Good afternoon, I'm Kate Capadditch in the TV six newsroom with your on-the-go headlines for Monday, September 9th. McComb, Illinois police are searching for a missing man. 46-year-old Joseph Bernack was last seen by family on August 21st. Police learned he drove to Black Hawk State Park in Rock Island that day. His vehicle was located at the park, but he has still not been found. Anyone with information should contact McComb police or the McDonough County area crime stoppers. We also have this information on our news app and website. A juvenile was taken into custody Saturday after making what authorities call "threats in a school setting" in Jackson County. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the juvenile made a verbal comment that suggested an act of violence on school grounds. The juvenile is also accused of continuing a pattern of criminal behavior in both Jackson and Clinton counties. This incident is still under investigation. Happening tonight, the Davenport Community School Board will vote on a new schedule for high school students next school year. The proposed schedule is a change from their current block schedule to what they are calling an "enhanced" block schedule. Students would have the option to take a 90-minute class for a quarter, a 45-minute class for a semester, and a 45-minute class for a quarter. Officials say the enhanced block schedule is more flexible and will provide students with more choices. Tonight's school board meeting is set to begin at 5.30 pm. Taking a turn to weather, a quiet weather pattern will set up this week, allowing for attempts to slowly warm each day. After a cooler start this morning, we will end up in the low 80s with comfy humidity. After that, each day will get warmer and more humid, eventually ending up near 90 degrees by Thursday and feeling like the middle summer again. While there is no big storm system bringing chances, it will slowly start to cool back to the mid-80s again by the weekend. That wraps up your on-the-go headlines for Monday, September 9th. In the TV6 Newsroom, I'm Kate Copadge.
