Hey guys, welcome back. And here we go, the long labor day weekend. We talked about this earlier this morning. There's a lot going on. First of all, a lot of people are traveling, right? At least, how's the traffic up here? Yeah, this is a big travel day. A lot of people left yesterday, you know, because they can work from home on Fridays. Yeah. But today, between like 10 and 3, you'll see a lot of volume. OK. And Alston Christmas kicks off today through our greater Boston. Kids are moving in to as many as 36 different colleges and universities. We're talking about 150,000 kids. It's going to be kind of a crazy weekend this weekend and mixed up with all that, of course, is a labor day weekend. And we have a great new contest that we're kicking off Tuesday morning, right, Justin? Yeah, Sabrina Carpenter is coming to the garden in October. And this is a hot ticket, sold out show. And it's trending because it's literally Gatorade and wine. So you take light blue, glacier-freeze Gatorade, and then any cheap red wine that's less than $12. Yeah, not for you, though, Bill. No. It's not like anything I've ever tasted. If I'm being honest, I'd rather drink this than barefoot or a yellow zell. I'd drink that on the rocks. The more I'm drinking it, the more I like it. It's kind of what it's giving. It's like I'm a sangria vibe because you added this fruit juice, for lack of a better word, to wine. So it's this kind of wine cocktail vibe. Boy, not my thing. What if you use a red wine? I mean, not a white wine or a different type of wine. You probably could. Yeah, absolutely. But it's probably that sangria type taste. Yeah, you know I've never had wine. Really? Any wine? I've never tasted wine. Really? Yeah. Wow. Wasn't a big drinker. Interesting. Yeah, you've had a lot of things going on. Yeah, you need to drink. Well, yeah, you had enough going in. I saw the video in this story early this morning. This is amazing. Chicago police are out looking for this guy who threw a large rock in the window of the studios, ABC 7, in Chicago. And you can get the anchor's reaction. They were live on their newscast, so check it out. Two women were sitting in a car and two men of a, I don't know what that was. I'm sorry about that. Yeah. There goes another one. Make sure I'm not sure what's going on here. All right. Let's call security if they can check out if something's going on here. Wow. That's scary. It is scary. It really is. But what I wouldn't give, right, Lease? Oh. Oh. Really? We'll be doing his news report. And then the rocks come right off these windows. I don't give people any ideas. Okay. Thankfully, we're not on the first floor, so you have to have a good arm. Yeah. Third floor. The C7 in Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Oh, thanks for that. Crazy thing to witness and watch. So Winnie, what have you got? This is absolutely disgusting, and I don't even really want to talk about it, but a guy in Colorado ordered some guitar tuners from Amazon, and he got a bag of poop in the mail instead. Ooh. Well, I didn't know what it was because it was kind of dark. I had just gotten home from work. It was late at night, and I couldn't tell what it was, and I reached in, and then I smelled it, and it was on my hands, and there was poop in there. We haven't had any arguments with anybody or anything, and we see the drivers occasionally and then just say thanks, and that's about it. I never had any major issues with any of the drivers, so I have no idea. Poop-doo-doo-poop-scoop. There is a website that you can mail poop to people, so maybe they got him with it. Good news is he did get the guitar tuners. Oh, he did. Yeah, they were there. Oh, okay. But now he's got poopy paws. Yeah. Oh. Sorry. There's a lot of legs to this one. It happened in Philly on Wednesday. There was a couple in a Range Rover, a 2020 Range Rover at like four o'clock in the morning, so I don't know what was going on. I don't know if this was just like a hookup, like somebody meeting somebody to get a little something, something. Well, they were, and then somebody accidentally hit the gear shift, and they went into the Skookill River in the car. Oh, boy. Yeah, they're okay. They were able to swim out, boy. Yeah, they were rescued. Yeah. Yeah, they're fine. They car was, but what was going on there? Well, the question is, four o'clock in the morning, we know what was going on, but the big question is, what caused the shifter to move? Because they are probably, well, it was show time. Well, it was right, baby. Please. I believe this is in the police right there. They were in the back seat of the car with a woman accidentally. I don't know what appendage engaged the gear. Yeah. It must have been a stick. Well, and the car rolled into the water. Thank God they both got out. Thank goodness. And we're able to swim back to the shore. Now, that's a thrill. What a way to, you know, experience you went right over the side. Oh, boy. He really rocked her world, huh? Yeah. Either that or it was very frustrating. Nothing ever happened. This just screams a fair to me, right? Oh, yes. The timing of it. The timing of it. I like college kids. Yeah. And now everybody knows. Yeah. Yeah. Virginia run by kids. Young kids was robbed by a random adult. The thief actually got away with 40 bucks in cash days later. This is so cool. Bikers and the community came together and helped the stand make $6,200. Wow. Here's the mom and the child. I thought we were about to get another customer because he was acting all nice. I was in the middle of the lemonade when I was about halfway through. He stole the money while I wasn't looking. It's kind of like taking their innocence. I had to work through that and teach them about forgiving the guy too. He had 78 motorcyclists and 30 bicyclists all come along with a lot of other folks. We heard there was a whole other group of motorcycles coming from Newport News on their way. Yeah. It's something about, like, biker gang. You know, they get a bad rap. Obviously, there are bad characters and criminals and all that. But a lot of these biker games, games, you know, Hell's Angels and stuff, they do do to a lot of, you know, philanthropic work. Oh, yeah. And they do fundraising rides and stuff that raise a lot of money around the country. So absolutely. When do you got one? Yeah. Real quick. So there's a new trend, I guess, on social media where you go up to somebody, righteousness is kind of funny. So you walk up to a random person while you're filming and you'll be like, "I heard about you." So like, they think that, like, you're talking, like, you know something about them or accusing them of something. Yeah. But one grocery store, it happened and it did not go well. No. I heard about you. You ain't heard about me. Yeah, I heard about you. What you hear about me? I heard all about you. You ain't heard nothing. I heard about you. You gotta get out my face. Okay. I like it. I love that song. Why don't you delete it? Not sure. It's a little. No, I think she was just doing a limited time type of situation. It was a bonus song. I don't know who's turning Sabrina Carpenter down when she's coming over and taking her clothes on. Yeah. That's the real question. If you don't need my love, I know. But I have to say that her boyfriend in quotes Barry liked it and then said that his favorite song is Bedcam. So he was promoting this Busy Woman track and then so I don't know if they're still together or not. So you think Barry's got himself some Bedcam? Well, that's the thing everyone thinks the songs about him because it's talking about who's a boy in the white jacket with a cute accent. Yeah. I thought they were breaking up. We don't know. Well, maybe she released a song because he turned her down and he's the bitch ass. Right. See, we just unpacked. There you go. Barry, he's still liking all her stuff and living little fire emoji. And I heard a story that he is going to be joining the cast of Picky Blinders. Did you watch that show, Lisa? I did not, but it's like a really good show and very popular. So this will be a cool movie. Yeah. They're doing a Picky Blinders movie. In fact, Julian Murphy from Oppenheimer, didn't he win like every award there was for Oppenheimer? He's in the movie as well. And the first trailer from the new Rosemary's baby prequel dropped yesterday in Julia Garner from Ozark and inventing Anna is in it. We get a clip. There's something wrong with these people. I think something happened to the girl who lived here before me. They did ungodly things to her. And now they've chosen you. What do you mean? Did any of you see the original Rosemary's baby movie? No. It's pretty heavy. It is pretty heavy. I could see Julia Garner in this. And good news for fans of the show, Outer Banks, the first teaser from season four of Outer Banks dropped yesterday, which finally found the gold. That's where the story should have ended. But really, it was just the beginning. Nothing to lose? No, we got everything to lose this time. Now I like the first two seasons of Outer Banks, but in season three, you know what? It just took them too long to find the gold. Well, I mean, I really like the show. I will be watching, but it's like you have a bunch of high schoolers without parents just running around, doing all these things, crossing international waters. John B is played by a 32 year old leg, and we're supposed to leave this. We're going with it. We're going with it. We're going with it. You know? He's hot, though. Yes. It works. Season four, part one will drop October 10th, part two will drop November 7th. I used to feel weird watching it like, oh, I'm so attracted to him, but we're like the same age. She went to both shows, the second one by herself, and she was so close that when Usher walked alongside the stage, he got right up close, like face to face with her, and he sweated on her. Yeah. And honestly, I know no one knows who she is, like, not in a weird way, but I'm so proud of her for doing that because she's like, would never do anything like this alone. And she went and look what happens. When you do things alone and you live life for you, Usher sweats on you. You got to get out there. You got to get out there. Yeah. That's it. A couple of minutes ago, we're talking about Taylor Swift. This is incredible. They say those crazy terrorists that were planning the attack at Taylor Swift shows in Vienna, Austria, were actually planning. They've got evidence now. They were planning to kill tens of thousands of people. They had everything from knives and guns to bombs and chemicals. The level of destruction that could have happened, but the fact that Taylor was able to pull herself together, pull her team together, make Wembley safe and trust the people that were putting that show on to go back out and do it is next level. Man. Yeah. She's got a lot of courage. Well, it could have been horrible. Horrible. One of the doctors charged now in Matthew Perry's death is going to be in court today and apparently plead guilty, but Lisa, you were telling me it's kind of a plea deal here? Yeah. He could get 10 years, but they're trying to get two other people. Yeah. So got to talk about this story. It came over this morning. It's a tragic story and it's a breaking story. Johnny Goodrow, his nickname was Johnny Hockey. He played for BC, the BC Eagles, and also played in the NHL for the Blue Jackets. And this happened last night. He and his brother were out riding their bikes and they were both hit and killed by a drunk driver. Oh my God. Yeah. It's been all over the news. It just broke about an hour ago. Actually, producer Riley brought me the story. Well, she's America's number one hockey guy. She loves hockey. Yeah. But to Johnny Goodrow. This is a tragedy. He and his brother. And his sisters were supposed to get married this weekend. Yes. Like, that's why they're all there. Oh, God. It looks like it was an accident. The driver stayed on scene. We're back with a billy and Lisa in the morning on kiss 108 and we're back with one of the most unusual guests I think we've had in the history of the billy and Lisa morning show. And I say unusual because our special guest in studio is running 50 marathons and doing 50,000 pushups in all 50 states, Joe Nail, is it Nail or Nail Joe? Nail, like hammer to nail. You got exactly right. Yeah. You're going to nail that marathon tonight. Never heard that one. Okay. God, we all have so many questions. Okay. And my first question because this seems like an incredible undertaking is why. Yeah. Well, it's all to raise money and awareness for military veterans. My dad deployed to Afghanistan when I was in high school. That was the first time I thought about serving in a new form. I'm currently an army officer. And so the whole cause is to raise money for veterans transitioning from the military when they come back home to be able to go into leadership roles in their home communities. We ask our veterans and service members to do a whole lot physically, mentally, their families as well. And so even though what I'm doing may seem tough, I think pales in comparison to the sacrifices physically and otherwise that we ask of our service members every day. When did you start this? Start the project. Yes. So the goal is not just to complete them, but complete them in a relatively short time frame. So we started at the end of June and the goal is to do all of them in a single summer. So right now we're on track where 41 marathons and 41,000 push-ups done. So we just got nine left and then we'll knock it out. So got just a couple of weeks left. So tonight is number 43. 42. Yeah. 42. Okay. And it's in Boston. You're your race tonight. We're starting at the hatch shell at 630 p.m. And all paces are welcome. We'll have the first mile for anyone who wants to walk, jog, whatever they want to do. Anyone's welcome to come out. We invite everyone to dedicate their mile or however many miles they do to a veteran or service member in their life. And then for those who want to do the entire marathon, then you're welcome to join. Usually we're running the marathon around four hours, so about nine minute pace. So you'll be starting at the hatch shell? Yep. 630 p.m. You've even seen the course you're going to be running tonight? I've come to Boston and run before. So I'm somewhat familiar with the city, but no, I haven't run on the course. And that's okay. I mean, at this point, I'm kind of used to the unexpected. So the fact that we're running in a city and not like, for example, through the middle of the night past grizzly bears and bison and Yellowstone or whatever else is honestly a welcome change. So what's the scariest moment you've had on this journey? Oh, man. Well, please tell me it was a grizzly. I got, I got nearly impaled by a bison and Yellowstone. We ran the entire marathon. They call it a Lamar Valley is called America's Serengeti. So it's just like a collection of all the apex predators plus bison everywhere. And we ran the entire thing through the middle of the night. And so you can just imagine just a single person out running in the middle of the road. We had people out sitting on the sides of the vehicle, basically spotlighting with high powered flashlights, just calling out the various animals. We had a park ranger stop us and tell us you can't, or you really shouldn't be out here. And I just saw a grizzly bear cross the road five minutes ago in front of you. So that was pretty scary and a different category when we finished the marathon in Chicago on the south side. I don't want to speculate, but somebody right when we finished saw like our crew and you can imagine me like wearing very little clothing, having just finished the run and we have all these expensive cameras and he was reaching into his waistband and I'm trained as an army officer and he like changed his direction and started following us. So yeah, all the alarm bells for me were going off. So there's different challenges in every place, sometimes wildlife. Now, as an army officer, are you packing? I mean, with a gun, I wasn't asking about the mulch. I was hoping to be able to share this episode with my, with my mother. I asked you to keep it PG. So you travel with a team. I know Danielle and Drew are in the studio now. So what kind of a team, how many people you travel with? Yeah, we've had anywhere from including myself three to six people on the cruise. So consistently, we've always had a videographer because there's a documentary being done on the summer, which is really cool. And then we've always had at least one crew support person who can help with driving, handing me water bottles, all that kind of stuff. Beyond that, we've had folks working on outreach event coordination and then like a secondary videographer for some of the either harder to document locations or places where we have more going on. And you're hitting all 50 states. So when did you arrive in Massachusetts? I arrived yesterday. So so you owe us a thousand push-ups. We can do them right now. Well, I mean, it's funny you should say that's why I was going with this. Yeah, I need an accountability partner. Have you done any yet since arriving in Massachusetts? Yeah, I've already done 500. And who documents how many you've done? Yeah. Well, we have people on the crew who will basically sign off and then also we'll do video recordings. And so for some of the states also as kind of like a video montage to do on social media, we'll be like a time lapse of the thousand push-ups. So are we going to be in the documentary? Do you want to be? Well, yeah, that's why I'm thinking, you know what, I'm not going to ask a whole lot of you, but it's just so we can be a part of your journey. Can you give us 20? Sure. OK, Joe, I don't want to make a big deal about it, but Justin stuck right with you A and B, his arms were spread out further than yours. OK. Joe was an animal. That was that was like work. Do not come for Joe. I just watch the whole thing. I had the video. Joe was going at like he was going. Joe, I support you. That was awesome. You have to go chest the ground and I don't know. His might have flown in the Marine Corps, but not in the Army. Joe, you have the military one down. Perfect push up. Yeah, you don't. Your execution was very impressive. Your form. You were flat like a board. Perfect. But now you'd hope after 42,000 you would wear something. I can't do much of this for all, but I could do a push up. No credit. No credit. You want to be. You stayed with him. I stayed. I did my best. The best that you could do 25 push up. Wow. He's doing 50,000 push ups. Wow. So how many do you have in now in Massachusetts? That's 525. So you've done. Okay. So you're over halfway there. Yeah. No. And then so next you're going to Rhode Island, correct? Yep. Exactly. So I've seen your spacing. I know it's obviously it goes up and down and turning on how you're feeling. But every like two to three days you're doing a marathon. Yeah. The first week there was five marathons in the first week, most of the weeks after that was four. And now it's every other day. So like three and a half if you want to call it. How do you recover so quickly? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I was explaining this a little bit earlier. At the start, there was no recovery protocol was literally just get on a plane. So the first couple was ran the first one under the midnight sun in Alaska, ran through the night, immediately drove back from Denali to Anchorage, direct flight to Honolulu, showed up at midnight, ran again at 5 AM, flew to Los Angeles, ran the next day in Death Valley. So there was no recovery protocol. My body started breaking down. So now basically the keys are ice bath as quickly as possible afterwards. Oh, see that just in his into the ice bath. Okay. He doesn't choice it. It helps. I try to get 2,000 calories in as quickly after they're on as well, just like basically replace the glycogen stores and give your body something to recover with overnight. Using a shoe rotation is really helpful. If you run in the same shoes every time, you're more likely to have overuse injuries. So I rotate through basically four different types of shoes. Who are you wearing? On Nike. Oh, I love it. I'm a Nike girl, too. Yeah. Yeah. Well, they provide all the gear for the military and USA teams and then the Nike founders paying for my grad school right now. Oh my God. I'm loyal. Yeah. For sure. Joe, I don't mean any offense by this, but you are in the military. Yes. Okay. So are you a wall right now? I'm very so the military sponsors different competition teams. And so last year I qualified for one of their national marathon teams. And then earlier this year I qualified for the national endurance team, which is basically more like hybrid fitness, Spartan races, tough mutters, et cetera. So I already had basically a special designation through that. And then I got support from my chain of command and then all the way up to kind of the higher levels of the military to be able to do this. So I feel very grateful. Some of those counted towards like my training time, but in general, they've allowed me to basically make up time later to be able to cope and do this because of the cause. And one more question before we let you get back to your journey. And I know Justin wants to ask this, but I'll ask for him. His entire body is waxed. He's like a dolphin. And he wants to know what you all waxed up or I've never waxed in my way. Oh, you got to join the club. I'll leave that to the bodybuilders. I'm in a mountain infantry unit and the in the military. So we learned that having a little body hair is one of the biggest keys to winter survival. There you go. It might look good on the beach in Jersey Shore, but when you're at 14,000 feet, maybe not you. I can't believe you actually answered that question. 630 tonight, the hat shell, right? Oh God, I know that life all too well and also we had a topic about yard sales today. We have a big yard sale going on at my house this weekend that I'm really against. I don't want to do it, but my mother-in-law, who I love, she lives downstairs in my house. She's been planning this thing. It's the big event. So we had her on the phone. We call her Nani and she had some bad news for me. I also forgot to tell you, Justin, a couple of the neighbors are going to come over and bring some of their stuff. Oh my God. This is getting big. This is what happens with yard sales. Everybody runs in. We live in a cul-de-sac. Yeah. I love this. So I'm leaving the show today going home and lugging all of the junk out of her garage and setting up the table. So yeah, it's going to be a great long weekend and, you know, if you're around, come on by. Hey guys, you guys are doing such a great job talking out the yard sale. And we just had Joe Nail on. He's running 50 marathons in 50 different cities doing Boston tonight plus a thousand pushups. This guy has been everywhere, Alaska, Hawaii, Yellowstone. I got nearly impaled by a bison in Yellowstone. We ran the entire marathon. They call it a Lamar Valley is called America's Serengeti. So it's just like a collection of all the apex predators plus bison everywhere. And we ran the entire thing through the middle of the night. Yeah. This guy is a super athlete. Yeah. And he's doing it all for a good cause. Yeah. He's like next level fit. Yeah. Yeah. So off the air before the interview, I said to him, you know, I do a little bit of running, but I just feel like it's it's not like it's not good to do heavy leg training weightlifting and run. You got to pick one or the other. He looks at me and goes, that's what I do. He does heavy leg training and running. Of course you can. It's just an excuse. And I'm like, yeah, and can I tell you we just took a picture with him and I got to say next to him and have an arm around him. It was very nice. Yeah. It was working for you. Yeah. It was working for me. He's just super fit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He has that Tom Brady like glow. Yeah. He's like six four, right? You think? He's tall. Pretty tall. He's very tall. Six four, like slender fit. Yeah. He's beautiful. He had a hair. He gave up two more inches. Really nice smile. He gave me Tom Brady fun. Yeah. So yeah, he's a he's an army. He's in the army and he's doing this all to raise money for veterans. So tonight six thirty hat shell. You can go. He's filming a documentary.
