Welcome to the Days of Praise podcast. A daily devotional by the Institute for Creation Research. Praise the Savior, ye who know Him. Henceforth I call you not servants. For the servant knoweth not what is Lord doeth, but I have called you friends. For all things that I have heard of my father I have made known unto you, John 15, 15. We possess a special place in God's heart. Many uplifting hymns have been written over the centuries that can lead us into a deeper love for and greater understanding of our Savior. One such hymn, Praise the Savior, ye who know Him, introduces many important concepts and reasons to praise. Praise the Savior, ye who know Him, who can tell how much we owe Him, gladly let us render to Him, all we are and have. Those who know the Savior are biden to join together in praising Him. As Christians, we don't just know Him as Savior. He calls us His friends. He identifies His friends by their obedience to His loving commands. You are my friends if you do whatsoever I command you. He proves His friendship through His own sacrifice. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down His life for His friends. How could we ever repay Him? We cannot. We can, however, praise Him for all that He is to us and has done for us. We have the privilege of declaring with the voice of thanksgiving and telling of all your wondrous works and speaking of the glorious honor of your majesty and of your wondrous works. By Him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.
