You have just finished up running some routine tests on one of the experiments that you guys are dealing with, and you've noticed a lot of the staff are not in the building today. They have a big meeting with Vault Tech, and the head scientist that you were closely with Dr. Sondra Santiago is finishing up to run to this said meeting. She is about 5.56. She has a brown hair that she ties up in a ponytail, and she has like a dark complexion. And she is putting away some bink, some bunsons and some burners and all of that fun, sciency stuff. And she says, "I don't know if Doc Chrome would realize this at the time, but the viewer would notice that she just has a very tired and concerned look about her." Yes. Which is not normal. Okay. And she says, "All right, Doc, I'm going to be…" What was your designation? It was M07. M07. All right, M07. I'm going to be heading off to the meeting. I want you to continue tests, and, um, I guess just tidy up, there's not much left to do today. Yes, of course, Dr. I would be more than happy to assist with that. She like puts an arm like on, like, the, the, like, your front plating. Mm-hmm. All right. Well, I appreciate your work, and I thank you. Thank you, Dr. And may I say, it has been an absolute pleasure working with you recently. Uh, you see, she, uh, a single tear kind of comes down a little bit and she goes, "Of course. It always is. M07. All right. Stay safe. Okay? Uh, nope. She's never said stay safe. Yeah. You've always been like, "Yes, of course, Dr." And, uh, she leaves, and you notice that more staff are leaving an hour later as people are leaving. You're the only one left besides some testing animals that are in the build. In the laboratory. Um, you hear bomb sirens begin. Oh, dear. And you hear the protocols for the lab going to lockdown, and you hear, like, the, the, uh, nuclear plating, protective plating goes over to protect the laboratory. And you get a, uh, transmission from Dr. Sondra, oh, no. M07, um, I'm not going to make it any better, but I'm specific to the world to me. I'm pretty sure you'll be safe. Oh, I'm sorry. Thank you, Dr. And I begin cleaning. Uh, and then the camera just sees, like, a time lapse of, like, a hundred years. Of you just, fast cleaning different spots, keeping everything relatively nice. Hello, and welcome to Grimmon counters, a fall out 2d 20, can't be sci-fi, actual play podcast set in the lovely, radiated, post-apocalyptic world of Chicago. Ah, my name is nort. I'll be your overseer for today. And with me is Robert playing Damon, the speed demon manifold. Derek's playing doc chrome and on a plane, brother, Samson attention. People, patron members and spoopies who are in the discord. We have a, another monthly movie night coming up. It is today, timbre 13th, Friday the 13th at 7pm Central Daylight Time. We are hosting a Wesley's September movie night we're watching Mad Max Fury Road that was voted on by the patrons. So be sure to be there. And if you want to get on the movie night and you're not in the discord, you just have to join the Patreon at any paid tier and you will get access to the discord. Come on in, enjoy the show and come hang out with me and several other cast members as we live watch the movie together, so bye. And last we left off, we left in some crazy stuff, but before we get into that, we had a couple little, little things to talk about, a little reviews, you would say. We had on one of our episodes, we had on Spotify, someone left us a comment. Their name is for Rambo, Pitha, Ph and they said tis very good. Thank you. Tis appreciated, it's much appreciated. They also said on another episode, we're a little backlogged on these guys. For Rambo says, I absolutely love these episodes of you explaining the lore of the creatures you're fighting with Robert, they're just so, they're just seemingly genuinely interested. It's always fun to listen to. I believe it was on one of those deep dive episodes we did, it was being you. Those were really fun. We can do more of those. Get to learn all kinds of stuff. It was scary. Monsters are like wild. Did we only have like two of them? You haven't even done like maybe one of them. We only did vampirs and the lichen, it would wear, yeah. We might have one on a dead two, I can't remember. We have some more Spotify stuff, but I'm going to save them for another episode. But we did get an Apple rating, what a five star, I know it's been a while, because Spotify has just been taking the game over. BG123eclamation point says, so campy, it's intense he he. And they just said, in all caps, how are you not listening? Okay. I'm assuming they were screaming. Yeah, makes sense. Thank you so much. If you guys want us to review, and we still have some other Spotify from lovely people like silly guy and Mike that we will review and go over next episode. But if you want to, you know, leave us some feedback and give us some five stars, which helps out more than you know, gets us pushed into people's faces and they can enjoy the camp with us. Leave us a review on Apple podcasts and write a review with it on on Spotify, leave us a five star and then leave us a comment on whatever episode I check it a couple of times a week. So we just we record monthly, so sometimes we get a little behind, but that is a good thing. And that just means we have more people to say how cool you are. So for rainbow and BG123eclamation point, I send two to three firm handshakes or kisses, whatever, whichever one you wish to have. There you go. Or a gentle wave. If you don't want that. Yeah. If there's no, if there's no contact. Yeah. Yeah. Don't know. Thank you. It's like headbobs. Yes. It is good. If you don't want me to recognize your existence, I will just, I will, I will pat the wall three times where you can see and that's, that's equivalent. So. Right. Cristina. Yep. She don't know. She don't know. Shit. She don't know. Hey, man. I didn't say that. I just say she don't know. And this isn't going to come out during pride month, but happy pride. It's pride month right now. Let me check the future radiation printer. Oh my God. The recap is with Mavis. What? I guess we'll tell it to it. All right, well, thanks for coming to our another weekly game night, everyone. It's good to see you. It sees we have a little decent crowd out there. Um, let's see. There's like three people that are listening and like they're just because they're hanging out with them where you guys are at just having to be in the same room. Yeah. Oh, okay. audience. Okay. Well, who wishes to do the recap? I believe it is Mavis's turn. I don't mean to put this on you, but it is your turn, so why would you ask who wanted to do it? If you're just going to have me do it because I'm bad at talking to people. Okay. Time issue, it's not an issue, I just, I just, I don't know, it was a little contradictory to all the confidence I was building was just crushed. So I appreciate that and what way I feel like I feel like at this point, it's on you because it is fine. It is. That's the issue. Okay. That's the issue. I'm very sorry. Well, I mean, maybe sketching a little point with with Morris. You see, he just like almost starts to cry. Whoa. All right, baby, please, thank you. Shrinking behind his large. He's already too small for the DM screen and he's just even just like slinking behind it. Great. Now I'm the bad guy. Well, he slinks deeper because that's not what he meant. You were the one that was mean though, so I do. Why did you think you could get away with saying that to him? That wasn't what. Get away with what? Oh my god. Just please do the recap. Stop. Okay, we went to the, the, the hospital to get medicine, but there wasn't medicine. It was just ghouls and we saw the pizza guide cannibals. You got like seven pieces of cams. What do you mean? I mean, we did get medicine, but like also full of ghouls. I know. Oh yeah. Is that all you did? I mean, I think so. All right. I mean, the ghouls took a really long time. So why is it because you guys all separated? And we don't really know each other yet. So I mean, I'm trying here. Also cover more ground. I really just don't understand why as a robot, I would, I would want to like be with them right now. I don't know. I don't get it. Just go with it. It's fine. Fine. Like an orangutan. Huh. You were like an orangutan? What the fuck do you mean? What do you mean? Yeah, I know. Like what does that mean? Seriously explain that. He's like a, he's like an orangutan. You know, they say that like, what is it? Chimps will tear you apart because they are territorial and orangutans will tear you apart because they're curious. Okay. Who's they? I also want to know who that is. Monkey experts. Crymatologist. It somehow sounds labor than just monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey, monkey guys. You're about half at the halfway mark, by the way, for your journey here. After about a another three hours passes, it is about two or three p.m. Let's just say the sun is high in the sky. It is sweltering down on you guys. I don't think I think the only person who notices that would probably be brother Samson. Damon would definitely feel it, but it's like almost like it feels healing. Feels good. You guys have enough water to probably push through the rest of the day as a caravan, but it is it's getting low just because it's it's really hot right now, it being the start of spring and radiation. Thankfully, at the five hour mark, you guys come across a little trade, a little station to trade and eat food set in an old hotel and you guys know officially that you see one of those signs where you get officially into a place where it says welcome to to the town and it says welcome to Chicago spray painting spray painted over the old sign that has been well worn away and you see a little little place to stay and eat named it's come and go with a sea instead of a cave like the gas station come and go I just don't want to get sued by coming home yes, you see a couple couple cars parked out front and you know, like a couple carriages and stuff and you see a little bustling trade depot. Damon, do you know you've definitely probably been here before? This is just the last stop before you get into the city proper that people usually like stay and get invited to eat. So what do you guys do? Do you guys stop or do you just push on through? Up to you. You guys want to stop? I'm just looking through my stuff to see if there's anything worth like maybe selling off here. It is possible. I would also like to look for possible upgrades. I mean, I'm always kind of looking for a few things too. I do not have very many things to sell. Oh, well, I mean, you got some caps on you? A very small amount. Well, I mean, we can at least go see what they got and see what you can afford. Perhaps this is a good idea. You down, bro? Yeah, I'm a little thirsty. He's looking cenched. You do in fact. Look parched. And he's still pretty highly radiated from the last bite, but it's like seeing God. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Just a little thirsty. Cotton mouthy. Can't technically can't you just like beat shit to get your radiation? Yeah. Oh, you can? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I expel radiation out of me when I do melee attacks. I mean, that's that's their traits to beat a child about him. Yep. I knew this because I'm still hurt, technically, because we didn't get our HP back to me. Mm-hmm. We haven't. Because. That was healing work. We have to rest for a amount of time. And then we make a roll for it. Unless you just you can do stim packs if you want it, but we'd have to actually use them and those are kind of more of like an emergency. The only thing is she still does melee damage with the ready. It's like extra damage. So she'd be hitting you. Right. And then, ah, oh, yeah, I mean, if you guys rest an hour here, I'm cool with we can roll like a like a D six and see if we get any health back or something. Okay. Fine with that. Take a little. We'll do like a short rest thing. I don't know. It's, um, hold on. How do you know exactly what it is? You can use the first aid action to heal a character's health. Oh, that's in combat. Sorry. In combat. Out of combat. Rest. Food and drink. Or how you go about doing it and then medical attention. So this is the one that I have a single character can provide medical attention for a number of patients equal to their medicine rating. So five for me. And then it's in assists on the endurance survival test at the end of the day. And I get to use my intelligence medicine as a target. Yeah. I don't care because it's going to just make it so that you guys get to roll to see if you get, you regain actually regain health, basically. I got two successes. Oh, yeah. So that's one. So one of you can take the additional lower, basically you can't fail when I'm helping you guys. Okay. So, and then what, I'm sorry. What am I rolling? Now then you would roll endurance plus survival with the difficulty of one, but like, because I'm helping you, you automatically pass. Because if I, right, in helping you, you can't, you basically can't fail. Okay. Cool. Test increases by one for every injury that you guys have, but you guys don't have any injuries. So you're fine. So it's just one. If you succeed, you may recover from one of those injuries plus an additional, an additional injury for every two, the two AP. You may regain HP, you regain all HP after six hours or eight hours. So you get, you get two HP back for every successful one of these we do, unless we rest for basically, we take a long, like a short one, you can get up to two and then eliminate injuries. And if you want all of it back, you have to eat or we have to like do the long rest piece. So I'll say we eat and just just eat then. Yeah. Yeah. Eat. Do the healing. So I get two back for healing. Two for, yep, for that. And then we'll do yours. One success. So just get the one, we got a three and then same thing too. And then if you have any injuries, I'll end up eating that. Just for listeners, we're going to roughly do food and water because chain doesn't. I don't require it at all. And unless they're like trapped somewhere, we're just going to, it'll be more for like narrative. I'm almost full of it. So like just off camera, I'll be like, Oh, subtract. Yes. Some money for food just because, okay, so as you guys come here and you're taking a second and you're eating stuff out of your pack before you head into like the little, there's like a shop area, you see several people walk out, Damon, you recognize them, they're from your family, maybe not someone you're too close with, but definitely some initiates. You see headrest and bracket come out. One is a generation two cent full. I mean, they have like exposed wiring and stuff like they're pretty, they're pretty old. They come out and the next that's bracket and then headrest comes out. She's just this kind of like very old. She was a raider that has joined to have a better life with the vehicular heathens and they come out and you know, you recognize that there was a car here that you know, one of your chrome chariots, but you weren't sure who and you say they come out and they don't notice you at first and they begin to walk towards their vehicle. Bracket. What was the other name of the first headrest headrest? Yeah, I almost said headlight and I was like, that doesn't sound funny, but if I don't like them and they just call it, that would be funny. Dude, it reminds me of cars when they call light new McQueen stickers because his headlights are stickers. Yeah. What are stickers? Yeah. Okay. Well, demons going to call out to them like bracket, headrest, you see, they like whip their heads around at you and they like, like look, cover their eyes with something go. Damon? Is that you? Yeah. What? What you doing out here? Where's your? Where's oil pan? Yeah. He didn't make it. Oh, yeah, he didn't make it back. You see, they, they, they both like undo a flask and pour a little bit out. Damon, like not his head and appreciation. Mm hmm. Good job. He, he did what he could, but, you know, did the way of the road, did the, because you guys were on a run and with the north side of the day, was that the name of the guy and true? I think. Is that what I remember? I don't remember. He's dead now. So I raced his memory. He's dead. It was the north side game. Yeah. It was like Anthony or something, but you kept calling him Andrew or something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He wasn't like that. It's even better. Um, yeah, we just, uh, yeah, we got chased out and car flipped and we ended up taking them out and I've met up with these people. Oh, well, hello. These ones. Hi. Oh, I know that you are not a goal if you switch one, do you say that the one that's not a goal? Yeah. The human. Yeah. She goes, uh, yeah, not a goal. Hey, uh, robot. I am known as doc Rome. Oh, it's good. You look like you may have possible infections. Probably. Yeah. I would suggest antibiotics. However, I don't believe in any of that. No. No, I'm not concerning. She's just like, it just takes a dirty hand and like sticks in her ear, itches her ear. Nah, it is, you know, my mom always said the more, the more dirty the better you are. This is a false statement, especially now my mom will lie. Okay. Okay. It starts, uh, even starts pushing doc Chrome off to the side. Just okay. All right. There's a brother, uh, by the Sam, here I go. Yeah. I, I eat dirt sometimes too. My mom, we yelled at me for though, but you know, my sister said it was fine. Okay. You see the, uh, the, the generation two synth looks over to you and like you see one of their eyes is an operational and he's like, that means that they're like, that's, that, that, that interesting thing. They're not from the local, local branch, uh, local branch, uh, Adam, uh, no, there's a local branch that devoted, get, get, get, get affirmative. Oh, you see, they smile, but it's like, not good. Could you tell me where they are? I think that's what I'm looking for towards like where the, the lake used to be. Oh. Okay. Yeah. No, I'll, I'll probably head there next. Of course, of course, uh, Damon, I'm, uh, sir, we are going to go in and form her. Do they call you certain not supposed to do that? Not supposed to call you sir. No, I'm, well, I, yeah, but it dropped the sir. Obviously. Oh, come on. Sorry. Sorry. We're, we're like, I would say the same level, but we're not. I mean, obviously he's a little lower, but yeah, I'm a higher, but it's not that high. Sorry. It is hard to hold habits. I understand, um, well, well, what are you guys doing here? Why did you eat fair enough? Well, I mean, what do you guys up to that? Patrol, you're on a patrol and, uh, and it's in my, I mean, that's always good. Uh, I think I would do a little, uh, shopping around. You guys might've given us a right back. They just have a cut to cedar. Let's see. It'll look. Oh. Hmm. All right, well, where are you heading? You see then, uh, headrest takes over, like puts a hand on brackets, older, you see, they're having a little trouble, uh, their operating system has been on the fritz for the past 40 years. Uh, it was good when you first met them. Right. Um, slowly slipping. There's no one that can fix since in your camp, um, and, uh, headrest, she speaks up. And where, where you, you hadn't, where you taking, uh, the, the steps to point into the followers. Well, I mean, obviously brother Sam over there wants to go check out the leg doc from home. I don't know what he's up to. I am interested in expanding my medical knowledge. Oh, there you go. It is possible. I may be able to assist with your issues, such as your eye. You see, uh, there's like, um, you see, like whatever the, like, basic level of, like, emotional regulation that is put into the gen two since like they light up a little bit. And that would be lovely, but we would need to, I would need to be at my station first. Of course. Yeah. I mean, that's what you want to, I want to get back to, you know, back to base, back to home. Uh, well, you're probably taking them to the, to the heart. That's where the followers base is. Yeah. You can have one of the, one of the low, lowly initiatives drive your car there, if you wish. Oh, that's a good call. Good call. Yes. And you know what? I'm going to put in a good wreck for you. I like, I like your thinking. You see, she, she smiles missing all of her teeth and the one she does have her made out of metal. It definitely affected one that is like part of a spark plug. You see, they hop, they, they, they hop both of them hop into the car and they speed off just the loudest, like a lot of the time, a lot of the initiatives will just remove the muffler. So it's even more loud. You know, that's stupid because you, what, what if you need to be quiet? Right. You know, kids these days, these, these, these, this is about an old woman in a robot. These fucking Gen Ws. Okay. Well, you guys go into the little shops here, you see it's just about one or two people. One of them looks like it's like they look that they have some general goods and they probably sell like the rooms around here. And then you see another person who has, um, at like the bar and they see, you see food being passed to people and there's like waiters and stuff. Very grimy, very done. She very at home for, uh, I guess Sam and Damon, this is a very, it feels like home. Yeah. Very little homey establishment for the wastes. Um, you see, they got, they had, they had gotten an eight, an old AC unit working. So it's actually kind of cool in here, which is nice. Um, yeah, which one, what do you guys do here? There's, which person do you want to talk to? Uh, Damon is probably going to go to all of them. Okay. Um, he's inquiring about, uh, car magazines. Oh, okay. Let's see. I feel like he's done this before here, you know, just every so often he'll pop it and just see if anybody's picked up anything. You come up and, uh, the merchant, um, James McAvoy, uh, that's an actor. Isn't it? Yes, it is. Just. McAvoy James is his name, good. Just a very, uh, normal looking human, uh, pale complexion, uh, missing an ear from a, from a shoot out that happened here years ago. Uh, he goes, ah, Damon, welcome, yo, what up, uh, gotten the end today or any time recently? Ah, the only one we got is we got, uh, uh, I have a merchant generator here and it rolls on the basic tables. I'm still kind of updating it with the newer stuff. Um, but it has the only magazine he throws on the counters. It's true police stories is all I got today. Yeah, not really, not really going to go from my collection. I've been keeping an eye out. I mean, if I, if I want to keep it to the side, but right, right, just hoping to find one. What we get here is, uh, you know, random general good stuff. I, I get it. I still got to ask. Yeah. But don't ask. I won't know. Yeah. Um, did you want to see what else we had here? I mean, we got, uh, I got, I got this deluxe toolkit in, uh, we got some flashlights, a Geiger counter, uh, we actually got a pack prominent in, I don't, for sale. Someone just died, so I inherited it. I got a big backpack, uh, first aid kit, all the tape player, lock pick sets, multi tools, radio, signal player, torches, I got some bobby pins with, uh, what you're looking for. Anything. I got a double check and see what other stuff I have to do here. I can say have bobby pins would be good. We also have a lot of stuff to sell. Didn't, yeah. Yeah. That's kind of what I was. I mean, I got 12 bobby pins at the moment. I have two. Oh, I have two old soon. I got 12. I'm good on Bobby. Here is what this store has, um, they has all of that ammo, except minus the, uh, the surrender stuff, just because there's no reason for this place to have those. Did you? Oh, there it is. And ammunition. So if your gun uses an ammunition that's not on here, let me know. And I will just, I will, I think you shall use, I should sell and you use game around. So, yeah. You need fusion cells? I do. They're so expensive though. They are, but that's okay. And they only have three of them. Yeah. Thankfully, it's not like the game. You don't use as much ammunition as you do in the video games. What I do with, uh, common crafting materials. That's used for crafting. Great. We all don't have, yeah, we don't have very many. Well, I mean, you have more than both of us combined, but I am not buying. Tell me, tell me what your zone. Okay. Let's go with the road leathers. Okay. Leather, a sack hood. Uh, okay. So I got three pipe guns and three tire irons. I think it's just, that should just be that stuff. Oh, okay. So what, if you do the barter, if you're just selling, you're just getting fourth of the value, unless it's something, yeah, crazy, do haggle, make a charisma, plus barter or post test. If you succeed, the price becomes 10% more favorable to you. If you succeed and spend two AP, the price instead becomes 20%. This is involving you, so. And I mean, unless you're, you're going to do it who's, who's bartering, dabby you. Yes. Okay. I'm bad at bartering. Alright. Okay. So before the barter, you're going to get 48 caps for that stuff. Okay. If you want a barter, we need to make a charisma barter check, and it's an opposed test. So it's basically, you know, whoever has more successes, I'm assuming. You can use AP to make it easier for you, by the way. Yeah. Okay. Let's do that. Yeah. I got one success. Oh, I got zero successes, but I'm going to use my smooth talker and one AP point. Okay. Okay. One success. Alright. I'm just going to say, what do you say? How about we determine on how you borrow? What do you say as role play to persuade them on telling you more? Yeah. We have all this stuff here. I see that you don't have any of it. That is true, young man. Well, but this here is extra special stuff. You see, right here, we got this thing. See this thing, this is extra special, because you know what? You can put it on like this, and he puts it on like a normal jacket, and it'll keep you warm. Or you can put it on like this, and he puts his legs through the holes. And he's like, and it's emergency pants. And then it's also very shiny. You see, he looks at you just some open mouth, like in same person, and then looks to you and goes, Damon's also looking at her looking at him the same way. You know what, that fair, fair. Okay. Okay. I'll give you 53 caps for the whole lot. How about that? We'll take it. That works. Yes. Well, I didn't get to tell you about this thing. He wants it. He's good. You convinced me, young man, thank you. You can assist me with my transaction as well. Oh, yes. I'd love to do that. Brother Sam. How can I hoop? I have these things. They are useless to me. What is it? The dog armor and spike armor. Okay. Hello, sir, I've got more things. Okay. So Sam has the stuff. He goes, let me show you these things now. Then he puts on the raider chest. He goes, oh no, I like this. I'm keeping this one. It's just like a piece of hardened leather, it's not even. Let me show you this thing. So this thing is a, you put it on a dog, you know what, do you know what a rad roach is? Yeah. What do you, yeah, of course I do, what are you talking about? So when you decide that there's a rad roach and you like it and you don't want to eat it, you can always put this on the on the rad roach too. You can get them a little collar. That is not a dog. I don't think it'll fit the same, but it works on a dog, not a roach. I don't know what a dog looks like. Well, if I see one, I'll point it out to you, okay? Okay. Okay. But you could also, also you could put it on your arm like this. So that, that thing, that's nice and cool. Then we got this spike armor. It's got spikes on it. That way if something tries to bite you, it'll hurt their mouth real bad. And then if it was winter time and it was very cold, you could roll around and all the dead leaves and it'll be like a, a camouflage and it'll keep you warmer because you got leaves on you. Okay. So this is a big trick. Charisma barter, please. He rolled a critical success. So he has two successes. It's 10%. It's not like that much. Oh my God. I rolled two successes. Okay. Oh, yeah. So he gives you one extra cap. It's so small. Look, I need all these caps. Okay. You guys are also level two. So it doesn't make sense. Every cap counts. Come on. So yeah, he goes. And caps for both of them. Oh, hands it off to you. There you go. All right. I hit the caps back to dock. Thanks. Got that. Nice. Nice. Spike armor and dog armor. And then you took the arm. Yes. Did you want any of the stuff I have here? You see, he just has like an itemized list in front of you guys. Yes. I'm just going to take pictures. There's like ammo. He has general goods. He doesn't really have any weapons or anything. And the other person has the food. It lists junk here. Sam picks one up. What is this? It looks like an old piece or something. What's it for? I will roll on the goddamn junk table. Hold on. What is that? A bird? A plane? No, that's a new D&D podcast called afterlife. In afterlife, we follow four strangers as they're tasked by death to go into the world of the infinite domain and find and defeat their pillars. Not enough about the general story. Let's meet our strangers. Hi, my name is Erin Rache and I play Ophelia Afton. That was how the key fell out of his prison wallet and to you. How did he hold his prison wallet? You don't? No pocket. That's exactly how he held his prison wallet. Oh shit. My name is Tyler Waddell and I play Lucas Gray. What are you guys at? I'm at 86. 79. 78. Oh, we're right there. We're good. We're still bigger than all you. Can I kill Lucas? Sacrifice. Can I strike Lucas? Hi, I'm Raven Reed and I play Ariana Ren. He said, oh, he's talking. Come and go. Shoot and scoot. He's ejaculate. Henny backuate. Hello, my name is Vikandelis Harrison and I play Fendalto Pendleton. I'm going to scream your soul is full of fate and I'm going to use this like it almost looks like a hammer of dawn just smites him into the ground and yanks him into the ground pulling him piece by piece. He's so fucking edgy. Literally. And myself, Burden Gifford, as the DM, that man has finally came back and has taken the body of Azrael. Rep just what? You said came. Oh my God, Jesus. I told you it was going to happen every time. I'm not ready to go. I'm not ready to leave. I need answers for this pain, for the struggle, for the strife. Please let me know. Peace is all I need till then. I'm a push. I'm a fool. I'm a fight. Where ever I go. My destiny gets better. I'm not ready to leave. I need answers for this pain, for the struggle, for the strife. Please let me know. Peace is all I need till then. I'm a push. I'm a fool. I'm a fight. My destiny gets near. I'll do whatever it takes. I'll pay whatever's the price. Check out the link in the description and enter grim encounters at checkout. Hope you all have a great day and stay spooked out there. Is that all I have to read? Right on. Yeah, brother, you did great, man. Yeah, everybody. It's TJ Tawny Todd. Uh-huh. What do you mean? I said I need more caps. No, you all need more caps. It's okay. I really think I want. It's the one table I don't have on my spreadsheet, 'cause that's okay. Why would I ever need to do that? I don't luxe toolkits. Who's gonna ask for that? Say him. I guess. That is correct. The thing you're holding is a metal ingot. It's 10 copper. Cost about 300 caps. I had a roll on here. It changes the price. Yeah. Okay. What's this other thing? Uh, yeah, that's, that's, uh, just like an empty blood pack. Just be one cap for that guy. I will take these fusion cells. Oh, four. Five, please. All right, 15 caps for that, thank you. Would you want the ingot or the blood pack? No, I was just curious. Oh, okay. Yeah. I've had that guy for a long time, just chilling here. The blood pack? The ingot. Oh, yeah. The ingot, as they say. I don't know what you'd even use it for. It's 80 or something up for a pillow. That's true. Hey, brother Sam, you ever had an ingot? Did I ever eat one? No. You ain't got these nuts in your mouth? Oh, fucking guy, you dude. She's devastated. You look at her, she's devastated. She's fucking devastated, brother. I don't think the ingots got nuts on it. I don't even think it's alive. Oh, do you guys buy food? What are you doing? I do not buy any food. Okay. Sorry. Can I get some of these metal things? The bobby pins? Yeah, that's cool. And just whatever the price was for them, I think they were one. Yeah. And one. Can I get three of them? You want three of them? I have some. How about this? Give me two caps and I'll give you three of them. Okay. Okay. Now, I want to buy the radio. All right, 75. 75. That's all my caps. Okay. There's just 75. Jesus frame, right? I didn't know. What does the radio even do? I don't know. I'll tell you. It does something. It's functional. I mean, I guess you could listen bluster to kids radio. Yeah. Can I smell any of these foods? You can just smell them. Yeah. Which ones do you try to smell? You actually see there's actually a few things that are on that list that are on that menu. You see a Nuka grape, for 40 caps, you see a little thing, a powdered coffee. You do see there's they're serving hot coffee and you also see they have one of those old timey glizzy rollers. They're selling glizzies. You've never had a glizzy. I never had one. I think the boys in here, they're selling glizzy Chicago glizzies. Can't eat those. No Chicago style right now, but they do have no Chicago style right now, but they do got regular glizzies. I already ate earlier. I don't want it to go to bad and so I mean, no, that thing spinning around. What kind of wiener is that? That's a glizzy. It's a glizzy. Yeah. You see, you look kind of animals at. Yeah. All of them. Brother Sam, you don't ask questions about the crazy. You just eat them. The whole thing we can guarantee you ain't no human in them. Okay. Well, how much does that one time where, I mean, there was Sydney. Yeah, she lost a finger and we just kind of fell in the grinder and we just left. Everybody loses a finger sometimes. Accidents happen. You see Sydney welcome. Yeah, grew back and she lifts her hand and it's grown out of the wrong side of her hand. Will you please let me look at your hand now, please, please, no, I don't like doctors. I am not a doctor. All a, just a shit or charisma, I guess a charisma. Shit, a charisma speech. Well, I roll a 20, so a critical failure. Yeah, no, and she pulls a dead knife out. Not like to hate you, but she said no. Very well. I'm sad. Well, I'm all done here. It was nice seeing you again and hopefully you'll find some stuff and we'll catch you later. Hell yeah. Did you want to buy any food, Kristina? You're looking at me like you want to. Yes. Uh, let's see. Uh, I'll buy one of the things. Glizzy's. Yeah, they have eight of them, so. Bang. They're 19 caps. That's a lot of money. I never had one before. I don't want to wear that every cap. Roll me a, uh, barter charisma here and let's see how I'm not going to roll. Let's just see how sad that is because we're in the Midwest, so you do know they like to pay people. Okay. That's too. Is it meat speeds or what? Meat speeds. Cheese successes. How much caps you got? 31. How about this? You give me four. Four caps. I'll give you one of the ones I'm about to throw out because it's getting old. Okay. And yeah, he hands you this like well done, glizzy. And they don't look like normal like glizzy's like from modern day. Yeah. They're very like bumpy and like they're different colors. Like definitely irradiated one. I do not advise eating that to see people in the store. You just chowing down and I'm all over the restaurant. Three. Four. Yeah. You see there's condiments here? They don't have ketchup. So I'm sorry. You don't put ketchup on a glizzy in Chicago. That's true. Yeah. So, uh, food doesn't necessarily spoil in this game. So you can just kind of put it in your book. Yeah. Yeah. There's a place to refill your water to your cantines. It's just a gold and it refills it. A project purity has made it to Chicago. So water, you really, water is relatively cheap. You basically, they basically just charged to maintain the purifiers and shit. So yeah, which that's from fall three people don't know. That's what you and Liam Neeson do. Right. Which is your dad? Who Neeson's my dad? Yeah, that gave Liam Neeson's your dad. Yeah. It's so funny. He's not even doing a voice either. He's just doing Liam Neeson. It's really great when you get stolen from him. There's like a whole mad quest line. There's a little, I have a screech out of him. If you're like, do you like a bad karma where he's like, I am the most disappointed in you. That's my favorite Liam Neeson is disappointed in me. Guys have your food and you're ready to move off. As you guys are traveling, do you guys talk to each other at all or do you just keep going? I mean, I'm fine with talking with you. Okay. As you guys, you're officially in Chicago now. You see, you're coming up on one of the, the interstate, that one of the intercepts that comes into Chicago. You see the skyline. It is honestly kind of breathtaking. Just in general, like there's some pretty tall buildings. You see numerous, see, numerous ones are like, you know, broken. Lots of the windows are broken. The Willis Tower is still standing surprisingly. A lot of the spikes at the top have fallen off. There is kind of a sizable chunk taken out of side of the building. It doesn't look like from a nuclear warhead looks like just from some explosive. As you're making your way through the road, cars are passing you on the other side. Not like a lot, but it's, it's a, it's a lot for you guys, but you also, you get a peek again of that like plant wall that is on the north, the northern side of Chicago. And as you're close, the closer you get, you do notice it is moving, like it is not like moving fast, but it's definitely writhing, like it's like a bunch of katsu or something. As you guys, after a few hours, you guys come across the Chicago museum of science industry. So you're officially inside of Chicago now. Exciting kind of, because as you, as you pass it, it is currently being occupied by a bunch of people in what Doc Chrome and Damon recognize as power armor, but it doesn't look like the power armor you saw in the old pre-war ads. It is like T-51 armor and stuff, but it is like painted this like, like tan color. As in Damon, you know, this is the Midwest chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. They are not necessarily openly hostile to ghouls, but they do not like interacting with them. They don't kill them unless they're feral, but they're always like, they're like, always got their hands on their blasters every time they're around you. But you know, they're not all bad people, but they're definitely very, they're a little xenophobic, but they have worked closely with the vehicular heathens and the outfit on keeping the city safe, because they are an offshoot of the Washington, the DC branch of steel. So yeah, there are two people up front. These ones are wearing T-60 power armor, and they're both wielding plasma rifles. And they kind of just like, as you guys are driving by, you see they just kind of watch you. So, you guys are welcome to approach them if you wish, but they are not openly hostile. They seem to be doing something they'd always looking for toasters or some shit. Do you guys say the thing to each other as you pass, or? You've never seen Brotherhood of Steel before. You've heard about them, but you've never seen them before. Sam. Those are some big robots. Oh, that's a robot. They are not. That is power armor. Yeah, that's the Brotherhood of Steel. Oh. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Perhaps you would enjoy saying hello. Mmm. I don't know about that. Yeah. I might. Hey. Morning. Oh. Do you like walk up to them? Yeah. Okay. You see, they have their rifles out, and they just kind of not aim them at you, but like aim them at the ground, like kind of forwards, and they go, "Great, exist." And it's like modulated, like it's coming out of like a voice box. I don't know how to approach. They look at each other. What y'all do it? Well, that's fun. You looking for something? Not as fast as the answers. Oh, I was going to say, "I couldn't have probably helped you, but I'm good at fighting stuff sometimes." You see coming out of the door, you see a not-empower armor. You see a demo, this is an officer of a brotherhood of Steel. Not necessarily like super high up, but like, and he comes out and he goes, "Night Tanner, we have not discovered the artifact we are heading out." And you see he, "Night Tanner, presumably, turns him and goes, "I'll save you, Remy." And you see that Remy looks over to you guys, citizens, and then notices you, and he gets this like, disgust on his face for a second. Can we be of assistance? Are you in trouble? No. Please carry on, and then he like dismisses. Oh, ducky. Can you roll me a perception survival? I've got two successes. I've got two failures. I've got a real bad failure and another failure. Oh, a critical failure? Okay. Real bad failure. I'm not going to have a complication happen, this is just to hear. You hear, just Doc Chrome, you hear "Night Tanner" say to the officer, something under his breath, he like, says it quietly, like, out, not, like, not using his modulation speaker. You still hear it. He's like, "Ah, darn cool." And you hear him clench his rifle, like you hear the padding, like he's squeezing it a little too hard, and you see Remy say, "Not now, wait until he goes feral." So that's what you hear. Very interesting. That seems very, uh, uncool. Those guys were nice. I don't say anything at all. Yes. They don't like me or my kind. Why not? Because of what I am. Which is a cool one. You hear it, your father. A highly evolutionized human being. This is what the future is like for everybody. See, I'm glad you seem to think so, but they don't. They just want me and everyone, anyone like me dead. Well, you know, how do you know they don't look like you underneath there? They're obviously hiding. You saw the-- did they all have helmets on? The knights did, but Remy didn't. He just had, like, an officer's cap on. That's because they're all not ghouls. They don't like ghouls. I like ghouls. I like ghouls, too. You hear Andrea speak so. Most of the time, me, too. And she, like, guys stop, so she, like, the caravan went ahead a little bit and then realized you guys weren't following you. She approaches you guys. What's going on? My brother, Sam, wanted to have a nice little chit chat with the freaking brotherhood over there. I was saying, Damon's just going to keep walking. They were nice, but Damon doesn't think they like him. They do not. They-- no, the brotherhood-- thankfully, this chapter is-- they were going to shoot him. This chapter is a little bit more lenient when it comes to mutated humans that are functional. She says, like, she says it with disgust like it's a word they use, you know what I mean? They believe that any mutation to humanity is negative, which is silly because mutations have been a part of human history for ever, but religious zealots. What are we going to do, Sam? I know. Those zealots, right? Nels and, like, looks at Chrome and, like, as the irony has just been lost. I understand what you are implying. But, you know, yes, we would-- might want to stay away from them unless they're not necessarily dangerous. They are-- they do mean well, but everyone has their idea on how to save anything, so. Will. All right, Sam, let's go. We're almost to the heart. We're about a few hours away. So let's go. Hopefully, we don't run into any trouble. Um, as-- They didn't find what they were looking for, so maybe once they're gone we could go back. You do know they're not very good at, like, they're good at finding, like, tech, but anything else they, like, usually do not give a shit unless it's, like, stim-backs or something. They were looking for art-- 100% not what they were looking for. Like, I don't-- that's right, but, okay. Art. Yeah. The art-- the art-- Is it an art? Is it an art? It's an art place. The art refract? Wait. What? There's-- That was not an art museum. They, like-- they said, they were looking for the art refract. Just put it together, what you're saying. You used silly lady. Um, after another hour or two, you come to a-- like, a-- one of those, like, what you'd see in, like, old-timey fantasy games, like a-- like a pole, and there's, like, a sign's pointing you to different places. Um, and you see, uh, pointing east, it says to the bean, and, uh, to the west to the heart. Um, so you guys-- the caravan heads west, um, and you guys know you're about an hour's walk from the heart. So. Wonderful. We can begin experimenting in earnest. Uh-huh. Do not worry. Uh-huh. What experiments? I have been conducting experiments at night while you are sleeping. On me? No. On me? Yes. What? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. That feels kind of like you're, uh, violating me? No. You gave me permission when we first met to administer medical procedures. When I'm conscious. Can we-- can we put that in there? When I'm conscious? Oh. Maybe ask? I did. More than once. Oh. Each time? I see. What did I get myself into? Very well. As you approach the city limits, you come to a giant gate over the road in multiple centuries standing at the top that are all wearing clean white suits. Uh, they yell down, "Hey, stage your business strangers." Yeah, you guys see this gate is in the middle of a street and it connects to the sides of two buildings, like two, like, ten-story tall buildings. And it is in, like, the dead center of Chicago. And you know, there's two gates into the heart. There's one here and then there's one on the north side that, you know, leads to that part of the city. And like, this is, like, a 10-foot wall. This gate is huge. And there are centuries standing up with Tommy guns pointing down at you guys. They're not like aiming threateningly, they're just, they're sentries. And you know, these are members of the outfit are the Alfonso gang, depending on who you're talking to. They're a positive it on the city. They started out as a Raider gang, but they have fully realized that if they help people they can actually make more money. So they have, uh, putting a shot and you know, they just, they just talked to every visitor before they come in. So you just, though, this is protocol. There's nothing weird. Yeah. Um, you don't recognize these two, though, so, uh, Hey guys, a, a, a, we're just coming through. Just bringing my bringing them through. We're friends. I am his doctor. Okay. Uh, you hear, uh, Andrea like steps next to you, Damon, and goes, just, just let us in. Come on. And you know, she like, she lives here. Like this is so tired of the bullshit, just like, God damn it. Every time and you guys know, uh, is she's like, Camden, let us in and you see Camden who like looks like a hard ass, but his name's Camden. It's like, Hey, that's what the K let them in and the door swings open. And, uh, I thought it was spelled with a K a can she's being fun. I don't know. It was being weird. As the guests, they wave you in. You see, um, that your, uh, traveling companions direct you to an old walk in clinic, uh, where a bunch of people in lab coats are walking in and out of, but the thing you notice of this place is like it is like in the again, like it's the city itself is like living and breathing inside of like three city blocks of Chicago. Um, and there's like ropes, rope bridges that lead in between different sections of the buildings. Um, and you just see like, uh, people walking around, you see various people, um, selling like, there's like glizzy carts here and there. Um, people are genuinely like smiling and like happy, like this is as close to, I wouldn't say like a paradise, but this is as close to like safety as somewhere in the wastes can have. Um, and that's thanks to just the like numerous armed guards and like white armor. And they all have like this, like really fancy, like, and Damon would know this like ballistic weaved armor, like they are not to be fucked with. Um, walking out of buildings and you see like little kids are running up to them and like, you know, you guards like picking them up with his arm and like, it's very pleasant. It kind of reminds you of how Parker was, except there's less like religious symbols everywhere. Um, but yeah, so you guys can keep heading in, uh, which would probably lead to the town center. Um, or you could go into the clinic and turn in this quest that you were doing. Let's do that. First. Um, yeah, as, uh, when you three enter the building, you see, uh, two people rush up to Andrea, uh, and sweep her into a, in a hug, um, they begin talking a little before an extremely tall man with like, spiky hair that's, uh, shaved on one side approaches you three. And he is just like, how rude of me, uh, the name is Hector Nicholas and I am in charge of this chapter of the followers of the apocalypse. I know a, I know a very dramatic name, but we are just a simple humanitarian organization that was formed in new California about 30 or so years ago. Andrea tells me here, you are the sole reasons that my people made it back here. And I think that deserves a reward. And he like extends a hand out to shake each of your arms. Even the pincer. Doc, bro, I extended, Oh yeah, shaking hands, shake, shake, shake, shake, yeah. He has a, like, uh, he's a, he's like a Hispanic man. Um, he has like some like five o'clock shadow on, um, his face and, uh, he just is like all smiles and he has like a perfect set of like pearly whites, like, and he's obviously all everyone's in lab coats and stuff. You see a, uh, like a younger man comes up and hands you guys a parcel. And in that parcel, there's three STEM packs, a robot repair kit and 30 caps. Okay. Um, so you each get 10 caps. I'll thank the 10 cap unless you want a STEM pack. If I use them, you guys get an extra help. If I use them on, oh, so you almost them up to you guys, like you should all, you guys should have one, but like if I use them on you, you have an edition. So I got three. I don't need. Yeah. I don't think more than three at this. I'll take one. I'd say two, why don't you take two and then you take the last one. Yeah. Yeah. If I do one, if I do it to revive you guys or as the action because of the healer one, you guys get an additional help like that, three and then the robot repair kit. That does something good. Um, scrolling across the screen, uh, you obviously the player, the characters don't see it, but you see, uh, quest complete road tripping. Yes. And you guys get 120 experience points because that was a major class plus one, 20, money. Um, that would be it's like the classic like fall out noise plays over it. So if there's any injuries or radiation we need to cure, I know that won't be a problem for you, but if there's any injuries that you need us to treat or any HP's that you need back, um, I could use a HP, it may as well. Just one, this one. I'm fully healed. Was your radiation. No. I see glowing. You see Hector goes, uh, you're glowing a little bit. You want us to get rid of that radiation or I don't feel anything. I feel great. Please take the, he like looks at you and notices all your markings on your face. I could have a juice. Oh, my apologies. I didn't know you were of from the children. Excuse me. Root of me to ask a child to remove the radiation. I mean, it's been a long day. I haven't had my coffee. Uh, does the, do you need any repairs at all? I just need one. Okay. Yeah. Just one. That, that young man comes back up and, uh, just kind of like, it's like a diluted stem pack. He gives you the to heal you up and then he just like pulls out a little soldering iron and goes, and yep, yep, yeah, we go get that one wire fixed. Well, you're welcome to stay here. If you ever need medical treatment, it's, it's half off. Um, you know, what we charge anybody else. Uh, so, you know, keep that in mind if you ever in the heart again. Uh, if you're looking for more work, um, we, uh, we have a package we need delivered to, uh, Scrapyard up in the old Swada Diamond. Uh, isn't that close? Is that close to Scrapyard's where you're from? Yeah. Mm hmm. It's like an hour or two north from you from here, north east. I'm here. It's in wiggly field. That was cool. Yeah. I mean, don't know what baseball it's in that. That's where it's. It has blood out of the diamond, but that is where it started. Mm hmm. Uh, I mean, I'm actually going up that way. Oh. Oh, hey, uh, well, okay. Well, the only thing is, uh, you can't open it. I can't tell you what's in it and it can't fall into anybody else's hands. It needs to get, uh, to, uh, is it get to your, your boss? Oh, yeah. Sure. Okay. Not a problem. Okay. Do you know where my dad might be? You see, he gets a soft expression.
