[MUSIC] [MUSIC] Hello, folks and welcome to the Thursday night live show in the Gallup series. I'm your host, Andrew Stewart, your favourite metonduist. I've asked a lot of cast tonight, as we're always doing. I like to talk about, maybe not transfer news, a lot to talk about an affron, but definitely some positive results for once, which is weird saying that. But with me tonight, I'll start with James, who are you mate? I'm all right mate, I'm good. I'm just hoping that we'll get some good news tomorrow about Lynne Fluxer, a few transfers coming in and hopefully we'll start this off on a good stage for the weekend. I'd hate to say it, but I've already wished away all my birthdays and my Christmas is on that metondu goes at the weekend. So I'm no use to you in terms of offering up things for transfer look. Also tonight, David, how are you? Not bad mate, good to be back. In terms of my enthusiasm for the transfer window, it's dwindling wherever it goes by, but knowing I was going to pull a few last minute signings at the bag at 10am or something tomorrow, hey ho, remains to be seen I guess. Yeah, I can't wait this year, what line up we've got at part here, after we've signed 17 people, modern football, we won't be a modern football club, but it's been a modern football club like Chelsea in saying half the nation of Uganda and have them all on the team coach for the way to park head, but at last but not least, Jack, how are you, man? I could just take on it, boys, I'll say and hopefully get all you better news on that. I've forgotten I've seen something the day a bit, but haven't it happened? Yeah, it's a bit rough now, I've kept on kicking it down the can down the road, I thought the transfer talk in the summer, the summer pods have been doing, but it's only running out the road to kick the can down at this point in time, but as I said, we'll have a positive discussion tonight based on the performance at the weekend, we'll start where we usually start with that line up, the face, the account at the weekend there, there was Jack Button then go, James Tavernier, John Sutter, Leon Baligan, Jeff Day, Sterling Barron, Lawrence, Mattondo, Cerny and Dessus, James, we'll start with ourselves, any of the kind of, well what was your thoughts when you seen the team use go up, I know my thoughts, and I think everybody else, given the fact I've named dropped them about five times in the first three and a half minutes of the pod, but what was your thoughts and any names that jumped out to you straight off? I thought obviously the O'Mandy being on the subs bench, I think it was maybe the one I owned, the O'Firm game coming up on the weekend, I was quite surprised to see your man in the line up, my Tondo, however everyone would have made me, can I eat my wads after about half an hour or so, he had one of the games made, but he was 10 out of 10, I just hope that if he has picked next week, he has the exact same impact on the team, again, it was one of the main ones, I think he was only picking who he could, just having one I owned next week, and for that it was just, I think it was a running a mild result for us, that we should be gov in teams like Ross County, however, as we all know, we've kind of slipped up there on the first against him, but it was good to get a good, a few goals in there, and the goals were obviously spread around him, a few people, and then obviously the goals scored machine dancers getting on the act again, he slowly made me eat my wads and if he gets a goal next week that gets us a three points, I will be first at his door with a bigger apology later. Yeah, as I said, I mean, you before always, my own live, I'd give everything to a positive result, I went in there, it would really change, I think the mentality about the club and just a bit more positivity, and there was not been a lot to really go about in the start of the season, obviously getting dumped out at the Champions League, opening day draw, but we're not going to be too negative, as I said, we're going to be positive tonight, we'll save that for the Sunday night show, depending on how it goes, but David, I obviously, I know as I said, what name jumped to me, but I was actually really happy to do John in the squad, I think obviously as James said, they're having Theo and the manager's mind for this weekend and not wanting to risk it with our injury record, but also more minutes in the legs for Germany as well, I think it was actually attacking line up in terms of having both my toe and journey on the wings, they have really had a go in trying, you know, drive it, county, what would you respect for us county, it's a team that we should be going in trying to get that result, I think, what was your thoughts on the kind of attacking this other, this kind of line up the mission? Yeah, as I said earlier in the week, what pleased me was, I mean, obviously the result and the amount of goals we scored was, you know, a massive shift, but also how the goals were created and how we scored them because we played with the back, there were so many players involved in the goals, you know, we were passing, there was none of this, you know, hitting hope for a defence and hoping that some of their latches are not front, every goal was quite, I mean, it was clinical finishing, but the build up, the passing was very involved, loads of players, you know, available for the ball, we looked a lot more like a unit, you know, a team that communicated, and before that, I thought we had to be rather disjointed to put it quietly, so I was quite encouraged by the fact that the goals were what you would call team goals, I suppose, you know, just how we built them up in the involvement of so many players, so yeah, that was totally encouraging, but the result was fantastic. Despite the fact that Ross Kevin A, it's definitely got to be a confidence builder going forward. Jack, I mean, for me, at going into the game, I was thinking back to part a couple of weeks ago before this in Johnston game in the cup, I'd said, going into the old farm, two wins, don't care how it happens, we just need to win, get through in the cup and get an R3 win, it's nearly going to the first-old family season, and I'd say that kind of two games you only know is now complete, I'm actually not feeling too bad about it, I wish the team was a bit of a, if we go out the cup to St. Johnston, this could go so far real fast, but there's not a positive saying, it's a little bit more positive, the fact that, you know, Rangers didn't ruin our weekends back to back, and they got positive results in both of those games, I mean, we were saying if we lost to St. Johnson before that game, it would have been terrible, but that's a bit boring, so it hangs in a balance, especially Rangers may have in maze clubs, you know, only one result for going mad, but I used that back, I don't know what we're saying, it's been disappointing, it's been disappointing this season for the board, the point of view driving us out of the eyebrows pretty much and being quite slow to get the players in, they were quick enough to tell us I've been well looking at something new, certain players know this, and that's fine, that's what a lot of people were after, but I wasn't a partner, I don't know what it's saying, I draw a 10 cast, it's never a disaster, it's disappointing sometimes, but I draw a 10 cast, I'm going to a Europe when we were quite unlucky with a card, so you do, we've had a three week, no, I know they're wondering what they mean better, but we've had a three week new prepare for a part kid, we have no idea how to start the season, granted by the game's view, we've always been a Wednesday start, we're a Thursday Sunday, so I'm just going to let you pause it if you don't actually go on the park, that's all we can ask for, after players? Yeah, we'll get into the breakdown of the game, I mean, I didn't take range as long to get started, which I mean, sometimes it does feel like, you know, we've been caught, especially when you talk about the game that's coming up, caught not ready for the first whistle, I've not been ready to go, you know, I go inside 20 minutes, I deal with an assist from Tom Lawrence, I mean, when Lawrence came back into the team, I mean, I'm not going to lie to you and tell you that I've been done Lawrence's biggest fan over the last few podcasts I've been on, I've been working a little bit more for a moment in terms of, you know, work rating and end product, and, you know, I can't really fault them for looking back at it, James, I mean, Tessa's got his goal, but also from a Lawrence standpoint, definitely good to see him providing. Yeah, 100%, I think it's, I tend to agree with you, I think, everything you see, Lawrence's his name, the team sheet, you're just waiting for me to get a break done, and it's a shame because the boy is a very, very good player, and he proved on Saturday exactly what he can bring to this team. I feel like if it's Tom Lawrence, it's going to be really, really important for the Rangers. However, I'm going to obviously come to Dick, I say I don't think he'll start him Sunday against him, however, but I liked his turn to get away for the guy, and he's also slipped in his answers for the first goal, and a big man just took one touch and finished it, and I think that's, I think he's starting to do that to be a bit more now, whereas maybe I cut him on to go and maybe take that second, third and fourth touch, and by that point, the defenders owe him all the goalkeepers of Tom, so he seems to be taking one touch steady, he's shouting, "Get any shot away," which is boding well for the boy, and I hope he goes and does it any next week, well, sorry, Sunday. David, I mean, as Miss James has said, that this was taking his goal well, I mean, we've seen him, you know, just mere chops in him, then that, that kitchen, you know, it's, back and forth, it's left, it's right, it's, you know, it's, it was just atrocious at times, but fair play, I think, I want to say, I don't want to try and get to it, I had to myself, you know, that the way he took his goal in this interesting game, you know, it took that really when I had, you know, it's maybe trending, you know, in the positive direction, maybe we're seeing the best of them now, which, which your thoughts are? We've seen in the past, um, strikers, or any other position I've come in, and, you know, they've took a season, um, to really, for the fans to either warm to them, or for them just to have any impact, I mean, they certainly had an impact by a season, but what I will say about him is, like, when he was lacking, and, you know, that precision touch and finish, I mean, I don't think he's had ever went down, um, he's enthusiasm seems to always kind of, like, pour out all of them, regardless of his forum, so I can give him credit for that for his first season, but this season I think we're looking at, uh, a much, uh, more assured and stable player, and I think, obviously, we'll do the rewards on that. I don't think he can do it up front on his own for a whole season, um, he's either going to need to be rotated at some point, or someday supporting him, um, but yeah, I think so far he's, I mean, he's came out all guns blazing, and, I mean, it's definitely, it's obviously been a massive benefit to us, but also to him, both for, um, just in terms of getting him settled, getting him, you know, he's confident, spustied, and generally just, you know, being that asset that we're looking for him to be. No, Jack, this is, uh, for me, this is one of these "where will you" moments, um, as, as, as anything, but maybe my tons of does, but to pop up and get the second for his, you know, 45 minutes before, you know, I have assessed, I know there's going to be a big discussion about a certain tie coming up this weekend against a certain team, and they have a certain player who has a lot of pace, um, and dies in my either, um, and we've seen it happen before, we've seen it a few times, I've seen it so far, we're a tavernier, you know, he's maybe not adjusting to that, that loss of first yard pace, um, and, and he's, I don't want to see he's been the odd one out in the back line, but, you know, there's been some games where it's been head scratching stuff as to, you know, I don't think you can do this kind of anymore, and it's, it's tough to see if someone, like myself, who is back to taverniers as far as I can, um, but getting an assist at the weekend, I don't want to say it would be hard to, to drop him, I mean, I think Alan Hutton said, in the nicest way possible today, that he should be given a rest for the Celtic game, which is a nice way of saying, I don't want him playing, um, what's, what's your thoughts, I mean, we've had this, this tavernier discussion a lot during the summer, but this is a, a really big game coming up at this weekend, and it's a, it's going to be a big challenge for this couple. Tarlston, not a lot rang this season. Unfortunately, he's under the microscope, we're a lot of fans, and a lot of fans are obsessed with him, and they want him to feel what I hate to say, because once ago, Chief Tarl feels I'm right, he must have hated claimants for six months, because he had done nothing wrong, and he was winning his Cup finals, um, so a bad pass at time castle, and caught out a couple of times, as for a right back, who's never been great to find us here at a month, that's not that bad, right, for sure, it's about both terms, a taverniers always struggled to be a direct runner against him, when he never struggled with using a drying jack, or a lynched him in a midfield, no one stumped him towards end of last season, we need to line up, against Celtic, protecting the back floor. Years ago, loving clients committed an Angels team, and ripped apart to say like the fans, it stumped him after a year, because he meant we need to line up to protect the pace coming for you. See that my ender as well, I don't know if you know this, he does this, does that, the two things he's done against us last season, that fluke goal was a fluke, I know Tav should have done better, but I was a pure fluke that goal, and see the one who went behind to have influenced him, launched him, secured that more and opened it in eight, so I don't really buy an iris, my iris in that, I watched him against it on the other day, it really isn't it, you just need to be a bit wiser in the midfield and not let him get to that position, and my mitav could be a bit wiser in just a year I don't know what I mean, but I don't buy an iris, this, but an iris if he's a satin next thing, and who do we play, we don't play right back, so he seems dealing, I've seen him play once for being dealt right back, and he'd have rotten game against it, I'm wanting to get sub for Adam Devine, I'm still in some infielder for me, so that's my take on it, probably get dog-subvious for it, but that's what it means. That's why we love a podcast, it's opinionously exactly why we do these shows, and everyone's entitled to their own opinion, so anyone that is typing frantically in the comments, can I just get a rest tonight, I'm hosting and I can't be bothered having to deal with it, that's my nicest way of saying it's been a long week, and it's only going to get longer with this game at the weekend, and as I said, I mean we've just talked about the second goal, that was my man, my man Ravi, you would then turn the provider, almost to their remark for Dessar's second, I mean I was seeing the tweets rolling, I never made it to the game, which I know my luck is the game that Mattondo goes and puts on a masterclass that I wasn't there for, but my Dessar's being clinical again, it's nice, James, it's almost put them to the sword mentality, because we've seen it a few times, we're coming at half-time, being the better team, having goals scored in the first half, and then just coasting, but that the second goal from Dessar's set up to what was to happen in the rest of the second half. Yeah 100%, it was really really good to see our winger actually going at a right back or a left back mat, as I think I say to everyone, as we go into the pod, that I'm fed up with wingers that run it, fall back, stop, and then go back the way, at least go and take the guy you own and that's what the Tondo did, and I think this is a really, really weak and a lot of credit, it's got to go to Ross County, because they actually came out and tried to play football, instead they're just sitting there making the two banks or four and saying, "Hey, that coming break is done, because we're just sitting there eating your line." That's why they tried to play football, and they had a cut of chances, but they got to also make Tondo, I thought it was really, really good work for him, to also go at the guy, he's got that pace and that's what can happen, and I think that meat benefit is in Sunday as well, but his pace because obviously they'll come out being the home team, they'll leave spaces and find out that Alistair Johnston or Gollum as I come, I think I've never seen me, I've met a mere bang average right back in my life, and he's plotted up, he gets lauded up for something that he's really known, and I think, hopefully, my Tondo will be able to take him to the show in Sunday, let's go to this place beneath here, we're waiting to obviously get a good result, as everybody's saying, the confidence is up now, let's just go in, let's go there and put up a fight, don't go down there and just lie there and get my barely tickled again, I'm sick of going to that coop and just saying to them right on you's go, just go and score, or do what you want to do, we need to go there mate and win the fight, and I think that's been the same for the years and years, going to that place, you need to win the fight first, we've got to get in there, we've got to the first whistle, Gannon just takes on do it, because let's face it, the first cut of minutes, what's the chance he's E getting booked, well, unless you're wearing a blue shirt right enough, but for me, go there, go in hard on Sunday and see him, he's around for a game of day, he's only going to roll out the tappies or no goni, play the ball by his, and just go there and meet and fight for every single ball, but it was obviously good to see a Tondo, a bit of confidence about him, and obviously, Dessals, at the end of the day, might only have been that happen, but he had to be in that position to tap the ball, and so it was good to see the guy getting in that position as well mate. David, I've been in it over the hour, Mark there, and now Tom Lawrence has found himself on the score sheet from a Tondo assist, I mean, I was just sitting back, I was in a coach, and they were doing it to them three, so I was just sitting back and muffling, just relaxing, watching this, throwing football, seemed to unfold, and going maybe I'm the jinx, I'm not there, then we start to turn on the flayer, but Tom Lawrence, obviously, as I said, I'm not going to sugarcoat it and say that I'm his biggest supporter, because if you were to go back a week ago or two weeks ago, you would find the opposite, but you feel almost bad, you know, going and assist, and you still go, no, if it's, the midfield should be bad in stealing the Amanda straight away, I mean, a good performance, but still it feels like it's a, that question's already been answered for the team shoot for us weekend. Erm, you're on mute, Dave. Sorry, everybody does it once, everybody does it once. Erm, I mean, I'm on record this scene that has never been near the top of my, er, players to say worst, er, at the same time he's never been talking to players to start worst, erm, I think coming off the bench, er, maybe 20 minutes, half an hour, whatever, erm, he's capable of, erm, of, you know, doing something, but as we've saw, when he starts, he's usually off after a bit, I never anyway, so I mean, I don't know if he's got a full game in him, or if it's just purely tactical that he comes off, but having him coming off the bench, I've got later in the game, I've got no issue with it, erm, as I say, he's not like, I don't think he's an essential cog in the wheel, erm, but what I would say is that he's definitely got, he's got experience and he's got a variety, you know, to make some sort of difference. Erm, I mean, if he was teary either, it wouldn't, it wouldn't bother me, but yeah, certainly I think, erm, I think with the games coming up, I think he can, I think he'll be a useful, a useful option at least off the bench. Yeah, I'd agree there, I think, erm, he definitely offers, you know, his ability in there, I just don't think in the 90 minutes for Rangers, erm, yeah, I don't know if we, we give him the platform that he needs, erm, and that's just our Rangers and Scottish football thing, I think he's not best suited for him, but I think, er, definitely, I think for the, the weekend, the option of the bench, even if this season, he'll definitely still be a, a useful player to have in and amongst the squad, I know, as we'll get on to it, a wee bit later, that area in the park is a bit of a, a grey area in terms of transfers, ins and outs, erm, but er, I will get on to that one. Erm, Jack, we made a, we made a sub one shortly after the goal, erm, machine loans come off, to come on, the desk is to come off, and Daniel have to come on, erm, obviously I'm not going to, we're not going to go on too much about the game as we could talk about it, only a positive result for once, but er, Daniel coming back into this, this squad, getting some more minutes in his legs, and er, obviously they'll let go from Daniel himself about the circumstances in which the ball falls to him, maybe the fortunate but to put the ball in the net, and you know, it's first go back from us, being a round back injury for him, I think, all that time off, you can see how much he meant to him, erm, I think it's probably step one done on, on his way back to, you know, being a real solid player for us. I'm already in record of the same one here, see that goal he scored, that would end up for him and I'm on for them not doing the house to get his sharpness back, see the confidence that he had in a deserves update, erm, it's one of the ones where he'd be really disappointed in this, but he still has to be sharp and turn on and take it, because I've seen Reindel Stryker's Missy, Chances a few years ago recently, but not er, good on him, er, really timely for us and all, because as much as I think this has been really well this season, it can be it by itself, we've got too many big games for one guy to be doing it by itself, so I'm absolutely delighted for Daniel and to say it's incredible, knowing you see him for the coming again, I don't know if you'll play a part on Sunday but next time you see him you'll look hungry and look for the ball in that mirror, because he's got that goal, it helps so much. I think er, from, from the er, we'll move on towards er, our next ah, topic which is obviously tomorrow's deadline, erm, tomorrow evening's deadline at us, I think if we were to look back through the summer podcast, as I said earlier on erm, click in the candle in the road and expect and you know, we'll make the right business at some point, if we need another one I will find them, we'll find them erm, talk about, see my obey late signing in the window, when I know Thursday at five minutes to nine erm, maybe this hasn't planned out that we were expecting it to the gyms. I don't think it always may, it's erm, I'm starting to lose a lot of your revenue mate, every time there's a tweet coming in it's, it's either wishing some day a happy birthday or, I don't know if it's actually the reason that we've no been able to see anybody do whatever we've been playing past the parcel, er, we call our baron for his birthday, erm, and actually there's nobody but anybody in the door this day, erm, I am hoping to touch with that, that is positive signs that more I mate up for nine o'clock, erm, I love the transfer window, erm, normally sitting here with my yellow tie you know that one, erm, but I'm hoping it was going to be positive and more I mate, I'm hoping for at least three, I would really want four in the door erm, but I'll take three, I'm just hoping that we get the right players in and they've been just been waiting for the kind of hanger-on's, let's say, like I can't build and stuff like that, take it out the door so we can also start to bring people in, again it's one of their bands, he's saying something, I'm reading it, erm, they've been the start now having for, er, for Sunday, the kind of takes it that they're no going to start to know everybody and erm, and 24 hours are there, which is kind of a baron sign, erm, we might not see any of them, erm, for me travel to the air who's shown erm, erm, Sunday. David, er, one of these moments, er, it was a very dangerous moment, you know, discussions leading into the first game of the season, you know, the eve of the hearts game and, you know, we're starting to go away, but maybe we're able to be lighting the transfers, er, it's a bit late, even, I think, proper, come in that week and they'd said, oh, it's not the right time er, to bring them in, it's too early for them to have been brought in the hearts game and just like that, hearts and downs, Malachi, both in the night before the afternoon of the game and he's on the bench and then came on and played a part, I think erm, everything that, er, even the small bits I've talked towards the media, erm, the sound bites, er, it's been a bit of a tragic window, it feels like at times of what's coming out and almost maybe not coming through, I mean there was hope, we'll maybe see by tomorrow night, the whole comment last week from come on about more incomeings and outgoings and er, it's one of these where you're thinking, if we maybe just don't see anything at all, we'll maybe come off of it a bit better? Erm, yeah, erm, I was confident er, almost repeating what James just said, I thought that we needed four, but we would get three erm, obviously, that's working unrightly with 26 of us to go, I'd be eyes are working hard on even in the closing hours, but erm, I think if anything does happen in the closing hours, it's maybe not even going to be plan B's, it's going to be plan C, plan D whatever, erm, erm, erm, I mean, obviously I am losing confidence, erm, we claimed the comments comments last week er, regarding more er, ends of the notes, I think that was er, erm, I think that was what you would call er, a tactical comment to put pressure on the board and erm, can er, build fans' expectations of the board, erm, I don't think he perhaps seriously believed it, but I do think it was maybe a nod to the board to, you know, get a move on basically, get the raw season gearing, you know, make proper offers for players who are, you know, the first choices erm, it does remain to be seen, I realise a lot can happen, but er, I don't think we're getting many of the players we've been linked with er, but Jeremy might still come, although he's been linked elsewhere to Bologna, I believe er, Scott writes apparently agreed terms with bombing erm, er, according to Skysports News, we're in a bit quarter past date erm, his wages I don't think are substantial enough to, you know, make up, you know, free up a space, so you speak in a nice way saying at all, another project as we call it erm, so erm, erm, I dare say a few come in but I don't think there will be the ones that we wanted er, along basically erm, which is disappointing in its frustrating erm, because the manager does the conductive as this fair enough, he has a say in the players but once he identifies them it's, it's out of his hands so if we're getting an enlobo on for players and we're immediately out of bed, erm, he's kind of pointless isn't it? Yeah I mean er, I think back to sitting by the pool in Spain early in the window and seeing the Cordoba erm, talk really starting to pick up in here and all the way I made to one place, the player wants to join erm, and then seeing obviously when you get out gun they go as else where I'm thinking that the Cabernet, the winger from Shalka I think you know, all the, it seemed early, early on. We've got a list of players but we think we'd do a job for writing to the category of these that's player trading more. There are a lot of players on the younger side, erm, not a lot of them came. I think the only one that really came to the club from that point from those early days was Nassau, erm, from, er, early rumours and we've not even seen a lot of him to be perfectly honest. He's not really writing the eye of most of the Rangers support, I think a lot of people asking questions, erm, then you've got, like, a manny who's, there's been a lot of questions, not a lot of answers about a business as a whole, Jack, from the summer, I mean, your highs may be journey so far, I mean, he's, he's probably looked pretty decent, obviously that's not a deal that we've got a permanent fee in place for, from what I've always told and what I'd rather think it's a loan, it's just an out and out loan, erm, obviously I think when we've all seen a manny come in, come in and thinking a young striker, who doesn't want a young striker who can score the goals, we've not seen that, it's been ups and downs and that's Windo, what's your general thoughts on it? Oh, Baron in cheer, I'm the other two successes, I don't, do I count, I mean, Cortez, getting injured, do I count the Amanda's win coming in, this Windo, I mean, because he has a good player, I know he was the uptime this season, but he's also won, it's came in, I don't even see this new official today, the loan before we buy him next year or something, but I don't think we've actually bought him bad, but as you say in saya, when I see him in a Birmingham game he'll look up to a first team standard, so he's going to get into the B team, so that's a play that's no way I'm excited and the striker getting injured, that's just, that's why he hangs, it seems to happen to us, may often know, but I have seen it in just fans in the last couple of years, you'll see when you shoot for rebounds, rebounds what when you've got money, you've got players in the squad that are pushing other players for a start, you get to a free crack and young players coming through, that's when rebounds work, they don't work when you're getting rid of players who have got their own value, guys are walking it for nothing and you've no got a lot of money, then you're relying on your scouting and players that you'll need to inspire, for example, you come in and they're right in, they're ready for the first team and that's some realistic way for his age, so business has been slow, but this is what's happened, I don't know, it's a business in the last couple of years, it's, well, how well I've ran it, it's got us to risk is actually, you know what I mean, and I have rebounds as I said, only what when you've got a lot of money and good players waiting in the wings and that's two things we have no goal. Yeah, I mean, I would just like to point out and apologise to the, the listeners this time, your spot on, I, I don't know if it's more kind of bad and feeling like he's been here the last five years, he's just been that much of a smooth transition into the squad, I completely forgot to mention him is probably my favourite player we've seen in the summer, so yes, I'll take a minor staunch point there, that's my, my bad. James, I mean, it's, it's, as you said, we're still, would be like to bring some in, and obviously there's still some names being touted out was because we obviously mention Scott Wright, I mean, it's close to the exit doors, you can be without being at Glasgow Airport trying to get a one move to Turkey and then coming back with a haircut as Scott Wright did last season, but another player in that kind of bracket of being in the waiting room of the exit door, Todd Cantwell, we'll go back to Pods months ago and you hear people maybe saying to build the team round Todd, but now it's a, that's two teams, two dummy spat out and two exit doors for Todd, then he's, and he's CV, it's been quite, yeah, getting in yang almost for, for his time at Rangers, started so bright, and it seems to be ending in, in quite poor circumstances. Ah, he was one of the players that I thought that we were, when we first came in, I thought we'd get a really, really good player here, he was obviously at the right age, had to know which of an own, I don't know if maybe something's happened in his personal life, of the idea that it's just been a factor is that he's just not been able to handle the pressure of playing for Rangers, where he needs to play, you know, you can adapt below 95% playing for Rangers, sorry, he did it, doing a game and he was doing it for knowledge, not being the no, don't know a bigger club, do you know what I mean, they might also be playing in a better league, but don't know, it's one of the ones where you can get away by playing at 75% for him, you can kind of get that, er, er, when you're playing for Rangers and it's, and it's, the boys got all the talent in the world, I just don't think he's got the, the discipline of the heart even, they obviously be at Rangers and I want to fight for his place, I don't know if you've come on to come in and say to him, you're not going to be a starter, if you might be a starter, you're going to have to prove yourself again, and maybe he's just kind of three's, he's the name he's told you's got the parameter but it is a shame because I did think he was going to be one of the players that we could have built the team around, er, in a short and glimpses footage but it's just one of the ones who knew me, it's just a case, er, let's get them out there to worry and get something that wants to be here and wants to play for Rangers. Yeah, it's erm, and even this is the case, I mean right now, as I said, do I get into this last day and this morning it felt like a curve ball would be the black, the black bun deal was falling through, er, obviously John used to sit, you know, there's been no substantial progress on any movement erm, to bring in players for that, for a black bun erm, which obviously that whips the Scottish mainstream media into a frenzy, saying can't walk stays, can't walk stays but then within hours it seems to have picked black up and it's just, you know, almost, the final box is being ticked and dirty-dising cross tees, erm, David is, er, I, I will admit, I'm resigned to probably not getting one more in or more than one in, at this point out, it's a part of the hopes that we get at least one in but I, er, I feel we'll be settling at one potential, I think it's, I know we've, we've talked about deadline day and all the, how long that day can feel and, you know, how many teams can bring in players and so late and so such quick notice but as you said they all are going back to your comment, so if we're not getting our A-rated players we're gonna go through the B-rated players and if we're not gonna get the B we're gonna end up with C's erm, it's hard to not feel a bit digicted, I mean, I don't want, I don't want, I don't want staunch points again comparing across the city, they've made their big sale as, I think the majority of us, it's coming but they've went straight to reinvest and they've got, they look like they're bringing in a like for like, for a 11 mil, that's, that's something quite significant, erm, we're still waiting on players to leave for us to be able to bring in players, it's, it's still long and assured of it, it's more, we're behind the eight ball in terms of transfer dealing, erm, but we need to back these players, whoever, if there is gonna be ones that come in, if not, we're just gonna have to back the players that we have. Yeah, I think erm, I mean I think we accepted a good way, I go, but I'm not gonna begin out anytime soon and pissing away a 11 million, 10 million, even 7, 8 on er, any player, I know that the young guy, yeah, Kay, Kay, Kay, he was talented at a season on loan plus 7 million, but even for me that seems, excuse me, unrealistic, erm, if it happens I'll be buzzing obviously, erm, so yeah, it's, obviously I don't blame anybody for being despondent come out in a clock tomorrow, erm, it doesn't help when people, you know, weeks ago, you know, give up and say it's been a sheet, window, sack, the board, sack, the manager, I mean I've seen suggestions after two games about er, Clemont's sheet, bring in, bring in Derek McInnes, you know what I mean, wait, wait, wait, what is the logic in that, you know what I mean, just what they used to play for Rangers, he's Scottish, he's, er, a manager's come on, you know, I don't see his qualifications, erm, what I will say is erm, yeah, er, I mean I'm trying to remain confident, but yeah, it's erm, it's difficult to erm, but it's the bigger picture, it's not just transfers, there's so many, you know, consistent disappointments that it's hard to focus on one thing, if you hand what he did it erm, it's ridiculous as it sounds, erm, so yeah, I think we are looking at the option D's and option C's now, erm, just we're looking at the amount of time left, I think the amount of time we've been ranked with certain players, there should have been some movement by now, erm, we can't well, as I said already, erm, I don't really have many issues about the fee, erm, the fee is disappointing erm, it's more of a bothering on a bit of apostake, but erm, I've seen even in these comments and comments elsewhere that people are saying how can sell to get three million for erm, makey johnson and we can only get six hundred for can, erm, erm, the difference is that makey johnson, as they publicly outy, there's a problematic player, erm, so, erm, we've taken our back to ourselves in the corner and erm, accepting erm, whatever comes in for can't well erm, it'll be good to get his wages off the bill, if the reported 25 a week is accurate erm, but yeah, it's erm, our business and it's hard not to compare er to that mob, obviously we're going to compare but erm, you know when you compare it's night and day and erm, it's not going to change any time soon. Yeah, I mean erm, it's at this point where erm, it's almost like, I don't want to talk about transfers anymore, I just want to watch football now and I want to see the game and not the business behind erm, but that's alright until you realise that the game that's next up is the big one erm, Jack, we erm, we find ourselves behind in the league table erm, obviously they open and they draw at time castle erm, but still very, very early days in the league long road to go erm, first of all from the season poses, a lot of elements to the, the psychological and obviously the physical battle within sizing up the opposition as erm, just by that time the summer window with the finished and we're locked in there until January, erm, obviously we'll look back to last season and erm, for me the circumstances in which erm, we, we went out of the champions league to end over and erm, we then played out old from lose erm, erm, in quite an angering fashion, the gold disallowed erm, the roof tackle and was it lag up your covers and they're okay, can't it mind erm, and we're going loose to the kill go volley and erm, at that point in time it felt like that was probably one of the early signs that, obviously we had a poor result in the first day of the season as well to come out, but Beow was maybe not going to work, see erm, see this result doesn't go away at the weekend, we're due standing with Clemente because I've seen a lot of people today saying out of the games he's played have not won anything meaningful and erm, that's not just a common thing, that's a team thing, but erm, I think I've seen a lot of fans really pushing the panic button after the first, erm, we have to lose it this weekend. See you say it could be beating this free and full now, you'd be saying right, he's not to these games, erm, there, erm, there's mostly been the odd goal, obviously there's a draw right there beat his nails, there's been the odd goal and I've came through some mistakes, we have missed chances in the games and there's been some horrific erm, honest mistakes, but erm, for evil call it, you know, so, let's not go, there's my dog, so I'm going to go to somebody walking by here, erm, but erm, I don't, I think, see if we, see if we'd get a good account myself in Sunday and erm, I don't want to sound like a happy clap, I'll see yours all get cold, but if part kid didn't start the season's all, it's going to be a very hard game, erm, I'd forget a good account myself is getting about erm, I mean, obviously if he'll always be five points behind, but it is, to sit ten, but you know that, that's often we could, a couple of good signings coming in and that could help, but erm, I'm not going anywhere, I know he's no bit salty and it would help if he did, but I don't think it should be the only end of a climate at all, it's totally different with Michael Beal because Michael Beal erm, was he just, nobody was convinced, erm, I was in the convinced we were at all climate, it has been some signs of it with Beal erm, obviously many positives before that one, erm, climate has been a few and you can see the way the board's been, driving us out your eyebrows and no gain of the funds as you know, any other side you know, so I ain't going to be afraid to hold this one against climate unless, he's just no learning lessons, but you know that's the thing, but erm, I don't think Sunday should have that impact Durham. James, we've seen this before, we've seen it, especially back to Brendan Ward just first term, erm, I definitely believe there'll be an air of confidence in the Celtic camp and erm, you know, erm, the retaining champs in the league, you know, in front of the home fans, they'll be, they'll be wanting to go and put on a show, as, as they've said a few times, erm, they want to go and come on this style and really embarrass us as they, as they obviously want to do against sort of as the biggest rivals. I think as a, as a person who has never played football and, and definitely miles and miles and miles away from the level of importance as an old firm, we just need to be, the engineers players, the manager coaches, we need to be drilling into the boys, I mean it's, it's this is their house, we need to go and work our socks off, well I'm not going to get let them have it their way, because if we are willing to let them just dictate the game and, and be reactive and not proactive, then it could be one of these games where it could be over before 30 minutes, half time, if we get, if we get caught in the mind of let's no, let's no go and get embarrassed, then we could be in for a rough day, but if we're to go and say well, why not, have a go, let's see what we can do, it could be a different story. Yep, 100% may agree with you, erm, it's a hard run of course, they're going to be up for it mate, they're confident this is going to be sky high because of the, you know, the black hose, you know, I mean they're, the Real Madrid and Barcelona are Scotland, you know, maybe they can get the other one apparently, so erm, but as I said before mate, we need to just shut the players down, as I've said, I've said time, erm, again, on the board that if you're going to just sit off Cal and the Gregor and let them dictate play, then he's going to look a world-class player, he's going to pass the ball by you, I feel like these guys do it, for me I've always been saying a few folks saying when they put stealing on them, I would put the O'Mandy on them, because I think the O'Mandy's got their legs to just go and shut them down all day, I think, I think he's one of their players, I think they've done it in the 3-3 game, and my Gregor never done anything, my Gregor is a double-second, I think, erm, as a substitute, but come on, he put the O'Mandy on them, and he never done anything, so that for me I think that's a big thing, erm, I've said going when the midfield battle, you win the midfield battle against them, then you can start playing because you know for the first 15-20 minutes, they'll confine at the blocks, they'll be trying to get an early goal, they're trying to get the crowd going, if you can get that crowd then stamp and they turn against him, you're starting to create a quarter chance, he's hopefully maybe take one, that crowd will soon start to turn on them, because I'll tell you that they're one or two defeats away from the known Rogers, they don't forget, they were all, they all hated him, now he's back, erm, as a Lord, risen again, erm, he's the best thing since sliced bread, so if we can get in there mate and even get one goal up against him, we've got a great chance to get that place turning toxic against their players and it will happen, one or two defeats and they will then soon start to turn again and they'll be throwing sharks at their players again, erm, yeah I mean, erm, erm, it's er, Thursday night as the podcast is filmed live erm, three days Saturday and then a big day and Sunday, erm, I've not been hit with the old from nerves yet, David, I don't know if that's a good thing and a bad thing, erm, a couple of people have said that not feeling too disheartened and not feeling too much of the pregame nerves, I don't know if I've become in the sense of tags that I don't know, erm, but I think as far as the build up can go, we've done our bit, we've got through this and joins the game and then we've been most going to keep the gas on in the league and we did it in a relatively decent fashion. The same, er, er, the same build up, erm, I mean that's undoubted, there's obviously individuals that are banged up for it and you know, they'll probably buy a cargo and Friday and see it right through Sunday night, erm, you know what I mean, that's what I was going to have, er, I say it on musical style, blaring it, er, Friday midnight onward, erm, but er, er, I know you're right, I've noticed that as well, er, the discussions seem to be, er, it's not totally pessimistic but there's no optimism either, it's meant just er, well you know, all weekend days, turn up and, you know, do a best and go for it, erm, I think, I mean I think that can a stems not 100% but a party that comes for the players as well, erm, apart from last week we have saw performances that were, they were suggesting that one more erm, to put it mildly, er, a well-oiled machine erm, so I mean the players have now gave us much tissue out about until last week, but going into these games, they say forum goes out the window but you look at Clemonce record and rightly or wrongly, if we don't win on Sunday, it's going to be what's that five out of six, he's lost and drew one, or he might have drawn two by the time Sunday comes, I mean if he doesn't he get the one on Sunday, does, er, again as I say, whether it's fair or not, he's going to have that record hanging over him erm, and he's going to be scrutinised, erm, whether it's fair or not, as I say, as I don't know, but it's erm, it'll be hard but I mean the belief's got to start, you know, no when you step over the white line onto the pitch but the belief's got to start, you know, as of this started this week, you know the players need to be bang up for it, erm, excuse me, need to be willing to just get touring, stuck in, you know, fly and attack us if need be, do whatever it takes to win, improve to us, improve to the manager, prove to themselves, you know, that they can er, they can go out and fight a battle and you know, hopefully win it, erm, but yeah, erm, in terms of the build up, it's definitely muted erm, and that comes for the other side of the city as well, er, I don't associate very much of them online, I try no on social media, I try not even discuss much football erm, but for what I've seen they'll know exactly, you know, shouting for the rooftop seat also, it seems to be muted all around but yeah, certainly at any just point it's er, it's er, been quite oaky. Jack, I mean as David said there erm, it has to, it has to be erm, from the goal, it can't be er, the first wish was going in now where we realised we're in our game here, it needs to be, it has to be this week in trading actually, to be perfectly honest and I deal it needs to be a whole year round thing that, you know, the standards of this club, you know, how big the rivalry is and you know what, what a good result can mean to us and what a good result can mean to them as well erm, erm, and it surprises me erm, you know, I think it might be in yourself er, maybe last week, having Alex Ray and this er, coach and staff and having a guy out of him who knows everything there is to know about playing in these games, how much of that can you, can you lean on from your coaching staff? I mean, he's been there and done it, he should be one of these guys, I mean all er, you think of it in recent memory, these guys have played in those games and it can influence the mental mentality of the 11 that go into park and Sunday. I know what you're saying because when you've got Sunday a lot, as you say, it has been done, you think you would be able to, even been done it, just like experiencing a game, you know like in a first minute you get a saran, you need to be careful now because seeing a first minute, if you jump in me on my tackle, like Kyle Bartlett on years ago in Scott Brown V, I'd say then he absolutely, you need to be careful with that and I do see a lot of these videos and social media right for the start range as well, he's a fabulous unfortunately, we're all red kids now so, but there's nothing wrong with me, remember a couple of years ago Andy Holiday went a great good t-shirt against Wistig and it was just a heater and a half railing, but it got a whole stand up, you know, I know we've no good support there, but it can get the whole team going somewhere like that and I remember when it parked, you'd have got your round tent on a belt and a bit of skill or when you think it was Scott Brown as well, just sudden in the first couple of minutes, it doesn't need to be something, just you're in the game, you're up for it and you're showing them that there's been, I don't think every time you go to a park you think that's unfair but there has been a couple in the last few years where they have just came out in the first 10, 15 minutes and we'll probably touch the ball and that was more than twice that happened on the geo, but there was always that worry that scar tissue that could tuck my special, the atmosphere that we have, I just don't have any fans, it doesn't help that scene, but that's not the day we're, we're how the game will go, but it's just, they'll be bang up for it and we need to deal with it better. I think on a balance, you're the main man in the middle of the park for us, I think he can, uh, dictate play, I think he's obviously come in any short time, I think obviously he said just around it, it was, um, Alex, if he's been here for about four or five years already, um, so for me I think he's a very, very important player for us, just control our perimeter, middle of the park, every time I can ask you know, for Aberdeen, especially against us, he never seem to lose his, uh, head, um, he just seemed to be quite cool, um, getting for tackles, he always won, he always won his battles, so I think that's, that's gonna be a big thing for a moment, um, and I just hope that we'll be able to go there and put, put on a good result and then get away by one nothing victory, and I'm gonna go for a half an year go because I've seen the peltas that the boys been getting tonight, somebody keeps saying that, to have a year keeps kicking the bed, name another player that's, that's stepped up no firm games and scored, scored goals to try and get his back into these games, does name the else, the guy scored med goals in some of your strikers against Celtic, so I think it will get bigger problems in which James to have in years day now. Um, I think goals wise, dessals, um, effectiveness wise, uh, barring, um, pretty much echoing what James said, um, I think barring looks fearless, looks like a player that's weirder than what he actually is, looks like he's been here a lot longer, which is why I can totally forgive your, uh, oversight of him earlier. Um, so yeah, um, I think barring will be effective in the middle, paring strings, doing, you know, doing things, uh, to put it tactically, uh, and dessals will be responsible for, uh, any goals to score.
