselves. They could not help themselves. She had to say bitch it then, because of course, that's what I was like, but isn't that Okada's thing? Why is she also doing this? I thought it was a good tie back to the segment from last week, because remember, she asked Okada, how do you say bye, bitch? And so she flipped it on her with like, I know you know, some Japanese, but yeah, we got the, we got the revelation, revelation, revelation. I can talk, I can talk, revelation, we got the revelation here that Camille will be banned from ringside. It will be just a one-on-one match. I don't know that I believe that Ridge, I do think that somebody will probably help Mercedes win this match, but this was a good segment as well. I thought this was a good way to sell this match ahead of all out. Um, who's going to help her? There seems like some certain twins might be up for the job. A couple of renegades, a couple of renegades. Yeah, no, I think this is a, like we were talking about, this is much different build than Mercedes and Brit, and you could just tell, like, it's more focused on wrestling and what's going to happen at the show, and so I'm ready to see Mercedes have a big, one of them long, epic ones in AEW, and I think this is the one. Yes, we got a, we got a fire Ocada match as well, which led to the continental challenge matches from religion to set up the four way for tonight. We have a feel for that set up, very excited to get into that, very excited that we're also getting an Ocada match tonight, um, whatever, um, but yeah, we got, we got the set up for more jack stuff, and then we got the shut set up as well for Yuta and Claudio taking on the bucks and attack match. So I don't know how I feel about this, because again, they did one of my least favorite AEW tropes of they made these guys into the trio's champion with a different partner with Pac, and then immediately after they challenged for another set of championships. Why don't you defend the belts that you have? It's very frustrating. Yeah. Um, but the match is going to be awesome, but like, stop doing that. Yeah. That are currently champions are getting championship matches tonight. I don't know, but I, I, I, I'm at least excited that the bucks are going to wrestle tonight, because I didn't think they were going to be on a card. So I'm glad that they are going to be on a card. I was hoping we were going to get the grisly young vets match, but I guess they're pushing that one down the road. Uh, but yeah, and they haven't announced the FTR and grisly young vets match. It seems like we are getting an eight match card. Shocker. I'm still shocked. I'm like looking at my phone, like Tony's got to announce something. There's no way he's only going to put it in your face. All you people that were like, Ha, ha, you're going to jinx yourself and get a Jericho match. Leave me alone. We're not going to Jericho match in your face. There's still time filled. There's shut up, shut up. You just never know that's sneaky Jericho, man. He's very sneaky. I would be very surprised if you get to the show and there's only eight matches on this card, but you know, crazier things have happened. I think, you know, with the, like we're saying, the two week bill, like honestly, you can do it, you know? Yeah, it can work, but obviously the biggest talking point of the night is going to be the main event segment. Before the show started, they put that online segment up of Swerve buying his childhood home. And the second thing hit the internet, everybody was like, Oh, no, if Hangman sees this, that house is going up. And so everybody kind of knew where it was going, but I thought the beauty of this is that people knew where it was going and it's still delivered. I thought it was brilliant to have Swerve come out there and then do the usual contract signing stuff and Hangman immediately popping up on screen. And it was like, what do you think I was going to show up and sign a contract? I already want the match. You already know I want the match. I don't care about a contract signing, whatever, I'm here because you showed me something that you shouldn't have showed me. And so does he said that I was like, Oh, no. And everything he said was classic villain monologue stuff. Like, what do you think I was going to tell you my plan before I did it? And that's why I thought it was even funnier when people like, he's not back. I was like, he's doing very bad guy things like that was very Kevin Owens line that he said to like a contract sign that's so arbitrary, like, we know the match is going to happen. Listen, we know the match is going to happen. That's cool. But, you know, you bought this house, this is you shouldn't have showed me this. That was the best part about it, like how they've prepped this. And so when they put out the video earlier, Swerve and Nana, which is funny, now that clip of Swerve celebrating in the front has became like me, I love it. And so when that happened, everybody was like, dog, you should not have shown us this hangman is not going to be happy. And so when it gets to the thing, and then when it goes to hangman and you realize he's in the house and the crowd's like, then they know what's going to happen. But it still hits because they know what he's going to do. And so he gets into the monologue, starts talking to Bosworth's mom and his dad saying that I shouldn't have hated him and all this crazy stuff. And then you start to hear the gasoline poor, you're like, shit, this is happening. Yeah. I thought that that was great. Just how the camera stayed close up on him and it was, it was very chaotic and messy the whole time, like it just stayed on his face and on his upper half. And so you could hear him splashing the gasoline, but it never showed it until he got all the way outside of the house and you could see him carrying the gasoline canister. I thought that that was smart. That picture of him sitting in front of the house and watching the fire go into the house and burn it up, I kind of, I sit in a nice grassy, but I think that's going to be one of those memorable things that people think about with AEW. And I think that's the mark of a great go home episode. This is, to me, one of the greatest go home segments the company has ever done. Clearly I think this is one of the best views the company, if the best view the company has ever produced, but this go home segment alone, like you said earlier, that's how you sell a pay-per-view. That's how you get people interested in a big match, a main event. And then when you think of like, rest in peace, rest in peace to sit and how many people showed that clip of Sid coming out there to his car smashed and his reaction to it. And how that became such a big meaning to this day. Yeah, and I feel like it's going to be the same with this. This is going to produce so many memorable moments from the picture of him sitting outside in front of the house on fire, to just the entire clip of it, to swerve his reaction to it in a ring. It's just going to create one of those all time moments. I feel like they're going to add it to the dynamite intro. We're going to be seeing that house burning. I've seen that picture of hangman drinking in front of the house at minimum 10 billion times since the shows happened like, it's, it made such a staple, hangman was already that guy. But this was like that pivotal moment of like, wow, he's into something else and we're going to remember this for a long time and it's going to be attached to what AWS for a while. I thought that swerve played a great role in it too, because it's been like this kind of miss like, is he a hill, is he a baby face, like no matter of a hill, what you are dog, you burn my house down like I am furious. I want to kill you. I want to get back at this. I think it's just added more a different layer to the feud and now they're going to be locked in a cage tonight. It's like, wow, what a build up. Yeah. What a great bill. What a great story. And really back to back weeks where I think they had the best segment on the show because last week when they had the stare down after the match with ECE and they had that back and forth, man, swerve cooked this guy, I mean, annihilated this guy on the mic. And really, there was no, there was no response. He could not say anything because really everything he said is true. It's like, dude, I did all of these things to get to where I am today. I did all of these things out of ambition. I tried to challenge you and I tried to show you, you're at a standstill right now. And I'm going to get past you and I just, I'm going to get past you. I'm going to be champion. And I did that. And you're still in the same place. No, scratch that. You're in a worse place because you're still thinking about me. Look at where we've gotten, I think, with this also filled the things that we've talked about swerve and him as world champion and where that propelled him to. And now they're in a feud where they have to be the main event of the show and the world title is not involved. Yes. This is like, that's crazy that we've gotten here. This is how fast things happen. Double or nothing, they were like, man, is this rain really doing what it's supposed to do for swerve because his first defense is champion, he's not main eventing. He went from that to main eventing with Brian at the biggest show of the year to dropping the belt and still main eventing without the belt. That's how much this title reign has elevated him. That's how much this feud has really raised both of these guys' profiles. I mean, Hangman was already a made guy in this company, but I feel like just these two together, man, this has been, I feel like this feud can keep going for a while, like even if, even if this is like a match for now and then we revisit it later this year or next year, every time these guys come back together, it's going to hit. Like if these guys are the main event of all in, next year in Texas, I wouldn't be surprised at all. You know what I mean? Like, we're going to continue this for like, this isn't one of those staple feuds that in four years swerve is still going to be like, leave me the fuck alone, hangman, and we're still going to be all in on it, you know? Yeah. Hangman is also, I've realized it this week. He's reached Roman territory. And before people jump on me, let me explain what I mean by that. I'm not saying star power. He's reached Roman territory in that his female fans don't care what he does, they're still going to root for him. They don't care. Dude, no, I don't care. He broke down that house and they were like, nah, he's right though. They broke down all kind of reasons this week as to why I'm like, I get, he's in that territory with his fans, love him so much. They don't care what he does. Yeah. He's talking with them. Like you're supposed to boo him, he's supposed to be the bad guy, but no, they love him no matter what, man. He's major fans. Fans are invested in hangman like if you did not learn anything this week on Twitter and out of all of this, his fans are riding with him no matter what he does. Didn't he put out a message to tell them the chill? Was that real? That message that I saw, he put out like an Instagram message or something, I was like, you guys relax. It's so like be careful or something like trying to tell his fans to not be as crazy. He's just a different level of superstar at this moment. And yeah, so I've been kind of up and down on the finish because I'm like, this guy burned this guy's house down. He's going to burn him down and then beat him down in the cage. That sounds crazy. But I think with the add is stipulation of it being unsanctioned or lights out, that's more of a reason why hangman's going to go over tonight. Yes. Don't get me wrong because I've seen somebody say it already. I'm not saying just female friends, but I'm telling you, I've seen the vibes, bro. Women love hangman. It's different. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Women love hangman. And also like I just feel like in general, he's the most interesting character in the entire company. So and I think his journey from day one to this point has just been so fascinating to watch that, you know, we got from a place where some people were like, really, he's the one like he's the guy that they're trying to push to the forefront and say, me, he's going to be the first AW world champion. Why do people want that? And like man, in five years, he's become like the most compelling character in the company by far. I have been proven wrong. I came on this show being like, why is this for the champion? Brian needs to beat him in his fucking first defense, essentially. And boy was I wrong. We talked about it on Ask Graph City. King man is so calculated in every single thing that he does mean something. You connect every second of his career to something, some kind of story in the past in the future. Like his moments mean so much and it's built a lot of goodwill with the fans because they know if he's on screen or if he's doing something, it's important. Yeah. I don't know if other people have made disconnection, but I've been thinking it for months. I think man hasn't been quite right since he lost that title. And I mean, it really started in the in the in the in the rain. It started in the punk feud. Like the story at some point was him getting to the top of the mountain and becoming champion. And then the story after that was, hey, what do you have to do to keep this belt? Like what does it mean to be champion? And at the end of his run, getting through everything he did, coming in the door as being this homegrown guy that built himself up beat the best wrestler in the company by most people's adage. Most people would say the Kenny is the best wrestler in the company beat that guy to become champion. But there's always going to be somebody else that comes from that other company that already has star power and it already has it. And that's why you weren't champion from day one because it would it had to be Jericho brought eyes to the company. But then when punk showed up, oh, this guy is the guy that's going to lead us into the future. This guy is the workers rights guy. This guy. That's the guy you believe in. No, I'm the champion of this company. I'm not going to just give it to him. And then when he beat him and having that moment in that match of that belt sitting there and he could have cheated and he could have done it. He could have done what other people have done to be champion and he wouldn't do it because he was still trying to be an honorable man. That guy is gone. Watching him burn down that house, man. That guy that had kept that was skeptical about that that didn't want to cheat to win. That guy's gone. And that's such a great story, just the idea that he came from that place of this guy came in and they put the belt on him because he had star power. And then another guy from that company came in and he built himself up from scratch here and came up and he's champion. It's just like, well, wait a minute. He did all of these horrible things in the process of building his self folks from scratch. Y'all picked him over me again. You picked that guy over me. It's happening again. And so I can see this all tricking him in a way of like, nah, man, I've tried to be an honorable guy. I've tried to do things with integrity. You people don't care about that. And like if I'm supposed to be set up, if they told me I'm going to have the keys to the kingdom and now the somebody else has a key to the kingdom, I just watched him sign a big contract with Tony Khan, I'm about to burn all of his life down. This guy, this is the guy that you're saying is the future of the company. Nah. Nah. I can't let that happen. I'm going to burn his entire shit down. I think the fact that he's been saying that I'm going to burn your world thing down since he came back and it paid off into this. All just great storytelling, man. Paid off to him actually burning some down crazy ass white boy, man. That's wild. 0 to 100, Phil. Yeah. I also think it was interesting that people were like, oh, well, you know, he just burned down a building. It's justifiable. It's okay. It's just a building. No, he burned down his childhood home. I don't know if you guys realize this, what people's childhood home means to them. I was telling you guys in a group chat, like when we had to move out of our childhood home when I was a kid, it was very traumatic for me. My parents were getting a divorce at a time. When we moved out, it was just like, why is this happening? Because you're the kids. You just don't understand it. You just think like, this is our house. What do you mean? We have to move. And so, you know, just that idea of struggle and what that means to somebody and how that drives somebody to want to be better, to want to achieve things and come back and retake things that were theirs, that's a part of where a story, that's a part of who he is. And so to get to this point in his career where he's champion, he's main event at Wembley and he was able to buy back his childhood home and then somebody took it away from him, even if they felt justified. No, he's never going to forget that. Right. Yeah. He immediately took it away from. I worked hard. Like, I became the person that I am in that home and you took that away from me immediately. We are going to war and it's just like, the comparisons are so fun. Like, well, we're broken to his house and he talked to his kid and he put a kid that he should own his kid. I'm like, he did that and then the fool burned his house down. I'm like, that's a crazy transition. He permanently took a piece of his life away from him. Exactly. Permanently. You can't bring that back. You're not getting that back. Yeah. Great storytelling. Great for you. Very excited for tonight's pay-per-view. We get into this eight-match card. Let's get into it because we didn't talk about that all-star tag team match where we got to see potentially the match of the night, Will Osprey and Pack fucking go at it for seconds and blow my mind. I can't imagine what they're going to do tonight. Yeah. I mean, well, you watch Collision. I didn't get a chance to see all of Collision. I did. How was that? How was the eight-man match? Oh, the eight-man match was super fun. It was, they started it. They did the kind of bit where they put the shows together. They started it with like 20 or something minutes to go in Collision, and then it bled into like 20 minutes of Rampage, so it was like a pretty lengthy match. The bits with Brian and Jack were awesome. I mean, we talked about kind of the circumstances surrounding that match and should Jack be in here. But Jack has been doing his work. He did a promo. Was that on Dynamite? He was on Dynamite. Yeah. Or he kind of broke where he broke down a little bit of the backster, trying to add some context to why this is happening. I'm like, "Okay, I like that." Yeah. He was going to get all out 2021, so he tried to add that to that. Exactly. So a little bit of console. I get what you're doing, but I thought their interactions on the match last night were like, "All right, yeah. Now they're going to definitely kick it into high gear." Claudio and anybody in the world, like Claudio is such a great fucking wrestler. The way that he's a base for people, the way that he's just the perfect rest, that JBL ticket. If you weren't a Korean, a perfect wrestler in a goddamn factory, Claudio has to know a dog. That guy can fucking work. Yeah. I thought collision was super fun. They had a six-man match with Dustin and Sammy and Hologram against the Dark Order. So seeing Hologram. Hey, Colo D'Donne. I kind of saw that he's not wrestling this weekend, man. I think they should put him in a zero-hour match. Oh, they did announce zero-hour matches on the show, actually. She probably should look into that. Let's get into this card. Yeah. We also, but yeah, you're right. We did get some stuff with Jack on Dynamite. I thought that that promo was good. I thought the execution of that was good. Some of the stuff on the EVPs run down to the ring stuff was all right, but yeah. I thought other than that, the mock stuff was very good. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Mox walked past Jack going out to the ring, and he said, "I don't care what anybody says. You're a sweet kid." And if you know you're a Mox lure, then it's also what he told, "Hang, man," said, "You're a sweet kid. You just talk a lot of shit and you get involved in some stuff you shouldn't be in." I'm, of course, paraphrasing. I thought it was also super interesting that that Mox and Marina walked up and the elite, they looked at him like, they didn't look at him like he was a threat or they wanted to jump him. And later in the show, they came out and beat up the BCC, a group that he used to be or is a put like, and he did not make the save. He did not come to help them at all. The way he was dressed this week confirmed some things that I thought last week. He once again called out Darby, and he just told him, "Hey, I just want to talk to you." I see where this is going. Who else doesn't like Darby the elite? I'm like, "Wait a second. What's going on here?" What's going on? What's up with Mox? Yeah. But I like the Mox stuff so far. Me too. I'm intrigued. I'm here to see where it's going. And I think that they had some extra stuff on collision last night too. Mox and Marina attacked the outrunners. Mox ate them with like a fucking tired iron that she was hilarious. Man, shout out to the outwriters. They have been a very fun act on collision. People love them. What's this merch thing? They're like the top sellers in merch right now. I'm like, "Yo, the outrunners are doing their thing." Yeah, shout out to them. They're doing their thing. But yeah, let's get into this card. See. I don't see any zero hour matches yet. Okay. I see one on here, but on the full card. But I don't see... I just see the one. What's the one? There's a three way trios match. Yeah. That's the one I'm thinking of. Okay. Is that the only zero hour match? Yeah. I think so. Okay. Yeah. Then let's get into it. See. We got the undisputed kingdom. Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett taking on the Beast Mortos and Shane Taylor promotion. I don't know why they made that change. They talked about it on the show. I'm like, "Oh, Beast Mortos is going to be with Shane Taylor promotions and undisputed kingdoms." I thought you were down with us. And Shane Taylor's like, "Oh, we paid him." So they... We paid him. Great. He'll go anywhere with the caches. We paid him. Great reasoning. Yeah. Beast Mortos will be teaming up with Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty to also take on action and Dreddy and top flight. Yeah. It should be a fun match. Should be all the flippy guys doing flippy stuff. You need one of those. This could have been where they could have added hologram in. But I see why they did it. You need some excitement to get that Chicago crowd or a Chicago adjacent crowd. I don't want my friend to get upset. Hype tonight. Yeah. Alan Hoffman. But yeah, listen, man. I've seen a lot of stuff. I've seen people talking. I've seen people breaking up. Look, the numbers are going down every year. Why are they still coming to Chicago? They should stop coming to Chicago. They're not going to stop coming here. No. Stop hating. It looks like the numbers they're going to sell out the show tonight. They might, even if they don't sell out the show. Let me have this. And Chicago, like I make fun of my friend all the time in clowns, Chicago is such a fucking wrestling town. They've never stopped going to Chicago. Come on. And I get some of it is that it's not in the city. So some people that would have pulled up this weekend, I think they would have got four ticket sales in the city. So I think some people just don't want to make the commute toffman. And I understand that. But no, it's Chicago wrestling, because like if I could get a place in like downtown and go to the show, that's way better than like having the commute out of Chicago. Yeah. I mean, just stay out there by the arena. That's always the advice I give, right? But yeah, in the city of Chicago, sir, outside the city of Chicago, Hoffman Estates, AWL out will be coming to now arena. We've got a fire card, none of that filler stuff. All of the Hoopers tonight. Super excited for this show. Like I said, zero hour, we're going to get the three way trios match. We're also going to get Will Osprey taking on big Jordy Latt pack. Very, very excited for this match. Again, match I've been trying to get on this on this show for the longest and we're getting it and we're getting it in the mecca professional wrestling, Chicago, Illinois. Again, I'm tired of y'all, but again, Chicago is wrestling. And I could imagine the atmosphere, these two, two of the best wrestlers in the world, Osprey has been on a crazy run pack for some reason, still has something to prove in the day that these fans, this is going to be fucking amazing. Big pack fans. So I'm very excited for this. I'm very glad that he's on this cart. And I think we might get the better Osprey match out of the last two weeks. I believe that again, it's like I said, Pac still has something to prove, but like if Pac wants to, he's the best wrestler in this company and I'm including Osprey and Brian Danson and Kenny Omega like that, he's that good. Yes. I do think that Osprey is going to retain here, but this match is going to be fire. Yes. Got the Young Bucks taking on Blackpool Combat Club, Claudio, and Willy Uda. One of the other things before I get into this that I hate that we didn't get because Mox went away to Japan and got the world title reign is that Mox and Claudio was a fun tag team and they had that fun match against FTR and then they had a tag team tournament and they weren't on in it and like if I would have if we were doing a Blackpool Combat Club match tonight versus the Young Bucks, I would prefer it for it to be Claudio and Mox. But I understand why we're doing this for story reasons, but I think it kind of sucks that we didn't get any kind of run with those two as a tag team. Claudio again, he's such a dynamic tag wrestler too, that you just know that it would have hit. Crazy tonight, like top notch Young Bucks against Cottack Claudio and Uda's fucking been getting better and better every week. So I think this is going to be really good. But Bucks are retaining of course. Bucks will retain here. I don't see them putting two sets of belts on Blackpool Combat Club. That would be a mistake. Stop doing that. That would be a mistake. We've got Willow Nightingale taking along Chris Detlander and a Chicago Street fight. This is right up there, Ali, because most of their time together they've been doing the big plunder matches, so this fits their relationship in a lot of ways. This feels like a fitting way to do their one-on-one match. I do kind of think Statlander is going to win though. Me too. I think with the added stipulation, and it's for some reason not for that CMLO Women's Championship anymore, I think Stat. And the previous matches too, it feels like all of this is leading to Stat getting the big win. This is where sometimes the women, I'm saying sometimes now because they've had so many great not-plunders matches recently, but when the women get into these plunder matches, you know it's time to shine. Yeah. I think this is going to be one of the highlights of the night. I'm surprised we didn't get three women's matches on this card. Me too. It's what it is. I'm assuming it's leading to something because it's not on the card, of course. But Mariah has a championship celebration set up for this card as well so she will be in the arena. I have to assume that's leading to somebody coming out and doing something to interfere. Right? I don't think she's just going to come out there and celebrate and then walk away. Yeah. Super interesting that she doesn't have a match though. Yeah. I think it's fine that she doesn't have a match, but if you're going to get the celebration, I think it has to build to the match. Now, you sure, I'm sure some people would go, "Okay, this is where you bring in. You bring Tony back in and you do another match." But based on everything else they've been building, the next pay-per-view is Russell Dream, which is co-branded with New Japan, is it not? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that Mina Shira Kawa is going to come out and try to celebrate with her and she's going to turn on Mina. That's it. I forgot about Mina. Yeah. Mina and her Russell Dream fire-ass match too. Yeah. That's where I think this is going. I could be wrong. Maybe it's going to be Tony. I see some people that are like, "Vekki, Vekki's not coming here, guys." Vekki's not coming, you guys. Please stop. I don't know. I feel like there's going to be something, though. I don't think it's going to be just as simple as her coming out and celebrating. Not for a show like this. Yeah. Maybe who else could I see? Because maybe you have a big return in mind for this? Who's out? Well, I don't think that we're going to see Sky Blue anytime soon. She would make sense, of course, for the in front of Chicago crowd. But I don't think we're going to see her anytime soon. Jamie is in this array of stuff. Maybe that's where they bring in Meghan Baine? Yeah. Chicago would know who she is. Yeah. She's been killing it. She's been doing Dandy matches. Who else? We've got the news that Ticonty is clear. Maybe Ty. Okay. Here's some options. Here's a few options. I do kind of think we're going to get that Meghan match at some point. Because it's like, do you want to, it depends on what kind of pop you're going to get. Because Meghan is going to get a pop, but not like a huge pop, you know? Yeah. I'm seeing people in the chat say, Anajay, Anajay does make sense from stardom, the link to stardom in her coming back and interrupting her. That makes sense as well. Okay. Yeah. Mm-hm. But yeah. Mm-hm. Curious to see where that goes. Yeah. Boy, I did not think this was, this was the cherry on top of everything because I was sitting there and like, oh, we're, we're getting, we're getting this great main event. We're getting packed versus Osprey. We're getting the fire Mercedes match. We're also getting Kasushka Ocada in a fatal four away for the AW Continental Championship. Um, pretty good card guys, who else is in this, who else is in this match? Pretty good card. He will be defending his title against Mark Brisco, Orange Cassidy and Knowsgate to catch this. So there are five people. Oh my God. Defending them. Sorry. All right. Five. Uh, but yeah, um, this is, uh, this looks great. I was kind of hoping that, um, they did some shenanigans in the match and BK ended up in this match. Well, that's cool. If my song would have been playing it all out, I'd have been crying. But yeah, Ocada, Ocada versus these guys, I mean, the big, the big plus of this is, this is going to get us closer to Ocada versus Tkesta, I can't, can't wait to see their exchanges in this match. Um, of course, they had a little bit of something on Dynamite that led to this. So yeah, I think that Ocada is going to retain here, but I do think eventually we're probably going to get the one on one match with Tkesta. I saw people being up in arms about Ocada's bit this week that he did with Kyle Fletcher, the Aussie Aussie with the forearms, which I thought was hilarious. Yeah. That was funny. I'm like, why are people mad at this? This is hilarious. I thought it was funny. Ocada has been doing awesome. I don't like people are still trying to make discourse. I'm like, maybe some of the backstage shenanigans in the connected to the lead isn't the best, but the matches have been hard. No, I think they just got to get back to what was working before anarchy and arena because it was hitting when he was wrestling and they were doing that stuff. Right. When you're just doing that stuff, it's not as good. I need the matches too. Exactly. But yeah, this match is going to hit, got four guys in it that are Hoopers, like I said, so. Ocada's keeping this? I do think Ocada is going to retain. Yeah. I don't know if the continental championship is Tkashita's destiny. Might be. Maybe the international championship I can think of. Maybe. I don't know. I think either about where he can travel with and do Japan shows and defend it. You know, I think that makes a lot of sense for him, but yeah, Mercedes money will be taking on a car Rashida for the AWTBS championship. Very much excited for this one as well. I definitely think we're going to get the better Mercedes match. Very funny that in the build to the Brit match and after that promo, she couldn't. She said she was a standard. I was like, ah, that's a little cap though, because the ace is the standard. She was there. She's the gold standard. She built this division. And so getting to this point and I'm going to actually get the match that I wanted here. Things work out for me. So my excitement level going into all in concerning Mercedes Monet was not that high. This time, I'm so excited. This is one of my most anticipated matches of the night, just because of course she does so great. And but after I saw after the clips that I've seen from Mercedes in capital collision and how much fun she was having in there, I'm like, oh, she's about to fuck it. What she did. I'm just so excited about this match. Yeah. With this with the eight match card, I think they're going to give them time. I think it's going to be really good. Yes. We've got MJF taking on Daniel Garcia. I don't know which way I'm going with this, because I do think the match is going to be very good. I'm very much looking forward to it, but I could go either way on this. I could see MJF winning this match and it's setting up a rematch. I could see Dan winning it and Max going away for a little bit. I could go either way. I'm leaning towards Daniel Garcia winning. There's a lot of different options here, but I feel like Max is going to give them one. I think Daniel Garcia is going to win tonight. Just without the build-ups bin and the go home segment, I was like, it feels like it's set up for Daniel Garcia, but also it is Max and like sometimes him winning is how he moves forward stories. So I don't know. The thing that makes me second guess that is usually when he does that it's a TV match that he wins and then he moves the pay-per-view match. So I kind of feel like he's going to lose the match. Me too. Just it being pay-per-view and I just feel like he wants to put Danny over. So yeah, I'm going with Dan Garcia. Yeah, me too. But very excited for this match. I think this feud has been incredible. Me too. Great build-up. Yeah. Got Brian Danielson versus the scapegoat, Jack Perry. That's not why I think he's losing, but I do think he's got that place role, though. I do think this match is going to be very good. There's a spider-like ring. Oh, my God, I see it. I see it. I saw it go across the screen. It's like coming down from the ceiling. That's crazy. Dan, we're going to see Filton right into Peter Parker here on the show. Let's go. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. He's trying to escape now. I'm trying not to kill it. Get out of here. Yo, spiders are scary. I wake up. Sometimes I look around my place and I'll be like, "How are their spider webs up there, God?" Where'd you come from? Yeah. But yeah, I think this is going to be a good match. Like my displeasure with this choice, I think this match is going to be very good because Jack is a good wrestler and I think he knows how to get a crowd invested in him. I've seen him do it several times. I've seen him do it in Chicago that Doki matches one of those matches I think about all the time where he got that crowd invested. He got that crowd chanting Doki. I think this is going to be the same thing. I think he's going to do well here. Are you guys going to boo this guy? Why are you guys going to yell about Phil at him? Why would I boo Jack? What about your community? Are they still upset about this video? It's going to be mixed. I think some people are going to cheer for him. I've seen some people that are already from collision that had the signs and I saw signs already that are like Jack did nothing wrong. So it's going to be mixed. I think some people are going to cheer for him and some people are going to of course chant CM Punk at him which I wish people wouldn't do but I know it's going to happen. That's what I'm saying like is it going to but it's happened already so it's definitely going to. Yes. I mean he's definitely going to do something to encourage people to do it as well. I'm foreseeing it. He's probably going to come out and mock the crowd and he's going to get people to do it. I have no interest in doing that but I think this match is going to be fun. It's Brian Danielson, the world champion. It's Brian. Brian is of course going to come out and do what Brian does best. And Brian in Chicago was a winning recipe too so yes and of course our main event will be an unsanctioned White South Steel case match, Swerve Strickland taking on Hangman Adam Page. White South Negro, I thought you were doing a fab record. Nah. I was going to light out nigga, what's my motherfucking name? What a record man. That summer that played constantly. God. Yeah. Loud. But now the fab record I'm thinking of samples that. Oh. Samples that. Cold line. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. But yeah, this should be a good match. Very excited for this main event. I have to assume that Hangman is winning here because I think the story you tell is that Hangman finally beats him in a match that doesn't count. Yep. I was about to say nobody do an Adam Copeland tribute but I don't think anybody this few doesn't call for anybody to be getting up on top of this cage like this is a blood few where these two guys are going to be locked in the ring. In the middle of the ring for most of this trying to tear each other apart. Like someone was saying this probably is going to be one of the bloodiest matches in A.W. History like for sure. Like you already know going into this with what they've done with what they've built. And yeah, I think Hangman is going to win for that reason that it's not a real victory and it's going to add on to the story. This match is going to blow people away though like thinking of what they did in the full gear match and having to top that what the fuck are they going to do? How are they going to top that Texas death match? I have no idea. This is going to be one of the most violent matches we've ever seen. But yeah, I do believe that Hangman will win this match and he's going to walk away winning a match that doesn't count and Swerve will be able to hold that as bragging rights and that is going to be the thing that inevitably leads us to Hangman Swerve part five because I don't think that this is done tonight. I do think we're going to go back to this match eventually. I do think that both of these men will be AEW champion eventually. Yep. There's no way like Hangman definitely will be champion again someday. I don't think it'll be this year, but eventually he will. I believe the same thing was Swerve. And I think if either of those guys hold that belt again, there will be a match. I think the exactly what we're seeing today and how these guys are main eventing without the world championship. They're both going to get back to it, but I don't think there's a rush like these guys, you could use these guys without the championship and still have huge stories and big matches, you know? Yes. But yeah, that is our AEW all out card. Very excited for tonight. Fills on his way. That's son of a gun. Listen, let me have good things. Let me have good things. We didn't get a WWE pay-per-view this year. You guys tried to make fun of me when I was like, wow, we're getting Julian versus Roxanne in Chicago. You want to get that? I mean, you guys tried to make fun of me, so let me have this man. Now, they did it for you, man. This is a hell of a car. There's going to be some fucking absolute incredible matches on this. Hate that you have to make that dumb commute, but it's going to be worth it. Yes, amen. I've been to some great shows in this city, and this seems like it's going to be an all time. Very excited about it. We've seen some amazing things happen in that city. I'm like, are there going to be surprises at work? We were trying to figure out surprises earlier. I'm like, I don't know who they could be like, so if there are surprises, they're really going to surprise me. Yeah. It's happening tonight in a couple hours. You know, it'd be very funny and kind of a wild one. This is completely nonsensical, but I just played it in my mind, and it sounds very funny, and I would cry laughing at it. Mariah should come out and do her whole celebration, and then the lights cut out, and it does the whole thing from last year from, well, not last year, from 2021 with the music that Max had, and it has like the voicemail because the voicemail is like, listen, things didn't end well. You know, we didn't get to tell our story last time these things happened, and we just want you to come back. We just welcome you back. And then the Max music hits and everything, and everybody thinks it's going to be like this big heel or something, and then like the big smile pops on a TV, and Kylie Rae comes up. That would be hilarious. That would be fucking hilarious. Wow. Phil went somewhere. That's definitely not going to happen, but no, but it would be the funniest thing to ever happen. It would be really good, though, with cry laughing. Kylie Rae smile with like the Pokemon theme and everything, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, well, speaking of surprise, I don't know, like this fool's been tweeting. He said it out loud that he's in Hoffman States at the checkmark, the big homey powerhouse hibes. I don't know. He's looking giant. I don't know what fuck he's doing, but he said I'm like, can you say that? Can you do that? But yeah, I saw that picture of him from a few days ago. He looks like a fucking giant. It's scared. The picture scared me. Yeah, he's been in the lab. I texted him. Stay out the gym. Nah, man. He got something to prove. I'll pray with his name. Playing with his name out here, man. Listen, you want to talk about hungry? You want to talk about ready to fucking rip a wall apart? Brother, I didn't. Why would trigger? I did not think about that, but the idea of that voicemail playing when a certain person isn't. That's crazy. A certain person's out of the car. No, that's crazy. That's insane. Stop. Don't do that. Stop. Stop. Do not. Stop it, man. Because then you be trying to say, well, where are you bringing us up? Listen, leave me alone. We shouldn't even have gotten here, guys. We shouldn't even have gotten. This is why you can't tell jokes and you can't, you know, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. But also, listen, man, if there's a Chris Jericho match on this car, this is your fault, Phil. You said it on the show. I want to be the very best, like no one ever was. Get that fucking mind, dude. So good. And like I said, I saw her at the Queen of Andy. She's so fucking good. Yeah. She's still very good. Good wrestling. Shout out to Kylie, right? Yeah. All right, let's get into some few super chats before we get into some WWE stuff and Phil gets up out of here. Van Twin Blade says, Dan, the Dan is aliens versus Yokai with a bunch of teens caught in the middle with a dash of romance, animation by science, Saru, and did Scott Pilgrim's take off. Take some. Okay. Yes, I haven't seen this guy, Pilgrim, anime, I keep saying I'm going to watch it, but I haven't watched it. Dan, the Dan. Appreciate you. Van Twin Blade. Um, oh, why Mox and Marina do the outrunners that was, they was going to Disney World. Should have, should have been celebrating like that somewhere else, man. Listen, watch your back and protect your neck. Wu Tang told you, Doug, you got to be watching your back. Mox is in Marina here. Uh, Van Twin Blade also says, finally, do we get a knife fight in the cage tonight or does someone pull out a jammy might, uh, I don't know, man, you got to be careful. Do you think that they will have weapons involved since kind of that was the, the story of the Texas death match? Cause you don't honestly need them. It's a cage match, right? I will see some kind of weapon. Yeah. Something. Uh, David Reed said based on a Debbie Brit may be gone bye bye soon. Where should I go? Is she, uh, would she be a big star in WWE? I don't know if I would say big star. I think she would be a big get for them just cause of the optic of them getting another AW, like getting another day one AW wrestler to jump over there. I think that'd be a big deal for them. That means something regardless, you know what I mean? Yeah. Uh, Hey, what's over there says, uh, with the next dynamite being in Ohio, do you guys think Sammy Callahan makes a cameo with Mox? I don't know. I know Sammy and Mox are close. I know that, uh, he's been saying for a long as he wants to work with them. So there was some talks previously about Sammy and AW. I don't know whatever happened to that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's quite a few people over there that like Sammy. So I wouldn't be surprised. Totally. Uh, blastier says sheet of versus money should open all out. Maybe? I don't know. That's the women's championship and you don't have the other title defended. I probably wouldn't do that. I mean, well, you got two women matches. So it could work. Yeah. I don't know. I guess so. Uh, our friend Shawna. Hey, Shawna. Cause as a Phyllis Wright, hangman has friends of mine who don't pay attention to wrestling asking who he is, just saying, I told you, I see the vibes, bro. Yeah. So you see like the random TikTok that doesn't have anything to do with wrestling and they're just thirsting over the person involved in it like, oh, yeah, who's this guy? It's like, I've seen a couple of those for hangman. And we know how deep those Roman ones are. Like the Roman ones are crazy. I've seen, I've seen some of these people that jump in a, um, leave Brittany alone, but straight up. Leave. Hang on. Straight up. Thanks. I appreciate you. Our homey ready Simmons, shot town and y'all outside just saying, what's up to the dopest dude spitting, uh, grabs, keep up the excellent work. My brothers. It's crazy that we're back. It's been a year again. I was just talking to homey shot, shout out to Tracy. That was a year ago that, uh, we got linked up with all the homies in Chicago. Um, sad. I'm not there again. Uh, that's my nut. Oh, that was funny. What happened? What happened? We were right there and I was like, nah, they acted like my man came in there with the blammer, bro. Straight up. Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. Why is it so funny? Y'all. Take a look at the blammer. So. Hey, what's over there? Very super generous. Super chat. Appreciate you. Cody was right about hangman when he said all those years ago in new Japan that page is going to be the future star with the way a W has built sort of in hangman's rivalry. He gives me parallels of Wolverine and Sabretooth. Mm. Cuz he cookin. I don't know too much about that. Uh, Brigav says, happy grabs today, can't wait for all out. The hangman's sort of still cage match is going to be crazy. Congrats to Reg on the BK theme. Very dope and deserve. Appreciate you. Brigav. I love it. And then Bianca last is pay-per-view weekend and I got married yesterday in the Chicago courthouse, build the city as wild can't wait for tonight's show and surprises. Hey, congratulations. That's awesome. Bianca, congrats on your nuptials. Hope you and your partner are having a great time out there. Great place to get married, especially when I was out there, uh, the city and the scenes and the lights and all that. It's a really good place to do something like that. You do the, uh, the wedding, like pictures that a lot of people do. I'm the concrete, the concrete, people are crazy, people really think that's the thing. Every time I see that picture, I laugh out loud now. I'm like, guys, we have beaches here, man, like with y'all. They try to slander every three months it comes out. This is what y'all be doing in Chicago. There are beaches here, guys. So funny. Where's the sand, Phil? Where's the sand? They're like super chats. That's all of them. Okay. Do do do do do. Okay. Humper chats. Uh, from Tony P, he says, uh, we're all with a mixed bag, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, huh, and noise, huh, and noise. Um, like what they're doing with the Alpha Academy and damage control. Um, he's, he's saying, what are they doing? What are they doing with them? Yeah. I don't know. But again, when I asked some questions and people didn't like the question, I asked, uh, oh, oh, this did all the good work for nothing. Uh, do they really need Oscar, uh, Oscar slash Kai or, for EO and Kyrie to have a story? Hell, now I'm worried the women, worried about the women's division when Rhea wins the belt back. Yeah. I don't know what they're doing over there in a row with the women. It's kind of, uh, it's kind of a mixed bag, but I don't know. Yeah. It felt like damage control was about to, like, be the ones and then it just fell off. Yeah. Well, they, they got hit with the injury bug again. Yeah. That was unfortunate. Um, but he says the noise were, uh, Ilya and Lee Balling, uh, Drake drew kicking punks ass, finally breaking that damn bracelet, uh, found his, uh, inner early straw man because he wasn't done with him. I, I was ready for him to flip the, the stretcher over like, right, Mike Strowman, he said that main event ending the show with a pleasant feeling of not feeding, not feeling like my time was wasted. Yeah. There were things I liked about Robert. I agree. There were things. I was like, okay, why are we doing this? Why are you doing that? Like the matches that were good were good. I thought the Drew punk segment was good. Um, I know people are going to go, what this, we're still doing this braces thing. I, I thought that it was good that he finally just broke it and then wrapped it up and then spent the rest of the time just actually beating him down. I very much liked the energy of how dare you, you cost me several world title shots this year and you think you beat me and you're just going to go and call out Gunther? No. No. It was very funny that he showed up behind him in a hood and a hoodie and I'm just like, this is very clearly Drew McIntyre and a hoodie, but okay. The new homie said it on commentary. Yeah. Which, the new commentary, I thought was good. What'd you think? All right. I like the, um, I kind of liked that, uh, it feels, it makes it feel like a different show. It adds like a different layer of element. I think when he like really gets into the groove, it'll be even better, but it kind of adds like that moral type element of like, it feels a little bit more exciting. I'm into it. Yeah. I think he's a good replacement for Cole and out of Cole's moving to Smackdown. Right. Cole shouldn't be the fucking number one in every show. He don't need to be on those shows. You can add somebody else. I don't know why they got rid of Tom Phillips. I like him. I fucking love Tom Phillips. When they let him go over to impact, I was like, he is all he can lead. He can lead your company's commentary for the next 20 years. I don't know what happened there. Yeah. I don't know. But he's doing a great job over there at, uh, T and A. I don't know why they let him go though. He's so good. See, we got more from Tony P. He says, uh, as of last night Smackdown is, as of last night Smackdown is meaningless. Uh, it's the bloodline show with Cody as his, as this season's main event. They stay very in theory. The main women's title picture is great, but then drops off, which is sad because of the talent. Um, yeah, I think they're doing funny enough. I think they're doing more interesting things over there with their world title picture with the women than they aren't raw because I think the stuff with Tiffany is good. Um, you just brought Bailey back last week and I thought the main event last, last week was great. Uh, Nia and me, me and match. Yep. Same here. I, yeah. Same. I think the Smackdown women's world title picture is way better, way more story intended. It feels like it's about the matches and everybody trying to win this championship instead of just two people fighting over the championship. That's always my favorite thing. It's a world title. No, there's going to be five, 10, 20 people going after you and you should show that. And that's what it feels like over here. It feels like every moment is something every moment can lead to a new champion or some kind of story being told. Yeah. I thought that the main event was good that annihilator to end the show on the trash can that looked nasty. I was like, Hey, yo, scary spot to take for me of being inside there. Like you don't know when the impact is coming crazy, but yeah, I'm glad that they're using me and more. Mm hmm. I thought that that was a great way to bring Bailey back as well and continue to build up anticipation for a cash in. Yeah. Sue me, I think what they're doing with the women on Smackdown is better. Yep. Nia has been great, honestly, since her return as champion. I like that. She's like, there's some comedy, but then she's extra serious. She looks amazing. Like she's great. Yeah. I thought, uh, and, you know, Andrade and Melo are cooking, man. Them guys are having great matches every week. Um, they finally, what is, is, are they leading to something? I'm like, they keep hooping, but for why last night they were filled to having another match and the winner of that match is going to challenge LA night for the US title. Okay. We're getting to something. Yeah. So I figured that's what it was to build up the, the secondary title. Who's winning here? I don't know. Man, I kind of, I kind of think it's going to be mellow. Mm hmm. Um, I kind of think mellow needs it more. He does. Um, but I think regardless of them, then I'm going to beat LA night. I think LA night is going to retain regardless. Right. But, uh, mellow needs a big win, a bigger win, I think than, uh, Andrade does at this exact moment, but I could also still see Andrade going over because Andrade and LA nights are pretty good match too. Yeah. But yeah, they've been cooking those matches that they hate. Yeah. Uh, Tony P continues. He said green and green and yum deserved more. I also say this about raw as well. They dropped a ball with other women's stories that don't involve men or titles. They also, they're, they also better hope those NXT women get better fast because the drop off in town and experience there is obvious. Um, yeah, I, I think, uh, Chelsea has been one of the best characters on Smackdown for a while. They're continuing to try and instigate things behind the scenes. It's very funny. Um, she just, she just gets it, man. She's just a great wrestling character. Yeah. She's one of those also kind of like how I was talking about hangman Paige earlier, like any moment that Chelsea gets, she's about to make the most of it. Like if she got three seconds on, she's about to make those three seconds. The most important three seconds of any show. She's such an important figure in that division and they just got to keep letting her cook because like she's doing it. Yeah. She's a man. She's a hustler man. If we've learned anything, all of those, uh, pictures that we learned about when she got let go and how much she was constantly pitching ideas constantly, like, I can do this so I can do that like, bro, she will do whatever it takes. I want it. Like, I want to see a, uh, what breakfast is like for her and Matt Cardona. Do they just have a white board where they're just like, here's my idea. Here's my, I'm like, they are that family be fucking hustling. Yeah. Sky respected, bro. Mm hmm. Shout out to them. Yeah. I respect it. Uh, we got some more hopper chats that we're going to get into, uh, last week's paper view and a big debut and we're going to get out of here. Yep. But before we do that, I am going to hit you guys with a word from our sponsors. Yes, sir. I think I am. Maybe I am. Somebody was asking about purchasing the song and Ruckus told me last night he's just waiting on our orchestra essentially and then it'll be on your streaming services pretty soon here in the next day or two, I think. Pretty cool. As it gets into some more of these humber chats, I'm not skipping any before I do that. Okay. More from Tony P says, "If all in was about happiness and celebrating, all layout is about hate." Man, perfect place to do it. From the shot, the city of hell, the haters. You are a big hater, Phil, so this makes sense. We are listening, man. I'm not a hater. They're specific people that I don't hate, so I won't. Even though all in is in, wait, wait, wait, sorry, even though all in is in their main, all out is their baby mania, usually where they make statements and ball hard just excited for tonight. Yeah, I agree. All out is kind of their mania at this point, just because the size of it, but for me, I think Double or Nothing is their big show just because it was the first one and there's so many things attached to it, but yeah, all out is basically their mania at this point. I like that they're making new shows now that we have to question, which is the big show like? Is it that? Is it a Wrestle Dream? Is it a Forbidden Door? That's cool for them. It's really between All Out, Double or Nothing, and maybe all in? No. Yeah. It's baby. It's those three. It's basically Double or Nothing, all in and all out. Yeah, totally. Which one is the big show? I probably would put All Out. It feels like they put more focus on All Out than they do Double or Nothing as someone who's been to like all of the Double or Nothing's essentially in Vegas. It feels like they make a more conscious effort with the All Out pay per view, but it still is a staple as someone who's been to all of them besides the floating ones. It's Chicago, man. If you're going to book for the sickos, this is a crowd full of sickos, man. I watched somebody gleefully post their video flipping off Tony from last year, but also tell us how excited they were to come to this show, man. Boo, we hate you. Can't wait to see you tonight, also. Can't wait to go to All Out next year. Wrestling fans. The best. More from Tony P says, "Something a lot of people aren't talking about tonight is what is happening with Mariah. I am curious what is going to happen with her segment. Also, how will Mike's plan to tonight? He's been talking about humbleness, humility in his recent moves." Yeah, we got into the Mariah stuff a little bit. I think that there's going to be some kind of surprise with that. That's where the surprises all happen. Yeah. Tony P also says, "Is he on a destroy and rebuild mission and wanted Darby to lead what he sees in his vision of what AEW should be, other than that, rest in peace to the GA4 and Kwan. Have a good Saturday. On sale. Have fun. I'm still Saudi. Have you stuck your pinky toe?" I said, "Yeah, you've got to go on that. Well deserved." Did he say, "I bet he's in the week." I mean, we know what it is. I think we've all just decided that it's hangman. I don't have to say it. We know who it is. Yeah. I think we've all pretty much acknowledged that it's hangman. Totally. Yeah. But that is all of our Humphrey Chats from Tony P. Appreciate you as always, Tony. I've got one from Black Phoenix, Brandi says, "Randomly popping in mid-show. I recently got around to watching Genius after Red said he was going to, and I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but the fall of Kanye is one of the saddest things I've ever watched and experienced. Could old Kanye ever return?" I don't think so. All signs point to no. Very good documentary though. Yeah. No, we're all, Phil and I are on the same page as you, Black Phoenix, Brandi. So sad. This was the case to the Kingdom where his, he was supposed to be number one. This is all his, so it's so sad to see. Yeah. Got one from CM Smiley, afternoon boys. Hope all is well. Happy all-out day. Destroying my closet, trying to find something to wear for tonight, hoping to see Phil tonight. Hi, Reggie. What's up, Tracey? I'm so sad. I'm not there with my friends. Eating Harold's chicken. It's just unfortunate. Have all of us had, like, to see him handle on something at some point from the city? It's kind of funny. Probably. That's what makes it so funny when people are like, "You still like punk?" It's like, "What? I think we're going to hate him." Dog's name is Chicago-made punk. Like how? Chick-magnant according to the, you know, deposition. I thought that for a long time. And then he was all, "No, you guys, why would that be my name?" Chick-magnant punk. So funny. Listen. I've seen how he'd take his pictures off. Man. No. It wasn't coming from nothing, punk. They were bringing it off something. We got another one from Black Phoenix Brand. He said, "I thought Swerve starting a few with Hanger was a step towards him ascending to the main event, but I had no idea it would have turned into this." So much for the AW needs to create stars narrative. Two of them are main offending tonight. Yeah. Absolutely. Yeah. And then our last bumper chat from the big homie from Australia, Wange said, "Good day. Graphsy Fellas. Shout out to Shingo and shout out to Sunday morning pay-per-views." Saturday night for us, but I appreciate you getting to watch it at a normal time. I'm going to be very exciting, so I appreciate you wanting to go longer for submitting that. Very excited about the show tonight. That's pretty much it. Yeah. But that is all of our bumper chats for now. Again, if you want to get those in, while we hit these last two topics, send those via humperchats.com/fightful. Yes, sir. Yeah. We had another pay-per-view last week. Very brief. Two of them? Did we count the second one as a pay-per-view? Yeah. Well, two. It's a WWE NXT weekend, but the main roster pay-per-view was very quick, concise five matches in and out. Afternoon pay-per-view. Couldn't beat it. Man, being able to get up and watch pay-per-view and then just going with the rest of your day, I was like, "No, that was all right." Not too bad. Not the worst thing that new wrestling, this current stage of wrestling has brought upon us after new pay-per-views and stuff. Yeah. Watch the full pay-per-view. And-- Did you? I did. You know how these people book matches, Phil. At one point, everybody has to stop and do a full monologue. I'm like, "You guys, what's happening here?" WWE Bash and Berlin emanated from the Uber Arena in Berlin. As you expect from these international shows, great crowd, as always. Yes. It's a good atmosphere for wrestling, and I think that that elevated most of the matches on this card. I think all of the title matches were good. And actually, there was no bad match on this card. I think it was a fun show all around. I think people, of course, are going to have their opinions on certain things, but I thought it was a fun show. The opener with Kevin Owens and Cody was very good. I thought that that was one of the best world title matches the company has done in a while. I continue to be excited about Cody doing his version of the Cody verse over there and going and doing his storylines and wrestling his friends and doing his bucket list matches. And this was great. It played into a lot of history with Cody and KO. I thought the segment from the go-home show was very good, the promo they cut, and that was fantastic, but playing into this will KO turn on him, will he turn on him? I can see people being exasperated by their dramatic use of storytelling, but I've just accepted that this is what WWE does. This is how they produce their matches. You know you're going to get, like, Red said, the pauses, the monologues. You know you're going to get it, but yeah, I thought this match was very good. The spots were great, Cody trying to do the super-Cody cutter and then stumbling because of his knee injury. And they kind of worked us into thinking he didn't have a knee injury because that was brought up in a SmackDown segment. But then KO came out and immediately started working his ribs. And so while he's working the rib injury, I'm like, okay, well maybe his knee wasn't hurt and then his knee buckled during that spot. But yeah, I thought one of the better spots in the match was him coming down off of that Cody cutter and grabbing his knee and Kevin Owens running up like he was going to chop block him and then immediately stop him like, I can't do this. And then they rode out of the ring and then he just immediately kicked him right in the knee very hard. Yeah, this match was really awesome. There was that point where he did the knee fake rounds like, all right, we're about to be having this in every match, but that's the WWE match. This whole feud felt like Cody would have like you brought up the Cody verse. This would have happened in AEW if Kevin Owens was in there, like he would have the same feud same match, same everything. So the fact that he's still telling those stories is so funny. Kevin Owens is Kevin Owens, you guys know how I feel about them. And it was on full display here, the way that he can play that in between tweener of I can do some dastardly things, but I'm not going to, I'm going to just work to be the Kevin Owens that you know and love. But that kind of being his ultimate demise in the match, I thought was great. The little tees at the end that Cody always does of like, I know what you guys thought this match was going to be, but it was actually this, he's such a great storyteller. And I thought that that was kind of the story of the match is like, maybe they put it on a little too heavy, but it was a lot of great storytelling in this match. Yeah, I think KO going to do the apron powerbomb that he's done to a bunch of people, including Sammy Zane. That was the thing that started the heel turn on Sammy Zane and he wouldn't do it to him. And I love, I love way being like, what are you doing? Just do the match. He's like, shut the hell up. Yeah. Cause he can hear him because he's right there. So good. Yeah. I thought that was great. But to continue to be Kevin Owens, character of like, he does everything that fans are looking at like, why would you do that? Why wouldn't you just, why, why wouldn't you say anything when you hear this guy talking trash behind you? He's like a few feet away from you. Exactly. Yeah. Kevin Owens was great in this Cody. Somebody was complaining on Asgracity about Cody being having to hit the super finishers at this point. Like it has to be three Cody cutters to end the matches now. But again, it's WWE so that that's how it goes. They got to play up to set up and, but I thought the final stretch of this match was very good. I thought him struggling to, to, to keep control of the match and ending up using his need to stop him from doing a frog splash, which hurt himself. And then he struggled to get him up into the Cody, to the crossroads and then he used that one, two, three to beat him. And then, of course, we got the stuff afterwards of Cody going to shake his hand and Kevin Owens looking to inject it because very much like hangman, they've been telling this layered story with Kevin Owens since he was universal champion of. He doesn't feel like he deserved that moment because he didn't win. Triple H literally just came down and gave it to him. And so he never felt like he earned that moment. So he didn't want just a handout from Cody, but at the same time, he hasn't figured out how to win the world title yet without being the person he was in NXT. >> Totally. >> And so I think this, that's a good story and man, I really want him to win a world title someday. I just don't think it'll be on SmackDown. I don't see him winning that though. >> When they said it's been eight years, I'm like, talk, Kevin Owens hasn't been world champion in eight years, this is insane. And I think for his story and what happens, he can still get there, and there's a lot of room to still kind of maneuver. Okay, so Phil, I'm confused after I didn't watch the full SmackDown, I need you to answer this for me. Cody Rhodes had a great match with Kevin Owens. Why is he on SmackDown calling out fucking Solo SoCoa? >> Okay, so before this SmackDown, last week's SmackDown, Solo SoCoa said, whoever wins the match of KO and Cody, I'm gonna take on the winner. So he's already caught that match for himself. >> Okay. >> Cody already knows that. >> Gotcha. >> So in this match, you had all this stuff with him and KO, and again, a big part of this stuff with him and KO and his feud is, hey man, I've allowed you to take on some beatings from me, and you've been fighting this group longer than anybody else. So here, I want you to have this title shot, you deserve it more than anybody else. >> Yeah, I thought the way they played it up the way afterwards he looked ejected, and he raised Cody's hand to say that he accepted, and Cody tried to raise his hand, and then he immediately took it down. He would not accept that. I thought that that was cool, but the solo stuff, boy, I do not want this match. I do not want this match, but I love that it seems like they're doing it on SmackDown. They're building it up to be the premier episode title match, which they usually do that. They usually put a title match on a premier episode of SmackDown. >> Does it feel like this came fast to you? I'm like, this is happening already? >> This is the last Fox SmackDown, I was like, what? >> End of an error, yeah, but yeah, we're back in solo stuff. You didn't watch any of his SmackDown last night? I thought Cody did something very smart, and I laughed very hard at it. The bloodline comes out and he says, you're right. You do deserve a title shot because you have been doing all these things to put the bloodline back on track, I'm paraphrasing, and you did all of this to get back here, so you do deserve a title shot, Jacob. And Jacob got in the ring, he looked like he was going to shake Cody's hand and the whole time solo sitting there staring at him, and he had to stop and step back and go, I love you solo, I love you. And then he got out of the ring and let's solo continue to ask for his title shot. Really, really good. >> So everybody's aware, that's what you're saying. >> It seems like we're eventually getting to some Jacob stuff, and I love what they're doing with it. I hope that the solo match is not a pay-per-view match, and they just knock it out on TV. >> I didn't, they already announced it for the cage match. >> Yes, so hopefully they just knock this out here, and we're done with the solo match. Maybe Cody Roman or Cody Orton at the pay-per-view, because I don't want that match to pay. Please no. >> The first one was not that great. >> No, it was not, but yeah, I thought that this was a good way to tie up the loose ends with that on SmackDown, but again, it still smells, feels like Bloodline show, Rents and Repeat. >> Exactly. >> We got the women's tag titles, next, Bianca Belair and Jay Cargill took on Unholy Union. This was fun, a quick 12-minute match. I think the more that Bianca and Jay to work together as a tag team, the better they look as a tag team, they have their dynamic down-pat, where it feels like Bianca will come in and do most of the wrestling get in match, and she'll become the baby face in peril early on, they'll cut off the ring and keep them on their side of the ring, and then that builds anticipation for the Jade Hot Tag, and then the Jade Hot Tag is tremendous. They've done it the last two times they've had matches, and she comes in like House of Fire, does all the big moves, it looks great. They have the dynamic down-pat. >> Yeah, I think that the Jade Hot Tag is so great in these moments, and it shows how dynamic of a personality she is every time she hits it. This match was really fun, all the women were, the story that they were telling of kind of cut the ring off of Bianca, because you don't want to get to that hot tag. Really good story. Bianca in peril is one of the best baby faces on the roster, so to tell that story, I think it's so good. These women's tag team championships have some kind of crazy things surrounding them, but when they're given time like this, the matches are always so fun. >> Yeah, this was a very fun match. I just want them to build rivalries around this belt and do something interesting with them. At least it feels like this is the most interesting thing they've done with the Tag belts in a long time. They're a believable tag team, they're incredibly marketable, they're incredibly likable together. >> And it's still leading to a big match between the two, right? That's what we're doing. >> Yeah, I have to assume they're going to split up at some point, but you still got mileage with this tag team. Then you got the strap match. We got CM Punk versus Drew McIntyre. Of course, like most things involving CM Punk is going to be very divisive. I just was hoping that it would be better than a SummerSlam match. Now given that's a low bar because I did not like the SummerSlam match, but I just was hoping that this fit this feud better than the SummerSlam match. In that vein, it delivered. I thought that the actual strap match itself was good. I thought the action between the two guys was great. I thought it felt intense like this feud should feel. The Four Corners thing, it's silly. It didn't bother me like I saw it bother at some people, but that's just because I came in the door knowing that it was there. It's like, all right, they put the lights up there also, but I like the match itself. I like the storytelling in the match. I like certain little bits like Drew beating down on Punk and then going and starting to tap all the Corners and while he's doing it, Punk is on his shoulders tapping each corner until they get to the last one and so they're both trying to hit it at the same time. I thought that was, I could tell by your face that you were like, I don't like that. That's the part that I did. I'm like the match. It felt like the intensity and the heat needed for the SummerSlam match was in this match. When they're whipping each other, just kind of rolling beating each other up, but when they got to that, they do the double reach for the, I'm like, oh, this is a WWE match so much, but like I'm like, the intensity is here, everything is here, but they got these old global guts lights on here that you got to know who touched the fucking pad first. And I'm like, all right. And then, Michael Cole's yelling the every two minutes, you got to do it like he's like, when you got to explain the rules, every two minutes, it's like, all right, I get it. But I thought that everything they needed to accomplish, they did accomplish. Like I said, they had the intensity here, there's some gross points of Drupal and the bracelet out of his tights and punk kissing them like, all right, it's like going on here, but I thought what they needed to execute in the first match, they did execute this match. Yeah. I thought this was a vastly superior match to the SummerSlam match. I was in talking an old school match. That's always so funny. The talking. Like, hey, see, a punk is great, like, yeah, he's an old school wrestler. That's just the bread and butter. Yeah. But I thought that this was good. I thought that, uh, I thought this was the right way to move this view forward. I pretty much assumed punk was going to win and that was going to be the thing to move forward. Um, buddy, again, I'm a fan because like, I figured he was going to win, but everything about it, him winning, and this is why I say again, that crowd really made this match better than what it really was because that crowd was invested, uh, the dueling chance throughout the, the Drew and CM Punk chance it hit. And so when he won and he was getting the CM Punk chance and he was walking around to barricade, he stood up with his arm and said, I was like, no, this is fire. You're all in, uh, I was like, no, this is dope. No, it, it, let's like I said, if he's in his element to blood feud, he strapped to somebody like, of course he's going to cook dog. This is, this is his thing right here. Yeah. He, look, he's a, I understand how they're using them. It's wild to see them go to this point with him where they're using him as the big, um, the big, the big attraction matches, like almost like breaking Brock in for something and they've, they've got punk in the same spot. So him coming out doing the big entrance and him getting reactions like it all hit. And I think that's probably the best use of him at the moment. Like he's not a, we're not going to see him on weekly basis on Raw and share. We're not going to see him doing that. This is guys, uh, we have a big show put CM Punk on it, which is why I also think what I thought I told you when I asked Graph City, the way they're using him, very similar to the way they use Brock, I kind of have a feeling where this is going, um, new champ, baby. Um, but yeah, I, I thought this was a good match. Um, I thought the, I thought the mixed tag match was good as well. I thought, again, that crowd was super into this, this crowd was super, um, uh, what's the, I was going to say carnage, Clint, twins, what's their, the terror twins, uh, yeah, they are very much into Ria and, uh, and Damien as a team, they were very much behind them. Dom still gets very good heat, uh, and they worked to get match. I think live, I thought her exchanges with, uh, Ria was some of the best stuff I've seen live due in a long time. Um, that move that she did that people were like, oh, this is, uh, sake Akai's move. And then other people were like, oh, I've never seen this move ever before. I was like, I'm pretty sure Selena does that move too. Selena does do that move too. That's right. I've seen it before. Yeah. I'm like, yeah, I thought this was, I thought this was a very fun match. Um, it was essentially like, uh, you know, a big spectacle raw match on this pay per view. But I thought it fit with the rest of these matches because these two are so over and that crowd was so hot to see them exactly the heat of the crowd and the story totally drove this match. Like it was a big raw man event, but I think for how the crowd reacted and what came out of it, it was needed. Yeah. Um, yeah. And it was a good placeholder, like right in between the strap match and the main event. Also, you need that popcorn match. Yeah. But it was fun. Uh, the main event, um, go figure big going in this element, I'm, I'm not the biggest Orton fan. So coming into this match, I was just like, all right, are we going to get like a gunter match? Or are we going to get like the rest hole, like, are we going to get an Orton match or an Orton match? Um, we kind of got in between and I thought what we actually got was very, very good. I thought this match was really good. Um, starting out with Gunther coming out and I thought Susie came out the way they put him on all the promotional material. They basically made this, the show just to showcase him in Europe. I thought he's going to get this big reaction and he kind of did, but, but that crowd when Luke went came out there, buddy, you would have thought Cina came back, bro. That crowd popped huge with kind of it all the way up. They're like, Oh, our guys here. I'm like, Oh, they're guys here. Yeah. Which he got a big pop on, um, Smackdown as well. We answered the open challenge against LA night, which he's, he's from Germany. He's a, he's a home country guy. So I figured, but man, that pop for him two nights in a row was crazy. Yeah. Shout out to the homie. He's definitely earned his position. Yeah. I was nervous going into this match. You guys know, grabs the aren't the hugest fans of Randy Orton. So I'm like, what could this match be? Is Randy going to, like you're talking about earlier with Gabe kid? I'm like, sometime Randy forces people into his match and that's not what you want. Yeah. It was, it was really a mix of both. It had like this low and plotting dynamic that you get at a Randy match, but it also had enough to keep you invested, like the big table spot on the outside had like the, the story stuff that WWE would do. Um, like they hammed it up and did the whole, well, he put him through a table and he had to make sure he did his polls instead of just putting them in a ring and winning the match. And that's really what cost him to match. Um, but yeah, I, I really enjoyed this. Some of those, some of the stuff, I mean, Randy doing limb work and doing holds. And it ain't really for me, but I thought it worked here because we know how dangerous Gunther is. Exactly. You, he was doing all this stuff to keep Gunther at bay. Once he figured out that his shoulder was hurt from hitting the, hitting the steel steps, he started targeting that to keep him at bay, but even with that, he still wasn't enough. The way he hit him in the back of his neck towards the end of that match, I was like, dog. Not how you do your little bro bro. And that's really why I love about the match to the ending stretch of man, he was trying his best to hit him with another RKO. He kept trying to do it, kept trying to do it. And when he tried to reach for him that last time and he pushed him away and hit him with that chop. Ouch. That chop looked like, Oh my God, um, it looked like he hit him in the back, in the back with a wet towel. Honestly. But yeah, Gunther did, you know, add some Gunther elements to it. He did, you know, give Randy a couple of beats and it kind of got me more interested and excited about the potential Gunther and seen a match that I'm sure is going to happen here. Yeah. Yeah. No, actually Gunther was not the hometown hometown guy. Berlin is like his adopted hometown, but he's Austrian. He's not from German. Yeah. But no, just man, that last stretch of him, shopping came in the back and then putting a sleeper hold on and then sensing it in and he kept trying to get out of it, then he kept hitting them with the hammering and bills and working it back in. He was not letting Randy get away. Very definitive win, which I wasn't surprised by because I felt like you had to give him the definitive win, but this was, uh, I thought this was very good. I was surprised how much I liked this only reason I was a little bit shocked about the more, how definitive is it was is like, I thought, I think they're leading to Randy getting another title shot against Cody and I thought they would make him look a little bit stronger than that, but it's Gunther's thing. So it doesn't really take away, you know, um, well, I thought it all made sense. He needed the definitive win and he did shake Gunther's hand, but he was sitting there looking dejected after he won. He was looking around and I was like, Oh yeah, I know that look that it's opposite of Kevin Owens. He's like, no, I need to go to that side in order to be your, he is going to turn heel. It's coming. It's, it's, it's inevitable. opposite of Kevin Owens. I get it. I got it. That makes sense. But yeah, then they let, uh, Gunther close tonight and have a promo in German to close tonight. They also let us know that just with the highest grossing arena show and history of the company, I feel like they fucking say that every show now, feel like we get these big accolades with a bunch of this stuff. We're going to say it again show not super strong now. Yeah. It was a strong show. Um, but you know, it's five matches. Like it's been hard to mess up ply match. And they got to stop doing this, just give up two more matches you guys, seven matches are cool. Like I know that they bad for the crowds or the show, like you go overseas and you do this thing and then you only give them five matches. Like you're over there. Give them like eight. You know what I mean? That's the only thing I really care about. I guess they got smacked down a day before. And you know, at this point, the WWE fan base, especially international, they're eating up everything they give them. They don't care. Kind of gave them like fucking kickball game and they thought that show was hot. Yeah, you, but yeah, I, I agree that seven matches is kind of the right. But they've cut, they've tried to make seven a standard for their big shows, like Summer Slam and WrestleMania and a w needs to, one thing they need to do is conjunction with this business and ticketing thing. You can't, you're not WWE. Don't do two nights in a row at the same venue. That just doesn't work. Do one night and get all those fans. WWE can do that because those people eat fucking anything, but AEW fans are not going to do that. It's a bigger audience. It's just a bigger audience. You're just going to have more. Just do one night and get that one night of people. That's just how it is. Yeah. I agree. I think, you know, work around that, that show at that, at that arena, but you don't need to do two, three nights at that arena. No. Yeah, at least not at this point in not at that, not with it, like WWE can do whatever fuck they want, but your fans are like, I'm going to get, I'm going to go to one AEW show and I have to make it worth it. So you need to just make it worth it for everybody. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, good show. We have any more super chats for, you know, we have one more super chat from, Hey, what's over there? Last one, fellas, do you think once AEW gets on max, they should bring back the house rules events as exclusive max content, also run those events in smaller venues. AEW don't have money to add nothing else. I mean, I think if you're going to do them from like, if they keep their residency in Arlington, they do like little specials from there, that makes sense. But basically like live shows, like I wouldn't be, I don't think that would be a bad idea. I don't with attendance, if they're going to go like small, small venues and then make it like worth it worth it, then yeah, but like focus on dynamite and collision business, I think is the way to go. Yeah, I agree. But that's why I'm like, if they're just doing it where they already have the residency and it's a smaller crowd, right? Yeah. That makes sense. But if you're just trying to sell a completely different show at certain arenas, I wouldn't do that. Thank you to everybody for sending Super Chats today, y'all are dope. Yeah, appreciate you guys sending your Super Chats and your Hopper Chats. Yeah, we, as you alluded to, we had another pay-per-view in Denver. I think it is the height of comedy that they have been trying their best to get us to go to these shows. So bad. They've been like, nah, Bakersfield, we didn't get that one, Dre hit. You're not coming? Okay, Denver. What about that one guy? Oh, you work over there? Hey, Chicago. I know I can get you. I know I can get you. Chicago. Look at this main event. You're going to want to see this Chicago, Josie Rusler, Planner Flak, seeing punks here. That's what you mean. We got to get one of these guys. I'm going to get one of them, one of them three guys. I'm going to get one of them. Hey, no, if we're going to be a Chicago, load it on thick. We're going to get him. Yeah, we've got to be there, but yeah, NXT went to boy, ran it this weekend. No mercy. Listen, I want to like NXT. I try. I try to get into it, but there are bits of it that are just for me, man. I thought we were watching along at one point me when some other people and it was so funny. It's just man, it's just a bit subject. There's just not for me, man, and it's fine, but I thought the tag match to start the show was cool. Tag matches. He that's the best tag team wrestling in major wrestling is probably NXT right now. Yeah, you know, Axiom and Nathan are a good tag team and Matt Chase, Chase, you go figure they were a good tech tag team as well. I thought that that was a cool match. We got the turn at the end, which I wasn't too shocked by. I figured that's where they were going when they put the belts on them because I was like, why did they take the belts off of Axiom? They they wanted us to know that this turn was important because they played it like five times in the show. Like an hour later, they'd be like, Hey, you guys missed this. I'm like, they really want us to know how important this Ridge Holland moment was. Yeah. But yeah, I thought that that was a good way to start the show. The Wesley match was strong as well. I thought Wesley Zachary was a good match. I would not have guessed that Zachary was going to win this. Most surprising result for sure. I thought that the Denver crowd added a lot to this, the work for the next division style match was it was fun for where it was. Yeah. But yeah, I think that it was a fun match overall. Some of the way it was worked was kind of, it was kind of wonky, but it was fun. I wasn't messaging of what they were doing. Yeah, I definitely think there will be a rematch based on what they're doing. There's no way I think that Wes is just going to sit by and let those guys win the tag titles. They're also doing that tag match in Chicago, I think. See, they're trying to get you. Fraxium versus the Rascals, I think it's on that card. Yeah. How much do I want to get into some of this stuff in between because I like Kalani Jordan. Jordan, that match wasn't really for me. It was cool. Hey, as far as being a flipper, I think she's awesome. She does a lot of great. Yeah, that match. And the same thing. I like Obafemi a lot. I think he's fantastic. That match really wasn't for me. At one point, it looks like Tony got hurt and the rest stopped the match, but then they immediately, like it's something happened and then Tony, Oba's supposed to be like leading the match and he's only had 50 or whatever, like it's a lot was going on in that match. And I see how they're trying to showcase him, but yeah, but I like Oba a lot. Him coming down and ripping the Velcro off the belt was crazy. Oh man, he's fantastic. I can't wait till he moves up to the world title picture because he's, he's awesome. I'm not trying to see no Tony D'Angelo, yeah, I'm good. But what I thought was match of the night was Roxanne versus Jada Parker, I'm going into this. Roxanne has had a great run this year of matches. I'm not surprised that she came and she performed well, but man, this was really a star making moment for Jada. I thought she was fantastic, the confidence that Jada had coming into this match and the confidence that she had throughout this match were fucking amazing. I was like, oh, she's really ready for this moment, but Roxanne, I've said it on this show a million times when they first made her into a heel, I was like, I don't know what you guys are doing. This is the biggest baby face in the world right here. I was wrong, brother, cause the way that she's been working as a heel champion has been amazing. The way she was working in this match, the confidence that she has dog of like knowing that she's one of the best wrestlers out here and every time she gets to showcase this, she's going to make you know even more, you know, Roxanne is on another level right now. Yeah, she's ready. Just watching her in that match, I was like, she's ready to come up, man. Ready as fuck. Get her in the big pews, get her, get the Bailey feud that we know is coming, get, get to the big matches, man. But yeah, and I thought that this was a testament to just how good she is because Jada, you could see she's still rough around the edges, but man, they worked a good match. Roxanne made it look like she belonged there, you know what I mean? Yeah. And you know, that's not to take anything away from Jada, cause I thought that she looked confident, the promo she cut while she was walking out. Great. She just, she just got it, man. She's got the confidence. She's got the look. But yeah, this match was much better than I thought it was going to be easily to match it at night. Definitely with the circumstances and Jada's young in the game, fucking Roxanne's young in the game too, but she's a vet at this point, like for them to have that pressure and expectations and to knock it out of the park, I think is great for both of those women. Yeah. Yeah. It could be both that Roxanne is shorter, but man, it just, Jada looked like so much bigger than her and it was a good as match. And you know, it worked well, I thought that they, they worked a very good match, man. And Jada's just like, that's how she looks and also Jada Parker, brother. Listen, Twitter tells me every week, there's not a week we get on Twitter and we don't see data that straps, brother, brother, brother, she's a, yeah. But yeah, big story coming after that, right match was the debut of Julia got the big entrance with the smoke. Also looks great coming down the ring, Deaf Rebel theme, but she looked great. She had, you know, she has what the kids call aura. That's there now between her Roxanne was, man, electric, that was fire, like, yeah, this is it. This is a big match. Feels like they got something here, which I knew, because I knew based on Julia from stardom, like I knew when she came over, she was going to do well. I knew, I'm pretty sure fans are going to love her. She's multilingual. She's good. The story was so funny because they're screaming, oh, this is a surprise. We can't believe this. Julie is. I'm like, Julie has been telling us with every post that she's coming to America. She's just posting a video with her grandpa being like, I'm going NXT. I'm like, she's told us. Hey, guys, see you later. Go on to us. See you later. Go on to us. I'm going to be there on Thursday. You guys don't know. See you guys later. Yeah, so once they did the whole bid on NXT with Jada talking to the wall and Roxanne doing the shock face, I was like, okay, yeah, Julie's coming. Yeah. But yeah, this was a big moment. I thought it looked great. This was a great way to build up to the debut on CW. I think it's smart to use that match on CW because that's a way to get people to watch. That's the way to sell some tickets to that show as well. And that's the way to introduce a new audience to Julia. Yeah. But yeah, I'm excited to see what Julia does over there. I thought that this was a good use of her. And if you're looking for anybody down at a worker, Roxanne makes the most sense in the world. Don't make her do the work your way through all of these other wrestlers. Go straight to the top. Give her the championship match. Yep. Put her in that championship match and maybe give her that championship at this point. I thought that she looked amazing. When she came out of that smoke, I was like, oh, yeah, they got one right here. They got a big star. Roxanne is ready for this moment too. I think this is all this heel build up has been for this moment right here. They've gotten to a really great place. Okay. So you said that Roxanne and Jada was the match of the night. That means you did it like the main event. It's not that it didn't like the main event. It's just that I knew exactly what the main event was going to be. Totally. And I mean, I thought that this match, the main event was fine. But it's what you would assume from these two wrestlers and man, listen, the way I was sitting here during the Mercedes stuff and I was like, I am unironically starting to like the theme song. The ego thing is there with me. Wait a minute, bro, every time he comes out, though, I'm like, uh, no, that is not what I was expecting out of this. Hold on. No, man, the ego time, dog, I don't know, like, because Phil loves him some ego, but I thought we were doing a bit, but it's not a bit ego. It's so, it's such a bad theme. So, but now it's just what every time I come out, it's so fun to just laugh at it. That it's like, it's like, man, it's ingrained in the man. I like Ethan page so much so it makes me laugh even harder because I like him because he comes out. And he does his business. That's all. That sounds funny. I'm like, oh, do you think about how many wrestlers that you love that had bad things and they just eventually turned into like, nah, this is kind of like, no, bigger. I got everything that I ever wanted and I'm not giving it back. That's a horrible thing, but it's like, bro, look how memorable it is, dog. I don't think you're gonna turn the corner on ego though, that's so fun. Every time he goes out, I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, this was what I expected, man, like, bro, I know we've said it already. Joe Hendry is out of here, dog. He is out of here, bro. This guy is fucking over Jesus, bro. He came out there and that crowd went nuts, man. And they were reacting for everything he did, singing his song word for fucking word. I'm like, what is happening? He is out of here, dog. TNA dog. Y'all got to put the bell on him like, stop playing dog. His guy is out of here, bro. What the fuck? No, and why isn't he your champion? I like it, it blows my mind like he's challenging for the other company's championship. Put your belt on this guy, dude. What are you doing? Yeah, no, that guy is over, man, like, and I mean, man, go figure. This was a match where it just seemed like everything that was working was working because that crowd was eating up everything, man, this crowd loved this match. And so I'm just like, these guys didn't have to do anything crazy because this crowd was so hot for it. Yeah, they were loving it, man. So man, that crowd was, that crowd was very excited to see trick as well, man. That guy also continues to be very over dog whoop, that trick is crazy. Those fans fucking love them, some trick Williams. So yeah, now this, you know, I did was fine. It was, it was a solid match, but that crowd was very much into this ego. No, when, listen, when Ethan won the match. And Rick had to count the three and that look he had on his face when he was looking at him like, hilarious dog, hilarious trick, man, you like to just start. So then to the show, Ethan ended up winning. He retained the NXT championship and afterwards Pete Dunne dragged trick Williams out of the ring and started to beat him down. The next day, we got a diss track from trick Williams. Now I will say this before I say anything. Trick Williams is a extremely entertaining guy, man, very entertaining, extremely entertaining guy. I've sat, I've stood in a room watching him rap. Pretty enough, when I, when I was at Sirius and LA, I watched him do a freestyle with who kid in the room. And so I think the guy can rap. I think he's extremely entertaining. So what the hell happened? This video though, watching it, I was just like, okay, so this is what top dollar was doing and y'all hated. And so let me not say that they hated it. This is what top dollar was doing and there was a good amount of people calling it corny. This is what top dollar was doing and he was doing it better. He was, those bars were better and they called him corny is all I'm saying. Well not just that the bars were better. I think that trick did what trick does here, but I just think the video and itself. Like his target audience, like perfect, he hit it on the head. They love it. And I mean, when I saw how well it did, how it was trending that day and how we got that report that official to WWE, we're very excited about how it went. But I was like, but wait a minute, you guys were excited about how that went. Top dollar was doing the same thing. But that just goes to show you all the time and I point this out every time. The big deciding factor on whether something is good sometimes is, do I like the person doing it? That is always the deciding factor. And man, none of this is a negative on trick. I like trick a lot, but I thought the way some people were exaggerating about this, I was like, okay, cool. It looks a little, it looks a little like some and look the way, but now I thought bits of this were funny him and dropping the with the same age, but you look 40. I'm hilarious, but I definitely checked out when they started doing the dancing unison up the street. I was like, okay, I'm out. That's enough for me. I checked out about 15 seconds and now I told you, I told you all of the, all of the, that crowd from the PC, the Florida folks, all of them coming together and doing that together. Buddy, if punk walked in behind him and started doing that, I would have cut everything off and I would have just, I would have left the plate. If punk would have walked in with two NXT recruit, two NXT women crooks under his arm, that show would have been a hell of funny, you know, instead of behind him doing a wee there, really, but along these lines, I wasn't the target audience, Philip Lindsay's not the target audience. Am I? Who's this? I can't say it on the show, no, you definitely can't say it on the show, nah, you definitely can't say it on the show, nah, you definitely can't say it on the show, nah, you definitely can't say it on
