I did not, uh, I did not partake in the Elon blue check, uh, Kool-Aid, at least not my account. Right. Uh, Tony P also says, uh, they tried to make why Brian got to belt this late, something like Brian had other plans, didn't want it. Uh, hangman, uh, quote unquote wholesome face MJF feel full heel, uh, worth the right people to be, uh, swerve became a W bookie man slash monster. Uh, yeah. Uh, after seeing all in, I think it effectively put a lot of this stuff to rest that this shouldn't have been a match cause it was excellent. Um, actually we get into all in. Let's get into it. Let's get into it. Uh, you of course did a lot of talking about all in cause you did the, uh, live stream with Denise. You guys did a review afterwards, right? We did. Yeah. We went right from the show right into the review, um, shout out to everybody who showed up for that. Super fun. That was my first watch along. I definitely now after that would like to do a watch along with my friend Philip Lindsey cause I think it'd be super fun. Um, just people, just talking about the show as it happens is a very interesting aspect. So yeah, had a lot of fun doing that. And what a show to be able to, uh, to watch along feel this was one of AEW's best shows that they've ever had. Yeah. Uh, people that asked me, why was I not there? Nobody sent me the link. I didn't know nobody sent me the link. So I wouldn't have been in. Oh, come on. Man. That's on me, you guys. That's on me. Uh, yeah. We started off with the big, uh, 16 man tag match. It was fun. It was basically just a lot of people in the ring. Uh, it was fun. Uh, we, after that, we got the Willow Nightingale and told me hero, E.C.E taking going, Chris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway makes tag match to decide the stipulation match for all out next weekend immediately into bits with this match Stokely comes out and some remember the times as hilarious, hilarious, hilarious, them bringing him out on that golden bed and he's like laid out with the Michael Jackson get up hilarious, man. So funny. I cried. I'm like, of course Stokely would have this entrance and the match did the match had like a lot of fun. Some moments that like I was jumping up and down when stat got into it with E.C.E. and initially stats like firing up on E.C.E. and she's like, nah, but this stat really fires off on him and he like catches one out. Like that moment right there where stat rocked E.C.E. was like, this is amazing right into Stokely's Spartan Buster. I was like, oh no, we are off to the races right here. Now that, uh, that's fine, Buster was fire. Um, it was way, it was clean. That was way clean. Yeah, this was a fun match. Um, Willow Nightingale and Tommy here on E.C.E. won this. I think we both predicted that the heel team would win because this is kind of one of those where it feels like the heels are going to pick the stipulation. Um, but yeah, Willow won this match and on Dynamite she announced that it's going to be a Chicago Street fight in Chicago. I was a bit confused because I assumed this probably was going to be a chain match because everything around these guys has had a chain involved. Um, Stokely has used a chain several times and, and his bit to try and get somebody to cheat. Yeah. That's how Statlander won the Eliminator match. So I assume there's going to be some kind of chain involved. Um, there was not, there's not officially, I'm sure there'll be that'll play a part in the street fight. But yeah, I thought that maybe they'd be chained together at some point, you know, coming out of the stipulation, but, you know, different, different direction. I'm sure the match is going to be, uh, one of the best matches of the night regardless. Very excited for that match. Um, taking place at Naurina in Hoffman Estates. Yeah, I bet you are. Not Chicago, Illinois. Hoffman Estates. Um, I mean, there's like, this isn't the, this card that shaping up is like, I mean, you're not going to be too angry traveling out there, right? Coming together. It's looking pretty good so far. Uh, we got a, another big massive multi-man match. We got the 10 man tag match after this. A lot of people in this too. Of mine, Eric's, Sammy Corvara, uh, Cassiara, Shibata, and Dustin Rose, uh, took on, uh, undisputed kingdom, uh, cage of agony, and, well, somebody missing off this team because it's 10. Okay. Kingdom? Yeah. Underputed kingdom. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Kingdom? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Gabe, two bag of knee. Brian Cage. That's all everybody in it. Brian Cage. That's what it's. Brian Cage. Yeah. Um, I remember they had Sammy and Brian have the same gear. Yes. Uh, Sammy and Dustin are currently a tag team. They're currently your ROH tag team champions. And they had the, they had the matching gear because they had, uh, Dustin dressed as Deadpool. And of course, Sammy was dressed as Wolverine. Uh, okay. That makes a lot of sense. I didn't put that thing together. Yeah. I thought, I mean, Sammy got the same gear on. That's hilarious. And I thought, I thought that their gear was great. I thought that that going with the Deadpool gear for Dustin made a lot of sense. I thought they looked great. But of course, as we know, Brian Cage is a big Wolverine fan. And so he also was dressed as Wolverine, which is a little bit awkward, but he's been called Swolverine since PWG days, like he looked like that's his thing. That's been his thing forever. So it makes sense that at a big show, he would put that on. But I don't know, I mean, knowing how like backstage and things work there, there could be like a time they, they don't know they're going to wear the same thing, like that's pretty easy to do. Yeah. I don't know. Um, but yeah, this was also a fun match. Uh, Sammy at one point did a fire, uh, shoot star press. Sure did. So this entertaining to watch as a baby face, Sammy, uh, when the bell rings and, uh, I thought this was fun. I thought this was, uh, you know, easy, peasy, fun zero hour match. Yeah, I know we've been making, I made a couple of jokes about there being a lot of people here, but yeah, the zero hours kind of used to give people that have done great work throughout the year, whether it be on a ring of honor or a WTV, getting a shot, uh, on Wembley, I think was great and the 10 and 16 man tags are the reasons why. So just a kind of big fun sprints and I'm not too mad at him. Yeah. Uh, towards the end of the zero hour, uh, we got Sarah coming out with her entire family, uh, and her, uh, problematic boyfriend to music and I assume we're getting a open challenge because she came out in her gear, yep, and she addressed the crowd and she treated like her. It was her moment and surprise, we got Jamie Hader returning to a W in her home country in Wembley. The reaction to her was great. Huge. That, that visual of her coming down in front of that big crowd and throwing her ring jacket off and getting hyped up so far, um, was very excited to see her glass. She's back. Uh, she came down and beat a bunch of people down, but we didn't get a match. This was basically, uh, what I would assume is the start of the Sarray a few of her. And I think that makes a lot of sense because the outcasts, uh, were really the last people she was in the rain with, um, they cost her the belt and that led to Tony storm getting her, uh, second, uh, women's title met, uh, rain. She got the third one after that, correct? Yep. So, yeah, this was, uh, this was great. I, I, I kind of wish it would have been on a main card, but I thought it served its purpose. Um, I enjoyed it. Uh, I think Harley Cameron continues to be an underrated, uh, member of the roster. Uh, she's very funny. I think, uh, her work and rank is very much improved, uh, and her reaction to Jamie Hader going to swing at her and going to duck and then just kind of get booted out of the way was really, really funny. Yeah. Harley Cameron is underrated at this point, like the part that she plays, the matches that she's had also like Harley's one of those ones. And it's funny because, uh, I remember hearing a story about her, like fighting to get a match on the show for a lot, like for a while, she was like, you guys, let me get a match, let me get a match, but she couldn't just get the opportunity. And I'm so happy that she finally got the opportunity because she is absolutely destroying it. It was really awesome. Like Phil Lindsey, I thought this was going to be an open challenge because that's kind of what Saray has been laying out, uh, coming into the show. And so before Saray even got to get anything out, essentially, Jamie was already coming out to, to fire off on everybody, the reaction was insane, her popping the crowd up. She looked great. Like all of it was a really great moment and especially like, uh, it could have definitely went on the main show and it, you know, it would have been great. But you know, having that right before we're about to get kicked off, getting the crowd into a frenzy, getting more people interested in the show, I think kind of worked out. You know what I mean? And like, people get so hung up on things and, and, and where people debut, but like, again, like this pre-show is way different than the other people's pre-show because the other people's pre-show isn't about wrestling. The other pre-people's pre-show isn't about doing things like this. So this, the AW was still trying to get buys on pay per view, you know, can't be careful with some of that time. I was just a careful man, just listen, uh, listen, man, I like Jack Perry. He also likes Debbie, Debbie, yeah, so right after this, we started getting the interest to the ladder match, I immediately thought, okay, they're doing the entrances already on the pre-show that tells you how stuffed this card is going to be. Exactly. And throughout that time for entrances. Yeah, so throughout the show, I quickly, I quickly saw that I was right that this card is stuffed. Yes, sir. Well, we started with the ladder match. Another big multi-man match, four-way trios match, 12 men total in the ring. A lot of people out there. But this was fun. I think this was a fun way to start the show. I think the teams that looked fun, looked good in it. I was almost kind of rooting for House of Black because they're my favorite trios champions. I think that they had the best reign. I kind of wanted them to win, but couldn't resist going with that hometown pop. Pack won the match here for his team, so pack in the Blackpool Combat Club. Are your new trios champions? I'm fine with that. It does very much seem like this was supposed to be Deaf Triangle, which is a bit awkward, but I'm still fine with it. Yeah, I think if this is the worst-case scenario of what they were going for, this is pretty great pairing. Claudio, Pack and Willard, or if they're going to defend those belts are definitely going to be great. It kind of playing a role in what happened later in the show was also super funny because seeing Pack out there at the end of the show, still in his gear, celebrating was so funny that he's still in his gear. Is this lower in my head? But was it Pack like everybody in the BCC, we don't get down like none of y'all fools? What happened here? They were definitely not getting along at one point. I thought they were beefing for a while, so this was kind of an interesting choice. But yeah, I'm on the side of Phil. I was rooting for House of Black here because I like their reign a lot when I don't like spooky stuff, but their spooky stuff and their match added types when they were champions, I thought were making those trail championships into something that was needed and they were building that division pretty well. So I was interested in seeing them go on, but if we're going to get maybe some singles matches from these guys, maybe them in the tag division, that could also be great. This was, you guys, you know, I talked last time about ladder matches and how dangerous this they are. And this one wasn't as dangerous. Denise and I were laughing on the stream about how like flimsy, some of the ladders were. And I was like, this could be a little bit dangerous. Some of them were kind of tiny, but yeah, I thought that they, you know, sometimes it's like, let's keep going for the hometown pop, but it's just got the Jamie Hader thing. Let's get another one back. And Phil and I talked for months about pack needing a big wimbly moment. So, you know, that's, that's pretty dope. Yeah. So I mean, that in itself was cool. I think there were a lot of fun spots in the match that Wayne's will into the table off the apron was crazy. So it was definitely one where I was looking around like, Oh, please be careful, please be okay. Young and fearless, man. Yeah, you're, you're, you're Bay jumped in there a little bit, got some hairspray to the face. I got a little bit worried for her when she was standing on an apron. I was like, let's just get down. It's okay. Get down and get down. Hey, put her down. Hey, put her down. Now, when she slowed, she did the slow walk of the ladder. I was like. It feels. I was like, yeah, it's crazy. Yeah, the guns also looked good in this. I wouldn't have minded if the bullet clip gold one is I believe that that was my prediction when we talked about it, which, you know, I wouldn't mind. I still feel like they deserve justice because they were unfairly stripped of the titles and it didn't make sense. Only reason that I'm fine with them. I would also have been fine with them winning, but only reason I'm okay if that means juice is going to get some singles shine somewhere else. Like, if this meaning that we're going to put more focus on our J. Sorry, if Jay White's going to get more focus when he comes back, then that's what I'm into. So I'm okay with it. I think they should move the guns back into the tag division as well. Agree. I think they would make a lot of sense for a team for the young bucks to feud against. So hopefully that's where they're going with that. Hey, I like the guns now and not a bit way like I think they are a very great tag team. A lot of the way that they bump and sell, dude, like if anything, those guys are going to fucking feed for your ass. Shout out to the guns. Yeah. Yeah. Fun opener. Interesting tag to interesting trio one, curious to see where this goes. Then we got one of my favorite matches of the night. So Ryan May took on Timeless Tony Storm, the AW Women's World Champion. This match was phenomenal, like you hope come again to it with how good the storyline was that the match delivered and it gave a good conclusion to it. And it absolutely delivered. Yeah. We've been talking about that feud for months and months. The way that we got here, I thought was excellent is sent Tony into maybe the best AW Women's Champion. There's ever been. Mariah is a huge star off of this. And yeah, you know, off of, you know, such great angles and stories coming into it. You get worried like, man, maybe the match won't be as great as that story is. But luckily enough, you guys, I guess we'll never know because this match was on fire. The thing we kind of expected going into this, like maybe they'll have one of those stardom fights where they just get in the ring and beat each other's ass. Yep. This was that these women were blood thirsty for each other, tearing each other apart. And I thought I will like to get your thoughts on Mariah May randomly slapping her own mom. I thought that was an interesting aspect of it. But the execution of this and these women both going 100 miles per hour, trying to rip the others head off amazing match. Yeah, I was fine with that whole thing because they didn't want to lean too heavily into the hometown crowd for Mariah. And I thought the crowd was great during this match. The Tony Storm chant throughout it was really cool. I was really glad that she got the reception that she deserved given the title reign that she had. And like I said, if anybody was concerned coming into this that maybe that hometown crowd was going to cheer Mariah more than her, that definitely did not happen. It was okay. They got the desired reactions from both for sure. Yes. But yeah, heavy strikes into this thing, some heavy chops, heavy knee strikes, Mariah got some color at some point. There was a bit at one point outside of the ring where Mariah is like celebrating and Tony Storm hits it with that hip attack through the rope. And it's funny every time she does it just her whole taunt that she does afterwards is funny as well. I thought the finish to this was perfect. So you couldn't have come up with a more ingenious way to finish this match. Going back to the shoe and having Tony say watch for the shoe her entire time as champion and having her being somebody that has cheated for most of her reign and then when she got up against this one person that she grew to care about, she would not do it. And that hesitation was enough to give Mariah the upper hand. She hit her with the knee strike and the back of the head, which looked gnarly, came back and hit her with another one and then finished her off with her own finisher, which was brilliant. The way that they the whole story, this year long story played into that one moment feel of Tony thinking about everything that's gotten her here. The fact that she actually loves this woman because she was along for the journey. And it's a completely different relationship. And what got her to the game cost her the game. I'm like, wow, storytelling like a motherfucker. What a finish, man. What a great finish. And then Mariah got her moment, she took both of her belts and walked out and as Tony was getting herself together and rolling out the ring, all of the Tony chants started ringing off again and she was looking around. She immediately started laughing and I was like, this is again just such a perfect way to go with the story because this is what she wanted all along. That's why she started this character because she didn't feel like she was appreciated. She didn't think that she was getting her flowers and in that moment, she got her flowers even in defeat. And I thought that that was a great way to end it. Even that little clip that they put out or like wandering through the streets of then very, very funny stuff. Yeah. Phil says it right there. This whole bit was just about her being appreciated. She came in here and she was she's been in places where she didn't feel appreciated. And she just wanted the fans to be like, you guys, I'm that bitch, I'm one of the best wrestlers in the world. I just want you guys to show it and the crowd showing it. And that clip of her just wandering out in the street, just feeling like she's on top of the world. I was like, man, this is so good. And like thinking of what could happen next because we got this off of a of a bad loss. Like what happens when she has a good loss kind, you know, not per se, you know, like it's going to be interesting to see the next development of her character. Amazing work by Tony Storm in this whole feud in this match and just everything. She is one of the best wrestlers in the world legit. Yeah. At one point, this woman was saying that she had fallen out of 11 wrestling and she just did like one of the best runs of her career. Got a great moment at Wembley, man, shout out to Tony and Mariah, they put on a great match. I forgot that she said that that she did say she fell out like this person fell out of level with wrestling. That's crazy. Yeah. Phenomenal match, great storyline, great finish. Very excited to see what Mariah does as champion. Yeah. That's great work from both women. They're both in a different level. And I'm excited for Mariah, especially off of the matches that she haven't. But to, you know, submit her reign with that, that match against Tony Storm after all of this. It's like amazing work from her too, just like I'm so blown away by both of them. Yes. I could tell where we were going right afterwards because you could say see Fothi setting up as Tony was leaving. And so I knew where this was going. We got hook versus Jericho for the FTW title. I still don't feel like this needed to be on this card. I was sitting there the whole time, like this just feels totally unnecessary. But we at least got the cool moment of hook coming out with the heartbeats like his dad. We at least got the moment of Tash finally leaving the commentary desk and helping them. Them doing the red rum and the Tash mission at the same time was a cool moment. That crowd popped big for Tash. So that's a good moment for them, but boy, I still was not into this match. Isn't this the exact same match they worked last time? Like they had a spot with like core shoes or something. Remember where they were and can't like hockey pugs like I'm like, they did this exact same match. It was laughing the last time they did this show. I was laughing at you guys on your stream because when he did the spot where he brought the bag and he like poured the balls out and you guys were like, what are apples? I was like the cricket balls. I didn't know what them was. That's why they had the cricket paddles, their cricket balls. I didn't know nothing very funny, but yeah, we got to the task thing, which I think was at least worth this whole thing, but like we could have just had that as one little bit in the show. I don't know if we needed all the match to get to it. We didn't need a whole match to get to that. I felt like this match still could have got cut from the show, but but yeah, shout out to hook. He is your new FTW title holder. I still don't think that he needs that belt. I still feel like it's kind of an arbitrage for him, but he is FTW champion again and then look what happened in the scrum afterwards with the FTW title. Somebody spoke out of turn and call something Tony Tony was not feeling that man hook at that clean orange out. I don't care what nothing with y'all talking about. That's my favorite bit about hook is like, it's always this talking stuff. He's like, yo, I'm having a good time. I ain't got no worries, man. I got some chips. I got my lady. That's cool. Fresh Abraham. Come on dog. I'm living life. I don't care about nothing. But yeah, maybe we should test talked a little bit on social media about having a conversation would hook about what happens with the FTW championship. It might be time, dude. It's just weighing your son down at this point, you know, yeah, it might be time to move on from that. It was a cool moment, but I don't think it's quite as purpose. You know what I mean? Like you got it over in a w you got your your son wore it like we did it. Yeah, we got a lot of old school leather, by the way, because private party opened this show as like the de facto emcees. And I laughed immediately at Isaiah coming out there with his pellie pellie. I was like, now we're doing this. Very New Yorker, man. Yeah. Hella New York cannot help himself. I said with this week with hilarious dog, I was on the floor. Hilarious. I've seen people saying that it was cringe. I thought it was funny. I'm sorry. I thought it was hilarious. What you mean? That was cringe. And he's shooting shot. I thought that was hilarious, bro. Do you think they kind of played into the bit that happened? Because Isaiah was like, I know you single. I was like, I see what y'all doing here. That's funny. I thought it was funny. They brought the Okada stuff into it. That was funny. Mm hmm. It was cool. Whatever. And you know Mercedes has also been doing after parties after all of her wins. So I thought it was, uh, I thought it was cool. Hey, speaking of having a good time Mercedes is having a good time. Oh, she is like, man, she is having an amazing time. Shout out to Mercedes. Yeah. Definitely having a great summer. Mm hmm. Living her best life. We got the three-way tag match for the AW World Tag Team Championship. The Young Bucks took on FDR and the acclaimed. The Young Bucks came out with their Sergeant Pepper Lonely Heart Club Band Beatles gear. I also laughed at that, that your co-hosting your live stream got very excited for Mr. Bean. But she did not know that they were doing a Beatles reference. I thought that was very, very funny. She loved that Mr. Bean bit so much, but yeah, jump out of her seat like a Beatles thing. But yeah, the Beatles thing nothing didn't even rest. She didn't care at all. Didn't even rest. Yeah. They're doing something. I know what they're doing. So these are so funny. Yeah. Um. Okay, I'm what happens at the end of this match make the match know and void to me. Why didn't you brought the grizzled young vets out to confront them? If we would have did that match, we would have burned the house down. What happened here, Phillip Lindsay, I don't like that was fine. The three way was fine. Like nothing offensive, but like we could have been doing something here. Uh, yeah, I didn't understand that choice either. But this match was fun. I enjoyed the match. We got a lot of great spots in it. We got a max caster doing a BT trigger and then helping with a shadow machine. It was a very what you'd expect from a young bucks match. They hit a lot of fun spots and I was watching it the whole time like, Hey, these guys are great. That's why I would like to see them wrestle more on television because they're fun to watch. Um, yeah, so this match was a lot of fun, but I'm with you. I felt like if you were going to bring in the grizzled young veterans, if they're here, they should have just done the one on one match with the bucks at this pay-per-view. That made much more sense. Could you have imagined the heat with the crowd and going to it would have been insane? That just the whole time I was thinking we should have had this match while the match was happening. And then they came out at the end and I was like, well, it was a cool surprise to them coming out at the end, but I definitely sitting there like, why didn't we just do this? Like if they would have, if the bucks would have did an open challenge and grizzled young vets came out and corrupted them, that should would have been nuts. Yeah, we didn't know they were there and they just, you know, challenged somebody at Wembley. Maybe people would have thought it was more to see the machine guns and it was them instead. I think that that would have got a great passion man. But yeah, the match was great. It's the young bucks. Like you guys know, that's my favorite tag team of all time. And that's exactly what I'm saying with Phyllis saying is like, I just want to see them wrestle. I don't care about none of the semantics. Just get to the wrestling because you guys are the young bucks. Yes. Yeah. FDR continues to have very good chemistry with the bucks, the acclaimed every time they're in a spot where they actually can wrestle with a tag team. They continue to remind you why they were a high tag team that had a great entrance. It was a bit too much billy gun for my taste. I just don't think they need him anymore. I just think that they work so well as a duo that they don't need him as much. But again, I enjoyed the match. Is it like, do they go into every acclaimed match, like, and then the billy gun spot will happen. It's like, why is the billy gun spot happening? Dude, leave him out of this. But yeah, a grizzly young vets confronted the young bucks coming out of this and thinking of my brain, like knowing that like, it feels like in the next two or three weeks, we're going to probably get grizzly young vets and FDR and what that's going to do. I'm like, well, we're here. I think we're here. This is the shot in the arm that the tag division needs. Yes. Please keep this up. Guys did exactly what we were sitting here saying when we talked about the Lucha Bros and bringing the specific team that we talked about in, so I hope that that's a good sign for the division. It seems like grizzly young veterans are going to have to match it all out. I have to assume it's probably going to be FDR versus grizzly young vets. Thinking so. And I hate you again. Yeah. So that should be a fun match. He says. Yeah. We got the casino gauntlet match up next. This was a lot of fun. Oh my God. This was way better than I expected it to be. It kind of felt like a royal rumble with all the surprises and the countdown and everything starting off straight away. Oh, I don't have it in front of me. It was orange and no kata, right? Yeah. Orange and Okata because they did the hug spot. Yes. So yeah, we started with Orange and Okata. They did the hug spot. Okata looks straight at the camera like he was not amused. And oh, I forgot before we get into that. We're shaming Denise. Orange Cassidy came out with the Mr. Bean entrance shaming Denise. What a great entrance for him. And it fits his character also with the UK crowd. I thought that that was great. Him continuing to come out with that one pyro that goes up still continues to be one of the funniest things ever to me when they showed it from outside of the arena that one fireworks one into the air. Hilarious. Oh, funny. Yeah. Denise, that was maybe Denise's favorite bit of the whole show of Orange Cassidy doing the Mr. Bean thing. Like I've never seen her that exact. She stood up off of her chair. You guys like she was so jump out of her seat. Hilarious. But yeah, we started with the Orange and Okata and then we got one of the biggest surprises of the night. Nigel McGinnis returned to wrestling got a great reaction. He looked fantastic and great shaped. He still did most of the Nigel bits with the chops London tower spot. He still did that crazy athletic thing he does in a corner. I was very happy to see him man. Yeah, this was a huge surprise when the music hit. It was like, Oh, what's going on? The crowd knew what was going on immediately like you have to tell them nothing. They're like, Oh, Nigel's here. Let's go crazy. And the crowd went absolutely crazy. But the thing I'd loved most about this is Nigel came to fight. Nigel was like, Oh, no, I'm getting an opportunity. I'm about to slap the shit out of Okata. I'm about to be in a fight that like he came as Nigel. And I think he was like, I'm about to show you guys you got to give me this Brian Daniels to match. That's what it felt like. Yes. I laughed at all the memes about people saying Mariah kissed him on the forehead and they gave him a strength. And I every time I think about it, I think for like kissing him on the side of forehead and him jumping up with like the Popeye music playing in the background and running back there and putting his gear on something because that brother came to fight. But yeah, he looked great seeing him in there with Okata man. That's so cool. Then we of course got Kyle Riley and Ryder Strong at some point against seeing all of those guys in that ring together. So so cool. Then my guy came out in that visual buddy, listen man, when Maseline hit that the punk rock shit hit, I was like, no, Zach's here, bro, that visual of the camera behind him walking down. I was like, bro, this is fire, man. Yeah. Huge moment, Zach, the first British G1 winner, like this was a crazy time with the people that were in the ring to Zach got in there was like, oh, this is insane. Zach's faced off with Nigel at one point. I was like, yes, this is crazy. So cool man. Zach in there was Nigel, Zach in there with Okata again, man. So so fire. This match dude, like like you saying, like when they announced it, I was like, oh, that should be cool. But this was one of my favorite matches of the show, honestly. Yes. Then we got, of course, the debut of Ricochet. I thought his name music was great, got a great reaction from the crowd as would expect it. It still looks like Ricochet did an incredible shooting star press like you would expect. Still looks like him, fun to see him in an environment. Looking forward to seeing more of him. We'll get into some of the stuff from Dynamite with him, but very fun to see him and it's an atmosphere. How do you feel about people being dumb and saying, how could he debut and moves in that match? And like I didn't, I didn't get that at all coming out of the match. I thought people trying to make a big deal of, of people losing a match where they didn't get pinned was very weird. And we'll get into that more when we get into some more of the Dynamite stuff because people kept going, oh, that person couldn't do it. Could they lost in the gauntlet? They didn't get pinned. The whole point of the match. Yes, if the match was an elimination gauntlet and every single person got pinned, we'd be having a different story right here, but that wasn't what this is like when somebody gets thrown out of the Royal Rumble, you're not like, oh, they buried them. They lost. Why could they lose in the debut in the Royal Rumble? No, that's not what. Yes. But yeah, nobody's like, I can't believe AJ Styles losses debut match. It's like, we got Christian limping down there fresh off of his ladder match where he lost the trio's titles. He did what you would expect, did the work harder, works smarter, not harder in the match. He pretty much stayed out of the way to the end. Pretty good. He got some good spots in, got a really good looking spear in, and I thought that was the end of the match. And then, Luchasaurus came in there, and they did the pump fake to me again, and I immediately groaned. You've done this pump fake so many times with Luchasaurus. In this face turn, I didn't buy it. The second he did it, I was like, he's not going to turn, he's just going to help him win the match, and that's exactly what he did. And that wouldn't have bothered me if they hadn't already done it before, multiple times. And so, when it happened, I was like, oh, this finish sucks, and it was such a downer because I love this match. I agree with you, this was one of the best matches of the night. I had a lot of fun with this, but I did not like this finish, man. Yeah, as soon as I saw Christian limping down there, I was like, oh, I hope this isn't leading to where I think it's leading to, and then it led exactly where I thought it was leading to. And I was like, no, don't do this to us like this. And it's so unfortunate because this match was awesome, so many big moments for this show, and then like, for it to be that kind of predictable, Christian's going to like, kill, switch, do it again. It was just, I'm like, all right, you guys, I don't want, I don't like that. I did not like that at all. And I wouldn't have even minded the outcome of Christian winning the match. Yes. But I just didn't like that finish. If it has the same exact finish they've done before. Yeah, it just, yeah, I didn't need to see that finish again. But yeah, Christian is your gauntlet winner, so he now has a contract to cash in at any time for an AW World Championship match. I don't know how I feel about some of the booking choices with that, but I suppose we'll get into more of that later. I'm like, I could think of four guys in this match that should have won that better than like, Orange, Zack Sabre could have had it in his pocket, Nigel, like what's going on here? Yeah, your pick was Mox. And so I was surprised that they didn't use Mox here, but I actually, I actually think that that was the right call based on other story stuff they did in the show that played in the Dynamite. Yes. But yeah, that was fun for what it was. But boy, that finish just went for me. Yeah. Well, I feel if he would have just came and hit the spear and stole it like that, I would have been in, but adding the luchosaurus tees as a turn again just wasn't. Yeah. Right. The turn might not even hit as hard because you keep playing boy, that card wolf with it. Like you guys got to get to it at this point. Well, we've been doing this tee since last year and it's almost a year again. Like, this is a long time, yes. So after that, we got what most of us were expecting was going to be a match of the night. The last spray taken on MJF for the American championship at the time. This was pretty much what you expected. Very good match. Both of these guys continue to show that they're very good wrestlers. No surprise was Will Osprey, but Max has to keep reminding you guys he's good at wrestling. And so every time we do this and people are like, man, that was pretty good. It's like, no, this guy has done this multiple times. He's shown you that, hey, you might not like this character stuff. You might find some of his promos and his approach to heel work repetitive. But when that bell rings, he's still very good. The spot outside of the ring where he's yelling at Osprey from outside of the ring and he's saying, you're a piece of shit. All you can do is flip. Anybody can do a flip. And he pulls out this springboard moonsault out of nowhere and it looked beautiful. I was like, what? Yeah. Yeah. I thought that this match, the thing that we talked about earlier about the show being on the time crunch, I'm like, man, a time crunch with Max with MJF on the show. What a great thing. And this is one of my favorite matches, Max matches of all time because he had to get right to it. Like you can't slow walk the dog in this big dog. You got to go forward. And Denise and I talked on the post show about like how the match on Dynamite, the almost our match prepped us for this because they got to slow walk the dog in that. So in this match, it just got to a, yeah, there was a bunch of bits that were fucking really on the money. I spray was going a hundred percent. We got the return of a young Daniel Garcia at one point, pulled up on the apron, pulled his little hoodie off, shocked Max. I thought that was a really good bit added onto the thing and the hidden blades in this were insane. And you boy, well, I spray did it one, one time again, Tiger driver 91 onto the next of max. Yeah. One time for the one time. My interest is in all the gear was great. Max did the Apollo creed entrance like I did, thought he would did a very white version of it. Very funny to me. I sprays a Assassin's Creed entrance was also fire. I spray gear was fire. Yes. His gear. He had like the break dancers out there with him. Fire. Yeah. This match was incredible. Like you said, the hidden blade spots, Max continuing the tease that he hidden blade and the camera work they kept doing with it very, very cool. The diamond ring is missing apparently. It's according to some reports, this thing is really missing. Yeah, I was on a Reddit earlier and it said, Oh, yeah, no, that ring thing is real. And I was like, Oh, shit, is it? What happened? Yeah. Yeah. So Max used like some brass knuckles that it looked like he made out of paper. Like when we were here in high school, you just make a whole, take a whole bunch of loose leaves and fold them up and put them over your knuckles. That's exactly what it looked like he did the paper knuckle sandwich. I'm crying. He tried to hit a Osprey with it and Dan Garcia showed up on apron and stopped him. I thought that that was a great return for Dan. Great use of him. I was legitimately surprised because I wasn't expecting to see him. I wasn't either. Yeah. Great way to go back to that story. And now you're coming back to Chicago with that match and that's the place that Max turned on him. So perfect, perfect way to book that. Yes. Yeah. Countless good spots in this match. The Oscar on the apron crazy man, the ending stretch to get into the the tiger driver. Mm hmm. Incredible. The counters. There was a lot of dope counters like Max is again showed us that like he could do pretty much every style of wrestling. But I thought his counter wrestling in this case, which you kind of have to get into when you're in an Osprey match was off the charts. Yes. Uh, the cameraman that got clocked with a hidden blade at one point and then it cut back to him laying on the ground and he for some reason had like these like wild colorful underwear on and like like mismatched slacks. I was like, what's going on? You knew that millions of people were going to see him and he was like, Hey, I got to make sure that my undies are hidden. I didn't know why they shot right to it. But for some reason, it worked. That was very weird. When it cut to, I was like, yo, what are you wearing bro? What's happening here? Listen, it was this time to shine and we're talking about him on the show. That mean he got his shit off. But yeah, Osprey, uh, they played into the moment on dynamite of Brian telling him to do it. They teased it, teased it, teased it, Osprey finally hits it to end the match. I thought that excellent work by both guys, huge reaction to Osprey on his insurance. The Osprey Osprey was like, yo, exactly what you thought it would be him winning the title got a great reaction. Yeah. It was just like I was saying on the dynamite, the go home episode, say what you will about the heel work. The stuff that you may or may not agree with, it worked because that crowd reacted exactly like they were supposed to, to Max, Osprey still got the big pop you would expect. And I thought the storytelling of this match was very good. And I liked Max's promo from this week, uh, kind of, it, it, it, it, like kind of put the stamp on that rain and like, no, I'm actually denouncing America except for where I live. I'd like, damn that. This is kind of hidden. It's worked. Yeah. Uh, I thought actually the, the promo on dynamite was his best promo in a while. Yeah. Fucking great. It was very focused. It was very on point. Um, but yeah, I, I thought this match was very good. To no surprise. I mean, we knew this was going to be the best matches in the show, Osprey in that position. We knew the crowd was going to be crazy. We knew Max has something to prove with this Lex Luger gear, like all the elements were there. Yeah. I'm glad that he came out with the Lex Luger gear. He didn't do the gear that he did at that rev pro show. We didn't see that. I'm good. Nice audible. Thanks. I'm sure he was trying though. Yeah. Very cool to see the Lex gear. Um, yeah, this was, this was a lot of fun. Great match, uh, which again, I'm not sure anybody is very surprised. Uh, we, uh, we followed this up with the AEW TBS championship match, uh, Mercedes took on Brit Baker and the match that a lot of people were hyping up. I expected this to be one of the better matches on this card. Um, there's been a lot of talk about it on another podcast, uh, on the timeline. Let's start with love. So, uh, I, I thought the entrances were great. I thought that, uh, Mercedes looked amazing coming out in a chariot with her dogs. All very funny. So good. Breaking like the London guards to come open a door and then Camille was like, no, no, no, I got it. Camille also looked great in her gear. Um, I thought her entrance with fire was like the big cape. She's in stunting on y'all in her magazine and told her told y'all that it cost $10,000. Listen, that's my type of carrying on. Honestly. Love it. Um, but yeah, she looked great came out and, uh, I thought Russell, the best match she could given the circumstances, um, there was a lot of things in this match that I really liked, but I don't think that it worked as a whole. I think the, I think the work that Mercedes was doing on her back was very smart. Um, there was some very clever callbacks to this. Um, at the beginning of the match, when Mercedes did the Charlotte spot from the summer slam match, where she dumped, uh, Britt Baker on her back on the turnbuckle and I immediately got what they were going for. But the thing is that spot looked like deaf and at summer slam match because of the way Mercedes sold it. Yup. And Britt did not sell it nearly as well. She didn't really commit to the movie either because you could see she was still trying to hold on. She was, uh, Mark Henry brought it up. Um, yeah, it's a term that wrestling uses called sandbagging. And the Brit was just, she was just really heavy in the match. I got specifically, I really liked this spot. Mercedes did the big body slam off the center rope. I thought it was great Brit was a hit. You got to like, you got to help up there, but the spot was awesome and it played into a spot that they did later in the match where Britt reversed it. So it's like, yeah. And so that's why I'm saying I think some of the stuff they did was actually smart that that, uh, body slam off the back again, continuing to work the back, uh, like the backbreakers that Mercedes was working in all very smart, um, even I would say the way that they got into the Panama sunrise and then the stop afterwards. All of this, all of, like I said, there were bits of this that was like, okay, this is good. This is good. One, the whole though. That Panama sunrise again with heavy. If you're doing a Panama sunrise, you're supposed to come down like light so you keep going. Jump into it. You don't come down with all your might to a dead stop. That's not how the spot works. There was some, yeah, there was something else over here. There were some bits in it that I was just like, uh, and man, like I said, all those things, I liked about it. The back work she did, I even liked, uh, the transition they did into the finish, even though it looked messy once it got to the finish, um, this match was supposed to meant Britt Baker. Um, when you consider what this meant for Britt Baker, um, Britt Baker for a lot of people was considered the top star for the AEW women's division. And so getting a chance to wrestle somebody of Mercedes caliber coming into this match and even coming into it and having a segments where they both felt like big, big stars standing in the rain together, this was supposed to be the moment where Britt Baker proved that she arrived, that she could hang with somebody of that color. And I think that in a lot of ways, it exposed her. I think it exposed her as a worker in a lot of ways. Um, I think a lot of negativity around this match, um, also kind of exposed her as well. Um, and I think it's unfortunate because like I said, I was excited for this match. I was excited based on the work going into this and man, this match just didn't do it for me. Like I said, I really wanted to like this match, uh, pacing, it just didn't work. It just felt like, it just felt like Mercedes was just running laps around her at some point. So who do you know in your life that knew this match is going to be like this? Who said off rip, don't do this fucking match. I know it's the biggest match that you can do, but as soon as the bell rings, it's going to go to hell. Who? Which one of your friends said that? Which one of your friends knew exactly what was going to happen in this match? I'm like, dude, but I don't, I don't think bamboozled, but I don't think either of us would have predicted that it was going to be this poor and boozled. Mark Henry again said it best. You were just the first. That's it. That doesn't make you the best. You were just the first. Now it's a roster full of head hunters. It's a host roster full of the best women wrestlers in the world and you cannot keep up. We see it on the show, the best of the best. You can't hang with the best of the best and if you can't hang with the best of the best, you can't hang with nobody here. Julia Hart's going to run laps around you. Guy Boo is going to run laps around you. You can't keep up with Willow, Tony, Mercedes, Mariah. You can't keep up with these people. That was the test to do it and you failed. Yeah, I thought of very telling, like you said, we because we got the sky blue match early on with Mercedes and it was great. We got a sheet of match and we didn't get a full sheet of match, but it was good. Fire. Yeah, I'm like more, more, more. I need a best of seven. And so I mean, even an island match. I really enjoyed the nylon match. I, I came away. We haven't came out of any Mercedes match beside this being like, Oh, that match was in that. Great. We're always like, that was something. It was always some kind of something connected to it. I came away from this legitimately feeling like this was Mercedes worst post WWE match. And I don't think it's because she wrestled a bad match. I, again, I think she tried her best to give us a good match. That finished segment segment where they rolled into that spot where they then were back to back and they had the underhooks. And it looked like she had to like force her into the Irish whip and then like, bring it around to the finish. I was like, yo, what is going on, man? I was like, what is going on, man? Are you in the match to like the takes to the tango. So yeah, I, I was not a fan of this match. Unfortunately, I think it had all of the potential to be better. It just wasn't. I keep looking at, I was looking at my phone because I was looking at the date. I was like, oh, Mercedes gets to wash that taste out of people's mouth tonight on that New Japan card. So it'll be fine. Yeah. I, yeah, this was, this was kind of unfortunate, man, like, I think this was if it just for Brit, like, you know, I'm like, you needed this, like it, you needed this really bad. And it just like that was not it. Yeah. I mean, I, you know, I've seen some of the talk around it. And, you know, she did come back from a very serious injury. She talked about her injury at some point. And I could accept the ring rest. What bothered me more than that is that Brit makes the point of telling us all the time. She's a day one A.W. wrestling. She was the first woman signed to this company. And this company has been around for five years. I don't feel like based on that, that she's shown all of this great improvement in a ring. I think that she's there as a character and a talker, but I don't think that she's shown the improvement that seeing other wrestlers in the division make. They should have switched these matched orders. Like if we're talking women's championship, not this should have been the second match of the show. I'm sure the other women in that locker room were like, this is a huge moment for women's wrestling. They're getting a big main event spot. And that's what you do with it. Like I would be mad if I was a woman. The thing you can say about this is the women got a great spot on this card. They built to this match very well. They gave them a lot of TV time. They gave them opening segment. They gave them a lot of time on this card all the way to the point that I kind of felt like the match could have cut a little bit of time off because it felt a bit long. But both of the women's matches got plenty of time. They felt like the biggest match, two of the biggest matches coming into this show. So that in itself, I do think that this all around, this was a win for women's wrestling coming into this show. Even if I didn't necessarily feel this match delivered, I do feel like this was a lot of positive momentum for the women's division. It's still a big win for the women's division. This was a semi main event of the show of Wembley Stadium, a huge show. This is a big deal regardless of kind of the mechanics of the match. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Of course, A.W. Mercedes is still your A.W. TBS champion. Let's start her. She won with a money maker. I think that that was predictable. I thought we all going into this new Mercedes was going to win. Like I said, there were bits of it that I really liked, but on a whole, not really for me. Yeah. Next up, we got Jack Perry versus Darby Allen for the TNT title and a coffin match. This is a sprint. Yeah. This, this is the match that I felt suffered the most from this cramped car, because this match felt the most rushed and I felt like this match, if anything, it felt hurt by some of the time constraints. Yeah. I like none of the other matches. I really noticed it. This was the only one where I was like, okay, that would end it kind of abruptly. Yeah. When it was over, I was like, wait, it was, it's over? Like it felt like there was like, it felt like there was a middle section of it that was missing. Yeah. It definitely feels like something was cut, but I thought, I thought it worked for what it was. Jack came out cocky as ever. He came out and basically out Darby, Darby here, which I think was the smart way to go. I picked Darby to win this match and I completely forgot when we were doing the predictions that Jack has actually won a coffin match, Jack won a coffin match against Christian. So this is his second time winning a coffin match. That's what got me in the pre-show. They were like, oh, Darby has never lost a match and Jack lost a coffin match and Jack has won. I was like, Jack might win this. Yeah. So they were technically tied, but yeah, Jack tied up Darby early in a match, tied his wrists together, taped them together, and then later in a match, he kind of tied them together and he did, uh, he did the four brothers bit. I don't know if you notice this, he did the four brothers bit where he put them in the body bag and then put them in a coffin. He made them think that he can escape. If you guys don't know that I'm talking about, there's a bit from four brothers where Tyreece's character, which I don't know what's going on with Tyreece. He's everywhere. Yo. What is he? What is he promoting? Because he's been everywhere, but we got Tyreece's character. We need to know what he's promoting though, because when I saw him the other day, he was like, this club Shae Shae interview, he's about to say, if he drop it tonight, it's going to do, I'm like, but what are you promoting? He's been everywhere. I went to, uh, I went to hang out with family on Saturday night last weekend and we were watching the college football game and I looked up and he was walking down the field. I was like, what is he doing here? He's everywhere. And then he did the Marvin Gaye. We got that beard on. I was like, what? What is going on? What on? So the Tyreece bit from four brothers at one point in the movie, he puts a mat, he puts a bag on somebody's head and he was like, see, it has to be clear. You got to know that you can get out of it. If it's dark, it doesn't, it doesn't hit the same. So what Jack basically did here, he put him in the body bag, tied him up. And he made Jack, he made Darby feel like he had a chance to escape. And as soon as he poked his head out of the coffin, hit him with the glass John D strike, closed it, won the match. I thought that was a great finish. Yeah, really great finish. It was just a little bit abrupt, but I thought that whole, uh, that struggle that they were having and Darby, it felt like Darby was in his element, but he totally was out of his element. And that's kind of how that was kind of his demise in this match. And then so they go, uh, Darby or Jack wins the match with the knee. And then they tease that the young bucks come down. Also another funny bit, by the way, Nick Jackson had cut off his facial hair that he had earlier in the show. By the time he got there, just funny for no reason. And so they bring out the gas can, like they're going to light Darby on front. Like, oh, they're doing the, they're going to like this guy on fire and Wembley. But, uh, no, it was just a little ploy. Yeah. But, uh, seeking destroy, blaring through the speakers, uh, it's staying, staying here. I thought that that was a great, uh, surprise to see Sting again, uh, Sting save the day, help Darby get out of the casket. Um, we're going to, I kind of have issues with certain bits of this because again, I think the match was good. I think the finish was good, but I just don't understand the booking decision to give Darby a world title match. And then coming into the pay-per-view, you're setting him up to take this loss. Now, like we talked about last week, when I predict this, that Darby could win this match. Um, Seth said, well, you can always heat him up and you can, but I just feel like you're unnecessarily creating a problem. Yeah. Exactly. Like you're putting them in the positions that you didn't really have to put them in. No. Yeah. When you're creating, like us going into the show thinking that he has this title shot, his world title shot has affected a bunch of like history a little bit, you know? So yeah, I didn't understand it, bitch. And then we got, we got the mock stuff on Wednesday. And I'm just like, okay, which, okay, we'll get into that. We'll get into the diamond stuff, but that confused me even more with some of the Darby stuff. Cause I might too. All right. Uh, but yeah, this was our penultimate match ahead of the main event. Um, this man. This one, this, the, the, the, the, the, the, the cascade match definitely is the match that suffered from prime constraints, but it did work in like spill sank to get heat for the main event. Cause soon as the main event started, it was hot. Yeah. It definitely felt like a cool down match. Um, but yeah, the main event started, we, uh, immediately get final countdown. Uh, it's emotional as I expected, man, like that montage and stuff that they played before it and Brian came down. When, when they shoot them, when the camera pans and Brian's walking out and just the songs playing and the moment's happening, we're like, this is crazy dog. Absolutely emotional. His family was in the building. Of course that was played up coming against in the match. Um, yeah. Great. I was hoping we were going to get, uh, ain't nobody. We did not get that. But second best thing I'd say. We got, uh, swerve coming out to the, uh, big pressure remix with big, with bun B in the building, bun B in Wembley stadium, a part of a main event. Um, it, it just made swerve feel like a bigger deal. The fact that he recorded that as champion, uh, he has that moment of recording the video and everything with these artists as champion and then getting to enter Wembley stadium with bun B and West side gun. I'm like, yes, it was also there. They keep talking about gun getting a big moment. Gun was at Wembley, you guys, West side gun wrapped at Wembley in front of all those people. This moment, Bill, it would, it, you know, it felt, it was kind of quick and it was like, most people are just like, that was a cool serve entrance. This entrance is fucking major. Historic. Historic. And it just goes back to what we kept saying during Square's reign is that they don't present black champions like this. They don't. They don't. The wimp of the main event of the biggest show of the year against Brian and his potential last match and swerve is coming out with bun B West side gun and DJ who kid dog culture, man. Um, that was so dope, uh, seeing them and of course flash garment as well. Yeah. Flash to, of course, for, you know, being the, the, the ship that steered this song into becoming what it was. So yeah, before we even got to the match, those two entrances, I was, I was hyped. I was hyped. I was hyped. Just seeing bun B and Wembley stadium. Come on. So cool. Here's a new GK you guys. Absolute legend. Like I said, West side gun with them so far, but yeah, be it getting that stare down when, when they were staring in the standing in the ring and we're getting the usual introductions into the match and they're holding the belt and I'm just sitting there like this is, this is swerve main eventing and Wembley stadium with Brian Danielson, just dog, just great all the fields and it's match was, it's match with and the match before we even get to the match, Phil and I were already hyped, but then they had the match and I, I, I saw many amazing elements and they, they told so many little stories in this match. This match was amazing, easily match it a night for me. Yep. Absolute magic. The strikes in this match, the storytelling they did with the strikes, the swerve stomps that he was sitting at some at one point, absolutely nasty, the swerve stomps. The story of swerve being the final boss villain of like your little shit is not affecting me being told in this match of Austin, Brian coming from deep in his soul with some of those slaps and chops to like try to combat swerve, I'm like, this is crazy right now. Incredible. Very violent. Brian getting, literally getting his bell run, getting his head, hit against the ring bell and getting busted open and then swerve proceeding to drag him in front of his fans family, beat him, beat on him in front of his family, did the, did his dance in front of their daughter and was just like, you know, no, no, did his dance. You want your dad to come home. I'm going to send him home. I'm going to send you home to him and the whole time he's doing this, Nana is in front of him doing the dance. Hilarious. I'm like, this is a crazy moment. They're talking shit to this man's family. He's bloody kids are crying and Nana's dancing. I'm like, this is absolutely diabolic stuff. Great. He gets him in a ring, hits them with several house calls. I mean, each one looked nastards in the last. I'm like, dog, I think he's done. He pins them. Great near fall immediate near fall. Gets him up, starts hitting him with the yes kicks. Dog that moment where Brian fires through the yes kicks and tells his family, I love you. Man. What? This is, who wrote this dog? I'm crying. This is crazy. So first of all, the camera work of him getting hit with these house calls and Brian is reaching to the corner where his family is and he gets hit with this house, house call out of nowhere. He kicks out, kicks out defiantly, starts getting hit with the yes kicks and the whole time he's doing the Koda Bushi hoke up where he's not feeling any of this and he's the whole time saying, I love you, I love you. And then he just like snaps out of it and starts hits him with one of the hardest jobs I've seen the new do in a long time. It was incredible. That exchange back and forth, him thinking he's going to hold back up into this match. And this is again to you people that could say that this company does not do storytelling. To do that call back of I spray and Brian going from dueling corners and him hitting him with that hidden blade and knocking him out of nowhere. And we got the same thing and Brian's just like, no, I'm going to hit this guy. Hits him clean with a bicycle, dude. He backs up into the corner and it's like, nah, dog, you're going to have to do something more than that. That ain't that ain't it. I jumped out of my seat and made like a yelping noise that I don't even know what it was. I was like, yo, what dog? There's been a lot of more. We talked a lot on this podcast about crowning swerve moments and how he's done in this rain. Him brushing off the boo psycho knee and hitting bro that house call. I'm like, Oh my fucking god, dog. We are here. This is it. We have swerve a big contract after this one moment, bro, when he when he didn't even fall, nothing. And I'm sure some people get into the no sale, but this is again how effectively you can new use this to tell a story. And him just kind of chuckled at him afterwards like, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. That's not it. And then again, with the nasty looking house call, I was like, dude, just like the way that like he's in motion with the house, God, he could hit it and he's right back into the same position is like the way that you add cool to destroying someone's brain is amazing. Incredible man. The attempt to do the house call again out of the corner. No, I'm sorry. To do that rolling is it like a it's a flatline rolling flat liner that he does. And Brian hit him with the cycle need and knock him out of it. Great counter. Man, the closing stretch of this match was incredible. All the emotions, all the feel ending the match exactly the way he won WrestleMania 30, the exact same way the camera shot and everything the exact same focusing on the S grip on it the exact same way. Get me out of here. Wrap me up. This was this was man. This was a classic match. This was just like a masterpiece from start to finish man with the entrance is the moments Brian just taking it all in his family being there. This felt like a movie like the like they were right the final ending of a movie like this match had all the elements swerves the big villain he's like Brian stone everything in his life at Swerve but swerves eating it all Brian is crawling with blood on his face. There's hand prints on the fucking mat from his blood. I'm like this is an epic encounter Swerve played amazing and when Brian finally did fire up on him and get him back Brian hit a great Larry at one point on Swerve with them inside out. This is just amazing. Yeah, really, really good match. Even all of the stuff like them doing all of the WrestleMania 30 stuff the same way and being able to see in the background you to running down and then Claudia run down like bro. This is they grab the kids over the the rail bring them into the ring like I was referencing earlier. Pack is here because he just when the he won the trios championships earlier. So now he's gang but he's in his gear still and it's just funny to see him in there celebrating Brian's whole families in the ring like like after an amazing match amazing way to get here to to celebrate that moment with your family after you just had an epic match is like wow what a what a moment. Yeah confetti coming down pack trying to stay stick straight face and not smile through all of this. I love you. He's trying to stay with the bit while this amazing moment happening. Stuff. Yeah. And I didn't even think about it in the moment until we got some of the stuff from Dynamite. But like I alluded to with them not having marks in the gauntlet match. Just that small note of everybody from Blackpool Combat Club being in that ring and celebrating with him but John Moxley. Excellent storytelling. You know what like you said my picture when the gauntlet was John Moxley and then when Christian one I still was like why didn't Moxley do this but the way that they brought it back around like that's kind of the story element that they're telling like well why was it Moxley I'm like oh okay I think I might actually like this. Excellent excellent storytelling. Great way to end the night I said perfect main event. Great finish. Great outcome the right outcome listen I didn't know people wanted to hang me in match but this this was this was incredible bro like it would have been hard to top this man like this is Brian has had multiple of multiple of my favorite AEW world title matches. You can go back and say that first hangman match the hour match that was a draw. Excellent the the Iron Man match of course and then this one he's had multiple like classic AEW world title matches. Listen I was at WrestleMania 30 I was at WrestleMania 35 those are two of my favorite wrestling moments ever at WrestleMania 30 he wrestled in the opener and then he wrestled in the main event WrestleMania 35 he wrested WrestleMania 35 previously it's my favorite wrestling moment ever I was there I cried at a wrestling show seeing Kofi mania happen but those matches in 30 and 35 while very fun warrant the kind of match that they did here at all and like this for this match to be attached to the moment and Swerve looked like a god in this and them have a fucking epic match like this was this has become my favorite wrestling moment of all time with all the moments with all the elements added into it. Yeah I think coming into this both of us were okay with Swerve losing even though I would have been happy if he won but I think the fact that he looked so good into it did it just really you know I'm like did he really lose man because he came out looking like a fucking boss yeah the fact that he looked so great in defeat he didn't just go out there and lose man I just think it cemented him as a champion I still say that he's among the top three AEW world champions I think this was a fantastic rain friend and I don't think this is it based on the contract and everything we got today I do think he will be AEW world champion against us just the beginning we got years of this we're about to be having a good time yeah but man what a great pay-per-view even the stuff that didn't hit for me most of it breezed by like I said that Jericho stuff wasn't for me but it came away it still even wasn't really that offensive though you know what I mean like I would definitely would have preferred something else been in a spot but like you know could be worse really good pay-per-view yeah they did it definitely that's what the spirit of all in and we didn't really talk about the kind of how like they paid like the fans got their money's worth like with the Nigel's Saksaber juniors Mariah's like they left that show very satisfied they paid off some things that I didn't even think they needed to pay off and that's how like much goodwill they built for the fans yeah this was definitely the best all-in so far I would say out of the out of the Wembley shows the 2018 is special man it's hard for me to yeah it's something anything to kind of like we're here because of that so like you gotta gotta keep that in mind let's see what happens next year in Texas man maybe where some things give mox the championship just off of seeing him I was like oh this guy is fucking he came to work and the work that he did throughout dynamite showed that mox is back yeah yeah and so I saw some people they were saying that the crowd didn't react well to mox but I also think that people weren't really sure what he was doing because not everybody knows that that song like it seemed like he starting something that looks like a heel turn for me and so it didn't it just seemed like the crowd didn't know how to react to him um but he he cut an interesting promo because he called out Darby and the pacing of this the way he came out it all looked very similar to the way that brian called him out did it not it looked very similar it's so much so that was like that had to be intentional and so it did all of that I mean even down to what he was wearing the fact that it was all playing no black pool combat club logos it looked I didn't think about that and so yeah yeah yeah he calls out Darby and in in in the entire time he's doing it I didn't really think about it until he finished and I was just like see this is what I had a problem with Darby losing at the pay review because you set him up with two title shots he loses his first title shot and now you're setting up something with mocks returning mocks I don't think he's beat mocks no if this is the set up a match I think mocks is going to be them so when are you then and also like he just lost to jack why are you calling out a fool that just lost you know what I mean like so well I mean because he has his title shot yeah that's what I'm saying but but so why are they just so you so you're gonna you're probably gonna you're probably gonna beat Darby again and this was to my point last week of why are you doing that and then you're gonna bring him in and then you have to potentially heat him up in time for grand slam which is next month it's coming up so I just don't understand why you did all of those things back to back to back which again I'll get more into that later but I thought that this was a great promo for him it was a lot of stuff that people had people speculating of course the line that and Shane from SmackDown but I didn't read it that way at all again if you read the undertones you won the championship but you are not assigned a w wrestler you don't work here anymore you won that belt in this moment of heroism for you but there are a lot of other guys that give their blood and sweat to this thing and they're signed here you don't work here and not just that the last time I was champion you sided with that guy that cost me the title yep that's exactly how I read it I read it as hey hey you you you this isn't your company anymore I know you just won that championship and you were on a crusade fighting carrying the flag but this isn't yours this is mine that that you got is mine of course the irony of this is where mocks was last time we saw him he was holding the belt for a company that he was not on a roster so yeah I just to get to it I think this is leading to a brine match yeah there's no way it's not there's too many hints here that this is leading to brine match I mean I thought that he was going to win the casino gauntlet because I thought that he was going to lead to a brine match but I guess they're going a different route and yeah totally this definitely leads into him and brine dancing for sure yeah I thought I thought this was a great opening segment I thought and I love it too because I've been waiting for the kind of breakup of the BCC or the some kind of they need something some kind of change some kind of something I think this is exactly what they needed yeah uh Sheldon I hope you're right that this is just to have this motivational talk with Darby but I don't think that that's what this is all I think it's leading to a match and I do think he's going to be Darby just because the rest of the the energy that he had in the show eventually like he links up with marina marina starts beating us some security guards up and I'm like well Darby's a babyface they're not gonna what are they gonna do like that they're not showing babyface motives and Darby's not gonna listen to what they're talking about absolutely um so yeah I thought this was a great opening segment this led us to uh hanger versus ece very very strong match ece does very strong strikes uh great opening match for this show um I watched that match after driving four hours back from bigger shot I was all tired but like that match got me hyped like I stayed up for hours after that because I was hyped watching that match this was they talked about like they should have sent some a w people over for the g1 sin hangman over cuz brother this was fighting against easy uh yeah very good match uh very very violent strikes great match that DDT on the apron where ece did a breakdance and move by getting DDT down the apron I was like this is crazy this is what I crazy matches all time now these guys were like really striking hangman was like oh you guys want that new japan shit watch this yeah um yeah and I would agree spiral this does not feel like it's just a title I think this is a statement I think the the thing that brian did with blackpool combat club and just what he created there I think this is all moxane like nah it feels like mox is like I don't like this what this has become I don't like what this has become and if anybody's gonna get you out of this company it's gonna be me so yeah but yeah we got the we got a great opening match ece took the loss to hangman to nobody surprise um I think that's what it's really it's good it's not like an old yellow type thing but it's like if anybody's gonna put you out to pasture it's gonna be me dog like I'm the one john moxley like I'm gonna do this for you for your family and for the company this story is about to get interested because mox is gonna get into this like nicolas cage bag and shit like this yeah uh very looking very much looking forward to where this goes um but yeah from the opening match we got the confrontation between swerve and hangman and boy buddy this was a great segment again if you wanted this match at the pay-per-view you were wrong I'm sorry but you were wrong the way they played this um having hangman lose the gauntlet match the way he did and we didn't even talk about the hangman and the geric stuff in that match which was also great um but having hangman lose that match the way he did and being so desperate because he's tried everything to get in this match he had nothing left and so he tried to come out there interfering the match and he immediately got carted off and the great thing about it was it's not like he got in a ring and touched anybody he was never physical with anybody they got him out of there before he can even do that but uh swerve just taking that moment to taunt him um it cost him because it gave it gave brian enough time to hit him with a move uh I thought that that was great moving I thought that there was a great storytelling I thought that was a great way to pay off all of the hangman and swerve stuff up to this point um but having a great story to tell too because initially when this concert when the confrontation happened on dynamite I was like initially I was like maybe hangman should have started beating his ass but I thought that him coming out during the main event and costing him a match played into why it didn't start physical because they're they're kind of on even ground at this point so now like that's why they got into what the match is going to lead into who boy hangman um talking to him it's worth telling them like look man you're still focused on me after all this time I've been champion um you you when said you're gonna win this the only loss you when said you're gonna win the gauntlet you lost and look at you you're still focused on me I am the champion it don't matter if I don't have that belt anymore I'm still gonna be recognized as champion and I will be champion again you have nothing you're trying to burn everything I have down bro your career is cooked mm-hmm bro fried this guy he's like I'm focused on main of hitting the match against brian dangelson trying to become the best wrestler in the world and you're focused on me you can't even get your yeah we get to this build to the steel cage match with I think this is smart because hang Matt tells him you never beat me you were never good enough to beat me you always need to help to beat me he was like okay let's lock everybody out then let's do the let's do the steel cage match what is your excuse gonna be when I beat you then first of all I'm tired of y'all second of all a very exciting element I think like again people were talking about they should have did this match at all in but the all in was an extra added element to get to this steel cage match added even more heat to it this promo super duper fire higher um swerve felt like again coming off of losing but still feeling like no I'm a fucking bad I don't care if I lost I'm still the champ around here I'm the man around here you still got to get through me because you still have yet to beat me and then you know it because you can't stop thinking about me exactly man great storytelling great segment but yeah having him completely cook him and then he sat there for a while and just walked out of the ring accepted the match but walked out of the ring I know great great build great segment and I think I like again I was playing into the maybe hangman should have gotten but this is actually gonna play more into the mind games that hangman's in in the turmoil that he's in because now he has to stew on swerve cooking him and like was this all worth it like is is even just winning this match all worth it bro him saying I pulled up to your house and I watched you get get out of your car and helped your pregnant wife down the stairs and he was like it looked good on you that looked like that's where you belong okay you don't belong in this ring with me go live in your purpose you are a dad get up out think this is a good way to continue to build this array of match I don't know when that match is gonna happen I assume all out I would think so that's what they're building too yeah we got the we got the backstage segment where Willow told us what the match is gonna be again it's gonna be the Chicago Street match uh street fight sorry uh that'll be dope they're gonna get it uh we got more Jericho stuff um the people the thing the people are running with is this arbery thing that did not look good well you haven't seen this uh so the end of the match is uh Roddy tapping out what Roddy's foot is clearly under the rope and arbery hops over his leg under the rope to call for the bell it looks so bad I'm like man I just really want to hope she didn't see it but it's when you look at it feels like there's no way she couldn't have seen it it's the way surprise when the match is happening it was a lot of big man match a lot of stuff going on maybe it was oh it looks it looks like oh there's something shoulders and not the feet I felt so bad for our because people are running with and I'm just like oh no um yeah but uh why are why is Jericho still in with Hook I thought we're I thought that was it like I don't know I assumed that this is a way to move on uh move on to Roddy and Hook but I didn't need this match we didn't need this multiple match man I just it was so fun it was so could have did something else with that match but yeah as Phil and I talked about previously MJF came out and uh had a very very great promo one of his best promos in a long long time honestly bro everything just him cutting a very focused promo like you mentioned earlier if I'm saying nah man you guys still are not there for me you still are not appreciating what I did for this company I have really great way to get into the ring so I've been I've been thinking this since I watched it and I don't know if other people picked up on this did you notice the way that it was framed the way he was yelling into the camera it mirrors the promo after double or nothing does it not yep the way that he called him a bump is the same coming like the signature thing it was but not just that the cadence he said it in and having Garcia be the guy that knocks him out and it's like enough the guy that has been doing the restore the feeling thing being the guy that stops him from cutting one of those kind of promos again I thought that was very smart I don't know if they did that intentional but that was very very smart I think so they're playing into some like murmurings we hear you know what I mean like yes there's been like there's a we hear that there's a sect of of AEW fans and wrestlers that are like like you don't represent restoring the feeling why are you trying to be the raw raw speech guy you know yeah so I thought that you know it was very fitting that he was doing another self-agronizing promo again and Garcia stopped a midway through started beating him down I thought the pull-apart was hot man Garcia's promo was so the fire that Garcia had so good on that promo I was like oh this guy is ready he's like you like just like and he's like I've been watching you dog like the only purpose I have in life is your downfall like there's nothing that I'm ever gonna do that's besides being on your ass and then Daniel Garcia lifestyle guy up takes the mic and throws it like the most perfect spiral right to MJF's he gets him with the mic from the ring and I don't know how he did I was like what a way to put an exclamation point on that promo man it's so good just getting into all the you think this is bad I'm gonna show you as bad as man incredible promo man man you think this is bad I was wheeled out of here in front of my mom dog you watch you let my mom watch that happen dog I'm gonna murder you it's over for you now Dan was ready for this that was sick great given a storyline stuff with the ring as well saying that he pawned the ring to get his flight to London just so he gets ruined his moment hell if the diamond ring is really gone mad I thought that that was a great story element to add that was that was fire but yeah this segment was great all of the stuff that they've done up to this point to build to all out I am all in I'm like bro this has been one of the best episodes after a pay-per-view I've seen in a long time fire yeah very very good episode yeah this did they stand it up they had ricochet take on Kyle Fletcher in the main event and somebody I saw someone to say why was this more of a Kyle Fletcher showcase than a ricochet showcase and I was like well that's that's kind of how ricochet works like his thing is like he's a giver and a taker you know like he's good on both sides of the fence and so it's like part of his charm is how great he sells how great he bumps how great he he fights back from underneath and I think Kyle Fletcher was like a great representation for that self that felt a little bit off in the match though yeah the mouth the match absolutely felt off yeah I'm not sure quite what it was it just it just it felt off it wasn't a bad match but it was just something about it that just didn't feel right like for this great show it's going to be the main event I'm like there was something like they didn't get kicked in the next gear like there's some kind of disconnection that happened there I don't know what it was yeah but it was fine I think I thought this was a good way to bring ricochet in um immediately put him with a guy that had to connect to Will Osprey uh Fletcher was getting his shit off on Twitter he was getting the speed jokes in which I knew were coming ricochet had to know what's coming um yeah this that I thought it was fine I I thought the the backstage international championship at all out Shritown Illinois um let's just go with what I said in the in the max segment and how smart the camera was because uh having the camera on ricochet the whole time and he's standing over Fletcher and so when elevated hit it doesn't cut to Osprey right away you hear his music and you just see ricochet's reaction then it cuts to Osprey and Osprey starts to say something before you can even get into anything because everybody knows right away this is the match we all we've been waiting brother say it so and so before you can even get into it pack comes out there like not just stop playing with me don't just agree I just creepily behind him yeah man great I thought that was a great way to hype up the pack match as well um and the pack match is happening you guys only the second what fucking will Osprey and pack are about to do only the second time that I know after these two men have wrestled the first time with the Rev Pro match right after pack left uh WWE that is also if you know your lore that is the match that Tony Khan was at that was the thing that put pack on his radar and eventually got packed signed and long way long way around long story less long probably what got Osprey eventually signed as well yes sir and the both these gentlemen are way better wrestlers than they were then so imagine what's about to happen at all out I can't believe this it still feels wild that that was so long ago right yeah I mean this was like I said this was right when pack left ww this was this was a minute um that was what 2017 oh it feels show that I want um I think I'll spray signed I somehow have manifested both of the Osprey matches that I wanted and saw them both in person this year um not going with of course I haven't seen this match in person yet but but you manifest this sort of an Osprey for like our whole podcast and then you watched it yeah probably gonna get to see this match in person as well um very excited for that uh we ended the show with uh well before that we got another Mike segment backstage and he introduced uh Raina Shafir and you know if you followed uh it was 2019 by the way somebody putting a chat it it was February 2019 was the Osprey impact match um yeah so if you've been following mocks for any point in his career he's spoken very highly about marina shafir uh I believe he has in his book um I've seen more than one interview where he's talked about how much he likes her how unique she is yeah pretty much every time marina's brought up around mocks he's like she's the best she's awesome I want to work with her yeah so I was not surprised to see her here um I thought it was cool that he finally got to work her into something and get her on tv because he was he was definitely the guy that made me give her a second look because I was kind of like I don't really get the appeal of marina but after I saw him keep praising I'm like okay what is it so when I watch her blood sports stuff and I watch some other stuff I'm like yeah I see where she could be and like yeah of course that you know mocks is gonna like that shit that's this type of shit yeah um so yeah I think this is the right call she's got a she's got a few things that uh she still needs to work on I'm sure people are going to continue to bring up some of those wonky promos but I think the in-ring work stuff is uh more well rounded than people would give her credit for and hey if you want to have a good lesson and crash course and you want to sit under a learning tree no pun intended of a great pro down down down down but sitting under and next to mocks yeah that's a great way to learn how to do a promo so yeah uh so yeah that was cool um again mocks to you some more stuff again the fact that he's recruiting people again leads into he's done with that black pool contest love stuff yeah he ain't talking about BCC he ain't having a BCC on he's just like yo we out here doing this yeah totally different lives but we got the main event segment uh Brian came down to the ring did his uh celebratory moment I'm very happy to be here uh there was a there was a quote from the scrum I think where he was saying this is my new favorite moment of my career and internet was being weird arguing about this guy's experience like how could you have a favorite moment of your career I'm like wait this it's his career I mean I'm sorry but he did this he it doesn't matter what he did previously he said this is if that's your if that's your favorite moment of his that's your favorite moment his his career and his experience is different uh so but he reiterated in this segment that this was his favorite moment of his career um I thought that was a nice moment dog he won the world title in front of hell of people had a great moment and his wife and kids celebrated with him and and he's got what did he say this is his favorite moment of all time he got the end on his terms I think also if you know Brian and working the guys he worked in that main event compared to the guy he worked in this main event I could see him feeling more fulfilled by helping to submit this guy because he didn't do that for Batista or Randy or those guys are already submitted he helped him he helped to submit swerve as a top guy as a main eventer and I think that he probably took more pride in that than anything else yep like Brian still would have lost this match if it if it meant like we need this for swerve he would have did that you know I I loved him at a press conference admitting that Tony dragged him kicking his screaming into this and he did basically saying out loud without saying I didn't want to be champion again like you guys you know I didn't want this but this guy forced me to do it we're like yeah we know Brian yes uh but yeah I thought you know all of his stuff was basically what you'd expect um I don't have much time left um I am not a contractor wrestling here I've got a neck injury um but I am not planning yeah I'm not leaving I'm not leaving I I do not plan to be a w world champion long but I am going to lose this belt and just I almost got a little emotional of him saying I am not going to leave this belt in the ring you got to be for this belt just giving his history um with having to retire and just how how the Wrestlemania 30 moment ended for him how the Icy title moment went ended for him with Wrestlemania um so that meant something it means a lot yeah that connected element of like it's not going to be the way that you guys have seen Brian Daniels Lee Brian Daniels sent previously retired it's going to be on my terms and somebody's going to have to beat me for this fucking belt I'm like yeah yeah I definitely got hyped it and so you know that then led to the open challenge now I have I have immediate issues with him coming out on the very next episode of Dynamite and instituting an open challenge because you just told us on a pay-per-view that you awarded somebody a title match through the gondit match and so I'm like wait a minute you now at this point done one two three matches to establish your number one contender you did it with the one hard cup you did it with the royal rampage then you did it again with the casino gauntlet so you now established two number one contenders but yet you still come into this show after the pay-per-view and say anybody back there can get a title match okay so why did you do those two other matches then why would what motivation as a wrestler that was in that casino gauntlet why was I in that casino gauntlet match if I could have just came on if I could have just showed up the next day and not been in that match and just answered the open challenge that I thought that that immediately made that match feel pointless and I get what you're doing with it because you're treating the contract as a cash-in thing so I knew right away what the character Christian is he's not going to cash it in right away but again when you do it right after the match it's like okay what was the point but still like the still in the same point that you're making Darby still has a title match why didn't he come out and get the title match you know and that's again you gave him the loss at the pay-per-view so you couldn't do that at that point you basically you basically created ways to not use the number one contenders that you already set up all right so now we have the open challenge uh we get the jack segment on the screen and I thought what jack said was good I thought the promo itself was good I've enjoyed his promo work a lot more since he's come back from new Japan I think that his time away um he drastically improved as a talker um I think his motives of saying like yeah I mean you know I beat this guy beat this guy I'm the future of this company blah blah blah and then getting to the end of it and giving the very clever line of your future is behind you and it's him standing behind and waiting to attack him um listen I get it because as I said earlier I like Jack um and I get what you you're gonna do in Chicago I think he's gonna get a good reaction um I hope did he get a good reaction because the reaction Wednesday was not good when they when they shot up to him on the screen and like yeah nothing happened and I was like okay this is okay and so he's doing the promo I'm like I like the promo and then he's like look behind you I hope when he said look behind you that it was gonna be somebody that they reacted to but then it was just him again and they didn't react again and I was like yeah it did not create a great reaction and I said this at the time on Twitter and people were like well nothing got a reaction that is not true that's right and I'm not gonna let you rewrite this because no that hey minutes were segment got a great reaction Max Max and Dan got a great reaction dog five minutes before this when Brian said I'm not fucking leaving got a reaction yes all of this stuff with Mariah even when she came out with the belt she was getting reaction this was night and day compared to all of those things yeah and I just don't think you can go okay well the crowd wasn't good takes cues the fact that this didn't feel like something that that crowd was that invested in that's it and so and again I like Jack I just want you guys I want to keep reiterating this because for some reason people really think I don't like this guy I do like Jack a lot I just don't feel like this was the right fight for him especially when like I said you've already set up this cumbersome world title picture where you have two number one contenders and then you further mess make it messy by adding an established champion to this by his account he so I'm like all right you're trying to get the reactions from Jack doesn't it serve that same purpose if he just defends the belt that he has at that pay per view it was like he could have just had a TNT championship match and still get that desired reaction so yeah I just didn't I just felt like this was kind of needlessly convoluted I'm just like if we got Brian keeps telling us he doesn't have a lot of time here if there's like five more Brian matches like Jack's not one of them I'm sorry I like Jack a lot but he's not one of them but at the end this was kind of my point because I'm like yo again I like Jack and I do think this match is going to be good because of course the color the level of talent in this because and I hope people aren't misrepresenting what I'm saying or no mistaking it to say that he's not the right choice because he can't have a good match with Brian it's Brian daneelson like of course he's going to have a good match with him and Jack and Jack is a good wrestler but if you're telling me right now Brian has a handful of matches before wrestling dream in October Jack is not one of the matches Jack's not the one if I'm looking in the locker room Jack's not on that list I like Jack a lot he could fucking work but like Nigel you know the cash the the cash the Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel Nigel's back there dog why are we doing Nigel's back there Orange Cassidy I said on on Twitter there's a bunch more people that I wanted in the Darby match so like I said I did not expect people to get this upset about me saying like I don't get this oh Chicago Fills they're all the same this this I didn't think this was the right call and I think the reaction to it kind of proved they wasn't right call and so it just afterwards even when he was holding the belt I was holding both belts up I was just like I don't get why we're doing this and and especially like I said so it just feels like you're booking on to this backwards because it's like all right you gave Jack a win over Darby who had the world title match to give Jack a match at the pay-per-view to lose and also not defend this championship that should be being defended on the show why are you doing that and then again like I said the other guys that you have set up as the number one contender you're now moving him into this mocks thing yep and if all this is just for Christian to pick up the bones I'm really like all right we kept maybe I've done something different I this was just like I said this was just way more cumbersome than it needed to be I feel like if you were going to do all of this then set up the guy that you wanted to get that match in the gauntlet match and just get straight to it at all and all of this oh we needed the open challenge to set up a contender you didn't you had a match fucking four days ago to set up contender you did it and so I just I just thought none of it I thought this didn't make sense people trying to tell me okay well uh Jack pinned Brian earlier this year uh champion and he pinned Darby at the pay-per-view no that still doesn't make this make sense like this still is very unnecessary yeah especially when you're telling me it's an open challenge why does any of that matter if it's an open challenge yeah none of the story that you're telling me matters if the story the open challenge eliminates all that it doesn't matter about story anybody could come out that anybody could come out we like the open challenge concept but this isn't the time to do it for the world championship I just kind of hate that I just hate all the ways that they establish number one contenders they have to figure out a different way to do this this like all right the the match happened at the pay-per-view let's have a four away and whoever wins like no we could need to tell these stories a different way yeah I I just didn't understand this it and and again I'm sure the match will be good of course i just i just didn't really understand why we did this why did we do all this stuff leading to this it just made it feel like the stuff that you did before it was kind of pointless right and and look if you are fine with this if you like this decision if you think all of those you know you know explanations make this make sense great I still think it's I still think it's needlessly convoluted I don't know if they're like trying to tell stories in advance is biting them in the ass or something but like there's a couple of steps that didn't need to happen to get here you know and so the other part about this is at some point during this year I was sitting around like hey this elite thing is not really doing what I want when they initially started it was just the bucks coming back and they're doing evp thing like I had the potential to turn it to something but I feel like it really turned around when they added okada and then they added jack and I was like okay we're on to something then they did the uh the segment was Tony uh and I was like okay we got something let's let's let's get to it and you had something strong building into the under candy arena match I feel like it cooled some um after the blood and gut to match yeah I feel like it hasn't really gotten that excitement back and now you have four guys that aren't defending their belts and I know I know what you guys are gonna tell me hills don't want to defend their belts I do but those four guys I want to see some wrestle man and and so it's just like it it just adds to my my annoyance this like all right jack has a belt why doesn't he just defend his belt at that at that pay-per-view it doesn't feel like the bucks are defending their belts at that pay-per-view we don't have a okada match in health why doesn't jack just defend his belt yep I don't understand that this is what gets frustrating about AEW because there is this um thing of like they have too many championships like they do have too many they do have a lot of championships but they never defend them in the spots that they need to defend defend them in they always say this feels like an ROH moment feel it's like the win the ROH championship and then they put you on AEW TV to never be seen again he's a TNT championship but he's getting a title match for the world title and not defending the TNT championship so it's like well what about the TNT championship that's getting that's falling to the wayside here yes and again I know people are gonna who their heels he's doing it because he's agreeing to heal yes thank you for explaining heal motivations to me and why a character would do that but as a as a television show and like I said you're investing you're telling me to invest in two other guys that one title matches that doesn't make sense it doesn't and so I told I told Tony that I was playing my reasoning because he asked me on Twitter um why did I think Orange Cassidy was a better choice if you're going to do the Open Challenge because I think it goes full circle with what you did last year at All Out because Orange Cassidy may have been at that pay-per-view again to John Moxley who is looking like you're going to the feud with later in this year and the whole point of that thing was at the end of his his title run as TNT champion he had proven itself but the last big thing to do with beat Mox and he made himself into a main event guy in some ways as sorry not TNT title in an national title but he never made that jump after that to the world title picture because he got distracted by all of the best friends breakup stuff he started losing all of his friends so I thought this was the moment to have him come out and open that as an open challenge and cut this great promo of like look man I was right there last year with Mox I couldn't get over that finish line I'm going to do it this year at All Out the same place I lost to Mox I am going to beat you I am going to retire you and I am going to become a world champion that makes all the sense in the world yeah if he would have came down and been like I did all that I did that long run as international champion I established myself and people still say that I can't do this the last thing I'll do for you is beat who they say is the best technical wrestler in the world Brian Danielson in this career take his championship and show them that I actually am that guy that would have been a great story yes I think it would have made much more sense than this and like yeah the connection that orange has to All Out the connect he's already super over it would make sense for him to get a title shot like yeah it very similar to new Japan booking of them doing a year to year thing this would have made much more sense than that Jack match damn I'm sorry guys and again I like Jack that's so y'all know I like Jack but I don't think this makes sense guys it does sorry I'm sorry and and again that's not a personal Jack thing that's not a Jack doesn't belong Jack is great and I think he will work a good match but I just I'm not invested in this at all sorry it's crazy like what a year does last year this was at home after All Out and now he's getting a title match so I guess you know maybe it's a reward for a year of not not not fucking it up again this year yeah and I'm sure some people will be like are you upset that they just didn't do what you wanted them to do it's not that it's just that I didn't think this was the right call and I didn't think that it got a great reaction because I didn't feel like that crowd was really invested either and hey I could have been wrong why don't Cassidy could have came out and cut that problem and maybe nobody would have cared I don't know but to me I do think that's a better story yeah I just think that's regardless of who even if it being Jack I think the whole open challenge thing to kind of negate the things that you did in the last couple months is the real big problem here yes so and again you're setting up a guy that is number one contender and you're now moving him on to something that doesn't seem like it's leading in that direction and you also have a guy that has a contract they should have just made that Royal Rampage match up title match for the TNT Championship this would have curbed the story baby I wondered that at the time why did you give Darby two title shots what was the point of that and now I'm now confused because now you are in a corner with it and this was my concern with him losing because I'm like now you've awarded him two title shots you have to book yourself out of the corner yeah the worst thing a wrestling promotion can do is try to book themselves out of a corner and again somebody's gonna fall to the wayside and that's Darby Allen maybe and again people will misrepresent my point and act like oh you're just wanting you're just doing this look man I love this company I think that I think that this entire episode on the whole was great I even like the execution of the stuff in the main event even though it wasn't for me um very good episode but this was not for me sorry man the jack thing wasn't that's not the match I would have went with again the match is gonna be great it's fucking Brian Daniels and he only has a couple more of these he's gonna do it he's gonna bring all the elements it'll be Chicago they're an amazing wrestling town everything will work but it just could have been a different way correct because you know people are gonna after the match is amazing blood sweet food this is one it's like yeah and just so you guys opinion um on the music one i do think in some ways uh it did shift things but i do think that that was starting at the beginning of the year it feels like it was kind of some energy coming out of hip-hop 50 where people were like i want to put out some good music i want to challenge myself like it doesn't make sense that you were getting all this questions about hip-hop like why isn't it charting last year around his 50th anniversary and i think more people took that on as a challenge i couldn't be just making it up but that's just how it seemed you're not making that up though you hit that shit right on the head dude i think there was an energy around hip-hop 50 of like okay what are we gonna do moving forward you guys like what's what like how are we gonna navigate this we got ai we got these young rappers that are doing some different stuff we got all these different elements we got to like get back to it and i think like that show that they did at yankee stadium and all those everybody all the rappers that came out of that talking about like that was so amazing i watched my favorite rapper rap i lived in that moment like i want to reiterate that feeling again and then we got albums like common and peat rock we got all these like amazing kind of tributes to to our culture and i think yeah fills hit it right on the head like that there was a conscious effort made to to do something and bring the buzz back to hip-hop because we deserve it and we run this shit and so i think that's what it was yeah um yeah it's been a great year for hip-hop we've got several great albums um there's too many at this point like a new dope album comes out like them i don't have time i keep saying if it's album it's one of my favorite albums this year uh the common album the loopy album i still haven't like so i haven't listened to Sean album i'm gonna list that didn't do so curry just drop album i think did it drop already i know he wasn't promotion i think he did um but i haven't gotten it today i haven't even really lived with that bode album that he just dropped that long either uh man you got Larry june it's just a lot i'm still playing the loop a say on that thing that's for saying yeah you just got you probably just got by the paper view it's probably either going to be on fight or uh new japan they do the deputy things that's right strong shot by it yeah uh but man they've got pretty good tag team match on the pre-show trisha door and viva van taking on uh empress next is venus that's the team of ministura kawa and hanako that should be a good match sure that's kind of bang uh she's got uh tomahiro ici and haroshi tana hashi taking going to grizzle grizzle young veterans and tmdk uh for a number one contender to match for the strong open weight tag team championship awesome uh you also got a six-man match kevin night raki remeiro yoshi hashi and uh the bullet club war dogs that david sinley clark kana and drila monone this match is uh i'm not selling you this sounds like some heat dog what i'm saying i'm like that this car is crazy uh you've got dirty work uh the team of fritt rosser and tom waller taking on the west coast wrecking crew um got zach saber jr uh your g1 climax winner in action taking on t-time wow wow wow tethi unitedo will be taking on uh tjp uh the new japan strong open weight tag champions tmdk mikey nickels and shane hace will be taking on etchissero and virus hey bro so this car this car sounds like some meat odd what the fuck but uh you also have uh um mousta for alie taking on romu takahashi gay kid tell me gay kid uh taking on black car lio rush and as i said the main event roseity's money taking on momo matana day yeah this you know this is one of the best knee japan strong cards i maybe they've ever had this is crazy yeah that of course you can uh you can order that match i believe it's on new japan world uh sometimes they put it on fight too i don't know if they still do but uh you could definitely buy it on new japan world this car sounds like heat uh i believe kate is going to that show tonight nice that is why i will be on tonight co-hosting the smackdown post should have been on that card but they put on smackdown instead yes um yeah i'm kind of surprised we're not getting Roman on this card kind of interesting having him come back for summer slam it did not be done in next pay-per-view um but Roman just do not be going to these overseas shows dude he's like i'm not pulling up interesting but that's also why i'm like you can't discount Cody as champion and him being a big major draw at these shows man he's there's and Cody's at every one of them he's doing all the house shows he's doing everything and that's why i'm like you that's why you need him as champion yep exactly why because Cody's gonna hit every day he's gonna be on tv he's gonna be off tv like he's gonna be everywhere yes uh see we got a mix tag match the terror twins uh damian priest and rear ripply taking on judgment day dirty dominic and live more again i feel like this is just a way to give the terror twins a big win give them a spot on this card and probably kick the can down the road for a live versus rear to another paper yeah because the terror twins are super duper over right now so super over definitely need a spot on this card when do you think they're gonna do this uh women's title match no mercy i'm not no mercy uh what's the damn show called bad blood yes man that's what i'm assuming bad blood is at the beginning of october so i'm assuming they're just going to kick it down the road for another month i also think that's probably where we're going to get the next roman match and cody is on all the promotion for it so i assume they gotta have a cody match on the line maybe it would be cody roman maybe it would be cody ordon i don't know we'll see we'll see these also before we get off of it is rear gonna beat her or is live gonna continue as champion for the rest of the year i think by the next match i think i said put that belt on ria she's too hot she's so hot dog you gotta put the belt on her and she is over like rover i think they i think it was wise to not immediately just have her beat live and take all of the life out of this feud even though i really don't care if it keeps going but you need ria representing as the fucking face real ria i feel like we'll be champion vice survivor series yeah like this is her division she's fucking at the head of it we need to be having her in big matches in big feud not saying live isn't a big match in a big feud but like ria's the one that needs to be represented yeah i feel like you need to establish the next set of champions um by november because that's possibly where big charlotte's coming back so i would hope that you're you know ready to go i i would assume you're gonna be off to the races with whatever you're doing with tiffany back by then as well and i mean nothing i've been enjoying the tiffany naya stuff with smackdown yeah um see we got the unholy union uh which is which is which is albafire and isle dana taking on bianca belair and jay carkill um oh they made the main show good for them yeah i think the build for this has been kind of wonky i thought that triple threat match they had on smackdown was a lot of fun though um the hot tag for jade in it um just a lot of the building they didn't match way better than that singles match they tried to give us with uh nay homie versus blare uh i think uh having them work as a trio worked a lot better i did but yeah i i definitely think everything i was saying about the reimatch this was them kicking that's match down the road to give them some semblance of a reign with this belt but we know what time it is they about to put those belts back on bianca and jay facts big chronic moment for the the ladies though at the last show so yeah i really i really love that they gave them that moment um just with everything that was going on at that time um yeah very well deserved moment in their home country yeah uh but yeah i do think they will lose here you know we gotta see on punk taking on drew mac and tire in a strap match i am gonna make the boat prediction that this match is going to deliver yeah and i say that this is a bold prediction because i was not high on the summer slam match but i do think that this match with the stipulation is going to be the better match um now if this match don't hit boy we're gonna we're gonna be in some nasty discourse buddy um like only um seeing a punk is an old school fucking wrestling guy and this match plays into a strength so it's gonna it's gonna be hard to not hit honestly if they only way it's not gonna hit if they focus in on bracelet shit again but like this one seems pretty like softball law bro the fucking bracelet there don't be nothing but yeah i'm with you dog like they gotta this is some kind of like because they could continue the feud essentially if they knock it out of the park but if it's a good again they got it yeah and they're doing that four corners gimmick like they do in some chain matches where you got to touch all the corners and oh i hate that so we'll see and that's why i said bold prediction because i i could see this being a bit wonky as well but i i do think that punk's gonna get his win back i don't think they're done with this shoot i do think there will be a third match um since Seth isn't gonna play a part right he's at home i don't think Seth will be back for a minute so and i think when Seth immediately gets back they're probably gonna give him the brontin match good okay so as long as they don't add any dumbsters shenanigans to this this could be okay i don't i if we get back to the wrong stuff i don't think it's gonna be until wrestling any season good if i had to guess and they got time they got time to do other things you know lord willing hopefully everybody stays healthy they could do get back to the do a stare down at the royal rumble and we're right back to it you know yeah we've got two world title matches Gunther will be taking on Randy Orton for the world heavyweight championship this is built off of the king of the ring match of course where boy Randy Orton's shoulder was off the mat but he still got counted to three so he technically should be your king of the ring and he should have been getting a title shot but instead he is coming back to get his revenge on a guy that isn't even on the brandities on it but it works for some reason we're just gonna go with it i mean nobody's mad at Orton getting the title match like that that fits i i i think it's fine because i think it builds into the larger story that they're telling with Cody i think he's going over there confident and feeling like no i'm gonna beat this guy in the way he talks he's uh made subtle hints at legacy and all these other things and i think that that's very intentional but i think he's gonna lose definitively here i think that Gunther is going to beat this guy down and he's gonna send him back to smackdown just desperate enough to turn on his friend like they're teasing that the other guy's gonna do yep yep yep it feels like this is what really pushes Orton over the edge when Gunther drags his ass through Berlin yes um i don't know which of these matches are gonna be an event but the last match we have is yeah i don't know last matches Cody Rose versus Kevin Owens but undisputed WWE Championship um i did an article for Bleacher Report for today in defense of Cody Rose's current title reign yep and yeah i think the people that are down on it are being a bit unfair to it because i think it's been a good reign i think the matches that have hit have been good um i think the AJ few has been good and i strongly disagree with people that are like the big difference here is that there was a story of your romance brain and there is no story of Cody's reign there is a story to Cody's reign it's just not as dramatic it's not as pronounced it's not all the layers and long-term stuff that you were getting from the bloodline stuff it's just a different approach it's a more simplistic approach but they're also layers because uh the story here and this could be my head cannon but the story here is that um all this time him achieving his goal of winning the world title was to achieve something that his dad did not do and so once you have it what does it mean then that's the story and yep the story here is might be Lord of knows the story is what is your legacy as champion you got it you went away for six years and build yourself up into this new guy so who does it make sense for you to beat the first time your champion the guy that created the blueprint for your run outside of wwe and AJ Styles you definitively beat him then you link to a guy that also has ties to ROH and all these things but not just that the biggest opponent for bloodline throughout the entire four years has been Kevin Owens and so you got to think at some point Kevin Owens thought he was done with this he had moved on but he keep getting himself back in the line of fire on Cody's behalf and so that made Cody feel guilty like I got to give this guy something I got to give him a title shot he deserves it but you're inadvertently opening a can of words with this guy because you don't know if you can trust this guy yep and you're setting this up to be this guy that you don't know if you can trust meanwhile the guy that you have set on record inspire you to do all of these things the guy that you said you watched main event Wrestlemania the guy that mentored you in legacy that's the guy that's gonna turn on you boom yeah I think it's just like people aren't it's not as dramatic as the bloodline story is but like they're telling a lot of stories with Cody and I think another story that they're telling is like we haven't just seen a old school white meat baby face world champion in a long time and they're just going head on with that yeah so I do think by blood and by bad blood is probably gonna be the ordinary I actually wouldn't be surprised if they stretch it out longer I it all depends we're now in the we're now in speculation mode of are we getting a rock match again and in some ways I think that that kind of hurt Cody because I think everything in between that it's like okay well when it's rock coming back are we getting a rock match and it kind of feels makes everything around it feels less important I feel the same way about the bloodline stuff in some ways that it's still it's still treated like the main storyline of that brand and they wouldn't do that to Roman and over there I even feel like for the bloodline guys like we're just waiting Roman's gonna drag all you guys to get to the rock you know what I mean like it's again just to get to the rock so yeah yeah I think it's clear we're probably getting the wargames match with the bloodline yeah I think that's pretty obvious at this point so you think they're still trying to get to Roman and Rock at rimp mania it seems like they might be trying to do Cody Rock based off of the raw after mania maybe I'm wrong I don't know but we'll see I think the immediate goal is probably to get to the already match at this point they're laying some pretty heavy-headed hints that that's what I just think that's going to be kind of interesting if Orden gets to title matches back to back and one of them he doesn't like Roman like Gunther's gonna give it to him like yeah want to get two shots back to back but the story that they're going to tell of pushing Orton over to being uh uh the heel crazy Orton again essentially it's two different matches so I he's I he's going to absolutely turn heel to get it and I think he's gonna feel a way that Cody just offered Owens right title match and not him I had to go over to raw to get a match because you were challenging Owens yeah totally and still playing this game with bloodline mhm still playing with bloodline even though we know even though Owens continuously told you to get away from them even though I told you don't fuck with them you're still doing that yeah yes um but yeah I do think that Cody's gonna retain here I do think this is gonna be a good match because both of these guys are great wrestlers um but I just don't see a world where Kevin Owens wins I would love what Kevin Owens world title um reign so boy I would love it but it I just don't see that no and then another just playing into like Cody's the good guy of course he would give his friend a title match and is Kevin Owens gonna get pushed over the edge in the match another element we don't know yeah I think Cody's winning this you guys I think there's gonna be teases but I don't think he's gonna turn if I had to guess mm-hmm I'm telling you guys don't be surprised if he aligns himself with Sammy
