They walked among us, welcome everybody, my name is Noel Joshua Halle. This is the unexpected cosmology and I'm going to be doing something a little bit different tonight. I'm going to be reading from this book right here, Giants in America. And what this is is it's just a series of newspaper clippings from the 1800s. Now I could very well just sit here and tell you that there are numerous dozens, hundreds of people of newspaper articles from the 1800s that all talk about these giants that are being dug out of the earth in America. But I personally have a thirst for knowledge and I know you do too in this episode. This video is geared towards those of you who would like to hear from the horse's mouth really from the newspapers that described this event and it's bizarre how public this knowledge really truly was, I mean this was a table talk conversation, these massive giants that were being dug up and then something happened and it got scrubbed. Now this is of course something that I personally put out. This is my collection. I'll be reading from my collection of stories, newspaper stories and you can see it's kind of thin but this is just pure like an open up for you which is just straight accounts. And it's not the first that I've put out, there's a couple of others that I've put out like right here the earth not a globe review, volume one, earth not a globe review volume two. And these of course were from the 1890s in England, really London based, the Zetetic Society and going through their articles and publishing it for you guys. Before we get going tonight, I do want to bring up the sponsor for tonight's video is Hebrew Match. For those of you who are looking for your help meat or looking for a help meat to help you walk out the father's commands, Hebrew Match.com just launched, give it a try, it's free to sign up. And what else did I want to go over? Oh, this is where you can pick it up in the store. This is what we're going through tonight, Giants in America, there will be a link under this video for you to go check it out. And that's that's it. All right, Giants in America, newspapers of our own volume one, why do I call this volume one because the well, hopefully there'll be a volume two, not dealing with giants and that one volume two. It takes me a long time to track down all these newspaper clippings and I could always use investigative help of course, but volume two will be dealing with cryptids, cryptids in America, old newspaper articles, welcome everybody that's filing in, hope you guys enjoy this tonight. And some of you do already have a copy of this book, you can always read along. That's what I'm going to be doing tonight, very little commentary. So there's a few things that you want to look for when we get to the table of contents first and could see that we're clearly not going to get through it all tonight, maybe half of it, not really sure. I try to do the fewest repeat stories as possible. There are a few in here from different newspapers kind of reporting on the same thing. Some of these stories you would get dozens of different newspapers reporting on them and obviously that would be repetitive to do over and over again. There are a few stories in here that do derive from American reports reporting on digs in Europe and you're also going to find in here, there's going to be a mix of what I believe are legitimate digs and those that are hoaxers and of course the hoax showing up in order to discredit what was happening. So I think that that in itself is a very important part of the tale to include both sides to get a fuller picture of what was going on. So you can see here a lot of different stories, obviously not going to get to them all tonight. Let's start with the quote from Abraham Lincoln. And this is, I believe it was at Niagara Falls or in the whereabouts when he said this, the eyes of that species of extinct giant whose bones fill the mounds of America have gazed on Niagara as ours do now. One of the reasons why this is such a bizarre quote is that, well, number one, it seemed to me that from the newspapers that we have that the digging up a giant bones really didn't take off until right after the Civil War when he was quote unquote dead. And secondly, there was, you'll see tonight, there was a massive dig at Niagara where they found dozens of many, many giant bones and that was like several years after he gave the speech. So I don't know what's going on there. I'll let you decide. Of course, when it comes to my videos, you're going to have to put up with me taking some drinks of coffee. Here we go. Hope I'm coming in loud and clear. Hopefully everyone can hear me. And of course, don't forget to like and subscribe if you haven't already as Miss Pamela has put here. No one's in traditions, Polynesia in January 2nd, 1841. On the eastern shore of Pascagoula Bay and Jackson County, Mississippi, near its mouth, are the ruins of an ancient fortification built apparently many centuries ago. It appears to have been constructed chiefly of seashells within this ruin. Several feet below the surface have been found charred coals and fragments of a peculiar kind of earthenware together with many human bodies. Among them were discovered parts of a human skeleton of gigantic proportions. The upper part of the skull was said to be sufficiently large to fit loosely over the largest modern heads. I also need to point out that these will be going into a chronological order by publication date. A giant exhumed Cleveland Herald September 10th, 1845. We are informed on the most reliable authority that a person in Franklin County, Tennessee was digging a well a few weeks since found a human skeleton at the depth of 50 feet which measures 18 feet in length. The immense frame was entire with an unimportant exception in one of the extremities. It has been visited by several of the principal members of the medical faculty in Nashville and pronounced unequivocally by all the skeleton of a huge man. The bone of the thigh measured five feet and it was computed that the heights of the living man making the proper allowance for muscles must have been at least 20 feet. The finder had been offered $8,000 for it but had determined not to sell at any price until first exhibiting it for 12 months. He is now having the different parts wired together for this purpose. These unwritten records of the men and animals of other ages that are from time to time dug out of the bowels of the earth put conjecture to confusion and almost surpass imagination itself, Madison Banner. A story of a giant Jefferson Republic October 2nd, 1845. An exhuming of late the remains of so many wonderfully large animals unknown to the present age, it has been supposed that the ancient race of men must have been correspondingly large. Now, I said I wouldn't be commenting much but this is interesting because Darwinian evolution would not take off yet. We're at least two decades away from Charles Darwin's expedition, another three years from it really taking off. Of course, when it showed up, it was a full head-on collision with a steam engine. It's interesting here that they're talking about how well they're starting to discover these massive bones, there was some sort of reset event that happened not long before this and they're starting to discover these ancient, large animals and they're just assuming that, well, maybe men were large as well and lo and behold, defining them. Now this whole point of view had to change with evolution because man had to evolve from something small to our current height. We could not de-evolve from something massively huge to smaller and that's part of the reason why this all had to go away. At length we have something to sustain the doctrine, the Madison Banner states on the most reliable authority that a person in Franklin County, Tennessee, this is of course a repeated story, while digging a well a few weeks since found a human skeleton at the depth of 50 feet, which measures 18 feet in length, this is king-og size. The immense frame was entire with an unimportant exception in one of the legs. It has been visited by several of the principal members of the medical faculty in Nashville and pronounced unequivocally by all the skills of a huge man. The bone of the thigh measured five feet and it was computed that the heights of the living man making the proper allowance for muscles must have been at least 20 feet. The finder has been offered $8,000 for it but had determined not to sell it at any price until exhibiting it for 12 months. $8,000 had to be a lot of money back then. He is now having the different parts wired together for this purpose. These unwritten records of the men and animals of other ages that are often from time to time dug out of the bowels of the earth put conjecture to confusion and almost surpassed imagination itself. Isn't that interesting how you're seeing one newspaper? They were doing it back then. Today they do it just every day, 24/7, just copy and paste other articles until they all sound the same. We just saw that just now. We just saw that it was a copy and paste from one newspaper to another. History informs us that the emperor at maximum was 8 feet 6 inches in height and the reign of Claudius the man was brought from Arabian 9 feet 9 inches tall. John Middleton of Lincolnshire, England was 9 feet 3 inches and caught the Irish giant 8 feet 7 inches but our American skeleton if we have really found such a one will throw all other giants in the shade. Giant Bones, Western Weekly Review, November 11th, 1845. There have been recently dug up in Williamson County, Tennessee 7 miles from Franklin the bones of a giant and no mistake. We have conversed with an intelligent and enterprising gentleman of our city who has seen examine and purchase an interest in the skeleton from him who he derived the following facts. A Mr. Shumate was born for water near his residence upon a hell of considerable extents and imminence situated in a rocky mountainous section country where the bones were discovered about 60 feet beneath the surface. They were immediately exhumed and were found embedded in a strat of the hardest kind of clay which had apparently filled an extinction of the skeleton with that of the recumbents making an angle of the horizon. The bones are not at all petrified as in the case with most of the skeleton monsters of animals which have been discovered in our country but are nevertheless in the most perfect state of preservation and weigh in the aggregate about 1500 pounds. No doubt rest in the minds of any who have seen or examined them that these bones belong to the genius homo. All the larger in characteristic bones are entire in the school, arms and thigh bones, knee pans, shoulder sockets and collar bones remove all skepticism as to their humanity. The whole skeleton we are informed is about 18 feet high and must have stood full 19 feet in his stockings if he wore any. The bones of the thigh and leg measure 6 feet 6 inches so that our friend the general could have marched erect in full military costume between the giant's legs. The skull is described as being about two to three the size of a flower barrel and capable of holding in its cavities near two bushels. A coffee cup of good size could be put into the eye sockets and the jaw tooth which are all perfect even to the animal would weigh from three one half to six pounds. Some of the smaller ones which were loose have been weighed. The front teeth are missing well apparently the whole giant skeleton is missing now but I digress. These teeth bear the evidence of extreme age from their cavities or apparent diminution from use in wearing away. An imminent physician and anatomist properly assisted is engaged in having the skeleton put together and the small deficiency supply. We are further informed by our fellow citizen who has purchased an interest of one fourth in this interesting and wonderful curiosity that it will be ready for exhibition in about one month's time when it will start on its tour through the civilized world and proceeding from New Orleans will shortly be among us here. Our fellow townsman keeps the price he paid for his interest a secret but says that 50,000 has been offered and refused for the whole of this curiosity so the price has clearly gone up in the time that this newspaper article was written. The giant skeleton New York Herald December 12, 1845. The skeleton discovered in Williamson County in this state and supposed to be that of the human being has frequently been referred to within a few days past in the House of Representatives. Notwithstanding the description given of it as Walter von Twiller would say, we have our doubts about the matter. This skeleton was found about 60 feet beneath the surface of the earth embedded in the stratum of the hardest kind of claim. The bones are said to be in a perfect state of preservation and weigh in the aggregate 1500 pounds. All the large and characteristic bones are entire and the skull, arms and thigh bones, knee pans, shoulder sockets and collar bones remove all doubts. And the animal to whom they belonged has been decided to belong to the genius Homo. This gentleman when he walked the earth was about 18 feet high and when clothed and flesh must have weighed not less than 3,000 pounds. See every single newspaper article I read even though it's the same giant we're going through we get little bits of different description, they're kind of interesting. I think that was the first we got his weight. The bones of the thigh and leg measure six feet six inches. There's that science number for you. His skull is said to be about two thirds the size of a flower barrel incapable of holding in its cavities near two bushels. He must have had a good quality quantity of brains and if intellect being proportioned to the size of the brain, he must possess extraordinary intellectual powers. The description further states that a coffee cup of good size could be put in the eye sockets. The jaw teeth weight from eight and one half to six pounds. It is stated that an imminent physician and not to miss is engaged in putting the skeleton together and that it will shortly be ready for public exhibition, Nashville Orthopolitan. Moving on, the gigantic fossil man according to American Journal Science March 1846 article 12 remarks on some fossil bones recently brought to New Orleans from Tennessee and from Texas by William M. Carpenter M.D. professor in the medical of Louisiana. If I'm not mistaken, I think this is the same giant we're still talking about. Fossils from Tennessee, the gigantic fossil man being the skeleton of a young mastodon. Much interest has been recently excited by the announcement of the discovering Tennessee of the remains of a man 18 feet high. The papers teamed with accounts of the prodigy and public confidence was secured by the assertion that the distinguished physicians of the West had testified that they were human remains. About the last of December, these remains reached this city and on the 1st of January, I was requested by distinguished surgeon here to go with him on the invitation of the proprietor to examine them and give an opinion. They had been erected in a high room, the skeleton was sustained in its erect position by a large upright beam of timber. At a glance, it was apparent that it was nothing more than the skeleton of a young mastodon, one of Godman's titra colodons with sockets for four tusks. The bones of the leg and ankles were complete, the metatarsal bones wanting. Most of the vertebrate prey were present, the ribs mostly of wood. The pelvic arrangement was entirely of wood, this scapulae were present but somewhat broken and were ragged on with a most human-like elevation. Pieces of ribs supplying the want of clavicles. The OCS parts of the head were portions, nearly completed the upper and lower jaws. Some of the molars were quite complete of the tusk, only one little stump remained, but the four alveoli of the upper jaw had large, insisive looking wooden teeth fitted into them, and the lower jaws supplied to correspond. The cranium was entirely wanting from the lower margin of the orbits back, but a raw high cranium was fitted to which was much more becoming to the animal in his new capacity than the old one would have been. The artificial construction was principally in the pelvis and head and take it as thus built up with its half-human, half-beast-like look and its great hooked, insisive teeth. It certainly must have conveyed to the ignorant spectator a most horrible idea of a hideous, diabological giant, of which he no doubt dreamed for months. To one informed in such matters it really presented a most ludicrous figure. So you notice what's happening now. The person who had it for exhibition was honest, I believe, and his convictions as to its being the remains of a man, having been confirmed in them by numerous physicians, whose certifications he had in his possession, and having asked to receive my opinion, he determined to box it up never to be exhibited again as the remains of a human being. So isn't that interesting? So this guy finds this incredible 18, 19-foot skeleton that is being deemed by multiple physicians as human. They're all saying this is a human skeleton, and then the scientists come in and this case it is the American Journal of Science, and they come in and it's not just that they claim that they prove him wrong, it mysteriously goes away. He boxes the thing up. I mean if he had misidentified it, it was still a magnificent find that was worth something. It would have been worth money if what they were saying is true. They're just claiming it's a giant like a kind of elephant creature masted on, kind of a Cyclops creature, you know how it goes. Moving on. So that's the end of that one right there. I don't think we're going to hear about that one again. Let's see what else we can discover. Untitled, notice the Ottawa Free Trader April 10th, 1846. The Great Skeleton Giant 19-feet high, which was dug up in Tennessee, oh I guess we're not done yet, proves to be the imperfect skeleton of a young mastodon set upright on its hind legs, and by the aid of artificial substitutes for some of the principal bones, which we're wanting may to assume a moderately human appearance Boston Post. So they're going on of course off of the American Journal of Science here. Humbug credulity, mechanics advocate February 25th, 1847. We saw it announced last year in the papers that a human skeleton 18 feet in height, it had been dug up in Tennessee. It was shortly after exhibited through the Mississippi Valley and found its way to New Orleans in the hands of a man who had purchased it on speculation. Now this had gone through multiple cities too. So clearly they had to bring it into it, right? Thousands had seen it and the owner exhibited hundreds of certificates of doctors, surgeons, clergymen, lawyers, gentlemen, et cetera, to the fact that it was a bona fide human skeleton. So now they're going to gaslight everybody. At New Orleans, Professor Carpenter of the Louisiana Medical College was requested to call and examine it, which he did, and at the first glance pronounced it a man, no, but the bones of a young mastodon. So it's kind of interesting, they get the right guy, who's one of the boys to come in and immediately calls it a mastodon. It was standing upright, like how did they make that mistake, right? It was standing upright supported by a beam. The pelvis was artificial and human, of course, in appearance. And as the greater part of the cranium was missing when found, it was no hard matter for the ingenious rogue to fit what was left of it to look like man's, which he accomplished with the aid of a piece of raw hide. When told of the hoax by the professor, the owner declared he would never exhibit it again, and he probably has not for its fame has not reached our ears of late through the columns of the press. Again, I mean, if I found something in my backyard that was a massive animal, an ancient animal, whatever, even if it was misclassified at first, which I think, again, this whole story is suspect, even if it was misclassified at first, it's like, why are they forcing this guy to box it up? And where did it go? I mean, was this the first example of one of those, you know, Smithsonian trucks, you know, beep, beep, beep, backing up, and oh, we'll take it over from here. We'll give it a proper home. The miscellaneous discoveries, Niles National Register, July 3, 1847. There were giants in those days, wonderful fossil remains. The new Orleans papers speak of a gigantic skeleton of some animal, not yet classed, as being now exhibited in that city. We learn from the times that it stands 16 feet high and was discovered at a depth of 55 feet below the surface of the earth in Tennessee. The question is whether these anti-diluvian remains belong to a class of animals, homogeneous with the present race of man or not. No fossil remains of man have yet we believe been found, although there is no doubt, according to geologists, that the globe at the earth since it first became habitable after losing its incandescent state has always been the abode of intellectual as well as animal life. Second of a giant, the Oswego commercial times August 1841. Recently, gentlemen in the neighborhood of the ancient city of rings and making an excavation for some purpose discovered a human skeleton well preserved, which was 4 meters or 13 feet long. Now, right away, we're going to, here's PT Barnum, and right away, we're going to start seeing the controllers they're already moving in and they're purposely going to start hoaxing this stuff. So, my apologies, we're going to have to get through some of this, but like I said, I feel like we need to see, instead of just showing you the original couple newspapers where a guy is going through cities showing his 18 to 19 foot giants and he's having dozens of professionals sign off on it until they had to put an end to it, we're going to be seeing this now where they're actually rolling out fake giants on purpose because they need to crush this. And never mind the fact that Abraham Lincoln, what, 10 years after this fact, he's, you know, gave a speech about the giants that were being dug up everywhere. So, PT Barnum's speech on humbungs, this has to be good, delivered at Stanford on the occasion of the agricultural fair, Fairfield County, Grand River Times, November 15, 1854. It seems to be a most unfortunate circumstance that I should be selected to speak on humbung as looking on the ladies, whose profession it peculiarly is, I find it hard to express myself in their presence. Everything is humbung. The whole state is humbung, except our agricultural society that alone is not. It is generally defined as deceit or imposition, a burglar who breaks into your house, a forger who cheats you of your property, or a rascal is not a humbung, a humbung is an imposter. But in my opinion, the true meaning of humbung is management, management tact to take an old truth and put it in an, in an attractive form. And what does humbung remind you, it always reminds me of the man behind the curtain in Wizard of Oz. I have not the vanity to call myself a real scientific humbung. I am only a humble member of the profession. My ambition to be the prince of humbungs I will resign, but I hope the public will take the will for the deed, I can assure them that if I had been able to give them all the humbungs that I have thought of, they would have been a amply satisfied. Before I went to England with Tom Thumb, I had a skeleton prepared from various bones, it was to have been made 18 feet high, it was to have been buried a year in Ohio and then dug up by accident so that the public might learn there were giants of old. You see what he's doing here? The price I was to pay the person who proposed to put the skeleton together was to have been $225. By finding Tom Thumb more successful than I thought, I sent word not to proceed with the skeleton, my manager who never thought as highly of the scheme as it deserved sold the skeleton for $50 or $75. Seven years afterwards, I received from the south an account of a gigantic skeleton that had been found, accompanying it were certificates of scientific and medical men as to a genuineness. The owner asked $20,000 or $1,000 a month, I wrote to him if he brought it on, I would take it if I found it as representative or would pay his expenses if not. I found it was my old original humbug come back to me again, of course I refused it and I never heard of it afterwards. Medical Intelligence, the Boston Medical and Surgical Journal, June 19, 1856, Western Giants and their slumber. The Burlington, Iowa State Gazette says that while some workmen were engaged in excavating from the cellar of Governor Grimes' new building, on the corner of Maine and Valley streets, they came upon an arch vault, some 10 feet square, which, on being opened, was found to contain eight human skeletons of gigantic proportions. The walls of the vault were about 14 inches thick, well laid up with cement or indestructible mortar. The vault is about 6 feet deep from the base to the arch, the skeletons are in a good state of preservation, and we venture to say are the largest human remains ever found being a little over 8 feet long. Now already starting out, we saw that there were giants larger than that, but we'll give it to them. Several skeletons dug up that were over 8 feet tall, which is very tall. Even of a giant found the New York Times, November 21, 1856, a day or two since, some workmen engaged in subsoiling the grounds of Sherrick Wicken, and his vineyard in east wheeling, came across a human skeleton, although much decayed, there was little difficulty in identifying it by placing the bones which could not have been belonged to others than a human body in their original position. The impression made by the skeleton in the earth and the skeleton itself was measured by the sheriff and a brother in the craft local, both of whom were prepared to swear that it was 10 feet, 9 inches in length. His jaws and teeth were almost as large as those of a horse. The bones are to be seen at the sheriff's office, wheeling times, another giant that appears to have disappeared from the sheriff's office. There were giants in those days, Ballouse Monthly Dollar Magazine, August 1860. The theory that humanity of the anti-diluvian period existed in forms which would now be considered colossal has found many adherents among scientific men. A fossil skeleton of enormous size recently discovered near Abeville, France, and this is what's telling you that there are some in here that reports on European finds, was regarded as a proof of this theory. A doctor full rat of Berlin has more recently found other remains of some anti-diluvian giants in the village of Guten, near the junction of the Rhine and Dussel. The discovery has created quite a flutter among the wise men of Germany and a commission has been formed for digging in diverse places of the same geological formation as that wherein the giant skeleton. The discovery of a huge skeleton from the Saint Rapids, Minnesota, Centennial, December 18th. This would be 1868, so the Civil War has come to an end. Not too much digging up of giants, I guess, during the Civil War, huh? I guess they were busy doing other things. The New York Times, December 25th, 1868, I guess, they were busy with their Masonic War Games for a while for a few years. A day before yesterday, while the quarrymen employed by the Sink Rapids Water Power Company were engaged in quarrying rock for the dam, which is being erected across the Mississippi, at this place found embedded in the solid granite rock the remains of a human being of gigantic status. About seven feet below the surface of the ground and about three feet and a half beneath the upper stratum of rock, the remains were found embedded in sand, which evidently had been placed in the quad-regular grave, which had been dug out of the rock to receive the last remains of the antidiluvian giant. The grave was 12 feet in length, 4 feet wide, and about 3 feet in depth, and is today at least 2 feet below the present level of the river. The remains are completely petrified and/or of gigantic dimensions. The head is massive, measuring 31 and 1/2 inches in circumference, but low in the affrontous and very flat on top. The femur measures 26 and 1/4 inches in the fibula 25 and 1/2 while the body is equally long in proportion. From the crown of the head, excuse me, to the sole of the foot, the length is 10 feet and 9 and 1/2 inches. The giant must have weighed at least 900 pounds when covered with a reasonable amount of flesh. I would equate this one to about a goliath-sized. The petrified remains, and there is nothing left but the naked bones, now weighed 304 and 1/4 pounds. The thumb and fingers of the left hand and the left foot from the ankle to the toes are gone, but all other parts are perfect. Over the sepulcher of the unknown dead was placed a large flat limestone rock. The remain perfectly separated from the surrounding granite rock. I don't know. One thing you notice that is happening here is that, obviously, back in the 19th century, people were very biblically literate, and so when they're talking about all they have to say is anti-diluvian, people know they're talking about Noah's flood. The question I have though is why assume? Like, how do they know that this was Noah's flood? My point being that it could have been a later event, there's no reason to assume, you know, unless they had really done the detective work on this. Cardiff giant undone with an enormous iron helmet, so a lot of you know about the Cardiff giant and probably where this is going, Ohio Democrat, Ohio Democrat, January 14th, 1870. On Tuesday morning last, well, Mr. William Thompson, assisted by Mr. Robert R. Smith, was engaged in making an excavation near the house of the former, about half a mile north of West Hickory, preparatory to erecting a derrick. They exhumed an enormous helmet of iron, which was corroded with dust. Further digging brought to light a sword, which measured nine feet in length. Curiosity incited them to enlarge the hole, and after some little time they discovered the bones of two enormous feet. Following up the lid, lead, they had so unexpectedly struck, in a few hours time they had unearthed the well-preserved remains of an enormous giant, belonging to a species of the human family, which probably inhabited this and other parts of the world, at the time of which the Bible speaks when it says, "and the regiants in those days." And, of course, don't forget, they always leave out the part and afterwards. The helmet is said to be of the shape of those among the ruins of Nineveh. The bones of the skeleton are a remarkable white. The teeth are all in their places and all of extraordinary size. These relics have been taken to Teonesta, where they are visited by large numbers of people daily. When his giant ship was in the flesh, he must have stood 18 feet tall in his stockings. These remarkable relics will be shipped to New York early next week. The joints of the skeleton are now being glued together. These remains were found about 12 feet under the surface of a mound, which had been thrown up probably centuries ago, and which was not more than three feet above the level of the ground around it. $5,000 reward. The broadside advertisement published at Saratoga Springs, New York, August 10, 1870. A $5,000 reward for a piece of the same material as the Cardiff Giant. We make the above offer to any man, as we know there is nothing of any kind in the country. Again, we will give every visitor one dollar win after a careful examination believes the Cardiff Giant to be a humbug. C.O. got business manager. Gee, I wonder where this is going. Philia, Philia Street near post office. Below will be found an interesting letter from Professor Wilson of Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Springs, August 6, 1870. Dear, sir, I have visited the Cardiff Giant several times and examined it carefully, both by daylight and by gaslight, and I'm free to confess that to me, the monster stone man is a mystery. If it is a veritable work of art, I cannot understand why any sculpture possessing the skill to produce so perfect a specimen of statuary could have consented to place his subject in such an unartistical, grotesque position. Again, I cannot understand how by any known art, the whole surface of the body could possibly be made to exhibit so perfectly the perspiratory and oil tubes visible in all parts, not only to the naked eye, but especially so under a microscope. Again, if it is a veritable work of art, and as some claim, a very recent one, I defy any man to show how the abrasion of the limbs on one side, manifestly produced by the action of the elements could possibly be imitated by artificial means. That it is a humbug, and in position, I cannot stultify myself sufficiently to believe. If it is a petrification, as some honestly think, to what race did the monster belong? I leave the old fellow, as thousands have, with the question of an enquirer, what is it, H. A. Wilson, Saratoga Springs, August 10th, 1870. Chickas Saba remains of giants found in Arkansas, Memphis Daily Appeal, August 28th, 1870. Human skeletons unearthed 8 and 10 feet in height, relics of a former race. The statements which we make below, and the facts detail, they're so strange and almost incredible, and so like the many roar backs and canards that have from time to time appeared in the press of Europe and America, that we premise them with the declaration that they are strictly true, and that we have not exaggerated what we have seen one iota. With this much as preface, we will proceed to our story. So Chickas Saba, 2 miles west of Barfield Point in Arkansas County, Arkansas, on the east bank of the lovely stream called Pimiscot River, stands in Indian Mound, some 25 feet high and about an acre in area at the top. This mound is called Chickas Saba, and from it, the heights and beautiful countries surrounding it, some 12 square miles in area, derives its name Chickas Saba. The mound derives its name from Chickas Saba, a chief of the Shawnee tribe who lived, died and was buried there. This chief was one of the last race of hunters who lived in that beautiful region, and who once peopled it quite thickly. For Indians, we mean Aunt Kitty Williams, who now resides there, relates that Chickas Saba would frequently bring in for sale as much as 20 gallons of pure honey in deer skins, bags, slung to his back. He was always a friend to the whites, a man of gigantic stature and herculean strength. A number of years ago, making an excavation into or near the foot of Chickas Saba's mound, a portion of a gigantic human skeleton was found. The men who were digging, becoming interested, unearthed the entire skeleton, and from measurements given us by reliable parties, the frame of the man to whom it belonged could not have been less than 8 or 9 feet in height. Under the skull, which slipped easily over the head of our informant, who we will hear state is one of our best citizens, was found a peculiarly shaped earthen jar resembling nothing in the way of Indian pottery which has before been seen by them. It was exactly the shape of the round-bodied long-necked carofess or water decanters, a specimen of which may be seen on Gaston's dining table. The material which the vase was made was a peculiar kind of clay, and the workmanship was very fine. The belly or body of it was ornamented with figures or hieroglyphs, consisting of a correct delineation of human hands, parallel to each other, open, palms outward, and running up and down the vase, the wrist to the base and the fingers toward the neck. On either side of these hands were tebe or thigh bones, also correctly delineated, running around the vases. There were other things found with the skeleton, but this is all that our informants remembers. Since that time, wherever an excavation has been made in the Chickasaba County and the neighborhood of the mound, similar skeletons have been found, and under the skull of every one were found similar funeral vases, almost exactly like the one described. There are now in this city several of the vases and portions of the huge skeletons. One of the editors of the appeal yesterday measured a thigh bone, which is fully three-feet long. The thigh and shin bones, together with the bones of the foot, stood up in a proper position in a physician's office in this city, measured five feet in height, and showed the body to which the leg belongs to have been from nine to ten feet in height. At Beaufort's landing near Barfield and digging a deep ditch, a skeleton was dug up, the leg of which measured between five and six feet in length and other bones in proportion. In a very few days we hope to be able to lay before our readers accurate measurement and descriptions of the portions of the skeletons now in the city and of the artifacts found in the graves. It is not a matter of doubt that these are human remains. Now, they have to be careful saying this because as soon as they say without a doubt, this is homo, you know, that species of homo, human remains, somebody else is going to come along some scientific society and say, "Sorry, you misidentified a Tyrannosaurus rut." But it'd be a long extinct race, a race which flourished, lived, and died many centuries ago in those days told of inscripture and the regients in those days. And again, remember, they always quote that as prediluvian, not afterwards. It was Sir Hans Sloan, we believe, who first put forth the theory that the gigantic bones found in various parts of the old world were not human remains. This so ill, according with the popular ideas and superstitions about giants, was considered the rankest sort of heresy at the time. But Coolier, the great anatomist, proved them in almost every instance to be proportions of the fossils of mammoths. You see what I'm saying? There we go. Megathorems, mastodons, et cetera. The bones that he examined, however, were those of such apocryphal skeletons as that found in Sicily in the early part of the 18th century, 300 feet long of bucarts found at balance in 1705, 30 feet high of the chavalier rinsen found at ruin in 1509. Within the past century, there have been numerous well-attested instances of giants over eight feet in height with these individual instances before us and knowing the enormous size of almost the entire population of portions of Kentucky, we do not need to be disciples of Henry on the French academic who believed Adam was 120 live feet high, Noah 27 feet, Moses 20 feet, and so on down to the era of Christ when the decree stopped to be convinced that the race of Aboriginal men who built the large mounds in various parts of the country were of gigantic frame and enormous stature. So isn't it like you don't hear a lot of this anymore, and I've covered this before, this idea that Adam was enormous size, 120 feet high, of the opinion that the skull that is found there, the amount of skulls, where Messiah was crucified may be Adam's skull, it's a massive skull, it'd be a huge, huge individual, and then of course, Noah being 27 feet high, I've heard estimates of anywhere from 15 to 30 feet, and of course, I believe the altar that is found there at Ron Wyatt's ark site, it's unhewn stone, it was put there by a massive individual, and he was estimated to be about that 15 to 30 feet, the individual who built that, and of course, then we see Moses 20 feet high, I haven't heard that one before, I would think by that time they had shrunk down considerably, but nevertheless, that's interesting, let's keep reading. Giant skulls with perfect teeth, daily telegraph, August 23, 1871, Dunville, Ontario, there is not the slightest doubt that the remains of a lost city are on this farm. At various times, within the past years, the remains of mud houses with their chimneys have been found and there are dozens of pits of a similar kind to that just unearth. Though much smaller in the place which has been discovered before, though the fact has not been made public hitherto, the remains of a blacksmith's shop containing two tons and charcoal and various implements were turned up a few months ago. The farm which consists of 150 acres has been cultivated for nearly a century and was covered with a thick growth of pine, so that it must have been ages ago since the remains were deposited there. The skulls of the skeletons are of an enormous size in all manner of shapes, about half as large again as are now to be seen. The teeth and most of them are still in an almost perfect state of preservation, though they soon fall out when exposed to the air. It is supposed that there is gold or silver and large quantities to be found in the premises, as mineral rods have invariably, when tested, pointed to a search and spot in a few yards from where the last batch of skeletons was found directly under the apple tree. Some large shells, supposed to have been used for holding water which were also found in the pit, were almost petrified. There is no doubt that if there is a scheme of exploration carried on thoroughly, the result would be highly interesting, a good deal of excitement existed in the neighborhood and many visitors call it the farm daily. The skulls and bones of the giants are fast disappearing, being taken away by curiosity hunters. Oh, is that what they call it? It's the curiosity hunters coming to take away the giant bones. They are disappearing people. They used to be all over this land and they are just curious, nobody knows where they are ending up. One day they are in a sheriff's station and the next, who knows, it is the intention of Mr. Fredenburg to cover the pit up very soon. The pit is ghastly in the extreme. The farm is skirted on the north by the Grand River. The pit is so close to the banks, but marks are there to show where the gold or silver treasure is supposed to be under. From the appearance of the skulls, it would seem that their possessors died a violent death as many of them were broken and dented. The axes are shaped like tomahawks, small, but keen instruments. The beads are all of stone and of all sizes and shapes. The pipes are not unlike in shape, the cuddy pipe, and several of them are engraved with dog dogs' heads. They have not lost their virtue for smoking. Some people profess to believe that the locality of the Fredenburg farm was formerly an Indian burial place, but the enormous stature of the skeletons and the fact that pine trees of centuries growth covered the spot go far to disprove this idea. Niagara's ancient cemetery of giants. Daily Telegraph, August 23, 1871, this is what I started out talking about, but Lincoln gave a speech in the whereabouts of this area back, and I'm assuming, what, 1864? I'm assuming I'd have to look up the exact date when he gave that speech, but just within several years later, they find this. A remarkable site, 200 skeletons in Kuyuga Township, a singular discovery by a Torontonian and others, a vast Gogotha open to view. Some remains of the giants that were in those days from our own correspondence. So isn't it just really quickly point out here that we saw immediately they were trying to disprove it, and then there's people inside or the humbugs showing up to try to, what they say is they were hoaxing this, just to mess with people's heads, they're gaslighting everybody, and yet this just keeps happening, and they just keep digging up and they keep digging up. At this point in history, they don't seem to be able to stop it, or I should say they can't seem to be able to stop it. On Wednesday last, Reverend Nathaniel Wardle, Messers Oren Wardle of Toronto and Daniel Fredenberg were digging on the farm of the later gentlemen, which is on the banks of the Grand River in the township of Kuyuga. When they got to 5 or 6 feet below the surface, a strange sight met them, piled in layers, one upon top of the other were some 200 skeletons of human beings, nearly perfect, around the neck of each one being a string of beads. They were also deposited in this pet a number of axes and skimmers made a stone, and the jaws as several of the skeletons were large stone pipes, one of which Mr. O. Wardle took with him to Toronto, a day or two after this Galgotha was unearthed. These skeletons are those of men of gigantic stature, some of them measuring 9 feet, very few of them being less than 7 feet. Some of the thigh bones were found to be at least a foot longer than those at present known, and one of the skulls being examined completely covered the head of an ordinary person. This has taken us back to remember what originally covered the head of an ordinary person. It was the so-called mastodon find, so this could be, I don't know, this could be what, another 18 footer, and of course, most of them didn't get that big right, they would be the ones to rule over the other giants or the other the mortals. These skeletons are supposed to belong to those of a race of people anterior to the Indians. Some three years ago the bones of a mastodon were found embedded in the earth seat, they had to bring that up didn't they, they had to throw that in there. Were found embedded in the earth about 6 miles from the spot, so apparently all these very large, I mean they can't ignore the fact that these guys are like 9 feet tall, those are giants, so they're clearly goliath size giants, but they had to bring up, yeah, but you know, there was a mastodon, you know, so apparently these 9 foot tall giants were buried with a mastodon, apparently, that must be it, 6 miles from the spot. Or maybe a mastodon just wandered and fell into the grave and died down there with them as they were burying it, who really knows. The pits in its ghastly occupants are now open to the view of any who may wish to make a visit there, and you know that probably didn't go over well. Wonderful discoveries, Daily State Journal, September 6, 1871, a cave of dead Indians. Look what they just said here, mammoth remains. We copy the following wonderful story about the Petersburg Index of this morning, but for the reliable source from which it emanates, and the character of its informers, we would be disposed to doubt its truthfulness. The following information is given, us by gentlemen of the highest character and credit, who have seen with their own eyes, touched and tested with their own hands, the wonderful objects of which they make report. The workmen engage in opening a way for the projected railroad between Wilden and Geriesburg, struck Monday about one mile from the former place in a bank beside the river, a catacomb of skeletons, supposed to be those of Indians of a remote age and a lost and forgotten race. The bodies exhumed were of a strange and remarkable formation. The skulls were nearly an inch in thickness, the teeth were filed sharp. As are those of cannibals, the animal perfectly preserved, the bones were of wonderful length and strength, the femur being as long as a leg of an ordinary man. The stature of the body being probably as great as eight or nine feet. Near their heads were sharp stone arrows, stone mortars in which their corn was braid, and the bowls of pipes apparently of soft, friable soapstone. The teeth of the skeletons are said to be as large as those of horses. One of them has been brought to the city and presented to the officers of the Petersburg Railroad. The bodies were found closely packed together, laid tire on tire, as it seems. There was no discernible ingress or egress to the mound. The mystery is, who these giants were, to what race they belonged, to what era, and how they came to be buried there. To these inquiries, no answer has yet been made. And meantime, the ruthless spade continues to cleave body and skull asunder, throwing up and mingled masses the boner of the heroic tribe. We hope some effort will be made to preserve authentic and accurate accounts of these discoveries and to throw some light, if possible, on the lost tribe, whose bones are thus rudely disturbed from their sleep in Earth's bosom. So it sounds like this whole site was being completely destroyed. Race of Giants found an underground tomb under Old Stone Fort in Tennessee weekly times, March 30th, 1872. Here the city is a cave commonly known as Bone Cave, from which have been brought at various times by boys and other persons who have tried to explore its hidden recesses, human bones of unusual size. The popular legends of the people are to the effect that it is somewhat connected with the people or race which created the Old Stone Fort, which stands a short distance to the west of the town. A few days since some boys discovered an almost entire skeleton of mammoth size. The bones of the four arm were nearly 20 inches long while the bones of the lower part of the leg were longer than an ordinary man's limb foot in all. The jawbone of this giant would slip over the face of an ordinary man. Stimulated by these discoveries and a laudable desire to learn the secrets of this mysterious cavern on last Thursday's six gentlemen, including the editors of this paper, made this a necessary preparation and started out to explore the bone cave. After an exhilarating walk of two miles through a clear bracing air, we reached the entrance of the cave where divesting ourselves of our overcoats and lighting our torches. We entered one of the many passages, but after a short scramble we found further advanced stop by large pieces of rock that had fallen and blocked up the passage. Soon other members of the party came down and explorations commenced. We found ourselves in a vaulted chamber about 25 feet wide by 60 long with passages leading in every direction. Following one, we rambled on for 40 or 50 feet, and then there appeared one of the most beautiful lakes we have ever seen. The water was clear and sweet, and the ceiling over the water studded with stalactites reflected back the light from our torches like a gem. We had no means of ascertaining the size of the lake, for the banks were perpendicular and it seemed like a pearl set in a bed of rocks. Another passage which was explored by B.F. Fleming was found to extend in a direct line toward the old stone fort. This passage followed for a distance of nearly 200 feet when further progress was stopped by the passage being filled up with debris. This passage looks as if it had been cut from the solid rock by the hand of man and gives rise to the hypothesis that at some time, far back in the dark ages, this cave was used by a race of man giants, if you like. We built this stone fort and the mounds, and that this underground passage led from the fort to the cave a mile distant. After a good look at this part of the cave, we returned to daylight, having been underground three hours and traversing over a mile inside the cave. After partaking of a lunch, sent us by a very hospitable lady whose name we have, mislaid, but not her kindness. How sweet. We had a short search in the tunnel known as the "dead house". Here we found many bones, but all in a state of decomposition and decay. This tunnel or chamber is coated with a soft, loose soil to a depth of a foot or more into which one can plunge a stick with perfect feet before all the rest of the cave is solid rock. Still road workers unearthed giants, an Indian mound opened, Wisconsin daily free press, October 7th, 1873, hold on guys, I need to get a little bit more coffee here. Maybe you guys can take a little quick little coffee, pea break, alright I'm back. Where was I? October 7th, 1873. A few days ago, the men engaged in building the road bed of the Green Bay and Winona railroad, struck an Indian mound near Arcadia, it had been in view for some days and no little speculation was indulged in as to what the excavation would develop from this cemetery of the Red Man, the discovery exceeded all anticipations. The skeleton of an Indian was found of such dimensions as to indicate that the frame must have been that of a giant. The jaw bone easily enclosed the face of the largest labor to be found on the work. The thigh bones were more like those of a horse than a man, hair heavy and remarkably well preserved, pieces of blanket in which the body had been wrapped were taken out in a tolerable state of preservation, a number of Mexican coins were also found. The unusual size of the skeleton has excited considerable interest and the curiosities will be carefully preserved for exhibition, oh sure they will. Monstrace, Central Press, November 26th, 1873. Some interesting discoveries have just been made in a cave called King Solomon's Cave in Montana, United States and an account to them is given by a correspondent of the Deer Lodge Independent who formed one of the party of explorers of the cave in question. After crawling through the several narrow passages into a most magnificent chamber, the attention of the explorers was attracted by a massive shield made of copper, 57 inches in length and 36 inches in width, leaning against the wall, about 10 feet beyond the shield and 8 feet from the floor was a cavity in the wall. One of the party by the aid of some stones climbed up the aperture with a slight but quickly descended, I'm sorry, with a light, it's getting late. He climbed up the aperture with a light, I think I need more coffee. That quickly descended in such a state of alarm that he was, for some moments, unable to explain that in the niche lay a petrified giant. The other explorers immediately climbed up to the aperture and gazed in. There sure enough was the monster man whose dimensions on measurement were 9 feet, 7 1/2 inches, 38 inches across the brass and 2 feet deep, a helmet, a brass or copper of gigantic proportions was on his head which the corrosive elements of time had sealed to his brow. He seems to have been a disagreeable customer and it is perhaps as well that he is dead and petrified for near him were two mammoth spearheads, one of them with a socket a silver into which insert a large pole or handle. There was also a large hook made of bone, apparently manufactured from the tusk of the Leviathan of the land, on the wall were some strange looking letters and pictures of three ships, each having three masks, the middle mask being only two thirds the height of the outward one. There was also on a flat stone in the wall the picture of a large man with a spear in his hand and of another ship, that's pretty interesting, I don't remember this story, that's actually really fascinating. On removing this stone another chamber was discovered in which were the bones of several more giants, a primitive quartz crusher and a number of tools made of copper, it is supposed that these poor giants were at work a thousand years ago in the cave when a slide from the mountain above emured them in a living tomb. The search is to be further prosecuted and in the meantime the explorers are described as almost wild but the strange and curious things they have discovered, this beats the sea serpent to fits. It's kind of interesting that they talk about the sea serpent because they mentioned Leviathan. This is the first report that we have read where they are not mentioning in those days of regiants, they specifically mentioned that they think this is like the giants were there a thousand years ago and that they somehow came on these three ships, so that's really interesting. This comes from Paul Magazette. The early American giant New York Times February 8th, 1876. The public will be unpleasantly reminded of the callous indifference to the future on the part of the prehistoric Americans by the recent discovery of three unusually fine skeletons in Kentucky, a Louisville paper asserts that two men lately undertook to explore a cave which they accidentally discovered not far from the city, the entrance to the cave was small but the explorers soon found themselves in their magnificent apartment richly furnished with the most expensive and fashionable stalactites. In the corner of this hall stood a large stone family vault which the men promptly pried open and it were found three skeletons each nearly nine feet in height. The skeletons appeared to have somewhat frightened the young men for on seeing so extensive collection of bones, they immediately dropped their torch and subsequently wandered in darkness for 36 hours before they found their way back to daylight and soda, water... oh don't do that. Now it is evident that these gigantic skeletons belong to men very different from the men of present day. A skeleton eight feet and ten inches in height would measure fully nine feet, wind rest and even a thin suits of flesh. The tallest nine foot giant of a traveling circus is rarely more than six feet, four inches high in private life and without his boots and even giants of this quality are scarce in deer. The three genuine nine foot men of Kentucky must have belonged to a race that is now entirely extinct. And hence it would be a matter of great interest if we can learn who and what they were. Remains of nine foot giants in Ohio, Maryam, Daily Star, July 14, 1880 because you knew that Ohio has to come into this somehow. A correspondent of the Cincinnati Inquirer, writing about the remains of a giant race found in Muskingum County, Ohio says the following. The mound in which these remarkable discoveries were made was about 64 feet long and 35 feet wide top measurement and gently sloped down to the hill where it was situated. A number of stumps of trees were found on the slope standing in two rows and on the top of the mound were an oak and a hickory stump all of which bore marks of gray age. All of the skeletons were found on a level with the hill and about eight feet from the top of the mound. In one gray there were two skeletons, one male and one female. The female face was looking downward, the male being immediately on top of course with the face looking upward. The male skeleton measured nine feet in length and the female was eight. This is the first time we've heard of a female giant. First time apparently she was a foot shorter but I mean an eight foot female. Imagine finding a dance partner and good thing she ended up with a nine foot tall guy. The male frame in this case was nine feet four inches in length and the female was eight feet. And another gray was found a female skeleton which was encased in a clay coffin holding in her arms the skeleton of a child three and a half feet long by the side of which was an image which being exposed to the atmosphere crumbled rapidly. The remaining seven were found in single graves and were lying on their sides. The smallest of the seven was nine feet in length and the largest ten. Of single circumstance connected with the discovery was the fact that not a single tooth was found in either mouth except in the one encased in the clay coffin. On the south end of the mound was erected a stone altar four and a half feet wide and 12 feet long built on an earthen foundation nearly four feet wide having in the middle two large flag stones from which sacrifices were undoubtedly made for upon them were found charred bones, cinders and ashes. This was covered by about three feet of earth in ancient tablet with possible hieroglyphs. What is now a profound mystery may in time become the key to unlock still further mysteries that were centuries ago commonplace affairs. I referred to a stone that was found resting against the head of the clay coffin above it described it is irregularly shaped red sandstone weighing about 18 pounds being strongly impregnated with oxide of iron and bearing upon one side two lines of hieroglyphs. Ancient American giants the Scientific American August 14, 1880. The Reverend Steven Bauer's notes in the Kansas City review of science the opening of an interesting mound in Bush Creek Township, Ohio. The mound was opened by the historical society of the township under the immediate supervision of Dr. J. E. Everhart's of Zanesville measured 65 by 34 feet at the summit gradually sloping in every direction was eight feet in height. There was found in it a sort of clay coffin including the skeleton of a woman measuring eight feet in length within this coffin was found also a child about three and a half feet in length and an image that crumbled when exposed to the atmosphere in another grave was found the skeleton of a man and a woman the former measuring nine and the later eight feet in length and a third cave occurred to other skeletons male and female measuring respectively nine feet four inches and eight feet. Now when you talk about a child it's three and a half feet in length. I mean I wish we could do like the detective that the CSI work on this now right and and just date this child like what are we looking at here is this like a three year old right I mean would be really interesting to see what how old you would have to be if you're going to grow up to be eight or nine feet tall I mean three and three and a half feet is not an accomplishment for a normal size person correct so it'd be interesting to see how old they would be seven other skeletons were found in the mound the smallest of which measured eight feet while others reached the enormous length of ten feet they were buried singly or each in separate graves resting against one of the coffins was in a grave stone tablet now in Cincinnati from the characters on which Dr. Everett and Mr. Bowers are led to conclude that the this giant race were sun worshipers and I don't I haven't looked into where the stablet this tablet went I'd be curious if it is found in a museum today or if it is gone forever a giant skeleton must have been Goliath Providence evening press September 3rd 1883 I guess that that would be the honorable or Han honorable J H Hainley a well known and reliable citizen of Bernard Missouri writes to the Gazette the particulars of the discovery of a giant skeleton four miles southwest of that place a farmer named John W. J B tumor yesterday received a letter from mr. hazelton who was on a visit to Cartersville the letter contained several beads made a stone and gave an interesting account of the opening of a large Indian mound near that town by a committee of scientists sent out from the Smithsonian Institution and here we go I want to say Smithsonian Institute I mean this that just bugs me to no ends that I grew up with the Smithsonian Institute and now it is the Smithsonian Institution but it is what it is but anyways this is the first time the Smithsonian shows up and they're going to start showing up more and more now they're obviously taking an interest in this here we go after removing the dirt for some distance a layer of large flag stones was found which had evidently been dressed by hand and showed that the man who quarried this rock understood their business the stones were removed when in a kind of vault beneath them the skeleton of a giant who measured seven feet two inches was found his hair was coarse and jet black and hung to his waist the brow being ornamented with a copper crown the skeleton was remarkably well preserved and taken from the vault intact near the skeleton were found the bodies as several small children of various sizes the remains of the later were covered with beads made a bone of some kind upon removing these the bodies were found to be in case in a network made of straw or reed and beneath this was the covering of an animal of some kind in fact the bodies had been prepared somewhat after the manner of mummies and will doubtless throw new light on the history the people who raised the mounds oh will it when one of you heard in the history books about the mummies of north america upon the stones that covered the vault were carved inscriptions which if deciphered will probably lift the veil that hasn't shrouded the history of the race of giants that undoubtedly at one time inhabited the continent not if the smisonian has anything to uh say about that all the real all the relics were shipped to the smisonian and that's all capital to in the right like uh yeah all the relics were carefully packed and sit to the smisonian instead i can't even say institution i need to uh learn to adapt to my new reality this is the reality we live in now it is now this masonian institution uh unlike these institutes and are said to be the most interesting collection ever found in america and of course you know if you ask this masonian institution uh to to clarify this they claim that they have never received any of these ever it's not on record they don't have it so this brilliance of fine that is supposed to change american history and how there were mummies and all sorts of stuff um giants never existed uh the explorers are now at work on a mound in barlow county and before their return home will visit various sections in georgia where antiquities are found on the okeny river in green county just above powell's mills are several mounds one of them very tall and uh i i don't even know that word prek a prekopitius that's a great it looks like a great word i just wish i knew how to pronounce it i'd my apologies i think i have a little bit more steam for a couple more and then we're going to be cutting it off and we'll have to pick this up again if you guys enjoy this again i mean the reason i put i i i put these all into a book form for you guys is because i i personally think this documentation is well worth it to have on your shelf uh to refer to i mean i i know i'm gonna be referring to this and um yeah i mean we all hear about these giants being dug up but if you when you have them all in one collection it's pretty awesome right gigantic skeletons australia times or australia times september 5th 1884 a michigan paper reports the discovery of a gigantic human in a rock near the sock rapids it says the head is massive 31 and 1/2 inches in circumference is low in the front and very flat on the top the femur measures 26 and 1/4 inches and the fibula 26 and 1/2 inches while the body is equally long in proportion from the crown of the head to the sole of the foot the length is 10 feet 9 and 1/2 inches the measure uh the measure around the chest is 59 and 1/2 inches this giant must have weighed at least 900 pounds so for everyone out there who's trying to lose weight and um not too happy with how much you weigh i guess it's all perspective right i mean yeah imagine this guy going on a diet anyways this giant must have weighed at least 900 pounds when covered with a reasonable amount of flesh
