Grim Wagers: Week 1
[Music] Hi everyone and welcome to this first episode of Nothing Weirds with me. I'm Mike and I'm the Grim Reaper. And yeah, what is Grim Reaper as well? I mean two things, rather than me the Grim Reaper. You know, puts some bets on the NFL. Each week wins loads of money. Becomes a betting lord amongst men. Or it could mean that all my bets are up. We're on a really grim because I've ended up losing everything. So the aim of this is, you know, one weekly episode. 15, 15, 20 minutes long. Where I'm basically going to take £10 and gamble on the weekly NFL. I'll be putting different types of cumulators or parlairs, whatever you want to call them. I'll be putting, you know, pretty much covering every game with every little weird type of bet that I'm going to put on. Some of them, you know, you'll win a little amount. Some of them you'll win a fairly decent amount. But then I'm also going to be doing a £1 like Rags to Riches Bet, which, you know, very rare these ones come in. But see, sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. I don't claim to be the world's greatest gambler to be fair. But I do quite well. I have to admit, I looked into me betting up the other day and I was looking at my stats. And I was actually really impressed with my stats. It's to say that out of the last 12 months I have gambled away £660. In returns, I have returned £1,432. But out of my own money that I have put on in the last 12 months I have only put in £35 into that account. So even though I gambled £600, I only actually spent £30 of me own money. Because I use the money that I win. You know, I take some out and leave some in to make sure I still go to gambled with. And then I do keep getting these little wins and keeps adding it up. And, you know, over the course of a year, I was actually really surprised when I looked at my stats that I thought I'd have put a lot more money into it. But I was really surprised the amount of money that I took out of it, to be fair. And, you know, the way I like to do these gambles is I like to do them in the series. I don't like to just, I mean, I can't blow on anything than a watch, really. You know, I just put maybe a pound or two pound on. Just to make it a little bit more exciting. That's what the aim of this is, really. It's a little bet that you put on just, you know, if you get out of this game, it's going to be absolutely shade. You put a bet on it. It's a really exciting game. You know what I mean? It's just facts. Whenever there's money on the line, it makes it more exciting. So I'm not advocating here for everyone to go out and start gambling. If you don't gamble, I'm not suggesting that you do start gambling. I'm putting this out there now as a disclaimer at the start. This is for entertainment purposes only. But if you would like to take my advice, I would advise maybe about week three. I wouldn't advise this week because this week is just a look week, really. You know, we don't know what each team is going to look like. We don't know which players are going to turn up, which players are not going to turn up. You know, so I'll be choosing players in these bets, but I'm hesitant in doing it for week one because you just don't know what's dated and what your progress everyone is. So let's get into these bets, these wages. And for the purpose of this experiment, instead of, you know, I'm going to put a bet on it pounds or dollars or euros, you know, just to be uniform across the full world with one currency. I'm going to refer to these as reefer books. So I'm going to be taking ten reefer books and the amount that I'm going to get back. I'm going to also give you a reefer books. So the first game should be the Ravens vs. the Chiefs. But unfortunately, I fell asleep last night. Just before the game started, like literally just before the game started, maybe about half an hour, forty-five minutes or something like that. And I woke up just as the fourth quarter started. So, you know, I fell back asleep, I went back to sleep and now I'm doing this in the morning before I got to work. So the first game then that we will be going on is the Packers vs. Eagles. And let's see, what should I have bet you'll be put on? Oh, okay, so I'm going to put on a little tiny acket. Oh, parley, a bet builder, really. And I'm going to go for much points, Brad. Packers plus three point five. Dally a slayer over four tackles and assists. The Eagles to have over one and a half sacks. And the Eagles to have over one and a half Russian touchdowns. I'm going to go for that for my first bet. And I'm going to put two reefer tokens on that. And that will give me a return of forty-six reefer tokens. If you don't know what match points, Brad, means I've got the Packers at plus three point five so that what that means is if the Packers win, then I win. If the Packers lose, I can still win. But the Packers cannot lose more than three and a half points. I think it's going to be a close game, I personally think that the Packers might even probably win this. But there's always the chance that the Eagles are going to win it on a field goal. And that's why I went for the plus three and a half points on that. So yeah, two reefer tokens, two reefer books for forty-six reefer books. I'll take that. Next, we have the six o'clock games, which I'm going to do a six o'clock hacker. So a six o'clock pile there of every game and I'm going to pick the winners. And I'm putting these on now, but I have a, I have actually had a think about it. I'm not just even, might think I'm putting them on quite quick. But it's because I have went through all these and decided what I'm going to do. There we are, it's six o'clock games. So for six o'clock games, I'm going to start off with bears beating the titans, balls beating the Cardinals, Vikings beating the giants. Sales beating the Panthers, Texans beating the Colts, Falcons beating the Steelers, Patriots versus the Bengals, and the Jags versus the Dolphins. I've got a couple of iffy games in there, but that's what I think. And that's what makes it exciting because for two Riffa books, this will give me a potential return of 327 Riffa books for eight, eight balls. That's, that's, it's quite a good return to be fair. That's good. Let's go, I'm happy with that. Yeah, I'm going to go for that. So that's four Riffa books I have gambled away so far. And I've covered the next game that's on and also the six o'clock games, which is the new games, the new games. Next round of games that we've got together at the nine o'clock games, or the three o'clock games, which are the time zone you need. This is only for in this little bank, that's why I like, and this is the bank that I like. I like this little bank of gambling. You know, the putting aker on the 12 o'clock games is brilliant for my windy watching red zone. I think it's fantastic, especially when you, when you're getting down to the zone, you're only a couple, a couple of games left and all the games that have finished, you've actually won. You know, you get a bit exciting. You can get a bit exciting, especially with these last few games of the red zone, because I don't want to just put the teams on, you know, the odds are going to be shared. Even though it could be worth it, the odds are still going to be shared. So, what I'm going to go for here is, first up we've got Broncos versus Seahawks. I'm going to go for a Seahawks win, and over two and a half field goals, I think that's going to be the hook that I'm going to use in this bet, is team to win and over two and a half field goals and combine all four. So, go Seahawks, two and a half field goals, Raiders versus Chargers. I'm going to say Chargers, two and a half field goals. Yeah. Cowboys versus Browns. I've gone Browns, gone Browns. All the commanders versus Buccaneers. This is a dodgy earn. This is a dodgy earn. But I'm going to, I'm going to put my faith in Jen, Daniel's going to have an absolute blinder of the first game, and I'm going to go for the commanders and two and a half field goals. And that gives me an odds of 50 to one. So, I'm going to put one refit token on this. And yes, that will give me a return of 50, 52, 52 refit tokens. I'm afraid of that. So, we've got two games left. And then we've got the Rags to Witches. I have to put five refi books on so far. Still have five to go up. So, next up, we've got the Rams versus Lions. I mean, result wise, I'm going Lions. So, I'm going to do a bit of a bet builder again on this one. So, I'm going to go Lions. Even though everything's added to predicting in Wake Warner, I still think this is actually going to be a high score game. So, I'm going to put a one cent brown to score a touchdown, and put in a go to score a touchdown. I'm going to put David Montgomery for rushing over 63 yards. I'm going to put Kyrie Williams to go under 75, 0.5, rushing and receiving yards. Yeah, I think I'll do it for this. This is a bit of a low one. This one only gives us 18 to 1, which when I put two refi books on that will give me a return of 38 refi books. And the last game of the week gives us the Jets and the 49ers. I've got 49ers for the win. OK, I'm going to go for them to have for there to be over one and a half rushing touchdowns in this game. So I'm going to be able to him to get them. It's probably come from 49ers. Well, that's how I'm going to go for that. I'm going to go for over five and a half sacks. That's between the Jets and the 49ers. That's a total in the game. I'm going to go for Enroaches to pass over 24 yards. And I'm also going to go for Brock Purdy to pass over 235 yards. And that gives me a 14 to 1. Yeah, I'll go for that. So I'll go put two refi books on this. And that gives me a potential return of 30 refi books. Yeah, that's not too bad. So now we've come to this Rags to Riches All Out gamble bet. Now I actually looked at this before I fell asleep. And I put this on. So we have good news in there that my first one came in. And one of them is I went for a spread. I went for a spread. Usually I will go for a plus on the spread. But this is a Rags to Riches. You know, this is pushing it a little bit later. So I went for minus is on the spreads. And I think it should be okay. So for what I've gone for is the Chiefs minus two and a half. Eagles minus two. The Bills minus six and a half. Sense minus four. Texans minus three. Dolphins minus three and a half. Vikings minus one and a half. Bengals minus eight. I mean, yeah, I think that's the one that's going to focus up on this really to be fair. Yeah, because a couple actually, but I think that's the one that's going to. Falcons to minus three. Bears to minus three and a half. Seahawks to minus six. Chargers minus three. Browns minus two and a half. Booker needs minus three and a half. The Lions minus four and a half and the 49ers. Minus four and a half. I'm going to put my final reefer book on that. And this gives me a. What if tell us the odds. This is give me a return of approximately. Twenty eight thousand. Pounds but. My button up gives you a boost. Always gives you a boost and it goes off how many you've put on. So this is a sixteen fold. This is a sixteen fold. Very, you know, unlikely to come in. But it gives us a potential return of 46,291 reefer books. Which, you know, for one reefer book, I will take that gamble. I will take those odds and yeah, we'll see what happens. So there we go. Put that down now. We've got ten reefer books worth of bets on there. Let's see what happens. Let's see how it gets on over the weekend. And next week, you know, I'll be rather cheery or crying. But we've only doing ten, you know, ten reefer books a week. The maximum that I can lose here is about 220 during the course of the season. So, you know, about six o'clock after there. If I get that week one. Yeah, I don't, I don't have to worry about putting any more money into my betting account for the rest of the season. So yeah, you know, that's how I like to do my gamble. I don't like to put a lot of money on one outcome. I like to make it exciting. Low, low bets, high odds. Simple as that. So yeah, just clocking on to 20 minutes here.
