Morning news for Thursday the 29th of August, 2024. It is transfer deadline day minus two. We're getting that next week of on time. My name's Colin and here they talk through all the way to strangers, news and animals. First of all, I've got Jack. How are you, my man? Good to meet you. Looking forward to getting in at us this morning with yourself. I'm good to meet. I'm good. I don't know if I mentioned the other day that I'm on a three day week. This week had Monday and Tuesday off, so my saying day I'm walking, it's nearly a weekend, it's bliss. Ah, that's a good one, you can't even beat that, you can. I know so I cannot complain. David is also joining us, how are you, mate? Not bad, my man, not bad at all. I have three day weeks where it's at here. I think I might try one of them next week. [LAUGH] I know, there should be more, as far as I know. Three day week, what between the one and two, and then I think the country would be a much nice office, so. Indeed. Yes. If I were getting the office focused, that's what you would get. And just to show you what's happening on the point, because I've noticed for the YouTube listeners, I have the silanquial oil tagline underneath there, my name. We were recording the EPL podcast last night, that'll be about tomorrow morning. Last night, two days ago, the two days we've done the old form preview, and the first one form preview of the week. And of course, we'll be back with the live stream tonight. So plenty of content already being there and coming your way. So make sure you give us a like, subscribe, follow, share, read, tweet, whatever you need to do, and whatever platform you're getting at. So quite a lot happening yesterday. Gents some stories of potential ongoing, and some stories of potential incoming zone. Let's start with the one that we, we touched on yesterday with Todd Kanwell, be yesterday Todd Kanwell was remotty halve, and test from black. Some rovers, guys, news were reporting last night, that a fee has been agreed between black bump and rangers, and snow down to play out to agree personal terms. Jack, him, I'm hoping after having never said yesterday that Todd Kanwell wouldn't be too difficult on this move. No, I don't think he would be, he would think that he was white until even rather. But we have absolutely wall-balled the guy, I mean, his numbers are decent since he's came in. He's never actually played that bad, those games, he might have played better. But I called us at a time saying, look, see if we went to leave, we need to go a bit a bit better. So if we were getting less than a million pound for a guy, it's came in, and actually is contributing to his, this is, I think this is really bad. I don't know, you know, is it just better than you? I understand some people just want his wage out of the door. But this transfer fee is embarrassing. As far as I'm concerned, we have totally walled ourselves. Look at, you know, I know it's a difficult memory, you know, but look at that, Adam, he did himself and he was white to leave. He behaved a whole lot worse than he ever ended up with 10 million. And we'd end up with buttons here. As I said, I didn't like the way we went about it to start with. You know, if some people, when the place is white, I'll even know some people, I just get them out, but you still need to get something back for them. And we'd better have played them, in my opinion, and get a cut of those of them to get something better than this, because this is not what we're doing. It's probably better the guy leaves now for Ibony's sake, but the money reported or even alone, I don't see what that really comes in handy as terrible, in my opinion. David, the, the remote fee that I've seen is between 5 and 1/6 on my grand. Again, how much, how much to reference to that? I don't know, but I'm kind of a jag where if it was 600 grand, I wouldn't be surprised with the way we went a bit of business. And I think we need to remember this. And, and, and the years ahead, don't have your dirty laundry. And because people won't pay premium places for you, don't want to do it. It's very true, it's, the fee, there's no two ways about it. The fee is passport. I would say it's quite embarrassing. It's alright saying, you know, wage bill is getting removed. Aye, that's a good point. But at the same time, I would like to think that we could come and move in 600 grand. Maybe there's a large selling clause, maybe there's a large promotion clause. But, so it, 600 grand is, it's poor. And only thing I would say is I'm not sure we can put him in the short window, because I'm not sure if he's willing to actually play. I'm getting the feeling that he's actually down tools or the giver. I know that he's not willing to play for the beating fair enough, but I don't know if the manager of this typical, maybe even, he would even be interested. So, I think we're perhaps between our open and hard place. But at the same time, even if we are, and even if he is classed as a problem player, we should still be asking for more than 600 grand for him. It's mental on shy sports, on shy sports, the year's ago, something to share the crap into it. And there was a conversation shy sports, three years ago, I thought, can we all potentially move in to ask the bellow in between 14 million pounds? How the mighty are falling with us, man, eh? That's crazy, absolutely crazy. I mean, it was, like, when it was coming in, you know, obviously you're like, he's kind of history and highlights and stuff. I mean, there was undoubted talent there. But he's now, he's now, you know, he's now classed as a problem player. He said he wants to leave Scotland, no, just the Rangers. Apparently the manager said that his problem is with Scotland and not with a club. But if that's the case, then why is he being such a, a wee tager, basically. But yeah, it's, I do, I do exercise with a club for the feeder asking if it's true and if it's accurate. But at the same time, I think they have kind of had their hand forced by the player himself. Because he, yeah, it just, they seem very well liked either. Usually players, he's fellow players would come out and back the player, or whatever. But it seems to be very much our own voice. So, I mean, I'll be happy if he just leaves, but the fee will leave a sever taste if it's accurate. I think we could have done a bit of PR here. I mean, you could have said this, I believe it's coming in. Please mid-field, there's a goal contribution, one every three. What is it, one every two and a half games, or the goal contribution? For a mid-field, it doesn't start every game, there's one at trophy. No, I know people would say it's only one trophy, but a bit of PR or a bit of salesman where they go to something for us. I know people have got their feelings and can't wear, but we have no cover to our sailing glory in this one at all. We have, even by the claiming announced, can't wear with us till he's after a Birmingham friendly, where we'd been embarrassed off of a Sky Bay League one team that he would come across where we were at. I thought it was a total deflection of how bad we were that night. I know it was only a friendly, but he should be a wasn't it, a Birmingham at all. So, the whole hang's been a shambles for me. If he wants to leave, I get that, that's fine. But then, if it's so, okay, sir, well, it's just Scotland, he wants to leave me. I said this, and I don't remember throwing at the team and, like, hatred and whatever, you know what I mean? This is, well, if it's a homesick thing, then surely we could have dealt with this better. It kind of seems to me about the thing we keep on saying when we can, and I hate comparing ourselves to Celtic, but when you look at how we did it, it turns out the business said, oh, wait, years ahead of us. I mean, they'll consistently get, you know, half decent money for players that they don't want. I mean, even just off the top of my head, Jack Henry, that they want him to go up to an half, 3 million per five. I mean, third-camera, the sample was an onto that, but third-camera was a twice a player. Jack Henry has it in terms of talent and ability. And they consistently get half decent fee for either the players that don't want to pick fees for the best players. And, you know, that, oh, that's not what we probably say is we'll be in a little bit. I'll share my suggestions before we come and say, this is just a small piece of the bigger picture where we don't do well enough in this answer when we don't either. I'm coming out outgoing. So if we are maybe, if I say, you know, NASA, well, but what's not apologies, but it's built as a contest behind it. I'm either, I need a nice solid in this one, surprise me, because I thought that all the attention I've removed would have been done and dusted after has mastered quite since Saturday. But apparently, the ranges have rejected a loan offer for grabbing metondyl from Norwich City. They will come to you first, and that's why, and obviously, we had the Remodern first with the weights which are native, which I don't really think was ever like a war. Norwich City, I could see. So I'm still surprised, I know a first few men for a mum's surprise, but rejected that. That must mean he's in performance plans. Yeah, it's either that or we just want a clean break in want money for them. You know, maybe we're not interested in our own, but we'll still listen to a concrete offer. It's interesting that it's Norwich because we are apparently after their winner, who's shown a bit of unrest and, you know, they want one-year-olds. So I don't know if something will transpire with that and the two will kind of link. But at the moment, I would really like any tell if metondyls deemed as too important now, or if we just want money for them. We're not interested in our own deal. So that remains to be seen until, you know, until the business is closed. But if he stays, I would never tell bothered. He has to become consistent. Well, I speak obviously, he was brilliant, but, you know, I could go back to Sunday and become, you know, an empty jersey. I know Ringelzer is a species or an inconsistent sometimes. But yeah, either he's going to go into this game in Sunday for our confidence because his future's sorted. He knows where he's playing or we're not going to have him. But I don't think we're interested in putting him on own. If money's awful, then yeah, I think we'll be willing to do a business. But if he stays, as I say, just to be a state, honestly, it's not something I've been complain about. Jack, what's your take on it? I can start a window. I would have said, "We're not going to have a window and don't get there." I still think we need another window. I don't know. Even if we keep having a window, I still think we need another window. So I don't know if it's about waiting there. The chance of a window would be moving him on when it could be an option for the squad. I think we do put a lot of focus on his wages to tear whatever opinion. But just in the bottom there is something that I can contribute. I can contribute now. As David said, we already didn't. We all know he's not the most consistent at contributing. But you will get some games here and there where he does a good job. I've never thought he's a bad player. I mean, sometimes he's first touch is horrific. But I don't know if that's just the kind of modern day when you're going to get inconsistencies like that. I don't really know what the benefit for us to put in on it alone. If you're going to get rid of my job, just sell them and get money in. I would rather have his services available than having been on loan. Because I guarantee you see if we put him at loan and he's down to anything in the knowledge. Every of the medical loan I can assign. I'm like, we can be done. We can be done. We can be done. We can be done. And see when he's your loan player at his first treatment. Somebody's out playing well elsewhere. Yeah. We can be done with him. So if he's selling and he's done well. Fair enough facts about this as you make. But I'd much rather keep on putting him at loan. And I don't really see the benefit to that. I know some people say about the region that I would just rather. If you're going to get rid of him, get rid of him properly. Because then what happens is he comes back in a year. And he's at the picture. And he's only at your left. He's doing, he's going to go for it. God can't wear money if you're lucky. You know what I mean? That's what we call it. God wear money. The can't wear effect. No, it's a good point you'd both make about having a clean date. Because we are all not far away. We don't know the such area. That's still an imagined knowledge. We'd have the money to pay most of these wages. But it makes there'll be, it makes there'll be some portion out of the ranges up in. And a clean break as best real part is because it won't deal range up in all the way there and plan for the next season. Whereas a clean break and a permanent move that can plan and bring something and pay them away in long term. So it makes sense. But I don't see him moving on. This one goes from being honest, actually. There's a chance he'll start on Sunday. So I don't see him moving on. Jack, we'll stick with you for the first outcome in terms of our remote that we'll come here today. I quite agree there. Okay, that's one. The Rangers are reported to face several arrests that are interested in netting a dramatic. So the news was first broken by Albanian, a sports mania. So, the dramatic he is in Albanian and an absolutely wilder. This doesn't mean a member for his role against that away. Twenty-three settings in the game in the Euros. And he also scored a delta against Czech Republic, the same game that back half-channelists wrote for Czech Republic. So he has... Good taste is easy to spot, but hard to pin down. You know it when you see it. And in today's culture, there's no greater signifier of taste than the car you drive. You want something sophisticated, but not stodgy. Daring it yet, classic. Approachable, but with an air of opulence. That's where the Range Rover Evoke comes in. The reductive exterior is an elegant expression of Range Rover DNA and the chiseled taillight graphics give the evoke a sense of motion even at standstill. Explore the Range Rover Evoke at LandRoverUSA.com. My dad works in B2B marketing. He came by my school for career day and said he was a big row as man. He apparently ranges on looking to get awarded by him for the mid-field, his entire mid-field. They've just been relegated to CRB. I think those causes and he's gone to which means he'll be able to move after the offer is agreed between props. So, Rangers need an attack in mid-fielder. We have an experience attacking mid-fielder here who's played in Italy and split Solendi's win then on Arsenal stage. I like the look of this boy. Hi, when I've seen him, we were linked to him. I was quite amazed that because when I'd seen him at the Euros, I thought he looked at a player. See that goes quite a few seconds in. They were just writing about it. It was clinical. There was no risk to start a game. It just looked like a quality goal right away. The other game he's checked the public. He was good as well, actually two games I've seen him playing in. It was a game against Spain. I know because Spain were not good in that game. I don't know how that against him. But seeing him relegated into CRB, I wonder if it was that. If you've got one of the things where you have freedom to move. If it's a game, quite comfortably. I wonder if his offers are low end yet. Lane, whatever, but he's my bestie. He's running trophies in charge and you're up in that. Better coming to yours. See if he's available. We'll just get that done right away because I don't hinge. He'll be on the team looking at that. So I'd be writing about that. I'd be all over it right away. You don't normally get established kind of quality players at this playing at a good level. Link to his proven one. So I'd be wrong for it right away. David, we've stayed time and time again on this board that we need a bit of experience in midfield. He's not quite the veteran head, but he's got about 250 top fight games. I grew up set away in Switzerland. He probably is most of a successful spell game for him. Empily, where he got on on 30 or games. 22 rules, 22 assists in that time. I think when you look at the midfield options, we have pretty much rest. No, all of those on. Staring, barreling, and your Mandy, who are like the Ghandys or like 15 between them. But I think it brings you talk about his experience. Yeah, he's done it in Serie A. No Serie B, but he's done it in Serie A. Switzerland and his national team on the big stage at the Euros. He's proven that he can score against big teams. He might not have played in the upper echeons of Serie A. I mean, he's always probably been in that bottom half in New Relegated. But the experiences he's got, his stats are also far away. Are pretty good. It's not a week where you attack wholeheartedly and just run our mark. So his figures are good for the clubs he's been at. The status of the clubs he's been at and how he's been playing. I think this is a no brainer. I have absolutely zero negatives about it. And if anybody does, I would suggest they get a little bit. I mean, because it's exactly the type of thing we should be looking at. We're insisting on going, we're an attack midfielder when we don't have one. So he would plug that whole and he would make a contribution from the off. He's got time on his side. I think he's not a veteran, but he's still experienced. And it would be the perfect sign-in for us. I think it's lonely by, I would prefer if it was just by. But if the obligation is to by, then I'd be happy with that because I've got absolutely no doubts that come into the season. We'll look back and say that he's made an impact. I think we've got to see more and more of these lonely by these obligations. I'll choose for things as well, because you're a financial fairway real crossing. But we're seeing every club uses this lonely by option, just to start the payment. So I think that's going to be the norm in the coming years, but not with you. I really like the idea of him. He's a perfect mix of youth and experience. And he's done at a decent level. And nobody enough for me if the money's right. I was like for you David for the last story of today. It's probably made itself a little bit more of a discharge. I don't think it's quite as clear-cut. But Rangers are reportedly working at moving for a half-in-himes send-a-back standpoint. And it's okay. So this was reported in France that we've opened up. It's a young man who talks with the German side. He's a 25-year-old who's under contact until 2027. And in the saucy, he did play on the trimon at club luge. And he was part of the team that won the league win in 2022. And he's since moved. And he's since moved a half-in-hime. Good pedigree. And then actually he's played for side of PSG. Then he moved to Nice before moving the blue. It's a good age as well. He's a 25-year-old. A good experience. The only issue David has is the age-old issue where Angels is under the record. He missed 13 games last season through Angelique. He's three separate injuries. He missed eight games this season before through different injuries. I think we should avoid it. Of course, regardless how good the town is. Yeah. It's just when you got a mention on there. The first thing I thought of was that I clocked. Excuse me. I clocked his injury record. It would be a very rangel sign, I guess. But when he said care for you. It's the type of player we need in terms of, you know, where he plays, you know, where he's experienced. On paper, he's the perfect sign-in. If he had no injury record, but that does jump out at you. He's three separate injuries for 13 games. I mean, it does suggest it's small minor injuries. But I think throughout his career, he has had some of our spells out the game. I mean, Clement knows him, obviously. So it does kind of make sense that he's going for a player that he can do. I mean, for a player that he thinks he can trust. But I don't know. I mean, for all, it might be good. Own the ball and defense, whatever. You know, is he going to be able to do it consistently? Or is he, you know, is he going to be handing in a sick line every couple of weeks? Um, I think I said carefully, I think is the word that I would use as well. Um, I'm not totally against it. Like as you say yourself, like a void of all costs. But I would make sure that his medical was a bit more vigorous than usual. Put it out there. Um, I think it would be a good thing. And as I say, I don't, I don't doubt his ability, but has, um, has ability to remain on injured as it does give you a fit for thought. Um, shall we say? So, yeah. Um, I'll, I'll, uh, I'll exercise caution on it. Shall we say, but I'm not dead against it. Do you have any things that? Jack, we're good to get your firstness. The reason I'm dead against it is I, I think that there's a, a place for players who have maybe a question mark over, um, not, not injury. And not, that injury has to be in, you know, ability to remain fit for a full season. I've been swore to keep the Medicare one or two of the players, but I would get us forward and there's too many question marks, but that way in the center, in defense, we've got William bargain, who, you know, he's best. He'll probably play three games a week consistently. We've worked on two or who has had these energetic problems in the fastest dollar question mark. So it really, it waves you. Robin Propa is a reliable center half who, finally went off as a, was injured for the last game. Um, if we did have more reliable center halves, I find okay. We can maybe take the gamble. I, I don't think we can personally, but I might just be, be a bit, I don't know. I'd be a wee bit of scarred facing way on getting a James sounds against Ajax. That's it. I think I get what you're coming for. There's also the, being just scar tissue in a, and do these be a friend in these areas. You need to think, right? So that's a guy where obviously he's a good player. He looks good in paper. Why is he getting linked to him in Scotland? It's just that he just finds something good as well. Uh, I'd say Halanda would never have been anyone near Scotland. There was also a reason he came here at line came here as, um, a few years before it. So it seems in the creation of National Fraterino, someone of it. Uh, you're, that guy came to Scotland, you're like, why is he coming? And you're not a team. Is this just another one? I know it normally states that he just won't mention his, but when they're coming to their leagues to Scotland, there was a reason for it. Um, our name is a priority. We've probably been awful to see out because we're this guy. Or if it was, I think it happened because when they come out to their leagues, I've always got to say on 25, 26, why you come out to your leagues now? Unlike there, I'll be anybody we're talking about before. He's been relegated and he's played 100 games there. This guy's no, like, I just, I don't know. Um, but he's also a good player, but it's a big risk. And I mean, it's no, I won't go. I know he's positive on there, but you've a nurse starting to say, Halanda, Ruth, Jack, who at the same time, you would have guys in the same category of injury prone and we've got a clean break for that. So hopeful. I mean, forward, I've tried noticing guys that have got a history of injury prone, but if you're going to get guys that are at league at a good level, that was a reason for it. And that might be the risk you take. I think when you've got a set of scores, you can maybe add one on, take a gamble and one on two of these scores because we all, we all moan about came out of Ruth and it's a little bit random, but that first season for both of them, they, they add equality is destroyed a bit than they have. So that, that gamble paid off that first season when we went in one week, came out of the field, wasn't it over? We lied. We had an informal thread on the rails. We had guys who said to gain, right? Can't do it. But for, for the defense, for the program, we unbowed him. It was very, very reliable. Uh, we, we had corona goals in the field, as an absolute juggernaut. So, we could carry the, the risk and it paid off. So it does sometimes pay off. I think it's, I, I, I think as a gamble you take, where you've got a more set of fraud. In terms of the difference between them and the Jeremy as well, the Jeremy's wrote over two hundred and fifty games in top, right? Top, right? And it's okay. I'm just working at transfer. Marked here. So maybe a bit 120 and above the same age. It's a big, big difference. It's a big, big difference in terms of experience. He's not quite the experience head that will be added. Thank you. So it'll be a bit more raw than we'd like for a 25-year-old ten-and-a-half. There they'll bring you in. I don't know if you've got Jack on your go. I was just saying, see the ability. He's got as well undoubted ability. He'd probably be able to send a hoof as soon as he arrives at training. He's still at over. Gonna need to play this guy over the game unfortunately. So we'll have no scores with it. We'll hand on Ruth to just bring him in and out. The only thing I can say on these defense is that apparently it's not just rangers that won them. I think those clubs in France, still in Germany, and possibly, I think they said there was an Italian club looking at them. I think rangers are kind of made the first move. Apparently, you know, it ended in talks. But it's not just us that won them. So, I mean, other clubs see something and I'm rather than us just, you know, it's not just us signing some day because the manager knows them. So, I mean, I don't seem to be competition there. So, some day else does see something on them. It has struggled to hold down places for the past couple of years. That's undoubted both through selection and the fourth through injury. So, yeah, it's not something I would say. I'm buzzing a bit, but I'm definitely not. I'm definitely not like, you know, totally, you know, just thinking on or stay away. That's, that'll be a, that'll be a, a bomb scare. So, it remains to be seen anyway, because I don't think there's anything concrete. I think it's just a natural approach, et cetera. So, we've got nearly two days, two full days. So, a lot can happen. I think that's a good place to finish up for today. So, obviously, if anything, every Saturday, we'll have the live stream tonight to run through any, any big, but they can use stories. But, show me to the last ones again. Thank you very much for watching. Let us know what you think in the comments of these stories and give some of your likes subscribe for, whether you get your forecasts. Also, I'd like to do is a massive thank you and my two guests, first of all, Jack, all the pleasure spent day in these, these dull moments. Thanks very much. I'm glad I'm writing your day up a bit. Thanks everybody. And maybe I need to go and lay on a couple of new names. But it sounds great. These guys, we're getting linked and probably get linked to be very into the day.
