Or if he's just like, like, come on, easier to it, you could do this, I know you can, know what I mean? Because you know when you, you're coaching, right? When you're coaching, because that's like, I wouldn't play some ball with some young guys at Barnum, and I just hooked him up. But I was also encouraging him to where you could play defense on me. But if you were too broke to find, you have to realize that that was a crappy game. At first, we were all excited 'cause the defense stepped up and then they started doing that same old stuff, not playing right, dropping the ball fumble. And if you could dab, like, like, a certain amount of dudes, they won't jump you with the gang. - Really? - Where have you been? - Well, I know. - You know, is there anything about gangs and jails? - And I guess it's different in Western Wisconsin where I grew up in jail. - Okay. See there you do. - They're not going to like this. - What I'm going to do? - I grew up in Southern California. So yeah, we're repping Lakeshoe. - I don't got a problem with it. I feel good about it now. So you got the Colby years? - Yeah. So I'd say that I'm a Colby Laker fan, not a LeBron Laker fan to clarify that. - Here's how I feel about it. Because he's got to understand this now, like the Chiefs are just own the football world to sports world. It's all about Patrick Mahomes, right? So we had John L.A. for 17, 14 seasons, 17 seasons was John, 14, 17, 17, 17, 82 and 99. Yeah, it's 17. Yeah. They're 16. Anyways, L.A. went to five Super Bowls, okay, one, two of them over a long span. If you're the Chiefs, man, they're running through quarterbacks. They're trying to bring, you know, Joe Montana's old bag of bones to help them. And you're just like, "Damn, when is this John L.A. thing going to end?" Now it's like, "We're winning this Patrick Mahomes thing going to end." So like Lakers fans, but we're like, you know, the Nuggets are one of championship, competing for championships. I'll hear these Lakers fans go, "Calen our 17 championships, but then it's the same thing it's like, I mean, from way back, we're going to win no championships lately. It's running lean." And that's kind of being like, you know, he's the guy who's saying that's next to this big fat girl, she's fat, and he's like being like, "You should have seen how hot my girlfriend was 20 years ago. Well, you're rolling with that big booty Trudy now." Nice. Okay. So that's what a Lakers fan of me is like, now tell them Nuggets fans, like right now the Nuggets, Boston's kind of a one and done, I don't know if that whole, yeah, I don't think that... It's a good squad. They're good. They feel one and done to me. You feel wrong about it? Am I wrong with that? I mean, I think it repeats the hardest thing to do in basketball. So we'll see. I don't know. I'm not... Why is that? Just because the length of the postseason? Yeah, it's just hard to kind of... It becomes a 100 game season just about. You go from 80 to 100. Do Lakers fans respect the Nuggets? Definitely. Okay. That's all I want. That's all we've ever wanted. I mean, I've watched Jokech just murder us the past. Is Jokech best player in the world or what are you doing? Oh, yeah. Easily. Well, who's the next to you like a guy and the next guy? I think Luca and Shay, those are my top three right now. No, I'm... You're right there. You got a little love for the Thunder being a Boomer sooner guy? I do got a little love for the Thunder. We do too around here. They're young, they're fun. Yeah. They get out and run. We like them in a weird way. Are you trying to rap? 'Cause that was... I love that a little bar. I'll drop you a beat right now. I'm not sure you guys are doing it right now. You got to drop that. He kind of quit. I'll drop one. Hey, check it. You know how I'd be. Last week, Kobe couldn't do without me. Hey, Kobe. Tell me how I asked. Hey, sorry. That's not Shaq Kobe one. My bad. I mean it. I think Kobe is the third or fourth greatest player of all time. I got him as number three. After Michael and Larry Bird. Really? Larry Bird. Interesting. Okay. Number two all time? Yeah. Oh yeah. Oh. Kobe number three. I'd argue that. Yeah. I think when Brad gets maybe fifth or something like that. Well, Larry played with... Listen. I probably got to give it to someone. I would say cream and like James Worthy. Right. Magic fourth and then... Those are like... Those are great players. Those are historically good, great players. Right. I know Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale are in the Hall of Fame, but they're stiff, bro. Danny Hange. I mean, like I'm sure like I got it all wrong about McHale and he was just the beast. But like I think magic was working with a lot more than Larry was, to be honest with you. In college too. That's fair. That's fair. Just to help his argument, but I think magic's got the most charisma, you know? I just love magic. I don't know. Man, it's number four. I got it in this four. Who wears LeBron ring? Five. What do you... What do you think about that? Five. I think LeBron's won. Oh. Don't worry. I'm just one of the greatest high school coaches in Colorado. Five A history. Why? Cause so... Okay. What is that like? What is made and what is made of number one? That's... Yeah. I think just longevity. I mean, it's hard for me being 23 to be like, Jordan's my goat when I wasn't alive. Yeah. That's okay with that. We're fine with that. No one's ever been this good, this late in his career. Ever. It's not close. It's Brady like. Yeah. Okay. Definitely. He don't like the... He wants him to shut up and dribble. Yeah. You know, that's where he's at this core of it. Top five all time is not the worst. No, no, but he's saying if you're not better than Larry Bird's number one, get out of here. I don't know. Larry Bird? I... Listen, he's a cold ass honker. What you have to do to pass Michael or any all time great to get in the conversation is to do things no one has ever done, including the Jordans. Right. So winning a championship with three different franchises, finals, that's special. That's fine. I think you should try to pull something like that. They almost sent him to San Francisco this past season. He didn't want to go, right? He didn't want... His agent, Rich Paul, said... And it's sweet. What's the website? Halfpassmoon.com. What's the handles? At Halfpass.news. Okay. So you go just check it out. He does beautiful work. This is what young guys can do these days. And then when you add some like intelligence and some a little bit of history, I appreciate your, you know, your MBA knowledge. That's the weapon. That stuff's good stuff. So thanks for hanging out with us. Okay. Come on, let's run it back. Come back. You got some time here? For sure. I know you got, you know, to work and do stuff like that. But just kick it with us. We got a lot of stuff to talk about. We'll do a little horrid stuff. Yeah. We'll talk about Jamal Murray. We'll talk about a little bit. I want to talk about that. And then man, we got so much football stuff. We're in the thick of it. You know, if you're a football fan in this town right now, you're kind of hurting a little bit. Country jungle wet. Wet dream tomato. Were you at Oklahoma when Trey Young was there? I got to see Austin Reeves though. Oh, yeah. Hey, you know what we say about Austin. Austin. You're here. Oh, we already did that one. Sorry. He was just there for one year, right? At OU. He transferred. Yeah, he transferred from Wichita State. Dang. There for two. Mm-hmm. Take Gonzaga in the tournament. That was over your era. Yeah. That's sweet. I love that. You lace them up. You get on ball a little bit. You know. Okay. Super gonna dad ball. Hey, if you like if you like watching yoke, it's like players. You're gonna love watching me. I love watching yoke. It's like players. We slip off that screen. Finish at the hoop. I just look at the guy guarding you and I go, oh, you should be guarding him. Whoops. Bounce pass. Put it off the glass. Let's get back on D. All right. All right. We will be back on the other side of Smilesports. All right. Yeah. Let's go. All right. Thank you. That's the Lila. That's the Lila. Yeah. She's new here. She's digitally created by us. Okay. You guys are okay. Hey. This is the Smile High Morning Show with Danny Williams and Jeff Gersh. Thank you. That's the Lila. Yeah. She's new here. She's digitally created by us. Hey. Hey. Atlanta's more sad. Yeah. Anyways. I was trying to educate young buck here about Larry and the break. He knows what's up. I said Larry scored 40. You're not going to tell a Lakers fan that Danny goes, no. You never scored 40 with his left hand. You screwed that up. It took one quick little Google search. We got that one. Halfpassnoon.com is where you want to go check out. Just really cool. A lot of information. You know, you're TikTok and Insta. You do a great job with that stuff. You're what that stuff is all about. I think you're literally exactly what those platforms are all about. And man, you do really good jobs to go check his stuff out. Okay. Real quick. What do you think the hang up was with Jamal and the team? Why was he? I think he was dragging this out as some kind of punishment to whatever's going on with the Calvin Booth versus Jamal stuff. Maybe he was disrespected by coming at a number that was less than the max. Maybe he was felt disrespected by that. And really, you know, it should be easy and it really should. There's guys getting the max that aren't as, you know, I mean, doesn't. Doesn't Michael Porter Jr. you know, or Michael? One caller says Michael Porter potty. Porter potty. So I mean, that's the cost of junior Porter. And we got Charles. That's the cost of doing business. Okay. But you just had to do it. So Calvin Booth probably did or said some things that rubbed. Um, the, you know, Jamal's camp, um, you know, wrong. And they drug this out about as long as he could to where, you know, that's about as much leverage as you have. I got a question. He's got to sign it too. As an outsider, as a Lakers fans looking in at the Nuggets fans. Do Nuggets fans love Jamal too much? Not enough for just the right early haters. I don't know. Jamal's hard for me because it's like something else. He's broke your heart a couple times. I mean, just this time. So for you, you've got to be like, how do you not love this guy? Yeah. I mean, he's a killer, but sometimes it's just like he doesn't seem kind of like locked in mentally. I mean, you watched him play for Canada during the Olympics. He was not even there. We do mention his Canadian side comes out a little too frequently where he's like, oh, sorry about that. Oh, definitely. My fault. I had a four point first half there. Oh, sorry. Yeah. But then he'll have a 16 point second half. So it's like, okay. Do when he gets on fire, I mean, because I feel like there's times last year where we're trying to trade him in the playoffs. But Danny's over here making deals to try and get like drew holiday, which, hey, part of me ain't hating. Yeah, and part of me is thinking, are we hating too much on this guy? Well, we have a little gift. We have a little, you know, yoke. Even though is even though true holidays, 15, seven and seven a night, at least I know I'm getting 15, seven and seven a night. Plus the best defense on the floor every single night. I don't got to expect drew holiday to go for 24, 26 in a night where yokech needs somebody out there. Help me. You know what I mean? When Michael Porter Jr. is just brick city and Jamal's kind of the guy. He's got to be that guy. He's been so wildly inconsistent. He is playoff Jamal, which means, again, he's had incredible huge moments. They don't call you playoff Jamal if you're killing it in the regular season. You know what I mean? That's true. But again, they call you that because that's when you've decided to play out. They all heard us here this last, you know, in this last series, especially against the Timberwolves who look like the kind of bully. Jamal a little, but look like a little bully. A little bit. They did. It was, I thought the first two games of that series were ridiculous, but just let's not forget they were up 20 in game seven. Right. Jamal was up 20 in game seven. And he had a great first half. It was up 20 in game seven. Michael Porter, Porter, potty Jr. was up 20 in game seven. And they all sat there and blew it. Anthony Davis is overrated. I mean, I just what kind of Anthony Davis you're going to get. I think Anthony Davis on his. Jamal Murray of Big Man? Yes. He is the Jamal Murray of Big Man. That's interesting. Oh, that's really good. Sweet about Anthony Davis without LeBron is the same Anthony Davis that he was with the pelicans. Yeah, he was there about a 500 team. He fills it up. Oh, sure. But they're in winning the games on his back. He's had all cousins. Kind of. That's a pretty good comp. But he has a championship. You can't say that. That sounds creepy. Look, I guess we're talking about his championship, but without LeBron, you know, but again, LeBron needs guys to elevate and all that kind of stuff too. I'm just saying now what's holding the Lakers back is Anthony Davis not surpassing or being LeBron's equal, even still old LeBron to where they have just two killers or LeBron could then take the back seat now to have so much pressure. And he's going for 30 and 10 every single night, but he's so soft. Yeah. I mean, I hate his game. If you're married Anthony Davis from just even four or five years ago in the bubble, he could shoot the three all of a sudden he can't shoot the ball from outside. I don't think they let him. I think he can't like I don't think he's a pretty tall. Just pull the trigger. I think it's like Ben Simmons out there. So I think there's a it was kind of like this push for him to play center and he put on a lot of weight and kind of just like lost his touch and now he can't seem to get it back. I feel you. He's gotten big. So what about the Lakers they got. Did they add anybody special or they just kind of James Ronnie, right? I think that Ronnie Jersey. I do know what numbers he zero. They're the same eight how many minutes he's going to get. Yeah, exactly. They're the same nine. He's nine for Juice World. Oh, I don't even know what that means. Explain it to the kids. Juice World. What the rapper? Yeah. Oh, wow. That's Travis Scott. I'm an old head. No. You screwed it up. You were playing cool over there. Like you knew. Then you opened your damn mouth. It's okay. Maybe another time. All right. I'll look it up. Juice World. There's no life. He's got kills. Just WRLD. Just a great lifestyle. Can't, you know, it's tough on this out there. Maybe they're at Tupac Island. They could be. Just get out of the game. Just get out of the game. All right. Check this out. Oh, let's go to break. Okay. And then we'll come back. You got predictions for the debate tonight. You got over on her. Of what? I don't know. I wonder how he's going to go after her. I don't got to say much. There's a certain point. Say less. No, I can't say. Even like at the beginning when Trump first won the presidency, he was like, Obama wrote me this beautiful letter that he left me like in like the desk and all the kinds of stuff. And then it like didn't take long before it turned. He's going to play so cool for a while, try to be appropriate and proper. And she's going to say something that he's going to feel like she drew first blood first and took a cheap shot first. And then he's going to lose. He's going to do it. You tuning in tonight to the big debate? Do you care at all? No, I have to. You got to know what's going on. Yeah. We kind of just joke about it. Yeah. We don't mind talking about whatever. We know we're going to we piss people off of certain things we say, but that's almost the point of it. You know what I mean? So we're just and it's what it is. It is what it is. I want like a fifth America. I want me some like 55 52 year old stud president, tall handsome dude, beautiful wife, two young kids. I know what an old man is present. You know, I agree. But I don't know if Kamala that too, which she's, you know, shoot, but she seems in over her head. Well, it's because she is. Oh, okay, 303 A3 130 hotline as well as the text line, the website and the handle real quick one more time website. Oh, yeah, half past noon, half past noon.com. Okay, cool. I mean, you go there. It's easy. I'm on the Easter right now. It's half past dot noon. It's easy. It's all right. Uh, let's go to break. Come back. Uh, we got Chuck nasty waiting for us on the hotline. And then we'll wrap this bad boy up and we'll let, um, hey daddy, call me, go home and do some real work. I bet you will. Hey, call it. Hey. You rolling like a Tesla or you got a fine, pretty fine vehicle, pro truck it cause your circuit runner. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Window go down in the back. I just want to say speaker. Let's go. I want to say speaking of vehicles, Greenwood automotive. No, 20 mile in Lincoln. Absolute class act. There's a million places to go, but no one like these guys, uh, their new building is awesome. Their cars are super clean and nice. They do a great job. Zero pressure when you're on the lie. Um, and that's it. Greenwood up to good instead of the wood up to no good. Sorry. We got it. We got it. Uh, Danny. Jeff. Alex Becker produces the product. I run the show and, uh, Colby, our guy, um, he's our NBA insider. I like the whoops talk. We're doing the day. You're doing it. The job. We appreciate you guys. Back on their side. Smelly sports. Everything. The Smile High Morning Show weekdays at 10. Here are your hosts, Danny and Jeff. Yeah, okay, James, James Brown, there's not a lot of guys that sound like only them. You know, like Ray Charles only sounds like Ray Charles. He's like the James Earl Jones of music. Totally. So thanks for being with us. Got a quick one here today. We're done here in about seven or eight minutes. We're done. Show's over. That Chuck Nasto, we have to get him in there. James Earl Jones, man, uh, he lived a beautiful, full long life I saw on Twitter. He did like a Letterman top 10 of things that were, you know, only sound cool if James Earl Jones says them. And he was like, you're not fully clean unless you resistfully clean. Yeah, it was all commercials. Yeah, just dumb stuff. It was funny. And, uh, that's it. So, um, thanks for being with us. Let's finish strong before we get out of here. Are you strong, Alex? Jeff? Cause I'm strong. I'm strong. You strong. We strong. Let's go out to the hotline. Get our guy. He's a mayhem icon. Singer songwriter. It's Chuck. Nasty. Danny, can't buy. Hey, Chuck. What's up? Say hi to Colby in studio, like Colby. Hey, Chuck. Hey, Chuck. Hey, Colby. How you doing? You know, when you're trying to throw some little, uh, you know, go and be Brian, take that shot over the trash can. You go, Colby. That's with that. El why not just with the B E. We changed that like the cheese, like the cheese, cheese. Yeah. Colby cheese. Didn't we throw you in a dumpster once? Yeah. I got out. All right. Chuck. What's up, Blair? Hey, I just wanted to say the Broncos did better than I thought they would. Oh, no. Oh, Nick. Okay. Hey, did you see they showed John Elway first game. Of eight or 14 yards, whose father is exception are the three and outs. Yeah, we know that. Here he is. Not John Elway. He's lining up under the guard. We know all that. Yeah. Yeah. But who's following the three and outs? The coach or the quarterback? Uh, it's the coach, nine three and oh, well, got rid of our good players kept all the bad players. Oh, Justin Simmons didn't win the other day. Listen, that's not too. That's to each other. Right now. Hey, no, but if you read Judy when the other night, Justin Simmons win. These guys aren't hanging. W's. You're not missing them. Yeah. Tim Patrick play on the NFL roster. The other day. No guys. He didn't quit acting like damn fools. This is as good as your team's been a long time. It looked the same to me last year. He's a man. He's on my side too. Luckily. So I thought they did better than I thought they were going to do. I don't know, let's see another one. Listen, they're playing a team in the Steelers that didn't find the end zone last week. Yeah, they got six field goals, but it's going to time hoping to take more than the only game. I don't know. 18 points to get progress. Play this week. I don't know. Maybe not. I would go with Justin again. I'd go with Justin. I would. I would. Do I have lightning in a bottle? Let's get Russ another week or two. And then once it goes wrong, we go to Russ so he can ruin it all. Again. Hey, we gotta go. Whatever. We love you though, brother. We don't go. I'm saying that with the Broncos, it can be in the start, win in seasons and start being in playoffs 20, 26, 20, 27. That's very far into dark and on is completely over at the bottom. Yeah. We gotta go Chuck. Good stuff though, brother. Call us later tomorrow. Hey, man. I just don't want everybody to get their hopes up to I and then get let down. We appreciate you trying to keep it real for us, you know. I think so. That's what's going on. So you had really low hopes and whatever they did surpass them, it sounds like. Oh, yeah. Because they didn't do that. They're defense to good and there's special teams to go. Hope's he's got low in the sky. I'll be here for 26. All right. Later. Chubby. Who do you got? Win in the debate tonight. Great day. You're doing great. Thanks brother. Later. All right. We have three or four minutes left. One more time. Colby Dorfman. What's the? Yeah, enabled digital magazine that you put out digital. I have to say that. I don't think that's adding an extra. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So half past noon.com and then on Instagram and TikTok half past dot noon. Okay. You got YouTube at home. You know how to get on the YouTube. He's on all the tubes because I would say go check out 15 NBA legends who were terrified of Larry Bird. You got 16 and a half. He's doing better stuff than that bit. I'm just saying. You don't got to tell him and Kate because 10 of those 15 guys you heard of. They're in love and respect and they were terrified of Larry Bird. We'll have you. Of all time. I obviously will have you back here before the NBA season starts and we'll have a chance to maybe the next show we do. How many days are we out or NBA season like are we two months or are we like 30 days. I think it's October 22nd. Okay. So that's right around the corner. We'll have like a super. Yeah. Our next show maybe could be like a super prediction show. Sweet. And we do you know award winners and go through divisions all that kind of stuff. Do you like Santiago's burritos? Do you like Santiago's burritos? Do you like Santiago's burritos? Where are you from? How are you? Wild or hot? Which one? Just those are your choices. Miles. Yeah. That's not. We don't want to. Half and half is nice. It's mild and hot. We don't want to have to put the toilet paper in the freezer for the next couple of days. That's just to be safe. Okay. He's Oklahoma guys. Yeah. I know. Um. No man. Hey. Boomer. Sooner. Sooner. Baker. Me. We love Baker. What about you? We love Jalen. He's Oklahoma. He's Oklahoma. He's Texas. I would. These days. Oklahoma get the claim. All these guys that were there for like. You're acting like bonics is pure organ, bro. No, I'm not. You are. No. Hey. No, you are. Baby. Who's the gangster? You are. All right. Um. We got like a minute left. Alex, you got anything for us. Let's finish this show up here with the. Um. Uh, Justin Fields will start. Looks like on Sunday. Gotcha. You're not trouble. Hey, that's not good. I don't want that. Bad news. All that money for those tickets. Uh, I feel bad for you now. And if you still want to go, probably now's the time to get in on that. I'm probably going to try. I think it was the most expensive ticket in the NFL this year. Was the Russ Wilson game back here? Yeah. Those are 50 dollar tickets for the game. Oh, the loster is off. You think? I think so. I mean, it's nothing. I don't think it's always big, but Russell Wilson not playing. You know, Russ didn't still be in. I think it's worse than they're leading on because he didn't practice most of all of training camp. Remember that? After like a week. Yeah, but he did play in the preseason. My favorite Russell Wilson. Re aggravation is inactive. Russell Wilson wearing full gear. That's weird. He couldn't play. He must have wanted to the other day. He must have been here. He must have been here. Emergency third. No. I don't. I don't think he could have played. No, but he was inactive. No, but even an active. You have like an asterisk. What a goof. I don't know. Hey, now here's the thing. Kirk cousins look like a crappy quarterback the other day against Pittsburgh. What do you think bonics is going to look like Pittsburgh plays deep, bro? Don't forget that. Yeah, these. Yeah, let's let's double 90 for Pittsburgh for our for our guy Colby Dorfman half past noon.com. Go check them out and all the socials and it's the TikTok is really good. It's a good you. Thanks for being with this brother. Yeah, thanks for having me. Appreciate you. Yeah. Come again. Jeff Gersch, Alex Becker, I'm Danny Williams. We appreciate you guys. And we love you guys. Don't forget today. Thank you. Sheila. Bye, Sheila. I'll never forget tonight. Bye, Terry. All right, whatever. Go aside. Bye, Sheila. See you, Terry. Bye, Sheila. Bye, Terry. Bye, Sheila. I've got two of those all month. A window to a city. I'm a new snow. Come back, snap back. See my cut through the holes.
