And just because you get the communist to change his language or tactics doesn't necessarily mean you have dissuaded him from his goal of revolution. So Michigan Tech, Michigan Technological University. They realize that DEI is now getting a bad name. A lot of this you're seeing a lot of this out there. DEI is going poorly. Major American brands are backing off of it. Hey, we're not doing anymore. DEI. We're backing off it. I know Disney's going the other way, but a lot of American brands, even universities are backing off it. We know more DEI. We're done with DEI. Always pay attention though, because at Michigan Tech, it's just being rebranded, you see. Now, instead of the office of diversity and inclusion, you'll love this gosh, these friggin hippie fruitcakes. Now, it's known as engagement and belonging. What a bunch of dork losers, but just because they're taking the DEI sign down doesn't mean they're removing DEI. Oh, I almost forgot to let you know this hour. About a half hour from now, Selena Zito is going to be joining us. She just interviewed JD Vance earlier today. And I want to get her take on him. I want to get her her measure of the man. And I want to find out, remember, she travels the country in these Rust Belt swing states. She's all over Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania and all these places. I'm going to find out from her what is, what is the mood of the country? You know me. I've been telling you, I'm feeling hopeful about the election, but Selena is more than willing to pop that balloon if she's hearing otherwise. I want to know what domes reputation is in the swing states. I want to know if the Democrat plan of picking Tim walls to try to appeal to Midwestern white people who they hate, right? They just they openly hate white people now. Did the Tim walls ruse work? I don't know. It's talk to Selena about that man a half hour from now. All right. All right, let's do some emails oracle. I live in communist Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. And there are commercials on the radio with old white dudes talking about protecting the legacy of their farms and providing power to their communities by turning into solar and wind farms. It's disgusting. God save us if the communists win this November. I'm nervous. That is a shame about Harrisburg, how that it's losing its mind because I love Harrisburg, PA. I got to go to Harrisburg for my book tour, popped into our amazing affiliate there. I just love that. See, I love Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania period. And I know it's just because I'm kind of from that area. I'm from Ohio, right on the Ohio River. But I dig Harrisburg. I really it bothers me the states like Harris or states like Pennsylvania states like Colorado, states like California, I will include in this Washington. I will include in this states that have this blood red population, hardcore anti-communists. But the urban areas are so they're so populated. And they're so despicable that the red areas never get representation. And the people suffer there. Eastern Washington is sweet. But people think when they think of Washington, they think, Oh, it's all blue like Seattle is. It's not all blue. When they think of California, same thing. Well, it's LA. Well, those San Francisco liberals, San Francisco is the exception. That's where all the population is though. It's all along the coast. LA, San Diego, all those places, California has tons, millions of hardcore Colorado's the exact same thing. They have just crushed Colorado. Those filthy commies took it over. But there's Colorado is some of the reddest country out there. And Pennsylvania is exactly the same. We're talking God's country, solid people. But because of Philly, because of Pittsburgh, it just they get overwhelmed. Their votes get overwhelmed. It bothers me. Captain Ron of the pontoon boat. This guy says, I was watching TV and I saw an ad for Arby's three for five dollars. Gosh, Arby's is underrated. It is underrated. Little roast beef and cheddy. And Arby's probably has I'm thinking about this. I don't want to I don't want to be I don't want to be dishonest. I think Arby's has the best curly fry in fast food. Chris, am I all wet there? Maybe Jack in the box could probably make an argument for I'm talking about I'm talking about a seasoned curly. I agree, Chris, I think Arby's is better. It's always close. It's definitely close. But anyway, the guy says, the items looked really small compared to what they once were. He said, I'm sure it's shrink inflation. Anyway, the hands in the commercial made the items look smaller. I did not know that's where you were going. I thought this was nice. I thought this was something about food. And you had to be mean about it. You had to be mean about it. Jesse. I don't know if you've seen the documentary on Amazon Prime, you were talking Friday about support personnel. I'm a Vietnam veteran who has studied Vietnam for a lot of years. And I'd never heard of the gun trucks of Vietnam until I saw the special on Amazon. You were talking about support personnel or people that protected. It's an amazing story. I hope you can talk about this. I actually have talked on the show before I did a fairly lengthy history segment one time on the gun trucks of Vietnam. Most people don't know about the gun trucks of Vietnam and how brave those guys were. And I'll just really simplify this because I don't want to go into a long thing. I've done it before on that. Getting things to and fro is difficult, is dangerous. And they were constantly ambushing these long supply chains of ours in Vietnam. So we were having to come up with ideas on how in the heck do you secure? How do you protect your convoys? How do you do that? Because you know, they're not stupid. You can say, well, put an armored vehicle in the front. Yeah, then they just let the armored vehicle go by and they blow up everything else. So they came up with the idea of gun trucks, heavy weapons on these vehicles dispersed throughout the caravan, heavy weapons that can fight back fight back against the Vietnamese ambushes that were constantly coming at them. And they had all kinds of of of experimentation they did with these things. For instance, they tried to sandbag in the machine guns, but it's always fricking raining over there in the jungle and the sandbags got too heavy way down the trucks. It just, it is a fascinating story. I did not know there was a documentary on Amazon Prime about it, but it might be worth checking out. This guy says it's worth checking out. So I find this to be very, very interesting. Our FK Jr. sat down with Tucker Carlson. And he confided in Tucker that Mike Pompeo begged Donald Trump not to release the JFK files. And Trump, of course, didn't release the JFK files. You remember that for those who aren't aware of this whole thing? JFK, obviously assassinated. JFK gets assassinated. There are files about what happened there. Now, this was in 1960 friggin three. JFK was assassinated a very long time ago. And people have wanted these files to be released for a long time. What don't we know? What did the government do? Why are these files still hidden? And Donald Trump said when he was president the first time that he was going to release those files and someone talked him out of it. Mike Pompeo, who were to believe our FK Jr. And I don't know why he would lie about those things. But all that stuff aside, why won't they release the files? And it's very obvious why they won't release the files. You wouldn't release the files because you're protecting someone or something. And I think we have to conclude it's not someone because anyone who was alive back then who could have had anything to do with this is dead. That's just the fact. So that leaves out the sum one, meaning they're not releasing the files to protect an entity of some kind, some kind of an organization. And the longer they take to release these files, the more interest I have in these files that this, this is, this is getting to a point where the government is going to push this too far. And I know I don't mean the JFK assassination. That's not hot on everyone's mind, but the distrust in our institutions is really, really bad. And everything these sick institutions are currently doing is making that distrust worse and worse and worse. If you have a rotted corrupt institution, the public doesn't trust anymore. The solution is not hiding, covering things up, threatening people. The solution is complete openness, honesty, accountability. That's how you earn trust back. You earn trust back by being open, by being accountable. If I develop a terrible drinking problem again, and I'm, I'm, I'm stopping at the bar on every night on the way home, and finding my wife confronts me about why I'm showing up so late. And I don't get open with her about it. She is going to increase her level of distrust with me. Understandably so. You earned trust back by being open. Why was Mike Pompeo? Why is anyone so concerned with the JFK files? That's of course there's something in there that makes the CIA look bad. FBI look bad. And Secret Service look bad. And look bad. I keep using that term but that can mean a lot of different things, can't it? Maybe there's something in there that makes them look like fools. Maybe there's something in there that makes them look like participants. And even all these years later, if we found out a government institution had something to do with the assassination of the president of the United States of America, that would probably be a pretty big deal, no? And let's remember two little tidbits here. JFK was angry with the CIA after Bay of Pigs and famously threatened to break the organization into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds. Also, the CIA had been working hand in hand with the American mafia. This is all legitimate. This is none of this is internet conspiracy stuff. This is well known. They'd been working with the Italian mafia trying to assassinate Castro. They had the they had similar enemies. Castro ran the mob out of Cuba. They ran he ran us out of Cuba. They were trying to get the mob to kill him. The CIA had been running guns to the Italian mafia. We know that we also know that Jack Ruby, the guy who killed Lee Harvey Oswald, he was mobbed up. He was a he was a legbreaker for Meyer Lansky, the famous Jewish gangster back in the day. These are all facts. So why won't they release the files? I don't know. Hopefully Trump does it the next time. Certainly necessary. You know what else is necessary? Energy. Focus. Energy is such a big thing. And you realize as you get older, if you don't take care of yourself, you kind of just get gassed earlier, earlier and earlier. Next, it is the Jesse Kelly show on a Wednesday. And I have missed Selena Zito so much. I don't know why it's been so long since I've had her on the show. You know, Selena Zito, one of the great writers in the country out there in the Rust Belt swing states. We need to win an election. Just interview JD Vance today. She probably has a couple of things to talk about. Selena, how was JD? I've been so impressed with him so far. Oh, yeah, he did a great job. You know, if for your listeners sake, Erie County, Pennsylvania is in the far and you know this being Ohio boy is in the far left hand corner of Pennsylvania. It borders Asheville, Ohio. It is the most important county in the entire, not just the entire state of Pennsylvania, but in the entire country in terms of as go Erie so goes the rest of the country. So Vance was here at a trucking logistics company, one of five companies in Pennsylvania. It is benefits from trucking services and logistics. And so it was kind of a big deal. And he caught a hero's welcome in the little city of Erie. Okay, give me your impression, your personal impression of the man, Selena. Obviously, I've been impressed with him politically. He says the right things. He's been on message and I don't know all that stuff, but personally what was your take on him? So I've covered JD for a long time because I covered the Ohio primary, the Senate race and I knew him before he even decided to dip his toe into politics. One of the qualities and characteristics that JD has, that people get, not necessarily my profession, but people on the ground, people who listen to and people who interact with him, is that he is sort of this happy warrior, right? He is this guy who can talk about serious policy, things that are affecting people's lives. You can talk about economic conditions that are impacting people's lives, but he does it in a non-angry way. He delivers it with hope and aspiration. And I think that that's what makes people connect with him. He also has a very genuine sense of place. And what do I mean by that? Places where people understand where they come from, where they're rooted to. And that's why he's so effective in places like Erie County or Vernon County, Michigan or Wisconsin, because these are people that live in these counties that are very, very important, electorally, who are legacy residents. What I mean by that is their family's family's family has been there for a very long time. So place is important to them. Speaking with Selena Zito, all right, let's move away from the Vance thing and give me give me some idea of what you're hearing, what you're seeing in these swing states. Selena of Trump wins Michigan or Pennsylvania or Wisconsin, he very likely is the next president of the United States. Well, again, what are you hearing? So I just got back from across the country trip. I was in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, like a dozen other states. I will say that right now, currently, I would say that this is, I would give Trump probably a one point to two point edge in Pennsylvania in Michigan, but I would give him a larger edge in Georgia. And I think that's an important state to remember. And while the polling shows that it is a tight race there, my experience in interviewing people in the counties that matter, Georgia is looking pretty good for Trump, but also is Pennsylvania and so is Michigan. Oh, okay. That I didn't see coming. Michigan, really, Selena, maybe I very wrongly wrote off Michigan, but I've written off Michigan as just being a blue place. How could they re-elect that had governor unless it's a blue place? How? What happened? Well, I think 2022 was a difficult year for Republicans, period. They struggled in their message and I think that the jobs rolling sort of stole their thunder. But I think that if you listen to voters and not take the word of listening to social media or listening to the cable news, there's a real sense that people aren't as enthusiastic as it is portrayed. And a part of that portrayal by the media has a lot to do with the Democrats were so down, right? So they only had one other place to go. And so I think that is why there is sort of a misreading of what's going on right now. Okay, so you sound to me like someone who thinks Trump, obviously I don't want to get ahead of anything, but you think he's really in the driver's seat in this election? I think this is a jump ball race, but I do also think that Trump has the edge right now. What is Dom's path to victory? How can how can she win? How can it? It just doesn't make sense from the outside looking in, but I hate communists. So I'm not the one to ask. What do they say about her in these Rust Belt swing towns? She surely doesn't connect with them. Right, that's the challenge, right? She had Biden had an ability to peel off parts of the New Deal Democrat Coalition in 2020. You know, I think that COVID had a lot to do with that decision making. But I think that she is challenged. Look, you have to understand that Harris has never had to once work for an independent or a Republican vote because she ran in California. So she doesn't exactly know how to do that and execute it well, and that is why you find her changing so many of her positions because, you know, and I don't know how effective that will be because people people heard the first thing that she said. And and now they're they don't they aren't sort of hoodwinked by her trying to win their vote. Speaking with Selena Zito here, Selena, what are you hearing if anything about Tim walls? It's obvious Democrats picked him to try to ease the concerns of the Rust Belt white voter. That's that they basically come out and admitted that publicly. That's why they picked that big doofus. Are you hearing things about the stolen valor? Are you hearing positive things about him? What are you hearing about walls? Well, I think people voters find an insulting that just because a guy looks like he's supposed to look in rural America means that he shares their values. And and so people feel as though they are being insulted by him, them saying, look, here's a here's a white guy for you and you're going to like them, right? And you do here. I mean, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia. These are states with the large number of our young men and women who went off to service from those states. And so the challenge is, you know, that narrative that he has embraced that inference that he was something that he was not, i.e. serving in on the battlefield is it does not go over well in in places where you see an abundance of young men and women who signed up to serve their country. Yeah, that's what I'm hearing in my veteran's groups as well. My non-political veteran friends, they are they are peeved about this guy to put it mildly. Hey guys, it is Ryan. Celina, final question here. Trump, I understand that there's been an eight-year-long, at least propaganda campaign convincing a lot of America. He's the anti-Christ. What is his popularity like? Is it higher than you remember? Is it lower? Did the shooting affect anything? How have you heard? What's Trump's reputation in these small towns? So everything has affected it from the indictments, to the convictions, to the shooting, and if you look at what he has done in the past 10 days, and all the places that he has been, and all the places that he has visited, you see that he has a keen understanding of where to go, and he's showing up in those places. I watch Harris and Walt, they go to Philadelphia in Pittsburgh, in Pittsburgh, in Philadelphia. Well, you don't win Pennsylvania in those counties. You win them in Erie County. You win them in Zern County. So I'm not quite... To me, Trump is following the right path to an electoral victory. Yeah, no, I've been impressed with it so far. They turned him loose on supervised release today. And of course, surprise, surprise, they're announcing that he's under investigation for a potential child exploitation and terrorism on his website. And they're not even accusing him of doing any of that. They're saying it took place on the website. I want to remind you of something. Evil government institutions. They have really fallen in love with using the child sex crimes stuff against their political opponents, because it's something that's so revolting. People will, people will not defend it instinctively. Remember when Cheryl Atkinson, that journalist, when Obama's White House, when Obama's DOJ was going after her, remember when she testified in front of Congress that the FBI tried to plant, plant child pornography on her husband's computer. This is a tactic these people use. I'm not saying there aren't weirdo freak perverts out there. There are, of course, weirdo freak perverts out there. But whenever you see somebody who was run foul of the government and then gets arrested and accused of those crimes, you should be suspicious of that accusation every single time. And you combine that with this. You've heard of GAB? GAB? Well, the German police have asked GAB to hand over the private info of a user on their site. I don't have GAB, but it's a social media site. What did this user do? He called one of their politicians fat. And she was fat. She was enormous. And he called her fat. It's rude. I get that.
