I'm your pocket fillers. The parlay killer. No side from the start the broadcast. Subscribe with smash. The gorilla sports podcast. Hey guys, welcome in gorilla sports podcast. I'm your host Alex bullpen and it is Friday the 13 September the 13th. All right, let's talk about our place from yesterday. We had one baseball batter parlay yesterday going. We took Ellie Dilla Cruz and we paired it with Rob Refsnider. Now Ellie Dilla Cruz came through for us in the early afternoon and then Rob Refsnider didn't play. Now, actually they subbed him in the ninth inning. But thank God he didn't have it bad because I bet this on Fandul. Now, if you bet it on draft Kings, if the player doesn't start, they void him right away. But on Fandul, they wait to the last pitch before they either pay you out or don't pay you out, which I don't like because I've been ruined by that before where you don't have a batter and you're like, Oh, that'll be voided. And then he comes in. And even if he gets a walk, that's still a played appearance, even though it counts as an Oh, for Oh, that was a played appearance. He didn't get a hit. So therefore you lose the bet. I don't like that. However, I did have this on Fandul, but he didn't have a played appearance. So they did void it for me. So that was a minus 190 play. So it ended up $100 paid about $60, 50, 57 bucks, something like that. So whatever, we'll take it little over half a unit winner in the football game. We liked Buffalo yesterday. We took him in a teaser. We took them from two and a half to plus eight and a half. And now we have to wait for Sunday to see if the other half of that's going to come through. We paired it with the LA Rams at plus one and a half. We took it up to plus seven and a half. So we're waiting to see what happens with that one. We had two player props. Oh, that first one bugged me. We had Jalen waddle over 63 and a half. How this didn't cover? I have no idea. I couldn't have written up a better game script, excuse me, a game script for a number two receiver to get over their total. So they're down early in the game. So they're obviously going to have to throw the ball a ton. The rim Buffalo doesn't have the greatest defense. They're pretty good, but not the greatest defense. And all of their coverage goes towards Tyree Kill, who had a worse game than Jalen waddle with 32 yards. Now I feel bad for Tua. Now if you remember a couple of years ago, he got hammered on a sack and he froze up like a board and was just convulsing all over the place. He got up and he tried to walk off you stumbling all over the place. And somehow the trainers were able to convince like the concussion people that he hurt his back, which was just obviously nonsense. This guy was out cold, stiff as a board trying to walk afterwards. He looked like any UFC fighter after getting their butt kicked. So they ended up letting him go back into that game. And then the very next game, he took a whiplash sack off of the off of the ground and they had to cart him out because I mean, you get too back to back out of concussions like that you're toast. So turns out they ended up keeping him out for the rest of the year. So third quarter, they're down a ton of points. The Hawaiian warrior in this guy goes dives for its fourth down. He needs this play needs three yards dives for it. It didn't even look like that heart of a hit on his head. But you know, once you've had that many concussions, it doesn't take much. Again, similarly to the UFC, all of a sudden Chuck Liddell and all these guys with iron chins, you get too many concussions. It takes nothing. You flick in the head and these guys are out cold. So again, stiff as a board. So I knew our bet was in trouble as soon as that happened. So he came out early in the third quarter. They brought in the backup. He was terrible. And actually it got so bad that they sat both Tyree kill and Jalen water for the entire fourth quarter, which like this should have been a perfect garbage time catch up for these guys, right? Just no huddle the entire way. They throw the ball on every play. I mean, he could have come up. He ended up going four for 41. You tell me he couldn't have caught two balls for 20 yards. So that was a bit painful. On the other side, we took Keon Coleman. This was just a bad read. And again, the game script got away from us on this one. I thought it would be a little bit more competitive of a game. That's why I took the teaser instead of just Buffalo plus the two and a half. But key on Coleman, I think get two targets of this entire game. But the time of possession was just insane, because Buffalo just kept picking a two off and having a great field position. And then they just kept scoring touchdown effort touchdown, whether it was James Cook, breaking one, or, you know, just just Josh Allen just moving this, this offense around really quickly. They didn't have to do much. They finally got Dalton King Kate involved, which is nice to see. But yeah, it was 37 minutes to 23 minutes. Allen only through for 139 passing yards. His number was set at about 250, 247, something like that. So I mean, he was over 100 yards less than his projected outcome. So nobody was going to get over their totals that way. So unfortunately, that was a bit of a bad read. Alright, let's get into some plays today. I love a money line today. Now we're going to take the San Diego Padres on the money line today. Now they're still in the wildcard race. They are right in the thick of it. They're a game and a half above their competitor for the second wildcard spot. And they're going versus San Francisco today. And the Giants are a couple of games, a couple of losses away from being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. So they don't have as much to play for. That's for sure. Now we're back in Dylan Seuss. This guy is electric. He is one of two National League pitchers north of 200 strikeouts. It's just him and Chris Sale. So that's an elite company. Now this guy's 12 and 11. He's got a 371 ERA. And we're going versus Logan Webb today. Now webs 12 and nine with a 346 ERA. But a lot of that ERA was at the beginning of the year. His last three starts have not gone well. Even up 10 hits and three runs to the same San Diego team as last time out. He gave up eight hits and six runs to Miami, four hits, four runs to Milwaukee. And honestly, if you look at all the batter props for hits, we'll tell you exactly who's going to win this game. Now it starts off with Lewis Arias. Obviously he's an elite hitter, but he's had a minus 420. Now it goes in order seven San Diego batters in a row before you see your first San Francisco batter. And it's Heliet Ramos at a minus 185, which is just, you know, nothing. I mean, most batters, average batters, minus 250 up to a minus 350 somewhere in that ballpark. But for your top batter to be a minus 185 to get one hit is embarrassing. And then it's Heliet Ramos, then the other two San Diego guys, then the rest of San Francisco. So they don't even think they can get hits against Dylan C, let alone score runs. So give me San Diego all day, minus 118 on the money line. Now I got three batter parlays that I like as well. Our first one, we're going to go to Glauber Torres of the New York Yankees. Now he's going versus Tanner Hauck of the Boston Red Sox today. Now he's seven for 18 versus him. He's two for three with two walks already this year. He's got to hit in 12 his last 13 games. He's our lead off batter. We love it. Taking the lead off guys. And we're going to pair him with Ladi Guerrero of the Toronto Blue Jays. Yes, please. This guy is just on fire this year. He's got to hit in 34 out of his last 41 games. That is that is some good stuff. He's one versus Eric Fede today. And he's one for two versus Fede. And when you pair these two guys together, you get a minus 107 on the hit parlay. I like that one. Now I got another one I like. I'm going to take Xavier Edwards of the Miami Marlins to get one hit. Now this guy crushes left handed pitching. Now it's a second year guy and he's quietly batting 332 on the year. Now I say quietly because that would be leading the majors if he had enough played appearances. Now he's only played 56 games, but that's still over 200 played appearances. That's not nothing. It's not like some call up guy that's batting 400. You're like, Oh, wow. But he's four for 10. Like, you know, anyone can go on a streak of four for 10. This is 200 played appearances. And he's batting 332. So I like that look a lot. And we're going to pair it with Manny Machado, who was one of those San Diego Padres, who crushes Logan Webb. He's betting 333 versus Logan Webb. That's eight for 24. So a nice big sample size. And he's three for six, the last two games in 2024 versus Logan Webb. So that 500 versus in 2024. So you pair Logan Webb, excuse me, pair Manny Machado with Xavier Edwards, you get a minus 107. And I got one more batter parlay. I like, yeah, we're not going to forget about our boy Lawrence Butler. This guy is on fire. They still give this guy no respect. He's on a 20 game hitting streak. And his odds are minus 170 to get it hit. Okey-doke. So we're going to pair him with Bobby Whit. Bobby Whit's a minus 350 today. But when you pair the two of these guys together, you get a plus 104. I mean, Bobby Whit leads the AL in hitting average runs and he's one for two versus Ortiz today. So that's a perfect look. And yeah, pairing those two guys together, you got a plus 104. Now actually I'm a lean as well. I kind of like Kansas City on the money line as well. We back in Alec Marsh. Now, Casey's in a playoff race, they've just come through a murderer's row of opponents. They just had to play the Yankees, twins, Guardians, Astros, Guardians and Phillies. So they are welcome to see the under 500 Pittsburgh Pirates today. Pirates are coming off playing the Marlins and the Nationals where, you know, yeah, they did okay versus these two teams. But yeah, these are not the Kansas City Royals. Now both teams kind of have comparable pitchers with Alec Marsh and Luis Ortiz today. But we're getting a much better offense and a much better team in Kansas City. So I like Kansas City on the money line. I'll probably go about half a unit on that one. All right, guys, we got a ton of plays going today. We got football coming up on the weekend. And if you're rocking with me, let's roll.
