What did you think of today's Disney+ news?  Let me know on social media!

Coming up, I'm going to be talking about when Inside Out 2 is going to be arriving on Disney Plus, a brand new offer, and also the debate was a huge success on Disney Plus, but before we go any further make sure you do hit that subscribe button to keep up with the latest Disney Plus News. Hi it's Roger here from what's on at DisneyPlus.com, it's time for a quick Disney Plus News roundup. So let's start off with talking about Inside Out 2, it is the biggest film of the year, pulling in over $1.6 billion dollars, it's already in the top 10 films of all time terms of its boss off its success, it's big, it's been a massive, I mean it's just kind of pretty much I would say, saved Pixar, kind of put them back on the stage as the fact that you know, not everything they release is destined to go to Disney Plus or underperform, this is a huge win, and now we know when it's going to be arriving on Disney Plus, it'll be arriving on Wednesday the 25th of September, not too long to wait. Yeah so this one's obviously going to be a big hit, I think this one's going to be right through the next few months. I think this film will be consistently on the Nielsen streaming chart, I think it's going to be massive on that, it'll be constantly trending, this one's going to be a big one on Disney Plus for months ahead, I know a lot of people are really excited about this film, be able to watch it, I think so many people have already seen it in cinema, including myself, I thought it was fantastic, and I can't wait to watch it again when it drops on to Disney Plus, but let me know are you excited about Inside Out 2 dropping on to Disney Plus, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below. To go alongside the reveal of Inside Out 2 coming to Disney Plus, it's also been announced as a brand new special offer for new and also eligible returning customers, where you can get Disney Plus with ads for just $1.99 or £1.99 or €1.99, which basically seems to be whichever currency you're in seems to be around there, so this brand new offer is running from today and through till the September 27th, and you'll be able to get that price for three months before it then goes up to normal price, so if you're maybe on the fence about getting Disney Plus, or maybe you haven't got a subscription anymore, a great way of jumping in and saving some money, you say about 75%. Also maybe if you've got a family member who, maybe you've had some issues with the password sharing, starting to crack down, or you need to convince them that they need their own account, this might be a good time to see like, you know, yeah, this might be a good time for you to kind of get on that and, you know, to have your own subscription, see how they get on, or maybe even, you know, you've got a family members that don't have Disney Plus, maybe you can just kind of go, okay, you know, why don't you try this? Yeah, I think this is a great option as well, obviously there's some big releases coming up over the next couple of months, so you've got like Agatha all along inside out too, you've got the new Wizards of Waverly Place sequel, and also as well internationally as well, you know, you're getting all the shows like Grey's Anatomy and all that kind of stuff, so there's lots and lots of great content, so I think this is a fantastic offer. It also doesn't help the fact that they can get this one out and kind of boost up the subscriber numbers for the next quarterly, they'll make more money on advertising because that's where they really make the money, and obviously as well we're getting colder at night and getting darker earlier, more people are watching television, and therefore over the next few months that's when really kind of peak TV time comes in, you can see it with why they bring back all these shows at this time of the year, this is when people get back into watching television, they've done this promotion number of times in the past, so it's great to see them bringing it back, but let me know, are you going to be taking out them on this offer or going to be maybe encouraging somebody else to do so, love to hear your thoughts on this in the comments below. Shifting gears now, let's now talk about the Presidential Debate, so this one took place earlier this week and it was pretty much available on most platforms, now Disney wanted to get this one out to as many people as possible, which is why we saw the launch of ABC News Live on Disney Plus last week, well the good news is the Presidential Debate was a huge success for them, they pulled in 26.4 million views across linear channels and streaming which includes Disney Plus and Hulu, the debate pulled in 19 million views on the ABC channel and it's the most watch debate on any network in the last 16 years, it has also been revealed that over the first few days 7.4 million viewers watched it on streaming which includes Hulu, Disney Plus, and on even ABC television studios, and it's also the most viewed live event by our stream on Disney Plus in the United States so far to date. I definitely feel that News on Disney Plus is a really good thing moving forward, sports and news are two things that kind of really lean in on a live experience and I'm sure we're going to see more of this, hopefully as well they start putting out live news onto other countries as well, it was quite surprised when they did actually put the whole debate on Disney Plus globally which I think is a great thing for them, especially if they've got the rights to it, why not, and I think this is hopefully going to try and improve the idea that news does have a place on Disney Plus, it's about offering variety, I know a lot of people think well that's just for kids and all the rest of it but this is part of that process of just trying to break Disney Plus into the idea that it is a thing for everyone and it's just about offering variety, not everyone wants to watch the same kind of things, this isn't something that the kids are going to want to watch, that we board stuff, we'd rather watch Inside Out, we've discussed and anger going in it, anyway, if you saw the Jimmy Kimmel thing about that one about it, he literally did joke about the fact that you could watch this other D Plus, it was kind of fun with all the things going on with it but nevertheless it was a huge success for Disney getting this on there and hopefully we start seeing more news dropping onto Disney Plus, I know a lot of people aren't interested in news and stuff but it still shows and the data here shows, people are interested in this, I mean interest in this is probably much higher than most news events but when anything big happens that's what people are going to do, they're going to flick on to live news and I think this is a great new opportunity to kind of make Disney Plus stand out, something like Amazon and Netflix which don't have new studios and I think you're going to probably see a lot of this with other streaming services like with Peacock and Max etc where they can bring in news elements, I think this one's going to be something that we're seeing a lot more of but yeah big success for the debate, let me know if you watched it, let me hear your thoughts on all that in the comments below but nevertheless there's no jump into the comment of the day, Brendan, so starting next year is definitely going to be one new Star Wars and one new Marvel show each year is that right, will Marvel still maybe do two shows a year, I hope we get an official update on them soon even though it's obvious for Star Wars right now, now I think in terms of this idea of there being an official announcement they're not just going to put out a press release going, we are only going to be releasing you know one show two shows, they're not going to do that, it's just going to be a case of when the show comes out, they'll announce it and we have seen for example Kevin Feige talking about the fact in interviews that they're going to be releasing less and obviously as well you know we're seeing you know probably in a few months time they'll start kind of hyping up what's coming, we do know for example that Ironheart and Daredevil born again is coming in 2025, we're also kind of assuming that Andor season two will be coming as well but obviously skeleton crew will slide into early 2025 as well, you can just look at just you know what's being said, what's being made, that's the other key thing, the amount of shows being created has drastically slowed down, so that's obviously a key element of you know we're not having multiple shows, how much stuff are they announcing and you can see that they are drastically pulling back and as I did you know just mention in the previous story they are finding other ways of bringing in viewers that's not necessarily spending millions of dollars on creating Marvel and Star Wars stuff, they can put things out which also pull in viewers but it's just been revealed as well that for example the secret lives of Mormon wives was the most watched reality series on Disney+ so far, we're just certainly talking about the debate, there are other ways of them getting audiences that don't require them to spend millions on these big epic franchises and ultimately those franchises have a hurt from having too much stuff, so there's other things that can be put out and I know a lot of people you know they want some people they just want more and more and more but it's shown over the last few years that that's not really the reality and also they just can't afford just to keep making these big Star Wars and Marvel shows, so yeah there is not really going to be an official announcement of their schedule they're not really putting out that kind of thing anymore I think they've got burnt too much by giving us too much information giving us those roadmaps and then they can't stick to it so what's better don't give us the road map that's the much better way of doing it it's the way it would normally be done those roadmaps of kind of in some way would come back to bite them in the butt so yeah I can see why they're not doing it anymore but I'd love to hear your thoughts and all this in the comments below go check us out over at what's on Disney+.com like follow and subscribe and I shall see you guys soon, later.
