Our minister to them, we pray for a fresh touch, a fresh anointing of the Holy Ghost that touched him, encouraged him, and lift burdens from off their shoulders. We love you in everything in us, God. We put our trust in you this morning. You are the healer. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. We thank you, Lord, for not changing on us. Somebody tuning in this morning, they need to know that you haven't forgotten about them. Listen, some of you watching this broadcast this morning tuning in, some of you feel forsaken, let down, abandon, but I want to say this to you. He is right there with you. He loves you, and he cares about you. He says in Hebrews 13, 5, "I will never leave thee no forsaken thee." At the end of the verse, he said, "I'll never leave you." He's right there with you. Isaiah 41, 10 says, "Feth, I'll not, for I am with you. "I will help you, I will strengthen you. "I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." He cares about you, you're going to make it. In Jesus' name, somebody say, "Amen." Good morning to you, saints, as we continue this teaching series, "The Necessity of Faith." This morning, I want to talk about this. You shall live and not die. I don't care how dire your situation is. No matter how bad it look, you might have gotten a bad, bad, bad report from the doctor. You might have only, some of you have been given up to die, and we thank God for doctors. They really do try to help us. They are blessing from the Lord. But there's some things that's beyond science. There's a lot of things. That's totally beyond mankind. And we need the supernatural help of our God who cares about us. Who says in Luke 1, 37, "With God, nothing shall be impossible." Absolutely nothing. Matthew 19, 26 says, "With God, all things are possible." You are the right place at the right time, and I want to declare over your life. You shall live and not die. Let's go into the word. I want to read this in the book of Psalms 118, verse 17. And then I want to take you in the book of Acts. Chapter 20, verse 7 through 12, verse 17 of Psalms 118. David said, "I shall not die but live, glory to God. I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord." I dare you to open your mouth and say it right now. I shall not die but live. I twisted it, but it's all right. You shall live and not die. My, my, my, to declare the works of the Lord. Isn't that a good word? Some of you have a death sentence over your life because of that sickness, because of that accident, because of something happened in your life. And the enemy is trying to snuff you out. He's trying to cut you down before your time. But I dare you to open your mouth and say, "I shall live and not die to declare the works of God." He cares about you on this morning. You know the apostle Paul said in Romans 8, 39 Paul says, "For I am persuaded." 8, Romans 8, 37 through 39 Paul said, "I'm persuaded that neither death nor life nor anything present nor anything to come. No principalities nor powers will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus." In all these things Paul said, "We are more than conquerors." Now I want to take you in the book of Acts 20. The Bible says in verse seven on the first day of the week, we gathered with the local believers to share in the Lord's Supper. My God, they were sharing in the Lord's Supper. The Bible says Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, he kept talking until midnight. Ha, ha, ha. Paul must have been preaching for almost 12 hours. What an amazing preacher. This man is just preaching. Well, you know people have fallen asleep. Come on, I'm siding at some of our services. People fall asleep, they think, "Oh, it's too long." But the minute the Holy Ghost starts moving, everyone's up and alert because they don't want to miss nothing, amen? But it's all right, now watch this. So Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, Paul was thinking, "I got to give you everything I got. I'm going to leave it all on the table now." So he kept preaching all the way until midnight. That's a long sermon, y'all, watch this. The upstairs room where we met was lighted with many flickering lamps. As Paul spoke on and on, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Look at that, you know, Paul was preaching along here. A young man named Uticus sitting on the windowsill became very drowsy, just like some of us do, if a church service is way too long, some of us died, yawning and dropping in and out, right? In the Bahamas we call it diving. (laughing) And church, when someone falls asleep, we'd say, "Hey, did you catch any fishwalls you were down there?" We call it diving in the Bahamas. You guys probably have something else here in America, right? You call it something else, but watch this. So it says he became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep, and this boy sitting there in the windowsill. So there must have been so, the other rest of the people might have been so caught up in Paul's preaching that they totally took the eyes of this young man. He fell asleep and dropped three stories to his death below. Paul's preaching so long that little Uticus, the Bible calls him a young man, Uticus couldn't take it. He's sitting in the windowsill and fell asleep and just took a dive. But this fellow went all the way down, he went for the plunge. Felt from three stories to his death, he died. Lord have mercy, but it wasn't over for Uticus 'cause the apostle Paul was a man of faith and power. The Bible says in verse 10, Paul went down and bent over him and took him into his arms. What was Paul doing? Paul was praying a resurrection back to life prayer over that young man. The Bible says Paul went down, bent over him, and took him into his arms. And this and what Paul said, "Don't worry," he said, "he is alive." Lord have mercy. Paul went down and laid hands on that man, that young man, and raised him from the dead. He was the Bible says, he felt his death. The place was packed with people, they had witnesses. And Paul went down then, laid hands on them. And God answered Paul's prayer and resurrected this young man. Then they all went back upstairs. You think Paul would have stopped, right? Then they all went back upstairs, shed in the Lord's supper. Paul said, "The devil's alive, he's not gonna get there, he's not gonna stop the Lord's supper here." Then they all went back upstairs, shed in the Lord's supper, that's communion. And ate together, and Paul continued talking to them until dawn, and then he left. I mean, Paul preached half of that, and then all night, all the way into the morning. What a God we serve. And the young man who fell from three stories and died was resurrected. You shall live and not die. You were still breathing, you ain't dead? Uticus died, and Paul used Paul to resurrect a man from the dead. You shall live. Meanwhile, the young man was taken home alive and well, and everyone who was greatly relieved. Praise God. Somebody tuning into this broadcast. You have some deathly illness in your body, but I'm here to encourage you this morning. You shall live. You shall live. We serve a God of another chance.
