You already know we spinach different left. I watch the most incredibly average big game pre-game speech ever bro. So on SEC Network there's a series called The Pulse and they follow different teams throughout the year. This year one of the teams they follow or are following is the Texas A&M Act. Texas A&M Act and Coach Elko his pre-game speech was absolutely me. It was the world. I'm sitting here and I say that I say that because we saw Marcus Freeman coming out the tunnel. We've had several players in the post name and throughout this week talking about the pre-game speech that he gave and how everybody in the room was fired up. GAs coaches players everybody was fired up about what Marcus Freeman said pre-game and then he got to be more fired up as he left on the tunnel. Yeah, right. Ladies and gentlemen I wish I had the clip. Copyright infringement I really I it would be audio and I just decided to let it go but if you have a chance to DVR or look it up on YouTube the post Texas A&M episode one from this year because it goes to their fall camp and does the Notre Dame game. It was it was oh it was the most he happened to use AI. He happened to you he had to use AI for that. It was the most uninspiring pre-game big game. It was just I was like Mike that for your first one and for that one to be your first one. I expected a little bit more left. I did. I did. Well how can you? He's never been a raw raw guy anyway. He always felt like he gave me corporate office presentation PowerPoint slide speeches. Yeah yeah super chat with my guy Andy Milton fan. But you said pre-game speeches can ruin the mood. You said that. You had your most tense moment right before you run out and then you get this lame, unenergetic speech. You're just like oh my god. It's all a build right? It's a build. It's a build that you flattened my build off. Yeah yeah. Give me all my need for a long time and you just it's too quiet and you ain't talking about nothing and we don't believe you. So yeah yeah. I love this. I love them in the tunnel. Left. You love them getting hyped in the tunnel right and it was authentic. It was authentic. It was authentic. It wasn't like a post game Brian Kelly. Yeah well or pregame Brian Kelly we just standing there in the middle like man move around like you know you like you the statue we rolling out the tunnel. I'm just gonna finish this whole conversation and chat off. Ladies and gentlemen. I'm a grown man. I deal with things face to face. I don't have to go on somebody's platform to deal with things. Old boy has my phone number. Oh we'll just put it out. Yeah he has my phone number. If he really wanted to get after me and say something he should have done that. You don't wait to come on a platform. That's enough said. That shows me everything. Well he got you know yeah and I have I have communicated and everything that he put about what he gave. I literally text him after that September 20th and thank him for what he did. After that. After that. There was correspondence and now you know this show button today. I don't even know I don't know you know what father God whatever this gentleman is dealing with in his life whatever has his spirit man off an unbalanced we speak that you bring his life and everything back into balance that he would be able to move forward and move on from things that he's holding on from over a year ago. It's obviously it's really burdensome to him. So free him of that and release him into his blessings and abundance in his future. In Jesus name. Amen. What did you say you said? No that's real. I don't have time. I don't have time. I don't listen to his blessing Shire Lisa. You had to. I don't have time because I don't hold on to that stuff. I told him. I moved on. There was a correspondence even after that. And if he wanted to say something he could have called me. Could have called you the number put you out there. Tell you out there. Or text me. This is the sample is that waiting to come to a platform. Come on. How many chances is this staff gonna give meals? Has he actually gotten any better in the last two years or oh can he live so much ultimately he gets bullied more than anyone on an all 22 Riley Mills. I'm assuming he's talking about Riley. Oh well I don't think any I don't think anybody really thought Riley was like a rounds he's not a he's not a foul ski. He's not a he's a Kurt Heinrich you know he'll probably make a team and you know be a compliment to a superstar guy somewhere but Riley was never the the ex-facting ex-factor weight anchor of the different. We're like oh man without Riley we couldn't do this that other. Riley's just been a player that's developed over time earned his stripes. He gives good production. It may not be what we want from a jailist need or some of these younger impact players but you know Riley understand this is his last year because he probably sees a writing on the wall the talent in the D line room was getting recruited what's happening in shaping the program. Him, Steve, all these guys are like yeah this is probably my last one. Yeah you're getting pushed out through the ball raising. Would Riley be recruited now in 2024 as a freshman? Probably not because the standards have changed. Hell Riley you got to do three or four different things on your film now. You got to run down on special teams. You got to play defense line. You got to play a little bit of office line. Hell if you play tight end and catch the ball you got to do a little bit of that too. Recruit is different. So yeah this is like that's what I said if Steve don't play now he'll never play because the bar has been raised. He just happened to fit that that 10 years so we didn't want to get rid of you know you keep that 10 year position but after that you got to hey we got up and come in talent that need to play. All you got is to me sort of writing on it. He said hell I can't come back and I'm about to get drafted. I can't come back. Which is fine. You know yeah he said. All right still 63 appreciate you for tapping in. Gaze the success of this game by when Angeli comes in. What is the best case, worst case would be he doesn't make it in I guess. He doesn't make it. He doesn't make it. Yeah he plays what success I guess but Steve this game he comes in. I thought he's playing. He should if he doesn't play it would be disappointing to me. It would be disappointing on the staff. It would be disappointing to me for the staff. How are you not preparing a game that you know you should win by having a plan for these younger guys to get in or get filtered throughout the game because we're thinking long-term we're not thinking all we have to win is for nothing. This is this is only setting the stage for how we execute these other games right. I mean we need to have a plan in place if you put me in guys that are young. You got to surround them with guys that know what they're doing and you're not just gonna put a full fresh young team out there you're gonna try to intermix them and you know you want to get experience because by the time game 12 comes everybody on the roster and he's just have that built-up experience you know. I agree with that. I agree with that. Absolutely. Is everything is by committee now? I mean why not? No this one from Geno. Just a comment from you both Sean and we appreciate y'all much y'all do for us here. We thank you. We don't do foolishness. Shout out Malik for coming through the alumni joint too. Geno yeah you're out there in Arizona. It's good for you to tap in with us. We appreciate you my dude. Love and appreciate you. Anything else before we get to let's see. I think that's it. I think that's it. All right love. Let's get to some of these players and what they say at this week. Nor the Illinois comes in to face off against Notre Dame 330 Eastern time and Bo Collins talked about handling things and moving forward. For sure man it's really about body language man like the guys they a lot of younger dudes look up to guys like myself and just see how we react to things how we prepare like pre-game stuff like if we're out there just looking around and all and things like that. So they're definitely going into it with a mindset of just going in there executing and handling our businesses this big time. Uh it's just like a guy that understands the mission. I mean he came as a transfer. He said look I'm coming here to do business. We come here to win these games and make sure guys are in the right spot. So and in his shows it shows that he's about his business for him to be able to make an impact when we haven't heard much from him on offseason. I know he was nursing the injury or coming back but for him to have the mindset to come back and be a significant player in the game and making plays when his numbers called. That's credit to Bo being ready for the moment and he obviously came from Clemson a good program. They've been the championships before so he knows that environment and it fits. I mean you can tell that him and Riley have some synergy and hopefully grows over the over the year. Yeah I agree man. I absolutely agree. So also Bo Collins talked about making plays and um just listen to this love. I'm very interested especially in you here what he said about opportunities in the Texas A&M game. And I knew I could get some of those deballs going but I wasn't overly anxious wasn't pushing it for you know Riley to speed up his reads or anything like that. I just wanted him to be comfortable back there get the rhythm of the game and things like that and he was all going to take care of himself. And kind of kind of a two-war question one for you to talk about why I see this game you know they won't the ball. Yeah sure. And once you guys want to take a top off maybe you have like Chris Mitchell but also how important and intentional wasn't blocking in that match with you guys on the outside. Oh yeah man games like that of course game one you want the rock like we practice a whole bunch of plays where we're going deep deep balls um head top of them and stuff like that but uh you know just focusing on our job whatever needed to get done at that moment even coach Brown mentioned um but prior to the game that morning like we may have to run the ball sixty times or we may throw it sixty times whatever you got to do to get your job done do it. So that's mindset we're not there with it. Is that trouble you love? He said I'm not going to sweat Riley to get through his progressions and he said like I got a nose where Riley can do shit. I mean hey if you get hammered and you get hammered and now I'm not going to ask you to hammer the nail like you know he puts you on the screwdriver. I thought did that kind of sound strange I was like is he supposed to be saying this? Yeah I'm about to stress this man. If I get opportunity I get opportunity man I'm you know we'll work on pressing I can't imagine. I mean probably half the time they probably feel bad pressing him because he uh you know he's in the faith so you don't want to feel like you're pressing the wrong button so I do think that that's that's mature of a guy like both colleagues to say but at the same time I mean hell we got hella hella receivers now. Bo's just saying today was my day tomorrow maybe Jordan Greyhouse day maybe Jaden Thomas day whatever but today was my day I'm not going to trip over me getting it more but when he did get it he made it count and it and it won the game for us. I just really think that what he said is absolutely hilarious bro. Yeah yeah absolutely hilarious. I ain't gonna sweat he yeah it was funny. Ladies and gentlemen man I tried to pray. I literally tried to pray for the situation that a dude just won't stop man. I need everybody look it doesn't need to be a battle on the chat. Leave him leave him alone. He feels the way he feels. I don't need protection. I don't need protection. I'm good. I'm good yeah. I'll let it go. I've been released into my future bro. I don't I don't have an issue with anybody. I don't hopefully his heart can let it go. As far as him talking about I told him I was gonna get back to him. Dude I got receipts. Yeah I keep text messages bro. Text messages. All I see is September 15. Well done. Next thing November 30th sending me TikTok videos. December 13th sending me other videos. Then talking about his family. It's cousin doing charity work. So all it is bro. God bless you. All of this stuff. What happened? This is after September. After September he's sending me all this stuff saying God bless you. And now he wants to step He wants to step on the platform today and have an issue. When he's been texting me the entire time after September 23rd. That's that's that's where this corn ball for me bro. Like what are we doing? What are we doing? You take the time to text me about everything else and now you want to step on the platform and get a spotlight. That's not the way you do things bro. Well you want to say if you want to say the way I spoke to you is not the way you do things. The way you're operating as a man is not the way to handle things. It's not. So there you go. There you go. And my phone is still right here. The numbers still the same. Still haven't received anything since you feel that way. Lucky left the podcast. Jaylen Snead said he was fired up not only after the game but for last week's game. And then going into this week wait till you hear what he says moving forward left. What he talked about being fired to see all my boys playing fast playing hard. Coach Freeman really talked us before the game and like he really got us all hyped up. So we're all ready to go. So it was a great game. Talk about that moment. That's viral. You know like Freeman after the fight. You guys have we've never seen it. Have you guys ever seen it. You know free game. What was it like to have a monitor? I've never seen it but I know it got me fired up. I was ready to go after that. So Jamie was in the back and he probably couldn't see over the office of Lyman. So he really never saw Marcus Freeman but he was like yo he already had us fired up from the locker. Like even if I didn't see that he didn't pull a Mike Delco free game. He he gave a good speed. He was swimming like the kids coming out of the tunnel. That's why I played for him. Ladies and gentlemen they're close to the bigger. No he lives with the team. He lives with the long back. He lives with the long back. He lives with the little bitches off season and got a little yeah he looked at him. That shirt was a little speed image. Because they say they say they said Coach that shows how to do some of these drills now. He was like what he did. He had to wrap up a speed agility all that man. Coach still got it. Coach still got it. See Mark Elco you can tell the speech wasn't gonna be good. His belly got bigger since I last seen him. He waddling down the tunnel. You know guys guys trying to move fast and urgent. He ain't moving fast and urgent. So your speech ain't fast and urgent. You know Marcus Freeman sweating like he about to put on the helmet. How you not want to play for that? Man it's funny. It's funny. Hey guys leave a let him let him be man. I told let him be. Yeah stop stop. Stop feeding. Stop feeding the energy man. Let him be. If he wants that attention I pray for him twice bro. Pray for him twice. Try to release it. Move on. It's it's ill. Stop. He obviously just will never admit to anything. He's a victim. He's a victim and it's cool. It's cool man. Let him let him have his platform boy. He wants his 15 minutes of his hour to day. Let him have it's okay. God bless him. God bless him. So I got a Lavon Whitaker axe Jaylen Smith this week about being hyped and coming off a big win. And you know I stepped down at competition and Jaylen Smith had this to say. I love this Notre Dame fans. Take a listen. There's no thing Illinois doesn't have the same level like you know for us it does. Yeah it's the same level important. It's a great game. We're gonna come playing fast and hard. Okay. Okay Jason Dean. You try. You know like man you know it's not the same height. Same not level done on Jason. He's like no man. Mm-mm. No sir. We bring it. Yeah. I like that. I like that focus. I like that focus. Love guys that give no excuses. We just don't get it done. I mean hey they've trained so long to prepare for these 13 14 moments. And so you know I think him especially his journey specifically no this year. He like me. I don't care. Let me just get out there. Fly around make some plays and I think the freedom that Max Bullock and Marcus Freeman allows these linebackers to play with. You see the flashes. You see Drake blowing stuff in the whole creating piles. You see Jayless need smacking stuff out of bounds. You see Jack Keiser and those and those linebackers. Always Barry and those guys to see how they're they're moving with intention and they're moving with urgency. That's not like they're sitting there trying to read everything and then break down everything they see in there. They see a key. They hit a key. They run and get into the ball. So that's the youth that I think we need defensively and it's showing up and hopefully it shows up this week too. Yeah it's I'm having fun now left. I'm having fun now right. Because now the chat my text was super mean. He's telling the text that you sent to me. Yeah oh yeah. Yeah now yeah he's the victim and you the bully shot. I said dude I do. Two stay away. Is he talking about September 23rd two down two eight three. Me. That's February 20th two down twenty four. Just checking on you. Maliki and I haven't seen you on the show in a while. He blessed. That's the hell of a mean text love. You the bully man. Once again April 10th man just checking on you. We hope you're doing well. Because we appreciate you. You know what the next text for me. He didn't respond to that. You know the next text I got. I heard Ryan party ways for Driscoll. Is that true? Oh look he looking for school. Looking for schools. What? And I'm like he took a full time job. Like no he's still going to be connected to IB. Thank you. I'm glad for him. I am too. So I'm supposed to be on a mean tweet. You know that segment. Yeah you want a nice show. I'm supposed to be a mean tweet man. Come on man. Like I said dude my character around the people that I grew up with that I live for that I serve. Man they speak to it right. Stop. You don't have to stop bro. We've been talking all year long off and on. If you felt that way from something that happened in September 23rd 2023. Why are you false flagging and tweeting me and texting me. Not the false flagging. Why? Why? And stop playing. You don't rock with me. Stop texting me. Stop. Stop. What'd you say? We'll see. Yeah. Checked up on. Don't. Don't. No. Egg right through. Literally. He heard about my father on the podcast and text me. And I said thank like what are we talking about. When did this become contentious bro. If you had an issue from September 23rd 2023 you should not have been texting me like everything was all good. That's not the way things work with adults. It's not. It's not. Okay. I'm trying to step on a platform and like bro. Stop. Stop. I told you I'm a different dude. Don't. Don't. Don't do that. Don't. Don't do that man. Don't do that. It's going to be a very simple text. He said he's going to jump in the chat and say something and say I want crickets. And I just pointed out seven months of text messages after the alleged incident. But you want to jump in the chat like I text him and then about it. And then it was crickets. We kept texting. Stop. Just let it go. Let it go. And now you're in the chat trying to make fun of what I went through last year with my chemotherapy and radiation. Trying to minimize it. But you think you're the only person that went something. Where are you going with this man? What do you want out of this? What do you want? Yeah. Please tell me what you want and we can just be done bro. Because at this point it's really is what are we doing? What are you doing? Because now you're getting people in the chat riled up and I'm trying to get them to stop coming at you. What is it that you want? Because obviously you're just expressing your feelings bro. You're in your feelings that you want to get on the show bro. You can get you on the show man. That's fine. That's cool. That's cool. All the extra stuff man. We're trying to do a nice show. Give our predictions and get out here. Mike then Brock bro. Yeah that's to say. It's both of those guys deserve to have their hands on the football. So you know I think as the year goes along there'll be games where Jeremiah gets the bulk of the carriers. There'll be games maybe where JD gets the bulk of the carriers and we're we're using Jeremiah maybe in different ways. But you know those guys are important pieces of what we do offensively and they both have to be a big piece of it. Yeah that's why I left. I can't when you say I forgot was it I forget I don't want to say the wrong person but someone in the chat earlier said what's a big game for Rowley's men against NYU. I do. A big game's got to be obviously you know early on doing what he does best. So if his strength is running around and shit then this this good game is having 200 yards running around and shit. Couple touchdowns you know things that wolf we were infatuated with while he was at Duke. We wasn't infatuated with him at Duke doing Sam Hartman things. So that wouldn't be I mean it would be a big game for his personal growth to have a Sam Hartman stat line or a Jack Holmes stat line. But that's that's just not his strength so I guess you know a big game for Rowley's men is whatever he does well running around the running around stats need to look good and a reflection of a good game that he's a part of is us scoring over 40 points. So I thought you can quantify it in a sense you know so I think I get the sense. I apologize but not connecting with you to talk about the 23rd of September 2023 because obviously that's what you want to hear. I'm sorry that I didn't contact to talk about that. Yeah but you messed up man dang man that's how he wanted because he needs obviously it's something. No it's big deal. Now it's dude close the line Sean. I don't do I don't that's your feelings. I respect your feelings. It's a funny thing. My apologies. My glad though. I said I won't get back to you. I don't remember back then. I said you I would get back to you. I didn't find but as a man when things like that happen like I do with my best friends when they say they're gonna get back to me on something you know what I do. I hit them again or I reach out because maybe maybe just maybe something happened. Maybe something had transpired in their life. You know what let me make sure they're good. That's all bro. And if that's what you need I have no problem. I'm not prideful at all. I hope that's enough for you. I really do. As I said before my prayer was authentic man. I need you to be real because that's something you you've been holding on to that. You've been holding on to that. You need to be released from that man. Because I don't want that to have a domino effect. It impacts other relationships you have with people. I don't want that for you. I don't want you to go yelling at you. I apologize how that impacts you. See people that don't really mean it. They say stuff like I apologize if. Or they hit you with the I sorry you feel that. I'm sorry I impacted you. Yeah that's a kind of video. All right. Because it's really not. I obviously you it was serious. It was deep. Yeah. Obviously it was. Man I didn't know I was gonna have to be ministry work and post the show today bro. One man army Anthony Knapp. He gave kudos to Marcus Freeman pre-game too. Anthony Knapp getting ready for his first start at left tackle in Notre Dame State. It's so electric. It's just having someone like that in your corner saying they believe in you. It makes you just want to go run through a brick wall. You know I mean they helped in the choices that helped me be in that position where I am today. So um it just gives you that extra burst of confidence that I know what I can do. I know I'm here to you know not make it bigger than what it is. Um you know trust your guys because they're gonna trust you. And it just helped out a whole bunch to be honest with you. It was funny because Anthony Knapp man let me tell you some Anthony Knapp was one of the realest interviews. They asked him about that game bro. He was like yo. He was like man I ain't know. Let me I'm paraphrasing. He was like love. He was like I ain't know. Yes. Yes. He was honest. He was honest. I ain't know. He was like yo I knew who I was going up against. I'm a freshman. Man. He said but after the first two snaps I knew I had my my technique down. I knew my technique could work. I knew I belong. He was like from that point on I just just played. Went to the next plate. Went to the next plate. But that man that's real. I love athletes that can just be honest like amen. Yo. Yo like like your boy Isaiah likely last night. I don't know where he's from. They got him from Baltimore. They got him from the city of Baltimore. If that's if that's the best they got. They didn't trouble in the post trouble. Pat just beat you with the worst team he had. He literally walked into your building. Went 10 for 10 first quarter. 10 for 10 the first quarter. He literally took his worst team. Came to your stadium and beat you when you were the number one seed. And you had the nerve to sit there and say if that's the best they got they beat you with the worst they had in the postseason. This stuff like that. He he doesn't know what it takes bro. He doesn't know. He doesn't know what it takes. I always fund you. I was funny. I was funny. I was funny. I was funny. It was funny because he he's like always he's speaking from a very uh what you call that uh high inside view. Like a very fresh emotional view. He ain't thinking down the line. He's thinking right now. Like we had to go go back outside after this little interview and play right now. We got you. He ain't thinking oh I got a week two against Miami week three against Paige's week four against. Yeah he got a whole season. This one game ain't going to start nothing now. Thanks. Let me go to the podcast. Have you heard about the 2018 study that showed half of prenatal vitamins tested had unacceptable levels of heavy metals? No well now you have. I'm Kat mother of three and founder of ritual the company making traceability the new standard in the supplement industry. I remember staring at my prenatal vitamins and finding all these things I was trying to avoid high amounts of heavy metals synthetic colorants and unnecessary ingredients. So at four months pregnant I quit my job and started ritual because I believe that all women deserve to know what they're putting in their bodies and why. I'm so proud of our prenatal vitamin. The ingredients are 100% traceable. It's third party tested for microbes and heavy metals and recently received the purity award from the clean label project. You see we trace like a mother because let's be honest no one cares quite like a mother. But don't just take my word for it. Trace for yourself with 25% off at virtual.com/podcast.
