(upbeat music) Today is Tuesday, September 3rd. And this is Coke's very daily Bible reading plan. Today's scripture comes from the book of Mark chapter one, verses 35 through 39. Before day break the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray. Later, Simon and the others went out to find him. When they found him, they said, "Everyone is looking for you." But Jesus replied, "We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them too. That is why I came." So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons. Now let's apply it. Jesus knew he had an exhausting day ahead, but he sought solitude early in the morning to start his day with God. He needed to be alone, to spend time focusing on himself and to focus on God. It's so easy to get caught up in life that we neglect times of solitude, individual worship and prayer. Where can you make space in your schedule for quiet solitude? - Thank you for joining us for the daily Bible reading podcast.
