5 Sports Update Closing in on the conclusion of week number 2, I'm Jared Maxx, 2 of 18, almost in the books. The final chapter of Sunday's games, the Texans beat the Bears in Houston last night, 19 to 13. C.J. Stroud grew a touchdown past Enico Collins, Chaimie Fairbairn kicked four field goals for Houston. The Texans are 2-0. Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams threw for 174 yards in two interceptions, also ran five times for 44 yards. The bird is the word in Philadelphia, Monday Night Football Avian style, who will soar higher tonight. The Eagles are the Falcons. Philadelphia won a season opener in Brazil against Green Bay, Atlanta lost last week. Eagles favor tonight by five and a half points. Week number 3 will begin Thursday in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where the one-in-one Jets will host the one-in-one Patriots. Aaron Rodgers had 176 passing yards in two touchdowns and the Jets win at Tennessee Sunday. Rodgers' first NFL victory for any team but the Packers. Not as a sound like a broken record, but Caitlyn Clark broke more records Sunday. On Mi TV and Indianapolis, the Indiana fever clinched the sixth seed in the playoff brackets. Clark broke her personal best scoring effort since she joined the WNBA this season with 35 points. She also became the WNBA single-season record holder for the most points by a rookie. She also broke the mark of incoming basketball Hall of Famer Simone Augustus. I remember when I went to the, my first WNBA game, Simone was probably, I think she was the first player that I ever met when I was courtside watching them warm up before the game. It was her and Lindsey Wayland, so it comes full circle for sure. I remember I got my picture with her on my dad's little phone, it was like maybe like a blackberry back in the day or something like that. I don't even know. It did hardly work, but I vividly remember it as the first WNBA player I ever met. I'm Matt Kaitlyn Clark saluting Simone Augustus.
