- The BYU football program has had a solid legacy of developing NFL talent on the offensive line and this year's offensive tackle crop, led by Blake Freeland and Harris LaChance, appear to be carrying on that legacy with the depth behind those two to see very little fall-off if they need to be replaced in the lineup for any reason
- BYU's linebackers were a strength early on last season, but when injury struck stars like Keenan Pili and Payton Wilgar the production and overall performance fell off, which leads Jake to believe that there will be a bounce back performance for the unit this fall and should lend to an overall improvement for the BYU defense this season
- Finally, Jake wrapped up the show with some thoughts on the commitment of four-star 2023 women's basketball prospect Amari Whiting, who announced Tuesday that she had flipped her commitment from Oregon to BYU women's basketball in order to play for her mother, BYU women's coach Amber Whiting
