The Pathway to Lasting Peace
"Disputes about ownership of the remote Falkland Islands reached a crescendo in 1982 when the government of Argentina chose to invade the islands and take them back from Great Britain by force. It didn't work out well. Not only did they not take the last Malvinas, but Argentina lost 649 military personnel, several ships and numerous aircraft and surrendered after 74 days. Surrender ends a war and the warring going on in the minds of many people would end immediately if they chose simply to surrender to God. Paul wrote in Romans 619, "Even so now yield your members' servants to righteousness unto holiness." What sort of Christian experience is it if you're partly surrendered or asking God to guide your life just a little? In that war in your mind, surrender your life to Jesus.
