[MUSIC PLAYING] Hey, guys. Welcome in to the Gorilla Sports Podcast. I'm your host, Alex Bloopen. And it is Thursday, September 5th, which means it's opening night for football season. I am pumped up. I can't wait. What a great game to start us off. We got Chiefs and Ravens tonight. Can't wait. All right, let's recap from yesterday. We had six batter parlays. We ended up going three and three. So unfortunately, so we had 12 batters going. We had nine of them correct again. So we had three plays that were winners and three plays that all had one correct and one incorrect on them. So again, really close from a profitable day. But hey, this is how she goes. Let's get into it. We took Bobby Witt and Corbin Carroll together. That was a winner. We took Marcel O'Zuna. We paired him with Aaron Judge. Judge did not come through. O'Zuna did. Then we took Jake Berger. We paired it with Taylor Ward. That was a winner for us. And then Stephen Kwan at a minus 350 did not come through. And our boy, our boy, Lawrence Butler, came through again. This guy is on fire. Then we took Gunnar Henderson. And we paired it with Francisco Lidor, winner, winner. And then we took Vladigorero. And we paired it with Jordan Alvarez. Vladi came through as he does. And Jordan Alvarez did not. Now, I was literally talking about how I love the fact that they put Alvarez in the two hole because behind him was Breggman in the three hole. And then they couldn't pitch around him like they were doing. So what did they do? They move up Peña to the three hole and put Breggman in the four hole. What are you guys doing? Anyway, so that was a loser. We ended up going three and three. I got some plays going today. And we got some football plays going today. All right, let's talk-- let's go football first. All right, first things first, if you're living in Ontario, you have the FanDuel Kansas City Chiefs to complete one pass. Now, they let you max bet it at $50. But this is an absolute guaranteed winner. If you only have $50 in your account, don't make any other plays. Just put your $50 on that bet. If you have $22.46, all of it goes onto this play. It will not lose. It can't lose. Will they complete one pass? They've never not done that in the history. This is literally they're trying to give you free money so that you can go and lose it next week. But if you're following the Gorilla Sports Podcast, we all know that ain't going to happen. So that's number one. You have to have this play. Even if you have already plays and you don't have any money, cash out. This will absolutely win. We don't need your $10,000 touchdown parlay that you think might have a chance to win. It ain't going to win. This is. So make sure-- first things first, do that. Next, look at your sports books. So everybody with football season starting wants you to bet on their site. So have a look. There's going to be sweat free. Same game parlays. There's going to be boost. There's going to be free bets. So I know both on DraftKings and FanDuel and Bet365, they all have free same game parlays for this game. So let me give you a couple of examples of things that I've already taken. Now, unfortunately, if you were listening yesterday, we did a live-- we did a live podcast with my buddy Jeremy Webb. I'm going to put that out onto the podcast shortly. And that's going to go through this game. And actually, most of the games we went through through the Sunday and Friday and Thursday slate. So we got you covered there. My first play, I bet this on its own. And I also put it into a same game parlay. We're taking Patrick Bahom's over. Now, I got it at 258.5. This is when football starts getting weird because these numbers start flying. Like when we're betting baseball and basketball, these numbers are going to change a half a unit-- or excuse me, a half a point here and there, a half a juice point here and there before I get them out to you from the mornings the afternoon. But when money starts flowing in like it does in football, these numbers start moving and they start moving fast. So now I know what's up to about 266. I still don't mind it. Check this out. So Mahomes has played four regular season games and one playoff game versus Baltimore in his career. So five games. He's averaging 344 yards over those five games. We need him at 265, 268, 270, somewhere where you can get it now. Again, I got it at 258, so I'm pretty happy about that number. But in the four regular season games versus Baltimore, he averages 369.8 yards per game. Averages it. Not that he just had this big 360 yard game versus them. No, no, that's the average over the four games, meaning he's higher or lower, getting right in the middle of that. He's also averaging three touchdown passes, averaging three touchdown passes. He's got 119.1 QB rating. That is just monstrous numbers. I love that. So that I bet by itself and I put that onto a same game parlay. My next play is I'm going to take Derek Henry over 63 and 1/2 rushing yards. I see that it's up to about 64, 65. I would play that up all the way up to about 67 and 1/2, 68 and 1/2. I think he's going to smash over this. Now he's covered this in five straight games versus the Chiefs. He averages 112 rushing yards versus the Chiefs. And this is on the Tennessee team where everyone knows all they could do is run. So they're stacking the boxes against him. Let's see what happens. Obviously, it's a new team in Baltimore. And they're having a bit of offensive line troubles, but you don't know who they're going to give the ball to. Is it going to stay in Henry's hands or is Lamar going to take it running? You never know. So this is going to be-- you can't just cover Derek Henry like you have been against Tennessee. This is going to be an interesting season for Derek Henry. I like him. So I did a standalone bet on that as well. And I put that as my same game parlay. And our last one is we're going to take Travis Kelsey over 57 and 1/2 receiving yards. Now he's covered this in six straight games versus Baltimore, including over 100 yards in his last two games. Obviously, those were playoff games and more important, but he went 116 and 109 over his last two. So almost doubling the number that we need from them. Now I know they're kind of bringing Kelsey back down to Earth a little bit to try and save him for the playoffs. This is the opening game. They had the big Hangover game last year. And everyone's like, oh, what's wrong with the Chiefs? They just lost to the Lions. Well, it turns out the Lions were actually a good team last year. So them losing to the Lions wasn't that far-fetched. And they had no receiving core whatsoever last year. So I like Travis Kelsey over his 57 and 1/2. And when you pair the three of those together, you get a plus 338. Now I use that for my same game parlay. You got a $25 sweat free. So if it loses, you get your money back. So it only pays about 110, 112 bucks, something like that. But I think it's got a really good shot of winning. And another one, I kind of like Kansas City straight up on the money line. Now if you can get the minus 2 and 1/2 over the minus 3, that's fine, that's better. But yeah, Kansas City 4 and 1, their last 5 versus Baltimore. And historically, Mark Andrews has been horrible versus Kansas City. And Lamar Jackson as well has not done well against Kansas City. And you give Andy Reid time versus a team. I think he's got a good shot at winning this game outright. Another look I was looking at, if it goes the way I think it is, I like Isaiah Pacheco over 14 and 1/2 rushing attempts. Means every time they hand the ball off to him, I think he's going to get 15 of them. Now he covered this in five of his last six regular season games. The only time he didn't was a weird one Christmas game, if you remember. They were playing against the Raiders. And the Raiders scored two defensive touchdowns. So the game was kind of getting away from Kansas City, so they had to throw their way back in the game. So he only got, I think he was 9 or 10 that game. So he was way off of the number. But he had the one playoff game versus Baltimore already last year. And he had 24 attempts. So he absolutely sailed over that number. And if Kansas City has the lead in the fourth quarter, he can get seven, eight rushes in a row as they're trying to kill the clock as they're-- I think they're going to win the game. So if that script goes the way I think it is, Isaiah Pacheco will be heavily involved in the run game. So getting him over 14 and 1/2 rushing attempts, I like that as well. That'll conclude. That'll should give you enough for the Thursday night game. I took a deep dive into that one, and I really liked that one. And I got three batter parlays that I like today. Our first one is we're going to go to Juan Yepa as of the Washington Nationals. This guy is an absolute left-handed pitching crusher. He's one for two versus Bailey Faulkner. So I like him. And we're going to pair it with Lewis Aries of the San Diego Padres, and he's got 335 versus right-handed pitching. He's got two hits and five out of his last seven games. He's going versus Casey Meyers. He gives up 10.58 hits per nine. So that's a good look for him. And then we are going to go take our boy Lawrence Butler. This guy is just on fire. He's on a 14-game hitting streak. He's got two plus bases in nine straight games. Now that's an Oakland A's record, so he's just set the record. And we're going to pair him with Marcelo Zuna, who's got 305 on the year. He's got a hit in 17 of his last 19 games. So that's a good look for those two guys together. I'm actually going to probably take a couple other plays on Lawrence Butler himself. Now he's going versus Brian Wu of the Seattle Mariners. But this guy's not invincible. He's a great pitcher, absolutely. But Butler is just seeing the ball so well right now. I think I'm just going to take him over his 1 and 1/2 bases. You get that at a minus 105. So I'm probably putting a little half unit play on that one. This guy is just on fire right now. And then our last play is we're going to take Taylor Ward of the LA Angels. Oh my god, this kid's on fire too. He's on a 14 game hitting streak. He crushes left handed pitching. He's got 356 versus lefties. And he's got four home runs over his last five games. So that is a monster. And we're going to pair with Brian Reynolds with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He's got a hit in eight of his last 10 games. And he's going versus Jake Irving, who started off the season really well. But he's given up five or more hits in six straight games, including eight hits in three out of his last five games. So he's just absolutely giving up a ton of contact right now. Brian Reynolds, the contact machine, lives at the top of the order. So I love that pair of Taylor Ward and Brian Reynolds together. All right, guys, I got a ton of plays on that Thursday night. I got some plays coming in the Packers and Eagles tomorrow. If you're rocking with me, let's roll.
