[music] Welcome to the seed pod mini, where we review our story about Zacchaeus finds a friend, our songs, and our memory verse. Dear Jesus, thank you so much that we can be your friend. Help us to listen, to learn, and to grow in love. In Jesus' name, amen. The Bible tells us a story about a little man named Zacchaeus. He didn't have any friends, because he was a tax collector. He not only collected money for the Romans, but he stole money, and nobody likes a cheater. But one day, Zacchaeus heard of Jesus, and his whole life changed. Let's sing Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a wee little man, a wee little man was he. He climbed up in a sicklemore tree, for the Lord he wanted to see, and as the Savior passed that way, he looked up in the tree, and he said, " Zacchaeus, you come down, for I'm going to your house today, for I'm going to your house today." What did Zacchaeus do when he couldn't see Jesus, because he was too short? That's right. He said he climbed a tree, that's right, because he wanted to see who? Jesus. Let's sing it again. Zacchaeus was a wee little man, a wee little man was he. He climbed up in a sicklemore tree, for the Lord he wanted to see, and as the Savior passed that way, he looked up in the tree, and he said, " Zacchaeus, you come down, for I'm going to your house today, for I'm going to your house today." There's lots of animals who hurry, hurry around, and they climb trees. I bet they climb a lot faster than Zacchaeus. One of those animals is called a squirrel. Let's sing about it, "Hurry, hurry." Hurry, hurry, little furries for him, scurry, scary, little furries for him, get on the night as you jump and run and roll, hurry, hurry, scurry, little furries for him, hurry little furries for him, scurry, scurry, little furries for him, get on the night as you jump and run and roll, hurry, hurry, hurry, scurry, little furries for him. What are the squirrels doing when they're running all around? How many times they're gathering nuts, Jesus made them fall from the trees and they gather them so that they have food for the winter. Can you sing this song with us this time? "Hurry, hurry, little furries for him, scurry, scary, little furries for him, get on the night as you jump and run and roll, hurry, hurry, scurry, little furries for him, scurry, little furries for him, scurry, scurry, little furries for him, get on the night as you jump and run and roll, hurry, hurry, scurry, scurry, little furries for him, it's memory verse time." Our memory verse this week is John 8, 29, "I do always those things which please him." Before Zacchaeus met Jesus, did he always do the things that please Jesus? Oh no he didn't, he stole, he cheated, but when he met Jesus, he tried his best to always do those things that please him, let's say it together, "I do always those things which please him." John 8, 29, nice job, now let's learn it in a scripture song. I do always those things that please him, please him, please him, I do always those things that please him, John 8, 29, I do always those things that please him, please him, please him, I do always those things that please him, John 8, 29. Dear Jesus, we want to be your friend. Sometimes we've done things that are not so nice and not honest, but we pray that you'll help us to change and to be more like you in Jesus' Name, amen.
