Today is Thursday, September 12th, and this is Coexbury's Daily Bible Reading Plan. Today's scripture comes from the Book of Isaiah, chapter 35, verses 8 through 10. And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the highway of holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God's ways. Fools will never walk there. Lions will not lurk along its course, nor any other ferocious beasts. There will be no other dangers. Only the redeemed will walk on it. Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem's singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness. Now let's apply it. These verses in Isaiah are a reminder that in walking with God, we are walking toward the home He has prepared for us. This pathway is only found by following God, and we are protected by Him along the way. We are walking with other believers with God beside us. In the end, we will be crowned with everlasting joy, and filled with joy and gladness. What can you do today to follow the path God has laid before you?
