Anyone who forces time, time pushes back on them. (Avshalom tried to prematurely take kingship from dovid and died). Anyone who is patient with time, time pays them back. We see this in story with rav Yosef and raba. Rav Yosef was ״Sinai” the one with more knowledge but Raba was “oker Harim,” the one with more analytical ability. It was determined that Sinai was greater but rav Yosef refused to be Rosh yeshivas and was patient bc his astrologers told him he had only 2 years of Rosh yehsivish b4 his death. Rabba was leader for 22 years and then rav Yosef was Rosh yehsiva for 2 and an xtra 1/2 year.

יענך ה ביום צרה we say אלקי יעקב. We assume the brunt of the responsibility is on yaakov to daven for us bc he is the one who actually made the Jewish People.

Someone who eats with Torah scholar is like they are with the Shechina.

Someone who takes leave of his friend says, לך לשלום- to peace, but one who takes leave of dead body says לך השלום- with peace.

It’s big merit to go to study hall immediately after davening. חיל אל חיל.
