My friends aren't degenerates, but I've never changed them. Liars, sheets, and hypocrites, not get time for a save. 45, 50, 45. There goes Davis! Oh my god! Davis is going to run it all the way back! Auburn's going to win the football game! She's the ocular. Three seconds and Miss Paul Jenkins gives it to Jenkins, for the championship! [CHEERING] You're listening to the Bet The Juice podcast presented by DeGeneres Jonathan. [MUSIC PLAYING] The Bet The Juice podcast, Cody Mitchell, Connor Hall, and here, week one of the college football season, is finally here by games tonight. We have games tomorrow. We have games Saturday, a game Sunday, and a game Monday. One thing I will say is I don't know why college football doesn't sprinkle like four or five games on Sunday and Monday, just to kind of get the fix for everybody. Monday, it's hard because-- I mean, it is a holiday, but I don't know. It just seems like to do it for the Monday game is a little bit tougher. But for Sunday, yeah, I think last year, then we have two games on Sunday. Rutgers was also playing on Sunday, if I remember correctly. I don't remember, to be honest with you, it's been a year ago. Yeah, no kidding. But at least I made it somewhat of a fun game. That is the Sunday game we'll get to it. We have LSU, USC, and then Monday, I guess, Florida State, Boston College. I don't know if that's really moving the needle for everybody. I mean, after the way week zero went, it's probably moving the needle a lot more than it would have if Florida State wins. Yeah, so for college football, how we do it is we break down the big games. Then we kind of open the board up for every other single bet. When we come Monday or Tuesday next week, we will basically recap every game with some quick analysis on those. But without really further ado, which is, dude, we're back. Let's just get in to breaking down some games. [INAUDIBLE] You know what? It'll be nice having a little extra cash, the bet on college football. Yeah, I'd like to bet 100 bucks. You want to pick a team? No, just take it. The work week is almost over. Sit back, relax, and get in on the action, and enhance your game day experience. It's time for the bet. The Juice Podcast College Football Picks of the Week. All right, let's jump right into a new kickoff in Atlanta, Georgia. A Southern, I wouldn't say a rivalry, but a Southern matchup is dated back. It's kind of a rivalry. Yeah, I mean, they've been playing since 1897. This is 66th meeting all time. Georgia, Clemson, Georgia is laying 13 and 1/2 points. Total set up, 48 and 1/2. Clemson plus 450 is on the table if you're getting overzealous. But Clemson looks to be a team to be able to get back to the college football playoff. And Georgia is a year removed from being back-to-back national championship. So I love that we get a ranked-on-rank top 15 game together early on in the slate four-week one in college football. Especially when it's involving the number one team in the nation. Yes. I'll just say, like, we're looking at this matchup. Whoever wins the secondary battle is going to go a long way. Both secondaries have talent, but they're kind of inexperienced. And I believe Clemson has some injuries in their secondary that they might be down one to two of their cornerbacks. So then you're going to be asking freshmen and some underclassmen to really have to step up. Obviously, we know how Georgia does with recruiting, especially in the secondary. They have five-star stacked everywhere, but just how will those guys look coming out? Game one. My other big question is can Clemson's defensive line get past Georgia's great offensive line and cause some problems for Beck? Like, obviously, we know that Clemson has talent on the defensive line, but this is a Georgia offensive line that last year, I think only allowed, it was less than like 15 sacks, something like that. So can they cause any kind of pressure? 'Cause that's going to be, if you're on that Clemson plus 450, that's going to be the only way that you can kind of keep yourself in this game. And from the sounds of it, they're going to kind of move Peter Woods from defensive tackle to possibly off of the edge. And a kind of question, like, is it because Peter Woods is so good off of the edge that you need to have him out there? Or is it a need because your edge isn't as good as we thought it was? And like, how has Cade grown this off season? I mean, that is probably the biggest question, the biggest deciding factor. If we've seen a jump for Cade and like knowing the system a lot better, then I think Clemson has a better shot, but I don't know. When I just look at this game, it just screams Georgia. So my pick for this game is laying the 13 and a half. - Is this on your bet already? Or you locked it in there a little bit? - Yes. - I missed Squirtle. We decided to lock him back in. (upbeat music) For me, on my side of it is like, kind of like you said about with Cade, is year two in Garrett Riley's system, can't even take a step forward. Clemson's offense, I don't really know how well they're gonna be able to move the ball. I would, they gotta establish to run at least a little bit and be able to open up some passing windows for Cade Club Nick. And I didn't bet this one. I'm just gonna kind of sit back and enjoy this one, but I also laid, or laid the 13 and a half with Georgia. I like that I'm getting it under two touchdowns. And especially with that secondary being hurt, you're going up against Carson Beck, the best quarterback in college football. Which I will be interested to see though, what does he do without two significantly good security blankets in Lame Conchley and Brock Powers? - Yeah, but just, I mean, I still have questions about the wide receiving core for Clemson. So even though they're going up against an inexperienced or secondary on both sides, like I still like Georgia's wide receivers more and I'm getting the better quarterback. So yeah, I think this is Georgia. I don't know, maybe Clemson can keep it to that 14. And obviously we still cover, but just more than anything, this just looks like Georgia. - Yeah, I'm not betting this. If I would take anything on that, maybe we'd take the under, 'cause I think it might be kind of a dogfight a little bit, two good defenses or something like that. But I'm probably just gonna, I have, my eyes are gonna be focused on something completely different. We'll get to that one right now. West Virginia, Penn State is headed to West Virginia. These two teams are playing since 1904. This would be the 61st meeting. Currently, Penn State is laying eight points. The total sitting at 51 and a half, West Virginia Moneyline is plus 260. Connor is a big 10 guy. I'll let you take it from here. - I mean, one of the big things looking at this game is, who's gonna run the ball better? Both have very experienced and very good running backs. I know the tandem for West Virginia last year had like 1,500 yards and the tandem for Penn State, we've seen go for 1,500 yards, over 1,500 yards. The last two seasons, but whoever runs the ball better, it could go a long way to helping the quarter backs, like open things up and make a lot more open zones for the wide receivers. I have questions about both wide receiving cores. And I mean, for the secondaries for both teams, both are pretty new at the same time. So which offense is gonna be able to exploit them more? Or which secondary ends up rising up? I kind of like Penn State's secondary a little bit more, a lot more, I mean, blue chip ratio, got leans them in the secondary. Plus, I mean, last year, I know the score was a little bit different, but still, Drew Aller in his first start was very successful against a much better West Virginia secondary last year than this year. He went 21 for 29, 325 yards and three touchdowns. Like I, I'm staying away from this 'cause, like brain says Penn State, heart says West Virginia. So I'm staying away from it, but I think it's gonna be a good game. Shut the fuck up. (upbeat music) Here we go. Yeah, I am the biased one on this podcast apparent. I'll break down everything you just said. One, West Virginia led up a lot of points. Early in the season, the defense got better towards the end of the place. They played shit quarterbacks throughout the rest of the season. Maybe that can be the case, but I honestly think Drew Aller is a turd. He puts up good numbers against bad sheep. 21 for 29 against 325 yards, three touchdowns. At home. Against the same team. At home. Against the same team. He is a much different quarterback on the road. He is a very, very average college quarterback. Penn State, I'm just completely convinced is the school that the Big Ten pretends this good because they can beat the shitty FedEx workers and the rest of the Big Ten and then lose to the Big Dogs. And to make your conference look a little bit better. This program's not that great. They ran it up last year when they could have knelt the ball down. West Virginia did not forget about that. This number is eight. I don't need the eight. West Virginia is winning this game on the Moneyline. This is in West Virginia. This is probably the best West Virginia team that Neil Brown has had. Garrett Green kind of came into his own last year. People are throwing his name out for Heisman. I'm not doing it. I didn't say it. - Yes, you are. You're literally the only one that I've seen. - PFF is the loves Garrett Green to win the Heisman. It's crazy. - Yeah. And how many times have you ripped PFF? - Only one is on my side is when I take them. It doesn't help my case. So I don't take them in that. They love it. - Don't bet this game. - I think that West Virginia is going to be able to run the ball very with ease on this team they have between Jehim White, Garrett Green and C.J. Donaldson. They have a better back. They might have the between the quarterback and the two backs. One of the best backfields in college football. The offensive lines experienced. They will be just fine. It's going to rain in Morgantown as well. So it's going to be a mucky game. I've been trying to speak this one to existence that they're going to win outright. - Don't listen to Cody. - To late to tell Penn State. Who is that Penn State? That they're going to lay eight points in Morgantown. That's laughable. I will take the plus eight all day, but I'm also, I'm absolutely going to bet the mic as well. Moving on. I think this is a, what is it? 330 kick. Cause I think this goes right from. - Are you talking about the Florida? - Yes. It goes right from West Virginia into the three, like the games I care about. We have a classic Florida showdown. Miami is headed to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators. I've been playing this game since 1938. It's a 57 meeting all the time. This is 29, 27 currently Miami's in the lead here. As far as the spread, Miami's laying two and a half on the road in the swap and the total is 54 and a half. Florida Moneyline is plus 115. Connor, Miami has kind of went all in. - Yep. Probably has the best roster maybe in the ACC. - Rob, I think they've probably had that though. - No, yeah. - More than a few times. - No, that, yeah. That is the thing is when you talk about Miami, this is their most talented roster. But what do they do? Do mode times and not with a good roster? Fuck it up. - Yes. I will say no. It's a team that I bought into. - Yes, it's fair. I will say here's the difference, even though I'm still a little bit down on Miami, it's more of a prove it to me thing. - No, I get that. - The difference is, Cam Ward is different than all of the other, like he's better than Tyler Midnight. He's better than Brad Kaya. Can't remember the other guy that was, was Logan Thomas there? That's Virginia. - No. - There's somebody else. I'm forgetting his name. - Derek King. - Yes, Derek King. I think this is the best quarterback that they've had since all of that. And that is obviously a giant part in building a college football team. - Yeah. I mean, it's going to be a fun quarterback battle because Graham Mertz himself was a very good quarterback. I know the record might not show it, but he was a very good quarterback in the SEC last year, led them with a completion percentage. But I think the biggest matchup is like D-line versus D-line, which one gets more pressure? Both have a little bit of questions. Miami's pretty new with a lot of transfers. While Florida returns three of their four defensive linemen but lost their top edge rusher. So can they get pressure on Ward? You obviously don't want him to kill you with your legs. So you want to try to do your best to keep him contained. But on the flip side for Florida, Graham Mertz exploit Miami's new looks secondary. And also at the same time, who steps up at running back? It's still a question if Montreal Johnson is actually going to play in this game. But even if he's still a little bit dinged up, like how effective can he be? And them establishing the run is going to be huge in this game. Like no offense when you look across the field, the running game favors Miami so much when you have Cam Ward and Damian Martinez back there. So for Florida, you're going to want to try to control the clock and keep yourself out of those third and long, second and long situations. So can you have an effective run game? This game is too close for me to actually have a pick. My pick would probably be Miami just because I am higher on them. But part of me still thinks Florida can come away with this game because we've talked about the schedule, the schedule for Florida. This is week one. They haven't had to go through any bit of the gauntlet yet. So this is going to be the best version of Florida that we can get while on the flip side with all the transfers from Miami. This is probably, I want to say the weakest this team will be, but then by kind of is they're going to be at their best near the end of the season. Yeah, you know what we should do inside of that? Why don't you because I'm betting Florida. I took the two and a half. Why don't we just play each other on cut and we'll just do like five bucks either way. All right, I'm up for that. So if you guys haven't heard of cut, cut is the social betting platform. You just spelled K-U-T-T. Cut is a more fun way to bet where you can literally put your money where your mouth is and bet directly against your buddies or other users on the sports, politics, pop culture, everything you can bet on the election if you want to. All bets are pretty fun. And so you never have to worry about somebody flaking on you and paying up. Like Roger Reese. I was waiting on that one. You can join the Bethe Juice podcast today or the crew on cut today and put your money where your mouth is via any bet we talk about on the show or post about on social media. I can go on there and be like, all right, dummy, I'm going to bet country roads here." And I can, if he wants to lay 10 bucks, I can bet my 10 bucks and get some. I can change, we can adjust the odds accordingly if I'm like making a joke that Ohio State's going to be accurate by 70, we can literally set the line at 70, 70 and a half on there. And if I win or Connor wins, money will go to my account versus discount. It's awesome. Download it today. That is cut and they are the social betting platform. I'm actually, I am taking Florida here. Again, not one that I'm like giant, giant, confident on because Miami is so talented. I, you know, I totally forgot that Damian Martinez went there until you just said his name. I love Damian Martinez and I'm going to have to root for Miami a little bit. But it's kind of what you said, Miami is full of transfers. And I think, I think we have a little bit of, how do I explain it? The schedules affecting our perception of Florida, just a little bit. Yes. I think people were just downgrading them because the schedule is so hard. This is still a really good football team. Yeah. Like we talked about in the breakdowns, if it wasn't for the schedule, I would probably like Florida as a sleeper, but that schedule, it's, it's a five game stretch to end the season. Yeah, it is. In the non-con, you're just going all around Florida playing good teams too though. Yeah. You play Miami, Florida, or UCF in Florida state and South Florida. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Like it is. Oh no. No, that's Miami. That is Miami. They have a FCS in there. Um, Samford. Yeah. Right. Um, I just feel like they've had, Florida's had to hear all this talk all off season about how bad they're going to be. Their wind totals set at four and a half while Miami's literally being like touted as some team that's going to be a contender in the ACC and a lot of people are picking to win the ACC. Chris balls got to show me that he can do it first. And Napier is three and oh in the swamp against top 15 teams since he's been the head coach for it. So I think four to wins a game outright, not something I am just rushing to the window to bet, but I mean, this is the biggest three 30 kickoff we got to bet on this one. Let's go to the later, the late game on Saturday, Texas Notre Dame is headed to college station to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M and Mike Elko's debut as head coach of Texas A&M. This is only the fifth all time meeting. They played the first game back in 1988 as far as the numbers that adjust. It is three now. It is out of three. Texas A&M is laying three totals, 46 and a half to bet Notre Dame Moneyline is plus one 30. I'm not giving out the favorites Moneyline because that's just dumb like I'm not taking juice, even though the podcast is bet the juice. I mean, this game comes down to one thing in my opinion. And it's my biggest question is how will Notre Dame's new look offensive line go against Texas A&M's D line that is just super talented. I mean, when we were talking about them, they're one of the best defensive lines in the country and you have a new head coach that loves to just rush with a D line and drop everybody else. So I mean, how much pressure will they be able to keep off of Riley Leonard? And for that fact, like, how well are they actually going to be able to establish the run? Like, is this game just going to end up falling on Riley Leonard? Like Riley Leonard coming off a leg injury. And I mean, who wins the quarterback battle like Riley may be better as of now, but he has all new wide receivers and only an off season of familiarity and you were coming off of the injury. We know what well, I shouldn't say, we know what the potential ceiling for Wagman could be. He put also at the same time, his wide receiving court is phenomenal. And without Evan Stewart, exactly like Evan Stewart was like the fourth leading receiver on this team, like I just everything about this screams Texas A&M. So I'm going to lay the three I got at two and a half. This is probably my favorite bet of the weekend and it scares me how much I like it. Yeah, I honestly thought this game should be a lot higher than what it is, but I think I would have laid a touchdown. I don't know if I was willing to lay a touchdown, but something a little bit more than this, but the reason I think it makes me so scared is you have a team in Notre Dame, which are offensive lines banged up, conveniently going up against a Texas A&M defensive line that is stout and one of the best in the country. You have a yes. It's his first year head coach in Mike Elko, but he's been part of Texas A&M just a couple of years ago and he's going up against his former quarterback who is coming off a leg injury. Riley Leonard played seven eight games last year. I can't remember. He had three passing touchdowns. I love Riley Leonard. He makes his money with his legs. I will say the one thing also that does worry me is he was one of the best quarterbacks in sack avoidance over the last two years. So that worries me that if he does see pressure, can he escape but can he escape with the coming off an injury? Yeah. Exactly. Like how much does that injury limit his legs? Yeah. I hate how we think alike. This is by far my favorite bed of the weekend. I've been, I texted JR earlier like, dude, let me throw 10 units almost right now, please. I have to. I, I think I'm not willing to go that far, but like for one, the reason it is only three, for one, I would always give two points to the Notre Dame bump. It's the same thing like Duke basketball, Dallas Cowboys, you get that. Yeah. And maybe people are freaking out about it being his first game, but Elko's a familiar with the program. So I think they're going to be just fine. I am going to hammer Texas A&M. And lastly ranked on ranked game coming on Sunday, seven, 30 kickoff. Connor, if I told you USC and LSU, how many times do you think they've played each other? What would you say five? I would have guessed like seven or eight, like those early 2000s were both of them were at their powers. They never met in a bowl game, never met in a national title. They played twice in 79 and 84. I would never have guessed that. That's crazy. Like I would have said they played at least three or four times in the early 2000s, but they have not. LSU is currently laying four and a half points total, sitting at 64 and a half, USC's money line is plus 155. I think this game is in Vegas. Correct? Yes. Okay. Fast field. Yes. And I think there's probably going to be a lot of points. And I kind of think I know where your head's going to go. I hate you. I know your head's going to go there. All right. Biggest question, who's defense improved or even shows the slightest bit of improvement? Both had defensive staff upgrades, but looking at the rosters like still, there's so much talent that is on LSU's defense that can we finally have somebody that is able to unlock it and be smart enough to put Harold Perkins on the fucking edge. For USC brought in Anthony Lynn from across or was it Anthony? No, it's like D.A. It's like D. Anthony. Yeah. It's from UCLA who over the last couple of years has had very good defenses for UCLA, but also had very, very exceptional edrushers. I just question as much for USC like, is there actually talent on this defense? Like, I don't really know. And like how much in this offseason did you actually establish the toughness that you wanted to bring in? Were you actually allowing tackling in practice? Because there were a lot of rumors coming out that the last couple of years, there has been no tackling in practice or off season practice, like, has anything changed for either side of the defenses. And who wins the QB battle? We've seen more of Nussmeyer, but there's still some unknown and he's still that gunslinger that can like throw the occasional pick. And for Miller Moss, he looked good in the bowl game, but it was just one start. Yeah. And a lot of legal players were not playing in that game. Now what does help USC is if Miller Moss goes out there and doesn't seem to be the guy you could pull the Jade and my Ava card and have probably the more talented wide receiver out there, or I mean quarterback out there, but that's just my opinion. Cody hinted at it over fucking over. There could be a chance of one team scores this. I think it's still 63 and a half out there. I think that even one team can end up having 60. Yeah. I'll bet it with you. I was waiting to see if this was going to be your play because I know you're too well. This is my favorite over. Yeah, I'll take this as well because I, I'll tell you one thing. I think pretty sure I could play quarterback and Riley Lincoln Riley will make me a good quarterback. He'll find a way to do it. So no matter who's in there, I think they're going to be fine. Nussmeyer, I mean, we've been talking about it all off season. I'm all in. My notes are really great. Nussmeyer we trust. So I just think that he'll be able to go and it's also going against USC's defense. Yes. Two. Also, I don't know if I said this when we did the USC breakdown, but watching USC last year, if I felt like Caleb Williams played a little bit of hero ball, where he was like, Hey, I have to drop 70 or we're going to lose. And now you have somebody in there that's not as talented, not as, not as much of a freak who can just run Blinken's offense and put up crazy numbers. Baker Mayfield was a walk on and he won the Heisman Trophy under them. So I will take the overs well. All right. Boards open. You said you have six plays. I have seven. So I'll kick it off here. First on my list. Are we going any order? Do you want to do like any order, any orders of this, like no severity? If you really like it, just say it. I'm going to start off here with Michigan minus 20 and a half using new. I was going to have this on here. You. Well, we talked about it. Yeah, I know at home against Fresno. My big thing is kind of similar to the Florida thing where they've been here in the noise, the whole off season, Michigan's program has obviously obviously just the new Conter Sally's documentary just dropped. They've been here in the noise of their cheaters, blah, blah, blah. Obviously they're going to come in play with a little bit of fire. Tetford's gone from Fresno State. I know a lot of the team still, uh, he retained the majority of his team. But at the end of the day, Michigan's defense is still so nasty and I still expect him to run the ball. It doesn't matter who's in the backfield. The offensive line is really good. I'm assuming Alex Orgy is going to be the starter. I don't really think it matters. I know they had a first on traffic quarterback drafted last year, but he didn't really have to throw the ball very much. He just had to hand it off and I think Alex Orgy can run the ball and kind of add another element that JJ could do but to a different level. So I think Michigan rolls on fret against where Fresno, everybody's on Fresno. I don't see it lay the points of Michigan. Uh, yeah, I'm on this play to, uh, even if like you have any worry about a backdoor cover by Fresno State, there's still, this is still an ongoing battle. I don't think this is going to be settled after this game. Uh, is there like a walk on that's like getting, yeah, I was trying to look up his name, but my phone's, uh, messing up. It's not even, uh, the, it's not Jack tunnel. No, it's not, but either way, God, that name's going to piss me off. I'm going to look at it really quick. It is Davis Warren, David. Yes. I have nowhere. He's a cancer survivor. Yeah. Even if they take orgy out because like it, like scores good enough, Warren's going to come in and still try to win this job. So I, I think this is possibly a touchdown. Whoa. Like when I saw this line, I was like, you've got to be kidding me. It does worry me. Cause what does Vegas know? Yeah. I think they've run it up too though. I really do. I think Michigan's out to make a point. And I don't know if I love Mikey, Keena Fresno. I don't know if he scored on this defense. So you had that one too. So come back to me again. I laid it with Nebraska minus 27 and a half against UTEP, which is weird. The theme for week one is Cody, the team you've talked shit on, teams you've talked shit on all off season. You're now backing. Apparently. Yeah. Sounds about right. Kind of similar to the Michigan thing. I think they're going to put a show on you roll out that five star freshman whose dad played there. So when we all it's a year two of Matt role, it's also the first year. I can't remember the coach's name. It is the first year head coach in UTEP and UTEP was bad already and they lost a lot of players. I think Nebraska steam rolls the minors of UTEP and puts up a giant number. All right. Just because I know you don't have a play on it, I'm taking the over 59 and a half in Western Kentucky versus Alabama. Oh, you do? I do. What is your play? I laid the points in Alabama. I think they kicked the shit out of them either way. I think that there's still a good chance that Western Kentucky with their offense and TJ family kind of running the show that they're going to be able to put points up on Alabama secondary that still has a lot of questions and is a work in progress. So this isn't the team that you kind of want to see across from you. I was tempted to be taking Western Kentucky in the points, but I think this over is a better play. I think they beat the shut up. I think TJ family kind of stinks in my opinion. Now in the Western Kentucky system, that could be a different thing. Yes. He saw what he did in the Texas state system. Yes. I think Alabama scores 50 on them. I really do. I don't know if Western Kentucky is able to score in the 20s. I just don't think so. I, I'm, I really, I don't like it, but I kind of do. I'm starting to become a jail and mill road defender because they, people talk shit on him like he wasn't five spots away from winning the Heisman last shoot. Dude's a not a back quarterback by any means. He's good. He's one of the best six quarterbacks in college football. He is a dynamic runner and if he can prove a little bit as a passer, who knows? And Caitlin DuBour is the offensive mind that could help him eat term. Watching Michael Penix early in Indiana was not thrilled with anything. And now he's a granny might have got some, the Falcons definitely retched on him in the draft, but was technically a top 10 pick, but yeah, was a definitely a reach. All right. Next play. Cause I know you have a play in this game. We're heading to the island. Don't. I couldn't do it. Oh, really? Okay. Well, either way, we're heading to the island and we are taking the over 54 in Hawaii versus UCLA. I think this UCLA D or offense has a chance to be pretty good. I just feel like for the long term, I think they're going to be dragged down by this defense. And now on the flip side, I think they're going to, or I think Hawaii is going to be able to put up points against UCLA's defense that defense lost a lot of its coaching step, a lot of its best players transferred out. You have questions off the edge without the Murphy twins or law to. I think Hawaii is going to be able to put a good amount of points put on like UCLA themselves are going to be able to put up a lot of points. Yeah. I like Ethan Garbers. I'm not is, I'm a little more bullish than most people are on him too. And we saw Delaware State score 14 to move the ball a little bit on Hawaii and Delaware State fucking sucks. So I actually do have something on this, but it's not in the real place. Okay. Okay. How many more do you have? I have one, two, three, four. I have three. All right. I'm going to take it to Syracuse. I'm laying the 17 with the orange men against Ohio. I thought about it. I thought about it like Kyle McCord is probably the best Syracuse quarterback talent wise they've had since Donovan McNabb. I mean, NASA could be in there though. No, I was completely, no, no, that's that I think that's actually factual. It's either it's NASA or McNabb. There's nobody else. Tommy DeVito, no, I'm close and they, Greg Paul's no, no, no. I think this team's going to be fired up a little bit. Fran Brown's kind of brought in some crazy energy coming from that championship pedigree at Georgia. Now this is his first time as not even a coordinator. Now he's the head coach, but Syracuse bought a lot of talent and an OU lost everybody. They were rated in the portal. I think Syracuse in that dome hangs a giant number on the bobcats and they get the cover minus 17. I think it's 17 and a half now, but I would still lay the 17 and a half now, but I do have some more. I do have some underdogs in here sprinkled in I promise because I think I've laid points out the ads already. All right. For me, I have, I've had this game I bought all season and I just, I have to do it south Dakota state plus 10 against Oklahoma state. It does suck because I have Oklahoma state as one of my favorite win totals. I think there's a chance they could get got. Gundy in the non-con doesn't always coach the best. If you look back, care, I don't understand it like dude, you got to win those games and especially when you're bringing in the FCS champions that are bringing back so much and a lot of players that turned down, making the jump to the FBS to come back and win another championship. I think they have a very good chance to cover this game. I'm not, I don't have them in my money line sprinkles, but there's probably going to end up being a sprinkle on them. Dude, I, I, I don't get it. I don't understand why he doesn't, they've probably got to lost a Tulsa like two or three times in the last three years and lost to south Alabama last year. He just doesn't care. Well, yeah, he really doesn't and I mean, after some of the offseason comments, I'm a little bit worried about. Swerving a little bit. I love Gundy, man, but like my, I'm going to have to change the phrase, never fade a Gundy. Never fade a Gundy. A big 12 point. Yeah. Yeah. You're right. Because the off season, it, I wrote down in one of the ones I wanted to talk about. What was it with Mason Rudolph when they got upset by central Michigan or granted they should not have lost that game. The refs fucked them at the end, but the fact that central Michigan was in that game. Yes. Matters. I'm terrified because I love Oklahoma state and I do too. I have them on my wind total. So I'm really like just hoping for the South Dakota cover, but Oklahoma state comes out with a win, but also even when I was going through their schedule, I factored in the fact that they could potentially lose this game, but all right, let's get rid of the one, one last favorite I have. I'm laying 24 in Pittsburgh against Kent state. Hall steam was named starter that disgusting Alabama transfer was a former top 40 ish recruit more than anything. I think Kent state sucks. I think they're really bad, really, really bad. My numbers have is a 29 and no matter what and who is on the roster, I think Pat and our doozy can roll out a good defense. I don't know if Kent state scores in this game. So if I don't think they score in this game, all I need is 25 points from pit. I think they get it. Kent state is really bad. And this is going to be another experiment we did last year just fade Kent state into proven wrong. I'm going to do it. I'm running it back. So lay the points with Panthers is just a disgusting play. I got one that's probably more disgusting, but no, no, no, you don't. For my next one, this one, I'm not so confident in. I just think that the numbers wrong. So I'm laying the 21. I believe you can find 20 and a halfs now with Indiana against FiU against the pit balls. Yes. Uh, still FiU has a lot of work to still be done on their roster. I don't understand why this number is what it is. I think Indiana is a lot better than the, than Vegas has given them credit for as of right now. Like I still think they have the opportunity to show a lot more as the season goes on. But I think that they thoroughly kick FiU's ass. Yeah, you've sold me on Indiana. That's almost like a Sunbelt all star team. It really is. But I mean, the way that I've kind of viewed Indiana is JMU with a lot more like better players sprinkled in there. And like how can they fare in the big 10 west? Yeah. And also like you get Nathan Roark who we like a lot Curtis. I always, I swear to God, I switch him up every single time. Yes. Is it worthy that Mike McIntyre's might be on the hot seat for FiU? It should. Cause he's a terrible coach. No, I, I've watched a lot of Q so last year because they were on the Tuesday and Wednesday slate. They found ways to just completely shit down their pants game after game. So I, I might, I might come with you. I haven't decided yet. Um, so I got two more. I'm ready to be so, to be so wrong. And I don't know if you have this on your, on your sheet here with your one play left. I took the 13 and a half with Vanderbilt against me to attack. I'm, I was so close to firing up Virginia tech. I'm taking it. Um, Virginia tech beat no teams outside of the bowl game and I don't care about bowl games. I just, I don't unless it's the playoff. They don't matter to me to beat zero teams of the winning record last year. And I'm bullish on VT. I think they're really good. I think Kyra drones is really good, but he's not going to prove it to me. Vanderbilt brought in a bunch of New Mexico state guys who were in the, in the Q said championship game, including Diego Pissant, Pavia. I think he can score on this VT team. I don't see a scenario or for where Vanderbilt beats Virginia tech, but I think they keep it to like a 10 point spread. I think it's just a little too many, too many points. But I would be shocked at Vanderbilt, like pulled the upset. I don't think that's possible, but I think he'd give it close as corners. I, I'm pretty sure betting, uh, Virginia tech right now, uh, rockers pick six already. Yep. Oh, I bet the over 28 in the first half, apparently, I just check my action. Well, in the rocker, or game, yeah, the over 28 in the first half. Okay. We got your on good pace. Cause there's eight 50 left in the first half. Yeah. A little bit. Cause you need every seven 50 or every seven 30 you would need a touchdown. So, um, I don't like that. Rutgers probably had the ball and didn't score. All right. Last play. Just going back to a well that has been so, so great. I'm trying to think of my head real quick. You know me. What conference? Big 10. You know me. I love, I love a good a high over, but I also love a disgusting under and there's no team that produces more of those than the Iowa Hawkeyes. I don't care that Kirk Farance isn't going to be coaching in this game. Give me the under 41 and a half between Iowa and Illinois state. What does concern me is the fact that because Kirk Farance isn't on the sidelines, well, Iowa decides to go all the sum for wide go air raid, go full airway air raid and like put up 50 something and like, hmm. We have a conversation, either way, I want to go back to the well because I want to believe that this is still the cash cow that always has been. So I almost took the, or almost laid the points with Iowa because what is it? I think it's like 25 right now. I have no idea. I don't see Illinois state scoring. The red birds aren't getting it. So I think if I would, I love that for my under can score 28, I think it'll be fine. I honestly think you're on the right side. I think it's going to be like 35 nothing or 31 or nothing to close it out. I took Sam Houston plus 10 at Rice. Listen, first year in the FCS for Sam Houston, they were for the Bearcats. They were three and nine, six of their nine losses were under 10 points. They keep everything close. This is the first start for EJ Warner in the rice system. Sam Houston last year also registered a ton of players kind of trying to build something there in, in Houston here. They're definitely not winning this game. 100% because they're even if they have a lead late in the game, they're going to find a way to fuck it up, but they are the Kings at keeping games close. Give me the plus 10 with the Bearcats. All right, let's get crazy here. These are my favorite ones to do. I got money line dogs here. I got four. Go ahead, rip them off obviously three to one West Virginia. Best one you can get those on ESPN. This is in the island. I'm not the 14 and a half scares me because I think there's scenarios where you see like just kind of covers and I, I don't feel enough. I don't feel like so great about the number so I'll throw a plus four, 12 and get their own draft Kings on a Hawaii and mixing in some money line parlays a little bit. This one you're going to laugh at me. Georgia Southern plus 390 against Boise State. Georgia. I don't hate it, but I also hate you. This is a talk of a team that is going to represent the group of five. Not so fast. Georgia Southern has started their seasons for four and two or better under Clay Hilton. Now they shit their pants down the end of the season. They always lose like five of six close a year out, but in the beginning of the year, they're normally like a tougher team until everybody figures out what they're running. And then lastly, I wanted to get real crazy 14 to one Tennessee tech versus middle Tennessee state. This is a rivalry. I can't wait to hear the breakdown for this. This is a rivalry game here. The reason I know that is because they play each other in basketball because they're both vision one and in that aspect, and you're also a loser. Yes. Tennessee tech is a FCS program. This rivalry, Tennessee tech actually leads the series 36 to 31 and I was reading up on the rivalry a little bit. They don't have a name for it, but they have like a totem pole that's been kind of passed around. So basically like middle Tennessee state had it and students from Tennessee tech snuck on to campus and stole it back and then middle Tennessee state went on to Tennessee tech campus, took it back, I'm going to throw a little, a little half unit at this one because middle Tennessee state left for the FBS and left the rivalry out. They're finally bringing it back a little bit. Let's get crazier. Let's take a 14 one. All right. I'll rip through mine starting off with the red hawks of Miami of Ohio plus one 28. I was wondering about that. That was one of the ones. I should have brought it up. I had written down as like talk me through it. It's do you think they can win that game? I definitely think they can win that game. I didn't want to take the three and a half. I know it's out there. I think they come away with a win here. Northwestern's quarterback is now the backup at Iowa. Yeah. And they're playing in that like weird stadium on like the like the on the literally on the lake. Um, next one, this one's just like a hope and a whim kind of North Texas plus one 80 against South Alabama, South Alabama lost a lot on this roster and on the coaching staff. North Texas brought in Chandler Morris. I think he's going to want to come into the system that is very, very past or past or quarterback helpful. I think that he's going to be able to put up points and I think they could catch South Alabama. Last one for me, Wyoming plus two 35 over Arizona state. Yeah. If that was in Laramie, I would like to know if it was in Laramie, first off, Wyoming would be favorite. Yeah, you're probably right. You're probably right. I'm just, I kind of want to wait and see from the Cowboys a little bit. Nope. I'm diving full on in. Let's let's ride them. I think I'll bet it with you just because obviously I love Wyoming, you love Wyoming. Yes. So, um, yeah, that's week one. Enjoy everything about it. We'll be back. I think, I think we're recording Wednesday because Tuesday, me and Connor are playing against two coworkers and a golf match that we've been talking. I've been talking some match shit all day. So please don't let me down. I don't understand why you always have to talk shit. And you probably said that I was the one doing it. Maybe. Yes, you're terrible at that. I will say with you, though, even when you play bad the day before or like the week before, you always show up to game day. So I have faith in that a lot more faith than I have myself. All right. Enjoy the games this weekend. We'll be back Wednesday to recap every single game that happened this weekend and later the very next day we'll be doing our week two bets. So until then, we're out. Peace. [MUSIC] Bye!
