This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call 0808 at 1717 700. Let's go! Celtic came five alive last night. Their first time winning their opening game in the Champions League. First time hitting five, and Brendan Rodgers absolutely delighted in a bit of humour with the media afterwards. Yeah, the competition stops now, we play Bayern Munich in the final. But it was a great night for everyone. I thought that you just sensed it before the game. The feeling and the crowds. And now it's so proud of the team. The intensity of which we played up with and without the ball was so good. And yeah, it was a great night. The handwriting bit special. We know this was maybe the weakest team, but my goodness. Celtic off-tough flyer. They were brilliant, absolutely brilliant. And from start to finish, it was outstanding. Actually, moments watching the game last night, I thought, is this really the Champions League? I'm watching a Scottish team perform. Energy levels outstanding. I thought the fans were incredible as well. One of those nights that everything aligns. And you need that when you play in the big stage, whether it's a European national competition, or it's the Champions League, for normal. I think every player probably hit nine's and 10's across the pitch. And Brendan Rodgers will be certainly a happy man today. Craig Murice here, Craig Five goals, five different scorers. Yeah, now look, it was a very, very impressive performance. And Leanne touches on there. Doesn't matter who you're playing against, you need to bring a level. And you go through the whole Celtic starting 11, everybody was at it. The atmosphere was electric, the early goal. And then the subs also coming on and making an impact. So it was a night where Celtic were far too strong for Bratislava. It was five. It certainly could have been more. And it's a perfect start for them in the group stages or the league. O8, O8, 17, 17, 700. The lines are buzzing, but you could be on any moment. Craig Murice here who's sampled top level football in Europe. And just two years ago, three years ago, you were in the Champions League, Leanne Creighton. So it came to Glasgow last night. Couldn't have been better for Celtic. So they're just behind Bayern Munich on goal difference. We know it's day one. Paddy was on the line now. It was at the game last night. Good evening, Paddy. Good evening, Paul. How are you doing? Yeah, good. Thank you from the Celtic Exchange podcast. So how are you feeling? What was your first reaction to the game last night? Yeah, well, lesson M, I think we spoke about on the podcast. We're feeling quite eager for this one. I think we've seen Celtic in the Champions League for the last three seasons. And it's always just been a case of nearly there, where I feel that the signings are summer. We felt pretty confident going into this. And a few people were saying, two, three, I went for a four, one myself last night with some of the guys. So just super happy to see everything come in and play. But we played excellent football last night and it's just a joy to watch. And you know what can happen? Two early chances made. He was on fire. And sometimes, if you don't take those chances, it's a different story. But in the 17th minute, what about angles? The way he took that corner kick, obviously finished off by Leam Scales. Yeah, I think other angles, what I liked about him last night, he was taking everything. He took all corners and he then took them all for the set pieces as well. So obviously, just showing a bit of class in that department. But just the composure of the young guy, you know, just on 21. And it just seems as if he's trying to fit in already, he's having an impact on this team. And he's still getting up to speed with the system that's still took place. So very early days for them. And I just can't wait to see him at full floor. I think it's going to be very exciting with our new angles. Half time, just at one knell. Did you have any worries, Paddy? I didn't. I think the crowd, yes, that they could see that there's a patience with a silted team pushing at a lot at the end of last season. But what I loved about the way we played, yes, of days, that they remained very calm. Yeah, there were some big chances from Kiyoguan, from Mayida, that they should have scored. But we've seen it before, where that's sometimes a soccer pence for silted. And they end up conceding later on because of that. But actually, like me, they seem pretty calm in possession. And I think they knew themselves the goals would come. Yeah, and they came for two minutes in, Koon did well, didn't they? And then Kiyoguan, who, what did you feel when he took it? It was not as much difficult chance ever, but it counts. Correct, yeah. And we've done a post-match podcast this morning, and we were actually talking, "Why are you not marking Kiyoguan?" His movement, and then around that, that six yard box is clinical. And yeah, it's said, not a clean finish, but he's in the right place at the right time. And just set up from wonderful play from Nicholas Kinder in the right hand side. I think we've seen that from him this season, Paul, he's raised his game, and then again, a player that I think is just going to get better and stronger as the season continues. Leanne, Paddy on the exchange, and Celtic fans loving to relive it again. At this point, did you think, though, they're going to cave in? Or what did you feel, then being Bratislava? Early on in the game? Yeah. At this point, so when Sele went too up, did you think second hand, they went up a second half? I mean, yeah, I think it's always hard to gauge in European football as well, because it times you feel comfortable that to an old school. It comes back to haunt you at times of the next goal, you don't get it. But Sele did just look to a different animal last night. I just thought all over the pitch, and Kiyog touched on that. The players coming off the bench as well, a real impact. Also, I think it points at that level of the game. Celtic probably experience, albeit Bratislava, not the best side, and probably a good side to start the competition against. You're still without the ball a little bit more than they would be domestically. I actually think it suits Celtic to a point, because in that, you know, defensive third for Bratislava, the energy levels it might either shows, a tatty the way they get after it. Couldn't as Paddy mentions, I thought, you know, midfield in terms of McGregor sets a tone of every single game, regardless of who he plays against for me. And I just thought the balance now we are on the angles coming in there as well. But also the aggressive nature of Cameron Carter-Vickers. He's playing inside the opposition half at times. That's how brave he is as a central defender. And you need that at points, because you can go and press all you want up top. If you turn around and you're sent a box or no behind you, you've got a problem. And I think he just gives the entire team confidence to go and do that. And again, collectively as a group, I struggled to see a bad performance within the Celtic set up for the particular match, getting off to the really good start. And that was already after missed opportunity from, as you say, Paul Mayard. They had a couple of chances. He's had a probably the easier one, the free header from six yards. The only concern that you would think that was there that Celtic would like to improve upon is that against better opposition, one nil at half time, that game could have been blown out of the water at half time. So those chances and again, it's something that maybe in the previous matches, previous campaigns, those moments. But it certainly wasn't the case this time, you know, Celtic. Even if Bratislava were to equalize, there was a feeling, Paul, there was a feeling, there was a there was a confidence of Celtic. We're going to run up a decent score here. Every single player was out at Leanne touched on it in terms of the way Brendan likes them to play. Your back line when you are dominating possession is 10, 15 yards inside the opponent's half. Such was a grip that Celtic had from every single position. But you have to start the game right and they managed to do that in both halves. And therefore got the right result. Paddy, two nil at this point and then up steps. He's got to be your new penalty taker, isn't he? Yeah, he has, he has, I think, again, greatly the ship from Carla McGregor and Saturday, when he gave the ball to Ann Engles. But it's a great start this career. And I think just again, going back to that point, he's 21 years of age, you know, the weight of that pace tag on your shoulders as well. And he just looks, he just looks super composed and a lovely penalty. And I think just can't more of a really really strong performance from him. That moment, who wants to take it when there was a slip up at the back and they scored? I mean, what a goal it was, Leanne and Kevin Vimmer. It was quite a strike. You want that one, Greg? Well, I mean, in terms of the, I mean, again, there was a little bit of a trying to play. And again, you're in the confidence is high, you're trying to play, you kind of get caught. But at the same time, you're not expecting Vimmer's from where he was outside of his left foot. I think it does take a little bit of a clip off of Carter Vickers's head and manages to find the top corner. But again, there was the chances for Bratislavo, a few far between. And Celtic looked likely every time that they went forward, Paul. And you even look at it, I think it was a final goal. The fifth goal was at James Forrest, an incredible pass through to Adamida. Again, Leanne touching on the impact from your substitutes. Celtic ticked all the boxes last night. Yep, made it getting the fourth, Leanne. He was arguably man of the match to the what rate? Yeah, the what rate. But the goal as well, I think, is brilliant. And the response to conceding the goal as much as everything, you know, was going to plan and you could feel the confidence levels, even watching it in the TV. You could see the way Celtic by playing how it looked. But then you can see that goal and at times you can maybe go, "Right, let's just sit back." And I think even new Leanne and commentary that I was listening to was saying, "Maybe just time put your foot in the ball, relax, manage the game." A bit of itself, you just were going at it again. And then you get that response and you regain the advantage that you had by going 4-1 in the stadium erupts again. So literally everything that they touched last night just seemed the time to go. It was a great line. I was watching it as well on the telly. And it was the three Japanese players. And I liked his line. I wrote the commentators saying they put them to the Japanese sword. I mean, Paddy, they were on fire at this point. They were. They were. And I think, yeah, I'm with you on that one pole. I actually think it doesn't mean it could have easily been man of the match to. I think Leanne made a good point in terms of the placement. He was absolutely rare, but not alone. And that placement sort of a very quick and getting possession back. And I've done this up to the 93rd minute of the game. But yeah, a great win cup play for that goal. At that age, just showing what he can bring to the table as well. I think he's been chomping at the back to really show what he can do. And that's high stage of European football when the ball through is just caps off. I really, really good back play from us. And a lovely finish. A really good finish from Mayu down as well when, yeah, he's what a player they watch. Undropable for us at the moment. And then James Forest coming on, he's five hundred and second appearance for Celtic. 104 games in Europe, it's phenomenal. And the way he delayed and played that pass through party for Adamida, one touch, five. Yeah, the way on it, the way on it is just perfect. I think any streak of coming on to that, you know, they're not having to do much. They're just sharing their body up to make sure that they're getting a quick finish. And but James Waters, I think it's been an incredible year for them. I think, you know, the beginning of this year, nowhere near the score at the top. To turn it around the way he has and come in on and still having an impact in the highest level of European football. It's just, it's a credit to them, an absolute joy at goal. Before we let you go, what are you thinking though, the next one? The yellow wall of Dortmund is going to be some match. Yeah, it's going to be going to be a great occasion. Few of us are heading over for it and we're really looking forward to experience the stadium. Listen, I think we know what we're going to be up against. These guys were in the final last season. So I think our manager will entirely respect our opposition in this case. But do we change how we play? I don't think we do. I still think it's the same kind of shape, the same setup and the same press that we've tried to, that we've been trying to implement so far this season. And the guys are enjoying playing that. They're going to be up against a much difficult opponent the next time. And I think as Craig says, I think if you don't take a chance, he's a kind and bad to be here. There are points where I think Sealthick need to be switched on a lot more in the back. And I think that moment with Greg Taylor last night is an indicator of the list of little fragile moments. However, going forward, I think we could score against anyone on our day at the moment. I totally agree. The thing for me and I agree with the press as well, because when you look at Sealthick for me, if you were to break that team down again against a Dortmund, for me, I don't want to front a sealthick strength and include Carter Vickers down in that as well. Lame scales, I thought, was outstanding. But I'm yet to be totally convinced at Champions League level if he is as good as a Carter Vickers alongside him. Greg Taylor and Johnson like to get forward as well. So I think if you're going to go up against the best teams, ultimately, if you want to sit in and defend your 18-yard box for the entire game, it's going to be a long night, regardless, and they will eventually find their way through. I would like to see Sealthick give as good as they can get and see how far it takes. And because coming off the back of that type of performance, yes, you can be a bit more savvy. You can certainly have a different type of structure out of possession at certain points. And then deciding when you're going to go and press and how you're going to press and win it back. But the reality is, Sealthick just now are deadly. Middle to front and the strength and depth that they've got within that midfield area. Off the sides and centrally through the middle, even looking at you, documenting off the bench last night as well, really haven't he persevered just now? Because he probably thinks he deserves a start in Jersey. What you've got to do when you get that chance is you come in and you score and you make the difference. So for Sealthick, up against Dortmund, yes, a much tougher test. But ultimately, when I think now they'll embrace in the confidence, we'll be through the roof. And a phenomenal stadium, as you've played in it? Yeah, played in it a couple of times, actually. Was there recently a couple of years back when, again, nobody expected rangers to go to Dortmund and get a result. Remember, and rangers managed to get a good result on that particular evening, which was a huge result. Look, Sealthick will not go about anything but the way that they have. They will go and they will attack and they'll create chances. And I believe Sealthick can score in this match and potentially even go on and give Dortmund a real good shake in this. The important moments are going to be about how you actually defend. But in terms of the attacking and the creative opportunities, it's the forward runs that impress me. So as soon as the ball goes into wider areas from Sealthick, you will always get a forward runner. You've got Kyogo that stretches a pitch at the right time. So you've got central defenders like, "Am I dropping? Am I coming forward?" And it just creates a lot of uncertainty, but it's the forward runs that make it that difficult and where Sealthick will get their joy. They'll create chances against Dortmund. It's about whether they can take the big moments. Paddy from the Sealthick exchange. Thanks so much. Great call. Thank you. Thanks, guys. Have a good one. Cheers, guys. Cheers. Robbie's on, a big Sealthick fan in Fokkuk. Good evening, Robbie. Thanks for waiting. Good evening, guys. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's beautiful. It's sunny. It's sunny night. I don't know who they thought would be saying that in September, right? Exactly, yeah. It's the last few days of summer. Yeah, after all, because summer doesn't start till Sunday. I hit when everyone wipes out by the end of August. Let's try every moment. Exactly. Squeeze every moment out of it. Robbie, sunshine for you today. What's your overriding thoughts of last night? Yeah, yeah, I was really impressed by Sealthick, you know, you can bring Bratislava down as much as you want. But I think it was indeed that actually, technically, okay. On the big parties, it plays especially that boy who played Berenza, but it doesn't fly to me at all. Vise? Yeah. He looked pretty good, right? Yeah, yeah. He looked pretty good all the way up to a few lower players. So they did look still like a normal kind of continental style. Tim, but I mean, I think it was just a matter of them being a bit off. Maybe a little bit of the occasion in Sealthick. Pretty much right for the first five, ten minutes. So we're right on it, you know, and they're just gaining momentum. Especially after they got that first goal. And then when I did the same half, because I think they got the feeling that a couple of chances are missing the first round. And how much possession they were getting, and how much they were dominating the game that were in it. That's sitting in half, you know, that didn't do a surprise to me, you know, that ended up five-one. But, I mean, there was some staff, staff, they performed most. Who is your top person at angles? Yeah. Fantastic one, the ball. Really elegant player. A totally agree-bake event in Rogers when he did see that the scouting team were the ones who identified him with the type of style that it brings, you know, they needed that wee bit more pace in the midfield. No, I'm not trying to bring the model right away. It was technically good as it was. It wasn't really all that pace. Because I think the angles have got that wee bit more pace. Is it like go-box to box? Well, he's what the manager said about angle. You know, it was a great identification by our recruitment team, because we know when you, after last year, what we want to, and what I want to in the team, which was someone who has got all the ideas that we want in terms of with the ball, and technical and technical ability. But at this level, you need to have a physicality and run in power. And he was one that the guys identified a number of months back last season. So when we knew he was playing in a top league, but we felt we could take him to here and improve his game. He's a dead ball specialist. So we know he's delivery at Augsburg and was very good. He was the set-piece taker. You see strike, just the power, which he hits the ball. It's just the level that he can get to. So I'm now really pleased for him. Obviously gets his goal. It's turn two. She was really good composure. But overall performance of him and the team was very pleased. Is it going back to being a fortress for you? I mean, the atmosphere is always phenomenal. But I heard Peter Schmichael saying he was obviously watching what he could. And he wants to be part of the green wall in Dortmund. But is this the start of something at home? Because it's going to be vital for you in this tournament. If you're going to progress. Paul, I agree with the home games, you've got to win the home games. But you've got to win your away games as well. Every game as a game away from home or home. But he's another thing that I would ever want to get in there. Over the next three games, right? She'll start playing Dortmund at Alanta and Leipzig, right? No, he's another thing. And I'm going to blame everybody on this. I'm breaking away from it. You've sometimes even the coach and staff bring the nodules and the fans. She's the next game. I'm the one for a point at Dortmund. I know, because she felt it wanted to be taken seriously. They wanted to come in and oppose it of attitude. You go to Dortmund and you're going to think about it. I mean, last night, they wanted to think about a draw. They wanted to think about winning the game. Understand that Dortmund are on a definite level, say, by its level. But you want to take one game at a time and you win that game. I'm no looking for draws in Dortmund. Sorry, sorry, sorry, come across, aren't we? If the fans want to see that, there's some of them are out there. The next three games are looking for a cup at a point. For a cup of draws. I'm no looking for that at all. I'm looking for one game at a time. Dortmund, three points at a lanta, three points. There's almost some things, even the managers, a half-speed card, a score and beaten by Germany. They went into the Switzerland game, they went into the Hungary game. They said that they had the all-wheeler, we're always going to lose that game anyway. You don't understand that these are top teams. But if Celtic want to go in with the best chance, they're winning the game, they're going to go in there at Dortmund. No, no, that's going to go in there. Yeah, happy we are draw. I got that. Got your point? What would you say to Robbie? Go for it. Nah, I mean, Robbie, you don't need to tell you. I mean, the Celtic team that I've seen since I've been back, and again, you're looking at the games and the expectation. I don't think I've ever seen Celtic go out looking to draw games of football. It's always with one eye on how do we go and win a game of football. Now, the reality is, at times in the European stage, not saying that they've come up short in terms of performance, because you look at Celtic's games and they've performed really, really well against top, top opposition. It's been that maybe they're not taking the opportunities that have been presented and then maybe lapses of concentration. But going away to a Dortmund, Celtic will be set up to try and go and win a game of football. And the style of football is clear to everybody. It's whether or not then the ability of being able to handle moments in the game where you're pinned in and that you actually have to defend and be focused and concentrated and do your jobs properly, because Celtic will go and create chances. I think that they will go and look to try and win every single game. Bratislava were the easiest opponent. There's no doubt about that. There's going to be tougher tests in this league for Celtic. No doubt about that. But I do believe that Celtic at home can win their matches, and that's going to put him in a good position to go and qualify. Lianne, Dortmund, as you know, winning three-nil last night at Brooch. But what about Robbie's point? Just go for it. Look, I totally agree with Greg Sainne, and I can understand where Robbie's coming from. And I agree, to a point, Celtic will go for it because you don't ever really go out in any game looking for a draw. Ultimately, if you take the lead in a game, that's maybe then where the mindset changes ever so slightly, and you're maybe happy with that result, particularly away from home, and you think, "Let's just take it, hold on it," and the mindset can change. Or if you find yourself trailing in the game and you get back level, that's the point you maybe go, "Let's try and play for the drawing "and control the game and let's not lose another goal." You don't ever start a game going, "Right, let's hope we get a point tonight." You know, you're getting it, but mindset, "Let's win the game. "Let's implement our game plan, our identity, our style." I think Brandy Rogers echoed that last night in his post-match. He spoke about the club and where they've come from, this being the next step, and him being really pleased about where they're at. So, they will grow as the season goes on as well. So, ultimately, these games come dormant at Atlanta. Lips, they get Celtic part. Celtic, for me, will continue to motor because they're getting better week by week, virtually. I watched them on Saturday against hearts. I wasn't overly impressed, I didn't know what to say, and I know domestic football can do that at times. It was another clean sheet, it was another three points, so you can't be too hard on them. But it wasn't the same levels as we seen last night against Bratislava. So, for me, Celtic will go for it. They will go and, I think, taste themselves away to Dortmund because they can afford to do that. The flip side to what Robbie's saying is, "If you can win your home games, I think, in any competition, Craig, "feel free, agree or disagree." That's the priority normally for clubs. You then look to hope that you can pick up points away from home, whatever that looks like. But if you can win your home games, you will certainly give yourself a fighting chance to progress with a name, any competition. Robbie, thanks for your call. Lord's coming in, 0808, 0808, 1717, 700 Craig Moore, and Leanne Crichton. It's the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go, let's go. Thanks for making the switch, so many people. And downloading it as well, wherever you get your podcast, you can hear all of it, you can subscribe, you can follow Leanne Crichton is here. And so is Craig Moore. How's the wee one, Leanne? She's growing up, yeah, really, really good. Just every day is different now. She just seems to be learning and growing and changing, and yeah, every day is so much fun. She'll be available for a couple of years' time, do you think, to give us some sensible comment as you do? I think so, I think so. She's on the right track anyway. I feel when she learns how to talk, she won't stop, I absolutely. Julia's on, the expressway, he's called bride, he's called by expressway, very, very slow. All right, Julia, Julia, big Celtic fan though, I think she was at the game last night, so she can give us a call, oh wait, oh wait, 17, 17, 700. We're going back in the lines in a second. Here's Brendan Rogers talking about the second half performance. Yeah, I thought we played well in the first half, got the early goal that we wanted, had other opportunities to be more clinical. But I just felt that we're having one touch too many. You know, our ability as a team to play with a touch pass tempo and with less touches just speeds up our game. And just a couple of little positional changes where the structure was, there was too much movement at times in the first half, so we needed to keep our position and then that would allow you to get through the pitch quicker and then obviously get into the areas that we wanted to. And from showing some of that at half time and then seeing the second half right from the off, the players were absolutely sensational in the game. And just everything, mentality, hunger, greedy for more goals, greedy for the ball, everyone working right to the very end. And yeah, and could have had more than five, so it was a really, really good performance. Could have had more than five, Dave, and first of all, good evening. Before I do it, I'd like to-- Hi, Dave. Hi, Dave. Dave. Two, I did the 45th moment, even three, and then I was like, oh, thank you. [LAUGHTER] Ah, I see. Good one, Dave. Well, performance, what we're going to say, I mean, you know, when I was talking about two nodes, we know, we could have one tag, one last say, and then, you know, I said, we don't want to do it, because we were just eight, so I don't know. Yeah, there was-- I mean, it was anything to worry you, because we-- look, we know. They're probably the weakest in the competition or one of the weakest. But you've played teams before that you should have beaten, and it just wasn't happening. Bad luck story, whatever. It was almost flawless last night, wasn't it? Yeah, it just-- I mean, angles of you guys, I mean, you can't even be there. So he's not bored. He gets better than just, you know, just slaughtered at the end of a drastic job, but he's going to get there. So I genuinely excited about him after I just gave him half. I'm really looking forward to seeing him develop. Greg, if it could be a bit of a De Bruyne, I mean, his name, De Bruyne, is absolutely phenomenal. I know we're off at halftime last night for Man City, but is that-- Oh, look, I mean, again, he's still a young player. There's still development. There's-- there's still going to be some ups and downs for angles, but what you see is a hugely gifted player, one that has great belief in himself and his own ability. But with the ball, he's neat. He's tidy. He has the ability to move him in both directions, but quickly. So he can cause a lot of problems, but like I said, a younger player, he's come in with a big reputation because of the price tag, which has nothing to do with a player. But the early signs have been, I tell you what, Dr. Water. He's just like, this is no problem. I'm capable of this. I'm actually thriving on this and really looks to be enjoying himself. What's happened with Liam's skills? I remember just over a year ago, he was getting measured up for the Aberdeen set. There's nothing wrong with that, but then good season last year, Leanne? He just looks to me like he's grown in confidence. His ability was undeniable in the sense that he was a Celtic player, for a reason, to start off. He then, out and low and went to Aberdeen, looked pretty comfortable. There was part of an Aberdeen side that struggled at points. But certainly, Liam's skills at points looked very good. And that's why I think a lot of his certainly in the pundituary would expect him to perhaps return to Aberdeen because I didn't look like there was going to be a future for him at Celtic. But the reality is, he's came back in. He's clearly kept his head down. He's worked extremely hard. Physically, he looks to me like he's taken his game at another level because he now just fits in completely. I think he's playing in a position that he's comfortable. A lot of the time, I think he played it left back, if I remember, in his first can I spell at Celtic? Looks much more comfortable in that central defensive role. In his hit the backing of his manager, as well, which I think is massive. He's chipped in in terms of his contributions last night. You see what it means to him. I know it was a first goal. And you probably don't appreciate that you're going to go on and win the game comfortably. But the outpour of emotion, I think, tells you everything about Liam Scales. I think Brendan, or just spoke about Irish players and British players that he's worked with over the years. The other ones that stand up every week for you, the other ones that turn out, regardless of who you bring to your football club. And Liam Scales is now doing that. But a lot of it for me is to say, I think it's down to confidence and actually now feeling part of something and quite subtle in his position. I think also, look, the majority of the talk's never going to be on Liam Scales. It's going to be on Cara Vickers or it's going to be on the next person that comes in. But effectively, he's alongside him. Great, certainly. He'll show it as a central defender, if you'll know. And no, absolutely. But again, some of the best defenders for me are the ones that aren't necessarily the flashy ones. They just go and get their job done. They're a seven, seven, half every single week. And Scales does exactly that. He does his job. He does it well. He doesn't have a big fluctuation in terms of good and bad performance. And that's what managers want. That builds trust. And certainly, the amount of gain time that he's now getting in the experience and the exposure, you can see. And he's got a good frame for a central defender. He's got good size about him. Managers spoke about him afterwards. Yeah. Yeah, he's a really good header. I said before, he probably didn't get the credit that he deserves. And I think some of our boys that sometimes it's the way whether it's the local guys. I've seen that all my life as a coach. The British players are Irish players. They might not be the stellar name, you know? So everyone's looking for something else. But these are the guys that stand up. Every week for either Greg Taylor's, the lame Scales, these guys. And they're absolutely pivotal to what we're doing. And Liam, as you see tonight, he gets a fantastic goal. And I was really strong and played very, very well. So yeah, really pleased for him because he's been a really consistent performer for us since he's gotten the team. So Dave next up, Borussia Dortmund in Germany, first of October, then the 23rd at Atlanta. And then 5th of November, RB Leibzig back at Celtic. After that, it's Bruges at home. And they lost 3-0 last night to Dortmund. And then we've got Dinah Moquiev playing against Celtic, Celtic young boys, and then Aston Villa against Celtic, the Battle of Britain. Dave, what are you thinking for Dortmund before we go? Well, excuse me, I think that the stage is out. I've lost the cross game so many times. You know, one game I knew was always chasing. It was like the next two games away. We need to get a point. We need to get three points or whatever. I've been taking up the front court. Now you've got points in the back. Yeah, we're not going to go with Dortmund player or that. When was that? And you know, probably no without a right-side guy, though. But we've got points for the back. So there's less pressure on for these two games, not only for all. Dave, thanks a million. Good call. And remember, Europa League, we've got Rangers in Malmo. Next week, Craig, we're going to come to that shortly. Some great ties in both these competitions. Great time to be football fan. You'll be looking forward to that, Craig, next week. Yeah, now it's in. Again, look, it's an important match for Rangers, getting started in Europa League. It's a team that they haven't had much joy against. For, you know, recent times, I think 2021, were both 2-1 defeats. Malmo came out on top, and I think it was Chorlak that maybe scored the two goals at A-brox. That's the name of the team. Remember Chorlak? Yeah, of course. Remember Chorlak? Yeah, he's playing Sunday, yeah. Nah, I know you do, but Rangers could be doing with him. But so this is a tough match on the road. And again, Rangers will want to start in the best possible way. The challenge is going to be, for me, I think, the quality and the squad depth, when you look at, obviously, what was coming off the bench at Chorlak. And I know that Rangers had a positive result against Under, you know, I don't think Amari looks a player. So they just need more people coming into form and applying pressure so that the manager has some good selection headaches. But Malmo will be a tough match. Yeah, we're just about to go to Lory there in the East End, but the lane has gone. A bit more from... Well, here's the captain last night at full time. Callum McGregor. So it's the first time Seltic have won their opening game in the Champions League. What performance? Five won. Excellent night. Performance level was superb. The supporters played the part. I think everyone enjoyed it. Players certainly enjoyed it. So, yeah, fantastic starting. And that's what we wanted. Expectation was honest to come and deliver. And we did that, so great starting and now we move on. He never stops, doesn't he? No, he absolutely doesn't. As I say, he sets a tempo in every game that I watch. Seltic play. I think he's outstanding. He probably still doesn't get the credit that he deserves. Callum McGregor and a lot made about his international retirement as well. Just the other ones, you know, people disappointed as it too soon. You can understand why he's made that decision because to produce those types of energy levels and really commit yourself to what he probably believes is the next step for Seltic in terms of that European journey. Can you go and improve and, you know, the history that's gone? I think he's prioritising where his workload is going to be spent and it certainly won't be in international breaks. Laurie's on the line now. Good evening, Laurie. Good evening, Paul, good evening, panel. Hi, Laurie. Yeah, it was an attendance at the game last night, Paul. Excellent. How's the voice? Doesn't sound too bad. You're not too hoarse. No, no, no, I'm too painful. I'll tell you what, it was certainly a magnificent performance by Seltic last night. I'm not going to get too happy with Paul because I do realize that Paul's on Bratislava, the champion, please send me chance. But they can only play with some fun of us. And I'm not going to be disrespectful to want Bratislava because they don't defeat much of them. To get to the group stages and wealth and/or European powerhouse, most recently they have appeared in the champion league group stages. And most of the things, actually, if it's advanced here, it's unaided. I, you know, the last year of the season before. So, you know, I all and all are fantastic performance. I certainly marked really a couple of years ago that I felt what was pivotal to our chances and progression but to win the home games. Energy getting the road as a bonus would get free. We know that the game is coming up in the next phase. Overall, and to make a more general point, Paul, as a Celtic fan, I think this is the best feeling I've had as a Celtic supporter since the heady days, the house in days of the Blessed Mountain almost 25 years ago. Brendan Rogers has come back. I know that the man who used the parts of the free hadron. A lot of people were very unhappy about that. They had come back. And I think he's won over a lot of the doubts of, though. Celtic, to me, just they are absolutely superior. The guy is the same dangles. There's been a similar transaction there. He's president of the team. He's been a mincey for seasons. And every area in the field. First of all, incidentally, the Italian field. He seems to have been in recent things, the weapon boy, for whatever reason, because he was never perhaps regarded as for that spectacular weapon. We're never going to get back in the Celtic part. William Scales, to me, never felt so good wrong. He's an unsung hero. He's very commanding there. He's such a piece of my passes. I think he's excellent. He's a modern day sent to come back. The panel starts. Laurie, it's Leanne. I want to ask you, you're speaking about that feeling that you've never felt it was good for a long, long time. What's the difference, then? This is an exciting comparison to say. And post the core gloony second season in the players that he brought to the club. And certainly before, I think, the Champions League, there was a lot of optimism amongst the fans. I'll tell you, I'm glad you asked for that question. Leanne, good question. And I'm delighted to respond. I'm not going to test. And he gave us two good seasons. He's mostly a part of you. I hope things work out for him. I'm doubtful of the world, because I think it's a prerequisite. He's going to have to get taught them under the top four. Otherwise, you'll be a gone-up. Anyway, I dig this. The difference, Leanne, and answer to your question, was that Wells and Leanne played an entertaining brand of football. Always felt like it was a charge of the labor gauge. We used to go up front and waves. I think that we were a naive in my estimation. And that Celtic, what a vulnerable and suspect at the back, not so under Brendan. He's instilled a discipline in the side. As he plays, if I look at the ball, it's imperative that they're backtrack. So there's a work ethic, and this present self-excited under Brendan. Do you agree with that, Leanne and Craig? Yeah. Well, I'm not overly convinced that it's that different. Laurie, if I'm being honest, because I do think, personally, or why is you're maybe only talking out of that? And his team would be Liam Scales would be the difference in the back line, and I think the middle of the pitch and the front line certainly, to me, looked very similar in how they go about it. But time will tell, but carry on, anyway. Back him back, I think he was saying. Is there more to that now? Me, though. Me, though, was as relevant as well as last night. He was doing that under the angle. That was the same energy level. Yeah, of course, yeah. It was the same defensive role for me. For sure, look, I don't know, the style of the style I play. All I can listen to at the time. And I think I've seen, or heard Joe Hart come out recently, maybe even last night during the football. In terms of the challenge that was there, the transition from Anne's to Brendan, and how he was kind of when is Brendan going to put his stamp on this particular team? And he was explaining how it didn't really come until the back end of last season. And it was only small changes. It was only really small changes, but I still think the styles are very, very similar. So Brendan touched earlier on an interview, Laurie, where he was saying, at times in the first half, we actually had too many men forward in areas and we kind of lost our shape, our position a little bit. So these are the things that definitely need to be fine-tuned when you go and play against top talent. That was interesting. Laurie, I didn't hear the Joe Hart, but someone told me today he did say that. He said, "It didn't change anything at the beginning "last season." Remember people say, "Oh, there's a difference in the style." He made no change whatsoever. Yeah, well, that's right, because he's a smart manager, because again, you can't come in. These players were primed and prepared in a certain way, and good players can adapt and make changes, but they can happen over time, because again, domestically, it works anyway. It's a European at the top level where you really got to be tested. And again, I look at Celtic. Laurie, they will create chances. What's held them back is taking those opportunities. The first game was perfect against Bratislava. Could have been game over at half time. Two important yellow cards that may, at some stage, come into the tournament into play, which is Alistair Johnson and Carnivickers. That's a vicious one, yeah. Laurie, we're running out of time here. Thank you for the call. Glad you're enjoying the house in days. But remember, you're up against the invincibles this weekend of Fall Cook. Thanks for your call. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go, let's go. Thursday evening, Paul Cooney with Craig Moore and Leanne Creighton with us after Celtic winning five-one last night against Slovan Bratislava. We've got the Cup this weekend as well. Quite a number of the teams are just one game away from Hamden Park. So it's the League Cup, the premier sports semi-finals coming up. In fact, they kick off tomorrow night, don't they? We'll be on the telly. You're vulnerable to having you like it today. Not tomorrow night, but it should be a cracker. Tomorrow night, I've seen Stuart K through. We're all speaking about the Friday night lights and how when the tie came out, it was desperate for the fixture to be moved to the Friday night. And I know Motherwell are really driving it this week to get as many people in the stadium. I really create that atmosphere. I think the players are, by all means, up for it and then the United, a good start to the season as well. But no, the Cup weekend always brings a tad of excitement, doesn't it? Is that why it's been hard for me to get a ticket? Because there's been such a-- Such, such, such, as it has been a surge. Yeah, it's a game I will try and get along to, Paul. Friday night, we think of Yulian, because you're on Dunfirmal and saw you last week at Big Win for Dunfirmum. We'll come back to that. Probably won't tonight. There's so many goals. Settle plans to come in. But Big Win for James McPake and the team. Let's go on the lines. Paul is on. A big range is fine. Good evening, Paul. Good evening, guys. Thanks for having me on your show. No problem, Paul. Robin, I'm going to be better coming. She can't hear me. I had a wee bit of space right here. I was talking to Laurie there. I've listened to a few silty fans today writing and working different things. And I'll be honest with you. No. We talk about silty setting the benchmark for angels and the lead domestically, which I do agree with. But I think for European football, we set the benchmark for Scotland, because this is factual. This is factual. This is not me making up as a Rangers fan. But we have benefited Scottish football over a number of years by getting to the later stages of your colleague and then the finish of the final, which I benefited from. But granted, I watched part of the silty game. And I thought they were absolute outstanding. So I'm being level-headed. I thought the player was growing. They were fast, fast moving. And I'm feeling that, no, from a Rangers perspective, I think we were too slow times building a playoff. But I just want to reiterate to all the silty fans listening out there, right? It's the first game in the Champions League. You were playing a team that I would probably say in no disrespect, but... I think you are about the disrespect. Well, how do you go through? Yeah. They were conference level. You were a keen conference level, I would say. I thought they were absolutely shocking. I thought Vladimir Weiss and people like that, great player when he was with Rangers, but he's passed his best role due respect. Listen, and as well as that, there's a chance to go one each from Vladimir Weiss, which might have changed the game. I doubt it though, but... Listen, I watch him win the play. Don't mean that way, I watch him win the play. I'd be a lapstick. And you know what, see if they do it and they get through. I'll be the first in the show to congratulate and say, "Well done." But, come on. Listen, I listened to Laurie there. And I thought it was won the Champions League. I mean, listen. I know they've been waiting for the first Champions League win the first opening group game in a Champions League, but come on, you just haven't won the Champions League. That's my point. So Laurie wasn't saying that. And to be fair, we always say here, Rangers record in Europe in recent years has been much better than Celtics. And there's a big part of the fact that Celtic qualified automatically this year for the Champions League. And whoever wins the title, probably Celtic, but Rangers just five points behind, will have to qualify next year. It will be tougher. So Paul, you're right. Fans will, you know, you're generous there about how Celtic did, for the year. I mean, Vladimir Weiss didn't play that well last time. Oh, by the way, he was awful. But awful, awful. He also took it, personally, didn't he? He got involved in silly... He was emotionally, he was too emotionally involved in the game. Paul, can I ask you about Rangers, though, we do want to talk Rangers this weekend, because that was a big win up at Tana Dice. And it's thin margins. You're back at Ibrooks on Saturday. And I mean, it is a game at a time, just now there's no point in your thinking too much about, you know, the financial gap or whatever. We know what's going on behind the scenes at Rangers. You need funding, you need a chief executive. But how big for you is this game on Saturday evening? Oh, massive lesson that I haven't treated anything in that. I don't want to be in Europe this year. I've enjoyed the period of success for Faden Europe, but we really need to get back to domestic success. But there's a generation of fans out there. I don't want Craig Thompson, we aren't. But I think there's a generation of fans out there who over 10, 12 years or whatever, are now growing up and thinking, "What to go to the park and get beat one now?" That's not too bad. I didn't grow up under a period of day. But I think about it, I wish I had a hindsight, you know, milked, I didn't want to dig. But, you know, I grew up under a period of success, like the absolute domination. Paul, sorry, you know, you were in a European final two years and what, four months ago? It's not that long ago you were in Seville? Yeah. I know, but I've put it down. I want the domestic success, I'm tired, do what I'm really tired of, it's like a malaise, right? And range of fans will disagree with me, right? Because we did have a great journey in a lot of things. But doing what, there's a malaise of first day Sunday, first day Sunday for a second entire day, that format. We've been doing it for the last eight years. Cost you, it costs you games. And there's an example of Princeton Johnson on a Sunday night, eight o'clock, I mean. Yeah. And you're playing catch up in that. And all, Craig, what would you say to Paul? Well, what I'd say Paul is as a player, Thursday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday, European football is fantastic. And it's what players continually want to chase. And it's obviously what clubs want to chase because it brings success and it brings money through the door. To then be able to go and get better players to keep improving. For the fans, obviously, who are very much appreciated, understand that that support is needed. But look, for me, at this moment in time, I think the disappointment for the majority of the Rangers fans is that standing still and not really supporting the manager or the ability to strengthen the team. Because we touched on two or three seasons ago, that you're open cup final. And Gerard Winen, the title as well, Rangers stood still. And at this moment in time, it's come back to bite pretty hard and there's been a lot of change within the club on and off the field. And at this moment in time, I get what you're saying about domestic success, but the concern is there is a kind of gap in terms of ability at this moment in time and in particular, financially, Paul, that must be a concern for Rangers supporters. Leon, what would you say before we go back to Paul? I can totally understand because I think what's alien for a lot of Scottish fans is the Thursday Sunday. Look, we grew up football for everybody watching was a Saturday. And the women's game for me, literally every Sunday in my life, I've played football, everything that Paul's saying is absolutely spot on. What I think is happening with Rangers as well over the last number of years is that the players and the recruitment and the level that they've brought to the club at points hasn't been good enough. And then asking those players to go Thursday Sunday and play catch up has been a real struggle for them. I don't think they have dealt with the pressure and the expectation of having to win games. And that's played out with the way the league campaigns have ended, certainly. In Celtic have got stronger and stronger. On the pitch and off the pitch is Craig Alludes today. I think off the pitch just now for Rangers, it really does look like a lion-bashing section or even Europa League, even, you know, I think we discount at times the money that you get for each game that you win and stuff. Like, does a winfall there, regardless of, you know, being champions like a Europa League? Paul, we've run out of time in the first hour. We will talk to you again soon. This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen live, weeknight's from five, on go. Let's go! This is the Go Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Call, oh wait, oh wait, 17, 17, 700. Let's go, let's go! Celtic fans will be watching Arsenal playing at Atlanta tonight over there because they're there in match day three of the Champions League. You know, this story, five won last night against Brattas Lava, five different scorers. Gary from the Gobbles is on the line. Good evening, Gary. - New evening, Paul, evening, Gary. - Hi, Gary. - Hi, Gary. Leanne's in good form, so too is Craig. So am I. What about you? What are you thinking after last night? - Oh, listen, call the league, you know. I'll keep thinking, please, sorry. (laughs) No, listen, we're about to take a minute. I thought that excellent last night when you, when you look at it from the players that started the game, to the players that came on, everybody played the part. The fans were raucous, the fans were up for it. And this is what we need to do, you know. Listen, I know it's only, I know it's Brattas Lava, rather than Barcelona, in all respect. But, you know, we're going to come up against tough rock position. This season is Champions League. You know, you've got the Europa League winners and the Champions League rounds up to come. Up next, but yeah, I think we need to make 70th arc of fortress again, you know, start ending this bad in run of games without wins in the Champions League and start to make the stadium of fortress again. - Do you think that even Sir Rod up to his game last night, looked to being brilliant for him? Don't know if you saw it then when you watched it back when you got home. But my goodness, he was there with John McLaughlin and others, and he wasn't having. - Yeah, absolutely. He was loving it, him, and his family, you know. It's always out to fans where it's, but it's been a long time, kind of thing. You know, the Nails were actually kicking in before the game, even, I think, because of the expectancy from everybody that either they beat, but I just love it comfortably. I think that's where the Nails kicked in. But once again started, you know, the way they controlled the game, the way they repressed them, they didn't really have a lot in the tank, obviously, and over on you at the competition as well. And I think when you look at the goals came from all over, from, from Liam Scales at the other leader in Kyogo, it was a brilliant night for all Celtic fans. - What are you thinking about Hadamieza? Of course, that his first goal as a permanent Celtic player? - Yeah, it was delighted to be obviously for him to get the goal because it was unlock at the weekend. You know, I think it was power, but it just didn't take quite bend. He's run quick enough. But you know, delighted to first touch, I think he's got a lot together in this Celtic team. He's grown frustrated at the Kyogo at the weekend, you know, wasting chances at getting started. Kind of a similar kind of effect for last night before he topped the ball away with his fire. He's stomach, I'm not quite sure, but they all count. And as much as I love Kyogo, you know, I think he does going to be the future. I think of Celtic up front. - Liam? - That's an interesting point. I mentioned it earlier on. I think Hadamieza's probably going to need to buy this time to an extent, but all you can do in that moment is come on and look to make a difference. You certainly look to me like he'd managed to make his mark at the weekend as well. I was here at Celtic Park covering the game. Took my way to work out who had actually been offside when I was trying to track it back as the on field check was going on. And I think you're right. I think it was in power off that left hand side. But I think the strength and depth to the Celtic side, for now, if everybody remains fit and available, they're going to be a super competitive side. But I think it champions the level if you start to take off. I know you've just mentioned that. I'm an also go Craig about the yellow cards possibly coming into play. When you look at the bench in certain areas, you know, if you lost a cart of Vickers, for example, it becomes really difficult to change and bring the same strength and level of performance into the side. But I think middle of front, there's just so many options in any day. Looks a real deal. I think he's outstanding. And it just shows you the level of concentration and focus that he's got that he comes on and he carries that threat immediately timing of his run, the finish, the quality. I think he's celebration. He just wheels off. He's loving life at Celtic. I think he clearly was desperate to come back and no doubt pleased that both clubs managed to find a fee that was suitable for both. But Kyogo, it's funny because he blows hot and cold and actually he's finished last night for me. I thought the striker's out there that would have got that all wrong. But I think he understands that he's going to arrive and he adjusts and uses a different body part. You know, I think he makes it look like it's almost accidental, but he's in such a good area that you cannot miss. But his movement and his energy levels sets the tone for Celtic. How many there are different in that respect? - That's very different. - That's the point I was going to come in on early on. I mean, normally you get with recruitment. A lot of us like for like, you know? So you'll see a lot of that like for like, whereas obviously with Adam, either, and Kyogo, it's clearly something different. You know, he has that physicality. He has that size. He still will look to, as you've seen with his goal last night, you know, peels his run, nice forward, positive run, one touch finish. He's a completely different player to what Kyogo is. And in terms of the future, he will definitely have from this moment forward at Celtic more years than Kyogo. Because I think Kyogo's 29, 30 years of age and at some stage, he may go on to another club or return back to Japan. - But you love his movement, don't you Kyogo? I think he only had seven touches in the first half. - Yeah. - But he can be lethal. And it's the space that he creates as well. - Yeah, and I'm, yeah, no, he's moving. He's one of those strikers where, again, he's always, he's always looking. He only needs that one opportunity. Would've enjoyed a few tussles again, seemingly, I know. I think my body check would've come in to play a few times. (laughs) - Just think how deep, just think how deep you would've been certain way of playing against Kyogo. - Oh, wow. - Right in top of the goalie. - Oh, well, to be fair. - No, no, not as deep as David. - Thank you, Mark, I'm going to say it. - Would it be a low these days, Craig? That's the thing. - No, no, perfect. - But he's moving, it's electric. He's a, he's a penalty box player, although he does have the ability to drop in the deeper areas. But again, that works poor because Celtic get forward runners. You know, you can drop deep, but as long as you have forward runs. - His game intelligence is in a different level for me. And I think he understands the types of games that he can go and take up that offside position, where he stands, five in six yards behind the defenders, knowing that the build-up player's going to come down the sides. But then he recognises when he can come in and drop into those pockets of space. And when you've got the likes on the angles in there now as well, he looks to me similarly like a squat McTormany as well. I think he's got that kind of look about him. When I watch them at the weekend, I thought he's truly arrivals inside the penalty as well. One, he's hit the post, one, he hits the kind of side netting. Probably should do better, we both, to be honest. But it was that kind of similar late run, the same kind of stature, technically very, very good. I thought he was just a kind of similar player. - On Hugo, I said the wee boxing thing to think he's up for the fight at the weekend. Gary, here's your manager, a couple of things about the team, about the good start. - The start that we want to, I don't think we could have asked for a better start other than having the clean sheet, which was unfortunate. We didn't, you know, we didn't keep. But we know our next three games are really tough games, but they're exciting games for us. But I thought tonight we had to make a really good start in the competition. I think we made a fantastic start. We got three points on the board, and it's now, you know, so now back-to-back win at this level, from the end of last season to the last game of against Fineord and here now, and it's a little step, but important steps for us moving forward. - And the growth that he's seeing in his team? - I just think it's growth. It's, at this level, you have to, one, you have to have a level of player alongside a mentality. And I think that what we've done is we've strengthened the squad, which has given confidence to the squad. You bring in good players, you know, that it ups every game, you know, that ability to have competition will take away any complacency that can have within the group. But like I say, I think it's just given the players the belief to play our game, because those goals that we score tonight, you'll have seen them numbers of times at home. And sometimes I think at this level, people can dress it up and think, because you're playing the Champions League, that you might have to do something different. You don't, just get the intensity in the game, make it really difficult to play against us in our pressure and intensity and fight for the ball, and then that will then activate you with the ball. And I thought that the players did that. So I just think we know what we want to get to you as a club, and tonight it was a nice step. And we look forward to the rest of the games. Gary, Paul was on earlier, the Rangers fan. And he was saying that Laurie and Celtic fans were celebrating as if you'd won the tournament. What would you say to him? I mean, I think to be fair, I kind of get that. I've had a lot of that this moment to be fair, and Mark is real. But the thing I would say here is, obviously, that's the first one in our opening game of the Champions League in 13 attempts. You know, before we beat four, you know, we had that bad and run where we hadn't won any games in the Champions League. So I think when you get back to these last, and it wasn't just a victory, you know, forget who they're playing, because obviously we've got a favorable draw. So we're going to have nights like this, maybe against young boys and even bruise, I would say. But when you look at it, it's the type of performance that was drummed in, you know, that the saw from the players, like angles as I say. He early days, but he looks like a really quality player. I think that they all killed the weight. I thought Roger's got the team absolutely spot on. I thought he got the subs, absolutely spot on. Even James Forest, I've met him at this stage, came on and looked like a teenager when he came on. You know, he was buzzing, there was desperate to get a go. And as I say, I think we should be celebrating games like this, when it's not just the result as the performance that we're celebrating, because we are in a really good position. And Sunday will be interesting because, you know, it's Falkock and it's a League Cup. And I hope that it goes away a strong team in respect to Falkock, because they've had a good start to the season as well. So, you know, they'll be a tough team to beat. And I'm hoping that we go strong and try and get the one early doors. And then, obviously, we can hopefully see a bit of Alex Vala added a Austin Trustee, that sort of thing. But, yeah, I think it's more about the performance rather than the two-ribble clean, as I say, it means Bratislava, not Barcelona kind of thing. I think the pressure as well with the opening game being at Celtic Park against Bratislava carried its own type of pressure, knowing that your next two games are a way to Dortmund and a way to Atlanta. So, if you don't pick up those maximum points, it maybe looks a bit more doom and gloom. You certainly wouldn't be carrying the same expectation and confidence that you're doing coming off the back of last night's performance and result in team performance and the support as well. I think I mentioned at the top of the show that everything aligned all came together. So, it makes it an exciting tie to travel to Dortmund now for Celtic, looking at it and how much of last night's performance can they take and replicate that, perhaps tweak a few different things with regards to personnel and the changes later on in the game and what that looks like for a result. But knowing that your next home game isn't against Leipzig in November with the felt a long way away to really pinpoint those types of points that you're looking at in European football. See, the Zagreb manager was sacked today after the thumping the other night to Bayern and yet there were three two at one point, one of them, they were chasing the third goal. It's, well, they get thumped. They got thumped in, then I think it finished 992. Yeah, but the position that Celtic are in, it's the competition for places that is driving standard. So, you look at, for me, Taylor. I think Taylor's going up a level again since Valier's come in the building. You know, Alissa Johnson's kept on us by Ralston. Trusting now, therefore, replacement potentially to come in and play if scales isn't performing. And he came on for, what, six, seven minutes? But competition, it can make or break players as well, Paul, whether they or not they handle it. Just the result in terms of teams that you have to beat and you can't even beat what's in front of you. Australia played American Smoke 131, Neil. But people weren't talking about how good it was. No, you're not, it'd be like it, didn't you? You've got to shoot that. Listen, it's a joke you've got to be able to in front of you. Celtic were very, very good at being what was in front of them. Can I understand there's going to be tougher challenges? What would Gary's point, though? You don't want to disrespect the opposition, folk hook. But there are players there who, I mean, lapilla Bernardo, everyone was saying, "Would you play last night?" End goals, I'm curious, the right thing. Bernardo, three million pound player who played brilliantly in the Cup final. And it started well against Rangers a few weeks ago. He was going to say, he was getting rave reviews for his six-year-old minutes that he played in against Rangers recently. Bernardo, another great talent. Look, folk hook are a very good side. But this is a huge test for folk hook. And if you're going to give any kind of encouragement to any folk hook player, and I'm sure John McGlinn will be, he's like, "Listen, lads, go out and enjoy the occasion. "This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase you can handle pressure." Look, Macone, there's another name that you've seen. There's at least four or five changes, I think, to the Celtic team, albeit, I think, Brendan Rodgers will ultimately respect folk hook. But it's always a different game for me when it's at Celtic Park. If the Celtic was travelling at folk hook to play this game, you might be slightly apprehensive about it. But I don't think too much changes in me. You look at the strength and depth of the side, just now in the players that come on at the weekend, Macone and scored as well. And I thought he was coming on and scoring. You would imagine that that would be a straightforward swap. Key will go out either, we'll start. You would expect Macone to get his first start as well. You would expect the like-safe armour to come in, Bernardo to come in, perhaps trusty, woke him in and replace either scales or catervickers. So with that, you'll still have a corner with expect, Cal and Macrae, to start the game, put it that way. I don't think you just add Fint a national football today and start setting the bench for Celtic, regardless of what competition it is or how many games in a week he's played. It's a great headache. It's a great headache for our manager. But at the same time, it's a challenge. Sure. It's a challenge keeping everybody happy. Because players love playing football. They're not like when they're not involved, Paul. So Brendan's got a tough job. He's got a job that he'll need to manage, but he's done extremely well so far with that. Gary, back to you then. Let's throw it to you though. Would you make some of the changes then? And I know what you mean about don't disrespect the championship team. Yeah, I mean, when you look at it, I think it is rangers that may be in the last league, cut fine, so it's a trophy that I haven't really won more recently. But, you know, it probably has going to be the midfield. I think the changes are going to be. I wouldn't even be surprised if he dies in my decision as a kind of unrecognised striker, like it has been doing in these games. You know, I think it is Hibbs in the last round. They've got a couple of goals and then, you know, and Livingston in the Scottish Cup last year, they played as the sole striker. So he can play that role as well. So that's an option. But I do think, like, Simma Kevin. Ronaldo will probably come in for maybe a real in-angles, just to give them a wee bit of game time as well. As I said, you'd love to see Vala Camone, we only seen a wee sniff at a trusty last night. But, you know, as I say, I just think maybe he can't have a 360 look to be a bit like the last night towards the end of that game. I think even the booking they picked up when the boy got away from him. Yeah, it was very unlike him. It's incredible that you ever look leggy because when you watch him play, just doesn't even get certain gear. Who was your man in the match? Who was your man in the match, Gary? Well, to be honest, I mean, I was in between China on the angles in the day as a major. But, you know, I'd really can't disagree. We're giving it to Liam Scales because I thought it was excellent. Normally, I'd call him against giving it to Scales, where we weren't really threatening that much in defense, kind of thing. But I thought it was absolutely excellent. As everybody was. Creeks, give it to the central defender. Give it to Scales. I didn't keep a clean sheet. No. Didn't keep a clean sheet. No, I thought it was not his fault. No, me either, for me, was probably the right of the gain. He just never disappoints, does he? His energy and getting a goal, getting a return. But back to the full-cooked game, the cup game now, would they, or think that they could possibly charge? I mean, he's smart, was unbelievable. And I don't know, goalkeepers aren't doing the yes. At some point. But at some time, the exposure for Cinna Sola, does he get a look in? Good question. Well, to be fair, that's the point I've been making for a long time now. And you look at teams like Man's sitting in Liverpool down south and they do it. And that's how Kayla had got into the Liverpool squad, because it was playing in the early cups. It was playing in the Scottish cups. Are there any cups rather? But that's, for me, I've always said, even when Seagriss was at the club, I would have played your substitution keeper, because otherwise, what's the point in having him there? He's not going to get in there any other time. So for me, I wouldn't have opposed to seeing what Cinna Sola's got like in Zunde. Gary, thanks for the call. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcast. Let's go, let's go. It's time tomorrow night, but I focus on what we hear along with Andy Walker. Looking forward to the weekend and know that looking back still here on a Champions League. It still continues tonight, as you know. It's a feast of football, isn't it, this week? It is, Paul. I've just had a look at one of the Champions League's odds. Labor cruising three-nil up after 40 minutes against Bayern. Oh, wow. Yeah. Yeah, so the other game, Ben Ficke, turned your lap against Red Star Belgrade. Mind you, Labor cruising last season. Virtually invincible, weren't they? And the Bundesliga did so well. But then surprised in the final itself. Leanne, this weekend. So, mother will, how are you doing so far? We're doing OK, Paul. Yeah, good start to the season through a tough spell. Played four teams for the top six of last season, which was a tough run. We had a brilliant performance against Glasgow City last weekend. And it's really disappointed that we didn't win the game, which was mad. We lost the game one-nil, but created a barrel of the chances. Another day could have been a completely different score line. So, we were proud of that response off the back. If I pour this out the week before this week, we play Queen's Park, we're through it. Oke will you? Right. Through it's day and eight, three o'clock kick off and Sunday. So, again, a newly promoted side Queen's Park this season, as well. They've picked up some points as well. So, one for us to certainly look to maximise the potential there, but it won't be easy. And at the top of the table is at the big three, really, with Celtic Rangers and Glasgow City. Hearts are up there as well just now. They've had a brilliant start to the season. On beating, I think they're beating one sorry off Glasgow City, but they've been really good, a lot of firepower, as well recruited, really well, and had a brilliant five. Now, winning the Edinburgh Derby a couple of weeks back there. So, they're certainly motoring, which you would expect. There's been brilliant investment at that club. Everything being done properly from top to bottom. A really good structure and investment around the women's side. So, they're certainly ones to look to be there at the end of the season up there and could possibly go and split the likes of Glasgow City, Rangers and Celtic. More market, sorry, yeah. So, with the Tony Bloom talks and all that sort of stuff, obviously around the bout, the hats and the hats, in terms of the recruitment and obviously the programme, the software that is used so well. Starless or doesn't it? Starless, that'd be interesting to see how, and if that goes ahead, the impact that that could have for hearts as a football club. What's your thoughts on that, Craig? Being in the stadium football that you are just now as well, is it something that's growing a lot of clubs when it comes to that stats-driven recruitment element over and almost like computer game, isn't it? It is, it's absolutely. I remember Leanne talking to David Weir. Oh, yeah. A breton about Brighton and all that sort of stuff. He said, Craig, he said, look, he says, 2% of the process I will get, and that's the back end. Once decisions have been made, he says that the amount of work in terms of their systems, 2%, the back end execution of a deal, basically. I mean, my only thing about with data, of course, it's very useful, can be used in many different ways, but like this face-to-face kind of scenario, you know, there still has to be that element. Which that is there though, but as you say, you're probably going through it times 150 players, and then you whittle that down to 20, and then I think that's the point, your top folk and your recruitment team then start to zone in it, then the manager comes in at the point where you're down here like 6, 7, 4 of us, yeah, and then at that point, that's where you're meeting players. So it's a really interesting model. It's got lots, right? We know it, Brighton, it's amazing. Do you think they've got it wrong in Billy Gomer? Because his stats are not as good as the reality of the player, would that be fair? Because Barry was saying the other week, why has he gone for what was it? 12 million. I know, and I suppose from a business perspective, what does it look like if they hang on to Billy Gomer? Are they looking and they've got another Billy Gomer lined up to bring in? Yeah. And David, we are spoke to, as I mentioned, on the show, a month or so ago, Paul, when moving at the pro license, and he spoke about the Brighton model, the recruitment, what it looks like, how they do that, even when it comes to recruiting managers, and the women say that a line's completely, it's the same model that's rolled out across both. They've usually got an idea behind it, and whether it comes down to the money element of it, and the right time to sell a player as well, and move them on, if you've got that replacement coming in. But the thing is, with the Billy Gomer situation, again, you can have the best systems in the world, you're still going to get things wrong. Systems are still going to get things wrong, you know. And the ones that slip through the net as well? What's a move for him as well, Napoli? It'll be about 28 degrees at the moment, down there. Yeah, yeah. Well, again, it's a nice part of the world as well. There must be an element of Billy Gomer that wanted to go as well, though, you know, I think looking at a lot of the Scottish players that have gone abroad, and he must be speaking to teammates like I lose Ferguson. He must be raving about it, you know, so I think the first opportunity to get, and even Scott McTormany is woken out there. I think they've looked at it, looked at the Italian League as well, and it looks to me like it's getting back to what it was, 25 years ago, when I'd been training and I'm watching it, and I said, "I didn't want him to know what I mean." You were saying 25, 30 years ago, I got a smile on your face. Oh, what was it? Did we speak about that? 30 years ago, the dimension that and the goal? 30 years ago, a young Craig Moore joined straight from school. You joined? Virtually, I never finished school. Oh, I finished school, I always finished school. Yeah, but it was round about this time, yeah, in '93, '94. Wow. It doesn't seem like it doesn't look like it. You're still in your '40s, a boy, yeah? No, it's such a long time ago, but again, it's there's certain times it feels a million years ago, and then other times as if it was just yesterday. Do you think the two spells there as well, your first spell does that seem? First spell was an educational spell, because I played everywhere but my position, and I had a little bit of joy in trophies, and that second spell was better for me. Rangers have agreed a new bumper kit deal. It's said to be the most lucrative in the history of the club, extending their current agreement with the Kindred Group, so it's in Sun Sport, I see that there, could bring in as much as the guaranteed 80% increase in revenue for next season, and potentially even more if targets are met. And my goodness, your all-club really needs it, doesn't it? Absolutely, I don't have- The investment. Yes, and look, I don't really understand what the financials are behind this particular thing, but I believe in the reports that it's the biggest that they've ever had, and you need stabilized partnerships, Paul, and the Kindred Group have been that for Rangers, but certainly in terms of where Rangers are, finances, sponsorship, money coming in, so that the club can go out and strengthen that team. It's really important. Billie's been on a Rangers fan on the socials that go football show, we'll take some more calls as well, 08/08/17/1700, or send us a voice note. Do you do voice notes? I think you would. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would imagine. Yeah, all over the voice notes, Paul. Oh, Craig, you are as well, I guess. Yes. Executive producer Jamesy loves the voice note, I think he does. So he's asking about the game for this weekend. He wants to know who do you think is going to play this weekend for Rangers? So you're looking to see... Everyone's talking about your commande last weekend. Yeah, because he had a nice little cameo performance appearance at the weekend against Dundee and Ided. I'd love to see him start. He has that ability where he's slightly different. He's definitely not come through Academy football. Let me tell you that. There's flair. Wanting to take people on, wanting to drive forward. Certain passes that might be other players that see, Paul. I'm first so I think I want to see more, absolutely. Yeah, I'm what you're looking for to see with Rangers. We haven't seen much of Nadine Bishrami just yet, but three and a half million pound player. Yeah, no, look, there's a few faces that I would expect to come in to the team, especially with the return of the Iberics as well. I would imagine that Philip Clemente will look to play in that. He'll want a response from these players. He'll want the fans to be right on board for the get-go. It's almost a celebration. I think it's an energy that you've got used, because there's been so much chat about the fact they've not been there. I'm actually covering the game on Saturday, so I'm looking forward to being there at Iberics and seeing Rangers. I think it's been probably about six, seven weeks since I was covering one of those games, so I think even then there's a fair bit of change in a couple of the players up to speed. But I'm honestly unsure, unsure what to expect when I watch Rangers in the coverage of the game. I don't know if you know which version is going to turn up. I don't know if they're going to be a confident side, if there's going to be goals galore, if it's going to be title of the Dundee and Ida game. I think there's so many different versions there. I think that there will be goals. I think that just return to Iberics like you say. I think the energy from the fans is going to be electric, and the players hopefully can thrive off of that. I believe that will happen. Probably timing Paul for Dundee with the return to Iberics. I think might play against them. O8, O8, 17, 17, 700, if you Rangers fans are all in seeing what they're looking for this weekend, because the following weekend they're at home to Hibbs in the league. And I see today they're still waiting to see if the Hibbs fans will be in any big numbers, because they're moving some people around Craig aren't they? Because it's only half the couple of good, which is open. Yeah, Barry saw it the other day. He said it's looking good, but still they're still working on the top half to get it ready back to how big do you think that will be? Leanne mentioned it being back home at your own stadium. I think I know the answer, but... No, I think it'll be huge in terms of returning to what is your home. We know the frustration, probably for all involved at the football club, in particular the fans. I think they'll come back with huge energy and support for their team. Listen, if you're a Rangers player and you are playing this game at the weekend, and you struggle to get up for this match, then you shouldn't be there. For me, I think it's going to be a huge advantage. What is your thoughts, Craig? Possession specific. I'm looking at it. Who would be your central defenders? For what you've seen from Rangers when you look at Proper. Who's fit, who's available? I know what I'm speaking about. Barry again as well, and he would be in there. I hate the Proper. They've not been overly convinced that none of your thoughts are. I think that Proper will be given time. Absolutely. Suitor has obviously been the one that has been playing more and more regular. I sometimes can understand when fans say, "Well, Barlegans are probably still the best defender in the building." Because he probably is. For me, I look at Proper and I look at... He can play football. That's all great for a central defender for me. It's the decisions. It's attacking the ball. First off, defending. You don't get enough defenders, actually. That is our mindset, the modern day game. And the best thing or the hardest thing to do as a defender, and the ones that do it are very, very good defenders, is sensing danger. And I just feel even in that first goal, a range of Celtic match, a first goal, I don't think Proper senses danger. The forward run, he stays inside when he doesn't need to. For me, that's when you shift across. The gap between him and Jeffty was 30 yards, which is criminal at that level. No, I get what you're saying. I think you're spot on. He's more of a ball player, isn't he? Rather than a defend first, play second. But I think Clemente's get decisions to make. Isn't he in key areas? And you look at the likes of Jeffty coming in. Every time I watch him, he gets booked. It's just one of these players. I think it's going to get through the season. He's already been sent off. And I just feel he plays on the cuspid times where you just don't know what you're going to get from. And they were not even Europe with him. And yet, he played well, didn't he, against Dundee United? Well, I'm very well. And Proper the jury is definitely out. That's what I was about to ask you, because, um, Baligan, he just found really like him. He's had some injuries, Leanne. And when people ask you back to his age and manage him, and look, if he's fit and he's available, get him in the side, because I think- Look, a moderate, just what? Exactly. Tonight. When I'll do. 100%. And I think in the majority of those games, especially the best of them when you dominate the ball, they're not backs to the ball. There's no a lot of high intensity, high speed running, going back towards your own goal. You're dominating the game in the certain moments. And I think just that experience then gives the confidence in the players in front. Like we spoke a bit car to Vickers, you know, with the players in the front line, going express yourself, going press, going when the ball back, have the confidence that the back lines there and the tidy things up. And for me, that's what Baligan does. And sometimes I can take it a little bit for granted because I played at the football club. But there was an interview after the game with Propper. He said he'd never seen a way support quite like it. And I like a game. So what is kind of normal for myself and a lot of players that've been through, like this is a player that's an older player and experienced player. And he's also experiencing new things. And he's meant to have come in. His role in terms of to be that leader, Kliyan. So it's a bit of a big challenge. We've got your predictions on that game and some others in a moment or two. Leon, I don't know if you've met this in Johnson, owner who came in during the summer, Adam Webb. But he revealed today's undergoing cancer treatment. He said the prognosis is good, but he wanted to share it with everyone. So obviously we're going to wish him all the very best he's tapping back from his role as chairman of the football club. No, I've not met him, Paul certainly. But sad news, but clearly it sounds like there's a level of optimism. There as well. And the fact that he's stepping back to focus on his health, but no, completely agree. We wish him all the very best and wish him all the health. And earlier in the week, Craig Levine took training the other morning, did the media interviews and then he has gone. So surprised? I bet I suppose because I think he started the season. For me, I actually signed the two-year contract. I think that was what was most surprising when he first came in. Craig Levine, but it felt to me like it was a stopgap in terms of just that survival last season, and it should have been a fresh approach. I think the new owners and the change at the club, it's probably only normal. Just perhaps around the time and as the surprises you mentioned, taking training, doing the media, and then your phone. I think that's what raised eyebrows the most. And again, like when your ownership comes in, they normally have a look and then you're never really surprised, as you say, when you see. What we do now is there'll be a lot of applications going in for this particular job. Can I throw in some names, Scott Brown's one of the names in there? I'm not saying he's got his heart in. He was on the telly last night, of course. Who else? Neil Lennon's name has been mentioned. I think what's happened is that Andy Kirk is remained at St. Johnstone, and by all accounts from what I hear in people speaking about the club, he was kind of hands on deck and he was kind of dealing with a majority of the coaches. So I don't think too much will have changed other than Craig Levine, certainly, fronting things up and being the manager. Is that a good job for someone? I think it is. Yeah, look, I suppose time will tell, because St. Johnstone, one of these clubs that they've been looking for change for a number of years were the owners that were there for a long, long time, and brilliant owners by all accounts. Any level of change, I think, can be a good thing. It's just where you get it right and what you don't want. I was listening to fans speaking yesterday about the history of the club and the managers that they've gone through, and they're not known as a club that sack managers and remove managers, they were known as a club that gives managers, young managers an opportunity, I hear Derek McKenna's, for example, I call him Davidson. That's what they want the club to be. I mean, you mentioned they liked to scope round. Could it be an opportunity for somebody like that to go there and inject that kind of fresh energy, a new modern day approach? I think the club needed it, and it feels like a long time ago. So they did that cup double, but what was it, three seasons ago? What was it? Yeah, just with three four seasons. 21, wasn't it? Yeah, it was, 2020, 2021. An unbelievable run under Calum, Davidson, but it feels that we're, you know, many miles away from that just now. How was he in the telling you last night? I saw that I was switching around during the half time. He's fine, yeah. I struggled to take him seriously. Really? Why? I don't want to just feel like he's ready to just kick off with some nonsense. And even in his pandas, I feel like he always says, "I'll be kind of undertone about what's going on in the games," and even Vladimir vice, I think he alluded to him being caught up in a motion, but he must have been a player that he played alongside, and I played again, sorry, but no, he's brilliant. What job he's doing at United is very delighted for him and Steven Whittaker, certainly. I'll tell you who's brilliant, Emma Dodds, isn't she? She's really good, yeah. I worked with Emma in her very early days, really proud of her. And you think of it the way she's not failing at that position, Paul, but it was Darryl Curry, wasn't it? Yeah, that's right, and Darryl. And he took on well, and she almost had to step in. That showed that night when he took on well, and had to kick him off here. She's virtually been in it, and she's been seamless in the rolling. She's a brilliant broadcaster. Emma, for a long, long time, Paul. When I was a kid, she was at Rangers News, my way back. Well, she started with us, she was one of the ones that played, working for us. And she was there, and so was Darryl Curry. That was how he started Darryl. It was great to hear him do an interview as well, so good luck with Darryl. Yeah, and I think he's back podcasting just now as well, and I can a phase to return. It was great to see. Paul, you're like an agent of your world. No, I'm going to find talent. There's a lot on the matter of him listening, Jackie Bird. He's a big Murray, the media. Just not making his kind of money. No, I think he was really, really good, but she is. No, she's doing really good. I think she brings a good balance as well. She's about a few minute times, doesn't she? We're the characters that you have on as well. She's got an extent, could be intimidating, but no, she handles it and controls it really well. If only I could do that with you two, and Barry and Andy tomorrow night. This is the Good Radio Football Show. Listen anytime, whatever you get, your podcasts. Let's go! Looking forward to the weekend where it's the Premier Sports Cup. We've got Mother All Against Undeunited tomorrow morning, tomorrow evening, at Fair Park, evening morning. I have an endless start, isn't it? Breakfast show coming live from Fair Park. Crofty is going to be there. I'm hearing as well. Aberdeen Against the Spartans, not just Spartans. This Spartans on Saturday at 5.30. Same time as Rangers Against Dundee, and then Sunday at 3 at Celtic Park. It's Celtic Against Fulcrut. We're going to turn to those games first up tomorrow night. Mother All Against Undeunited, can you believe Dundee United haven't been in a semi-final or final hand in since 2016. I mean, it is hard to believe, given the record they used to have. What you're thinking for this one tomorrow night? Who's it going to be, Jim Goodwin or Stuart Kettlewell? I think it's going to be Stuart Kettlewell. I think Motherwell are going to get the result at home. Look, they're both domestically coming off the feats. But the opportunity, a semi-final at the National Stadium is the incentive. I think Motherwell will come out on top. Leanne, obviously with the coach at Motherwell Women's, but you always give her an honest verdict, what do you think? No, I think it was a tough night by all accounts other than the defeat to Rangers. I think Dundee and I did believe they're in a good place, and Jim Goodwin spoke about that. Didn't he post-match after Rangers and how they probably got it wrong the way they had started the game, because they felt like they were in a better sport and didn't feel they should adapt. So it's been interesting to see how they can escape up tomorrow night. As I mentioned earlier, on Motherwell, I really geared up for it. I think it's a club we're excited about at the prospect of, as you say, returning to the National Stadium for a semi-final as a carrot that's been dangled, and I do think Motherwell will age it and come out and talk. But by all accounts, it's going to be a really close game. Good crowds this season, because we got the report the other day that Scotland punches above its weight. If I head, we've got the highest attendances in Europe. Yeah, which is brilliant, and even in the women's game actually, the tendencies have been up from the start of last season, which is brilliant to see. Hopefully, it continues, that's what you want, and I think these types of games, and I think being smart with how you tweak the schedule as well, and the Friday Night game. I love it covering the championship when you've got the Friday Night game, and all fans love it. I mentioned earlier on Stuart Kate, well, speaking about it, when they're working class, finish their Monday Friday job, and you head to the football and support your team. That's kind of what it's all about after you're cloting us out of these. A lot of people do, but I just think when you change it, it gets a different, it's just a fresh approach for the fans that I'm sure they'll buy in it tomorrow night. You're right, and to the mother will think, because of course, the steel men and steel women was because of Raven's Creek, which sadly is long gone, that industrial base in the west of Scotland, no more. Please be a leisure centre. Yeah, I know, I know, that's the story. Let's hope we can build the country up again. So, score line, what do you think? I'm going to go two one, mother will. Two one, mother will. Yeah, one nil, mother will. Okay, Aberdeen against the Spartans. So, what are the dawns? It's just Jimmy Tillman, yeah. I know, say. Is it ten, is it ten years? Yeah, ten years. Unbelievable run. I don't think the Aberdeen fans have felt it is good for a long time. There's been a lot of... Have they tried anybody there? Oh, listen, come on, you can only beat what's in front of you. Oh, that's true, but I mean, in terms of the real test. Well, time will tell, but I think they've been tested, and often the fact that a new manager's come in, he's had taken a stay, did a ship and changed things from last season. The expression would be an Aberdeen manager as well. I think there's any expectation, regardless of how poor things looked at stages last season. They've come in, they've come for behind it. Points have scored some brilliant goals. I think overall does a team identity about them as well. It put Audrey against the Spartans. Look, Spartans have had a brilliant start to the season as well. What I find job they do is a club, but I think going to put Audrey's going to be a tough ass for them, and I would expect Aberdeen, when that comfortably may be a three or four nil. Papaji is out and alone last week's come back. Who was Miyoski? Or is it too early to see? Oh, well, two really good finishes. It's the first one in particular off the post. Great strike. Yeah, look, again, I don't want to be disrespectful to what's happening in Aberdeen. They've started off extremely well, and you have then that confidence and even then going into the bigger matches. But this particular game, Aberdeen will be too strong. Paul, two, three nil. Coming to the big two in just a moment or two. I want to look at the championship because it's on this weekend. Yeah, yeah. Morton against Adrian. Patek Thistle, Dunfirmlin. Queen's Park, A-United. And Ray Throwver's Hamilton. Leanne, every one of the games, I'm just looking, I was going to, which one to choose? Stand out. They're all good games, aren't they? They are. I know, it's hard to pick, because everyone's going to have something different. Riding on it. Ray Throwver's it, even when you look at that, against Hamilton. Ray Throwver's sitting at the bottom of the table. New manager looking for his first win. Yeah, I know, I know. And, you know, a lot of change. You would need to save Patek Thistle, Dunfirmlin. I mean, Patek Thistle, I watched them in the cup, against Oliver. They lost 3-1. The other week, which I was totally surprised at, because they took the lead through Bryan Graham, and you expected it to be a comfortable afternoon. They can have blow hot and cold at times. You don't know what Patek Thistle's going to turn up, Dunfirmlin. The week before, sorry. I went to the game with Queen's Park at home. I know. And they blew them away. And they've got the potential to do that, I think every week. But I don't think they're consistent enough with that. Dunfirmlin, as you mentioned, they were on a big win last Friday night against Ray Throvers. You felt James McPake needed that. But across the championship weekend, week out, you go a couple of weeks without a win. You're going to drop to that bottom half of the table, down to the relegation sports. And you're going to put a run together, you know, two or three weeks on the bounce, and you think start to look married, and you're up there on the playoffs. Could four cooks stay there? Top of the table, a point ahead of air. They've got a game in hand. So listen. I think they could. Okay. I think they could. Because they've got brilliant continuity, a good manager, good experience players in the dressing room as well. I think they've got a good blend with the young players throughout the side. They've got goals in the team. They've got clean sheets in the team. Sorry. But it's going to be just so close. I think the championship does it? Every season two is so hard to predict. Do you mean fall cook just this weekend? Or do you mean over the course of the season? No, I mean the season. I mean the season. I mean, I mean for the table. I think fall cook will be right there a bit in amongst it. It's just, it's such a tough league. You know, you look at, you look at, green at the morning against the edge. You talk teams more than sort of green at the morning. Yeah, yeah. I think second and third bottom. Yeah. Yeah. The championship is such a tough division. Fall cook. I think we've got every chance. And then you can shut me up. Sorry. No. Just the never, never went to the legends are here tonight. Right. Rangers Dundee. Five thirty on Saturday. I normally ask you for your Rangers team, but it's difficult to see it. It's just no with the injuries or who's in, who's out. It's pallegant while he's fit, isn't he? So he's going to play. Put his best out there. The ones that are fit. Both Rami for me has got to start. If you're going to spend that kind of money, Paul, get him in your start and line up, especially at home. I'd like to see Igamani in the starting lineup. Again, you know, Tavernier, everyone was again on the get him out, get him out, get him out. I thought he was excellent against Dundee and I did. And he showed real leadership because it's never nice taking the criticism of the fans and reading about it here and about all the time. Come on, show us something. Put a strong team out there. The money that you spend on players, supporters want to see in play. So get buzz around me in there. Seems to be a little bit cautious maybe, Leanne, but. To a point, I know, I feel like he tries to keep a balance all the time, but there's a certain point that you've rolled in it. You just tip the scales and literally go where, you know, you're new recruits and the players that you've brought in. And the ones that want to prove a point, I think for them on Saturday, all be it. Iberics won't be at capacity yet. I think for those players that have arrived at the club, it could be something special for them to experience that you've touched on. Proper Craig and the fact that he's allowed to do certain things that are different and changing their way fans and what that feels like to be a Rangers player. So, you know, get those new players onto the pitch and allow them to thrive in that environment. It's not going to be easy, Dundee. You know, they're a good side. Tony Doggetty will have them well organised. He'll take his side to Iberics with the belief that they can get a result in Saturday. They won't turn up their expecting to lose a game. No chance at all. So, you've got to have a level of professionalism, but I do think risk-free reward in Saturday, for Phillip Clamont, could be, you know, there could be a lot to begin from that. Goals in it, then? Goals in it, I think. I don't see Rangers keeping a clean sheet, if I'm being honest. No, I don't. I'm going to go 3-1 Rangers. 3-1. Score line, Craig. What do you think? And now, I like to say, hand-of-le-hand score line there. Again, I think there will be goals in this match. I am happy with 3-1. Borussia Dortmund's there. One of their guys has been saying, they should beat Celtic in the Champions League when they come there. That's the view of the sporting director, Lars Rickin. That's the kind of thing, Craig, that you love to hear, isn't it? You just shove it up in the board. Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Team talk done. I have a confidence that times can come back and buy it. And buy it hard. Celtic are huge tonight for them, 60,000 last night. It was great credit to Scottish football. We talk about it. I broke the special nights in Europe a week, a couple of seasons ago. And hopefully, again, this season in Celtic Park last night, people I was watching the programme afterwards, they were talking about it. And the fans had something to certainly cheer and enjoy. The manager afterwards touched a humour in that Celtic are, well, joint top, second just behind Bayern. Yeah, the competition stops now. We play Bayern Munich in the final. But it was a great night for everyone. I thought that you just sensed it before the game, the feeling and the crowds. But no, it's so proud of the team, the intensity of which we played up with and the ball was so good. And yeah, it was a great night. Sunday, what's going to happen then? It's quite a gear change, isn't it? But what do you think, Craig? What kind of game are you going to see? Again, you're going to see, I think, well, certainly two teams that want to play football, because four-cook also want to play football. Look, Celtic will have an intensity that should be superior. And when the game quite comfortable, two or three, Neil. Again, it's a great opportunity for the four-cook lads just to go out and enjoy the experience and try and make a name for yourself. Two or three, Neil. Leon, what do you think? I think it'll be comfortable. I think it'll be even more comfortable than that, albeit, four-cooker and impressive side. But I don't think they're used to spending as much time without the ball as they will on Sunday at Celtic Park. I think that's a real change for them. I would expect Celtic even four or five, to be honest, the way they've motored the goals at the squad last night. I think we'd give you that same belief that they would go and do the same. And the strength and depth as we spoke about the changes in the way Brenda Rogers might look to fresh in the side up. You've got players coming in with a point to prove the likes of Adam Eda. For example, I would expect to leave the line. And I'm sure he'll be looking to go and score two or three if possible and show that he could be the starting number nine. Thanks to both of you for tonight. How's your name? She's doing well. She's doing OK. She's doing OK. Had her out today for a wee coffee, which was nice of her. She's going to be out for quite a while, but she'll be trained in the show tonight. She'll be enjoying that at the wee scone. Oh, Matt, it's going. Do you like a scone? Love us. Might as well as love a scone. Love us. Well, thanks for the scone tonight. Thank you for everybody. Thanks, Leon. Thank you, Kate. Thanks for all. See you again next week, hopefully, both of you. Tomorrow night, Barry and Andy will be here at 5. This is the Go Radio football show. Listen live weeknights from 5 on Go. Let's go!
