[Music] Good morning folks and welcome to The Gallant Fuse Modern News for Tuesday 10th September 2024. My name's Colin and I'm delighted to be joined by Jack. Jack is just two days in the whole UNI head out to the sun. Not to get up mate may I add but this is almost like the last week of school for those two. Hi, it's kind of just winding it down now but when you're an adult, you forget I'm in a year. Wine hangs you in a day before you go in holiday so it's new, getting the hands kind of done in the next couple of days and then organizing and house sitters and stuff like that you know what I mean so it's probably going away but when you know and I don't you've got me a response already and the way you're at the door which I don't enjoy as much. Hi, I mean certainly for you or you're going away with the family I find Fuse the afternoon and I'll start working in my bag Fuse the morning and we'll see how we're going but no, are you good anyway mate? Hi, good to be honest mate as much as people were saying it was good to get in a martial break or whatever. Don't you think that right after the game but new I'm actually missing proper football? I know it's always the same and it's always the same man. So when I got a lot of new stories today I run through no too much has happened in the national officials yesterday just Janice Hadji getting a 20 minute cameo for Romania and nothing I won but I think both of you and I are sickless and the tough stories continue so over the last 24 years or so the newspapers both in top here and in front of starting running stories that there's a whole set of Turkish props and twists in James Tavern near Seoul. Peace tambu, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace, peace here. Ferna Batche, Galatas, so I all know what to do with interest and now Giovanni Van Burenkost is apparently interested in taking them to peace, peace, peace, peace. Jack, the Turkish one does still open. Over the last three years every religious player has been linked to Turkey and only three of went and born about it so it's John Monstom and Ryan Kent. But Merrell's was linked every day, everyone goes and is going to everyone to try to even think some day mention that on the record because potentially go back it's just story after story. It seems like way's a journalism. I think if James Tavern near Seoul was going to go, he would have already went and I don't see this happening. It's been three or four years now. It's no just during transfer windows, it's any national break or any kind of break at all. You seem to hear the journalism going a bit tired when you go to Saudi Arabia. Now it's Turkey seems to have been a big cap this year that he's been mentioned with. I'm not doubting a fifth of what I've been doubting in 10 years available to go. I'm not really surprised if teams in Turkey would want them. But I think if it doesn't happen in this international break, if I never hear these links again into a genuine transfer window, which I don't mind, I like the transfer windows, but transfer windows are about. I mean it's no zaphme when you talk about saying another team's captain or another team's player. So I get that happens that's been the rumours I've for. I would rather this one was just what I was going to happen to happen because this is drag dawn so much. And as I say that, I think we've got rid of enough new take tabs for me. And Dook is telling you could pick form up like tabs that actually started season slowly before they end up with 10 goals in 10 games, normally they're about after the first international break. I'm not saying that's going to happen, but for them you can pick that up. But we have got rid of enough senior players and of players that no experienced notes going on. And I'm sorry it's saying that it'd be a free agent out there. We don't have a sign for the agents, that's nowhere. We don't seem to do that. We have not done that. The last decent free agent we signed was Sonia Leco. And that's been back 13 years ago. You know what I mean? So it's no, I'm not convinced that as a guy it's a free agent. I would come in to be like a guy it's going to be a leader for us. We have got rid of enough established leaders and I'm not convinced. I don't mean leaders before somebody goes off, we've only done this and that. But we've got rid of big characters that are addressing them and know they've placed them and we've named them enough times. And I don't want to position them in that at the moment. I think the people will say that we will do you on sale in Ireland, gas and gas results as right back cover. I would say that would be if we're going to fancy them as a very back options. We may have already seen that by now. But even don't need a personal side James to have near. Obviously we said over some of the aid agreed terms, we, as I said, they called the lessons like they made that. That's the right pain that I was a dramatic youth on and anything. We just got too wrong. We got, we were getting some information. Most of it was okay. This one just didn't inspire. So I think if James to have near personally was won the movie, we would have done it in the summer. I don't think he would have started the season. I see we ran a bit on Jack, but I don't think he's running the door with somebody who was a loser. I do think he does have the determination a way in his own terms. So this whole for his own sake. I don't think last week has changed anything personally. I think if he was running away with the win, if he was right, stay with the state and this guy showing up. I don't think it changes anything in James to have in his mind. No, I don't know why it should. This is disappointing as last week was Rangers were six to one with some but he's two in the game. So I don't think if we are six to one in games and losing games, that should be the side in a player's future. Again, I am not saying we should accept and losing the sale to that lap. We need to be realistic at the same time here. Does this mean every time we're upset? Somebody wears a puffer jacket and shorts and goes down in a changing room to the player's committed end of the game and shoots, but I'm not going to lose an owner of us to get ready. No, I mean, I think that would be very re-actually. But I'm not doubting. By the way, and I've seen this in the past, I'm not even doubting. See, like, if Tavia leaves, I'd be male or, well, see the goals and the contribution. See the captain, do you think? I don't get any point you could have said to Tavia. We're going to change it this year. I don't think that would have been a big issue. We have done that with players in the past, changed the captain and it's no really effective. I don't think it does. I don't think the captain's just got his bigger, which call it. I don't think it's his big ideal as a lot of your fans think it is, because see, when Tavia was first captain, you'd go to the team, our field, Marielle or Salome, Gregor, Halander came in, so it was enough. Can a player's there? We've no replaced, vacant players have run out. You don't just, surely, kind of just be one guy with the handband. It's got to be a three or four players getting on, getting the team going or that. But we've already over-established players and brought in mostly inexperienced players, our players aren't good enough. For example, the attack with Fielder was a Rebo, and then it was a tournament for a year. Now he's on boy, but tournament was actually quite a, he would go for it and he was quite an inspirational player. You know, he would day-hings, but then we brought one. See, Lamas, no, I'm not saying he's a bad player. He also isn't a bad player, but he was a quiet player. And I just think there's players that have came in in the last couple of years who don't look like they need lead, more than they can lead. And I think we've got more players that need lead. And I think we had to get two or more, two or three more players in who should be leading. But see, we want to see if, like, Tom Longs, that's a guy. He should be a leader. We have his experience at Darby and, you know, I mean, being a pro for the years. He looks like a player needs lead. You know, so I think it's only recruitment for me. That's not what you say to have me, there's no decline because of his age and the amount of games he's played. But we really had, we have really liked ourselves doing it in the recruitment and getting some experienced players and getting the place to run to let go. Totally, totally, totally, totally. And, you know, probably a draw on Wayne Anderson. So we both don't think it's going to happen. But I think if we go back to yesterday's point, where you and David all agreed that we need, yeah, we need some a little bit definitely feedback. We can't, we can't just continue to rely on just that. So I mean, it should have been done two years ago. We haven't had him divine. New York worried if we put Adam divine in it. He's no real client much professional football football for ages for 18 months that you'd now be throwing him in a deep end. Whereas, see when he had these form when Porna went to it, was still coming back for World Cup, his pressure go to the semifinals and divine committed the first team and sorted it left back. See, you don't know about that. That's when divine should have been alternating with the two. And then you'd have already made first team player. So you didn't have anything to worry about. But we've not done that because we've been dropping and changing minds just so much. So with no go any day, as can I end on? See, he's just done divine. What are you surprised that divine Leon Canyon Alice Lowrie of all state? That's someone they've known when it went on. I'm surprised, very surprised that Lowrie, because I think Lowrie is now, he's, he's, he's behavior. But he's got that kind of style that the players that claim and already does need a little like of go. As an hedging cad, where he seems to be right in a position in a confident midfielder. So we don't, he doesn't seem to really like confident midfielders. We are a bit of style. So he'll be on a notice date from that reason. Leon King Destor needs to get alone because he's a one where, see if Lowrie or divine had to play. I wonder if I can see him seeing Leon King. I don't think he's Ranger's level because of, we have no mind. He's a pro player because we've ran him into the ground in the games and then he's constant when he's going to injury and see whatever he's played since. We've tried to kind of like shoe-horn him and he definitely is there for trying his constant back. But I think Leon King Destor, I have to get alone. I don't see him being a Rangers squad player near the first team does him any benefit. I think Lowrie's got a confidence if he was till the end of the year he'd probably be alright. You know, he's got that. Can I carry himself? I got that. He's got that about my, I don't know if Leon King's got that. But again, the squad has worked as right now. It's a long season, so we might see them feature. Sorry to command it. As Divine featured under Clement, because Divine with feature under Bill seen Clement. I don't know. The last time I remember Divine playing for the Angels first team was a Martin game. When he came on when he was still having an nightmare. That's the ones when people weren't still. If they didn't actually go back and watch that game. But I don't remember Divine featured under Clement, because even with the big engineers at left back, well, she'd end up playing Ben Davies at left back. Do you remember? No, no. Divine wasn't alone anymore. We're all sure. So you know you're right. He's not played under Philip Groves. Oh, so does he fancy on men because even if Tavernier was at all his forum, he has each extremely clean every minute. So in fact, he's moving suddenly. Maybe he's just no partner. He plans to make a climate at all. And we are just wasting more. Maybe. I need the other news story that we, again, it's a fairly small news day. But it'll be interesting to get your thoughts. And this is a man who tries to get to a fair amount of away games. Jack, Rangers yesterday confirmed that the official travel partner got a trip to Malmo, as canceled. And the email says, "We're ready to let you know this trip will not be going ahead." Unfortunately, we have not had enough applications to meet minimum numbers for this trip to go ahead. Your application will be canceled over the next few days. So that's from Sports Speaks. And that was the official day trip through the club. These things should happen. I think it's fair enough. Jack, I think probably the only way that this system will have is how it will wait and hope it will be advertised. It was from the club. So by the time that people knew this was an option, they had already booked all the sports options or done the wrong thing. And I actually fight it. It was only, I'll be honest, I don't know that they were, they had a new official travel partner for these games until then Malmo game was canceled. It's not very good, doesn't it? No, it doesn't look good. But I mean, see if we are involved. We are in a partner, they must realise that a lot of people seeing this day and age are not going to wait on confirmation that you can book flights. You can book hotels yourself. You don't need your hand held. And even if you're weren't your hand held, they'll be great at dealing with a day trip, stuff and all that as well. Was it no last year with carry on? We're going to Ajax or was it PSV? There was one. It was an absolute carry on. So it was a couple of years ago when there was games where we went two weeks notice or something. I didn't end up a bit here, a bit here through a bit of an audience because then everybody missed it. It was end up quite a little sober. It was going through the delivery ticket and I get it. But I kind of messed up the whole process here. So I think, I just always try and do it independently. You know what I mean? I find it easier and independently. I was kind of trying and tired. Like, can I hold it on a bit as well? I find that you're best done that way because travel partnerships it's noticed us. I've heard a couple of horror stories where people know, I don't look at people doing self. It's a support man, you know. It's knowing that they sell it. They just do their own thing as well. So I don't think it's just that explosive thing. Just think, you know, it's your bad deal. It's been attached. If you'll meet Celtic fans when you're going abroad in airports, and they do similar areas where they'll just go out. I'm going to Glasgow Airport, then I'm going to Bristol, then, in Germany or whatever. I think it's your best to let yourself if you want to get there. I think going to a travel partnership. There you go. There's no interest. You're good to them. So we will just cancel it for them. We'll make money off it. I know. I think that would be interesting. I think if rangers can start running these regularly and successfully then people will be interested. Again, I mean, I've done the data up to Vienna again. As I think, some people, the data, some will option through time off work or whatever. So at that point, I just want to get the one day off work. I did work on the next day, which was brutal. I think rangers will be appetite for them. But people need to know in advance before they start picking up. I mean, sports options also do. Virtually so do. They'll fight some people they want it. Rangers need to be on a front foot, making sure people know earlier when they can book it earlier on because sports options had released that were gone a week before. Rangers announced this, apparently. So they do still have trips to this and Athens. But I don't know if they were ahead. But again, the whistles will be a bit more time in advance for this one. So I think I just think this will be sold out straight away. I don't know because you need to build up the trust in this for years, which sports options have done rangers fans have done. And that's why so many fans will turn to them first. Nicole? My height is well. My knee's shaking. There's a lot of flights cut going at a bit into my line. Close to that game, and that's no too far. So see that you can make it anyway. And this will just put people after. But as you said, but no, everybody can plan in advance. And then that's the same. Like the way the options. See, it feels like a family year ago, and it was at 6 or 7. So you don't want to be able to build a fishery. You just want to get a flights book that's cheap as possible and stuff like that. So it's got to be done better moving forward. I think. Nice. So we see how they're going, I suppose. But I just take out a lot of DIYs and just market your day trips. A little bit better and a little bit earlier on, because I was pointing out fans who are putting their boots in the Euro trips. As soon as the drawers made people got a laptop on ready for these games getting announced. So we can book a travel in a bit, because we know, I was one, we said, but other ones in January. We were definitely going away. No matter where it was. It was a good moment. A family holiday. Then there was Manchester. So I'll take all the freeos to get there. But see the fair, it's worth it because the hotels are actually a good place for a couple of days. And you can buy hospitality packages for that one line. Half man use. So it's not too bad. I might not have a bad idea if you're, because you never know where the allocation is going to be. Because the Manchester post on the big fan zeros and the last time we played Man U, we had done it via, don't have done it yourself. You were at Oregon Stadium for three years before the game. That was terrible. That was it. We've done the last time we played them, didn't they? I always knew it was the last time I was at a game in Manchester. That's where Man U of a cool game all the way enough. But no, that wasn't it. That was the one where they went. But it just seemed bizarre. It was horrible one day. Because we left eyebrows about nine-ish. And somebody said to me to go down south for nine before, and I thought, no, I couldn't be bothered. Well, I wish I did because when it was like calling boys, I'd say it left eyebrows. And see if you were knowing that an actual supporter was through it. And you just put your random learning people. So it was already awkward at nine in the morning. We were these randoms. And they were very much on the behaviour. Quite likely. But seeing nine o'clock when the game doesn't start to rotate, you're in Wigan, a back of 12, one o'clock. And then you were just hanging out with Wigan Stadium. And there was no much run about it. You know what I mean? And it was about a long day now. That was a... I didn't really enjoy that experience. So we got Man U out now within four days properly. And if we didn't get a Man U in, then so be it. And in the hospitality. At least we'll actually know we'll enjoy it. We'll start getting done. Yeah, I think you'll get your dinner as well. I suppose it's always a nice bonus. So that's... There's no much Man U today. But I'm going to finish up with a question, Jack. I'm just copping, pacing from the grand few group chat. And I'm probably going to get laughed at half people for, "How can you say this was better than personal?" This was actually called my goals in personal last season. So it was that. I'm saying, I'm mostly in the community with personal. But personal is more of a kind of combative guy up front. Target man. We don't really have any of the supplies that. But yellow rich could score mostly first touch. Then he missed many chances. And he would kind of... Wands it look like a half chance. Yellow rich would bury them as if it was a foul chance. So I think we would benefit more from yellow rich. And I think we were both there for 18. Well, personal was there for three years. But he's in the last 18 months. Then there was a famous Rangers singer bringing him back. Finging the two early. And he was never the same again. Yellow rich, we got him about 24. Night 11 is with 26. I think I go yellow rich. You notice that he's actually much better than the other one. I just think if it was a current Rangers team, we could benefit for number nine. It just smashes a ball. So it comes in the box. You'd take your hand off. Oh, I love them. And Nicky Chaiella, which has fast touch finishing. It's done the same forever. And it was... It was a thing of beauty here really was. But I'm going to go with Addo Posho, Jack. Some of the reasons to you apply it to you, whether that's current Rangers team needs. And they need that, like, bastard, who ratios run through every role for you. And Addo Posho was an absolute warrior. The reason I was doing that is because of Arne, that's why. And I was like, "Yeah, it wasn't an offer on game while I call them." And I like, "Well, that's going to be targeted." That's why I went more for you in the modern game. Ah, it's maybe fair, maybe fair. And maybe you can wait for that to hear what our players say. The early 2000s and how they cope in the far game. I still think Posho would be covering off the...
