It's available across every downloadable podcast and platform. Find us on Apple to Spotify, iHeart, Samsung or Amazon Podcasts. Check out the State for Breakfast Linktree that takes you to Instagram, our latest Substack and Verified Accounts on X Gator & Truth Social. What's up everybody and welcome to the first of two big Friday editions of the show today. I'm Ron and I've got Noah here with me. As always, we've got lots of breaking news. We're still tracking the fallout from the 2024 presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. We'll bring you the latest. Donald Trump delivered remarks yesterday to supporters in Tucson, Arizona. We've got comprehensive recap, coverage and analysis. Kamala Harris also delivered remarks to supporters out in North Carolina yesterday. We've got a full recap of that as well and lots of other moving headlines that are fallen underneath the radar. But that we're captured up here by State for Breakfast. We'll get you all caught up to date. We've got a great slate of guests coming in here today as well. Former two-time assistant US Attorney General of the United States, Jeffrey Clark will be joining us. We'll catch up with the senior editor at large at Newsweek, Josh Hammer. James Blair from the Trump campaign will be here and we'll catch up with the Center for Renewing America's Wade Miller But before we get into any of our interviews, let's jump right into these headlines and change the way you consume your news. Monkey, this is not nom. This is bowling. They're a rule. America! It's like four. Bestest! So stand by! Alright everybody, welcome to the State for Breakfast podcast. I'm Rono Noah's here with me. Yo. If you're a first-time listener, welcome to the show. If you're a long-time listener, welcome back to America's Fastest Growing. And probably favorite political podcast. Busy Friday edition of the show today, first of two, after banging out a Tuesday and Wednesday edition. Earlier this week, and boy, do we still have a lot of news to talk about. It seems like people just can't get over the debate. I feel like it's kind of weird. No, I don't know what your opinion is on this. You know, Trump nearly gets assassinated. It's out of the news cycle in a week. Has a fantastic, fully galvanized base at the RNC. Comes out of that. Automatically gone because Kamala Harris is named the presumptive nominee and Joe Biden's out of the race, the Sunday following the RNC. And then we have obviously all the bullshit going on with her, which I think a lot of America is waking up to now. And yeah, people still want to talk about the debate for some reason. What are your feelings? There's people that are unsalvageable mentally, I think, just from the TDS that's been perpetuated by the media and all these pundits and pop stars and whoever else. I literally clicked on somebody's post today and then looked at the comments. And it was just the most deranged shit I've ever seen. 100% in for Kamala. Using the debate as like, "You know, after the debate, I'm 100% for Kamala." It's like, "Really?" What pivotal policy talking points did she offer that swan your phone? That doesn't matter because all they need to do is have their already cemented in opinion validated by somebody. And this big circle jerk of all these people that sit in their echo chambers online and don't see anything else. Like I know I was talking about it the other week, it's like, we have to see both sides of it. Like we have to see what both sides are saying. While they really only need to see what one side is saying because they're not looking for the information. You know, it's interesting the way it's kind of played out here. And we always try to remind our listenership, the internet isn't real. Unfortunately, even in places like X or Twitter where a lot of people thrive. And I think in this instance here, talking about the presidential election, it's going to be the Harris-Walls team that winds up learning the hard way that it's not real because, I mean, they could go out and perpetuate their nonstop 24/7 lies out the ass. I've got a couple bangers from Kamala Harris's. Again, I'm air quoting rally she didn't, North Carolina yesterday. There were just as many buses dropping people off in North Carolina at the Bojangles Center. As there was Mr. Bojangles. Yeah, people from Atlanta coming in on those buses. So very interesting to see. And I mean, even like one of the Kamala Harris aligned websites, they do like a panoramic of the stadium. Again, buses as far as the eye can see outside, people coming in from everywhere but North Carolina. For a rally in North Carolina. And then the post is Kamala Harris is addressing over 25,000 rallygoers in the Bojangles Center, which has a capacity of 8,600 people. But 1 million views, 11 billion shares, and skews the perceptive possible internet ingestor of what's real. You know, that there is something organic going on for her and I think there's absolutely nothing. So again, it's been a busy week. We've got a lot of stuff to cover. We are going to continue our commentary on the fallout from the debate as it's kind of jammed up the news cycle. I'm sure the next big thing in the history of things will unclog it and move things right along. Especially as the poll numbers haven't really moved for Kamala Harris in any way shape or form. Following the debate, which should be bringing alarm bells for just about everybody on her team. But they just continue to ignore it. We also have some remarks that were delivered yesterday in Tucson, Arizona by Donald Trump. He's in route to a press conference and I believe his Los Angeles. He's in battleground California today, home of Gavin Newscombe and Kamala Harris. Yeah, he's doing a presser there. And obviously California is not going for Donald Trump in this election cycle because of all the illegals that live here and the way the voting systems screw up. You know, I dropped my son off at the park this week for football. And I had said previously on the show, maybe two months ago, a ballot box appeared and was in the back corner of the park. The park is about two miles away from the nearest heavily traveled through way. We'll leave it at that. Well, now it's moved to front and center. So right when you pull into the park, there's like a drop off circle and then the parking lot goes left or right. And then there's fields on both sides. Right at the top of the drop off circle, there's play structures. And the ballot box is literally right there. You pull into the park and there's a huge drop off your ballot box at a park that's nowhere near anything over by my house. That doesn't sound sketchy at all. No, not at all. So it's by children's play equipment? Yes. So it's like you pull in and there's the drop off circle. Usually people with children are not going to be the ones that are voting for this nonsense, or at least you would hope. Well, remember all the free stuff illegals get out here, especially if they have kids. Yeah. I would be putting dirty diapers in there, to be completely honest with you. That's what I'd be dropping in the drop box. Probably a felony. Yeah. But again, I would just say I'm a Democrat and the laws don't apply to me, correct? Am I right? These diapers identify as ballots for Kamala. There you go. And they're probably worth exactly the same, especially in places like California. But yeah, so Donald Trump's going to be delivering some remarks. We'll throw a couple of the heaters that he delivers today on the back end of the show and tonight, which is Friday. He's going to be holding a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada. We'll have full comprehensive coverage and a recap on our Tuesday edition of the podcast. But yesterday, he was in Tucson, dropped a new policy point. No, did you hear about it? Maybe. I don't know. No tax on overtime? Oh, I did see that. Yes. I don't know about you, but that'd be good for me. You know, there was a lot of people because I shared the post on all of our social media yesterday. Apparently, people who were in the military and people who worked for the federal government are very excited about this because of the ridiculous amount of overtime that sometimes they're forced to work. Yeah. I think this would apply to a lot of other, you know, job markets as well. And when you look at not paying taxes. They're just the working class in general. I mean, everybody, like people that work on fucking elevators, like everything. Yeah. They do a lot of overtime. Sure. And, you know, as we've always talked about here on the show is the Biden administration's number one goal by January of this year was going to try and figure out a way to get amnesty for all the people they led in here. I think that Donald Trump has kind of led in with eliminating federal taxes and replacing them with things like tariffs. He's spoken on it briefly, but now has dropped a couple solid policy points that he could implement and start working towards that eventual goal. So just keep that in mind and where you heard it first outside of President Trump mentioning it on the campaign trail. In addition, I already said Kamal Harris delivered remarks down in North Carolina at two separate events yesterday. The buses came with her, followed her to the other event, and then left. I mean, there was some good roving grassroots journalists going around that have identified people that have been in rallies in Arizona and Las Vegas and Michigan that were showing up at the same rally in North Carolina. So I don't know if they're paying thousands of people or there's some kind of incentive for them to travel around. But yeah, Kamal Harris doesn't have 10,000 brick suits going all over the place like that guy never misses a rally. I mean, he puts out the itinerary of the Trump team on Monday. Hey, Donald Trump's doing rallies in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida, and then he's going to do something up in New Jersey. Should I go? He's in the front row of every single event. What does he do for work? I don't know. Must be independently wealthy or something. Yeah, I wouldn't be able to afford to travel that much. No, that's awesome. Even on the cheap. And I mean, listen, this guy camps out outside of rallies. Sometimes he sleeps in his car, but just to be able to curse across the country on short notice in the fashion, he does. It is more than admirable to say the least. So you're saying he doesn't drive an EV? No, no, he does not. And because I've heard him talk about the gas prices when he goes, let's just say from California where he's stationed out to Arizona where he frequently goes to rallies and, believe it or not, was in the front row. In Tucson yesterday, well, Donald Trump was delivering remarks. And then we'll catch up on the rest of the major headlines outside of the presidential race because there were some big ones this week. We got some new things out of the Department of Justice in Merrick Garland. I'm sure much to America first chagrin and eye rolling. We also, speaking of eye rolling, got some new developments, or at least leading towards developments in the assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life now over 80 days. And we have just as much information as we did in the wake of it happening. In addition, the senior Secret Service Director, I believe who's in charge of presidential details, like the highest value assets that our country has. And he is tasked with overseeing supervising. The people who are managing these on the ground, out in the communities and around the world, essentially, is retiring. He's not being fired. He's not being demoted. And now he is going to get his 25 plus years of service in the form of a retirement check every year, so probably go on to speak at Democrat think tanks and work for future Democrat campaigns. So good news there. And then we'll see what else happens between now and the end of the show. Like I said, Donald Trump's going to be delivering remarks. He was supposed to go off at 9 a.m. on the West Coast. It's nearly 10 here. So I'm assuming that he's going to be taking the podium soon. And we'll throw in a couple of the heaters that he drops today on the back end of the second show. So getting things started now and recapping our recap of the presidential debate. You know, so Noah, have you heard the report that a whistleblower is ready to come forward and provide evidence that Kamala Harris may have been given the quote on the show? And if not the questions, at least the topics and the direction that the presidential debate was going to go in and also reassured that Donald Trump was the only person that was going to be fact checked ahead of time and that she would not be fact checked in real time. They would allow that to happen in the cable news circuit following the debate. Does it surprise you at all? Something we kind of alluded to on the show last week. Just the way it kind of remember when we were talking and I'm like, yeah, it sounded like Donald Trump was like a question ahead or a question behind the whole time. But it didn't matter what they said, what the follow-ups were, how the moderators kind of segued. It seemed like Kamala Harris had like a prepared statement for every single thing they talked about throughout the entirety of the debate, including the zingers that she tried to land on President Trump. What do you think? Yeah, I mean, we predicted that's what was going to be the case. And while all the potential for it to be true is obfuscated by the potential for earpiece, earrings and all that other stuff that I did think her earrings were weird, but apparently they're Tiffany earrings, which are probably really expensive. Sure. Good for her. But when it comes down to it, nobody's going to be surprised even people on her side because what the female moderator was one of her sorority sisters. The male moderator, isn't he like married to somebody who donated to the campaign? Yes. Something like that. And I mean, you couldn't help but watch like even the people that know it was bullshit, like even the people on the left, they're like, oh, yeah, you know, it's a bummer that they finally fact check that very fine people think because they just continue to want to spout it. But there's people that know some of this stuff is not true on the other side and they're seeing them blatantly run with it and then you look at the moderators and they're just like, oh, yeah, that's good. Yeah, perfect. But there's no way that she did not have and whether or not they phrased the questions that they gave her the example questions like, you know, they flipped the paragraph so it's two different things. But even with her getting the answers ahead of time, like she went off in the weeds a couple times. Yeah. And didn't answer the questions, but that might have been relatively on purpose as well. Yeah, I mean, like I said, I, you know, QC, our episode from Wednesday and you heard more things like compulsive liar project 2025 national abortion ban, very fine people suckers and losers. And every other made up. Democrat talking point over the last eight years now, instead of relevant answers from Kamala Harris and I think, you know, one of the things that I took and again breaking down the debate a second time. Kamala Harris got completely taken to the woods shed on all three foreign policy points. That's, you know, the Ukraine war, what's going on in Israel dealing with Vladimir Putin and all that other stuff. I just think, you know, it seemed like she was either didn't want to weigh in on it because of the sensuality of losing votes between the Jewish community and the Arabs. And, you know, when it comes to Ukraine, we all know that's their military industrial complex baby. So. Yeah. Well, when it comes down to it, the fact that she was able to stick that many of the fake talking points into the debate, it illustrates 100% that she has no substance. It's orange man bad. Orange man going to ruin the country. Look what Orange man's doing while her policies go completely silent on. Well, she doesn't have any policies. Sure. Let everybody add a jail 100% accurate in the country, you know, that's it. I mean, we even had Rushgate hoax and, you know, admiration of dictators, you know, what happened. Love letters with Kim Jong Un is one of the references there. So it's one of those things where it was just, it's way clearer to see. And then, you know, when you're talking about how Donald Trump finished the debate strong, and then when they did that, you know how they rate the debate in real time, the people with the clickers, independence, Democrats and Republicans. When he delivered his two minute closing remarks, Democrats, all the way down, Republicans and independents running naked, naked with each other, all the way up. ABC News threw out on their official social media TikTok account, both closing remarks from Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris garnered like 4.1 million-ish, and Donald Trump is down near 20 right now. So, you know, you've got trends on TikTok outside of their eating the dogs and cats videos that are flying around, but now you have Swifties for Trump. That's another thing that happened this week, you know, Taylor Swift officially, right after the debate ended, endorsed Kamala Harris and Tim Walls. And now you have other things trending on social media, like Taylor Swift fans burning her memorabilia and donning Maggie Gear, which is becoming trends now. And, you know, it's, this is the fight for our lives. And that debate should just be another confirmation of how serious the Democrats are about not giving up power to Donald Trump again, because they know a pissed off Donald Trump, a nearly assassinated Donald Trump, a much smarter Donald Trump. And if you go and read his books, he rarely makes the same mistake twice. Donald Trump is going to be a lot more of a pain in the ass than, you know, he used to be scared of getting impeached and sued now I think he doesn't give a shit. No border walls, we're going to shut the government down again, Nancy Pelosi did it, we're going to do it. Okay, executive order, we're taking the funds out. I'll see you guys in court, it doesn't matter anyways, even if the Supreme Court rules like they did with Joe Biden, they're just going to keep doing it, and mine's benefiting the country, yours isn't. So, I have the people with me. Before we jump in here, got to mention our great slate of guests that are coming in here today, two time defending assistant, U.S. Attorney General, who last served during the Trump administration, Jeffrey Clark will be here. We'll also catch up with the senior editor at large from Newsweek, Josh Hammer, straight from the Trump campaign, and on the ground in Los Angeles today, James Blair will be joining us, and Wade Miller from the Center for Renewing America, one of their finest economists will be joining us as well. Even with such a packed lineup that we have today, no, I have to start talking about next week. Next week, we are packed with guests, two shows on two different days, four episodes, ten guests. And everybody from senior members of the Trump campaign, I think Lee Zeldin's coming in here next week, Roger Stone, Senator Ron Johnson, it's just an absolute packed week. Maybe even Corey Mills will make an appearance. You know, I sent him a text message. Yes, I said, bro, I have to give you shit. I saw you on War Room. That's cheating. And we know during Corey's initial campaign to run for Congress, War Room endorsed someone else who did not beat him in the primary. I was Mills curious, but a little bit shy because of what I had read on the Internet, but after I did my research, we reached out, actually formed a relationship, which is blossomed into what I consider a friendship now. And he immediately laughed, reacted, and came right back. He's like, bro, their audience was being misled and misinformed by the people who were running that show, and I went on there to set things straight. Nice. And I said, hey, but we haven't seen you in a while. It's not like you're not running around, running in your own primary, talking to town halls in Texas with Ted Cruz, being at the Heritage Foundation or whatever think tank you're at with Matt Gaetz up in DC, running around with Donald Trump. Can you come on the show, please? And he's like, yes, I will come on the show next week. So again, absolutely stacked guest lineup next week. I had to start pushing people to the week after so many people wanted to get in next week, but it's going to be, well, I guess in this case, very fine people. Well, back to the War Room thing real quick. I haven't listened to that show in like a year. I just have zero interest now. It's boring. Well, I mean, Steve Bannon had been going off the rails for a while before he went to prison. And again, nobody wants to see Steve Bannon imprison that as a product of a weaponized justice system against Donald Trump and his allies. He should never have been in there and should be out now. However, you know, when he gave the keys over to all the other losers who have, you know, rode Donald Trump's coattails to somewhat mediocrity over the years. They've done a horrible job with it. They can't commentate. Their stuff is stylish, in my opinion. It's a younger crowd trying to cater to their boomer audience. And I just go and read the comments on their posts and I kind of get a pulse for it. But yeah, I'm not even talking about like the War Room as it is now with Bannon in the pokey. I mean, I'm saying like I wasn't listening to it when he was still there. I just couldn't stomach it anymore. I was just like, this is good. I mean, not even Natalie Winter's world-class rack could save that show. I'll put it to you quite frankly. And, you know, when I turned it on about a month and a half ago and I saw that Chip Roy was hosting and he had Steve Dees on as a guest, that was over. And they weren't going to move the needle at all no matter who they brought on there until Steve Bannon came back. And listen, once he gets out of the can, I hope he jumps right back in the captain's chair and steers that listenership right towards the ballot box on November 5th. One team, one fight. We can be harsh critics of all the things we don't think are important. I mean, there's so much fighting going on on social media now. And you want to know what? There's a lot of people who are maggot adjacent because they're not officially in a context working for the Trump campaign, but people who have supported President Trump and Doris President Trump, we're out there doing like these town halls and speaking events. They're talking about the issues, but they're not talking about what's important. You know, society's fucked up. Healthcare systems fucked up. The abortion narratives fucked up. Forever wars are fucked up. We have an erasure of our border that is completely fucked up. But here's the deal. It has to be 100% Donald Trump between now and November 5th. There is really nothing else. I mean, we love bringing in the congressmen and women who jump on this show regularly. We really appreciate their commentary. We want to hear about the race. The things they're trying to work on. Same things with member of the Senate. Everyone that's a political commentator or pundit who comes in here on stake for breakfast, you know, we like having these interviews and breaking down the biggest issues with them. But here's the deal. If it's not about Donald Trump winning, which in fact will get the House members and the senators who are running in these races over the finish line, then what are you really talking about? I mean, you know, even Tucker Carlson's kind of bugged me lately. I like that he's doing this tour, but I just don't know how much of it is invested in Donald Trump winning the election. You know, he's kind of in a place right now where it really doesn't matter. Tucker's going to be able to be Tucker and do Tucker things regardless of what happens on November 5th. And, you know, I see some of the people he brings on their extreme Tulsi Gabbard comes out. Awesome. RFK Junior comes out. Super. Meghan Kelly comes out. Why? Because she curses on her podcast and she's pretty. You know, Donald Trump already cast her off into the political abyss not too long ago because he said he's sick and tired of her riding the fence on him. Because he knows what's at stake and he doesn't need people with that beg of a listenership to be, you know, Trump curious anymore. It's either you're 100% maga and you're down for saving this country or you're not. You're in it for yourself. And without saying any more names or getting into the weeds too much on it, I just hope at some point some of these larger influencers with a lot more reason we have here, although our credibility is just about as pristine as can be. Decide to swallow their egos a little bit. Maybe make a little mess money over the course of the next couple months and get this country back on the right track and I'll leave it at that. So jumping back into our debate recap recap. I saw the guys over at CNBC, namely Rick Centelli. Good little Italian there. Going in hard on ABC's moderators and the absolute shit job that they did. Let's check it out. And just ask them since we're on the topic, Rick, how you feel about tariffs? You know how I feel about tariffs? It's a bargaining chip. And many of the tariffs with China are still on. Once again, the moderators don't drill down on the two aspects of tariffs, but they do drill down on other areas that make no economic sense whatsoever. But you don't think the tariffs raise prices? Just as a mathematical opinion. Listen, prices are going up no matter what Andrew. Whether you do it on the tech side, whether you do it on the tariff side, our policies are silly that we can't be Santa Claus. But all those programs aren't policies, they're promises that never get by Congress and each one of them has a cost we can't afford because we've done this before. When you prepay and you make policies that donate economic sense, you may think you're getting a benefit. Look at what we learned yesterday. Finally, wages reach 2019, but it doesn't reflect how much they've gone up since 2019. If you're out there and you're a young person, study up. All these superstars that made recommendations in such a timely fashion yesterday, maybe they don't feel the pain of what's going on, but I feel bad that they can't buy houses and insurance. You think these price of insurance are going to go down, Andrew. You think people in Florida that could barely hold on to their homes could afford 300% increases in their insurance? And I'll leave it at that. It makes a good point. The average single person insurance policy cost roughly $68 back in 1999. And between 1999 and 2024, 25 years span, 314% increase in the cost of policies. And the average one costs now roughly around $300. That's for single payer. And that's probably not very premium in any way, shape or form. So homebuyership, unattainable right now, he's telling these people to study. It sounds like a good idea because I'll tell you what, it's not like they can go out and buy anything. The cost of a house is irrelevant when the cost of food is pretty much putting you in the poor house. And for all the Americans out there enjoying more sandwiches at dinner time, then home cooked meal. Again, he let in with it. They don't have policies. They have empty promises. And what's going to happen if we allow another four years of what Joe Biden has done. The ones that are unconstitutional will be stopped by the Supreme Court and the ones that don't really benefit them in any way, shape or form. I'm sure you could agree with this note. They just don't care about. They do not. Nancy Pelosi jumped on with CNN's gayest commentator. And I say that lightly, not in the pants or the loafers. But in reality, Anderson Cooper last night, and she was talking a little post debate commentary, you know, after Donald Trump blamed her for January 6 after viral videos went out from her daughter's January 6 theatrical production on HBO, admitting that she should have brought in the National Guard. You know, she's always going to be primed, loosed up and ready to go to drop a couple of haymakers on Donald Trump, especially when the Democrats were running with the narrative that Kamala Harris won the debate. Let's check it out. Have you, I mean, watching him on that stage, I mean, you've obviously, you know, had, you know him very well from, from interacting with him in a professional capacity. Has he, what do you make of where he is at? Has he, is his skill level the same? Is his, I mean, is he different than he was as you recall in office in terms of his stamina, thinking whatever it may be? You know, one of those big balloons when you stick a pin in and it swirls around the room until it comes down to nothing. That's what he reminds me of, just less and less and less and less, like somebody stuck a pin in him, and he's just greatly diminished. Such journalism's going on. Yeah, journals during some of the shows on CNN. And I say that because they've been pretty bipolar with the reporting on this president. I don't know if there's a divide if like, you know, the new owner that came in recently and said they were getting back to the basics said hey listen we know there's some. Blue haired meanies in here, and we know there's some people who actually have some journalistic integrity. You guys can run whichever way you want. It looks like a shit show. We'll call it ratings. People like Anderson Cooper obviously. Have you know, continue to pull the line and drink the Kool-Aid at a Democrat party but even people like fake news Jake Tapper has in recent weeks I guess or maybe even months kind of said, okay, obviously we're in for Kamal Harris but what do we report on? Like literally, we report on all these fake poll numbers that don't make sense. I'll give you one for instance. Kamal Harris is up one nationally in poly market today 50 to 49%. But she's up like five points in places like Wisconsin. She's up like five points in places like Michigan. How does that make sense? Because she's not up nationally. And I think the there there is is that Kamal Harris's team knows it. I think the Democrat party knows it and internally they're in crisis mode. Well, I don't understand what the point of, I mean, obviously making her look like she's stronger is good but like we always say with with us like if Trump's up, we should assume that he's not as as high up as as he really legitimately is. Yeah, because they don't want to get give our voters the false sense of security like they don't need to show up. And again, but maybe it just doesn't apply to the Democrats because they're going to show up regardless just because. But but they almost. Yeah, you know what actually that I just kind of just rationalized all that head go working class people farmers mechanics people that don't have fucking time that work hard jobs and are interested in no tax on overtime. Versus childless cat ladies who work at a coffee shop or wherever say that their vagina is open for refugees. Yeah. Well, that's the thing we're sleeping bag ever. They almost got screwed by this same methodology back in 2020 because what happened Joe Biden's up by 10 Wisconsin Donald Trump loses loses air quoting now by by point or of a percentage point. Joe Biden's up by 10 in North Carolina Donald Trump wins North Carolina. You know Donald Trump is up by two in Texas over Joe Biden Donald Trump wins Texas by like 10 points. Donald Trump and Joe Biden are running nearly neck and neck in Florida. Donald Trump blows them out of the water in Florida. You know, and if they want to continue to do this and I'll tell you what. You want to keep Astro Turfin coming out of the pandemic and not having somebody like grandpa Joe and I know that's saying something weird but it's the truth. The enthusiasm level, especially with the way the economy is, is not on command hires aside. It just isn't. So they're going to wind up getting bitten the ass by that. But going back to this point, Jake Tapper wasn't even buying the fact that she had a strong debate because she gave nothing to her potential voters. Let's hear it. Vice President Harris began the debate by punting the first question on the economy. Do you believe Americans are better off than they were four years ago? So I was raised as a middle class kid and I am actually the only person on this stage who has a plan that is about lifting up the middle class and working people of America. It went on from there. Despite the economy being the number one issue facing the country, the sitting vice president, generally reverted to talking points about a few of her policy proposals. Even Harris allies today are saying that she needs to talk more about what she will do for Americans if elected. Senator Bernie Sanders will be here in a second to talk about more about the need for her to fill in some of those blanks on the border. Another vulnerable issue for Harris, she also dodged. Would you have done anything differently from president Biden on this? So I'm the only person on this stage who has prosecuted transnational criminal organizations for the trafficking of guns, drugs and human beings. Okay, that wasn't the question. When asked how she would break through the Israel Hamas war stalemate, Harris said this. We need a ceasefire deal and we need the hostages out. And so we will continue to work around the clock on that. Okay, but again, how? You know what's even more bipolar about the reporting, Noah? Anderson Cooper and Jake Tapper shows follow each other. So you get like an hour of like completely deranged like, "Oh, let's bring on Nancy Pelosi and she can call Donald Trump a balloon." And then you got Jake Tapper come in like an hour later and be like, "What the fuck is this lady doing?" Literally. It's just interesting. You know, and when you talk about some of those points, Kamala Harris pointed out not by giving anything economically in regards to a platform, but she said, "Oh, yeah, the Wharton School of Business love this and the CEO of Goldman Sachs, they endorsed it." And I thought it was very funny to turn on the news the very next day and see the CEO of Goldman Sachs on fact checking what he would call an endorsement. Or actually not one. Like Kamala Harris had suggested before a national audience during the debate that she got, do you think she got an endorsement from Goldman Sachs? I'll let you decide. Let's listen. Let's talk some politics. Debate was last night. Not sure if you had a chance to see it or not. Your own economic team, of course, has made news of late, suggesting that the bigger boost of growth would come from the Harris economic plan. At least over the first couple of years. She mentioned it last night. You feel the same? So that report, which was mentioned last night in the debate, came from an independent analyst. And it's interesting, Scott. I think a lot more has been made of this than should be. What the report did is it looked at a handful of policy issues that have been put out by both sides and it tried to model their impact on GDP growth. The reason I say a bigger deal has been made of it is what it showed is the difference between the sets of policies that they put forward was about two tenths of one percent. So, economy grows. If you took these particular sets of policies they looked at. By the way, we have no idea whether these policies, these things that are talked about will ultimately be implemented. What was the growth impact? The differential was two tenths of one percent. So, I think our clients are trying to look at what's going on from a policy perspective and make judgments. I think this blew up into something that's bigger than what it was intended to be. Well? Yeah? Gotcha, bitch! Got 'em. Don't leave me to the think tanks and think that they're just going to lap up your fake endorsements because what's going to happen is, listen, they don't want to bear the grunt of people being pissed off of them. This is one of the largest hedge funds in the history of the planet. And there's no way that they want to be attached to two, three years from now them saying like, well inflation's still through the roof. We're now not producing any energy. The border is nonexistent and the economy's grown by 0.2 percent as we endorsed back in 2024. Golden Tax, how do you feel about this endorsement now? The country's literally burning. It's not the summer of love anymore. It's just of love anymore. How do you think they would feel? Well, of course they don't want to hitch their wagon to that. And I don't think anybody with half a brain is going to be, well, I guess we are going to talk about the Bush Chaney endorsements a little bit later in the podcast, I think in our second edition today, but that's neither here nor there. So Donald Trump was asked in the wake of this debate and following some of the 9/11 memorial services that he attended. Oh man. Do we want to talk about Joe Biden's redemption arc or what? Did you see the full video? Yes. I love it. Like he has no fucking clue. But that's grandpa Joe. Like that is, I don't want him to be the chief executive of the world. I'm just amazed he kept it. Yeah. He took it back to the plane with him. Like a squirrel with a nut. The Trump campaign had to replace it. Which they did when they got there about an hour after sleepy Joe took off. But you know. You stole your hat. It's criminal. But he did. All things aside, I really do think that was Joe Biden sending a fuck you to Nancy Pelosi and Kamala Harris and all the other people that threatened his presidency with the 25th amendment and made him get out of that. I think you're giving it too much credit. Yeah. Anyways. Yeah, that'd be great. If it was. I just don't think his brains. Working with that much strategic. Donald Trump was asked after one of these services about the potentiality of another debate. He would weigh in on it here and then confirm yesterday in Tucson where he was going with it. We've got both clips. We're going to listen to the first one right now. Let's check it out. No, we're looking at it, but you know, when you win, you don't really necessarily have to do it a second time. So we'll see. But we had a, I thought we had a great debate list. Thank you very much. Well, we need to change for you to agree to a second debate. Would you want different rules? Would you want to do a format? Well, you know, when you don't win, it's like a fighter. When a fighter has a bad fight, gets knocked out or loses the fight. The first thing he says is we want to rematch. So we won the debate according to every poll, every single poll. I think that, are we going to do a rematch? I just don't know. We'll think about it. Would you still do the win on NBC on September 25th? You've proposed that. Are you still? I would do NBC. I do Fox, too. I do Fox, too. But right now we have to determine whether or not we want to do. We had a great night last night. And you see by the poll numbers, it was really fantastic. Thank you very much, everybody. So he kind of left it open on Wednesday, but would clarify what his stance was on it. Yesterday in Tucson, Arizona, I do have a couple of true social posts that I would feel we are obligated to read to our listenership. As they are very critical to some of the things that happened during the debate. One of the things we forgot to mention in all the fake music while Harris was promoting. Remember the crime stats? Well, Mr. President, actually the crime stats are down nearly 60% across the country. Well, the FBI says... Yeah. First post. Massive news. The Department of Justice just released brand new crime data showing I was absolutely and completely rated the debate. In fact, the data is even worse than we could have ever imagined. Compared to 2020, violent crime is up nearly 40%. Rape is up 42%. Aggravated assaults are up 55%. Violent crime with a weapon is up 56%. Violent attacks on strangers are up 61%. Car theft is up 42% and the most serious forms of violent crime is up 55%. Our cities are under siege. This does not include the migrant crime and migrant rape spree that has taken over our cities in recent months. Kamala Harris is destroying America. Kamala crime is destroying America and gangs are taking over. Now that was about something during the debate. This is from the fallout afterwards, especially. Now again, ABC News is completely denied it. And the presumed whistleblower has not come forward with either affidavits or proof of collaboration between the news entity and team Kamala. But here's what Donald Trump had to say about it. People were saying that comrade Kamala Harris had the questions from fake news ABC. I would say this is very likely. The two so-called anchors are disgraced to modern day journalism. David Mears should be ashamed of himself as should Lindsay Davis, who I never heard of, neither have we. But we're both nasty and rude when they were making statements that they knew were false. As an example, the FBI said they didn't give all the information when coming up with crime stats, making me right. Despite having to debate three people, polls firmly state that I won and won easily. I felt also, but no politician should ever have to do a debate with ABC News. They have proven to be not worthy, and hopefully an investigation will be done as to whether or not they gave the debate questions to comrade Kamala, who's best friend is the top ABC executive. If she did give the questions to Kamala, ABC's license should be terminated. That is, you know, hosting presidential debates. Remember, Donna Brazil works for ABC, and she gave the Clintons to Hillary Clinton back in 2016. So, he knows, he knows, last one. People were just starting to give me credit for having a great debate. The voters and voter polls showed it, and the fake news media was giving credit, was wasn't giving credit where credit was due. Now they are seeing results with independent voters, evangelicals, and even more saying, "Wow." Remember, I wasn't debating one person, I was debating three. They should fire everybody at ABC Fake News. Those two lightweight anchors have brought disgrace to the company. Oh boy, best timeline ever. Scott Jennings has been going off on CNN as part of their, again, bipolar presentation of news that they got there. And, you know, he seems to be the only voice of reason when arguing with all of these little IQ retards on the network. This one was an exchange back and forth between him and the views and Navarro. And since her IQ is about 63, you know where this one is going, let's check it out. But here's a fact. He did get pushback from them. They did try to fact check him in real time, but there were numerous questions that she would not answer. And she did tell several lies and got no fact checking. So, I think if you're going to lay down a marker that we're going to push back on these candidates, you got to do it to none, or you got to do it to both. They asked her directly, directly, in the very first question. If she thought they had any responsibility for the economic conditions or that people were better off than they were, and she completely ignored it, they asked her on immigration. Why did you wait until six months before the election to do anything? And she completely ignored it. And so, fact checking and barbs aside, those are the two most important issues in the election. They asked her, she completely ignored them, and they spent all their time going after Trump and didn't follow up on any of that. I thought it was ridiculous. I thought it was ridiculous too. The man who is in charge of, I guess, not moderating, overseeing the presidential debates, he's done actually the last 34, including ABCs earlier this week. Wait in on the news yesterday, I pulled the clip for our last new segment of our second edition of State for Records today, so sit tight for that. Last clip I've got, though, before we jump in with the former assistant U.S. Attorney General two time defending champ there, Jeff Clark, is a speaking piece from Hugh Hewitt, who was on Fox News afternoon programming yesterday. And it's much like we've said here since watching the debate on Tuesday night. There's a lot of armchair quarterback going on right now. There's a lot of being able to digest, unemotionally, what happened throughout the course of the debate, watch how strong Donald Trump finished, which included his closing remarks, and how essentially the voters responded, because outside of punditry, that's the only thing that matters, right? Let's check it out. I am not surprised, Martin. Thank you for having me on. I think he knows that he is in the process of winning the debate on Tuesday night, and I want to explain that. NFL fans are familiar with the phrase, "Upon further review, the officials have reversed the call on the field, did overwhelming evidence." Upon further review, the American public has decided that debate was rigged. It was absolutely in the tank by ABC and Disney to hurt the former president and to help Kamala Harris. And the way I explain this to people... It doesn't need much for one and I. We're up this age, but if you're under 62, it won't necessarily make sense. In 1972, the Soviets won the gold medal against the American basketball team in the Olympics, but that's only because the officials and the referees insisted that they win. Doug Collins, Jim Brewer, they can tell you the whole story, but it was rigged. And when you go back and look at the deep, deep bias that manifested itself, it was as though law fair had become media fair. But Disney, one example, not one question on China is Disney worried about their theme parks? So only in the extent that the Soviets won in 1972 did Kamala win on Tuesday night. I think Donald Trump is reading internals, reading their polls and realizing the American people are disgusted with ABC. Kamala Harris did not answer one question directly, and they're moving towards it. He's winning. She didn't answer one indirectly either. No, it's a truth. Listen, it was the perfect storm. You had all these nowhere to mention. The female moderator was... She belongs to the same sorority that Kamala Harris does. Their sorority sisters, only in sorority affiliation, only Kamala Harris, I believe, is more than 20 years older than her. And I mean, David Mier looks like literally every serial killer from every movie that's ever been made. He just looks like a mouth-breathing, skin-wearing, like his neighbors while we say, "Oh, he was very quiet, but he was a nice boy." And then you had the head exec over there, the Disney ABC, dual-rolling, best friends with Kamala Harris since the 90s introduced her to her husband. Her husband is friends with this executive husband. Like, you couldn't have... Donald Trump is suing ABC. Every single rally he goes to, he makes sure he talks crap about George Sloppadopoulos. And it was a perfect storm against him. He was able to wade through it and get the job done. So, and I think the voters realize that. And as more information comes out, we'll obviously be presenting it in a factual manner here. But we're going to leave it at that and look to cover Donald Trump's speaking event in Tucson, Arizona yesterday in our next news segment. But before we do that, we're going to jump in with former assistant U.S. Attorney General, Jeff Clark, and check in with one of our partners. This episode of the podcast is brought to you as always by Man Rubs. Use a code "stake15" for 15% off your order. All right, joining us next on the show today to speak for out of the edition of the "Stake for Breakfast" podcast. He is the former two-time U.S. assistant attorney general, joining us again from the Center for Renewing America, Mr. Jeff Clark, welcome back to the show. Well, it's always good to be here, and it's been a big week with that debate earlier in the week, so I'm glad to join you. And we're glad to catch up with you, and I want to get some commentary on it. So, listen, I think President Trump did a really strong job during the debate. I mean, obviously there was a lot of talking points and policy points that are important to the American people that President Trump wanted to get across. It wasn't going to be Kamala Harris, or ABC News that was going to be presenting them to the American people, and we saw that on full display. I can't think of anything that they really held Kamala Harris to account on, including her record, previously, including the last four years, that the American people have had to suffer under her and Joe Biden, developed any of the things that she potentially wanted to bring as a presidential candidate and potentially a four years of her administration. And they just kind of piled on Donald Trump for nearly 90 minutes on live TV. Jeff, we've seen this before. Obviously, with the introduction of Donald Trump in 2016, there was a little bit of a period where he was able to work his way across the stage until he got to the middle before. You know, the media was really game against him, but since he became the Republican nominee the first time he ran for President and pretty much all the way through outside of the Joe Biden, the Joe Biden presidential debate, because obviously Joe Biden couldn't play along because of his mental in acuity. But, I mean, we got what we expected was going to happen. I just don't think when you look at the polls, when you look at some of the snap holes, the exit numbers, and the things that are actually affecting America when they wake up the next day, it doesn't matter what the media does to try and accomplish that goal of delegitimizing Donald Trump's campaign. He's at the front of the greatest political movement in the history of this country, and one of the greatest comeback stories probably in the history of America as well. And I just kind of want to get your take start to finish how you saw this kind of roll out and where you think President Trump kind of goes from here with it. Sure, so, look, the main takeaway for the debate for me is the fact that the moderators for ABC were tremendously biased, especially David Muir. He really got into arguing with President Trump, and, you know, he was even trying to fact check him on the idea that when President Trump was talking about losing the 2020 presidential election by a whisker, Trump said, "Well, I was being sarcastic," and David Muir was like, "Well, I didn't take it as being sarcastic." Well, who really cares what David Muir thinks about it, and why do we have to have debate runners who do anything more than ask questions and potentially do follow up and potentially say, "Hey, I'm going to give you a minute to respond to what was said by your opponent." There shouldn't be any commentary about it. The media can do commentary after the debate's over. If they're interjecting themselves live into the debate, they're becoming the story. They're making themselves fall on one side of the debate or the other, and we know, since we're talking about ABC, that they're going to fall on the Kamala Harris side of any debate, and that's exactly what happened. I point out to your viewers listeners that, look, who was it that the January 6th Committee, that constitutional abomination, went to to produce their highly choreographed hearings where people just read, the members is read from scripts. There was no actual live off-the-cuff questions, and that was James Goldstein, who was the ABC news producer, right? Look, I would not have gone to ABC to do this debate. We know why Kamala was desperate to have them do it. It's also come out that one of the big wigs at ABC News at this point is personal friends with her, so there's even a conflict of interest. ABC News did not even announce that as a conflict of interest at the start of the proceedings. They should have. I think that's basic journalistic ethics. The whole thing was stacked against President Trump. They were also playing psycho games with how they were framing the camera stuff. President Trump was blurrier. When they put side-by-side shots, they made her head look bigger by zooming in more to her, and they also did that in a way that put the top of her head higher than the top of President Trump's head. Even though obviously President Trump is significant taller than she is, probably about a foot taller than she is, it's all this kind of Hollywood gaming to try to make President Trump's climb to win the debate harder. He's doing an incline bicycle race, and she's on the downhill, and it's just totally unfair, but it's what we have to come to expect from the mainstream media these days. You know, and when you look at the things they wanted to talk about, some of the topics were just so out of bounds, in my opinion, had absolutely nothing to do. I mean, they let Kamala Harris opine on about the suckers and losers hoax, the things about Charlottesville. They went into context on January 6, and then didn't even let follow-up questions go directed towards President Trump after Kamala Harris was able to provide commentary on something that was completely opinionated. They parlayed that into, like you mentioned, things about the 2020 presidential election, and when you talk about policies or things that she potentially could bring to the table, I mean, obviously we've seen over the course of the last week, she's cut and paste a lot of Joe Biden's policies under our website. I think it would kind of be a presidency like Joe Biden's, but on steroids because she can, you know, talk the talk a little bit better than Joe Biden has been able to do for the last four years. But when you talk about making a presentation to the American people and potentially what the viewers from both sides of the aisle could take away, I mean, you couldn't be satisfied or feel any kind of relief that like, you want to know what, after hearing this for the last two hours, I actually feel good about the potential direction the country could go in, except when it came from President Trump, and he talked about, you know, a lot of the things he had major successes with in his first administration, whether it be foreign policy, whether it how he dealt economically with the same geopolitical flows and allies, what he did to secure the U.S. southern border and safety in the streets and the domestic economy as well. So what does it say for the state of modern politics now and how the media kind of, they're allowing another candidate for a second full cycle on a road to run a basement campaign. And at the same time, assuming that the American people will just assume no policy platform is so much better than what America first has to offer, that the American people are going to accept that in 50 some on days now when they go to the ballot box on November 5. Yeah, it's disappointing. Look, you know, President Trump's agenda has been out there on Trump 47 for months, and it's a living website. So as he adds new policy ideas, and actually, there was a line of questioning yesterday asking him about, you know, some new ideas potentially is like, well, we're working on it, right? So if you've been following it, you know that that's credible. He is working on it, right? He adds to it. Whereas for Kamala Harris, she realized, you know, almost like, you know, a student who didn't study for the test, that she's got to do some cramming. So right before the debate, just a couple days, we get, you know, her supposed policy platforms, which, as you pointed out, there was electronic evidence in the metadata that it was just cut and pasted from Joe Biden's stuff. Yeah. So it's really embarrassing. And, you know, there was no fact checking on any of that from the ABC moderators. And look, you know, I've been looking recently at fentanyl policy. So I'll use this as an example. So she's on record saying that she thinks there should be legalization of drugs like fentanyl, right? But President Trump is on record saying that we have to make fentanyl permanently on schedule one from the Drug Enforcement Administration, right, which allows the highest penalties and treatment to be applied against it. You know, this is a drug that's killing thousands and thousands of people. You know, many parents are left, you know, with their children, like reaching the prime of life and their, you know, late teens or early twenties who die from overdoses of this incredibly dangerous drug. And, you know, we have the San Francisco prosecutor telling us that, you know, we should legalize this stuff. It's, it's really crazy. And then, you know, to not have any pushback on economic policy, President Trump points out that basically she's a communist. She is her father was a Marxist economics professor, you know, Marx and his works are all over what her, her professor dad did. So, you know, there's a famous commentator, Michael Savage, who would call her Red Diaper Doper, baby. I remember. Yeah. And, and look, you know, I didn't even realize this as I was doing it, right? I did fentanyl first. So you do have the Red Diaper and the Doper part from the fentanyl. And, you know, there's no one who's who on that stage for the moderators pointed out when Trump was doing that, they just kind of like tried to poo poo that and move along. And they did that at several junctures saying like, well, we got a lot to get to Mr. President. We got to go on to the next issue. No, no one who pushed back to say, hey, she called for price controls. There is nothing more communistic than price controls. And there's also nothing more communistic than the Biden Harris inflation that's been inflicted on the American public. That's one of the major planks of, you know, if you erode away the value of the people's money, you know, you bring yourself closer to the next revolution that they want to have. So, you know, up and down on every issue I saw, you know, Trump was presenting the better case. But every time the moderator tried to frame him as if he were somehow out to lunch and Kamala Harris was right on target. It's entirely backwards. Yeah, it certainly was. And I was thankful for when it was over and that we can get back to doing the things that we've done for, you know, essentially the last eight years now. And that's a layout of presentation of the American people with the receipts and the successes that he had during his administration, knowing that Donald Trump has gone to a first term in office. And you would potentially think that the hires are going to be better. The way that he's going to be able to work with Congress would be better because obviously they've seen what's been on the other side of the coin with that. And, you know, in this, in this window we have now, Jeff, between now November 5th, it's not like some of the existential things that Donald Trump said to worry about outside of the political campaign have ramped down in any way, shape, or form. You know, the law fair continues to be waged against them very publicly in both behind the scenes. And I kind of wanted to get your commentary as someone who knows his way around the DOJ and someone who has gone through a lot of the exact same things that President Trump has had to incur for the last couple of years. So how you see this stuff, whether it be things that are going on with Jack Smith and Judge Chuck in what they're still continuing to try to do up in New York and how this man has been able to, you know, navigate all these landmines while he's running for President of the United States. I mean, look, if you got to fight the leftists, you got to fight the moderators and you have to fight all of the law fair, you know, that's a lot. I think anyone, as I pointed out recently on on X, could withstand all of those forces and, you know, still be in a good position to rewind the presidency of the United States other than Donald Trump. I don't think there's anyone else in the world who is capable of fighting through all of those forces, all of that headwind. The law fair, you know, headwind is obviously still very strong, but I think that your viewers listeners should focus on the fact that we now have daylight in between two Democrat appointed judges. One is Juan Mershan up in New York, a state court judge, and then the other is Judge Chuck in a federal judge here in Washington, D.C. And the issue is how to apply the Supreme Court's immunity decision in Trump, the United States that was issued on July 1 of this year. And they split essentially as to how to apply it and whether it was relevant to, and they're continued adjudication of those cases as relevant to the election. Mershan was going to try to sentence President Trump on July 18 fighting through immunity, I'm sorry, on September 18 fighting through immunity arguments. But he eventually, you know, kind of gave up the ghost, you know, cited the election and it's, I'm near it is, and said, you know, we're not going to do this sentencing until November 26. So we'll also see, you know, now he gets to see the result of the election, right? I predict that he might decide to order a new trial or do something like that if Trump wins the election. But if Trump loses the election, then I predict he's going to try to sentence sadly President Trump. And why is it that there needs to be at the very least a new trial? Because the Trump immunity decision has an evidence component to it and it says that if there are deliberations about the internal operations of the executive branch going on, any kind of prosecutor can't solicit that evidence and then put it in in court. And that violates this, you know, principle in the, in the Trump case. Well, that's already happened in the case that secured the jury verdict against President Trump. They put Hope Hicks on the stand. And she talked about a meeting in the Oval Office, right? And so you can't tell me that that didn't have an impact on the jury. There's no way you can say that that didn't prejudice the trial. But the very least he needs a new trial. And indeed, I think it's worse than that. Because if they put her in front of the Pettit jury, right, the jury that actually, you know, holds your fate in their hands, not the preliminary jury of the grand jury. They also probably put that same information in front of the grand jury, right? They put, you know, they brought Hope Hicks in and she testified there or somebody did. And, you know, the whole proceeding, the whole indictment, therefore, is tainted and needs to go. And, and, and Alvin Bragg needs to start from scratch. So we'll see whether, you know, what Judge Mershan does that, but at least he's kind of, he's flinched and he's pushed things back until well after the election. And Judge Chetkin, you know, her approach is very different. She's, you know, splitting from him. They, they talked to her, President Trump's lawyers, John Laro, last Thursday, and said, Hey, you know, you should put this off until after the election in various ways. And she's like, election, I don't, I don't really compute, you know, does not compute. I'm not here about an election. I'm here about a four count indictment. That's only why I'm here. And this is the same judge who rushed to try to overrule President Trump's immunity motion that ultimately went to the Supreme Court where she got overruled and where the appellate court in between her and President Trump. They were three judge panel. They got, you know, overruled by the Supreme Court to, you know, so the idea that she didn't see the election as a factor. If that were true, she wouldn't have been rushing things earlier. But anyway, she's now going to press ahead. The date for your viewers and listeners to watch in her proceedings in D.C. with Jack Smith's case there against President Trump is September 26 because Jack Smith is being allowed to put in evidence and legal argument to try to overcome President Trump's immunity defenses, or even stronger in the Jack Smith case than they are in the case up in New York because there was conduct that predated the election that was put to the jury in the, in the Judge Mershan case. And that's not impacted by the immunity decision, right, because you can't have a presidential immunity before you actually become president, but, you know, they did put in post presidential evidence too and that's the problem. But for Jack Smith's case, it's all evidence about his time as president. And so it's all suspect, and it really should be swept off the map by the immunity decision. But Judge Chetkin's apparently going to let Jack Smith take his best shot to bring President Trump down with that and pollute the election and impact the election and interfere in the election. And indeed, worse yet, she's letting Jack Smith get the last word on that. It's not President Trump who gets the last word on the issue of whether he's immune or not. It's Jack Smith who does. You know, we had to ask you, Jeff, because we did a good, you know, scrub with the media the other day and whether or not it was some of the people who were, you know, covering the preliminary items that are going around with these things talking about Judge Chetkin's new highlights or the length of Jack Smith's beard and how refreshed everybody looked heading back in the court. You couldn't really get any material in there outside of people like yourself that we just asked. Obviously, others like Julie Kelly online who do some fantastic work has been on the show a couple of times as well to really bring it into perspective for our listenership. Last thing I wanted to touch with you on. Got a movie coming out here soon. We had Kingsley Wilson on the show last week. She's over at the Center for a New American with you guys as well, a regular guest and commentator here on State for Breakfast. She had brought it up, we volleyed back and forth about it over the weekend, but now I guess since we have the man who the movie is essentially named after on the show right now, it's called Fearless at the Point of Attack, the Jeff Clark story. We want to get a little bit of commentary from you on what exactly we should be expecting coming down the pike here. Well, thanks for asking about that. So the movie is going to come out on the Jeff Clark story dot com. So the Jeff Clark story dot com. And you gave the title and Steve Bannon's in it, Matt Gaetz is in it. A couple of three of my lawyers are in it. Cleta Mitchell's in it. I'm very honored that they decided to participate in the movie and also let me tell some of my story from how I went from the heights of having 1400 lawyers report to me at the just department and being regarded as a legal expert on a lot of topics and an excellent appellate litigator who's argued in all 13 of the federal circuits and worked on a lot of Supreme Court cases to boot to magically because I touched the election, I questioned the election. I thought Donald Trump was right to question the election, especially in Georgia, that I have my former colleagues who are timid souls or worse saying basically that I'm a toady who would do anything asked that I had no real qualifications for anything, you know, arguing that because my career was focused more civilly than criminally, even though I did supervise many criminal prosecutions at the at the just department that I had not been a primary criminal lawyer and therefore I was not qualified to become the acting attorney general, which I was for about nine hours on January 3, 2021. But, you know, they gloss over the fact and totally ignore the fact that Bill Barr never prosecuted a criminal case. Jeff Rosen, the acting attorney general at the time who didn't want to do any more election investigations, he never prosecuted a criminal case. So again, you know, like the two tiered system of justice, it's a two tiered attack strategy, right? They basically just lie about you, they create a narrative, and they try to make you look bad. And, you know, at that time when the January 6 committee was rolling out hearings against me, you know, they had a whole day dedicated one and then they did a revisiting me hearing later in the summer of 2022. That's also the same time that two other things dropped against me so you can see what a target I am. That's when they raided my house, the DOJ inspector general's office in June of 2022. And that's when in July of 2022, the DC bar filed a public complaint against me trying to strip me of my law license. So the movie, it's, it's, it's relatively short, but I think it tells the story very effectively. And I think Kingsley who worked on it, she's very gifted in that area. It's relatively short, but relatively important for America to kind of connect the dots of everything that's gone on behind the scenes and publicly, I think, having to do with the law fair that extended not just to President Trump since he left office, but to his strongest supporters and the people who were unwaving. And they're not only, you know, supportive of him, but friendship and relationships with him as well. Jeff has always, this has been great catching up with you today. We haven't done it in a while. Hopefully we'll be doing it sooner and on a more frequent basis. We'd love to have you on the show just about as much as possible. We've got the Center for Renewing America live link in the show description today. Anything else you want live linked or where we could find on social media, just let us know and we'll do it as well. Sure. I'm at Jeff Clark, US on X. That's my main platform. And this is the former two time assistant US Attorney General of the United States. Mr. Jeff Clark, thanks for joining us today, sir. Have a great weekend. Thanks. You too. Always glad to be here. She was a no show at the Fox debate, you know, Fox invited her. She was a no show. I sat with the great Sean Hannity. Does anybody know Sean Hannity? Good man. He's not good man. And I said, "Where is she?" She didn't show, so we did a town hall. And he got great ratings on that town hall. I'll tell you right now. Got really great lead. All of television for the week. That's not bad, right? Simple town hall turned out to be a town hall from what it was supposed to be, but she didn't show up. And refused also to do NBC and CBS. She went over to ABC, which in my opinion has taken a big hit because these two people were bad news. They kept screaming at me. I said, "Why are you screaming?" I said to himself, "I'm looking at him. I always liked him. I'm not going to watch him anymore. I'm not going to watch him because he's not legit what he did. I'm not going to watch him." And his hair's not as good as it used to be, you know. Kamala should focus on what she should have done during the last almost four-year period. All right. Jump back into the news portion of the show here today on the first of two big Friday editions of the "Stake America's Podcast." Man, what a great segment we had with former two-time deputy U.S. Attorney General Jeff Clark as he's doing great work now at the Center for a New England America. He works very closely with some of our great friends like Kingsley Wilson, who's the media director there. And Wade Miller, who's going to be joining us on the back end of our second edition of "Stake for Breakfast Today." So jumping into the remarks that Donald Trump delivered yesterday to supporters out in Tucson, Arizona. Battlegrounds say that he's looking to reclaim now in the 2024 presidential election cycle, something critical. It's part of the Sun Belt that would help out the equation, which gets him over 270 and back into the White House. We're going to be catching up with the senior editor at large of Newsweek, Josh Hammer, at the end of this segment around out the first edition of the show. And then again, as aforementioned at the top of our first edition, James Blair from the Trump campaign, and Wade Miller from the Center for a New America will be joining us in our next edition of "Stake for Breakfast" as well. So Noah, now that Kamala Harris thinks she won the debate, she wants another one. And, you know... Good. Yeah, I don't know if Donald Trump's for it, though. You know, it's one of those things... Well, he's going to have to do it because they're going to use that as ammunition if he doesn't. And the pencils of her doing that well twice are slim to none. What stipulations would you think he'd have to... And remember, regardless of what Donald Trump says this week, it doesn't mean that there's not going to be a debate two, three weeks from now. You do have to take into consideration know how soon it would need to occur, basically because early voting starting in places like Pennsylvania and North Carolina, just essentially a couple days here. So we don't want to run into a situation where we're having a debate after like a month of early voting and some of these critical battleground or swing states like we did. Let's just say in the 2022 midterm election cycle between Dr. Oz and Senator Federman. So, you know, it's one of those things that timing is definitely something that he'd taken into consideration. And Donald Trump did give an answer on where he stands on it today, yesterday, out in Arizona. He would continue to bash fake news ABC, and we're going to play a little bit more of it. We can't let that happen. We can't let that happen again. But when they had exit polls 2016, and they said, "Oh, he's getting killed in the exit polls." And I remember NBC and that stupid ABC that did this horrible debate, those two people should be fired as an anchor. A couple of more years they'll be fired. And she was nasty. She looked at me with hatred in her eyes. And him is a nice guy. I mean, they were told to do it by George Slopadopoulos, who's in the group. He's in the group, apparently. You know who's going to hit him? David Mears a wet noodle anyways. But, you know, I think one of the biggest takeaways that we've kind of been talking about since our Wednesday edition of the podcast is, I don't really think the people were fooled as they might have been in election cycles past because, you know, their situation is so bleak. It's like really hard to be able to live your life these days and having to worry about, you know, whether or not Kamala Harris was able to, you know, posterize Donald Trump at all or that, you know, the gang of three was able to, to be in Mupp a little bit during this debate. I think when you look at what's being offered here, you have to take into consideration the person that could make your situation your life better. Yeah, what is being offered here? She's not really offering anything except I'm not Trump. I'm not Trump. And that's enough for a lot of the voters. Yeah, I don't think the public was fooled. I think, you know, in a lot of instances they're starting to see right through this. In this finite amount of time we have between now and November 5th, I think it's almost a perfect storm circulating for President Trump. When you talk about, you know, maybe some independent and some traditional Democrat, obviously, moderate Republican voters, you know, he's starting to feel the same way. Let's hear it. With the guns, with the fracking, with everything we mentioned, she had many years of tapes, but the public was not fooled. They saw right through it, Kamala's lies and unprecedented partisan interference of two low life anchors and low lives. For them to do what they did, and they wouldn't correct her on, like, Project 25. I don't know what the hell it is. I purposely have not read it. I could, but I don't want to because they never had my authorization. And for them to allow her to get away with me, everything I said, well, we don't think it's true like the crime statistics. The FBI didn't report the most crime-ridden cities. They didn't do it. When you see the data, the data that's come out to me, we haven't heard from him for a while. You know, I had a clip saved on our Tuesday or Wednesday edition of the show from him because he did, like, a little fireside chat on the state of the Department of Homeland Security. And for all the long-winded bullshit answer he gave on essentially running an open border and trying to get amnesty for everybody he thought at the end of the day. You ready for this? A hundred members, the head of the Department of Homeland Security, the current DHS Secretary thinks that deportations in any context is immoral. Yeah, so the only kind of fireside chat I want to hear from him is, I would just like to make an announcement that the data shows that I've been fired. Yeah, can't wait for that day. Seriously now. You know, when there were people on the back end of this debate that was accusing President Trump of a couple of things, one of them was being angry. Well, he was. And he was. For good reason. I mean, when they tried to pin Charlottesville hoaxes, suckers and losers, January 6's, dissolving the Constitution, dictator on day one, dictator enthusiast, and all these other things. On him with no pushback, no fact checking and no support. Yeah, that had to be extremely frustrating. And again, watching it a second and looking at clips in the third time context here, I really didn't think he went off the rails. I just thought he was just like, fuck is going on here? No, I think he just let it get to him a little bit. And then the, you know, the fog of war kind of got into his head and he just kind of grayed out. Was that kind of like the Chihuahua with the combat helmet on, like seeing the helicopters in Vietnam? Yeah, it happens to the best of us. Again, 54 days of no Kamala press conferences, now 53 days until election day. And I'm watching Donald Trump on TV at his beautiful golf course in Rancho Palace Verde, California. He just did a full on press conference and guess what he's doing now? He's taking questions from the media and it's live on every major news channel. But getting back to this, every time he got pissed off during that debate, he did try to circle back to one item. And I think it's, you know, probably the gold standard that he considers as part of his campaign platform. That's the open border and how that is negatively affecting everything in this country. He kind of led into a little bit of that train of thought during the debate. Let's hear it. There will be no third debate. It's too late anyway, the voting's already begun. You've got to go out and vote. We've got to vote. This is going to be the most important vote in the history of our country. It'll be the most important. People said that I was angry at the debate, angry. I was angry. And yes, I am angry because he allowed 21 million illegal aliens invading our communities. Many of them are criminals. Many are criminals. I'm angry! Thank you very much. They said he's an angry person. No, they're destroying our country. You know, she's smiling, all practiced, right? She's like a...we're talking about a border invasion, the likes of which no country has ever suffered. And she's like this. But I am angry about Venezuelan gangs taking over Aurora, Colorado. And illegal Haitians, and he came in, illegal Haitian migrants taking over a beautiful place. It was so beautiful. Springfield, Ohio. I was there. I can't paint there a while ago. Springfield, it was so beautiful. Now it's just what a place. Can you imagine you have this small little community? All of a sudden you have 20,000 illegals in your community. Nobody knows where they come from. I'm angry about young American girls being raped and sodomized and murdered by savage criminal aliens. I'm angry about rampant inflation destroying our middle class and the American people are also very angry about that. Well, at least now we know what he was angry about. Yep. And it's the truth. You know, you have to be able to hear it. You have to be able to itemize these things. And like he's done out on the campaign trail, you have to be able to provide the solutions based off of A, the receipts that he has from his first term in office. Be how parts of the Trump doctrine are evolving into what agenda 47 will look like. Guys, wherever you listen to the show today, glad you're here with us. Need you to help us out. At the show, it was reported during the debate that Tulsi Gabbard and R.F.K. Jr. are going to be crisscrossing around the country in what they're calling a reclaim America, make America healthy again campaign tour in support of real Donald Trump. And his election hopes, what do you think of that Noah? It's not a terrible idea, I guess. No, I mean, we talked about it after the debate and, you know, when you're looking at some of the dynamics that Donald Trump's presenting as part of his election pitch to the electorate, I would like to see both of these people speaking on his behalf out on the campaign trail. I really would, talking about not only the broad nature of the America First Movement, but the diversity that this not diversity, equity and inclusion, maybe the different dynamic. How about that one that we're going to see in a second Trump administration, which includes people like R.F.K. Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. They've already announced some dates tomorrow, which will be Saturday, they'll be in Phoenix, Arizona, Vegas on the 21st, and Charlotte, North Carolina on the 28th of September. More dates to be added soon, according to the Trump campaign website. You know, it's pretty funny, we've seen a lot of people coming out of the woodworks getting involved in this election cycle more than we have traditionally in elections past, and that's because the rise of social media and the reach that it has. If some sports superstar or actor, actress, performing artist comes out and says, you know, vote for this person, then it has a lot more influence than it's ever had. You know, with the announcement of Taylor Swift this week, it's kind of backfired a little bit, in my opinion, because I've seen Swift Easter Trump picking up and trending on places like TikTok and Instagram. But Donald Trump thinks at the end of the day, and even though they go out and overtly talk shit about him, he thinks an overwhelming majority of the Hollywood elites actually vote for him when they go inside the ballot box on Election Day, and that's because of all the financial benefits that they usually read based of all from all of his policies. Let's check it out. They want low taxes, no crime, great schools, strong military, they don't want a border invasion, they don't want people pouring across the border illegally from prisons and places. So they go in, they say, no, no, I'm not for Trump at all, I will never vote for him, then they go in. He pressed the Trump button, and then gave a thumbs up. No, this is it, you know, I kind of, you ever get that feeling like this is literally it. Like this is it, we're getting to November 5th. This is it, this literally is it. We cannot survive another four years of this insanity, it's going to be a disaster that we cannot come back from. No, I know, but this is it for Donald Trump. Like we're not going to get another one of these. We're never going to get a rally season, we're never going to get, I sent you the video of the 9/11 Warro the other day. And it turned into like an episode to the office when whoever was filming was panning. Oh yeah. And then he just saw Donald Trump's eyebrows go up so he goes to the right and then comes back to the left and Donald Trump's looking right at him with pointing at him and he gives a thumbs up. And you can see he's working on a tic-tac and he kind of does that little iconic, teethless Trump smirk. And I'm just like, we're never getting this again. No one feels this comfortable in their own skin as like a famous billionaire political icon that Donald Trump does. This guy could literally get off of Trump Force One, hop in the beast, drive out to like the shit shovelers convention, get out of the car, throw on some waiters and stand next to these people and talk to them about stuff that they actually care about and to be relevant. There's no one else in politics that could do that. I love some of our America First Congressmen and women, those in the Senate, governors that are funny, that are based, that speak well. You know, even outside of people like Wesley Hunt and Gates who just have like those absolutely sharp personalities, they still can't do it the same way Trump does. You know, I don't care if they hop on a skateboard. I don't care if they're savvy on social media. He just does it different. And the guy is almost 80 years old. You wouldn't think it if you saw he, he's sitting there making jokes about himself. He's like literally acting out these Hollywood actors going into the ballot box. Like he's looking in both directions. He's doing like the little whisper finger over his lips and then he's like presses the button and gives a thumbs up. It's like, you can't reciprocate that. It would be so fake if other people did it. Yeah. I saw Kamala Harris and you know, Tim Moss. They cursed on the campaign trail for like two days and then they're like, this makes my skin crawl because it's not organic. We're not going to do it. It looks absolutely cringe-worthy. And you know, in addition, you want to talk about, well, you have the new policies that are coming down. We touched on it at the beginning of our show and we've already got no tax on tips. I think that Donald Trump is looking for a way logistically to eliminate income tax in its entirety. He took another step towards eventually getting towards that in an upcoming Trump presidency. And that's no taxes on overtime pay. Absolutely game changer. Let's hear it. I'm also announcing that as part of our additional tax cuts, we will end all taxes on overtime. You know what that means? Think of that. Think of that. Think of that. That gives people more of an incentive to work. It gives the companies a lot. It's a lot easier to get the people. And you know, I went to some economists, great ones, and I said, what do you think? They said it would be unbelievable. You'll get a whole new workforce by doing that. No taxes on overtime. The people who work overtime are among the hardest-working citizens in our country. And for too long, no one in Washington has been looking out for them. Those are the people. They really work. They're police officers, nurses, factory workers, construction workers, truck drivers, and machine operators. It's time for the working man and woman to finally catch a break, and that's what we're doing, because this is a good one. And I think it's going to be great for the country. So that's why we will be saying that if you're an overtime worker when you're past 40 hours a week, think of that. Your overtime hours will be tax-free, okay? Good. You're going to have it. Okay, good. You like that? I love it. What an incentive. Just imagine all these families that are working two jobs or endlessly at their primary career and getting so many hours out of the home, non-valued, and the amount of money they bring home every time they get paid, because they're working, let's say, 50, 60, 70 hours, just to be able to put roof over their head and food on the table. And 40% of that is gone in taxes. But it's just enough. Just imagine if you were able to keep it all. You want to talk about turning this economy around. Noah, for hobbyists like yourself, are your nips hard? A little bit. A little bit. A little bit. Just a little bit. It's an absolute game changer. And listen, I can assure you, this is in the last amazing policy that's going to get jumped into this election thread before we go to the ballot box on November 5th. You know, Donald Trump had started a couple trends this week. One of them was the remixing of the dogs and cats being eaten by Haitian refugees in Springfield, Ohio. That is absolutely exploded on Twitter and TikTok and Instagram with people coming up with dances for it, them doing montages of pets, and all of the funny stuff you'd expect. When you have, in some context, as a comedic talking point like that and others, extremely sad, because if it is happening, it's absolutely the worst thing imaginable outside of them doing it to people. Donald Trump, as we mentioned on the show, referred to some of the 911 calls that have been circulating in the news recently about the shit that's going on in places like Springfield, Ohio. And listen, the guy makes a case for it. You've seen it in city council meetings, you've seen roving reporters find citizens on the streets. It's not just like the eating of the pets either. Dude, have you heard about the uptick in car accidents, like car accidents in Springfield, Ohio, or up like 400%? I've seen a bunch of the pictures and like, where are these guys getting these newer cars? Like, I understand if it's like a 1997 Tercel or something, but these are like newer, I mean, maybe the rentals. Tercel? Tercel? Talking about a Volkswagen Fox. Remember those bad bears? Yeah. Those things were tanks. But no, it's the truth. And then I even seen some investigative journalists go out to the local DMV that's in or adjacent to Springfield, Ohio, and they start questioning the workers there, and they're like, "Are there drivers licenses transferring over from Haiti?" And they're like, "No, you're not allowed to do that." So they're passing the test, and they're like, "Oh, we're not allowed to answer any questions about that." And then they like track one lady out, and she almost said like, "We've just been told to give it to them." And she wouldn't answer the question. So essentially, you can assume that they're just giving drivers licenses to Haitian refugees and fraudulent asylum seekers that are getting dumped in places like Springfield, Ohio. Donald Trump referenced back to the 911 calls that he at least heard and used his reference point during the presidential debate. In the past three and a half years, Harris Biden administration has resettled a half a million illegal immigrants from the failed state of Haiti, which is a totally failed country, a very sad situation. Called it a shit hole at one point. Over 200,000 who Kamala has illegally flown into the United States by airplane, think of that. And they're coming out of Haiti and they're coming out of other failed countries at levels that nobody has ever seen before. In addition to Aurora, Colorado, there's a place called Springfield, Ohio that you've been reading about 20,000 illegal Haitian immigrants have descended upon the town of 58,000 people destroying their entire way of life. This was a beautiful community, and now it's horrible. What's happened? Enrollment of the state's Medicaid and food assistance programs have soared. Motor vehicle accidents have skyrocketed in the recording of 911 calls, even show residents are reporting that the migrants are walking off with the town's geese. They take into geese. You know where the geese are in the park, in the lake, and even walking off with their pets. My dog's been taken. My dog's been taken. This can only happen. These people are the worst. I'm telling you, Biden and Kamala, this is the worst combination in the history of our country. The only one happy is Jimmy Carter, because he's no longer referred to as the worst president in history. Well, the only similarity between Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden right now is the fact that they're both catatonic and have no idea where they are at most points of the day. Seems legit. Yeah, last point that he's going to make, and I think it's big. And man, I've been looking at some of these videos because, you know, they're doing a lot of these stories now. The media is descending on Springfield, Ohio, and they're either going to skirt the story or they're going to expose the story, but the news is going to come out of there. They got a lot of drone footage if they're just like rolling through neighborhoods. And I know there are some parts of Springfield, Ohio that, you know, are engulfed in extreme poverty. And that's like the way with most small communities, man, that place is absolutely beautiful, though. You want to talk about like places that you want to live that is just like the heartland of America with like rolling streets and property and big, huge trees in between houses and stuff to where like, it's like you see a rooftop every couple hundred yards. Not like out here in Southern California where I could literally reach into my neighbor's house for my second story if I wanted to push through the screen. And, you know, to see what has happened there, the governor now is sending the National Guard to deal with it. The governor now is having to appoint resources because of the language barrier. No one speaks Creole. No one speaks French. You know, you have at least 20,000 fraudulent asylum seekers, probably thousands of kids that have been put into these school communities. They don't know the language. They don't know the educational system. They've never been in school before. And you're dealing with ages K through high school. You know, what that does to a community I heard people are getting. People are getting moved out of their rental properties because the government is going to property owners and saying, "Hey, listen, we need housing for all of these legal Haitians that were dumping into the community." Like, what's the lease look like here? Oh, it's month to month. Get them out and I'll pay you double. That's literally happening. People are getting their benefits not met because the illegals are being allowed to cut U.S. citizens at the benefit offices at the food banks. It's just absolutely ridiculous. You know, Donald Trump had a couple more policy points that I want to touch on. No, I think these are huge. That he touched on in this event that didn't make it to the Final Cut for State of Breakfast. So there will be a federal mortgage lender ban on anyone who does not have status in the United States here moving forward. If you are not a legal permanent resident here on a visa that allows you to do that kind of business in the United States or U.S. citizen, you are banned from having a mortgage. That's really who's doing that. Donald Trump announced it during this speaking event yesterday. That's perfect. In addition, he said there will be no zero. Just imagine the hundreds of millions, if not billions of dollars we're putting to it. Remember, $451 billion, half a trillion, half a trillion dollars just this year alone to take care of all the eagles that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have ushered into this country. There will be no subsidized rental property available for the eagles in the United States anymore. Donald Trump even said, if we get into sanctuary states and cities where governors are going to try and virtue single, he's like, I will cut federal funding in things that they need if they want to subsidize rental properties and housing for eagles to make the market prices go down and make it competitive to be able to live in this country again. Those two components right there are huge. That would drive down the price of everything that has to do with real estate and the rental apparatus. That currently most Americans are priced out of right now. You're either sitting in your house that is falling apart around you. You're either having properties be built that are going to be stuffed with the eagles and ruin your community. Bring down the property value of the house that you can't sell or afford right now. Or you're someone that's looking to eventually partake in the American dream and buy a home and you're getting priced out by companies that are buying them up and giving them to eagles. So lots of stuff that he focused on here, he promised that he will save the suburbs and the heartland of America from the radical left. Let's hear it. Finally, I will save America's suburbs by protecting single family zoning. The radical left wants to abolish the suburbs by forcing apartment complexes and low income housing into the suburbs right next to your beautiful house. Right next you have a beautiful house and they want a nice low income building to be right next to you. I will end this Marxist crusade. I did it, you know. I did it five, six years ago. I did it and the suburbs were safe. That's why when they say suburban women maybe don't like Trump. I think they're wrong. I think they love me. I do. I never had problems with women. I never had any problems. But they say suburban women. So they live in the suburbs and I'm the one that says you can't build a low income apartment house where people want to... do harm when they move in right next to your beautiful little house, right? And then I hear the women don't like me. They women want strong borders. They don't want to be hurt, molested, killed. They want their family to be safe. They want a strong military so we're not going to be attacked by anybody. Peace through strength. You know, we've even seen it out here in California a lot. People are getting or applying to be qualified to have houses and regular neighborhoods, not even like low income apartments or low income housing. They're taking regular houses and neighborhoods and setting them aside as section 8s. Then they're allowing people within the section 8 community to rent them. The people from the section 8 community are coming into places in California now, going into these homes and then renting them out to illegals who have no status here and taking more money than they're being charged for their section. Because let's just say if a rental property costs $3,000 a month to rent out in California, which would essentially be like a shed with outdoor plumbing. The government will pay $2,900 of that a month and a section 8er will be responsible for, let's say, $100 of that a month. That's literally like the equation that goes into a lot of this out here when it comes. So now the government is paying the homeowner nearly the entirety of the mortgage. The section 8er is only paying $100 and then they're renting it out to an illegal for, let's say, $1,500 a month and not even living in the section 8 house. It's like the biggest scam in the history of scams. But in places like Gavin Newscombe's California, it's been allowed to happen and it's happened a lot more frequently. So I just think it's crazy, but at the same time, it's something that Donald Trump is very focused in on and looking to, I mean, they're even going to have any kind of lender that wants to give home loans and mortgages out. Moving forward, Donald Trump's going to put a federal mandate into where they have to prove citizenship or status, or they don't get it, period. The banks will be defunded, the banks will be penalized, and he's not going to let this continue to happen to where people are getting the American dream without essentially being allowed to partake in it. So I like it, and as we're going to wrap here, we're going to play a little bit of a portion of the closeout. Let's take it out. November 5th, we will save our economy, we will rescue our middle class, we will reclaim our sovereignty and restore our borders, and we will always put America first. We will take back our country, Arizona. Thank you very much, and God bless you all. Thank you. Thank you very much. Prepare for rendition of the Trump Noah. Well, it wasn't a rally. It was a remarks delivering, and Donald Trump definitely did that, talking about a lot of new policy points, giving his ultimate commentary on the debate and how he felt about honestly doing a third one. In addition, talking about defending our rights, our sovereignty, and protecting everywhere from the suburbs, back down to the big city in the US, southern border in the United States. What do you think, rate it? I mean, I'm not giving me less than nine five. Is that where we're at? It might be higher than that. I'm just saying. I'm thinking nine six nine seven only because he was doing a lot of the Trump role playing. I really, you know, I got hooked on the people in Hollywood who go into the ballot box and say they're voting for the Democrat and then press the button for Trump and then he gave the thumbs up. I liked it. I'll give it a nine seven and we'll leave it at as we get ready to jump in with Newsweek's Josh and before we do another check in with one of our partners. He's the senior editor at large at Newsweek. He's also the host of the Josh Hammer show and America on trial with Josh Hammer kind of spoiled it. But we're welcoming back Mr. Josh Hammer. Thanks for coming on. Always a pleasure. Thanks for having me. Love to have you and let's jump right into this. So the debate happened this week. You know, he's the way I kind of looked at it. Josh, maybe you could tell me how you did afterwards. In the heat of the moment, I was emotional. I saw after Kamal Harris didn't answer the first question how the moderators were going to behave exactly where this was going. We were subjected to it for 90 plus minutes. I kind of watched Donald Trump in the spin room and do some commentary after. I kind of caught my breath and I went back later that night. I rewatched the entire debate from start to finish. And you know, for all the policy points domestic and on the border that he hit the strong finish he had on foreign policy and then his closing statement, I kind of walked away by saying that you want to know what for what she offered, which was essentially nothing and a whole lot of lying. Donald Trump was able to get those points across and he finished extremely strong. It seems like the polling and commentary that are coming out post debate seems to suggest the same thing, but I want to know how you feel. Yeah, I basically agree with what you just said. I think there was essentially a draw. I think the people that are on the right who are ringing their hands and the people who are on the left who are beating their chest and thumping in with this triumph that Oh, Kamal Harris wiped the floor with Don. No, she didn't. I mean, no, she didn't know she did. She didn't know such thing. I mean, I heard maybe one public policy, maybe one that was actually announced on that stage. And you know, the most important parts of a debate. This is this is maybe the most important point. I think the most important parts of the debate are when you have the most eyeballs glued in and the clips that the media are going to play on repeat in both video and audio fashion. Those are the opening call at 10 minutes and the concluding statements. Those are the two most important parts of the debate. The middle is whatever. And I think most undecided voters probably tuned out somewhere in the middle. Anyway, if I had to guess, sure Donald Trump was much, much stronger than she was in the opening. Let's call it 10 15 minutes. Did he get sidetracked in the middle? Yeah, of course he did. The moderators did their job there. It was a 301 gang up. You and I both know that's how that's how it goes down where you have an outlet. Like ABC moderating. But in the beginning, he was on point. She was, I mean, she was so nervous. Like my wife and I looked at each other. We were like, Oh my God, like her legs going to collapse. I mean, her legs trembling. I mean, she was palpably nervous out there. Like her voice was like quivering. And Donald Trump had a very strong closing statement. So, I mean, am I going to say that he demolished her and won the debate? No, I'm not going to say that, but I think that it was a draw. I do not think that it affects the outcome of the race one way or the other. I do not think that it's going to move the needle. I thought that Donald Trump was in better shape to win than to lose on the day of the debate. And that is still what I think today. Yeah, no, I agree with you. And I think when you talk about moving the needle or listen, I don't think it really changed any voters minds either because when you look at the focus groups, especially we played several clips on our Wednesday edition of the show and our post debate recap. I played ones from CNN and Fox News, ABC, even Dr. Phil. It's like, you know, there was even people who were like, I went in wanting to vote for Kamala Harris, but I can't because she can't tell me what she's running on. And it seems like Josh, is that the elitist nature of the Democrat party right now really doesn't care how bad America is in shape wise? Like they don't understand that people literally can't pay to live. And all the news that they see on their TV 24/7 is bad whether it's either pointed at President Trump or all the crime that's going on, the wars that never end, the border that's never closing. And then Joe Biden walking around putting on MAGA hats. I don't want to call it a redemption arc, but it was definitely funny. You know, it's one of those things where I just think they're taken for granted how bad of a shape this country is in right now, how bad people are hurting. Not just the middle class, but it's just about anyone who's not an elite millionaire or billionaire in this country. And they don't honestly care. They're going to try and, you know, shovel them the same narratives. They're going to run the same basement campaign that they did with Joe Biden. They're going to bust people in for these things that they call rallies and I'm airquoting now and they're going to think that everybody's going to be stupid and come November 5th, but I just don't see it happening. Look, the real-care politics pulling average right now for the direction of the country is straight up, right track, wrong track dichotomy. 31 points underwater. By a 31-point margin, the American people think that this country is not headed in the right direction. You would like to think that if you had been the sitting vice president of the United States for the past three and a half, almost four years, and you are now seeking a full term at the top of the ticket yourself, the leader of the so-called free world, you would like to think that you would be able to announce a plan to distinguish somehow from what has gone wrong according to the American people over the past three and a half, four years. We heard none of that. Literally none of it. She did not try to distance herself at all from her catastrophically unpopular, just boss technically, the president of the United States, Joe Biden. I mean, I say technically, no one knows who's running the country right now, obviously, but I mean, we obviously heard nothing whatsoever from Kamala Harris. Look, there is one reason and one reason only why I think undecided swing state independent voters and so forth might vote for Kamala Harris, which is for the very simple reason that they suffer from TDS, Trump to Rangeman syndrome. That is basically the only reason out there. There are some people out there who just hate Donald Trump with such a passion that they probably do not care. Obviously, you and I both know that's ludicrous. Dennis Prager syndicated column this week was actually dedicated to this exact subject. Dennis made the very astute point that who that care is whether or not you actually personally like the person that should matter whether or not they're going to do well for the border economy and so forth there. But I mean, other than that, other than that, I cannot think of a single reason why any undecided swing state voter out there would in his or her right mind ever consider pulling the trigger. And you know what, I guess I'll end on this note, there was a very interesting New York Times, the college poll from this past Sunday that showed Trump up one point nationally on Kamala Harris in the actual horse race polling. But if you look at the cross tabs, there was an even more interesting cross tab, which was roughly 52 to 53% of memory serves of Americans. 52 to 53% said that Donald Trump is the candidate of change in this election. Rather, they said that Kamala Harris, only 25%, only only a quarter of Americans say that she's a candidate of change. If you take that and then you look at the other staff that I gave earlier about how the right track wrong track dichotomy is 31 points underwater. I mean, that strongly suggests that Donald Trump is in a lot better of shape than the right-wing handringers and the left-wing chest thumpers are telling us. It's unavoidable points that you have to talk about. And then when you look at where the selection is going to be won, let's talk about the battleground states. You got North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin. When you just look at the amount of mail-in ballots that aren't going out in this election, just Georgia and North Carolina, I think it's over 800. And over 700,000 respectively, less mail-in ballots. And people who voted in the 2020 presidential election historically that received those mail-in ballots hadn't voted in the six cycles previous to that. You know, the Democrats talk about their ground game. They talk about how much more money they have on Donald Trump. Obviously, they're getting a lot of these polls. Ash or turf. I see the ones where Kamala Harris looks the strongest. It's either D plus three going up to almost D plus 10. Or they're just not considering a lot of the cross tabs and not finding independent voters or people that are undecided. To be factored into this as well. It seems like the Democrats have their work cut out for them. Regardless of what the mainstream media wants to make Kamala Harris look like, but getting the job done on November 5th. Even with early voting starting in places like Pennsylvania and North Carolina. A very short amount of time here. The Democrats do have their work cut out for them. They definitely have their work cut out for them. Look, if you want to just look at the actual seven states that are going to decide this election because it is seven states specifically. It's Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, North Carolina, and then the three blue wall rust belt states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. There hasn't been a lot of swing state polling since the debate. But I didn't notice that there was one insider advantage poll out of the state of Michigan. Which, if anything, is probably the furthest reach actually of the three rust belt states for Donald Trump. Perhaps the most likely to go for Kamala. Even this one poll since the debate actually had Trump up one in Michigan. If that's even remotely close to true of the debate not changing the trajectory of this particular race there. I think Kamala Harris is in a world of hurt in basically all of those sun belt states that I just mentioned. There have been some North Carolina polls that are starting to get a little dicey. Hopefully the Trump campaign can kind of double down in North Carolina. But I do not think that she is in anything remotely resembling good shape out west in Arizona or Nevada there. Nevada, you have to remember Nevada has not actually voted for a Republican in a presidential candidate. Going back, I believe since George W. Bush all the way in 2004. It's been a very long time since that state actually voted. If Trump can actually pick it off, which it looks like he is well positioned to do. It's basically just going to take then a high profile state such as Pennsylvania. And then it's basically ball game from there and Pennsylvania right now is looking pretty good for Donald Trump. No, it certainly does. When you talk about the attack on the American energy industry that Kamala Harris has presented as part of her platform that she just won't give a firm answer on the shape of the economy. And then the migrant crisis that's been afflicting in addition to the homelessness epidemic, the crime and drug use that's going on in the biggest cities of Pennsylvania. It just seems like the people have woken up and that's the next question I wanted to ask you. Do you think they're not going to be able to AstroTurf this on TV and with campaign messaging and with these fabricated rallies and things of that nature, Josh? Do you think more of America is woken up to what's going on right now? More aware of their surroundings and how much more dangerous and less prosperous it's gotten over the course of the last nearly four years and that they will vote for a change come November 5th? I do think that if the election were held tomorrow that Donald Trump would win and look, I'm not going to lie to the audience to say that I would take it to the bank and bet the ranch on it. It's going to be a close election. It's going to be close. It's going to come down just as it just as it did in 2020 to a fairly small margin and a fairly small number of swing states. But I mean, let's go back and look at 2016 and 2020 compared to right now. I am not even remotely convinced that pollsters have solved a lot of the fundamental systemic issues that plagued them back in 2016 and 2020. My friend Ryan, Ryan Gredeski, had a really nice piece on this for the American conservative a couple weeks ago where he basically said that older liberals in particular right now are disproportionately answering the phone when pollsters call in a way that, in a way that conservatives just are not. And this is the so-called Bill Bradley effect where you have kind of this continued social stigma for people that are too afraid to tell pollsters what they actually think about Trump. And Ryan has a lot of data on this. I think it's accurate. So you kind of look at the national horse race real clear politics average has common essentially up by one and a half points right now in the national horse race. Again, you have some high quality pollsters like New York Times, CNN that have Trump actually up. So then you compare that back to 2020. Well, Joe Biden beats Trump by about four and a half points nationally in the national popular in 2020. That translates in electoral college terms to an excruciatingly narrow margin in like three or four swing states and states like Wisconsin, Arizona and so forth. There are Republicans have a built-in electoral college, a built an electoral college margin of victory right now. They really have a built-in advantage in the electoral college. So if the horse race polling is as close as it is and the structural systemic problems when it comes to polling have not been solved adequately, which I do not think they have been. Then I just continue to think that Donald Trump is in good care right now. Should it be this close? No. Can he do things to change it to make it less close? Yes, I think he can. Every single day from here on out from now till November. Literally every day, pick a theme and hit that theme hard. Immigration, economy, inflation, crime. Those are the four issues. Every single day that is not touching one of those four issues I think is a day wasted. If they can stick to that message discipline day in day out from now to November, I think they're in good shape. No, I think so as well. And I do want to kind of segue as there's been some other news this week outside of the presidential race. But I think it's a in response to, I mean, Donald Trump during the debate obviously mentioned the weapon eyes of the federal government and the justice system against him and people that are close to him. He was cut off by the moderators. Kamal Harris alluded to the fact that they'd be hearing a lot of lies on subjects like that throughout the course of the debate as well. But it was within 24 hours that Merrick Garland was out and delivering remarks, you know, standing up for the Biden administration, for the integrity of the DOJ that's saying that they haven't weaponized the government and federal law enforcement against political rivals of the, you know, the seated party in power, et cetera. And that they don't even use partisan politics when it comes down to weighing the way they're going through their cases. Now, Josh is someone that's a legal expert here is the best we're going to get on stake for breakfast, I would consider. You know, I know you have some very, well, non bias commentary on my Merrick Garland and his behavior since he's been the attorney general of the United States after you saw him and the way he reacted to Donald Trump's presidential debate commentary this week. What do you think? Yeah, we're to begin. Look, Merrick Garland claims that the Justice Department is so called independent. He claims there is not one rule for friends and different for foes that there is not one rule for the rich and the poor and for Republicans Democrats. So what he is saying in theory is the way the rule of law should be. It's actually right out of the Bible. I mean, it's literally right there in Leviticus that you should not that I judge in a case should not give undue weight to someone who is wealthy versus a pauper and vice versa there. So in theory, of course, he's right in practice, dude, what in the freaking mirror? I mean, what is wrong with you? I mean, does does so call a special counsel jack Smith work for you or does he not work for you? And it's kind of funny because the modern special counsel purports to actually work under the attorney general of the United States back in the day, back in the day of white water and Ken Starr and Clinton in the 1990s, we actually had a legitimate independent counsel. It was not a special counsel, but an independent counsel. They let that statute expire because just as Anthony and Scalia in a blistering solo descent in a late 1980s case called Morrison versus Olson, persuasively argued and his argument carried the day that an independent counsel which operated outside of the chain and command, the DOJ, was actually unconstitutional. That's why we have the modern special counsel who is indeed a direct legal and organizational subordinates to the attorney general. That's a very fancy legal way of saying that so called special counsel, Jack Smith, and I say so called because he's not been properly appointed as a lean cannon Florida and Clarence Thomas at both argued. But Jack Smith, regardless of whether or not he's been properly appointed or not, and he is not been, but regardless of that, he works for Merrick Garland. He is part of the chain and command. So Merrick Garland, you say you want an independent just apartment. Are you trying to toss your political opponent in jail or not? That is a very simple question. Donald Trump to his credit asked it on the debate, studied different language, but he asked the same question there. Merrick Garland is a hack and a fraud of the highest order. If he cannot honestly look in the mirror and try to shake his head at his own record and the fact that he is letting Jack Smith try to toss a former President of the United States in jail, let alone on the ridiculous grounds that he's trying to do it. You know, just based off the sole fact that he's called Donald Trump an insurrectionist and said that he led an insurrection against the Capitol on January 6th. I mean, he's inserting his personal opinion. I think the Attorney General of the United States, especially, you know, he could have gone ahead and appointed Jack Smith much to our chagrin and outside of the way of constitutionally or via the methods of Congress. It's normally appointed and done all of these things without going out and making these biased, pointed, partisan commentary on the notions. And it's like, where do you expect the surrogates or what kind of direction do you expect them to move underneath you as people that serve in the Justice Department and in federal law enforcement when conducting their investigations, when you're going out and making such biased and pointed opinion today of statements that are unproven true. And in some cases have already been ruled on in the state of the Supreme Court of the United States in regards to Donald Trump and what happened back on January 6th or even some of the other cases that have happened moving forward. Look, Merrick Garland has tipped his hand any number of times. I mean, we can go all the way back at least as far as the October 2021 memo that his DOJ sent out to the parents who were meeting at school boards all across the country rising up against the anti-white racial bigotry known as so-called critical race theory. He sent out a memo calling them a national security threat. We can talk about the the leak of the Dobbs case in May of 2022. This was the case that would eventually one month later overturn Roe versus Wade. There were so-called protesters who were threatening very violently at times outside of the Supreme Court justices homes trying to essentially force them into changing their mind and to preserving and upholding the abomination that was Roe versus Wade. You even had one deranged man from California fly all the way to Maryland attempting to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh. The dude had a gun. He had handcuffs. I mean, this is deranged stuff. There happens to be a direct statute on the books that prohibits it. It's a literally federal statute right there in 18 US code. It's right there that prohibits people from demonstrating outside of federal judges' homes with the intention of trying to get them to change their minds on a case. That statute went totally unenforced. I'll tell you what statutes do get enforced. The face act against pro-life grandmothers who are just protesting in abortion clinics. So, I mean, I could go on here. Steve Bannon and jail, Robert Navarro. I mean, it's crazy. I mean, what's happening right now when it comes to DOJ is just absolutely bonkers. Again, Steve Bannon literally sitting in a jail cell. That is basically evidence enough of this. And the fact that this man thinks that he is somehow upholding a neutral rule of law, I think speaks to his character tragically. No, it's the truth. I mean, even during the debate, Donald Trump tried to bring up the fact that he probably took a bullet to the head because of all the negative divisive, you know, rhetoric that's come out from the Democrats, especially from places like the DOJ, the FBI, and obviously the Biden Harris White House. But, you know, they were quick to cut him off. And then when he tried to even get the word assassination out, they moved on to the neck. Oh, we're talking about the economy, Mr. President. We got a lot of stuff. When you talk about they never went back to that or ask them all Harris about that, but they did want to ask Donald Trump, you know, in a section. Oh, you started January 6. Do you want to take responsibility for it? Donald Trump's like, "Come on, man. What's going on here?" It was just a joke. The Justice Department's a joke right now. I think Merrick Garland will probably go down as one of the best revenge hires in the history of the United States, obviously. He's taken it out on conservatives in ways that I didn't even think he'd be able to accomplish, but look, here we are. And, you know, the last thing I want to touch with you on Josh, we've had some developments out of Georgia. I've heard a couple more charges have been dropped against Donald Trump, or at least the case against him and the entity that they're looking to charge this week. I just want to wonder, on behalf of our listenership, if you had a chance to look into that or digest any of it, and maybe you could provide some insight for us as we're moving forward on it. Yeah. So, you know, if memory serves Judge Scott McAfee, who's the Georgia Superior Court judge in Fulton County, he did something similar in Fani Willis's case against Trump earlier this year, way back in January, February. So this is not the first time that he has pared down this indictment. So they basically dropped two of the charges. There are eight remaining, if I'm not mistaken, there in Fulton County, Georgia. It suggests that Scott McAfee is trying to be fair. I guess is what it suggests that he's continuing to try to look at this with a lens with a close scrutiny. Now, if he really had the courage of his conviction, Scott McAfee, if I can criticize him just for a second there, he would have followed what his instincts clearly told him to do back in March, which was to actually throw this case out of Fulton County, Georgia. If we all recall here, we had these evidentiary hearings about Fani Willis and Nathan Way, the illicit lover slash the so-called special prosecutor. And, you know, Georgia, Georgia ethical procedure and the relevant law is pretty clear of that. If there is a if there is an apparent conflict of interest, then the case has to be removed to a different jurisdiction. Unfortunately, that's not what McAfee did. He basically just said, okay, well, in order to get rid of this apparent or real conflict of interest, one of you has to go away if the other can stay. So that's how you got Nathan Wade who dropped out. Fani Willis stayed there. By the way, you might have seen last week how Fani Willis and Nathan Wade were actually seen again. There was a body camp footage when Fani Willis's daughter was pulled over for a speeding ticket in Georgia. So, you know, funny how that works. I mean, maybe they're still having an affair. Who knows? I guess God Almighty would be the one who knows that. But I digress. In any event, in this particular case, the Georgia Court of Appeals is going to come back into session in two to three weeks or so early October. And they're going to review Scott McAfee's attempt to solemnly split the baby, so to speak, when it came to the Nathan Wade Fani Willis thing. They're going to rule whether or not Fani Willis indeed has to give up this case. That case is not going anywhere, anytime soon, at least until later 2024, early 2025. So it's a non-starter for the election. The whole thing should get tossed out for the very similar reasons that the other Jack Smith federal cases should be tossed out, which is that this is just blatant, blatant, blatant, left-wing law fair of the most sorted and obvious variety. That certainly is. And I'm glad you could clarify a little bit of that. And catch us up, Josh, as it's always great to catch it up with you.
