And then before we start talking about, you know, them being a top 25 team with a win or two here. - Right, I would say both of those. Either Broncos or Buffs, or they are by far the two biggest. - What's more important though? What's the question? - Yeah, Broncos. Broncos Bucks, I think, is more important. - Are we seeing this clearly? I think the Broncos take a beat down from the Buccaneers this weekend. Hate to see it? - Yeah, yeah, we all picked Tampa Bay in a big way. Yesterday, even the Hooters girls did. They weren't, their faith is going down on the Broncos, like everyone else. I think so. I don't know, I think this one's not close. - I don't think it's anybody going down on the Broncos. I think it's the Broncos going down on everybody else these last few years. If you know what I mean, giggity. - Yeah, yeah. - All right. - Yeah, I think it's not good right now. And if they win this game, I'll be more than surprised. I would be pretty much shocked if they went on Sunday. They find a way to win. 'Cause I don't see how it happens. Tampa Bay's better in basically every area. I don't know how it's done. - No, they're like, Tampa Bay's a team that we're actually, they surprised everybody out good. They were last year. And they may be taking that next step. The only knock on them, knock. What am I speaking Chinese? Yeah, the knock on them is that we don't know how high bakers ceiling is with this team. We think we know like, oh well, you know, they're a 10-win team and gonna get bounced in the first round of the playoffs. I think that's probably what a lot of people think. But look at what the NFC is. I mean, what are we talking about here? I'm not a real big believer in Green Bay. It might take them another year to learn how to kind of win high level win. - Green Bay. - With, yeah, what did I say? - Yeah, you said Green Bay. - Yeah, with Jordan Love. - I'd be back this weekend already. - Yeah, you know, the NFC feels pretty wide open for the taking a little, but it seems like the 49ers and everybody else because it's a lot of hate on Nick Siriani. So, you know, when you look like a goof, when you talk like a goof like that, it's hard for people to kind of take you seriously, but some people are just goofy. - Yeah. - Some people are just kind of hot and goofy and goofballs. He's always got tons of them. - Literally, right, you know. - Yeah, National Anthem. - Yeah. - No Sean style. - Yeah. - Okay. - What, yeah. - Oh, just, yeah, I was thinking about, I was looking at their numbers Tampa Bay on defense. They've given up very few points, but they've given up a ton of yards. - So what does that tell you? - They're like fourth in points allowed but 28th in yards allowed. They've been really good in the red zone. - Yeah. - And tells me that. - And they're not as good in the open field. - Exactly. They've allowed a lot of rushing. - So, as Bonix got to throw that ball around, find some tight ends, find a way to make court and something look like the number one receiver when he's like, - Fine. But again, like man, the NFL's will shock you, will surprise you, will knock your socks off. Is this the week the Broncos defense really comes into their own, puts that complete game together, which it's not that they have and it's on the offense. It's really truly on the offense. I mean, they're teams, at least. But you saw it, something out of them. We need to see something. - I think about five games for me for rookie quarterback before we make any judgment about Nix. - That's just a general, no matter if you're-- - I think five games is fair. Two games is way too quick. You know, obviously not encouraging, but about five or six games. Oh, I thought you meant winning as a rookie. - Oh, no, before we get to win five games-- - Before we get to win five games-- - If we get to win five games-- - We'd be like, okay, they should make a change. Maybe look at Stidham, maybe look at Zach Wilson. I think that's enough time. That's a good enough baseline, I think, to judge Nix. Maybe after that, after that Raiders game in week five. But yeah, way far too early to panic and make a change. - It's easy to panic though, right? Don't you feel like can you feel the fan base? You've seen a million games, you've covered games, you're a media professional. - Being blunt about it, the offense has sucked for eight or nine years. It's been carried by the defense. - It's the fear. - And I'm just sick of it. - Yeah, it's fear and pain too. It's like the pain of just, we're seeing the same thing over again, and you get these bad feelings and it's hard to kind of imagine the players. Going gets tough, tough gets going. We're around here, fans and media guys are ready to stick a fork in these pigs and bury 'em. And we got to talk each other back off the ledge a little bit. - Yeah, it's like this season's felt a little different, I guess in the preseason, a rookie quarterback, saw all that success in the preseason, but it has not carried over whatsoever to the first two weeks. And it's starting to feel like the past since 2016, all over again, the past eight years. It's not a different season. But I guess any given Sunday, they could shock the world and go into Tampa Bay and even if they make it a close, respectable game, I'll feel pretty good about that if Nick's plays well, even if it's another loss. - No, no, no, I mean, imagine a 30, 27 loss. - I'd feel good about that. - And I know we touched downs. - Then we haven't yet used to playing the defense, but also let's go out there, let's keep pace, let's trade punches, they're a good team too. A good defense is still gonna have some days where they're gonna give up some points. It's about the offense and the defense kind of complimenting each other in a way to where when the clock strikes zero, you win the game. And that's part of the battle plan, man. And that's so many things going on a field, you know? It's like baseball, you know? Okay, let's talk about there and talk to him. Okay, all right, go take him out after this. Go take him out after this batter. And who are we bringing in? Bring in Johnson. Okay, so I mean, like those are tactical moves that could-- - Yeah, that could cause the outcome of your baseball game, but man, you're positioning the guys. You're coaching them up, you're skilling them. - Skilled. - Skilled. - You're skilling these guys, okay? You're skilling these guys, you are scheming. You are literally telling this guy where to stand on the field and what to do at all times. It's gotta come together. The guys gotta have some kind of talent. There's gotta be a leader, you know, like within that group, there's just so many things, football's hard. Football's so hard, and when it goes wrong, it's easy for it to go wrong-er, you know? And when it goes right, like we said, man, that fast start. He was checking all the boxes as training camp went along. He's cooking now. As the preseason started going, hey man, he can do this. This dude, he looks the part. - He's meant for this. - I mean, it was just like, okay, keep moving forward. It's clean, clean, clean, clean, clean, clean, clean. And then, you know, now we're feeling like they were bamboozled a little bit. - Hoodwinked. - Fulls goal. - Let us stray. - Yeah. - Run a muck. - I mean, just, it's tough. He's gotta look good this week. And the problem is his chance is to look good. Well, do you know what? It's Seahawks who have had a nice start. - They have talent. - And they're playing a playoff team right there in the thick of the playoffs for the last couple few years, let alone the last decade, but just more over recently. Doin' what they are right now, okay? The Steelers win games like that for 50 years of Steelers football. They do that. And Tom and does that to rookie quarterbacks over and over and over again. I mean, like, it's record because rookie quarterbacks is super special and impressive. So now those are excuses. Hopefully justified excuses because now you go play a Tampa Bay team that might be a little high on their horse or not as good as advertised. And we just played two gritty gutties. Maybe this defense is gonna loosen up, find some holes and maybe the Broncos now after going and playing against two majors teams are gonna go play in a Kaba AAA tournament now and cook. - That's good. Yeah, I like that. - You know what I mean, does that make sense? - It's a let down spot for Tampa Bay, right? - Totally. The NFL is totally-- - Coming up right in high, just beating Detroit in Detroit. - Yep. - Loose to them in the playoffs last year. - Oh, and the league's a balancing act and kind of a lot of averages. Jeff says the water finds it's level. - Level, right? - And then you're coming home against a bad Broncos team, you're thinking this is gonna be a walk in the park. So yeah, Sean Payton, feel like Sean Payton's years in New Orleans, they always played well in Tampa Bay. They always gave Brady trouble. - Yeah. - Those last couple of years and he's had a lot of success at that stadium. So hopefully that means something on Sunday. - Let's go to break. Good stuff, Alex. You're a pro. We will come back. We got a lot of stuff we gotta wrap this bad boy up with. Greenwood automotive, go check those guys out. They're incredible. They're great, they treat you so good. And I was just there the other day and their group of, you know, workers and a family is powerful, man. They are awesome. They're gonna treat you so good and they're gonna put zero pressure and even they got great cars. Go check them out, okay? Dady Williams, Alex Becker, no Jeff. We'll be back tomorrow if not. Well, two things. Caleb was disrespected. Tell people exactly what happened. - Okay, so they met on the field after the conclusion of the Sunday night game. - Nothing crazy about that. - Yeah, the Texans won, so Stroud's in a good mood. He went up to Caleb Williams, kind of gave him some advice. - A bunch of audio on it. Like you could hear him crystal clear though. - Like don't take so many hits, you know, just your normal stuff. Keep getting better, keep balling, all that stuff. And Stroud's trying to be like, you know, let's, we're like the next Allen in my homes, man. You know what I mean? - Yeah. - Like let's do this kind of like, he was trying to engage a little bit. I'm older than you, maybe being older than you or something like that. - I saw there one month apart. - Oh, see, I just made that up, I love that. So, probably somewhere in the middle, did he try to big bro him? Maybe a little bit. But Caleb Williams should understand that CJ Stroud is now not only one of the best players in college football, he's one of the best players in the NFL. That's just the truth. - Totally. - It's what it is. So, you know, you wanna, you know, keep your enemies close, right? Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer. - Is that the thing? - I think so. - Yeah. - He was saying as a rookie last year, other older quarterbacks did that to him, you know, went up to him after the game. - Oh yeah, for sure. I mean, of course. - If he was just trying to, you know-- - All day long, you see it everywhere. - Hands, you see it all the time. - I don't see anything wrong with that. - Ah, you know, I don't either, unless you wanna make something of it. You know, don't stop. No stuff won't be no stuff. - Okay. - But also, do you think Caleb Williams is a little too cool for school attitude? - Caleb Williams, too cool for school. He needs to get humbled a little bit. - I think so, yeah. When you're the number one pick, though, like the ego and all that kind of stuff, I don't mean it in a bad way. I actually mean it in a really good way. Because it fuels this guy to have achieved everything he has in life. And I said, I actually like a little jerk face in my quarterback. I kind of like that. So I personally don't have a problem with that kind of stuff. And it's a lot of things to be a lot of pressure, too. You got the weight of the literally the whole world, or at least the whole state of the world. You know, you've got the weight of the, the whole world, or at least the whole state, the whole region, all bears kind of nation country. - Bears country? - Yeah, so you got all that kind of pressure on you and you got to live up to it. And then, you know, I want Stroud set off. I just thought that, hey, these guys are both going to be great players. But I think those days are over. I think days of having success and a chance in Carolina are over because if you're moving on from him this quick, well, then two things have to happen. You've got to fire the coach, okay? And instead of the coach getting himself fired, he benched Bryce Young and is trying to save his own job and he's going to go show the world what I can do with the competent quarterback in Andy Dalton. So I don't know, you know, shoot. I might put a little flyer on, you know, on Carolina this weekend because they can't be any worse. And Andy Dalton does know what he's kind of doing. I think the problem is they're not very talented. I think they're the worst. They got the least talent in the NFL because who's there, Sir Tan? Who's there? - JC Horn. - Okay, who's their minors?
