Keep What You Earn

How to Never Run Out of Money with Christine O'Reilly

Broadcast on:
03 Feb 2022

This week we're welcoming Christine O'Reilly to the podcast. Christine runs a virtual CFO bookkeeping and accounting practice, much like myself. After spending ten-plus years in the private and public accounting world, she decided to bring her skills to entrepreneurs and businesses. What started as having a love of numbers, turned into helping CEOs take control of their business numbers and make decisions more confidently. You can tell why I love Christine and her mission!

Today we're going to be talking about cash flow. This is a term that we hear all the time in business and it's one of the things that kind of scares entrepreneurs just because it's a confusing term and it's not really put into practical use enough in the accounting world. We don't talk enough about cash flow. We look at statements, we look at the status of things, and we look back in time at what happened in terms of our financial performance. But we don't look forward enough in terms of what to expect and forecasting our numbers going forward. AND cash flow forecasting is one of the most powerful tools you can have in your back pocket as an entrepreneur. Cash flow is really the gateway to understanding where your money is going and where it's coming from so that you can actually plan ahead and never feel like you're losing money or you don't have enough money in the bank account.
