The BYU Cougars harbor hopes of being a better program in their second season of Big 12 Conference and Jake Hatch says that the improvement of the offensive line play and a better rushing attack would have a trickle-down effect in fixing a lot of the issues that Kalani Sitake the BYU football program faced a year ago even with the quarterback position still not settled.
Jake then put a bow on training camp at Brigham Young University (BYU) as the Cougars make the transition to game week preparation mode ahead of their season opener against the Southern Illinois Salukis and he handed out some awards and superlatives from camp that highlighted position groups and players who have stood out over the last month.
Finally, the show wrapped up with a look at the spread for BYU in that season opener against Southern Illinois and if it should be a cause for concern for Cougar fans or if the current line, should BYU cover it, cause Cougar Nation to feel concerns about how the program would perform going forward in the non-conference slate and later into Big 12 play.
