I'm going to give you a few questions. I'm going to give you a few questions. I'm going to give you a few questions. I'm going to give you a few questions. I'm going to give you a few questions. I'm going to give you a few questions. All right, so the Tigers are going to kick it off as, of course, I'm not sure if Elkins won the toss or whatever in the first half. But anyhow, the Cougars will get the ball as Elkins will kick from right to left as we begin second half action. Kind of an on formation Lincoln has. There's a big hole right there about the 40 yards minor. If I'm Elkins, I might try to skip this. I'm going to kick it off here. Yeah. You never know. OK, D'Angelo count this player, making sure everything's right. Yeah, Hunter. Yeah, we're ready. And look at this. He swibs it. He just called their day. Good call. And Connor Rice lost it, but he picks up at the 10. Still on his feet. 15. And look at that. Nice tackle there. It's a 21 yard line. Oh, great. Check it out. It's 45. Yeah. Over. Just here. Fun to stop. Thanks. Just a big day. That's why I have so many free. Free. We call him about anything. Yeah. OK. First down. And 10. From their own 22 yard line moving from left to right. I'm trying to see is that marks back in? Yes. OK, so it marks back in. Back in the game. That's good news for the Cougars. Well, the good news is that, but what kind of adjustments do they make during halftime? Yeah. True. OK. First play. Man goes in motion. And here is the give off of that right side. And Rice. With. A few yards. He's gonna be. He's gonna be. Be knocked down. And about to. 25. So pick up. Of two. We'll call it. So second down and eight. Let's see what Devon over might have 55 tackles right now. He is everywhere. Yes. He is. Well, he rather right there. That's just on the tackle as well for the Tigers. So AJ bark in the shotgun with Connor Rice there as his little side car. And they have two receivers to the left. I like that. The side car. Here comes the snap. And again, it's going to be right. And he is next after maybe a one yard. That's the freshmen. I think workmen and rather right there. So that's going to bring up third and long. Third down and seven. Well, they say eight, but I think it's seven. We'll see. 1045 turning clock. Third quarter. Elkins leading 21. Nothing over Lincoln and Lincoln with the football. At their own 27 yard line at the right hash mark. Again, they move from our left to right. And there's the snap. Good snap. And overthrows his receiver. He was looking for Jacob. I'll tell you what. Not that. Arthur Bart. In the backyard. Do you think would work? But I'll tell you what. It's just been. AJ has just been off tonight. Yes, he has. So fourth down. And of course they're going to have to punch. So Wyatt Finch comes on. He's been a busy man tonight. Yes, he has. And if you're Elkins, what a great start to the second half. Yeah. And it's probably going to end up with a good feel for this. You've got Nick thinking about his own 38 yard line. 38. We've got whistles. Ooh. Oh no. I don't know that thing. It's 26% remaining. It's going up there. Come out. Not sure. What happened? Did they have enough? I heard some of the fielders. Too many or what? They did. I just don't know. Well, it's something they didn't like. They might have caught a timeout. They might be bringing the heat right here. Yeah, that's possible. Remember the first quarter when they did. Yeah. Yeah. They brought the house and they got the block. Devon over catches down here. Returns about 15 yards. Fipped up Elkins inside the Lincoln 20 yard line in the first half. All right. So we'll see what happens. 10 minutes, 26 seconds to play. Order number three, Elkins 21 and Lincoln zero. Lincoln with the ball at their own 27 yard line. Ball at the right hash mark. Almost thing. They might be playing for a fake here. Possibly. That's possible too. I'm Lincoln. I don't know if I'm. No. Not the first year. I had to have a call if you call it a fake from the early 36 yard line. All right. See what happens here. We're bringing the heat off that right side. Look out. Here's the snap. It's a good snap. And here is the pun. Very high and short. And it is going to take a Lincoln bounce. It's going to be down at the Elkins 47 yard line. Well, let's take over first. 10. 10 13 to play. Order number three. And let's see. They'll spot it at the 40. 48. Yeah. So Elkins will have a first and then right hash mark at their own 48 yard line. Yep. Tigers and Cougars. Look for something off this left side of this. Yeah. That's the one. All right. Uh oh, fumble and Sarawans going to have to take it and go down. Fumble on the flag and Sarawans able to get it back. But it's going to be a loss of five. So second down in 15. Yeah. They just didn't have the hand off. I think he was actually going to try to hand off the Dylan. He was going to come last five. Right. He had to do everything he could just to hang on to the ball. Smart player took it attack and just. Keep in position. Nine minutes. 40 seconds. Clock turning. Order number three. Elkins 21. And Lincoln zero. Elkins with the ball. They're in 48 yard line. Here's the snap. And here is the give and right up the gut. For a couple yards. There's power. He came three. Yeah. So that'll be third down and long for office. Okay. Four yards. So now third down and 11 for office. Nine. Ten to play third place. 47. She opens take the time on the huddle. Oh, yeah. I used to block. Yeah. It might be one football. Hey, you're up three scores. Yeah. Got to do what you got to do. Do ugly. If ugly is going to get you the win. And the play clock is down to seven. And county. Star line. Get the snap. And here's a pitch on the left side. And that's a bowers again. Bowers at the fifty forty five forty. And he is going to be knocked down. About the thirty seven yard line. Yeah. So Bowers having another great night. Yeah. He's real close to that one fifty mark. And they're going to spot it at the Lincoln 38 yard line on the left hash mark. Moving from right to left. Eight minutes forty three seconds left. Quarter number three. Elkins twenty one. Lincoln zero. Star wind. This off the more. It's over center. Got the jet on. We'll see what happens. And here is the give to Fortnite. Oh, here's a fumble. Oh, and it's going to be a big, big loss. Huge loss. It's going to go clear back. To the Lincoln forty nine yard line. That's not what you need. No. Also hurt you on the play. Mm hmm. All right. So now the ball clear back. To the Lincoln forty nine yard line. Seven fifty eight to play quarter number three. Forty nine. You're going to be second and twenty. Tiger. Second and long. Well, what you don't want to do right now is be sloppy. We have two sloppy experiences. Yes, we have. But you know, fortunately, Elkins has been able to pick up both of those fumbles. Okay. Here's to give the bowers this time on the right side. Bowers across his mid field and he. To about the forty four yard line. So pick up those around five. And then to kind of play her down. Oh boy. You don't like to see that. Never. Yeah. So they're going to check and see what's going on. And you know, with their tight end on offense and defense. It's like a cramp though. It looks like another cramp. I'll tell you what. You got to give Q. There's anybody that puts on hell up in the shorter path. Oh yeah. There's football. It's a different sport. And you've got to be built a little different to play this game. And the lumps and bumps and bruises you take. Yeah. It's different. It sure is. So again, just a reminder that next Friday night Tigers at all. And the Lewis County Minutemen come to town. To face Elkins. And of course, if you can't come to the game, you can always listen to it right here on 98-9, WDNA. For all season long. Elkins. Tiger. Football. Don't forget. It's a good quarter social tonight at the Stogener Center for all end up county teams. You know, a pizza from the freshmen and friends. Some good social time. Good conversation. Safe place to be for your kids. Watch a little fifth quarter highlights and you're going to see some Elkins finally from their night. I promise you. Yeah. That's good. Okay. Third down and long for Elkins. Well, we see a pass. Well, I'd say give it to Forty on that left side. Well, we've tried this left side a couple of times. That's where we've had most success. Yeah. And the ball right in the middle of the field. So it's not like that's a short side of the field. There's been success there. But the last couple of plays going left have also been not very good handles. No, but they're going to go to the right. And this kind of bowers, bowers up over the 45 to 40 still on his feet. And he's going to be knocked down around 37. So bowers not enough for the first down. That's going to bring up four sounds for the Tigers with six minutes and 45 seconds to play in the third quarter. Elkins leading 21. Nothing going to be forced down. And what, 10? Yeah. I think it's worried at that school since then Mark. Yeah. Okay. Elkins at the 38 yard line ball in the right half. Way these backs are running. I don't want to say you're going to see another run. Yeah. Probably coming left if they can get the exchange correct. I would think. Okay. Here is the give off of that left side again. And this time they're going to bump it. What a. It's my eight or eight. Holy moly. The 40 would only pick up about three yards and Elkins will turn it over on down. Eight rice slammed him into the ground and yelled 40 down. That. I mean I could feel that one here. There's chad wear on the field. Giving it to the officials for a personal foul call that's not called. But again, you know football is a rough sport and sometimes you're going to see hits like that. And fortunately they look ugly but if it's within the rules of the game. It's within the rules of the game. Okay. So we're going to take a thirty second timeout here on ninety eight nine. W D and E. Well, there I was about to literally throw out the proverbial kitchen sink with the wife Jean and Gil Buford. I got this. Sure enough. She headed on out of Lincoln Supply and Mill Creek and brought home all the plumbing supplies. Not to mention the tools she needed to rectify the leaky water lines and drain pipes. Well, there she was in all her glory. Elbo's flying in poof. It's done. What a woman. Oh, I fell in love all over again. You need to get supply for all the hardware you need around your house. Look at supply in Mill Creek. If they don't have it, you don't need it. Are you hungry? Hey everyone. This is Susan from Scotty's. Elkent's leading 21-0 over Lincoln with six minutes and twelve seconds to play in quarter number three and Lincoln will take over on downs and they'll have it at their own thirty six yard line. Good thing is they'll be able to get up under his own power and get some help of the sideline. Yeah. That was a nasty hit for sure. That would hurt. It sure did. He'll definitely fill that tomorrow. Sure will. Okay, bar in the shotgun bar long count like clock down to five and here is the gear to Edwards and he is going to be knocked down for a big loss. Eight up my number eighty three big country. They will be college. Yeah. See ya. Whoo. Just want to go clear back to the thirty one yard line to bring up second down in fifteen. Three what? The Tigers are getting contributions on different from multiple places. Oh yeah. We've called several different names all night long and that's that's what we call a team coming together. Yes. You know. That's one. Let's have a say. There you go. Second and fifteen. Shotgun. Bart back to pass. That pocket closing quick and he's going to go down. Oh. That pocket closing quick and he's going to go down. Oh. That's a good car. No. That's a good car. No. You're saying it's him. Yep. That's what that was called the liver to hit. The economy was right there. Oh. That's the ground. The ball popped out. But I think they're going to save the ground cause rumble. Yup. Yup. I believe you're right. I think well I never said that. They're going to say that his knee was down before the ball female. Sorry. Okay. Still. You know. Boy that pocket closed quick didn't it? Yes it did. Okay. So now it's going to be third down and about thirty three went down right before the ball popped out. The ball right in the middle of the field they moved from our left to right. Thirty three yard lives they're working from back and through the ball is part. No surprise. Oh. Look at this. Center step. Oh. Almost center step. Let me tell that. You got to try that. Yes. He did. That was a great defensive coverage Bob the best year as well. I'll tell you what. We talked about this team being young. They're staying crispy make some plays with the freshmen. We've seen Tony Sebastian Lake probably three or four different plays. Yup. From that DB position. These these young fellows are out here playing tonight. Indeed. Woo. So that's going to bring up fourth down and we're going to see why it's bench again. You don't have a throw leg in the morning. You're going to need the mighty hot. You better believe it. Okay. Good snap. And here is the pond. And it's really high. Excuse me. Really high. And. Bowers will pick it up. What happened? Well they stopped the clock because a Lincoln player and a Tiger player collided and a helmet popped off and they stopped playing. Looks like they had a helmet off all that plays and by one stop. So that'll make me kill the playoffs. Yup. Presuming. The player loses the helmet. Well you know that I like that though. You do for me. Nobody's going to get hurt. They're always trying to protect the head at all thoughts. Oh yeah. And you know it just gives me goosebumps when I read these stories about how these high school players and even smaller are getting hurt. Oh yeah. Yeah. I mean that's as a coach at your biggest fear you always want to make sure you're doing enough as a coach even me with five to seven year old. Oh yeah. I constantly worry about techniques at five six and seven because one wrong move could you know it can change a life so. Yes indeed. Definitely want to make sure. Okay. Four minutes and twenty three seconds to play quarter number three. Elkins with the football at their own twenty nine yard line it looks like and twenty one nothing they lead and the ball will be at the right hash mark and the officials are still talking things over. I'm sure we go on there. Up here about Applebee's on a Friday night. The Oreo shake and whatever the rest of us are. What are they supposed to do. I don't know both of the twenty nine. Always at the twenty nine. We're free stretch his arms. Yeah. And Elkins just they're sending both teams back to their mentions. I'm sure what's going on. But we will find out. And don't forget next Friday night Lewis County Minutemen coming to town to face the Elkins Tigers in the following week Elkins goes to Buck Cannon you know we're out thirty three games. Yes sir back in full effect and I don't believe that Lewis County's playing this evening. I don't remember reading the scores so you're going to get a Lewis County team coming here off of my week. Actually a lot of people they're playing in Braxton County who just don't have an update. Okay. Now they've got the officials talking to Coach Ware and you know I don't know I'll be the first to tell you that I have no idea but I'll also tell you that I'm glad that whistle went when a helmet came off. Yes. Yeah that was. I'm sorry. That's something new we've seen. Yeah I have not either. It was completely away from the play but the helmet did come off and they immediately blew the whistle and blew the play dead so they might be talking about at this point when they blew the whistle where do you put the ball because yeah true you know Nick had the ball somewhere on the 20 yard line but the hit actually happened around the 29th. Right. So are they discussing that where you blow the ball you know blow the play dead is where the ball dispossessed or I don't know something else but you know I give them kudos they've called a very good game tonight. Always done fantastic. They have. As always I couldn't do it. No. You'll never see me do it. Same here. Now I did basketball for a long time. Yeah. I'm not that guy. I'm the guy on the sidelines. I'm not that guy. I'm the bad guy. You're the bad guy. Yeah. You're not that guy. You're the bad guy. You're the bad guy. You only do. We've got some little players trying to get the crowd into it. There you go. There's still talking. Talking this over. But not a problem. Again there's if you joined as late four minutes and 23 seconds remaining here in quarter number three Elkins 21 and Lincoln zero and when we resume play Elkins will have it if they're in 29 yard live moving from right to left. The best part is I hear the Japanese thought he was in the background. Yeah somebody's playing it. Oh Lord. I'll tell you what when we got a minute there Mr. Triplett there's there's a big game and one can tell them tomorrow here. Yeah. Who you got? I got the Mountaineers baby. Okay. You got Albany. I'm just kidding. Mountaineers big tomorrow. Mountaineers big tomorrow. All right. Now they're deciding what they're doing and we still don't know what it is. Well they pointed both directions. Yep. What I didn't see is a referee throw a bean bag. Right. Where the helmets came off. So they're picking up the flag. Right. Okay. The ball is going to stay at the point nine I believe and that's where the collision happened in the helmet popped off. So it looks like what's going to happen because anytime that happens they blow a dig. They're going to spot it where the helmet came off. All right. I think it's farmed that but not magically to guess it's a moment. Okay. Tigers first and 10 from their own and well 29 here is to get right up the middle bowler and he gets over to 30 to about the 32 yard. Let's see what he's running hard but he's got to sit down up there and he would look up. He'd make a little juke to the left. Yeah. There's a lot more room there and second and sixth for Elkins. How do you argue with somebody that's over a hundred or sixty yard rushing there. So you know what? Keep doing your thing Nick. Actually, they fucked about the 33 in one K doing what he does. Okay. Ball at the 33 yard line. Clock turns three 48 to play third quarter Elkins at 21 nothing. Taiwan up over center and here is the give. Oh, it's the ground cause that. It won't come up again but 40. Good cause that problem. Okay. It's going to bring up third as the ball is going to be at the 37 yard line. So he's going to be third and three for Elkins. Tell you what, if you could chat way right now, you're up by three touchdowns. I'm angry because it's been a sloppy second half. You've seen Miss King under center. You've seen a couple of fumbles, miscommunication with handoffs, can't have that going forward. No, I can't. All right. Third down and three for the Tigers. Sarah lines. Here's the hand to Bowers off that left side and it looks like he's from their first row. He's right there at the 33 so I think that he did there. First down. First down Elkins with their own 40 yard line. All with the left hash mark, Elkins moving from right to left 255 to play quarter number three, 21 0 Elkins. This has been one long third quarter. Oh indeed. And do. Nobody's going to pipe up and got stiff. I need some actually hot. Shoot. We. Football get no. Yes, it is. All right. There's a ball right at the 40 yard line left hash mark at sower line that was up over center. In the jet look. And here's the give. Bowers on that left side again. Bowers at 40 35 breaking tackles. Bowers knocked out a bounce close to midfield. Close to another first down. Nine yards just missed. Just missed the first down again to those that Elkins left five Tony was. Yeah. Senator Owen. We've got Isaac Markman and Aidan Lambert are just punishing the right side of this Lincoln B face. Okay. The ball at their own 49 yard line where it's going to bring bring up second down and one throw. Well, it's a left hash mark 21 nothing Elkins 148 or turning clock third quarter. And here is the snap. And here is the give again. That's Bowers on that left side. Bowers midfield 45 breaking tackle 40 and finally knocked down at about the 37. Wow. Wow. Well, they've gone up and read the exact same way. Yeah. They found some. I'm a little surprised that Lincoln didn't fix that at past time, you know, no, they didn't. I mean, it's literally the jet look they'll afford is coming in motion from right to left as soon as he comes past the quarterback. Nate. I don't want to snap it. It's a quick toss to Nick enough. He's got Lee Blockers plus Isaac Workman and Aidan Lambert leading the way. This part of should just link in detail. They are. Okay. The ball is a 38 guard line first and 10 Elkins and that's got the Lincoln 38 110 on a turning clock. Elkins leading 21 nothing. Here's the give again Bowers, Bowers looking for room. He's up over the 30 and close to the 25. Bowers getting nice pops every time he touches the ball and there again. Oh, it's Taylor. They've opened up a nice goal. The ball is going to go to the 29. Guess what? Nine yards. Pickup. Second and one for the Tigers. Oh, good coach Hawkins. You're almost have to think about a timeout. I mean, you can't down there for a minute left, but. Yeah. The clock is down to 37. Their gas. I mean, the hands on hips on all 11 positions on defense right now, they've got no answers. Yeah. And their defense has been out there most of the night. Yeah. Hey, Sarah, one looks at that play clock. It's down to nine. And here's the give again. That's Bowers, Bowers at the 25. And that's going to be where he stops it. So a four yard set up. And it is the Tiger first. Right now. I'll just play Liberty ball. It's let's get. Yeah. We're going to have four yards a pop. That's exactly right. And that's probably going to be the last play of the quarter. Move the chains. Run the clock. Move the chains and run the clock. You got that right. And that's going to end three quarters. We'll be back with fourth quarter action after these messages on 98 9 W D and E. All days mean summer savings days at performance Chevrolet, fabulous rebates, incredible interest rates. Save money. You're right. Oh, that was horrible. That was, you could see that was coming. So Elkins will get a penalty there for full start and we had two or three going at the same time, D. Yeah, just brainlapse there. Oh yeah. So that's the first penalty of the second half. Well again, there's been a lot of penalties of having a crucial time and when you start getting into the meat of this schedule, the Phillip Barbers, the North Marion's, Fairmonts, and the Hoover, those are things you cannot do if you want to stay on those buckets. Okay now we'll begin again, first and 15 Tigers at the 30 yard line of Lincoln. This time it works. Left side and running hard with the football. Who was that? Kate Stillham. Kate Stillham. Kate Stillham. Kate Stillham. Okay, and he picks up about six, so that's going to bring up second and nine and the ball inside, they're 25 to the 24 yard. 1133 to play in the ball game. Elkins 21, Lincoln zero. There I save, the Tigers pitch a shout out. And we'll see. There's still a lot of time. And comes in motion, this time the right side to see what's there and there's not going to be a whole lot there. There will be a few yards maybe, for hours, it's going to be fodder, there's a 23 yard line. So third down and seven for Elkins, clock turns, 1058 to play in the ball game, leading 21, nothing over Lincoln. The ball's on the right hand, hash mark, where it is third and seven. Don't look now, but my calculations are correct, it's over 200 yards right now, there's 201 on both the two pairs. That's great. Two games there are over 200. All right, Sarawad, this is men's movement, excuse me, there's bowers right up the middle and he's inside the red zone, inside the 20, but he's going to be short as the first down, like it's going to be forced down and about two. We'll see what happens here. I can hear Coach Greg Hart saying the exact same thing I've been saying, Nick's running hard, but if he'd bouncing one of these to the inside or outside and make one cut, he's in the end there several times. Okay, fourth down and two from the 17 ball in the middle of the field, 21, nothing, tag or lead with nine minutes and 55 seconds to play in the ball game. I'm going to argue with two 200 dollar games there, all done. Yeah. So you think sir, do you think Sarawad, up over center, man goes and motion falls down. There's bowers and bowers inside the 15th of the 10th of the 10th, he's got like five players on him, he's inside the 10th, he's going to be forced to go for Elko. Wow. First and goal for the Tigers, nine minutes, 38 seconds to play in the ball game. First and goal from the nine yard line. I mean, what a night for Nick, I mean, 34 carries, you've got a 6.3 yards clip, I mean, we talk about a workforce. Yeah. And the Tigers doing what they need to do, they're keeping their eyeball on the clock. We're in that thing all the way there. Oh, yeah. Lake there, the game clock's down to nine, 12th and right now they just got under 10 on the play clock. Here's the give, and it's bowers again and bowers, he gets to about the five yard line where he's stuck in a late, late flag, little extra curriculars down there, believe by some frustrated, look at the players, yeah, oh, yeah. Looks like it's going to be an unfortunate like maybe personal health, I would say that's probably the call. I don't know. Looks like the extra shove there at the end of the play, and I'm not sure if they added some motives to it or not. Yeah. Well, that'll be half the distance to the goal, that's the call. Here it is. No, it's an open. Oh, okay. Personal foul in the Tigers. Wow. Oh, again, these are things if the coach wears looking for some. And the ball spotted at the what's eight yard line. At the nine when it started, they can get down around the five. Okay. Here comes the big penalty for open. All for not. 15 yards. And, you know, you had mentioned a lot of these penalties coming at crucial times. Oh, you just don't, I mean, I don't care what the score is, I don't care if it's 72 and nothing. You don't want to have this happen because these things carry over. Okay, first and goal from the 20 yard line. Okay. You have to go ahead up Kirk, she can split some of that 50-50 money with him. There you go. 840 to go in the ball game, Elkins first and goal from the 20 yard line. Nothing like it. Here's Bowers. Bowers up the gut. Running off of that left side and he's going to get about the 15. All right, got to watch here. You don't want things getting chippy down there. Yeah. It's like we've got an injured tiger. Yeah, it does. I think that's perfect. Never saw. Maybe with an angle and issue there. Mm-hmm. Yeah. A second down and goal from the Lincoln 15. Eight minutes, 20 seconds left in the ball game. Elkins moves from left to right. I'm going to guess in one K with another test. All right, Sarah wanted. And he gives it to Fortnite. Look at this. Fortnite, what's some running room? Fortnite, close to the goal line, but not quite there. Say what? All of them's running with a different purpose when he gets his opportunity. They're going to have other stuff he do back there. Wow. So now it's going to be where they spotted at the six yard line. Yeah. Six yard line where it's forcing goals. Hey, that's a soft field goal. Why not? Well, hey, this is something you have to have in your repertoire as well. You had a brand new kicker and Adam D. Enelow, first time playing football came over from the soccer field. Back of the leg, but this is a little different when you put the pads on. You never know when one of these might win you a ball game. That's true. Okay. There's the snap. It's a good snap. And here is the kick. It's up. It's long enough. And it is. Good enough. When he said we're nothing, Elkins, back with a kick after these messages, the 98-9-WPD. And welcome back as the Angelo gets his leg into one to give the Tiger a 24-0 lead, with 7 minutes and 14 seconds to play in the ballgame. I'll say what, his kicks, he had three extra points early, but he was drilling those and then he drilled a 25-yard field goal to add some points for his, even in total. I'll tell you what, the good thing is, if you look back the last week, he had a couple kicks blocked on the exit. Yeah, he was one for three and he wasn't open to block, so big difference tonight. Big difference. Alright, here is the kick, it gets long and deep, and it's over the head of Connor Rice that's going to go to the end of that, ooh, I don't like that, little extra-curricular activity from both teams that time. Yeah, you don't want to get in all that, just play football. Definitely don't need that stuff. You know, if you're out big, you don't want to talk to the other team, if you're down, you don't want to do anything dirty, so you're going to have your night. Okay, first and 10 poovers from their own 20-yard line trailing 24-0. Seven, 14 to play in the ball game. Okay, did you lose your cell phone, dude? Oh, I'm good. If I did, we would be on air right now. True. Alright, first and 10. Seven minutes, 14 seconds to go in the ball game. Elkins up 24-0. AJ Bart, in the shotgun, as usual, and his receivers are to the left, but he's going to go to the right, and beautiful catch of each, if he's in bounds. I think they gave it to you. Yes, they did, and that was like a kick-a-bark. All right, very nice grab there, and a pickup of nine, so a second down and one. Brother, brother, brother, brother. Okay, back again, looking in trouble, and he is down. Woo-hoo! Look. Seven, over. Oh, yes. Wow. That's a game game. Mm-hmm. And he's got a cramp on top of it. Yeah, cramp on top of it. If you're working out of it, are you deserving of a cramp? Yeah, you deserve a cramp. Wow. And man, what a rush. And, of course, you're six minutes and 52 seconds to play in the ball game, and we're cramping. It looks like the water boy even is cramping. That's a bad night when the water boy... It's a bad night. Yeah. He's carrying six to eight bottles of water. Yeah, and he's limping. That's cramp. Ouch. Ouch. That's great. That might be a rush. Oh, we have a lot of fun at these games though, huh? Oh, you got to. Oh boy. I can't wait to... That better not be one of my players needed. It's going to be my players down there. All right. The ball is back to the... Let's see, the 20-yard line where it's going to bring up third down and 10, so a lot of the nine on the play. All right. Hey, J board. In the shotgun. His opponent is going to bring the house again. No. He's still in trouble. And they got him again. Oh, he got up. That's like it, but... Wow. And this is a loss clear back to the about the eight-yard line. Take it out. It appears they would take it out that damn corner. And the corner is doing them already. Hey, check it out. Now it's fourth down and a bunch. Now bench will have to kick it out of his inventory. All right. Now bench will have to kick it out of his inventory. I'm not so sure I'd bring the pressure now because of the field position. You know what? Why not? Well, you never know. Bring the house. They're coming. Okay. And he gets it off. A very high spiraling kick. And Bowers... Oh, Bowers picks it up at the 48. And he's going to be drilled at the 38. That'll be careful about it. That'll almost turn into the mattress. Yeah. The Deltins will have it from the Cougar 48. 602 to play in a ballgame. Deltins 24. Lincoln's rewrite. What's wrong? Was there laundry? Did I miss something? Well. Yeah, we've got... We've got... We've got refs discussion. We've got coach Wear on the field pleading this case for something. Okay. Let's see what the something was. I don't see any play. Oh, yes there was. There was a call. A personal foul in Elton. Oh, jeez. Don't need it. There's no point whatsoever. No excuse to that. Coach Wear is on the way to his first victory. But I'll tell you what. If I'm hitting that locker room. They're going to get it. They're going to get it. Yeah. So we were just talking about the... It's still good field position, but it's not going to be great field position. Well, but again, it's just another penalty, another negative play. You know, we've seen these things before. You don't want to have repeats of these because these are... These hurt you. These kill you. 90 yards in penalties tonight for the Tigers. I mean, that's a... You know, it's almost a football field, isn't it? Yeah, it is. Okay. It's going to clear back to the 37th where it's going to be first. We can for the Tigers. 602 to play in the ball game. Elkins leading. 24-0. Wow. There's no point in it. No, they're not. There's no... I'm sure it'll be taken care of. Oh, yeah. We'll see you next week. Okay. Sarawind. And here is the pitch back to Bowers. Bowers make break through the 40-45-50 Bowers. 40-30-30-20-15-10. 10-10 Tigers. About 63 yards in the house. 63 yards in 1-0. Wow. 53 yards. For Mr. Bowers. I call him before the game. I said, remember I told you he says, "Well, I said I want 300." Yeah, you did. He said, "Yes, sir." Oh, he said it's 2-1-2 right now. And that comes with 551 to go in the ball game. It's a 33-yard touchdown run. Wow. That's a nice... Man. Nick Bowers. This is something else. What a night for these Elkins London. And for the Elkins Tigers. What a night for the Elkins Tigers. All right. The extra point attempts. Oh, boy. Hey, it's no good. Boy, they got through there quick. All right. But anyhow, Elkins leads 30 to nothing back after these investigations on 98-9-7 daily. It's a widely known fact. Everybody's different and yet we're all the same. Well, pardon me if I wax philosophical. But after much contemplation, the conclusion is evident. Some like cats, some like dogs, some like snakes, some like frogs. I made that up. The Elkins Tigers are on 99 WD&E Elkins. And welcome back to Elkins Tiger Stadium 30 to nothing Elkins leading Lincoln with five minutes and 51 seconds left in the ball game. And the last time we said, "Don't be done nothing." It's been a long time. What a night. And here is the kick. It hit the squibber hole. And it hit one of the up men, but he was able to fall on it. Boy, I'll tell you what. That was a good job there by Gabe Keller. That was all mine. No way he did. Back to that. Okay, the ball is right at midfield where at first he hits. Wow. I'll tell you what, we talked about the size of Lincoln before the game. Yeah, we did. You know, how much of a size of man is they had? I'll tell you what, this Elkins offensive defensive line. Oh, yes, they are. Both sides of the ball tonight. Yeah. All right. We have five 51 to play in the ball game. Lincoln with the ball right at midfield trailing 30 to nothing. And K.J. Bart. Man. Look how tired they all look. He looks defeated. Yeah, he's running to his right. And he does have his man and that's Aiden Rice. We haven't seen much of that tonight. No, we haven't mentioned Aiden Rice the same part at all and awesome. Yep. It's, you know, and Elkins playing back just a little bit too, not to let them, you know, get a deep one. So seven yard gain on the fly. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. He's going to be back just a little bit. Can I hear about that? Okay, we have a couple updated scores. Philip Barber leading Buchanan 32-0. In a final score, Tucker County defeats Tiger Sally, 68-0. Oh, I did this. Ouch. All right. So third down now for the Cougars. What's going on? I don't know, but I guess it's safe to say that Tucker's still Tucker, isn't it? Yeah. Oh, yeah. All right. Connor Rice back there with AJ Bart. There's a snap. Elkins looks like jumps off sides. Hey, got a little excited. Yep. A little bit. Just a little bit. That's going to be enough for a first hand. Yep. I'll give them just enough. And I'll be curious to see next week what happens. 1-2-3-4-5. It works out of the eight non- penalties already on Elkins. There'd be a whole lot of running coming Monday. I can tell you that. And Lincoln has two penalties. 5-0-8 to play in the ball game. 30 to nothing. Elkins with the lead. And Lincoln with the ball at the Elkins 38. AJ Bart back in the shot, guys. Man coming in motion. And here it is again. Look at this. Oh, my goodness. Nothing there. Well, he's right. From that linebacker. That was Connor Rice. He's playing another outstanding game from the defense. He was able to set his game the whole lot. He was making plays everywhere. You better believe it. So now it's second and 14. With four minutes and 45 seconds to go in the ball game. He's leading 30 to nothing. Ten negative plays. Ten? How many times will he say that about a Lincoln? Yeah. Okay, Bart. Back look, he's in all kinds of trouble. And oh, it's intercepted. Almost intercepted. Kayla, what? Kayla, the colleague. Big country. You have Bart. Rapp is tight as he could. Bart got rid of it just before he hit the ground. He's nearly intercepted. Yeah. So third down and long. There's four twenty-six to play. Good thing it's one of a tighter DB than one of us. It's probably the third time of the night that there should have been an interception going the Tigers away. Yeah. Good defense. Hey. That's for sure. Nothing to bother. Nothing to bother. And a timeout called by Lincoln. So we'll pause thirty-second zero. Ninety-eight nine. This fall, Gomart's got your chance to kick your tailgating game up a notch. Spend your afternoons with John Ellison. Weekdays, three to seven. I'm ninety-eight nine. W.D. and E. And welcome back to Tiger Stadium. Four twenty-six left in the ballgame. Elkin's third, E. Lincoln. Nothing. D. I've got an updated score for Morgantown. You sure do. Bridgeport forty-nine Morgantown zero. Wow. Can you believe that? Our fairs open to alumni is doing his thing. Mm-hmm. Oh, goodness. You don't believe it. Did not see that coming. Show that party. That's amazing. OK. OK. The same reaction that we did. Everybody's like, woohoo, woohoo. OK, back to this game. Third, down and long. Four twenty-six left in the ballgame. And the ball is spotted at the forty-two yard line of Lincoln. And they're having problems getting their men adjusted here. All right, and here comes the fake. And it's a new quarterback in there. And that's, well, it's eight and right in the flight. So, right in for Bart. And you just wonder, you know, as A.J. Bart took that big, big hit to the second floor. Well, right now, let's vote into nothing. There's four minutes to go. Yeah. Keep him. That's your guy. You can't have anything happen to him whatsoever. No, guys. OK, four to nine. And the clock turns with three minutes and fifty-six seconds to go in the ballgame. And it looks like Aiden Rice. Can't tell. Yeah, D. Is that Aiden Rice still back there? Oh, look at him work. Well, load is right. OK, Rice just runs it. And he's going to be way shorter the first time. And Elkins will take over on down leading thirty to nothing with three minutes to thirty-seven seconds to go. In the ballgame. Well, the interesting part. I've got Nick at 282 yards right now. Three thirty-seven to go. You're feeding for three hundred. Good question. Good question. OK, so Elkins with the football leading thirty to nothing. And they have the ball on their own thirty-three yard line. And we'll see what happens here. You've got to wonder if, you know, I know it's high school in college. You have more technology, but you just got to wonder if the coaches are aware that he's right around now three hundred mark. All right. And here is the pitch and guess who has the ball and he's breaking tackles and he's up to about the thirty-five. They only fix up two. I'd say he's probably gonna get another tattoo. Yeah. So that's going to bring up the second and eight with three eighteen to go in the ballgame. Elkins leading thirty to nothing. The ball on the Elkins tagger thirty-five. Well, they move from our left to right and it's on the right half. I'll tell you, it's been all Elkins tonight. Literally. In every aspect. All three phases of the game. Yeah. And look at the defense there. They are tired. Everybody has their hands on their knees. And this time, Fortney gets it from the left side. Fortney's looking for... Oh! He's hammered hard, but he gets up over the forty, so about the forty-one where it's going to bring up served down and along two. Let's see what's eight and right. The liver can board with another touch. He sure does. Both, let's see. Mm-hmm. So the taggers with served down two and a half minutes to go in the ballgame leading thirty to nothing over Lincoln. And again, next week the taggers back at home to face the men and men of the Lewis County. Six forty-five, three games, seven o'clock, kick off. Hey, what Dylan? My congratulations. He's only four yards shy of a hundred, so you got... Wow. Two backs, close to four hundred yards. That's great. And here is the give, and this time, with the ball, is... Not going to reach over here. Read. Well, read gets in that fourth door. There's your laundry. My business is booming. Your business is booming. And it's booming because of the taggers. We're all your laundry needs, no secrecy. So a holding call there on the taggers. So that's going to back them up another ten. Where it's going to bring up. Third down and. Long. Thirty-one mark from where they're at right now. It's going to go clear back to the thirty yard lines. So it's third down and it's thirteen. And it's thirteen twelve. So Elkins, with two-o-one to go in the ball game, leading. Thirty to nothing. Well, I'm mistaken. I don't think Nick's in the game. I don't think he is either. Which is probably a good idea, you know. So it's got to keep him healthy. Absolutely. Got to keep him healthy. Here's the snacks, and here is the gift. And running hard. He gets to the forty. Where it's going to bring up fourth down. Let's see. They spotted at the thirty-nine. So that's going to bring up a fourth down and five. With one thirty-nine to go. Lock turning. Elkins at their own. Thirty-nine yard line. What a night for Elkins. What a night. You're kind of nervous walking into this. There's a lot of hype, a lot of excitement, and you're like, you know what? They better show up. Guess what? They know they showed up. They showed out. Right. And they're looking at that play clock. And it's down to four. They're probably going to just go ahead and take the penalty here or call Tom out. Yeah, they should be. And they called Tom out. They should be in, are we at fourth down? Yeah. Oh yeah. I mean, they didn't even line up to snap it to see if they would jump off or anything. It was just a matter of letting it go. Okay, clock down to one minute and twelve seconds to go in the ball game. Elkins with a thirty-to-nothing lead over the cougars of Lincoln. And the scoreboard is lit up again. Look at that thing. Nice, isn't it? That's a good way for your face to pop up there. Not me. When did the gym triplet? Yeah. What do you call it? I didn't see how much it's going to cost me to get that up on the screen. Anything's possible. All right. The ball at the thirty-nine yard line. Four sound and five for the Tigers. And the ball closer to the left hash mark with a minute and twelve seconds to go in the ball game. I'll tell you what's cool too. You know, you look at which one right. You've got Coach Greg Hart over there that's rowing the sidelines for thirty-plus years. You're still out here doing the same and you've got the young man and Donte Ramirez. He was a superstar player here in the twenty-twenty season. There was a big part of that first playoff winning school history on the staff now. It's just cool to see how things come to fruition like that. And it just gets tough. Good stuff. Okay. So the Tigers are going to punt the ball away. Which one on? Kade Mooney, the deep man for Lincoln. Here is the kick. It's a decent kick. It was. And Mooney picks it up at the twenty-seven and he's only going to get to about the thirty-one yard line. Where Lincoln will take over first and ten with one-to-four to play the ball game. Elkins leading thirty to nothing. We can down by the first and the number twenty. First and rest. I'm telling you where right now. Look out. First and rest. Now, this workman is going to be a super thumb alarm. He's going to be that next. Big back we've got. You've got Elias Jones coming up. You've got Anthony Isabode. You've got some young talent in this backfield. Kyle Reed is still going to be here. There's some good things happening in Randolph County, ladies and gentlemen. Yes, indeed. All right. So the ball will be spotted at the Lincoln thirty-one yard line. And one minute and four seconds to go in the ball game. So you'll see what happens here. Yeah, we've got Bart back on the field. I know that though. That's the brothers. Sorry. The brothers in the field. Jacob Bart. I knew I was right. There was a Bart. Yeah, you're right. Hey, come on. Don't underestimate yourself. That's right. Okay. And Bart cans it off to Kate Mooney. And Mooney up somewhere in the thirty-five to forty. And he may have gotten the first down. It's not. He's very, very close. And he is close. Okay. Second one. Okay. Okay. Okay. The timeout calls with forty-eight point eight seconds to go. We've got a measure here. There's a field over there. Up to forty-five. Okay. So we're going to take a thirty-second break here on ninety-eight, nine, WDNA. All care West Virginia is immediately hiring for several counties. If interested, call six, eight, one, two, nine, eight, five, zero, five, zero. All care West Virginia offers a friendly and motivating work environment to help you reach your employment goals. Our goal is to treat our patients and employees like family. And we want you to join our team. If you are in need of services in your home or in need of employment, call All Care West Virginia at six, eight, one, two, nine, eight, five, zero, five, zero. News, weather, and your favorite country with Joe Danger on ninety-eight, nine, WDNA. And welcome back to Elkins Tiger Stadium. Thirty to nothing is the clock turns with forty-two seconds to play in the ballgame. Elkins thirty, Lincoln zero. Wow. And Jacob Bart. Here's the handoff again to Mooney. And he looked at this piece. Wow. Up over the fifty, forty, thirty. He'll still on his feet and he is going to be out of bounds. All most broken. He'll tell you what, that young man's got some wheels. You're right. He turned that far side right corner to there and he was down the sidelines in a blink. And he's a freshman. Twenty-four seconds on the clock now. Twenty-four seconds to play in the ballgame. Thirty to nothing, Elkins. They spot that at thirteen. Yes. The first and ten from thirteen yard line. Whistles. Okay, what happens? Well, Elkins. Elkins with timeout. Twenty-four point one second to play in the ballgame. Elkins thirty and Lincoln zero. And again, next week, Elkins Tigers are home again to face the minutement of Lewis County with six forty-five being our pregame show and seven o'clock kickoff. And then the following week, Elkins will be at Buchanan and same thing, six forty-five pregame and seven o'clock kickoff. That'll route thirty-three. Two weeks in a row. Two weeks in a row. One home and one away. So, Tigers looking good tonight. The Knicks didn't quite get his three hundred, did he? He didn't have to. I mean... Nick, he did not have to. What a performance that young man put up for the first two years. You know, I believe that they're seeing a lot of new uniforms in there. You know, Coach Ware wanting them to make sure, you know, hey, you're playing the last few seconds of the game, but let's just go ahead and get it ready. Absolutely. It's good coaching because these kids, you never know. You know, you've got bodies, this year, which is something we haven't had in a long time, or one of these office teams, but you never know what your number is going to be called. You better be ready. That's right. You call it the time out and make sure they work. That's right. All right, from the shotgun. And Looney was the ball again. And again, he's just a freshman. And let's see, they're probably going to try to get another playoff box down to nine seconds. Yes, they are. Oh, sure. Eight seconds in County. And guess who has it? Look down, Looney! Wow. I'll tell you what, he came in the game in the fourth quarter. He's the leading rusher. Zero point, nine seconds to play in the fourth quarter. And Looney, how many yards would that be? Eight yards out. Okay. All right. Something in the game, four carries 72 yards. They average an 18 and a touchdown. Yeah. Nine tenths of a second to play in the ball game. Leading him three quarters ago. Yeah. And they're going to go for two. Why not? And Looney this time, no, no. Not this time. All of that. Well, I don't think that is not smart. I don't know how I feel about that. I mean, it was... I know how I feel about it, too. See, to me, I think it was a decent play. I hear you kind of swing him to the side, but... I don't know if I'm... I don't know about that. Yeah. I can see both sides of it. Give me no emerald. Especially at this point in the game is... That's an equity one for me. Well, I'm up here. And actually, it's going to be the penalty. It's going to go halfway. Oh, good. It's like a go for the equity one. First off, I was going to be a retry. So, we're going to do it again. Yep. Okay, here's the snap. And there's the moon, man. And again, they got in that top. Yeah. Top time. That's a big point conversion to it. Good job. They got met at the line at the goal line, but... They actually looked into the end zone instead of outside of the end zone. So, 30 to 8. Goacons with the lead. And barring a penalty, this will be the very last play. The ball game on the kickoff. The tagger's looking really, really good tonight, dude. I'm not telling you, I... I'm impressed with the... But you also got to look at the other side of the penalty. Yeah, that's... As a coach, you want to give your boys cuters, so they play the hearts out. They play for four quarters. But as a coach, you want to give your boys cuters. So, they played the hearts out. They played for four quarters. But as a coach, you're always looking for what can we do better? And penalties are something they're going to have to address. Oh, yeah. Forward for sure. And then that last penalty would have been a 15 yarder. Right. You know? So... All right. Both teams coming back on the field. Okay. Doken. They're back deep with Elias Jones in terrorist partners. You do. Dip possession. You think about three steps and just fall to the ground. We got to run off less than a second. Yeah. And I'm sure it's going to be a squibber. We don't need any hero ball, just... Yeah. You don't want it? Run the clock out. Go celebrate. Okay. Kate Riley. To the last play of the ball game. And yes, he just switched it out. And the Tigers fall on it. And that is the ball. Well, nope, not yet. A little more play. Sorry. Well, we'll see you. Yeah. We'll see. Let's see. Elton. 30. Super. 0. So, the Tigers pick up their first win of the season. They go one and one. Well, they can get the right. They got their last steps down. Yeah. They can get the right. 30 to 80. Yeah. And Lincoln falls to 0 and 2 on the season. So, what a nice game for Elton. All-round, nice game for Elton. And we'll be back with the Varners Outdoor Power equipment post game show. Fortney again, this time on a 17 yard touchdown run. Point after the Angelo, good. 21-0. And 7.14 to go into fourth quarter. 25 yard field goal from the Angelo gave Alkins a 24-0 lead. And then with 5 minutes and 51 seconds. Again, Nick Bowers from 63 yards up. Point after no good. Alkins led 30 to nothing and then was 9/10 of a second to go in the ball game. Of all ages. 30-8, the final score. Elkins to beat Lincoln. And here with the final stats, the maintenance minutes. Well, we've got a party going on the middle field. We've got the band in a circle, players in the middle, fight songs playing, what a night. Let's go through it. We're going to start with the Lincoln two years. In the rush game, Connor Rice, eight carries, minus one yard on the evening. Eight in the rice comes in. We get three carries for four yards. Kate Mooney, fourth quarter, comes in four carries, 72 yards. The loan touchdown for Lincoln, average 18 yards per clip. In the fourth there, we got Colton Edwards. He had four carries for 42 yards. And the quarterback, AJ Bart, seven carries, one yard, a lot of those were due to fact. Hopefully half of Devon Hover. So in the run game, 27 carries, 180 yards, average 4.4 yards per carry. The one loan touchdown by Moody. And the passing game, it just wasn't there for Lincoln tonight. They gave us six for 18, 37 yards. That's it. Average 6.2 per pass. Catching those passes. We had eight in rice with two for 12 yards. We had Bernie Barnes early in the game, one catch for 11 yards. You had Jacob Bart, the brother. Two catches for 15 yards. And Connor Rice had one for minus one. So again, that gives you the six completions for 37 yards. All in the night for Lincoln, total yards. 155 all around, 145 plays. The average 3.4 yards per play. Again, the loan touchdown. Then you come to the victorious Elkins Tiger side. What a night all around for the Tigers. In the pass game, we threw one, completed one. That's all we needed. We threw one, completed one for one yard, was Nate Sire one. He didn't need to do much else because he had all kinds of help. Katie Phillips did catch the one pass for the one yard, but in the rush game. The quarterback, Nate Sire one, he did have one for minus five. Of course, that was a sack. Kate Phillips had two carries for eight yards. We got Jayden Harding with one carry for six yards. Then we get into the meat of the night. Dylan Fortney, 12 carries, 96 yards. Average eight point yards for carry. Not one, but two rushing touchdowns. And then the man of the hour, Nick Mowers. 37 carries, 284 yards. Average 7.7 yards per pop. And touchdown to go with it. So on the ground, 53 carries, 389 yards rushing. 7.3 per rush, three touchdowns. So on the night, 390 total yards for the Tigers on 54 plays. Average 7.2 yards per play. And again, they had D'Angelo. We can't forget about him. The three extra points. And then the 25 yard field goal to get his name in the scoring column. What an overall night for the Elkins High School fighting Tigers, Coach Ware. And they have one error. Yes. Okay. And again, Elkins wins it 30 to eight. And don't forget next week, Elkins back here to face Lewis County. 6.45 will be the pregame. 7 o'clock will be the kickoff.
