Coming up, we're going to be talking about the brand new Marvel Disney Plus series, Daredevil, Born Again, and Ironheart, plus also how you can get a hold of a free digital comic, plus also an update on the Wizards of Waverly Place at a sequel. But before we go any further, make sure you do hit that subscribe button to keep up with the latest Disney Plus News. Hi, it's Roger here, fun. What's on at Disney Plus dot com. It's time for quick Disney Plus News updates. So let's start off with talking about some new Marvel news. So Disney is celebrating the 85th anniversary of Marvel comics this weekend. So going back a lot of history and a new video was released and in there, it was celebrating the 85 years, taking a look at all the different characters, showing off Stanley, showing off comic books, the different cartoons and films, over the last nearly nine decades. It's a long time, been around for a long time. And in this little trailer, we got to see a very, very, very, very, very small clip of a number of the upcoming releases. So we got to see a little bit of Captain America Brave New World. We get to see Red Hulk come out, which looks fantastic. Can't wait to see what they do with that one. Get to see from fun the boats. We get to see like an elevator scene of them all just standing in the elevator. Not exactly the most exciting thing, but there we go. We also got to see like a fraction of a second of Daredevil, where he looks really, really cool and very like menacing. And I did like the look of that one, plus a little bit of Iron Heart, where she's kind of racing through and kind of screaming kind of thing, obviously testing out her new sort of suit. So both of those Disney Plus series and both of those films will be coming out in 2025. So in regards to the Disney Plus side, now those are going to be it. I don't think we're going to be getting any of the other ones. But so I think two seasons have shows a year. I think that's probably going to be what we'll get used to. But yeah, so they're starting to tease this stuff. Daredevil born again will be coming out in March. And with that being, I think it's nine episodes. So you can easily say that's going to be at least two to three months worth. So that then gets us through to what June, end of July. And I suspect then we might get maybe Andor, which will then probably put, I would imagine, Iron Heart at the end of 2025. So still a way to go, but just a nice little tease, a way of getting people to watch this little teaser trailer. Again, I'm just really looking forward to seeing both of these shows. Iron Heart feels like a show that's been waiting for so long. I feel like, you know, it's a little bit of a clip of that Z23 in 2022. And here we are over two years later. And we still really are not much, really closer to it coming out. It's been delayed so many times, but can't wait for Daredevil. But yeah, so great to see this kind of stuff teasing. I'm not expecting we'll see much more on ear of these shows, probably for the rest of the year. They might do something around Christmas New Year. They kind of hype up the new year of Disney Plus, et cetera. But yeah, I wouldn't expect much more. We're going to be getting now into Agatha. There was a new trailer as well, released for that one. I'm definitely kind of showing off more of Joe Locke's character and kind of teasing that he could be playing Wiccan. They kind of had this thing where his mouth covered over. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they do with this show. Something a little bit different. And that's what I'd like with the MCU. They can kind of go off and try some different things. It's not going to be for everyone. I thought Joe was fantastic in Heartstopper. So I can't wait to see him nodding in in that. But he's also going to be a new season of Heartstopper that's coming in on Netflix. I think that one's in October. So plenty to watch, but let me know what you think of all this in the comments below. Keeping on the Marvel 85th anniversary. If you are a Disney Plus subscriber in the United States and you head into your Marvel Unlimited, and as long as you're using the same idea, you should be able to pick up a special 85th anniversary comic book. This one's only available in the United States. It's only available to the beginning of September. So you can't have to wait too long to get it. But yeah, so this one's going to be featuring all the different characters set in the future. All the big ones in here. So if you like your comic books, this is definitely for something to go and do. And always where, always where if I'm going to go and see if you can get free comic books, why not? And then you can watch that and read it through the Marvel Unlimited app. I'm surprised I don't do more of that. I think that would be a nice little way of trying to get some crossover into using that app. I like it, but at the same time, I don't use it as I did. I've had I knew subscriptions here and there for that one, but then I ended up kind of giving up on it. I keep thinking I want to read comics again. And then I don't and then I do and then I don't. And it is just one of those things with me in comic books. And I've been like that since I was pretty much at college. So I would go through stages, but yeah, it's always nice to kind of get free once. So a good way of getting in. But let me know if you're going to be checking it out in the comments below. This is also an answer that the Wizards of Waverly Place Revival series Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will be coming soon to the Disney Channel and also on Disney Plus. The series follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal mortal life of his family. And his sister Alex, who's played by Selena Gomez, brings Billy to his home seeking help. Justin Renizi must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard in training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities and safeguarding the future of the wizard world. So has been announced that this brand new series will premiere on the Disney Channel on Tuesday, the 29th of October at 8 p.m. And then the following day they're going to be releasing two episodes on the Disney Channel, one of which is a Halloween themed episode. And then they'll be releasing new episodes each and every week. It'll also be then dropping on to Disney Plus the next day on October the 30th, there'll be eight episodes available. So they're kind of going with a weird kind of release schedule for this show of this next day stuff, which I'm still not 100% convinced it's the right thing to do. But yeah, that's the way we get it. And also, you can see that with Disney Plus that they're kind of leaning in more on offering binge format for younger audiences. And the day getting them to watch week to week is just not going to work with today's younger audiences. They just want it now and they don't want to wait. So yes, and we get used to those more binge drops. Hopefully a lot of people check it out for a lot of excitement about this one, but again, this is very much a Disney Channel revival, and it's going to be in keeping with Disney Channel and is aimed at younger audiences. Obviously fans of the original show can go and check it out. But just don't expect it to be, you know, set for you now. It's for the kids of today, not for you. But you might be able to enjoy it if you enjoyed that one. Personally for me, it's not something I'm too that interested in, but if it was going to go missing, worth trying out. But nevertheless, let me know what you think of this in the comments below. And our question today, which comes from our YouTube channel, member Babak, who says, "Once Disney and Hulu fully merged, do you think Disney will keep creating originals or can Disney turn into just a place to catch all the latest movies and shows?" So this is a good thing. I mean, ultimately at some point, Disney Plus and Hulu in the United States are going to merge. You can see all the little steps taking place. It's just until they get rid of Comcast, they can't do it. So they are going to need original content. They're definitely going to need that because they're going to need people to sign up and they're going to need something to engage with. But I think we're starting to see, definitely within Disney, that there is a method in their system of making the most out of their content. So you put out a brand new show, you put it out on linear and you put it out on Disney Plus. You put out a movie, you put it out in cinemas, you also put it out on Disney Plus. You're trying to make as much viewership and as much money out of this content as to whom you possible. I think originals are still going to be needed. There's a lot of competition and they're going to need it. But we can really see that with everything merging in, they aren't going to be as reliant on those Disney Plus originals because the Hulu side can fill it in a lot easier. And if you've got lots of brand new big shows dropping in, it's a lot easier for them to do. So if you've got like American sports story and also like the old man and you've got Dr. Odyssey, suddenly now you've got multiple shows to keep adults entertained rather than just being reliant on Marvel and Star Wars. And that's a key thing. There's also obviously got there other bits of pieces coming out. But I think just in January, you are going to see a lot less originals in January. But I think you're going to see that across the board. But more importantly, I think you're going to see not just the originals, but they're going to be airing out on other networks and stuff just to try and get more value out of it. But I love to know, do you think they're going to slow down on the matter of originals, but it's fully combined? Love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below. I'm going to go check us out over at what's on Disney Plus.com. Like, follow and subscribe. And I shall see you guys soon. Later. Bye. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You [ Silence ]
