Obituaries for Tuesday, September 3, Jesse and King, 85 of Madison, died August 29. Public viewing is today 3-7-30 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home in Madison. The family will receive friends tomorrow, starting at 1 at the refuge in May at end, and the funeral service is at 2, internment at Pine Hall Baptist Church Cemetery. Five announcements from Fair Funeral Home. Arrangements for Carl Owen Maddox, 92, are incomplete. Samuel K. Sambone Gammons, 72, died August 30. Survivors include brother Ralph Gammons and Linda, sister Inez Roberts, niece and caregiver Linda Pulliam, close friends and caregivers Ricky Jeffries and Terry Belton. Memorial services are Thursday at 11. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to encore compassionate care of Rockingham County. Bruce Graham Parker died August 31. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1971, retired after 50 years of service with air products and moved to Surfside Beach. Survivors include son James G. Parker and Dana, four grandchildren, daughter Lauren A. Parker, mother Dorothy K. Evans, and sister Abby Stofel, N.E.C. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at Moorhead Fair House from four to seven. The family extends special thanks to the Trident Neuro ICU staff and doctors in Charleston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. John Henry Griswall, 65 of Ruffin, died August 31. He was owner of Highway 700 Discount Food Mart, surviving our wife, Saren, children, Dara, Davy, and Sock, Duftung, Michael and Melissa Griswall, and brothers Paul and Frank Griswall. Funeral services are Sunday at two with visitation at one. Jerry Wayne Martin, 74 of Eden, died August 29. A memorial gathering date and time will be announced later at Moorhead Fair House. He was born in Price and graduated from Stonewall High School class of 1967. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1969 to 1971, graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology from UNC Greensboro and studied at Rockingham Community College. He was a member of the Rockingham County Marine Corps League and former member of the Moose Lodge. He owned and operated mini-storage and mega-suds car wash until retirement in 2014, surviving our friend and significant other Judy Martin of Eden, sister Sarah Shelton and Fred of May and Ann, and brother Jimmy Martin and Pat of Eden. Two announcements from Boone and Cook Funeral Home. Roy Lee Frazier, Jr., 61 of Bassett, died August 30. He was a graduate of Moorhead High School and continued his education after high school, earning several certificates and worked in banking. He was a past member of Central Christian Church, surviving our son Blake Frazier and wife Caitlyn of Albemarle, father Roy Lee Frazier and wife Dawn, sisters Lisa Evans and husband Randy all of Eden and Robin Hall and husband John of Readsville. Brother Jody Frazier and wife Angela of Axton and special friends Shirley Whit, Bedford and John Whit of Bassett. graveside services are Sunday at 2 at Danview Cemetery. Evelyn Davis Bullock, 59 of Eden, died August 30. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. She was born in Manhattan, New York and worked as a CNA, surviving our children Florence Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kevin Bullock, LaShel Bullock Williams of Columbus, Ohio, Rashawn Bullock Williams and wife Payton of Greensboro, and David Bullock and wife Rakesha of Columbus, siblings, Carlos Davis and wife Teresa, Patricia Tillman and husband Derwin, Terry Davis and Linda Oliver all of Columbus. Several grandchildren, one great-grandchild, spiritual adoptive parents Mary and Don King of Columbus and spiritual brothers and sisters from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. [BLANK_AUDIO]
