with you guys with me. Also, it's trying to find another place because we're going to have a little bit of a break. And I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. It's going to be a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. I'm going to have a little bit of a break. Because we're not in the studio today, and I'm doing the show from home, one of my producers needed to be at home. And so you see there's, I don't know if you guys can see that crane. It looks like a window washing thing, you know, from, it looks like a window washing thing from buildings. Well, the window washers, they're not window washers, they're doing, they're like fixing the bricks on my building. So I will show you, they are right outside of my place. Let's see. And so you can see, they're right outside over there where they're right there. And they're outside and there's music and I'm up, you see a moving, you can see the movement. So I'm up, I'm not exactly on a low floor. So they're working right outside of my home studio. And you'll probably be able to hear them and some knocking and what have you. So that's it. How are you guys doing this morning? I was trying to decide between, well, by the way, welcome, you know, this is a show where we get you caught up. And it's a little bit lighter than the show that we have at night. So I was trying to decide between my view mug. And I'll tell you why that or Wendy, my Wendy Williams mug, who am I channeling this morning? I think it's Wendy. And you guys know, I know all of the ladies at the view and I know Wendy as well. And you know, Wendy is really missing, daytime television is really missing something with Wendy. Wendy is missed. Say what you want. A lot of people loved her. A lot of people love her. A lot of people hate her. But she is a talent man and daytime is not the same without Wendy Williams. I mean, she could just sit there in that purple chair. Can you imagine what she would be doing right now? Let me fix this. It relates to what's going on with Diddy. Can you imagine? I mean, Wendy would be all over it. And I would be into it just watching her because she actually, I mean, they made up. You know, they had an issue back in the day. So good morning, everyone. I miss Wendy says, Janet Davis, yes, I do too, yes, I miss her so much, says Ashley Nicole life. Now, look, not everybody knew our watch a show could appreciate it. There's a certain kind of, you had to have a certain kind of taste or interest in what she was doing. But she did. Nobody did pop culture or does pop culture like Wendy Williams. Nobody. Nope. Can you guys hear that? I wish I could open the window and talk to you, but they have these blue things over the window to stop the dust. It's called where they're, I think they'll call it repointing the bricks where they're, you know, fixing them so that they don't get brittle and fall off and hurt people. So that's what they're doing on the high floor and they're working right out there. So, yeah, we have a lot to talk about. A lot of you guys joined us last night. Thank you so much for joining us. We did a live show on the Oprah Kamala Harris event, and I'm so glad that you guys joined us. And also on the live at five show, we discussed what was happening with Robinson, what's his name is it? It's not Mark Robinson, is it? Yeah. Same as Mark Robinson. Cause I know, and remember there was also Mark Robinson, a pastor who was a trumper, pastor that I used to have on. This is another Mark Robinson who said that he was a black Nazi. Okay. So we're going to talk about all of that today, but I have some housekeeping before I get to it, because I had Dr. Chindrai Kamoneke on yesterday. And he was a great guest. We talked about the story that he was, he wanted to talk about. We talked about that Mark Robinson, and then we talked about a story that he has been very invested in, but I was remiss and not talking to him about his fantastic podcast. I want to make it up now to him. Okay. So, and I want you guys to go and watch and subscribe because it's very good. So if you watched our live at five yesterday, you saw him, it was phenomenal. He's an assistant professor at NYU school of journalism. He's also an executive producer and the host of the brand new crooked media, Wondery podcast is called Empire City, Empire City. It examines the history of the NYPD and you really need to check out this podcast, Dr. Chindrai Kamoneke takes you on a journey to uncover the hidden history of the largest police force in the world, from its roots in slavery to rival police gangs battling across the city to everyday people who resisted every step of the way again. The podcast is by crooked media. I love crooked media. I love those guys over there over on, you know, God pod save America. And then there's, there's, I see the guy right there, and then there's pod save the world. Is this funny that they're just right outside? I know I'm, I'm kind of obsessing over it, but there he is. Should I knock on the window? You seeing? Anyways, so there you go. Okay. So check out the podcast. Thank you very much. Okay. So last night, if you were watching, if you saw what was happening, we got a lot for you, but dozens of grassroots groups, groups took to the street, took to, I mean, sorry, I'm thinking about the police protest, took part in this event that includes when with black women, black dudes for Harris, the cat ladies for Kamala. There were a bunch of folks, Vice President Kamala Harris joined Oprah Winfrey at a star studied campaign event in Farmington Hills, Michigan on Thursday. Harris's campaign advisors saw the unite for America event that was aimed at getting people to register to vote as a huge opportunity to reach a broad cross section of persuadable voters. They were trying to win some new voters there. Okay. And so the event was reminiscent of Oprah's long running talk show. I mean, it looked like Oprah's talk show like just a version of a talk show, a newer version that they revamped it, that they made it, you know, more relevant now digitally. She had a huge digital audience, this is going to give Oprah some ideas. I would not be surprised. I would not be surprised if the Oprah Winfrey show comes back, the new iteration of the Oprah Winfrey show. Like last night, she sort of probably got the bucks. She learned something that people are still interested in what Oprah has to say. And I don't know if it's going to be something daily, but I think it's going to be a talk show that is going to be similar to the old talk show, but updated, maybe not as frequent. So we'll see. Never count out Oprah, right? John is wearing a Gordon, the trail that he bought at Paisley Park. No, this is a row back. And it's, you know, it's a golfing shirt or something like that. But anyway, that's what I'm wearing. So it's not the Gordon Kent trail or whatever you said, a Gordon Gritrell. So thank you for that. So, um, it was reminiscent of her studio. They had, I mean, I'm sure millions of people watch this. I'm not sure. Probably hundreds of thousands at the time. And there were tons of celebrities there, Winfrey pointed out the array of celebrities, including Chris Rock, Jennifer Lopez, Joey Roberts, Meryl Streep, what's her name? Tracy Ellis Ross was there as well. Lots of folks, lots of folks, lots of folks. The guy from Breaking Bad was there. So she's given a few interviews, Vice President Harris, and press conference since it's becoming the Democratic presidential candidate after Vice President dropped out. But, um, you know, she has done, hasn't done a lot of press conferences, leaving little time for off cup, off the cup remarks. So now she's doing it. Okay. And I just want to point to, you know, what happened last night and whether you think it was a good idea to have celebrities, because they said they weren't going to lean into celebrities that they were going to, you know, sort of move away from celebrities, talk to real people, have real people involved in the campaign, speak to white women, all these demographics, white women, black men, dudes, white dudes, and all of that. But they had an array of celebrities there last night. Let me know what you think. Do you think it was, did it work? Should she continue to lead into celebrities that many times turns off, you know, everyday working folk, because they think like, Hey, you know, you're more interested in celebrities and not interested in what we have to say. Okay, CBS mornings, talked about the Oprah event. We're going to play a little bit of it just to get you caught up. Here it is. I'll be back after the sound bite. It's classic Oprah. Please welcome Kamala Hara on a Detroit stage resembling the set for her long running talk show. The host interviewed vice president Harris with a live audience and thousands of virtual guests. Oh, President Harris, including several celebrities, the campaign hopes star power will propel Harris's message on everything from January 6th to gun control. When you said you have guns, no, I had the debate. I'm a gun owner, Tim. I know that. And I thought that was probably my house again, shot. Yes. Yes. I hear that. I hear that. Probably should not have said that. Oprah asked Harris about suddenly soaring to the top of the ticket when President Biden stepped down. I felt a sense of responsibility to be honest with you. And with that comes a sense of purpose. The in person audience members were voters from Michigan, a battleground state where Harris is virtually tied with Trump in the latest CBS News poll. Kamala Harris has done absolutely nothing. Last night in Washington, D.C., Trump focused on Jewish Americans at two events to combat anti-Semitism. Okay. We're going to talk about that. So don't, we're getting into some stuff we're going to talk about. And I think it's better if we discuss it rather than just playing a video. So thank you to the folks over over at CBS mornings. I really appreciate that. My goodness. My glasses, I can barely see and I hope this is okay too, because I had to change. I broke my phone. I dropped my phone last night. So let me know if it's okay. And I dropped the camera as well as I was doing the Oprah event last night. So you saw what she had to say there. You saw with the event. I mean, and let me know if you think that this is good. Now I have people telling me last night that they thought they think that Oprah and Kamala Harris should be doing these town halls like almost weekly. I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen and they should be going to swing states and battleground states and doing these events. Last night, pulled at my heartstrings says Hamilton. The fact that we live in a country where Trump can get more than 10% of the votes scares angers and sadness me says, Reggie, the commenter, do you think they should be doing more of these events around the country? Did you like it? Come on, tell me. I want to know. I want to know. So last night, they dug into some issues. It wasn't just all flop and laugh and whatever they did pull at people's hearts when they talked about women and reproductive rights and there was a woman, a family who lost their loved one because she could not get the care that she needed and she died and a woman needed a DNC. So reproductive rights is not just about unintended pregnancies. It's about a lot more than that. And so they talked about that issue, but they also talked about this gun issue. As you know, at the debate, Kamala Harris, Vice President Kamala Harris, told Donald Trump, "Hey, could you stop with the lie that we're taking people's guns and that I'm anti-gunned because both Tim Walz and I are gun owners?" And then last night, she reasserted her gun ownership and doubled down on it saying, "Look, if you are a robber, if you're up to no good, do not go to Kamala Harris' house. Watch this." >> It's powerful at the convention when you said you have guns. No, at the debate. >> I'm a gun owner, Tim Walz. >> I did. I know that. [laughter] >> And I thought they were trying my house the game shot. [laughter] >> Yes, yes. I hear that. I hear that. >> Probably should not have said that. [laughter] >> But my staff will deal with that later. [laughter] >> Okay, look, here's how I feel about it. I think that's exactly what she should have said because you guys know how I feel. I say that they take a beat and take a lesson from Hillary Clinton. By the way, who I respect and admire Hillary Clinton, so I'm not, you know, this is no shade on Hillary Clinton. But in 2016, I think that Hillary Clinton was too careful and, you know, she picked and chose her interviews, and now she has, and she was uptight, you know, I think she felt like, you know, as a woman, I'm sure she probably felt that way. I can't speak for her, that she had to carry herself in a certain way that men don't have to do because it's automatically assumed that men get the credibility just because they're men. So perhaps that was it. But she was too buttoned up, I believe. And I think when I see Hillary Clinton in person and I speak to her, she's so personable. She's warm. She's brilliant. I think if people, if folks had seen a little bit more of that, it might have made the difference for her in 2016. That's all I'm saying. So I believe the same thing with Kamala Harris. I think these events show her humanity, and they're good for her. I think there should be a little bit, I'm not, you know, she should start with a little bit more policy and then continue on with the policy and keep going and keep going. Yikimo says, "I agree. True Dawn says T.A.R." Yes, I'm just, you know, I'm just giving, I'm just telling you the truth. So I think that the same thing with Kamala Harris, if you come to me, if you approach my house and you're not supposed to be there, you're going to get shot, absolutely. And you know what? I feel the same way, VP Harris, I feel the same way. And there's nothing wrong with being a responsible gun owner. It is supposed, having guns are supposed to be about either, excuse me, not fishing, but hunting, right? Or protecting yourself responsibly. So if someone comes into your home and you catch you off guard, they're not supposed to be there, and it's perhaps if they are armed as well, you're going to get it. So I'm glad that was a real moment to say, "Uh, probably shouldn't have said that. I love it. I love it. Keep doing that." Y'all might disagree. Remember, Brittany KO1, you're so right, remember, she is a former prosecutor. So she knows, she knows, she is law enforcement. She's robbing the right of one of their talking points, yes, illustrious meme. That's what she should do, okay? Now, you guys know, I think that they, you tell me if you disagree, I think that they have been watching my material from social and from the show that I've been doing, when I went to the convention, remember speaking to black men, I'm going to continue to do that because I know they're watching. And because nobody was talking about this, I'm doing an Oprah. Nobody was talking about this until I started talking about it. And as a matter of fact, when I bring it up, people try to avoid it. And I go to certain events, a democratic event, to whatever, if I speak to people, try to avoid this issue because they feel like, yeah, we don't want to talk about that, right? But I'm talking about black men and their support for Donald Trump. I went to the convention. I stopped in different places and I talked to folks, right? Remember that? Will they address this whole stimulus check? Donald Trump is better for your wallet, last night, here it is, watch. People, that I got the check, he gave us the check, and so therefore, forget about everything else, it's about the checks. Well, what he doesn't know is that Congress actually paid for the check and the American people pay for it. (Applause) No, no, no, 45 just signed it, so, okay, look, there's a, what do you want to say to that kind of thinking? Because a lot of people feel that way. We're not a monolith. You can have your viewpoint and views for where you believe. But I think choosing, if I have the choice to go into someone to make the best decision for my family, I don't want someone who has 34 convictions. I don't want someone who is going to choose hate over choosing the best possible way to unite us as a country. And so, I see my President Harris as being the best person to do that. Thank you very much. Thank you. (Applause) Okay, so, look, they should have had me talk about this. I agree with him, but it should have gone further. It should have said, what he should have said was, it's not just that we said he signed the check. Trump didn't personally sign the check. Trump held up the giving, the releasing of the check, because he wanted his name on the check. Not that he signed it. That was, do you think he signed it? That was a boom. That was a stamp and then they just mass produced it for everything, okay? I would have also reminded them, the audience. So many people watching missed opportunity that Joe Biden, the Biden-Harris administration, Vice President Harris is sitting on that stage, I would have said, not only was it not true that Donald Trump did not give anybody a check, it was a Democratic Congress led by Nancy Pelosi, but the person, the Vice President, that sitting on the stage as part of the administration, that also gave them a stimulus check and they do not realize that. When you have the opportunity, you take whatever it is and you own it, okay? That's what I would have said. I'm glad they brought it up, but I would have made that point because the whole point about 34 accounts, I'm just going to tell you, it's not resonating with people. It's not resonating with people, especially people who have been part of the justice system who have had their brushes with the justice system, whether it's incarceration or whatever it is. I'm just being honest with you, calling Donald Trump a convicted felon doesn't really resonate with people who've had their brushes with the justice system because they feel like you are in some way insulting them or using it as a pejorative against them, right? Because people have issues all the time. People have their bouts with the justice system, not everybody's perfect, and not everyone who's had their bouts with the justice system is ineligible to vote. Even Donald Trump is a convicted felon, remember he voted early, right? So in some places, felons can vote or people who have committed crimes, let's put it that way, can vote. So people who have committed crimes in their lives, they don't really like that. That doesn't resonate with them. I'm just being real, I'm telling you the truth, okay? So I don't know if I would have said that. I would have just said someone who, I think I would have found a way to finesse that. That's all I'm saying, okay? Now I think at the end, at the end of this, let me just make sure that I'm not getting any messages from Nikki, let me know if you have another sound bite. Oh, okay. Let me know if you have another sound bite. Okay, so when I talked about last night, I said, I've talked about issues, I got it, Nikki, thank you. I talked about issues that are relatable to people, and I pulled at the heartstrings. This is a mother of Amber Nicole Thurmond, the woman who died in what was revealed to be a preventable death, resulting from Georgia's ultra-restrictive abortion law. She spoke out for the first time, here it is, another issue that's very important. Another Shannette, an older sister, CJ, and then Drica are here, and they are, they wanted to be here tonight to speak out for the first time. Miss Shannette, what do you want us to know about Amber's story? Initially, I did not want the public to know my pain. I wanted to go through in silence, but I realized that it was selfish. I want y'all to know Amber was not a statistic. She was loved by a family, a strong family, and we would have done whatever to get my baby, our baby, the help that she needed. When a pro-public came to my home, I pushed them away, "No, no, no," but Kavithya, she kept, she was persistent. She said, "It was something that you needed to know. You have to hear me. Even around the world, people around the world need to know that this was preventable." Two years later, after speaking with my daughters, because I lost strength, I lost hope, you're looking at a mother that is broken. The worst pain ever that a mother, that a parent could ever feel, her father and myself and the family, you're looking at it. There you go. A heartbreaking story that I think resonates with a lot of people, and I think it's going to resonate with Republican women as well. You guys know, I think that there are hidden votes all over the place, people who are not picked up in this polling, and I think that Republican women on this issue have not been accounted for in the polling and in the focus groups, and even in the focus groups, they're not going to tell you exactly how they feel about this issue. They're not going to tell you. I do think that they will go into the voting booth, and they will vote a certain kind of way, and I believe that they will vote for the vice president because of this issue of women's reproductive rights. I really do believe that 100%. Now you can tell me if you can disagree with me all you want, I do believe that that's going to happen. I was looking for the part in the book where I had been talking to you guys about women's reproductive rights because there's a whole chapter in the book that I dedicate to that, because I think that resonates. I think that resonates with more people than you know, I think it resonates with men, and it should, if it doesn't, it should resonate with men and with everyone. That really hit me. That really, really, really hit me last night. What did you think about it? That woman no longer has a daughter because of these laws. No longer has a daughter. Sorry. Yeah. That's what I mean everybody about, let's just be honest here. Can we talk? Can we talk y'all? There's not one law that I know that tells dudes are men, are bros, or anybody, hey, you can't, you know, this is what you can do with your body, not one law. There's a very good example, and it's an odd example, of the hypocrisy when it comes to this, okay? Can we talk? Let's just be honest, I'm going to veer off a little bit here. So you guys know, you remember who Bruce Jenner was, right? And you know who Caitlyn Jenner is now. Bruce Jenner became Caitlyn Jenner, transition. Bruce Jenner is a trumper, conservative trumper, so it's just a trans woman. Now there is no one telling Bruce Jenner who wants to become Caitlyn Jenner, which is a right, right? This is, which is fine if you try, I believe in trans rights, don't get me wrong. And no one is telling Caitlyn Jenner what she can do with her body. If she wants to go through and have the surgery, I think she has. If she wants to have top surgery, bottom surgery, whatever it is, she wants to do that. No one is saying you can't do it. No one's, right, so she becomes, she gets rid of male genitalia, and then she's a female genitalia. And no one is saying you can't do that. And now Caitlyn Jenner is telling women, I was supposed to say this, with uteruses what they can do with their bodies, that they can't, they shouldn't have abortion. Make it make sense for me. Make it make sense for me. That is an, I just think that's an example of the real true hypocrisy. Bruce Jenner is a man, a man who wants to turn into a woman and wants to transition to a woman again. I'm not against that. That's totally fine. I respect that. I believe in trans rights. So don't get me wrong. And maybe I'm not saying it perfectly. And no one is telling a man that you cannot become a woman. So why should any man or anyone be telling a woman what she could do? I'm just trying to bring a stark example home for you. When people are dying, I write in the book about my friend Fiona, who almost died because she could not get the care that she needed because it would have been a late term abortion. She almost died. It turned her from a Republican to an independent. It turned her from a devout Christian to not going to church ever again. Again, that's why I wrote the book, one of the main reasons, okay? So I do agree that I think because of what's on the line, because of democracy and all of that, I do believe that it would be good to have these town halls in different swing states around the country, battleground states, and to air them. I mean, it's with the technology now, there's so much that you can do. It's not just like, oh my gosh, we got to put it on a broadcast channel. We have to ask them to broadcast it. We have to, oh, you got to do ad rates and the venue and the unions for all the staff and the crew and who's going to, there's got to be a distribution deal. And who's going to be our sponsors? Is it going to be Coke? Is it going to be Pepsi? Oh, they're going to talk about political issues. I'm afraid to talk about it. Can we get Kat like to do this? Can we do whatever? Was it? All right, we got to get all this stuff. You don't have to do that now. You sitting at home can go live from your living room and as many people who want to watch you can watch you and the Harris campaign and Oprah Winfrey, or whomever it is, can do the same thing and get a virtual audience like they did last night. I mean, it was very well produced, obviously, they spent a lot of money on last night. Oprah's got the dose, so I mean, come on, she's a multi-billionaire. I'm just saying that they can do it. So come on, men who are out there, conservatives who are out there, think about what that family went through when you are trying to place your religious values and beliefs on someone else. It ain't right. Now, for me, if I had to decide, and I don't, because I don't have to decide, because one, I'm not a woman, two of a gay man or whatever, but let's just say if I was in that situation it would be hard for me to say, "I don't know about an abortion." See, I don't believe anybody's pro-abortion. I think everybody's pro-life. I think it would be a tough decision for me, but I'm not going to say just because I would have a tough time with it that I should tell other people what to do with it. I have a very good friend. You guys know Sunny Hostin, she said this a lot, "Sunny from the View," doesn't believe in abortion, but she also does, for herself personally, because she's a devout Catholic. But she doesn't believe that she should tell women what to do with their bodies, and she believes in women's reproductive rights, but that one part she has an issue with. I respect that. So Oprah made a good plea to folks who were undecided, and we're going to talk about those undecided voters and this whole idea about rhetoric and what are you undecided about? She, I think, by the way, to hit the thumbs up, please. We have a lot of people watching, and there's not enough thumbs up and likes for my liking. Okay? And then I'm going to read some of your things. Going to church doesn't make you any more a Christian than being a garbage. Being in a garage makes you a car, says Cindy D, "A men 100% thank you. I believe in choice," says learning to love myself. Kristen Thompson says, "I never wanted one, but had no choice. The care needs to be between the doctor and the woman. Lisa G, I believe in free will." G.W. says, "Sometimes our bodies break down during pregnancy, and the mom is putting her life on the line." Yes. It's more about that. Michael McCullough says, "Visectomy, I agree. They are reversible. It would actually be the easiest option for both parties. Unfortunately, most of us cis heteros are too damn selfish." Speak on it, Michael! Emily in the chat, "Give Michael McCullough a giant heart, thumbs up, fire, lemons, whatever, you get it, Michael. Thank you very much for that. Amen. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Give him a big. Michael, thank you so much. Okay? So Oprah had a big appeal to undecided voters at the end, and I thought this was a really great moment. Okay? Here it is. I just want to say, for all of you watching who are still on the fence, you're in the middle, you're independent as I am, or whether you're just still don't know what you're going to do, this is the moment for all decent people, all caring people who want the best for yourself and you want the best for other people. This is the moment for people who are tired of all of the bickering and all of the name calling, people who are exhausted by the craziness and the made up stories and the consequences. This is the moment you want to get on with your life because you know that we can do better and that we deserve better. You know this, I know you know this, I know you feel this, I know this is what you're saying amongst yourselves. It's in all the conversations that we're having, that you're having, and we're better than this. We're better. We're better. And we want to create a world where our children will be safe in school again. And as my friend and mentor Maya Angelou always said, "When you know better, you got to do better." Thank you. So let's do better, and vote for Kamala Harris. I thought that was a really good moment by Oprah Winfrey. You know, I don't like to tell people who to vote for, but I thought that was a really good moment. I thought that was very convincing. What do you think of that? And because, you know, I think, what do you think of it? You know, I think that was a very good moment, is because it was true, is because we do know better, is because we have seen all the madness for the last decade as it relates to MAGA. We've seen the racism, we've seen the bigotry, we've seen the homophobia, we've seen the xenophobia, we've seen the anti-Semitism, we've seen all of it, the Islamophobia. We've seen the toxic language and rhetoric. I don't know if we've seen it, we've experienced it. We have experienced it, and that is no BS. That is no, you know, oh, beer being partisan, you're crazy, you're not looking at it. And I am so tired, guys, of people I have seen it lately since Dan Abrams the other night hit me to it. People taking my comments about rhetoric, Donald Trump's rhetoric, out of context, trying to make it seem like I am promoting someone to do violence against Donald Trump. That's not it. I preface it by saying everyone should be safe. The hypocrisy is in Donald Trump saying Democrats or Kamala Harris or Joe Biden or Barack Obama are the ones with the toxic rhetoric who are forcing people to do or inciting people to do violent acts. It's just ridiculous because the evidence speaks for itself. And JD Vance, JD Vance on Monday blamed for a second time for that second assassination attempt. I mean, one was an assassination attempt. The other one was an attempt at assassination attempt. There's a slight difference there, but, you know, on the former president. He said, quote, "The big difference between conservatives and liberals is that no one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months, and two people have tried to kill Donald Trump in the last couple of months." He added, "I'd say that's pretty strong evidence that the left needs to tone down the rhetoric and needs to cut this crap out. Somebody's going to get hurt by it, and it's going to destroy this country." JD Vance, again, I will tell you, I'm going to say exactly what I said before, yes, everybody can tone down the rhetoric. I agree with that. I said, "Some people are going to be surprised that I actually agree with that." Those are my words, but to say that it's the Democrats who have been doing it is just really too cute by that. So not surprisingly, in an effort to claim that the other side's rhetoric somehow caused these events, Vance left out a pretty, pretty, pretty crucial point, which is that no current or former president in history has done more to encourage violence than Donald J. Trump. That is just the facts. He endorsed assaulting reporters using police officers to knock suspects' heads against the sides of the squad car. When Lee fantasizing about Second Amendment people, preventing the appointment of liberal judges and also said the same thing regarding Hillary Clinton, now, what is Second Amendment people? What does that mean? That's people with guns. Telling supporters of a man who had been ejected from one of his events, "I'd like to punch him in the face. Knock that crap out of him," he told a crowd in Cedar Rapids, "If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock that crap out of him, would you? Seriously okay? Just knock the hell. I promise you, I will pay the legal fees, I promise." Reportedly asking why the government couldn't just shoot individuals protesting the killing of George Floyd. Whipping supporters into a frenzy with months of lies concerning the 2020 election, which led to a violent attack on the Capitol, left numerous people dead, but she refused to do anything about for hours, and then tried to justify that violence by saying these are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously and viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly and unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love and peace, remember this day forever. Defending supporters' decision to chant "Hang Mike Pence," and then there's some context around this whole bloodbath thing, but if he's saying folks should be precise with their language, then Donald Trump should be precise with his language, and everyone should be precise with what, what the actual truth is. Language of a fascist leader says, "Morning Joe, let's hear what their evidence is." DLR border and bring back the travel ban, you remember the famous travel ban, we didn't take people from certain areas of the world because I didn't want to have people ripping down and burning our shopping centers and killing people, but we're not taking them from infested countries. Infested countries, infested countries, let's see now, let's see now, what are we supposed to do? Are we supposed to say, "I will infested countries." That sounds like a Gerald Ford, now a Gerald Ford that used to say that. And Roosevelt now, I mean, yeah, this is just straight up, "I mean, is that not the language of fascist leaders?" Again, I'm just asking, historically, you have that sort of language and infested countries talking about verm and talking about all the things that he's talked about. He and his running mate have completely, as you say, in your new column, they have doubled down on ethno-nationalism and not the sort of ethno-nationalism that's ever been prevalent and at least not in our lifetimes in the United States. Talk about this blood and soil campaign and where it has its origins. Hm, blood and soil campaign and where it has its origins. Now, I'm not saying that. That is Joe Scarborough, by the way, is the Republican, was the Republican Congressman from Florida, very conservative, he realizes what's going on. More of a discussion for Morning Joe and then we'll talk about it. Here it is. Morning Joe reclaiming a language from the 1930s Germany. CLR border and bring back the travel ban. Remember the famous travel ban? We didn't take people from certain areas of the world because I didn't want to have people ripping down and burning our shopping centers and killing people, but we're not taking them from invested countries. Infested countries. Joining the conversation, MSNBC political analyst and publisher of the newsletter The Inc. available on Substack, our good friend Anand Girdartis. It's good to see you this morning. What do you hear in those comments? We've heard him make similar comments about vermin coming from other countries. We've heard him talk about S-hole countries, the Haitian immigrants who are in Springfield, Ohio, for example, about 15,000 of them are here legally under temporary protected status. What do you hear in those comments from Donald Trump? I hear a wannabe Nazi without the organizational skills. I hear someone who is literally reclaiming language from the 1930s and 1940s in Germany, vermin infestation. This is the language of someone who is not just trying to win an election, although they are trying to do that. This is the language of someone who is trying to build a pretext for what he might do in office. He talked about, you know, deporting millions and millions of people on a scale that would require, you know, 24/7 train cars and buses, camps to use another mid-20th century word. But also I think, and the example of the Haitian community in Springfield illustrates this, someone who is using a modern media environment to spread information, put out lies, that will then possibly inspire other people, private actors, to do things in their own name with deniability for Donald Trump. And kind of, you know, activating his stand up and stand back and stand by kind of paramilitary friends to do a matter of things. We get it, we get it. So for, to say that, okay, this is, you know, these are Democrats that are doing that his own language. Now, look, he said the other day, the other day, it is Democrats were doing it. In his response, he called the vice president, a communist or a Marxist or something like that, as he was saying that someone needs to tone down the rhetoric. This is something that he retweeted on truth, social, just the other day, when he's talking about toning down the rhetoric, good versus evil is what he put up on truth, social. Now look at the good on the good side, right? This is evil, so he said, do you got to stop calling me, is that Kamal Harris? Who is it? It doesn't look like it. You got to stop calling me a threat to democracy, but I can call you evil. I'm just saying you got to stop calling me a threat to democracy, but I could say that you're evil. Okay, and then I can also, not him, but MAGA conservatives, spread lies with no evidence as they have been doing about Springfield, Ohio, right? And about wanting, they claim that Democrats have been talking about this forever, want illegals to vote, this is a Republican, now watch this, getting caught in a lie, no evidence talking about getting illegals to vote. Where's your evidence? I don't have any. Watch. All the three Democrats vote against a provision yesterday that you have to prove that you're a citizen before you vote, and isn't that a bizarre vote to take? But that is sadly where the Democrat party is right now. They can't wait a few years until some of these new immigrants become citizens, or until they have children, they become citizens. The Democrat party is so radical right now, that they want these people voting immediately. And if they don't want them to vote, fine, just have them show their citizens. What's the evidence that it's happening? Where have you seen that? Well, I haven't seen it, but we know it's happening, right? We know, I haven't seen it, but we know it's happening. Where's your evidence that people are eating cats and dogs? Well, there is no evidence. Just people have said it. They talked to law enforcement? No, or do they talk to law enforcement? Yes. And they found out it was incredible, but they said it. You know, I saw the Loch Ness Monster on my boat the other day. No, I'm serious, I saw it. It's true because I saw it. It was a Loch Ness Monster. It was in the harbor, which is, you know, in the deepest, probably about 16 feet of water, but I saw it was a Loch Ness Monster, I'm telling you, I saw it. Did you get a picture? No, but I saw it, it's real. Represented for us talking about Tim Waltz. More rhetoric, watch. This committee functions as an extension of the Trump campaign. That's when after President Biden, with a nonsense impeachment hearing, then we went after his son. Now we're going after the vice president because she's the nominee. And my question is, Mr. Chairman, are we going after Tim Waltz next week? Because I hear from my staff that you're planning a hearing on Governor Tim Waltz, even though he's been governor for five years, and his name hasn't been uttered in this room or in this committee until something happened recently. Oh yes, he became the vice presidential nominee, is he next? His son's going to jail. Oh, okay. Okay. I'm talking about Governor Tim Waltz. Oh, oh, okay. Are we doing a hearing on him next week? I'll have to check you out on him now. Okay. We'll see what happens next week. Someone whose name has not been uttered in this committee, but now that he's the Democratic vice presidential nominee, we're going to do a hearing on him. A complete, late in use of his special resources for a political campaign is what this committee has been, and anyone who's taking part in that should be ashamed of themselves. Okay. So they want to have a hearing on Governor Tim Waltz, why? So they can sell him and they want to talk about rhetoric. That's what they want to do. Bring him in front of the committee for what? They haven't never, his name has never come up. So what do they want to do? Get him in front of the committee. So perhaps they can sell him, or perhaps they can do something similar to him as what Representative John Kennedy did to the Arab leader the other day. Guys, come on, don't fall for the yokey-doke, okay? And then there's blaming Jews if he wins the election. Remember they criticized Joe Biden, oh, you can't go for me. You ain't black. Basically what he's saying, if I lose this damn election, it's because of you, the Jews. If you don't vote for me, you ain't Jewish, that's basically what he's saying. Watch this. Rhetoric. Rhetoric. Put it to you very simply, plea. I really haven't been treated right, but you haven't been treated right because you're putting yourself in great danger, and the United States hasn't been treated right. So if I don't win this election, and I've been very good, you know, they say Trump's been right about everything. I've been right about a lot of things. Even Ted will admit that. I've been right about a lot of things, a lot of things that a lot of people said, no, that won't happen, but a lot of bad things happened and some good things I've been right about too. And I only want to be. So I'm not going to call this as a prediction, but in my opinion, the Jewish people would have a lot to do with a loss if I'm at 40 percent, if I'm at 40 percent, that means 60 percent of voting for Kamala, who in particular is a bad Democrat. The Democrats are bad, very bad. They'll never change because they have a section of their party now, which has become amazingly and quickly, very powerful, vote-wise. I mean, Chuck Schumer is a Palestinian. Who would have thought that was going to happen? What the hell happened to him? I saw him the other day. He was dressed in one of their robes, you know. That'll be next. Take down the rack. Chuck Schumer is a Palestinian. I saw him in one of the robes that Democrats are bad. I'm just saying it's got to have receipts and it's just been really ticking me off when people take words out of context. Okay. Rhetoric, rhetoric, rhetoric and actions, right? Now remember the former president, sadly, awfully, there was an assassination attempt with a gun, right, bullet or shrapnel, whatever it is, in the ear, regardless, the man could have died. That should not have happened. And then there was the attempt at an attempt at assassination, this, I think it was Sunday, past Sunday, all guns, right? Guns. Now, everything I've been playing had been, you know, government representatives, mostly Donald Trump, JD Vance, and then some of the Republican representatives. This is a very powerful person. You know, you see what Oprah is doing, Oprah at a talk show, right, didn't Roseanne have a talk show as well, I believe, because she had a very powerful sitcom. This is dangerous rhetoric and dangerous actions. That someone who has a lot of sway holds a lot of sway in society is exhibiting in this next clip. Watch. Oh, everybody. Because this is really cool. Look, I show everybody who comes to my house, but I'm going to show you. It's a gun and it's signed by President Trump right here. That's Donald Trump. And it's a really cool gun. And look at it. What do you call it, Jake, where it's etched in there, Donald Trump's face at all. Laser printed. Laser printed. And it says never surrender. Take America back and ain't that cool. It cost me a pretty penny, but it's on the mug of shot. Oh, yeah. That's the mug shot. There you go. And you know, presidential seal there. And I'm in Texas and this means a lot to me. That's where I've been a ton of dough on it, but I thought you might all enjoy seeing that. And that is true of Trump 2024. And we are never going to surrender. We're never going to be weak. We're going to go the extra mile do what we have to do and with God's help, we're going to win. And it's all on you. Thank you so much for hearing me and having me here today and God bless you all. Yeah. Okay. Someone said she's holding a laser printed pew pew. What the hell? Okay. So listen, here's the thing is because this whole idea about guns, right? Gun safety, which we should be talking about. We should be talking about laws that would have prevented those two people who attempted an assassination on the president would not have had access because they have issues. We have issues with laser printing, people laser printing guns because then they're not registered, you're basically making your own guns. There's a whole lot in that clip of irresponsibility. Someone said in the chat, what sway does Roseanne Rosanne is a lot of sway over conservatives. Don't get it twisted. Just because you are not a fan of Roseanne, you're a lot of people who listen to her. You don't even see, I didn't even say bar. So you get my point, I just said Roseanne and everybody knew who I was talking to. And people in the chat are not saying Roseanne Barr, who's that? They're saying Roseanne is going to try to kill and now, okay, take that back. I just read that. I shouldn't have read that comment. But I was just reading because someone said Roseanne, let me just use that name. Okay. Now here's what I have a lot of other things that I want to put up, but I'm just going to do this because it points out the hypocrisy even in the supporters. Now Donald Trump has said, take the rhetoric down, JD Vance has to take the rhetoric down. It's the Democrats. It's the Democrats. It's the Democrats. Now I want to see what Donald Trump supporters, what the MAGA folks are saying, because our friends over at the Good Liars really did something interesting, something similar to what I would do is that, okay, if you want to take the rhetoric down, let's see the evidence. So would you like to carry this sign that says, take the evidence down that is a visual depiction, an actual physical depiction of you supporting taking the rhetoric down? Or do you want to hold something that actually ratchets the rhetoric up? Now let's see. Now this is them. I don't know, you know, what they did to it. I would hope that they didn't enhance it, right, or that they didn't push people in a certain direction. I don't think that they would do that. But here's, this is, I call this an unscientific survey of what MAGA supporters want. Take the rhetoric down or ratchet it up. Here it is. Signs here at the Trump rally, everyone's talking about toning down the rhetoric. We also have some other ones like I Hate Taylor Swift, some other things Donald Trump has said. We're going to see which ones are more popular with Trump supporters here. Hey guys, we're giving out free signs. We've got tone down the rhetoric and then we've got lock up Kamala. You want a lock up Kamala or could you want to tone down the rhetoric sign? No. You want a lock up Kamala? A lock up Kamala, yeah, yeah. Okay. Not the tone down the rhetoric. Tone down the rhetoric is one of them and then we've got their eating cats and dogs which is the unfounded claim that Trump was saying. What that, that one? The cat, cats and you want their eating cats and dogs? Yeah. There hasn't been any proof of that yet, but he's did say it at the debate. Tone down the rhetoric. That's the one, that's the one. It's a hard sell. Yeah. Why is it hard? I turn up the rhetoric. We have, I hate Taylor Swift. That's good. That's the one you want? I hate that one. Here you go. I think it's 50 dogs. But you, you don't want to tone down the rhetoric? We thought the tone down the rhetoric was going to be the popular one, but people wanted their eating cats and dogs, which is like kind of like crazy rhetoric. Do you want to tone down the rhetoric one? No. You don't want, you don't want to tone down the rhetoric one. Okay. Here you go. All right. I don't know. I think we might have given away the last Taylor Swift one. So sorry. Oh yeah. Would you rather just tone down the rhetoric? Okay. You don't want to tone down the rhetoric? Okay. I want to lock up Kamala and a tone down. Really? Yeah. You want, you want to lock up Kamala and tone down the rhetoric sign? Yes. Okay. So tone down the rhetoric. Okay. But then what were you saying about Kamala? She's committed treason against our country. Okay. There you have it. And there you have it. Do I need to say anything else? Do I need to say anything else? Okay. Let's move on. There's nothing that needs to be said right there. I don't think people are stupid. I don't mean you in the chat, but they do. I think people are stupid. We have to. That's why it gets so mad sometimes when people are, you know, when with the false equivalency, right? With the false equivalency like, oh, wait, you have to just because one side said this, the other side, let's play something from the other side. Sometimes it's just not equal. You have to say this is ridiculous. You have to as a member of the media of the press, stand up and say, this is ridiculous. This is no one, there has not been a candidate in history that at least modern history since I've been alive, that has conducted themselves, who has, excuse me, proper English, no candidate has conducted them himself or herself in the manner for president. I mean, in the manner that Donald Trump has, none who started off in the beginning with hateful hate inciting violence, inciting rhetoric. And it's not just continuing on till today. Even his response to that attempt at an attempted assassination. Even his response to that was insightful, was hateful, was violent, the language. Speaking of in the MAGA ilk, Mark Robinson is a highly controversial far right Republican nominee for governor North Carolina. CNN reported, he called himself, quote, "the black Nazi." Well they got a hold of some of his information from a pornographic website that he said that he supported slavery, that he said he was a black Nazi, that he was, you know, all these things where he's calling Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., names belittling him, bring back slavery. I would have owned slaves if I could own one now, I would buy one. This guy, that guy. He expressed support for all of this on a pornographic websites message board, on a pornographic websites message board. Now, what was I on? I was on a show not long ago, and I talked to someone about race play and pornography. They were discussing it, and they were like, "Wait, what?" And I said, "That's a thing." Like people have sort of racial fantasies, and it was on a, I don't know if it was a podcast, a streaming show, a panel or something, and they were like, "Wait, what?" And I said, "Yeah, that's like a thing now." People do role play, and then they're the furries and whatever, but there's also a race play. I'm so I wonder if it was that kind of website, I don't know. So there's more. Despite a recent history in anti-transgender rhetoric, CNN is reporting that Robinson said that he enjoyed watching transgender pornography, okay, to each his own, you're an adult, you consent, you go, you can do whatever you want, we're not, I'm not shaming anybody's kink. That's your thing, you can do it. But what I'm saying, you guys get it, Hamilton, good grief, the hypocrisy and stupidity. I'm talking about the hypocrisy. Now if he said, "I support trans rights," whatever, and then someone went on a website and he's like, you know, there's, he likes trans porn, okay? That's not hypocritical, but he's fighting against trans rights, but he's getting off on the trans porn, I told y'all, those who speak the loudest, those who are the most adamant against it are the ones who are doing it or suppressing it. According to CNN, he enjoyed watching transgender pornography, a review of the archived messages found in which he also referred to himself as, quote, as a quote, "perve," okay. All F in Ways says, "D. Miancrussy, meow, thank you." It's true, right? It's always the ones that are the most twisted. I'm telling y'all it's the truth, I've been around for a long time, I know it is the truth. I give this one example all the time, because all of those people who are so homophobic and they're talking about, though gay and I know homo, grinder is poppin' during Republican events, sometimes so much, again, knocked offline. Those phones are like, "Woo, on fire," and it's usually the people with the wives and the kids at home speaking out against the gays, but getting it on the side. The comments was Robinson denies making predate his entry into politics and his current stint as North Carolina's lieutenant governor. They were made under a username that CNN was able to identify as Robinson's by matching a litany of biographical details and shared email address between the two. Many of Robinson's comments were gratuitously sexual and lewd in nature. So gratuitously sexual and lewd in nature, that CNN is not even posting or revealing all of them because it's just too much. Don, you are dropping. I'm dropping today. I am, Isaac. Because I know. I told you this story, I'm going to tell you this story, all right? Let me tell it again. When I went to the Republican convention in Cleveland back in '16, I stayed in my room. I'm just saying, I stayed in my room. Don, spill it, spill it. I stayed in my room because I know what's happening. I know what's up. I know they're so repressed. I know that they see me on television, they get so wound up. John Lennon, and then they see me in person, "Hey, John Lennon, I don't agree with anything you say, but God, let me buy you a drink." Next thing you know. I was telling you, I'll text you, let's get together, man. And you're like, "mill the night you're asleep, you wake up. What's up? What are you doing? Want to hang?" I'm like, "Wait, what the?" I'm telling you all, "I'm not lying." "Hey, man. If you don't believe me, when Tim is in these chats, you ask him today. He may be back. He's not here today. Tim's working, right? He hangs out in the chats and whatever. Ask him. We will go to someplace, a wedding, or whatever." It's like, "All these straight dudes, the Republican, I hear you're a man, you're Trump. Can I get a selfie?" "Yeah, sure." Then it's like they're all talking to me, like, "Yeah, whatever. Hey, let me buy you a drink." I'm like, "Okay." And Tim's like, "What is going on? I'm telling you all." It's weird. It's weird. When I go, I stay in my room, the night when Donald Trump was inaugurated, if you don't believe me, know Bakari Sellers, if you know Bakari Sellers and you are in his DMs or if you know him personally, ask him, he said, "Hey, let's go to the Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C." This is an inauguration night in 2017. And I said, "Ah, Bakari, come. Are you kidding me? I don't want to do that." And he said, "Come on, man. I just want somebody. I need somebody to go. Be my wingman." I'm like, "Okay." He said, "Why?" I said, "Well." He said, "They're not going to attack you." I said, "No, I'm not worried about them attacking me, not for that reason. I'm worried because they're going to be all over me. And I don't want to have a fight with somebody's wife because some dude is trying to get with me." And he's like, "What? Hey, guys. Hey, hey, guys. Want everybody to be gay?" I'm like, "Okay, Bakari, let's go." We went. We were there for 20 minutes, 30 minutes. Bakari looks over at me and he sees all the people surrounding me and all the people are talking to me and rubbing up on me. And he's like, "Damn." He gave me the eye like, like, "Oh, wow." If I'm lying, I'm dying. I swear I'm a mama. It is the God's honest truth. It's always the ones who are the most adamant against it thou doth protest too much. This stuff comes from 2008-2012 on a nude Africa website, a pornographic website that includes a message board. The comments were made under the username, "Many Soldier," a moniker Robinson used frequently online, sending this reporting only a small portion, as I said, of Robinson's comments on the website, given their graphic nature. They reached out to the campaign. On Tuesday for comments, it took the campaign two days to respond and issue a denial. And then before there was this hostage video, before they released it yesterday, here's Robinson in the hostage video trying to get out in front of it, and here it is. Hey, guys, Lieutenant Governor Robinson and your Republican nominee for Governor as well, of course. Well, guys, the news media has added again. My opponent is added again. You all have seen the half-truths and outright lies of Josh Stein on these ads over and over again. And now a story leaked by him to CNN is appearing now. Let me reassure you, the things that you will see in that story, those are not the words of Mark Robinson. You know my words, you know my character, and you know that I have been completely transparent in this race and before. Folks, this race right now, our opponents are desperate to shift the focus here from the substantive issues and focus on what you are concerned with to salacious tabloid trash. We cannot allow that to happen. And folks, we've seen this type of stuff in the past as well. Clarence Thomas famously once said, "He was the victim of a high-tech lynching." Well, it looks like Mark Robinson is, too, by a man who refuses to stand on stage and debate me about the real issues that face you. Instead, they want to focus on salacious tabloid lies. We're not going to let them do that. We are staying in this race. We are in to win it. And we know that with your help, we will. God bless you, and we will see you wear on the campaign trail. Okay, so far, I don't think unless you've got producers, I don't think he's dropped out. But it has been said, it has been reported that he can't get anywhere near the former president for a campaign thing, for anything because, I mean, it's almost like a restraining order. I'm sure do not get near him. But before, when he wasn't allowed, you know, when this didn't happen, they pretended they, well, they didn't know about this part, I'm sure. I'm sure they don't know what he's doing on websites. But they certainly knew about this part. His rhetoric is public. He's been doing it forever. They knew about this. Watch. Two genders and not but men and women. He says God calls on mentally, not women. Called to be led by men when it was time to face down the life, said David, not DeVita, David. There's no reason anybody anywhere in America could be telling it in time about ten gender We could pass a bill saying you can't have an abortion in North Carolina for any reason. He says the civil rights movement in the 1960s was, quote, cry. And that Martin Luther King was a communist. Robinson posted the movie Black Panther was, quote, created by an agnostic Jew to pull the shackles out of your sports to pockets, using the Yiddish words for money and black. He referred to the victims of the Parkland school shooting as spoiled little bastards. He says the moon landing in 1969 may have been fake. He also says there is a secret ruling cabal that is part reptile and said that Beyonce is satanic. Uh oh, he done messed with the beehive, I didn't catch that part yesterday. You know, you don't mess with the beehive because they will come for you, Mark Robinson. Now that's how you really messed up that porn service, that may not get you in trouble, but the beehive, they're gonna be on your ass. Thank you very much, Bridget, for your generous support. I'm Don Lemon. Look at what Bridget said, I'm Don Lemon, bitch. That's like, I'm Rick James, bitch. Thank you very much for Bridget, I appreciate it, that's great. This man is crazy. Guys, I love what you're saying in the thing, Nana says, I believe you. I'm just telling y'all, I'm not lying, why would I have to lie about this? I've heard you tell this story, but it's still hilarious, says Camilla Savage. Women go through this daily, oh, Elsa's casual observer. Yes, they're going to try to have some lemonade, L.O.L. Thank you Don for proving it to Bacari, says Keoni 77. Don had a time today, says illustrious mean, I believe you Don, there's a poll up, by the way, what is the craziest part of Robinson's story? Is it admitting that numerous affairs, is it, I'm a black Nazi transgender porn, wishing he could be, she could join the KKK. Okay, that's our poll, take it, I don't doubt this, this winky Campbell. Sometimes you just got to be there, says Eleanor, I, yes, sometimes Don, you spill in a ham that says a Jack, damn Don, you spill in it. In the closet for real, Sidney Lockett, yes, it's repression, they're in the closet. Let's repress all of those things and don't get me started about what happened after the pandemic and people were locked in their houses. Thank goodness as in a relationship because people got to the end of the internets and boy, did they lose their minds. They were trapped in the house, the end, all they could do was just let their mind ramble and roam, come on. This is the guy Donald Trump loves, so yeah, Donald Trump loves this dude. This dude is larger than life, he's Donald Trump's hero, he's, Donald Trump is a bigger fan of his than Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oh, you think I'm lying? Okay. Nikki, roll it. Play it. Unbelievable Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson. This is Martin Luther King on steroids, okay, now. I told that, I told that, I told that to Mark, I said, I think you're better than Martin Luther King. I think you are Martin Luther King times two. He's doing good, he's got his own race job, he's fantastic. Thanks also to one of the great stars of the party, one of the great stars in politics, Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson. One of the strongest and bravest new voices in the Republican party has been a great supporter of mine and I'm a great supporter of his, your incredible Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson. And his wife, Mrs. Robinson, what a job you're doing, he's the hottest guy in politics. They're a very popular guy, Mark, and somebody that really took this country by storm, not just the state, but took the country by storm, Mark Robinson, he's out there, he's fighting, he's fighting, he's a great one, thanks Mark, good luck Mark, he'll win, he's got a win, he's got a win, he's a good man. I mean, what do you say, that's, yeah, Lincoln Project has a tweet, MLK on steroids. Lincoln Project, they go hard over there, that's what he said, he's MLK times two, I wish they would bring slavery back, I would certainly buy a few, Mark Robinson, then there is Donald Trump, it says this guy is Martin Luther King on steroids, Donald Trump, there is no lie from the Lincoln Project, thank you for that Lincoln Project. Explaining the story on CBS this morning and what this means, before you play that, Nikki, what does this mean for North Carolina is the question, because North Carolina is in play now, and if that just notches some wins in Kamala Harris's, Vice President Kamala Harris's column, if she gets North Carolina, right, that up Cianti, that pushes her towards the victory, if you get North Carolina. So what does it mean for North Carolina now that all of this has come out that, you know, and Donald Trump, because Dr. King, this guy's great, blah, blah, blah, he said all this stuff, now he's on the porn site, there's a race issue here, when it comes to racism, the civil rights movement, the, you know, the historic civil rights movement, Dr. King's place in history, Donald Trump is saying this guy is better than Dr. King, I like him, he's done more, all of those things, and then there's that whole idea about, you know, being moral and righteous and, you know, family values and all of that, what does this do for the Republicans in North Carolina, the folks on that ticket and the person who's at the top and that's Donald Trump, CBS this morning, reporting. Hi, he's a former communications director for the Republican National Committee, he's also from the great state of North Carolina, good morning, good to see you. I usually like talking about my home state, not this morning. Okay, well, we're going to put you on the journey for a little bit, because I want to get your reaction to this report and Robinson's decision to stay in the race, were you surprised by this revelation? Okay, we heard there were shocking a few times in the lead up to this, shocking, yes, surprised, absolutely not, and we knew for weeks that something new was coming right around the deadline of when the candidate could be replaced, but we've also known for months and even years, this is a problem candidate, there's a whole lot there, maybe we didn't know all the particulars, we certainly learned some new language and unfortunately some images yesterday, but all of this was not just predictable, it was predicted. I wrote for CNN in March, this guy is a disaster, Republicans you shouldn't do this, and the irony here is, for months I've been hearing from Republicans in the state, Trump supporters, that they were nervous that Mark Robinson could have an impact, a negative one, up a ballot, obviously Donald Trump endorses candidate, so he made this candidate, he made some of his own problems here, it's a very real concern, and I'll tell you, no one's smart enough to know if this is going to hurt Trump up ballot, but that concern is real, and while I was on my way up here last night, I got a text message from somebody down ballot who's running statewide who said, "I think I'm toast." Wow, so you just broke down that this could have an impact, but there you go, it could have an impact on the election, and that is the point, and the thing is how are Republicans going to, now there are some who I hear, I haven't seen a lot of them, who are backing away, I don't know if there's anyone, guys if you see any evidence of anyone who's like outright outwardly denounced him, but let's put up some of the pictures, and these are just the folks, remember Madison Cawthorne, he got booted, he was a congressman, and he got booted for, I don't know if we're doing crazy things anyway, I wasn't reelected, I don't remember. Okay, so that's him with Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, and then there is Ron DeSantis also pictured with, there was a fan of Mark Robinson as well, right, so there's a photo of him up there, and there are also other, I'll leave that up, please, because Republicans are scrambling to scrub their social media, and scrub themselves anything, any signs proof of a relationship, or having even been anywhere near Mark Robinson. So they're scrambling deleting tweets, or deleting Instagram posts, and they're just trying to scrub it, they're like, "Oh, God," now, the weird thing is, if they do come out, let's just say they come out, let's just say that the Trump folks come out, right, and they're like, "Oh, this is horrible, but let's just say that happens." So the racism, the homophobia, the transphobia, the bigotry, all of this, so that was okay, but it was his kink that was too far, yes, you guys understand what I'm saying? That was okay, all of the hatred, that's okay. All of the denigrating Dr. King, that was okay. All of the, you know, just racist stuff that he had said before, and because it had been out there, that was okay, but it was the kink stuff that got you, that's the problem. Doesn't that say a lot about who you are as a person and as a party? Doesn't it? Doesn't it, doesn't it, doesn't it? So they're trying to scrub all of this stuff, right, so the Madison Cawthorn, the Santas, or whatever, I wish I could have found more things, Dr. King on steroids. I do, I also love the Lincoln Project because they go hard. There's another tweet, let's see, there's another tweet from the Lincoln Project. Can we see what that one is? Which one is that? Oh, I didn't mean to that one. So this one, I'm not, it's not disparaging against him, but they said, start the clock. Do you guys remember Liz Truss, right, it was a prime minister, and they wanted to know what would last longer, Liz Truss, or a head of cabbage, and it turns out she didn't last long. Yeah, you guys remember, casual observer, you remember that, right? Because it turns out, a head of cabbage lasted longer than Liz Truss. So basically they're saying, how much longer, this is brilliant actually, Lincoln Project, how much longer is he going to last? Will he outlast a head of cabbage? It may be different here in the United States. He may outlast it because I just think that MAGA doesn't care. Also he's black, right? So they're like, he's black man, let him say it. He's a member of the party to let him say it did that, right? So is that? Well, he talked about Dr. King, he can get away with it because he's black. I know how y'all operate. Okay. So let's see, that's what's going to be coming out today. I think that's going to be coming out. If, can you just play this, I don't know if you have it, of Donald Trump speaking to Jewish students. Do you have that one, Nikki? It's Jewish students at a university. If you have that one, play it. Because I wanted to tell you guys, I really do believe. I will inform every educational institution in our land that if they permit violence, harassment, or threats against Jewish students, the schools will be eligible for violations of the civil rights law, at the same time, my administration will move swiftly to restore safety for Jewish students and Jewish people on American streets. Jews have been beaten on their way to synagogue in Los Angeles, just recently beaten on their way. American businesses have been vandalized, yet once again the Harris-Biden administration has done absolutely nothing about it, doesn't even come in. Okay. We're in Washington radical. Oh, there you go. So I'm just to make a point. And then there's also, let's show Penn State now, please. Okay, so the reason I'm playing that is because what I've been trying to tell you guys, and I'm telling you, usually I'm right, right? I told you about the black men and the vote for Trump and even some women. So I think there's a hidden woman vote. I think there's a hidden black vote for Trump. And I know that there is a hidden college vote for Trump, mark my words. And I don't think that these people again are picked up in polling is what I say when I say there's a hidden vote. They don't have house phones, they have cell phones, you got to figure it out, right? They're not part of focus groups for the most part. And that is the reason why he's going after, he saw the New York Times, he's going after the, I forget what they call it, the bros something, something broverse or something like that. So he's going after college students, Jewish college students, sort of the bro dudes, you know, the Rogan sort of types and, you know, all of those, you know, the Matt Walsh types and all of those folks, he's going after those, that group. And you know, appearing on the Lex Friedman podcast and then the Theo Vaughn podcast and all of that. And that is that that's a big group of kids of young folks, excuse me, I don't want to disparage of young folks. That's who the vice president should be speaking to. That's who she should be getting out there and getting in front of to get her message across. The last thing I want to play for you is Donald Trump, you remember he had the whole thing with the toilets and you don't like the echo toilets because you got to flush so much and then the echo shower because he did barely a trickle comes out. And now he said windmills, Democrats hate, now Democrats apparently hate windows. Here it is. It's a great environmentalist, which is actually true, but a lot of people don't know that. But I'm an environmentalist with common sense. I like buildings to have windows, you know, they'd like to close up all windows. The building should be built 90 stores tall, but that doesn't matter, but can't have any windows. No, it doesn't have windows jails. Maybe that's why he's saying God that he wants windows. Democrats don't like windows because why they want people to go to jail and not windows. I'm just saying that was shady on my part. I know that was shady, but it's true. Anyway, make sure you hit the thumbs up on the way out. You guys are caught up. That's all I have to say. You guys are caught up. Go get the book. Oh, no, we're not caught up. I'm so sorry. One more thing. Don't go anywhere. Yes, prison. I said it. I said it. Clank, clank. Okay. Clank it. Clank. Okay. So I should have started by telling you. You remember Regis and Kathleen Lee used to do that all the time. Hi, Reg. And they'd have the paper and they'd show what they did. So about last night, so last night, I don't even have it down. I showed it last night, but I thought I got a random invitation. Okay. Come to this party. It's for Apple or whatever. Just drop by and got your name on a list and you know, buy out Tim Cook. Okay. So I go to the party and guess who I run into. I ran into some of these ladies. Go ahead and show. Let's see. Who's first? Who's up first on this list? There they are. There's Miss Joy Behar, by the way, who's my neighbor out in Long Island. Miss Joy Behar. I hadn't seen her in a while though. And Sonny, I walked into the room and they were like, Hey, what are you doing here? What are you doing here? And then who's next? Flip through it. And then I'm talking. I'm talking to Sonny. I'm talking to that. And guess who walks up? Whoopi. Whoopi said, and Joy, wait a minute. Why don't we have a copy of your book? When are you coming on the show? So we'll see what happens. Then there was the big guy who Donald Trump calls Tim Apple. It's actually Tim Cook. So there's see Sonny behind me. Sonny had never met Tim Cook and she's like, Oh, Tim Cook, whatever. And I said, I know him. You want to go introduce her to Tim Cook? And I said, Hey, Tim, can I get a picture? How you doing? He looks great. He said, I've been working out a lot. He probably, I shouldn't have shown it with a glass. He's a glass. He's an adult. Anyways. So that was a fun party. The cast of SNL were there. Some of the new house, one of the new housewives was there. I saw Andy Cohen outside. I saw some other actors. There were a bunch of people that I can't even remember, but it was a really, really fun party. I was surprised because I was going to drop in for a second. And then I left and I rode my city bike home and I came to join the Kamala Harrison Oprah Winfrey call. And that was my night. So there you go. And so the ladies of the view, they want the book, I gifted Whoopi a book because she wants audio version. I handed Sonny already has a book. She bought it. And then I handed Joy Behar the last copy I had in my bag that I would to hold around the city. And so they're reading it. Now I want to hear what they have to say. They're the dudes right behind me working on my building. So you guys are all caught up. Thank you. Hit the thumbs up. Go and order the book. Go to your bookstore, order it online wherever you get your books. And I'm going to see you at five o'clock. We went a long time today because I was having such a great time and you know it was weird. I said, who am I going to channel today? And I channeled Wendy Williams. I channeled Wendy. And that's why I just went so long here. This is it. It's not a purple chair. It's a white chair. I can show you right it's a white chair. So in my white chair, we went long because I was channeling Wendy Williams. All right. Have a great day. I'll see you at five o'clock. Thanks for joining. Bye. [BLANK_AUDIO]
