The big talk points, the big talk points that I've thought of. Some that Chris has thought of and of course, ones that maybe people in the chat have thought of as well. So welcome to everybody watching. Welcome to our members that are in the chat. And then we get gone and we get in and we get out and we'll enjoy some more of our Monday night before it's finished. Chris, how are you at the weekend football? >> I'm good, Saturday was good, Sunday not so good. But the women drew again, they really should have been winning which was quite frustrating. But, you know, you stayed in, it was quite good and you stayed in the new layout. But look, Saturday was good, the men went in, we'd also won. So, you know, two or three ain't bad. >> Meatloaf said it, meatloaf said it was good. >> Exactly. >> Super digital is strong in here and he's like, Oh, the Los Angeles Angeles, the Arsenal antics, and Paul Giovanni says, Chris, keep growing, that's Selik Tachio. He's liking the Tom Selik, look, nice, Rodriguez injury, super digital is on a roll here. And can we start to kill this narrative, the trend can't defend? It's one on one spirit, I've been exceptional this season, says Brian. We'll talk about, we won't, we'll go into that as well, right? Don't remind me later, Brian. I'll tell you what, Brian, I'll just put a little mark on this and I'll make sure I get to it before the end. Let's start at the Eddie Hat, man CE2, Arsenal 2, you know, CEO barely on through Holland. Arsenal equalize through Califiori, and they go ahead through Gabrielle. The handle trust out of my opinion is an absolute empty head. But there's, there's mitigating circumstances there, which I'll get on to in a minute. And Arsenal then decided that, look, why don't we just try to use all of our seven center halves in this game? And hold it 'til the 97th minute until the run done by a shark on Jon Stone's equalizes. Holland throws the ball off Gabrielle's head, has a rare one after the game. And then we move on. Did you see what the young fell at? The young lad trying to come over and stare, yeah, it was all out. I don't know who the fuck you are. Yeah, it's all happening, right? But let's take the one by one. The first thing I suppose in the game is Roger's injury, you know. That's a big talk. You knew that was a bad talk. It's a big talk in point of the weekend, not only for the game itself, in that context, but the season, you know, I think you see in C.E. There yesterday that we're badly missing the broiler. And I think the broiler's influence is kind of on the way at Mansey. But he's still, even though I don't know if he has the rolling pair he was to have, but he still gives the spark. He still has the vision. You know, a bit like when you go back to Gerard for Liverpool around 2000, 13, 14, 15, where he didn't have, he didn't have everything in his army that he used to have, but he had the vision. He's just a brilliant footballer that you could get into with him. You drive those balls that fall into De Bruyne at the end of the box. And then Diaz, then Diaz would play in the tent. It was mad as a bit of Mansey. But, you know, I think you see in a city, so they were clearly missing that they don't stare great as your phone, which is a bit mad. And then Roger is there. And after 20 minutes, he's gone. And there's a rumor circulating around that he can't for the season. It's an ACL. You know, other people are saying, no, he was walking around. He was hobbling after he's bum, bum, bum. But that if I was walking, I was walking around a way. Yeah, I don't walk around his as well. Yeah. You can walk around with some ACL. It's, I think it's the turning motion to what it does give up. Yeah, who, but how big is this? If he's over a considerable period of time, how big is this on city season? And in torn possibly Liverpool and Iceland's when it comes down to the toilet racks. I hear that makes the title race afoot for calling them. I think he's that, that decisive. It's the equivalent to when we lost Van Dyke, the enough to win the league. And I just think he's that key, both from a, because he doesn't sit as a normal sick as a traditional sick people think he goes, you know, he gets around, he's a brilliant interceptor, but he's a big game player. You know, how many times would the one that trouble was he got the winning goal or assist? He just has that in him, you know, he's, he's just what you need in the crunch moments. You know, that's why I've ever won sort of a rotary. It's the latest thing now is that can you find the next rotary, which, to be honest, is probably near or impossible. You know, as good as Declan Rice has been for Arsenal, he's a couple of levels below the rotary, not no disrespect to Declan Rice, but just, yeah, but, and for me, comparing any of those players deep to rotary is a bit of a mismatch at the moment. Because like Sean, a couple of the lads on the show said last night, Sean, he, and I think he's about saying, look, and Emmett, if France were saying, look, he's, he should be willing to battle on door. In their opinion, he's probably the best football in the world for the last two seasons. But that's a big game. He's that good. He walks into any side. And that realm would go to the side, which has come a thing, too many, Bellingham, he walks into it. Yeah. That's how good he is. Yeah. And that's when you know he's elite, is in like, you name a side, any side could sign him they would. Yeah. They'd sign him in a heartbeat. If he said that, he couldn't have one side. If they said to us, you couldn't have one signing this summer, but it's rotary. I've got to get a photo, don't care, don't care what else we did, that'll do me. He's, he probably, is this, forget, forget, you know, on the continent for the minute. He probably gets into any Premier League, so I'll determine being. Yeah. Take it off. I think he's very good on that. You know, just for what he is, just like, he's physical. He's not, he's not slow. He's good in the air. He's good on the ball. He's a good dancer. He gets up and down the pitch. He scores goals. He's like, when we, when we think of likes of, like Roy Kane and Viera and this and, and Jared, you know, we think of all action, blah, blah, blah, you know, in certain areas where Roger just quietly goes about his business for the most of the game. I think he's a massive, massive loss. His biggest weakness when he came into the league was, it wasn't very good of anything behind him. He really grew off the back of him and that was always, he'd kill his heel he had, which was, he grew off the back of him. That's all you need to do. Within six months, he, six months of a year, he'd box that. Yeah. Like, it's gets to the point where when he, he's not playing, you go off city and shots because he's something mad like this, isn't it, like over a, over a year. We're not losing the game when I'm started. Yeah. And every time he doesn't play these, they don't, they don't win. You know, it's, it's just madness and that's a really good city side and he's still, he's still like going. He's still so big. And a soul, so big. Megan says, the toilet race is wide open now, city will need to wrap the highland up and cotton wool. Um, I actually think I said the last, on last night show, I think imagine how old out there yesterday. I think it's the biggest result in 20 years. And I include FA Cup wins and I include whatever, like it's the biggest result, both in terms of the three points and the mentality shift and the momentum in 20 years. Because they would have went in and went, right, we've gone away to sports. We had, we had no hour to go out with no race. We won the game. We've gone away to see. Okay. We've, we've literally gone to one of, we've gone down the 10 men and we've held out. And what do you like the way he played and all the whole, the whole, they, they get the win and he takes six points for not running on the derby and the trip to Mansey. The sport, you know, from the start, having players out against sports and hybrid show again, they're losing the player and playing with 10. And I just think it was that big for Ashley yesterday. Um, you know, people that'll say, Oh, see you this and see that seat, you'll still be there there to be able to see it towards you in the season. There's so much quality that I've talked to to send an off and, and, and, you know, the name Zuba Mendi's popping up now with, if, um, if Roger is open to season and to be honest with you, people are laughing at that. I don't laugh. I don't, I think that's a real part of it. I think it's a real, real possibility. The only thing that's stopping it for me is where our city after this, this whole hearing stuff. Yeah. Because if see, come out with this unscathed a little bit and Roger, the soil, he wants to actually go back to Spain and play. Zuba Mendi is the perfect player to go in there. That's a good, he possibly is and people are laughing, but if it's a player, but he would work at a city side. Yes. Of course it was. Um, you know, I think you seem from see, yes, the lack of a center forward backup option, um, kill them a little bit, um, you know, as well as you just had three players around Holland and went to look with back ourselves on that. But the sending off in the game, uh, Leandro Chaucer goes up for a header, plows into it. I think it might be in Bernardo Silva ball drops down. Everyone knows it's a free kick and he just lumps the fucking thing up the pitch. You can tell by direction, he knows the whistle's gone because he doesn't leather it as ours as you can. It's a half arsed attempt, but I've no sympathy and this arsenal metric of it's ruined the game. So it's west common sense, you know, it's a big game you can't really guess at this. It's a game of football, ultimately the rules of the rules are there, everyone knows. But also, what I found really stupid is you got done by the rice one and you like, so you know, it's like, right, this is the latest thing in the shit off home. Do you ever like when money got done for a high foot and then you haven't got to. I'm pouring jerseys in boxes when that would, that would not be a few years ago. You'll go through things or certain things that really are going to clap out down. If I've won red car for it, so you just say it's for lads, right, listen, don't kick it away because everyone's got to shout for it with a don't for it once and we'll get done for it again. We'll get done for it again. He's completely lost his head and, you know, I'm trying to spin it wherever they want seats. Yeah, Super Dizzle there says, uh, and some fans have claimed he was trying to play the ball through the mountain alley. You know, by his body language, he's not does me getting circumstances here, Chris, and it also, it comes down to again, for me, the ineptitude of the referee is on show and the PGMOL as a whole, because as other instance, we're going to talk about it a bit. If you watch the Royce incident, right, the ball is stopped in the area that is gone to free kick is going to be taken from. And I can't remember a Brighton defender's name. What the heck was it? Was a beltman. Right. Oh, yeah. Beltman. He's in the vicinity. He's going to play the ball. He's clever. He's clever. Beltman. He probably isn't really trying to play. He's just, he's just, I could probably get a bit of a free kick here. Yeah. I could get something. Yeah. But you see, when you're looking around from a referee's point of view, the ball has stopped. It's in the vicinity. The Brighton player is in the vicinity and looking to go on play. Like if Royce doesn't touch that ball and just steps across, then as he goes to kick it, he gets the yellow card. The fact that he touches the ball is not even part of it. It becomes part of it. But the truth is stopping the restart of a game doesn't mean you have to interfere with the football. You have to interfere with the start of the game. No matter how you do it. Do you know what I mean? So they get done for that Royce one. They get done for this year, one yesterday. I don't think it's correct. I think he's, I think he's so fucking stupid. You're not happy that the fact that you've got a free against you, it is a free. Just fucking say I have a fuck saying get behind the ball and get in a half time. Has he 10 seconds wrong? Yeah, it's so stupid. But I can understand a little bit where Arsenal fans are coming from because, and I do, well, when I say that I can and I can't, docu yesterday can see, somebody can see the free command seat yesterday, right? Docker kicks it back. Docker kicks it. It doesn't really, it doesn't delay the take of a free kick because the referee says to him, the referee says to him, no, it's back there. That's the point. Ali, Docker over hits it, deliberately. Yeah. But the thing is, there's no Arsenal player looking to take the restart and docu kicks it back. It does kick it a bit forward. I think if docu's doing that, I think if docu's doing that, the complaint says he's kicked it away and you see the referee, but no, I said get it back there. Yeah. So it's all I say into Arsenal. You could say that's not the point that's going to be played from anyway. Yeah, I get that. Yeah. And then, then you had the one with Sabo's Law against Forest where he gets given a free kick against them, they're going to get a copy on the brakes and he lashes the ball across the box and he turned around and he's like, well, and it's a free, right? And people are like, look, he kicked it away again. He's not stopping the restart of the game. There's no Forest player near there, right? Yeah. And the free kick is not from where he is. It's dropped. He's 15 yards away from where the free is going to be taken anyway, but I do understand it because I do understand to a point because referees either have to come down on these people and say when that ball drops on the ball, the whistle, if you beat it away from where it is, where it sits or where it's meant to sit for a free kick, I'm booking you. And I have this rhetoric that, you know, this and this and this and to a point you have, you know, to a certain extent, you have a point, but again, it comes back to the referees, Chris, they're making a rod for their own fucking back. I think the Royce was correct. I think this. I think the I think the trust everyone was correct. If you look at Joe, Joe Pedro for a Brighton in the same game, the bar goes over the soil line and he lashes it down the pitch and the ball is clearly our play and he lashes the team 50 yards. Now, just book him and say to him, I don't care about the restart. I don't care about the restart. You have moved up all away from where it's meant to be. I don't care about players around it or is there some player in the city. You actually have delayed it because we have to wait for that ball to come all the way back here. Well, because it started it in five seconds, we've known to wait 10 or 15. Do you get it? I get what you mean. But I asked the fans because they're also about, you know, Oliver and all this sort of stuff. Technically, he did them a favor for the opening goal because he calls both players over. I said to say, calm it down and Walker's still going back into position and he says, let's take the free kick quickly. Now, to me, Walker's very soft and inexperienced because we've all played amateur sport, run back to position, then you rest. He's got caught out a little bit there, but he could argue by letter of law. He should have brought it back going, no, hang on. He took that too quick. But they're not mentioning that because that one goes for him. You know, I think there's too much of this, the World Against Us routine. My thing of Arsenal is, we're in September and it already feels like siege mentality, the world's against those, you know, every game's a must-win, we can't drop a point. It's too early in the season to start getting into this sort of area. Were we a bit like that, though? Were we a bit like that in 2008? I don't think it was. I don't think it was the world's against us. Every game felt an ice wedge, but it wasn't like every decision goes against you. Everything was a little... I think you got like that more on Christmas time onwards, because that's when it really matters. To me, the two on Edge, the two panic already, you know, because it dropped. The Etihad's fine. Do you know what I mean? You were close to getting the win. I mean, personally, I would be having a little look at the manager and his tactics, which will come on to in a minute, because I just felt the way he played. I felt it was inevitable as bad a city where they would score because they got no respite ever in the game. And I think the winning goal is, I think the players are mentally tired, and they think it's over, and they switched off for the last 30 seconds, because they're mentally knackered because, you know, to defend like that for 55 minutes, we're pretty much no attack to the other way. Yeah. You know, eventually you're going to switch off at some point, because no one can concentrate for that long. Yeah. And if you think he took the wrong player off, I was amazed to tuck Zacharoff. You see, my thing was, and I know I'm not going to be tactical now, and maybe you shouldn't but my thing on that was, if you're going to sit back, right, leave two players on the pitch that are really fucking fast and can get your free kicks and have an eye for a pass and can finish. And those two, I might have to nearly unsack it. Yeah. Right. Have it. Oh, you may be argue, you have it, but sack it as the one. Did you see the habit stop? You know, you met. Yeah, I seen it. Yeah. He never completed one pass in 90 minutes, which is quite special. Yeah. How'd you go 90 days and not get one pass in? Yeah. So basically playing with that. You basically play with an even less, because what I'm saying, like, one of those, you have Royce. They have parity. They've a shitload of centerbacks. Right. Well, they should have said, listen, we're going in here. We're a man down. We can't invite literally nine players on towards the player and nine in the edge of the player box. Saka, please go and stand up front, Martin Ellie, please go and stand up. One is going stand up front, right? And one is stand behind and after that, we've, you know, seven players and we're going to have literally far at the back tree in front of that, I'm one ahead, I'm one ahead, I'm one upfront, make see, you think, because there's a Ricky in them. You know what I mean? In, in, in, in Walker, and that was, if it was the usual front we played apart from last weekend, Jotterwood just come off and when it just said Diaz and Sal are stand up front. Yeah. Because you're both rapid. You're both dribblers. Or if we may have let a new NES in a salary, and it's just said to a new NES, be in nuisance because it's, because it's this philanthropy. It's just being nuisance. You just run all day, you know, because that, just give yourself an output. Even if it's like, well, let's see, it's the, all we have to do for the rest of the game. It just run things to the corner. Run channels. And then it's a five minute break for you to mentally reset, you know. But they navigate, they never, the absolutely never gave them itself. No. It tells a chance. Yes. I do think that's the problem. I think Arte, it is too focused on how not to lose. And I, I think he's a lot of little bit on the wrong end of this. Well, I think to win big, you've got to be willing to lose big. Yeah. And you've got to go for it and sometimes you fall on the right side of it. And that's it. But if you don't take any risks at all, that's fine. Listen, that way of playing, we'll get you far in cup competitions because, you know, defences will. Yeah. But the team, the team for Arsenal is like, I just don't, I just think that way of trying to win a lead downs goal. It's not, but it's not going to define their season. Like we used to go to a city and go, if we don't draw, if we lose here, the season's over and it never really came down to that. It was always one or two results away from the, the, you know, the city and the Liverpool games, big games, you'll probably get two draws in the season. One team might win a home and draw away, whatever it might be, but you never, we never got to the end of the season and that defeat at sea is the one that done us it was never that. It was all. It was. After last year, they got the four points of city last year. Yeah. And it was always like, oh, we'll draw a home to Leicester, or there was a game away here. Yeah. Yeah. It never defines the season. Right. It always comes down to Liverpool might take far off city, city might take far off Liverpool. They never really took six, right? And it was a case of, right, listen, you have that little advantage here, but it's up to us not to be really fucking brilliant and most times they were, but it was results away from that. And I think about it tomorrow and tomorrow yesterday and attacked them a little bit more. I think tomorrow in the game for us. I'll not be funny like, all you should have thought of to do is get it and this is very park football. What do you have? When is the corner? Because you saw city was scared to death of Arsenal's corners. Yeah. I mean, you know, Gabriel should have had two, he misses an absolute sitter for his scores. You know, so the new other routine was, the new, how they could hurt city. So you can just play for that, play for a corner. I know that does lead you over to a counter, but that's the risk you take, but city would have been chit scared. I mean, flipping away city, it was refreshing to see a side that struck to break down 10 men because this is rhetoric that in the Liverpool fan, there's only Liverpool car breakdown 10 and they struggle with it. I mean, the bit I found wild was Foden didn't come on sooner, but I was amazed he just didn't take off two centre backs, put on stones and greenish earlier. Because what I think greenish will do is he's great at winning free kicks. Yeah. Well, yeah, like you're loathing. Yeah. He knows that's winning free kicks. Let's get your space and stones is better on the ball. Yeah. And the team with the team with greenish is if you put him out on that left and he stays worried, maybe you're OK with city being worried, but he has the quality where he can come inside. He can come inside if you give enough room and he will pick out a cross or he's been running the fair car. Do you know what I mean? A little bit like silver on the other side, but he just persisted constantly until very late in the game. And I was like, what is this fella doing? And he was at times like that fella Savino must have a pain in his bollocks, right? Running down the wing and passing them back to the D for the center half to take a fork and shot. That's all I'm doing. That's what I mean. That's where Arsenal, because the talk about Arsenal did defend well, but honestly, if we were playing it, sit in and every shot more than to Diaz or to Guardiola or Kovacs, I'd be like, if I'm seeing your chances going, well, let's see, it's an absolute worldly. I found two chances were he thought for the edge of the box to fold in a greenish, you know, you would worry. Also, it made those heads keep docco on, because Arsenal were always going to sit massively deep, which nullified. You're not getting in behind. He's all about facing the balance. Yeah, you need to know how technical players that twist and torn a little bit and make angles. Yeah. And they then players are definitely Bernardo Silva and folding and greenish. Do you know what I mean? If you're going to have three behind, you know, if you're going to have a 10, two women and a holland and then other people to just pick up the pieces in coverage or whatever else, it was just it was a mad, mad setup. And, you know, I agree with you, Arsenal continuously looks all emotional over fucking everything. And I do think like, I think of Arsenal went out there yesterday and said, you know what, we're pulling believe in themselves that you actually believe as good as this. Just put that belief in you. And you might lose two one, you might lose one nil, you might draw, you might win, but pull it across in front of everybody that we believe we're as good as you. So what we're going to do is we're going to play four, two, three, one, we're going to leave our two lads high on the, on high and wide, we're going to leave our striker up top. We're going to let a fellow midfield feel break on you and we're going to back our defenders and back our deep learning figures and partying and Royce to do their jobs. But he didn't. He just fell into a shell and said, we're just staying here. You know the sort of way. And I'm not proven anything. And look, people will say, live a pool of Ganta and yet he had the last here and he've lost it. Yet he have. But the thing is, Gradi all that always knew coming out again, fuck me. These are not afraid of us. They're not afraid of what we are. They're not afraid of the all around us. They are going to push us. Gradi all is walking away from that yesterday and he's got to draw. But I think he's, I think he's thinking, I don't know if they have, I don't know if they have it. It's in that. It's an awful lot. My mind is he played six in the back and three midfields. You went back five against Brighton at home when you were two, one up and you couldn't hold out. And to us, Brighton, they were poor with the ball, but I'm a bit like if it's not, if you can't keep Brighton out playing that tactic, I don't know why you thought they'll keep a city else. Yeah, I just, I just, it was more inept to shoot for a city than Arsenal's like, you know, and as somebody's pointed out on another podcast, I think it was actually a wrap saying, it's not a good thing that the biggest players player this season for Arsenal, it's been the goalkeeper. Because if the goalkeeper is getting praised that much, that means he's too busy. Bit like those who want me to praise, Alison, who's brilliant, when you think back of it, probably the one, Alison, to be brilliant, that means he's busy. That means you're not defending very well. Yeah. Look, I don't have a problem with Arsenal and what they do when they go down to 10 men. Because let's be honest, if you open yourself up against C.E, Liverpool, Arsenal, and you're down to 10 men, you're in serious fucking butter. We know this. Do you know what I mean? But what I do, what I, if I'm an Arsenal, I'd love to ask Arsenal fans, why did you not see, and you're two one up, don't get me wrong, you're two and up, you've scored two goals, one's a really good guy on California, and you've got a cent, and you've got a centre back, getting a header at the back. You're two and up, your game plan has gone really well, right? But at the same time, you know, if they stay 11 and the game continues like that, right, and it ends up three to the Arsenal, people are going, what a win for Arsenal, 100%, 100%. So, it's just, they give up, as soon as it went against, it was like everybody fucking retreat. Like, if you remember Liverpool against sports, Liverpool got down to 10 men, and Liverpool bought sports with 10 men. Also, we tried to win it, we're dying. Yeah. And then we went down to nine, and we were like, we just keep playing, we get done by an on-go near the end. But there was nobody coming out that pitch going, "I'll Liverpool weren't up for that, Liverpool looked this, Liverpool went to Troy to win, and maybe sometimes it's a bit, yeah being naive, trying to win." But I just think Arsenal came out, and it was always, it wasn't there going to be a chest stand-up to hit and play the game. It was going to be torn up, see what we can get, hopefully get a set piece and see where we go from there. We weren't expecting them to do what Pasta Cobbly did against Chelsea, which is a two inside, I'm going to go for it, high lines and all that sort of nonsense. We're not asking that yet. Still play deep, I just think, worst-case scenario is, you'll lump it down the line to a Martinelli or a Sacker to run onto it. It's at least been considered to turn round, and it's given you a five minute break to get back up the pitch and go, breathe that high line. Because he said that as we're literally sitting, 20-20 as Arsenal's goal, and they were just back in the pace of maybe a kanji and a walker just to get back in if they needed to. You don't, I don't look, I know Arsenal fans probably watch this and go, "What are you talking with, that's ridiculous?" All I'm saying is, is that, I think Arsenal really went there and played a more tier one up, right? Really went there and played a more tier one up, and went down to ten men, and don't want to be done in the second half, and got a draw. People would go, "Well, you know what? You were breathing in the fourth half. They're a bit unlucky with the second yellow. They had to coin the sitting with the personnel they had. They got a fucking drawer over, they're all unlucky." And some people are saying they're up, "Well, when I come away from that game yesterday, I just can't help think it was a huge, huge, huge mama for Arsenal, and I think they'd come over probably feeling better in themselves, I'm putting a doubt in, city's mind, Liverpool's mind, wherever it has oil and that toilet, where the other teams are looking gone. Yeah, but as soon as they went against them, they just retreated and decided they can't win this football game. Or even like, they had to watch a couple of other players, you never came off the bed with George Union. Yeah. I was surprised they didn't come up, just because if you're going to play city and you've got to just defend, which, you know, Georgina can do, but when you do get the ball, it's good at keeping it, it's good at winning frees. So, you know, again, you could have had Rice Party, Georgina was a three, and just tell have it sit in front and you have a soccer on the break, but at least that gives you people who could hold onto the ball, you know, just to, for a couple of minutes, just to bang a few passes out, just to take a little bit of pressure for yourself, because I've had to be at a 12-step possession of the ridiculous, I don't listen to you, but this is not the city of three, four years ago, you know, this is the city, there are holes in it, if you need to, if you can, if you brave enough. I just, I look, I thought they got what they deserved, to be honest. Yeah. I think in the call of the day, you know, I asked a lot of, is it two points, I see two points? Two points. Yeah. Two points, I see. You won't point off us? Mm-hmm. Yeah. And, you know, do you feel all right? It's about to a second after last week. Yeah. Yeah. They feel all right in themselves. I just think the, again, I just think the impression they give out there yesterday is what's kind of common today. People go on, do they have it? And rather than just, I think, actually, my example's favourite for the title, that's my opinion. And for the simple reason, I think that they've built something over so many years, they know what they're at. And again. And again. He's quite good at that as well, and that's the annoying thing. He's still got really good things like that. We'd have to wait and see what happens with Roger. Can I talk to you about the, uh, this for Cario incident, uh, sports, the, who are sports play? Brentford. Oh, yeah, balls are done. Brentford. I saw the highlights. Yeah. So Brentford had this team ready to go away. And then the only interest in the scoring game. Great goal. Great goal. Did they want to see the, uh, the week before? But this one, I can't believe this when I see this. And then I was like, hold on, he's handled the twice. He's also the box fucking literally pam on the ball around the place. I know it's his record. Again. Pulled out outside the box. I don't know. As a keeper. As a keeper, a handball outside the box. I think it has to lead to a direct opposition goal scoring opportunity or something. It's a dog. I think it's what it's fucking called. And when it drops, there's a couple of sports players behind them. But my argument is that is a gold scoring opportunity, if you have, like the guy behind it isn't like, you know, last man back, oh, you can handle it now. This is a guy standing that can't use his arms. You know what I mean? To defend. And you have a fucking gold issue. The biggest thing out of all this is, and it's again, I think it's stupid of these. Oh, the VAR can't get involved. Now, if a bar goes in the box and it hits a guy on the arm and the referee doesn't see it, right? And it drops out, can the VAR, if that, if that referee, if that goes in and it hits a guy in the arm and the referee says, no, can VAR say, um, that actually, we're gonna call you open that because we need to walk. Can they do that? I take the can. Yeah. If it comes straight off your arm into a goal, then it's, at least there it is, the gold score of hand balls. Well, let's say, let's say, let's say, let's say, let's say check it as a potential red card because I would assume if a key comes out like that, I have balls that like, kept the yesterday, try to have ball it against Diaz and he doesn't. Yeah. I could, if you have balls, it's like two ball players being there. I think he goes. I think he's. Does VAR look at it, my argument here is does VAR look right and go, he's handled it, but it's not an obvious gold score and opportunity, which means it wouldn't be a red, it would be a yellow and weak hand in the fair and yellows is that how this is gone? Yeah. They, they can't look at yellow card incidents. So they've, they've probably have looked at it. And they've probably said to themselves, it's not a red card incident. So even though the referee is missed it, we can do that. It's in his ear. Look, it, it has caught his hand, but we don't think, but there's too many, there's too many lights back. It's not a red card. Okay. Whether they release the audio for that conversation though, isn't it? Well, I'm sure, however, we'll be telemogonal on that. Well, how it's very, very short, it's very selective of which one, which ones he picks at me. Yeah. Yeah. But again, I, I just think of it. If, like, how did he don't see it? Oh, it's mental. Like he literally handles it here, his body goes past him and he does it again. So if, if you're a referee, basically anywhere around them, you have an opportunity to see this. You have a loinsman that if he's on loin with the glass man, is literally looking straight in at it. And they just go, no, no, oh, you see, my chapels brought a good one off. You see the own back red card? Yes. So I can see why I know why he gets sent off because it, because the lad goes rolling boot to again, the fella tries to eat it. It wasn't like a little bite. It was, it was like swarmed and damaged. Was this Preston against black? Yeah, I know it's a dark, it's a dark, it's a bit of a derby, yeah, but I'll have a line who doesn't see it. But what I love is what I found bizarre is that he's going to the lines and I said, he's beating me. Look, he's beating me. And they're both like looking away or no. Yeah. Um, I believe the effort and looking at that incident now, I don't think, I don't think Oh, I'm back. He's going to get the red card rescinded for what he's doing. The guy that he does, he volleys the guy, like, he just fucking volleys him. If you really get a red, like, it's a good way of getting a red. Yeah. But the guy that comes in behind him is like fucking, it's, if anyone hasn't seen it. Oh, it's, it's trying to chill. I'm scared actually. It's quite scary. It's not like he means in and tries to blame me. He's literally trying to chill on him. It's fucking mad. Um, it's. That's the bodys thing of the weekend that one. Yeah. So I wanted to keep an eye on that for the Liverpool related bits of it, but yeah, it's an absolute marvel. Um, what do we want to talk about? What else? Um, oh, yeah. The sound of Martinez. Oh, we're a small man syndrome. We're, we're Paul, who, who, um, someone brought her up this day, super, super doesn't brought this up. And then, um, Paul Giovanni says the Martinez stamp should have been a straight red all day. It's just been glossed over. Like, even like when you watch the pundits, this going, they're going like, yeah, it's a silly tackle. You're like, he jumps two footed. Yeah. And the only reason I don't think he gave a red is because it doesn't connect properly. Yeah. It's, it's an absolute shit house. He leaves the ground to see studs out in front of him. He leaves the ground and the next he touches on his way down. The next thing he touches on the way down is the ball. Yeah. Right. If that palace player doesn't milve or that ball just milves a tiny bit, he is literally snapping this guy enough. Yeah. That type of tackles is the mid 90s. It's something you'd see like a school friend tackle that it's something you'd see. I'm leading one of like a Nick Hancock video from years ago where like he's going around going, watch this and Vinny Jones is running around in the late jersey, smashing someone over. Like it's, it's, um, this is where I can say what people get annoyed with the, uh, just going to like, that's common sense. It's too, if he turns it off, I'm sure you know, if that's what I said, there's a conspiracy in it, but everyone's going to go, yeah, that's a, that's a bad one. But you see, you don't have, you don't have to connect. That's the funny thing. No, you don't. You don't have to connect. What has to be there? It has to be intent or reckless or endangering a player for me. I don't, I don't think this is an attempt to hold up intent to hold the player, but it's definitely reckless, it's out of control and for that reason, it's a, I think it's a red card, you know, did you look, I love that sky we're making out like that, that no, no, a palace was sort of defensive masterclass, like, can I, it's a palace away, it should be when I go through it. Oh, I couldn't believe they didn't win the game. Did they have, they have, they, they should be clear out of the way, but again, I go back to it. I'm not too sure they show enough when they have the ball. I don't, I don't, I think, I think you know, you would have been better served there yesterday after a certain point on, give palace the ball. Just give them the ball. And we try winning the 24 of you guys from around goal and see, can we get financial, see, can we get, I'm, I'm ahead of way, which is a lot of highland, you know, and I'm looking at that, I'm looking at that, you know, your team and the only thing that comes over for me is like, I don't even know what couple of you know, your fans are fighting me. We won't score enough goals, you know, regardless of what, what pretty stuff you might play with, what I'm playing, we won't, we won't score enough goals. I'm waiting on this is, they need, I think they need to turn around and say, Roy, highlands back and we're playing him up front. We're going to play Amade on that side. Is that Amadeal or is that his name? Yeah. Yeah. He's lively. Yeah. Paul him on the Roy, put your natural on the left, that's your front tree. And then what you do is, you say to yourself, I'm going to play Kobe Mane, look at it, and I'm going to play, I'm, I'm going to make them a tree, I'm going to, I'm going to persist with this because we're going to give a half a dozen games and whatever happens, we're going to keep going because I think the natural is a really good player. People don't like him. I think he's a really good player. I think Amade is lovely, he's quick, he makes good runs, he just, he occupies people. But when you look at that, you know the game, you're kind of gone, did he deal enough? And then Esse has two good chances near the end, doesn't he? Yeah. You know, it's, it's, it's absolutely, it was, it was a man for me. You're talking about that a bit, Phil. I think that's what Slott's doing, we've put it over, is I think he's decided, but Callister suffers like Graven Birch, that's the three he's going to commit to long term for the rest of his season. So I think he's just trying to get them as much games now, to get, of real understanding that. And then you'll start, and the next few days, I think you start seeing a Jones and an Endo get grip-feeded in just to rest legs. So then, but then when it's got, he's got the big games like the City, the Real Madrid, Statue of midfield three he's going to go for, but he wants us to have enough cohesion of playing together that it's like second nature, you know, you build that religion. Yeah. It's, it's a, it's a, it's a bit of a man, and every time I watch, you know, they just think when they have the ball, I'm just going, I don't know what are they on here. But I think I think they need to, they need to cut a dependency on Marcus Rachael, or Elder, Elder, so like, I even surprised them sold him two years ago. But the thing is, like, I'm not even, I say dependency and people think, well, what are these fucking depending on them far? Because he hasn't been this, that, you know, that's what I mean. I think, I think Marcus Rachael is at a stage in his, you know, career where to go. Oh, he might do something in this game and that'll lead on to this, and it just isn't happening. You can play it. He needs a fresh start. He needs. He's a man united. He needs a fresh start. I think he, I think he'll be brilliant at Arsenal. I actually did. Going back a couple of years ago, I did take them a Liverpool, because a Voibron soil that plays quick football can hit you on the break and, you know, play against low blocks, you know, movement, but Marcus Rachael, I think, is really good. But when you, when you stick him out on that left hand soil and you go, listen, Marcus, we're just going to pass the, the one player ahead of you to be terrible at crabs in the middle of the field and we get the ball back up. That full backs don't really fuck an attack very well. It's like he's standing there last, you know, and I still think he's a really good footballer, but because of his situation, I think they need to move away from and say to him, do you want to do one of those things? Do you want to say to him, Marcus, listen, right, you're going to play up front, right, which I don't think he's sealed with him, but you're going to play up front or you're going to be, or we're going to go with these other three lads on a consistent basis and that's how we're going to play. And that'll bring a bit of rhythm into that team, but it's another draw for them. I can't, I don't even know if they have this week, but I don't even look on Saturday and see if they have, but it's definitely a home game because the last two have been away. Anything else? Anything else? Oh, they're the Spurs, aren't they? Spurs at home? They're something. Ooh. That'd be okay. That'd be okay. You should perform quite well against sports. You wanted to talk to me about a red card from not on Forest that was legitimate for Forest that happened to break down over. What's the only on the pitch, Chris? They only go on the pitch, but Morgan gives why it got sent off and then both managers got sent off. It's cracked. Love me. I didn't see this. One of the two managers gets sent off. It's not long did the post match. They both sent the assists. Yeah. So, it's ending off from what you told them. His first yellow was, he just dragged a fella back. You know, it's an obvious yellow card, he just like rupee-tax them down to take one for the team. Yeah. He just jumps in and look, I've probably seen in the mid-90s, you had to go away with it. These days, you can't get away with that. He does get the man first, he gets a bit of the ball afterwards, but he does get the man first. I think where the confusion comes is the referee goes ball like that, he gets all the ball. But then he goes that to his ear and it's the fourth official. The fourth official says in his ear, he hasn't got the ball, he's took the man clean out. So he's took his official, he's stuck his assistance, notice. Paul, no, he didn't get the ball first, second yellow, red. When you see the replay, it's a yellow, it's a second yellow, it's not really a contract. I was going to ask you, was it the three in order for them? I think they think it's because they think the AR is giving it and it happens because it's the second yellow, the VAR can't get involved. That's what it's just saying, because we've been talking about it with a carry-on. The fourth official saw, when you see the angle, the fourth official saw it, it's right further. And I think New Know loses it, tries to go for people, and I think the Brighton manager tells them where to go, so they both get sent off, which is good fun, really, but yeah, it was, they're getting like, they're just as bad as I asked them, the world's against them. It's the most obvious, two yellow card jersey you've ever seen, so. Yeah. Look, you'll get a ball in there. Yeah, well, it always is, how do you expect the AR to come on? Almost a bit, though. I did think you can flag in the middle of the picture or something. Did you think, Amazon, we're going to lose it again? Our Soakiness. I did. I did. From the bits and pieces I'd seen on Saturday, every time we're quite good again, in periods, they go one and up. It's a bit scrappy then. But as soon as that's the score, Evan just decided, right, fuck that. And the AR gets back, they're not dropping another, you know, gone from three points to zero. They get that one point. The New Zelda data, this free green group, free green, free green group, the owner of Leon, isn't he? It was robust. What's wrong, sir? Yeah. He's, they were wrong. I think he was, he was Leon as well, but it looks like they're going to take over. And of course, you know, everyone thinks everything, everything, everything's advancing now, everything's okay now. We're all okay. That's 600 million that we owe. It's no longer there. Just talking out at the 200 million that the free green group gave them to be torn, will now be torn into, um, equity, equity, um, so that's what 77 seven should have been. If they took over, it was the same deal, but they're still going to pay them back. Yeah. But the thing is, they're coming in and freaking it right off that debt and let the club use the money that will go in that debt to actually put into the club, which is badly, badly needed. Like it's so badly needed. Someone taking over this club, I'll keep saying it, I've taken it over because of the asset that sits on Bromley, my, my, my, yeah, yeah, you know, the one I want to talk about that being knackered. Yeah. So, yeah, if they're, if they're sitting in good with no new stadium, um, they're all over the place. It's just a huge asset down there on that dock that I forgot the name of, um, Bromley No Dock, um, and it, and the guy is no, he's no idiot. He's going to go in there and he's going to say, right, the oil is much. It's probably down to 400 million now because, you know, he's going to run off his, but the oil 400 million, the cost that you have a colossal, the money they take in doesn't near enough cover, but he has the asset there and that's his insurance. And we see where it goes from there, but at the end of the day, I keep saying it, that man only has 30 days in January to affect everything squads to where they're going down on. And that's, that's what it's a lot. Yeah. So we, we'll see how it goes. They, they're a little bit safer financially after today, but the police are home. Yeah. Yeah. Palace of home is just a fucking massive game for them at the weekend. Uh, brilliant. This is the very start. Can we start to kill this narrative? The trend can't defend. There's one V ones have been exceptional this season. And Paul says, and just to follow on into it, and we'll finish up with this, start on the trends, comments like, you know, I'm going to be honest with you. I didn't read the trends, comments that have come out because I've seen, I've seen a tweet and it was like, Oh, look at this. And then somebody said, yeah, but if you read the full stuff, it's not as fucking, it's not as hyperbolic. I want to be a Liverpool player for this season. And I think it says in brackets, as a minimum, and then says he wants to win trophies and he'd love to be captain. So basically what we already knew, which is he'd like to say if the contract's right. And I think he's also quote, he's also quote with the saying, I've signed multiple deals with Liverpool over the last X amount of years. None of them are played out in public and this one won't be played out in public order. Um, so that's, that's his way of saying stop asking because I'm not going to tell you. Yeah. Yeah. And listen again, we're into September, we're closing in October and the worry levels of worry has to go up. It has to rise. It's as simple as that. You know, three players that haven't signed a deal in most lawyers and, you know, whatever would be, he would be able, you know, I think all that way we're going to need some sort of news on this fairly soon, hopefully, but under one on ones, um, did anybody watch Chloe Walker? Yes. Because the narrative is completely different between Chloe Walker and Trent Alexander. It's all the focus on what, how well Arsenal did, not on how shy he was because of it. Nah. It's defending for that second goal is disgraceful. Yeah. Disgrace. It's just, it's just, this is trying to grab Gabrielle's nipple for a couple of minutes and watch him run off him. Yeah. It's like. He runs and he looks and goes out there. He is running over there. And then my, my daughter, I, I'd have a go at my daughter for defending like that. She's 11. Yeah. And even she knows you stick close to them. Yeah. It'll make it difficult. Yeah. It'll make it difficult to make it very easy. Yeah. And I can't walk because it's not been a great, great fit for a while, because it's quick, gets away with it. Yeah. I think the changing was like tweak in formation has probably helped Trent as in, he's not having to invert as much, or he's not being asked to avert as much. So he's, he's, he's, he's more in a four-pack position. Yeah. He, he, he said that the manager gives him the information with regards to when we have a ball in this situation, when we don't have a ball, when I get it here, when I get it there. I think the decision on what I'm going to do, that decision could be, I stay right back and I play it into midfield. That decision could be on going in here now, but he is responsible for the consequence at the same point, you know, and I think he's being very open with that. Just a quick quote from Ashley, it's not Ashley's quote, it's Trent's quote, but Ashley's given it to us. Yeah. Ask if he wanted to stay at Liverpool. He added, I want to play a Liverpool player this season at a minimum is what I will say. That's it. Okay. I look, I've been at the club for 20 years now. I saw him far off of contract extensions and none of them are being played out on public. This one won't be either, he said. So that's all you really need to take it over. But the one on one's thing, defenders are always going to get beaten. Yeah. You, you, you'd have a knock on your pizza. I think what has been refreshing, which I think has been a criticism of Trent is if you look at like roughly, roughly how got pasted, quite help of the pitch, but he busted a gut to get back and he, and he got a second tackle in and got it cleared. You could have accused him at times, the last couple of seasons is once he gets beaten, he doesn't really get himself back to position quicker enough and kind of hopes his mate bells him out. He hasn't took a bit more of any of that, but look, one on one. I thought he did. He did well. He goes raff, raffly out. I thought, boom. I don't think he ever got pasted him. I think a bomb. I can't remember a game where he's got rinsed, you know, he had a bit of a ropey first half against it, which I'll be honest, who didn't. Yeah. And the only game he's been poor was forest, forest, but it wasn't defensively poor. It's just he couldn't pass a ball two yards, but to us, I don't think anyone could against forest. I think that's why anyone passed the ball properly. But if you look at the amount, if you look at all the road backs in the lake, or left backs in the lake, loads of them get beaten, loads of them get beaten, loads of them get fucking dribbled past, beaten in the air, passes in behind them, fellas coming inside them, loads of them get beaten on a regular basis in games, a regular basis in games, like, do you know what I mean? And it happens. It's literally like you are so fucking good with the biology fee. You're so good vision wise. You're so good at delivery. You're so good at assists. I think he's 81 assists and 19 goals for Liverpool as a real back, which is ridiculously slick. Right. And because he's so good at that, people turn around go, because you're so good at that, you should never be beaten by a left winger. And you turn around and you go, but the right winger off that club got beaten during the week. You're looking like we're up to the end of the pitch. That's allowed because he's not as good as you up to the end of the pitch. And what happens is, without, you know, sectioning these two things off as look how good a gun he is forward. And he's good defensively. It's like, that other fullback over there is shit going forward. He's doing exactly defensively as you, but you should be held to a higher standard of defending because you're so good up to the end of the pitch. It makes no sense. And there is times where I go trending a real position, the plane in behind you, or need in the center half to come over, but I think you're right. I think the tweaks have a left, his position, less exposed, or, yeah, loads of space in behind them, you know, and, and, and that's absolutely fine. But also the fact that he doesn't feel like he doesn't feel like he needs to go in there and do all that are right up there and do all that. The times he can sit back and go, I'll be here and there and there. And the responsibility to make the decision to make sure he's looking after his area is actually helping them. But it's, it's, it's, the only thing that helps him is, and I think this is sometimes, listen, not to criticize club, it's different kinds of different styles. But if he, if he was caused up field, you know, which is going to happen, if you're going to look forward that much, it was just expected cars to have to come over and it, you know, sort of stretch in that way, it does seem to be because of the way slot uses the feel slightly differently is if he loses the ball higher at the pitch, there is generally and the callus that a sub is like or a Grambridge, you don't play right back, but they filter over enough, slow the attack down. So he gets, so then he's back at right back. So that's how it, if you get Grambridge's Grambridge, print back in position then because then he's done, doing that. I think that bit feel flow works better, which endo couldn't really do it in the same manner because he's just not as mobile, you know, he is what he is. You know, he's very good at what he does, but he's not in that way. So I do think the slight tweak, because I did notice what's just quite a new difference for ball before the big field rotated a bit more in terms of, at times, so I was picking up at as a six and they were rotating that a little bit more, which I think maybe I think for ball, because of how they played because they pressed high. So I think it's to pull them apart a little bit. So it is interesting to watch and, you know, I think she's been really good. I think it's still quite a bit at times and no one breaks it up. I did. This might be a topic for another show, but I think he's struggling a bit in this system. I think he's has to talk in a bit more than he's used to. I think that's getting better. But again, it's five games into a new system, just sometimes he's bombing on and sometimes he's fucking very central, so I'm not saying like, you know, he can't play left back for Liverpool. He should take it out to it. Yeah. I think he's one of those that is taking time to adapt to. He definitely is. But again, that's another player that didn't have a pre-season, you know, got back for the fourth game this season. But he's learning on the job as well a bit like a bit like him, Darwin Nunes, and I'm one or two orders, but. I was pleased with him to get his goal. Yeah, absolutely. I don't think Darwin Nunes, which I don't think has been played up enough about him. There's an artist that he's brain dead and he, you know, he's just rosetronically the second goal, I think if you look for the third, especially the second goal, he's running off the ball, creates a space for Trent, because he's running, takes two defenders to follow him, which is a path and then sub-slide blocks someone, and it's a very well-worked team goal. But if he does what he used to do, which is stand in the middle, doesn't help him, doesn't help Liverpool at all. So I actually thought his movement off the ball in that game was much better. And again, that's him learning a new player. Yeah, he used to learn a lot of different style and play, and he's had no preseason, whereas, you know, salad and jotter, I'd be asked to a lesser extent. I've had that sort of benefit of learning on the clock slot a bit sooner. Yeah, I've got more minutes to do so, but look, it'll be a season-long discussion on Darwin Nunes. I'm one or two orders, I think, in fairness. I'm one of the ones who's seeing K as a player again. Yeah, well, we'll see that on Wednesday. Oh, I'd love to have that shot winning. His first touch was a shot. Oh, stop, yeah. I 100%. But we'll be back tomorrow night, when we come back tomorrow night, we will do a preview of West Ham, and anything else people want to talk about. But we will preview West Ham, who we think should play systems, we should play all the sorts of what way West Ham will approach. Have we changed the game? If it was a clock, I'd just say you'd make a full 11 changes because we knew that's what you definitely got. I'm not a scooby-doo at this, I was going to do. From the start in the 11, at the weekend, I think it's an animal of nine. Do you reckon? Yeah. Yeah. I've got to finish, got to play a couple of lads that people are going to be like fuck it out. No, what a way towards late on Saturday, haven't you? Yeah, half-five Saturday, so it's quite a big gap. Yeah, there is a big gap, but I think there's the perfect opportunity to look at certain players and go, "No, not today." And I think, whiner, whiner. A quote from the editor, "I don't know if he can do it, consistency is the key. He shouldn't get carried away, but he won't." And now it's the time for him to recover and focus on the next opportunity he gets. That's football. We will help him in coaching. We will help him, and the coach will help him, clubs and fans as well, regardless of their own units. Anyway, we will be back tomorrow night, 10pm, not nine. We're on nine o'clock for a certain reason tonight, but 10 o'clock tomorrow, we will preview Liverpool against West Ham and Anfield in the late cup on Wednesday night. On Wednesday night, we will have a match reaction, as soon as the game is over, originally penciled him for about 10pm as well, and then we'll try to do the members calling straight after that as well, where usually one person rings in and I'll have a chat with them for a half an hour. But if you feel like you want to, and you remember keeping on you for the post-match, post-match calling show, the late night call, I don't even know if we have a name for it, but it's basically after the post-match reaction. Chris, anything else before we go? No, after the whistle. Yeah, but Jews are dealing after the whistle, you know, the post-match. That's just sort of having a gargle, I don't know, so that's a Memphis challenge, think of the name for the show. Yeah, the members pick the name for the show, that's after the post-match show, and it's a call there. Yeah. So, take us over a reason, you know what I mean? Take us over a reason, and if it is, we'll give you the credit, and I'll, in the description, this show has been named by whoever, and you'll be there forever, you'll live in the hours of time. Right, that has been the talking cop for this month, you know, thanks to me and to Chris, thanks to everyone in the chat, like, subscribe, comment, become a member, do all that medicine, and yeah, we'll be back tomorrow, we'll be back Wednesday, we'll be here Thursday, we'll be here Friday, we'll be here Saturday, and we'll be here Sunday, and we'll fly in, we're the best boys, talk to you in a bit, all right now. Thank you. [BLANK_AUDIO]
