Good morning, I'm Emma Druckmiller in the TV six newsroom with your on the good morning headlines for Thursday, September 12th. A million man was arrested after police say he stole a man's wallet from inside his parked car outside of a business on Tuesday. According to police, officers responded to Jewel Oscar on First Street A for a report of a robbery. Officers arrived and met with a victim who said he put his wallet on the passenger seat of his vehicle and then proceeded to put his groceries away. Next one 18 year old Elijah Marshall opened the door, took his wallet and ran. Marshall faces multiple charges, including unlawful vehicular invasion and robbery. Voters approved a new performing arts center in the Burlington School District. The tax money voters approved will transform the existing auditorium at although Leopold Intermediate School into a performing arts center. The district says the current space for performances lacked the desired stage size, acoustics, net design room, lighting and seating. And happening today, the YWCA Quad Cities will host their annual pumps, purses and pizzazz fundraiser. The chic event will include a best in shoe contest, silent and live auction, food and dancing. Money raised from the event will go towards developing a new youth shelter. Tickets are required and the event begins at 5.30 p.m. and will be held at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center in Bettendorf. When you look at your weather from meteorologist Kevin Phelps, rinse and repeat again for the QCA. We will have plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. Clouds will start to increase tonight as the remnants of Hurricane Francine move northward into the QCA. This will lead to cloudy skies on Friday and cooler temps in the mid to upper 70s. A lot of the moisture associated with Francine will dry up so only a few spotty showers are possible on Friday. Temperatures will slowly clear by Saturday afternoon, leading to highs in the low 80s. Long range forecasts are looking quiet and mild with highs near 80 degrees and sunny most days next week. That wraps up your on-the-go morning headlines for Thursday, September 12. In the TV6 Newsroom, I'm Emma Jerkmiller.
