Tua Tagovailoa was knocked out of the game with his multiple career concussion, the Bills defense scored 24 points off Miami turnovers and a turnover on downs, and the Bills beat Miami for the 12th time in their last 13 meetings in this AFC East rivalry.

The Bills scored 17 points off those turnovers, and seven more after Tua was sacked on a 4th down play in his own territory in the second quarter.

Tagovailoa finished 17-25 for 145 yards, and one touchdown. It was his third career game with three interceptions.

Tua was forced out of the game with in the third quarter. The Miami QB had just run for yards to pick up a first down, when he lowered his head into the Bills Damar Hamlin.

De'Von Achane had a big game for Miami. With Raheem Mostert out- and two starting offensive linemen knocked out of the game- Achane carried the load for Miami.

The second-year burner from Texas A&M ran for 96 yards on 22 carries, caught seven balls for 69 yards, and scored the Dolphins' only touchdown of the night.

The Bills held Miami's star wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle to three catches for 24 yards and four for 41, respectively.

Ironically, the Dolphins offense looked incredible on their one scoring drive, the second time they had the football. Tua was crisp, they got Hill and Waddle involved, and Achane was brilliant. They scored easily, but never looked anywhere near that good again.

Josh Allen played a very efficient game for Buffalo, going 13-19 for 139 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Bills RB James Cook scored three first-half touchdowns, including a 49-yarder one play after the Dolphins turned it over.

Allen is 12-2 vs Miami in his career. Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott is 14-2.

The Bills were without several starters, including many of their best defensive players. They have all-new receivers and safeties this year too. New team, same result.

What is up, Finns fans? Welcome to your Lockdawn Dolphins postcast on the Lockdawn podcast network. Your team, my name is Jim Grisobber, call me @greece_ as you can see on social media, and that might be as positive as we get tonight on this show, Lockdawn Dolphins postcast as every Dolphin fans nightmare at the start of this season, all through the off season. If you're listening to the radio stations, the talk, everything on the podcast, what's going to happen when a team hits us in the mouth? What's our offensive line going to do when those weapons are neutralized on the outside and that pass rush is fierce in those defensive linemen dominating up front? That was the concern of every Dolphin fan coming into the season that the offensive line would not hold up against the best defensive lines in the league and would not allow those weapons to do what they do. Tyree kill Jalen Waddle and all those guys, right? And yeah, all those weapons don't mean anything. If you don't have time to throw the football, those interceptions were not to his fault. And whatever it is, I mean, it is his fault that he ran and it's hard to fault a football player running full speed like that. Head first, when you already had the first down, you've got to have the presence of mind to slide there. You're going to die on an NFL field at some point. If you keep that up, thank you very much for making Lockdawn Dolphins postcast. Your first listen, first watch today. We're free, available wherever you get your podcast and on YouTube, Lockdawn Sports Miami, go to the Lockdawn Podcast Network, your team every day. And of course, I'm here after every single Dolphins game all year long with your Lockdawn Dolphins postcast. We're separate from Lockdawn Dolphins. Same on the podcast channel, but separate with the YouTube and just giving you more options and more coverage right after the game. We're coming on here live and of course you can hear Kyle every day with Lockdawn Dolphins. Same with Alex Donnell, Lockdawn Keynes, and we will have the Keynes on Saturday against Paul State, Alex and I are going to shoot something tomorrow morning, little cross promo for that show. Alex, a great teammate. We do a lot of things together. We used to work together at 790 to ticket to back in the day. All right. Tonight's episode, crossover Thursday presented by prize picks, go to prize picks dot com slash Lockdawn NFL and use code all lowercase, Lockdawn NFL to win $50 instantly when you play five crossover Thursday on prize picks. Do every day or thanks for being here, new people welcome. And this is a new thing here with Lockdawn. We have the postcast going, been doing the Marlins all year in baseball purgatory. And we'll be doing that one tonight after this show. So you'll get your Lockdawn Marlins, Lockdawn Keynes, the postcast, right? So you get Kyle, you get Alex, you get Peter, then you get me. We're all on the same podcast channel with the audio versions, but the video separate YouTube over here with the postcast on Lockdawn Sports Miami. And that says it all right there. Things lose big to out. This night cannot have gone worse. We talked about the nightmare coming into the season of every dolphin fan. Everybody I know calling me talking to me, Hey, Greece, what's going to happen with this offensive line? What are they going to do? Are we going to be able to see these weapons get out in the open field and make big plays? And so far even, you know, I mean, look, the Jacksonville game in the first half was not good at all either, right? And you have been dominated now up front by two consecutive teams. You didn't even the first time they had to lead against the Jags was the game winning field goal. And tonight it was a disaster from the beginning to a rushed into throws and receptions. And ultimately everybody in that stadium and beyond's nightmare to a Tangle by Loa laying on the turf prone down on the ground, not able to move with a concussion. And he gets up, he walks off under his own power, he goes to the locker room. That's the worst nightmare. One game in September, not the end of the world, especially, I mean, look, it's at home. You want to win. You have the humidity. They're coming from Buffalo. No excuse to get man handled and dominated up front like that. That was awful. We'll address that momentarily, but the nightmare of this game, and we don't know anything yet. We're going to keep looking throughout the show. The nightmare with this game is to a getting hurt, man. To a getting hurt. And now, you know, Buffalo's won 12 of the last 13 against Miami. Josh Allen doesn't know how to lose against Miami. It's starting to feel like those merino years with the Jim Kelly bills when the dolphins just couldn't beat them, no matter what, then flutey came in and they, yo, man, absolutely crazy with the dolphins right now. This nightmare come true when you're looking at the things that happen with this game tonight, and we're going to break it down right here on the postcast. I mean, it's pretty, pretty obvious and blatant right there when you look at it, right? Three interceptions for Toa, the pick six, they didn't convert on a fourth down. So between those three picks and the non-conversion on fourth down, the Miami dolphins, yeah, the Miami dolphins were scored upon to the tune of 24 points. So 17 points off the turnovers, right? 24 when you include the turnover on downs. Who in the heck's going to win a game with that? Right? And Skyler Thompson hadn't played a game in two years. We're going to look at some bright spots a little bit later, and you know, but this game was awful. And there's one thing you have to remember about football. We can talk all we want about Tyree Kill. We can talk all we, and Amazon, milk the arrest, I mean, come on, give me a break. What is this? Court TV? They milked it all. They just stop it. Stop. I mean, just report on it. Talk about it in the pregame. And then, I mean, how many features do we have to see the Metro, dad, Miami, just come on. All right. So here's the thing. I don't care how many times you talk about Tyree Kill or Jalen Waddle. Barrios did nothing. I mean, is he ever going to return a punt? They're going to let him. These fair catches everything. I mean, what happened to the return game here, right? Here's the third receiver. OBJ's got two more games on the shelf, right? No third receiver, no option there. Toa couldn't even take a fourth step tonight. Every time he hit that fourth or fifth step, he got hit. And I thought for sure like it was a dangerous game for Toa where he might get crushed again and get another concussion. And then what does he do? The dumbest thing you could ever possibly do. As a football player, it's commendable. As a quarterback in this league, you got to be smarter than that, bro. You're reckless when you're out there running. You're putting your whole team season in jeopardy. You're putting your career, your health, your family on the line. A Demar Hamlin, ironically, the guy who hit him, and you know his story. But for Toa to do that in that moment, it's a football play, he's a competitor, his team needs to be fired up. He's thinking, hey, I lower my shoulder. I hit this guy. I know the thought process. I've been there, but $235 million and Super Bowl aspirations. And possibly career on the line. You cannot do that. What if his career is over right now because he did that? It's a possibility. And I know he's coached, and you could see Mike McDaniel's face, man, and you have to have sympathy and empathy for Toa in his position. What would we have done? We would want to have done what he did. And that's the crappy part for Toa Tango Valoa. That's what a leader does. That's what a great teammate does. That's what a great QB does. That's what a great football player does. But it's not what a smart franchise quarterback does. And that matters more than all those other things. And in the heat of the moment, gladiators on the field, in the national football league, winning on the line, and all he's done is win. All he knows how to do is win. Don't give me any other crap otherwise. That's what you do when you want to win. And I believe that about Toa. He's a competitor first, a football player second. Well, really, he's a man of God first and everything. You know what I'm saying? When Toa did that, every single fan holding your breath, I wonder what your thoughts are. Throw it in the chat. Let me know what you think. What do you think? Yeah, Douglas, we'll get two in the morning. So people are talking in the chat about being there at two in the morning and watching the game overseas. Obviously, you have a worldwide audience and wherever you're watching, we love the every day or two. Reminder, we're here after every game and locked on dolphins every day with Kyle. Two separate shows, two separate forms of content, and we just believe it makes us better. And with Alex, with locked on canes and myself and the postcast, we got that triangle. Say it's the rock in here. But the last thing you can do is not take it to slide in that position because then you get hit. Obviously, it's penalty on the defense, but the dolphins were not smart tonight. They committed stupid penalties. But football is a game. And this is what I was saying. And I'll wrap the segment with this, right? The game is one up front. You see offensive line? Yeah. In quotes. You put it on them, it might be a little unfair, but you're a national football league player just like they are. You put on your socks one at a time. You strap that helmet up one at a time. Just like they do. And the dolphins offensive line did not belong on the field with the bills defensive front tonight. They got schooled. They got work. They got thrown all over the place. They got to have killed and they somehow he was going to survive and then he gets himself killed in the open field. So we have a lot more to unpack from this game. I used to do the dolphins post game show on radio years ago on the network and we used to call it dolphins crying towel, Defo, Jeff the forest and myself because it was really bad. It was the feed their Lucas years. We're nowhere near those now, but we're not at those Super Bowl level years either. And we thought coming in, maybe this is a Super Bowl team, but everybody right now is one and holding our breath is to out the Seahawks games and what 10 days on the 22nd. So we shall see, but man, oh man, you're holding your breath right now, wondering how long we'll leave you out for member 2022 back to back weeks with concussions. They're not going to take that chance again. I doubt he plays in Seattle. Who knows when to will see the field again. So you took a horrible game to the bad to worst horrible and you made it a disaster. You are watching lockdown dolphins post cast to a could not have played worse tonight or the results couldn't have been worse. We'll say that. He was running for his life. He didn't have anywhere to go all night long and I want to talk about one drive in particular in the second quarter though, because I don't or in the first quarter, excuse me, the second drive of the game from Miami. I want to talk about that on the other side because they looked unbelievable. What happened? Where did that go? We're going to unpack that and break it down. So much more coming your way, locked on dolphins post cast on the locked on podcast network. Your team every single day. And I'm really excited to tell you about DoorDash right now right now. On the Lockdown Podcast Network, your team, every day, it's the Finns. Oh, baby, the Finns with a bad one tonight. They laid an egg. But I'll say this. I talk about it all the time. I'm going to reiterate this. Football is one up front. I've played for years. I've covered it for 30 years. Football is one up front. I don't care who your quarterback is. I don't care who your receivers are or care who your running back is, as good as Devon. Oh, good Lord. H-N was good tonight, man. H-N was real with most of it out. H-N was really good. We're going to talk about him. Not a lot of positives on this night. He was one of them. Look, Tua was not that off with his throws. The first pick right in the bread basket bounced off. The coverage was on lock. The throw got rushed a little bit. The second one, new receiver signed less than a month ago, two weeks ago, really less than two weeks ago. I think exactly two weeks ago, actually, today, and he stopped short on the route and Tua overthrows it. Your quarterback looks bad. That's not Tua's fault. I don't think either pick was really his fault. The first two, the third one was horrible. The third one was a terrible throw. He knows it. He always knows that. Any quarterback knows that. He just didn't have the arm strength to get it out of bounds. Josh Allen gets it out of bounds. Tua is not an arm strength quarterback. He's a precision guy. He's a timing guy, very smart guy. He's a winner, but he does not have the arm strength. They tried so hard to throw that ball out of bounds. It just didn't make it. I'm not making excuses for him. Horrible to get a pick six on that play, but on a night when everything went wrong, on a night when the Dolphins could do no right, on a night when two offensive starters on the line were out and they're dropping like flies. Their defense didn't show up like it should have, Ramsey on a blitz misses an easy tackle on a run play. They give up a 49 yard touchdown run. So let's not leave the defense exempt here, although they had a short field most of the night. They, of course, with the three turnovers and the turnover on downs, how do points on turnovers do not have points off turnovers? It doesn't count turnovers on downs. It's only interceptions and fumbles. It should count turnovers on downs. That's a turnover too. It should count your turn in the ball over and on a sack like that too, to take that side. They, they didn't have a chance, man. He did not have a chance on that blues like LT coming through there. They made everybody look like LT, Derek Thomas, T sizzle. I mean, that's everybody looking in Oliver's a hell of a player for the bills, but they lose digs and, and both starting receivers, both starting safeties and these new look Buffalo bills, opportunistic on defense, playing fast, playing downhill, not letting the speed stay anywhere or get anywhere, but in front of them. You keep that speed in front of you. You change the game because you have so much pressure. That was the bills game plan. That's all they did tonight. They knew they could get to a right away. They figured the dolphins could never run the ball on them and they were right on both counts with the injuries and with everything with that offensive line, hardly anybody playing all preseason. You got two rookie running backs as your backups tonight and Wilson and, and Jalen right and I'm not knocking them. They both played pretty well, but they were just spelling a chance. So what I'm going to say is I don't care who you have. I don't care if you bring merino back in his prime with the Marx brothers, OJ McDuffie, Paul Warfield, Zonka and kick in the backfield, I don't care. It does not matter. It does not matter because if you cannot block the defensive line and your quarterback can't take three steps without getting killed every time he throws the ball or having to throw it, get rid of it, run in for his life, then you get in his head. Forget about it. They had no chance tonight. I knew it right away on that first drive as soon as I saw those bills and I thought maybe they might wear down, the humidity might get them, but then the pick six happened and then it went from bad to worse to atrocious to devastating with the injury to two. His family's back there with him in the bowels of the stadium right now, wondering if he's going to be okay. His wife's got to be thinking, honey, do you really need football? You know, you start thinking about your future, your life, your family, and it doesn't matter as much in this day and age as it used to. The old generations of players, the kicks, the Zonkas, the greases, they didn't know better. A lot of those guys, you see them later in life and I believe me, I did shows with Jim Kick for years, Zonka would come around, Warfield, Mercury, Morris, got to love Merck. These guys are limping. You know what I mean? They're CTE. There's so many things. There's been suicides. It's a different era. Back then, smelling salt, get back on the field and go. It happened all the time. Just tell Steve Young or Troy, I think they wish they played today. You know what I'm saying? But there is no reason and no excuse. No excuse for to a not sliding on that play. You have got to. Man, he really caught, it's hard for me to say that. I don't want to rip him. He's hurt. He's injured. He's seriously injured right now and I don't want to say that. But man, it's just, it's so unfortunate that he didn't just slide there. It is so unfortunate. You're watching your lockdown dolphins postcast. Jim Greece, however, comic Greece at Jim Greece underscore that fan duel overlay looks good up there, doesn't it? I love those folks at fan duel and I wonder what the dolphins Super Bowl odds did tonight after that stinker where they can't block anybody. I know they got two guys out of front, but you're an NFL player. Put your helmet on, strap it up and hit somebody, man. That was embarrassing watching them tonight. I would not want to be any of those offensive linemen in that film room. I wouldn't want to be and the defense doesn't get exempt either. You give a 49 yard touchdown run. I saw a lot of missed tackles tonight and I'm going to be honest with you. Not a lot of guys played very much in the preseason for Miami and it's become that in the NFL. Why don't they just wipe away the preseason, do one game, make more regular season? We've talked about this before because, man, like how many times can you see it? I do shows on the weekends on ESPN radio across the country, Herm Edwards, you know Herm Edwards, you play to win the game, right? The former Eagle, the coach, whatever. Herm said to me and it was very well said, very, very well stated. He said, look, he said, these regular season games, the first couple are now like preseason games because nobody plays in the preseason and nobody's at game speed for the opener. So the fans are getting exhibition games. We're getting exhibition games-ish to start the season because nobody's playing in the preseason. They're so afraid of injuries and the contracts are so big now, they don't want to play in the preseason and you get crappy football. And what the Dolphins played tonight was worse than crappy football. Their offensive line was terrible. Their offensive line was not even the level of a major college offensive line tonight. I'm not saying that the major college team could beat them, calm down. I'm saying they did not perform. They did not show up. They barely got a pad on those guys tonight. Every single time the Dolphins ran the ball, it was a brick wall. They got no push, zero, nothing all night long. If you're an offensive lineman for the Miami Dolphins right now, you need to check yourself. You should be going to bed tonight, not being able to sleep, wondering how you can get better. Your offensive line coach, everything about that unit, trying to get to a kill. No running game. All the nightmares we had all off season long. What's going to happen? Are they going to be able to block anybody? Yeah, they had two guys out. I understand that. You know, I really do. I get that. And that's not an easy thing to overcome on the offensive line. It's got to play as a cohesive unit. You know, but you see that, man, Armstead was out. That was a big one. That was a big one. The shoulder injury, you know, and very, very tough for that one to come out. And, you know, you were missing Malik Washington and Channing Tyndall and Andrew Meyer. I mean, it's just, it's very tough and Raheem was out too. And, you know, Mick Morris on injured reserve and Odell is still out. And, you know what I mean? And it just is, it's been a tough goal of it so far for them on that front. And then so many guys didn't play in the preseason. And you were able to overcome it last week against Jacksonville because you got the ADR touchdown from Tyree Kill, the defense made big plays at the times they needed to after being dominated in the first half, they came back in the second, but the Jaguars kind of gave him that game. They gave him that game with the fumble as ATN's running in the end zone. Remember, ATN's touchdown last week would have been just like the pick six today. Game over, man. Game over. 24/7, you're 0 and 2 right now. If Holland doesn't strip that ball and they don't come back and catch fire in that game the way they did and I'm glad they did, don't get me wrong, you're looking at 0 and 2 right now. So is it a fool's goal if you think they're good, if you think they're decent? How much work do they have to do right now? How much work do they have to do right now? And I'm trying like crazy to load these things that they sent me this week for like the new graphics that I told you about. So let me see right here what I can get for you one at a time because they're having trouble. Come on. We're trying to load these little graphics in here because we spent a lot of time building them and making them and sometimes you have to try a couple of times to get these through. But we have like a star of the game, a turning point. There goes one of them. Okay, perfect. But just sometimes you have to try a couple of times. If it first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again. That's what the dolphins need to do right now. Dust themselves off and try again because that's, it's just week two. It's one game. It's very concerning what Jacksonville did and what the Bills did. The offensive line needs a lot of work. Remember players didn't play a lot in the preseason. The dolphins are going to be there at the end if two is healthy. That's the only thing you should be taking from the show right now more than anything is praying to God or whoever you pray to or just manifesting that spirituality and the good vibes and karma, whatever it is you're doing. Remember to us health right now because you're dead without them and you're done without them and you have no chance without them. Period point blank end of story. You have no chance without Toa. You know, you're not going to find find this year's Joe Flacco, I don't think. But a nice job by Toa hanging in there with all that, those guts tonight, the second drive of the game from Miami where they're running those trick plays, they ran the two end rounds to Waddle and Hill. They went right down the field and scored. They look so great on that drive. Where was that? The rest of the game. What in the world happened on that one drive? They look like the greatest show on turf and then it just goes away and I don't understand because that was the only time they looked good at all tonight. The rest of the night was absolutely terrible and they have so much to do before they head to Seattle and take on the Seahawks in that game two of the season or game three of the season rather after this week because the short week, obviously it was a physical game against Jacksonville and then you come back against Buffalo, another physical team, their beat up. Toa's got the concussion. I doubt he plays that game. I'm not real sure he will. I doubt he does, but we shall see. We shall see. Took me so long to find the postcast. Glad you're here, Leastly Epic Gaming. Thanks for coming strong tonight. Really appreciate you. Well, it didn't work out the way we thought it might tonight, right? You could picture national TV, big audience, everybody watching the Dolphins with a signature performance. They always went at home in September in games like this, but they're now one in 12 in their last 13 games against the Buffalo Bills. And at least when it comes to the Dolphins, nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills. All right. That's all there is, Finn's fans. There is no more. I love you, Mad Dog, your lockdown Dolphins postcast here tonight. Jim Grease, Robert Colmy, Grease, 31, 10. The Bills dominate Miami in game two at the rock, and there really was not a lot to be positive about tonight. Achan, of course, a big positive in this game, other than that, not much. The offensive line dominated, defensive line did not play well. They were, they've turned the ball over three times. They turned it over on downs, some injuries. Make sure you catch locked on Dolphins for these 12 days leading up to Seattle. There's going to be a lot of interesting content coming your way with Kyle. And then Saturday locked on Kane's postcast with myself right after the game. We'll have Alex Donilon as well, Kane's looking to go three and all against Ball State before South Florida, Louisville and then Florida State, top 10 for the first time in a long time. That has been, let's go Kane's and we will be here again after that Seattle game on the 22nd with locked on Dolphins postcast. Until then, my name is Jim Grease, Robert Colmy, Grease reminding you as always to keep your game tight and your mine right thin fans and do not overreact about one loss, but do over react if two is going to miss a lot of time because that is not a good thing. Tua was forced out of the game with in the third quarter.
