That'll come your way tomorrow afternoon and well, it'll actually kick off tomorrow evening at six o'clock, but our coverage begins tomorrow afternoon at three o'clock and that'll be with our Longhorns game day coverage with the man who is the producer of this program, Cameron D. Parker. The D on the birth certificate stands for Dallas as in his favorite NFL team that he still steadfastly refuses to watch, even though they're 1-0 and could well go to 2-0 depending on what happens against the New Orleans Saints this Sunday at noon. But you'll catch up on watching them recorded or whatever. But in the meantime, you're dialed in and focused on this Texas game. Super excited to be back at DKR, the second home game of the season, coming off that big win over Michigan. I think Bobby Bowden had a quote where I think you lose it first and then lose by a little and then you win by a little and then you win by a lot. And we saw Texas win by a lot next last week against Michigan. I know people are going to say, yeah, you know, their office isn't as good. They have a walk on quarterback. I don't care, Craig, the vending national champions, they still have one of the best defenses in the country. The big house was rocking last last week. They had a 23 game home winning story, 23 home game winning streak in Texas went in there and that game was done after that first touchdown. So can't wait to see all this team response after after that when there's been a lot of questions asking Sark about rat poison and staying focused in from what he said on the coaches show that air last night on this station and what he said to the media. This team seems to be laser focused and I'm thinking we're going to get a big win tomorrow. Yeah. So there's a lot of conversation about that. We're going to hear from Steve Sarkisian coming up in the next segment here in just a few minutes. So we'll hear from Kurt Sark from our log on weekly program which aired yesterday afternoon at five o'clock. We record the program at six o'clock on Wednesday evening, six to seven at Pluckers the West Campus location. So in case you were hearing it yesterday, five o'clock going, oh, they're doing it at five o'clock. What's going on with that? It was airing at five yesterday because of the seven o'clock Round Rock Express contest. So the normal airing time is Thursdays at seven. However, we record the program Wednesdays at six. So if you want to come out for the program, listen to Coach Stark and have some great wings and joy football conversation. We always have an outstanding former Longhorn join us. It was Fosse Whitaker this past week. Alex Oka for the week before. So you're invited. Come on out on Wednesdays at six o'clock. And what we always do, that we record the show on Wednesday, it the show airs here on the zone on Thursday. And then on Friday, if you want to watch it on KBVO Friday nights at nine o'clock, it's actually shot and edited. And the program will be Friday nights at nine o'clock on KBVO Channel 51. So that's available to you. The other thing that we do on Friday is we lift one segment of that program. And it is always the segment where we're talking about that week's opponent. And then we play it in the second segment of this program. So the second segment is in the two o'clock hour. So the second segment is coming up here in a few minutes. And you're going to hear Coach Stark talking about this matchup with the UTSA Roadrunners. That's coming up in a few minutes. Also, later on this hour, inconceivable. Yes, inconceivable on a Friday. By now, our audience knows what inconceivable on a Friday means. But Cam Parker, for those who do not know what inconceivable on a Friday means, please educate them. It means this. We travel to the more flaccid of the lower 48 states. The most flaccid reached for that low hanging fruit and find Florida man and Florida woman. Uh huh. I think we've got just Florida man this week. We've we've had offerings and we do not discriminate. We have Florida woman. We trot her out as well. But we've got some Florida man for you this week. We got a fast food update within it as well. So we'll do that. We will have a little bit of individual breakdown on the Texas UTSA game coming in the three o'clock hour. Also, some thoughts on to a tongue of Iowa. In case you didn't see it, the Thursday night football game last night, Buffalo bills looked pretty good and they beat the Miami Dolphins 31 to 10. But to a tongue of Iowa, sustained another concussion last night and and we'll have more on that coming up in the three o'clock hour. But the bills did look pretty good last night. Four o'clock hour, we'll talk baseball, Gene Watson from the Chicago White Sox front office will join us to discuss the baseball pennant races, what he saw from Kumar Rocker and his major league debut for the Rangers. We'll talk Astros, show me Otani. So there's a lot to discuss with him baseball wise as the baseball pennant races head down to their final two and a half weeks of that. We'll take a look at the rest of the college football landscape last night in case you did not hear about it. Texas State had a big moment in the sun or a prime time moment as the Bobcats were hosting Arizona State Arizona State now with a big 12 conference, but it's still it's a power four team coming in. And I had the opportunity to help out my good friend, Tim Healy, who's been in the 27 years of play by play voice of the Arizona State Sun Devils, a good, good man. And his regular spotter was unable to travel for this game. Now you've heard me explain this before I think, but for those who don't know a spotter is someone who stands next to the play by play guy in the booth and you point out who made the tackle or recovered a fumble or made a big catch. My oldest son Andy has been my spotter since he was 14. Actually spotted his first game for me, a high school game when he was 13, but really first year regularly spotting for me. He was 14 going on 15, the 2004 Texas season. And you like having a spotter, someone you know, trust who can do the job and he does a really good job. And as it turned out, Tim Healy, his regular spotter, who's his son-in-law was unable to make the trip. And so he had sent me a text and said, do you know of anybody who might be interested in spotting for me on Thursday night? I couldn't travel a spotter this week. And I said, I'll do it. And he was like, really? Yeah, I'd like to see a college football game. And it was a good ball game as well. So I spotted from last night kind of a snug broadcast booth there at Texas State, but it was big enough for for Tim and myself and his color analyst, Jeff Van Raphorst, and their engineer producer sat up behind us. And so we had the broadcast last night and I was glad to help out with it. And it was a heck of a ball game. And Texas State certainly had the opportunity to win the game. They were up 21-7 in the second quarter. They gave up a big, long touchdown pass. And then Arizona State had a late drive in the first half to score. I think it was six seconds to go right before the half was done. It was 21 all to half. Texas State went back in front of a long touchdown pass in the third quarter, went up 28-21. But Arizona State came back. They got a 40-yard run from their quarterback and got down and got into the end zone to tie it at 28. And then in the fourth quarter, Texas State, which had not committed a turnover, got bitten by the turnover bug. They had a fumble that led to a go-ahead field goal for Arizona State. They had an interception throw in which stopped a drive, then got stopped on downs late in the game. And Arizona State was trying to run out the clock. And it looked like they had done it. And then they put a second back on the clock. And Texas State had one final play and tried the okey-doke with the ladders and stuff. And that resulted in another turnover on the game's final play. So officially in the stats, their last four possessions went fumble, interception, over on downs fumble. And that was unfortunate. And Arizona State held on and they won 31-28. So they're three and over the first time in five years since 2019. Tough loss for the Bobcats, because had they won, you'd have to say they would be the early leader in the clubhouse, if you will, for being perhaps that group of five team that could break through and get to the college football playoff. Now the task becomes much more difficult. So they'll go back to work next week. All right, up next, we're going to hear from Longhorn's head coach Steve Sarkeesian. That'll come your way of the segment from Longhorn Weekly from last night talking about the UTSA Roadrunners. We'll do all that and more when we continue here on a Friday on Sports Radio AM13 under the Zonini I Heart Radio app. This I Heart radio station is brought to you by Vitamin Water. I'm Victoria Cash.
