When Moshe went to Heaven to get the Torah, the angels complained that Torah wasn’t for human beings. Moshe refuted them and showed how Torah is for us. The angels showed great respect for Moshe and gave him “presents”. Even the angel of death gave Moshe a present by teaching that Kitores stops a plague.

After Torah was given, the Satan went looking for Torah. He went to earth the sea the depths, Gehonim etc. until he finally got to Moshe. Moshe seems to lie about receiving the Torah out of humility and HaShem actually rewards Moshe for that humility and says Torah will be called תורת משה.

When Moshe went to Heaven he found HaShem writing crowns for on the letters. HaShem told Moshe he should encourage Him, and Moshe davened for Hashems strength to be greater.

It says בושש משה regarding the golden calf. It can be understood as בשש- that moshe would come back on the 16th of tamuz, when in reality it meant in the sixth hour of the 17th he would come back. Satan showed the people a dead coffin of Moshe.

The name of Sinai is that the mountain brought hatred to the nations of the world (when they didn’t come for Torah). Otherwise, it’s called Chorev (brought destruction to the nations) “Tzin” bc the Jews were commanded there, “Kadesh” bc the Jews were sanctified there, “Paran” bc the Jews had children there.

The red wool of the goat on Yom Kippur turned white to show HaShem forgave the Jewish people. The word is שנים instead of שני to indicate that even if sins are like “years,” meaning total habit and regular like years passing, HaShem will still forgive us.

The pasuk with the wool says לכו נא ונוכחה- HaShem said that the Jews should accept rebuke form the Avos but the Jews refused and said we are only dependent on HaShem and we want rebuke from Him. It was at this point that HaShem promised atonement.

When the Jews sinned, HaShem told Avraham and Yaakov, who both said the Jews deserved punishment. However, Yitzchak stood up for the Jews by arguing that a persons life is 70 years. Subtract 20 before a person is punished, 25 of nights, 12.5 of eating drinking and bathroom, and sinning is only 12.5 years. Yitzchak then said to HaShem: “let’s split it.” And then he claimed that the Akeida should help.
