Keep What You Earn

Tax Basics for E-commerce Businesses with Jarrod Souza

Broadcast on:
11 Aug 2022

A lot goes into starting, maintaining, and supporting a successful e-commerce business. That's why I am excited to share an expert with you who exclusively works with e-commerce brands as a fractional CFO.

Jarrod Souza has over eight years of experience serving as a CFO for direct consumer brands in the e-commerce space. His extensive knowledge of data and marketing analytics helped one of the companies he worked with grow from four million to forty million dollars in four years. While serving in his last role as the CFO at Michael Hyatt and Company, he felt led to start his own firm, so he founded CFO Expertise to provide fractional CFO services to e-commerce brands. He primarily works with companies doing between three and twenty million dollars in top-line revenue and are looking to scale, but they don't know what levers they need to pull to achieve that.

In our conversation, we talk about sales taxes, key metrics that you need to look out for, what to expect if you want to start a product-based business, and how to focus your energy to ensure optimal success. Whether you currently have a product-based business, you're thinking of starting a new one, or you just want to gain more perspective on the businesses that you interact with as a customer, you will find great value in this conversation.
