A man who goes with plain ring is doing biblical issue bc men didn’t usually wear rings, but a woman in plain ring is not issur from the Torah. In this regard, we treat men and women like two separate “populations” and we don’t say a תכשיט for one is automatically a תכשיט for all.

  8. Gemara had mentioned balsam oil so the gemara mentions that before the חורבן the navi chastises the people for being too into luxuries like balsam oil. The rabbis legislated post Churban not to use matters of pleasure and joy, but this didn’t include balsam oil which is just pleasure.
