Locked on Cougars for January 7, 2019 began with BYU men's basketball's 88-66 loss to Saint Mary's Saturday night as the Cougars seemingly are back at square one. Jake Hatch talked about the takeaways he had including his growing fear of the lack of buy-in from the team currently.
In the second segment, Hatch caught listeners up on the latest news and notes from the BYU football program with returned missionaries enrolling today as winter semester begins in Provo. Hatch also talked about Dick Harmon's latest piece in the Deseret News about the need for another quarterback or quarterbacks to push Zach Wilson this offseason and wedding bells for a number of the members of the team over the weekend.
In the final segment, the show wrapped up with a brief edition of former Cougars in the Pros as Michael Davis was the lone former BYU player to play on Wildcard weekend in the NFL. Hatch also talked about the other news from the BYU athletic department, including the women's basketball program and men's volleyball, among other notes, and the renderings that were released for the improvements coming to LaVell Edwards Stadium in 2019.
