With eight games remaining in the 2024 season, the Fireflies are still alive for their first franchise playoff berth. Thanks in part to a seven-game set against the Charles Nerveredog starting Tuesday at Segripark, the name of the game is simple, win and you're in. both teams have won 10 games against each other heading into Sunday's rubber match. This week, when Columbia has won, it's been due to some stellar pitching. Columbia took Wednesday's game 3-0 for their eighth shutout of 2024 and they carried another shutout Saturday into the ninth inning before winning by a final score of 5-2. Kellen Moss has taken off against the Augusta Green Jackets. The first baseman is 5-14 this series at the plate and he's also drawn five walks to move his own base percent to a wild 5-26 on the series. Austin Charles has also been solid at the plate, knocking three doubles and one homer across in the first five games of the series. Starting Tuesday, Columbia goes for the gold with seven games against the Charles Nerveredog at Segripark. From Columbia, I'm John Kosis.
