"Good morning. I'm Emma Druckmiller in the TV Six Newsroom with your on-the-go-morning headlines for Friday, September 13th. A Davenport man is set to appear in Scott County Court this morning to be sentenced for child endangerment. 41-year-old Justin Perkins is charged with multiple felonies after police say he severely injured a two-year-old boy back in 2020. According to police in July of 2020, an investigation was launched when an unresponsive child was air-lifted to Iowa City with injuries to the stomach and ribs. Earlier this year, Perkins pleaded guilty to child endangerment and neglect. A Davenport man has been arrested, accused of threatening a woman with a gun. Police were called about a domestic disturbance on Emerald Drive Wednesday night and say 34-year-old Mark Alzamora pointed a handgun at a woman and threatened to kill her several times. As officers tried to arrest him, police say he holed up in a bedroom with the gun for about 30 minutes before giving up. Alzamora faces multiple charges, including first-degree harassment. And from Wildcat to Tiger, Davenport North's superstar, Divine Borage, makes her verbal college commitment. She will be headed to the Bayou to play for the LSU Tigers. Borage is coming off a phenomenal junior season that earned her Gatorade Player of the Year in Iowa. The senior Wildcat is rated the number five recruit in the 2025 graduating class by ESPN. Borage received her first college offer from Iowa State when she was in seventh grade. Now that recruiting journey has ended with her choosing LSU over the likes of South Carolina, Baylor, and Illinois. Looking ahead, the Clinton County Emergency Management Commission is hosting a public meeting about potential changes to its outdoor warning sirens next week. This is the commission's third public meeting after they voted unanimously last month to end the use of outdoor warning sirens at the end of the year. That meeting is at 6 p.m. next Tuesday at the Wheatling Community Center. Taking a look at your weather from meteorologist Kevin Phelps, the remnants of Francine have resulted in a cloudy and milder start today. Temps will eventually get back to near 80 degrees this afternoon, and a few hit or miss showers can't be ruled out. Clouds will stick around for much of the weekend, along with hit or miss shower chances. Next week we'll bring another drier stretch of weather, allowing temps to run above normal again with highs well into the eighties. That wraps up your on the good morning headlines for Friday, September 13th. In the TV6 Newsroom, I'm Emma Druckmiller.
