(upbeat music) Today is Friday, September 6th, and this is co-experience daily Bible reading plan. Today's scripture comes from the book of John chapter five, verses 39 through 44. You search the scriptures because you think they give you eternal life, but the scriptures point to me, yet you refuse to come to me to receive this life. Your approval means nothing to me, because I know you don't have God's love within you. For I have come to you and my father's name, and you have rejected me. Yet if others come in their own name, you gladly welcome them. No wonder you can't believe, for you gladly honor each other, but you don't care about the honor that comes from the one who alone is God. Now let's apply it. Jesus was not interested in the approval of the people around him. He only cared about God's approval. We too are to honor God and not seek the praise of others. In this social media culture, dominated by seeking the approval of others, remember that the only approval we need comes from God. Thank you for joining us for the Daily Bible Reading Podcast.
