Jesus changed so name from Saul to Paul. He was changed forever. He went on to become the 12th apostle and to write 14 of the 27 books in the New Testament. He was changed. He wasn't trying to kill the thanks. As a matter of fact, when Jesus saved Saul, the Christians were scared of Saul because of his reputation. That was to angels from God telling the Christians to go down. Paul prayed for him lay hands on him. They were scared. The Christians told the angel, the Spirit of God. Lord, we heard of this man reputation. Yet God's speaking to them. But Paul went away changed and it took time for the church to accept Christ. In this epistle, this letter that Paul wrote in Romans 10, 1 and 3, the apostle Paul was addressing the church leadership and his concern for the direction of the church and that the people of God were heading in the wrong direction. Paul was concerned that the church was drifting off course for the word of God. Now, who better to discern and know that other than the apostle Paul, who walked in ignorance when he was Saul, when he thought he was a child of God, when he thought he was a Christian, when he thought he was doing the will of God. He was expressing his concern. He was at the holy convocation, talking to the bishops, the posts, the apostles, the preachers, the evangelists. You know, anybody got titles today? All of them got titles. They got no power, no anointing, but they got titles. Paul was expressing his concern about the direction of the church. And in that first verse, he said, "Brotheran, my heart desires prayer to God for Israel that they might be saved." That's right. God's people. The church shows that called itself God's children. That was not saved, but thought they were saved. Otherwise, what would Paul say that they might be saved? "For they were in the church holding service, but the church was not in their hearts." God was not in their hearts. God was not in their hearts. In other words, Paul said, "Brotheran, my fellow saints, I have a deep longing and a deep concern that Israel might be saved." Now, Israel was and still is God's chosen people. Israel is the body of Christ. I don't care what you turn on TV and hear about Jerusalem and what's going on over there. That is not to Israel that the Bible is referring to, the Holy Land. He is referring to the body of Christ. God's chosen people. For God told Abraham, I will make your seed as the sign of the seed that no man can number. The church Israel is the body of Christ, the born-again believers. Not the white man, not the black man, but God's people because all kinder and blood come from one. In God as there is no white, there is no black, there is no Jews, there is no Gentiles, there is man's doctrine, there is man's teaching. And we have been so indoctrinated over the years that we think the Muslim, the Jews, the Gentiles, they are all separate. I don't care that signs speak different language, so I am getting white skinned, dark skinned, they all are of the human race, which is what God created when he created Adam and Eve. Racism and the pigmentation of one's scheme is a man-made institution. It's a long behavior. And as far as I can, let me say this too, talking about slavery. Slavery is not in the Bible from God's standpoint. That is a man-made institution. Travery. God did not create slaves. Go back when Joseph died and there rose a king that knew not Joseph's God. And they said, "Come let us deal wisely." That was slavery was being an institution. See, I keep telling you, this Bible is a history book. And everything in this Bible is not necessary, guys, we. It just gives you a count of what happened. David and Bathsheba, that one God's will for David to sleep with Bathsheba, nor for him to put Uriah's at the front of the battle to be killed. You come up with sins, but the Bible documented that it did happen. And it also displeased God. Because the child died that David had out of his sin. All right, so God speaks against sin. But God told Abraham I would make your seed a seed, a sin of the seed that no man could number. Israel that Paul is talking about in this text is the body of Christ. Israel is the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. For God changed Jacob's name to Israel. After Jacob was wrestling with the angel into the breaking of the day. God changed his name. And then God touched the angel before he left Jacob. Touch the hollow of his style. That left Jacob that walked upright with a limp to remind him that you've been changed. Your life has been changed. Your walk every time he walked he had that limp. And that reminded him that God did something for me. God changed me. You cannot meet God and not be changed. I'm sorry, I don't care what nobody said. You gotta change. You gotta take place in your heart, in your life, in your attitude. When you meet Jesus, or God word is a lie. And he said before one giant of two to my word fell, heaven and earth, would pass away. Talking about the word right now. Talking about the word.
