A.B.C. Thursdays. Welcome back. Grey's Anatomy is all new. Why didn't you tell me you were pregnant? The drama going down. Bunchy jumper from the bridge. Your cord snapped. You need all hands on deck. Is unbelievable. You think your gods give to this hospital? You're just another doctor. My relationship with Catherine is complicated. I'm going to sue you. Your lawyers know where to find me. You're unbelievable. Grey's Anatomy. Only Thursdays, 10/9c on ABC. And stream on Hulu. BELL BEEP Beverly Hills emergency. Somebody killed my parent. Pardon me? I came home and I found them. From the creators of Dommar. OK, you have to shoot first so that you don't back out. OK. Based on the horrific, true events. I better get him to do this. Monsters, the Lyle and Eric Menendez story, now play only on Netflix. It's a story we know all too well. But it isn't a love story. Trump just couldn't shake it off and be delicate after Taylor Swift endorsed Conala Harris. And now he and Taylor Swift have bad blood. In my message to Trump, you need to calm down because you aren't out of the woods yet. Trump and Taylor Swift have beef. Let's talk about it. Yeah, you better. Yeah, you better. Guys, before we get into today's video, please like and subscribe. I try to do my best in that intro sort of weave in some swifty lore for those of you who are going to be watching on Taylor Swift's behalf. But we got to talk about the ongoing beef between Taylor Swift and Donald Trump. And I didn't think this was going to be beef until Donald Trump made it into beef. When he posted, I hate Taylor Swift. I can't believe this is actually a real story, but we're going to unpack it for you guys. As you all know, following the debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, Taylor Swift announced that she would be endorsing Kamala Harris in a lengthy Instagram post where she cited her support of Tim Walz, some of his LGBTQ stances, a picture with her and her cat. As we all know, JD Vance has talked about childless cat ladies and Taylor Swift happens to be a member of that category. And maybe that influenced her endorsement of Kamala Harris just a bit. But again, she puts out this lengthy Instagram post, encouraging people to register to vote. And of course, endorsing Kamala Harris, I think this led to a few hundred thousand people actually visiting the website to register to vote. How much of an impact is actually going to have on the election? I do not know. But this, of course, was nationwide news. Everybody was saying Taylor Swift has so much influence, nearly 300 million followers on Instagram, the platform where she posted this endorsement. And this was making waves. Now I expected Donald Trump to respond to this. I don't know that I expected him to respond in the way that he did. He posted online saying, "I hate Taylor Swift. I'm being so for real right now. I hate Taylor Swift with his response." And you know what? Sometimes you guys accuse me of not criticizing Donald Trump enough. I don't know if I agree with that criticism, but I'm going to say right now, this was not the response that Donald Trump should have thrown out towards Taylor Swift in the wake of her endorsement. It doesn't make a lot of sense. I don't think it's going to help his campaign in any way, shape, or form. And honestly, in a lot of ways, I think it hurts his campaign more than Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris. We all knew how Taylor Swift felt about politics. She's made that abundantly clear through her life, through documentary series. She even cried once in talking about Donald Trump and the horrible impact that he's going to have on this country. And that was posted for all Taylor Swift fans to see. So it's no shock whatsoever that she's come out and endorsed Kamala Harris. If you're a fan of Taylor Swift, if you're not a fan of Taylor Swift, we pretty much all knew this is where she was politically. And Trump knew this as he's acknowledged it in the past. What do you think about Taylor Swift, the most famous, one of the most famous people right now? Yeah, I think she's beautiful. Very beautiful. I find her very beautiful. I think she's liberal. She probably doesn't like Trump, but I hear she's very talented. But I think she's very, I think she's a very beautiful action. Unusually. Beautiful. All right. So mixed inside the many plays calling her beautiful, he says, I don't think she likes Trump, referring to himself and the third person, another interesting thing to say. But he knew that he acknowledged that she was liberal. But now on the other end of this endorsement, he's saying that he hates Taylor Swift. And I say it every time we talk about Taylor Swift on this channel, I am not a Swiftie. In fact, I have many points of criticism for Taylor Swift, some in regard to her music and her putting her exes on blast, others in regard to her politics. I don't agree with her stance on this current election. I don't agree with her stance on LGBTQ issues. I don't agree with the fact that she talks about the catastrophic impact of climate change while flying all over the world and her private jet. She was actually ranked the celebrity with the highest carbon emissions. So there's a lot of hypocrisy going on in her corner of the room, but do I hate Taylor Swift? Absolutely not. And as I said, this unshocking endorsement from Taylor Swift really went crazy. Taylor was talking about it and some had some very visceral reactions like that of Donald Trump's. Meghan Kelly have this to say about Taylor's endorsement of Kamala and walls. Some lunatic dropped a note in my personal mailbox outside my house begging me not to boycott Taylor Swift as though I had that power. I'm allowed to criticize Taylor Swift and I don't give a who gets upset. This is disgusting. She wants to vote Harris walls. She can do it all she wants. But to say the reason she's doing it is because of Tim Walz's stance on LGBTQ FU Taylor Swift and F all of the people who want to see these children have body parts chopped off and watch them sterilize under the age of consent. And then we'll write off to their multi gazillion dollar mansions never to think of them again. Okay. Now this bit of criticism from Meghan Kelly is far more reasonable from what we heard from Donald Trump. I hate Taylor Swift is way different from laying out actual valid criticism that you have were the things that she's saying and what she's endorsing within her message. And even with that valid criticism, we know that the sound buy is going to come out of that clip is FU Taylor Swift and then people are going to run with this narrative about the conservative rights that we hate anybody who disagrees with us. And we're going to come out with these extremely strong statements towards somebody who wants to vote for Kamala. And don't get me wrong. I applaud the valid criticism that is being laid out against Taylor Swift in many of these clips and in many of the tweets that I'm seeing about her endorsement. But I don't know that I've ever had a visceral reaction towards any celebrity endorsement. And I'm not going to start now, especially when it comes from somebody like Taylor Swift, who I'll say again, we knew was going to vote in this direction and throw an endorsement towards Kamala Harris. This is not surprising. This is not news in my opinion. And again, I'll say the response to the endorsement. I think generates a more negative impact than the endorsement itself. What Trump did here was take the bait. If the Swift released her endorsement, he could have sat on it or he could have released a reasonable response to the endorsement with understanding that that has been her position and probably will be her position for the foreseeable future. Instead, he had to go and say that he hates Taylor Swift. And it is very reminiscent of what we saw happen on debate night between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. She baited him in a specific instance where she spoke about his rallies and them being boring or so ridiculous that people feel they need to leave early. Instead of shrugging off the comment and focusing on more reasonable attacks on the Kamala Harris campaign, Trump took the bait and had to defend himself, defend his rallies, defend how entertaining they are. He had to defend his ego. And that seems to be what happened with this whole Taylor Swift situation as well. And if you don't think that's true, all juxtaposed Trump's "I Hate Taylor Swift" response with a more reasonable one. And that came from his running mates, J.D. Vance. Let's read it. "J.D. said, 'I don't think most Americans, whether they like her music, are fans of hers or not, are going to be influenced by a billionaire celebrity who I think is fundamentally disconnected from the interest and problems of most Americans. When grocery prices go up by 20%, it hurts most Americans. It doesn't hurt Taylor Swift." J.D. took a breath. He took a beat. He pointed out very valid criticisms of Taylor Swift that many all across the board share. And he invalidated her opinion because her opinion doesn't really reflect the experience of most Americans, and that's what needed to be done. That's what Trump needed to do. Instead, he posted, "I hate Taylor Swift." Which what is somebody supposed to do with that? Either they agree with you and they also hate Taylor Swift, or they like her or they like her music, they like her political stances, and now they know that you hate her. The most common criticism I hear of Donald Trump from people, from all parts of the political spectrum, is that his mouth gets in the way of his actions and the things that he's trying to accomplish. And I think this is yet another example of exactly that taking place. And of course, the media plays this up and they've launched endless attacks against Donald Trump. These attacks have led to even assassination attempts of Donald Trump. And there's a whole 'nother video to be made about that whole situation, and we've done it. But when Trump has moments like these, he is actively handing them ammunition. He needs to take a beat. He needs to set his ego aside before he responds to things like these because a measured response is going to benefit him and his campaign so much in the days leading up to people actually headed to the ballot box. People have heard the spun stories about Donald Trump. They are listening to the media lies and propaganda. What they need to see is a candidate that in no way shape or form is reflecting the ideas that are being spun by the media. And of course, the bulk of my frustration when it comes to this upcoming election lies with the media and the propaganda apparatus that is constantly throwing out lies and feeding us these endless distractions. But I also have to give a little bit of criticism towards Trump when I feel as though he allows these distractions to take root in his own mind and then be pushed online by his own rhetoric. Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris. Big whoop. Literally, shake it off. Guys, those are just my thoughts on this story. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments down below. As always, I encourage healthy debates. If you disagree with anything said in this video, do get out, but do so respectfully.
