Good evening and welcome to the Sunday night services of the first Baptist Church of Algiers. And if you would, please get your Broadman songbook out and we're going to sing number 421 in the Broadman if you only knew him, verses 1, 2, 3 and 4. That's the Broadman number 421 if you only knew him. 1, 2, 3 and 4. If you only knew my Savior, if you knew his boundless grace, You will seek his loving Son. You will earn his seeking space, if you knew him, If you knew him, if you were to be true, if you knew him, only knew him. You will love my Savior too, if you knew my Savior, if you knew his tender loving King. You will seek his heart of great compassion. You will go to give him prayer, if you knew him, only knew him. You will get to him be true, if you knew him, only knew him. You will love my Savior too, if you only knew my Savior, if you knew his love for you each day. And he never, simply, believed him. You shared with what you made. If you knew him, all we did knew. You were there to give me true, if you knew him, only knew him. You would love my Savior too, if you only knew my Savior, How will that dark cloudless be? With the glory of redeemers, As you never catch away, if you knew him, only knew him. You were there to give me true, If you knew him, only knew him. You would love my Savior too, if you knew him. This was a favorite of Brother Willie's, and when you heard him pray, he would mention if you only knew him. If you only knew my Savior, if you knew his boundless grace, if you knew his tender loving care, if you knew his love for you each day, if you knew of the land of cloudless day, if you knew him, only knew him. You would wonder to him be true. You would, you would add to him be true. If you knew him, only knew him. You would love my Savior too. I definitely Father, we thank you for yet one more time to try and stand your Father to have a word. I thank you because you said give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God. In Christ Jesus concerning you, your will be done, dear Father. This night, as always, please none can stay your hand. Would you please, dear Father, send your Spirit among us, convict, awaken, and save as only you can? Would you, dear Father, please? You said, well, two or three are gathered together in your name, you being I missed. Help us, dear Lord, that's our cry. Please, dear Father, see for us, we rest with you. Please, our loved ones and those who pass the buys that have not turned in, would you call with your precious and holy calling? Please, dear Father, I seek the afflicted to breathe. We continue to ask you, please, for the widows of this ministry. We ask you, dear Father, please, again, if I did pastor, dear brother Freddie, dear brother Glenn and brother Melma, dear brother Howard, dear Father, those in the mission, mission places, who stand to have a word, thank you that your word shall not return unto you, void, but accomplish and prosper. Thank you, dear Father, that you have placed your word above your name and you have left your word for us. Would you make it real? Please, dear Father, send your Spirit to make your word real to some heart this night without has all power and this is nothing for thee. And please, dear Lord, please give us a word, give us thy word that we may be able to tell others. Please, I ask you to clean up these words in the name of your precious son and for his sake, amen. And our next song comes out of the Red Book, number 198, just as I am, verses one, four, and five. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] So feel list of great words of Scripture and as I've said before, the only thing that makes these words great is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. And our word tonight is faith. C.H. Spurgeon wrote in the sermon number 2259 dated 1892. That's 132 years ago. He wrote, "One grain of this faith is worth more than a diamond the size of the world." Yes, though you should thread such jewels together as many as the stars of heaven for number, they would be worth nothing compared to the smallest atom of faith in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. And that's what I say, amen. It is by His grace to say amen to this statement. For this statement holds true of God and to the Son of His love, Jesus Christ the righteous. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And if you're tired of hearing me say He is His only begotten, well-beloved, dear Son, the very Son of His love, who is? And I have added this one to it. Who is the author and finisher of our faith? Then I have nothing for you. But He says in His word, "Behold, what manner of love the Father had bestowed upon us? God's love for sinners is and was displayed on the cruel cross of Calvary." Do you believe it is the question? Do you trust the Lord Jesus Christ with your heart, your mind, and your soul? Oh, sinner, will you take a look of a lifetime and lay aside every weight in the sin that does so easily beset us and let us run with patience to race that is set before us. Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God, for consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest you be wearied and feigned in your minds. I pray that by His Spirit through His grace, you are considering Him the author and finisher of our faith, not just today, not just tonight, but every day, if not in whom or in what are you trusting for the well-being of your heart, the protection of your mind, the salvation of your soul. You see, your heart's well-being, for your heart's well-being. You need the great physician who knows how to replace the heart. This, that is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. We need the captain of the host to protect our minds from the onslaught of the adversary, the accuser of the brethren, day and night. We need the Lord Jesus Christ, whose mission it is, and was to seek and to save that which was lost. Oh, sinner, I have the high privilege to stand before you tonight, to try and tell you of whosoever you are. In whatever condition the world finds you in, whatever condition the word of God finds you, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, and He is the propitiation. He is the very mercy of God for sinners, for sin, not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. That's His word. Oh, sinner, my heart's cry. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not Christ. Now, the scripture does say charity. Charity means love, love, the love of God is Christ. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels and have not Christ, I am become as a sounding brass or a tingling symbol. Though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and knowledge, and though I have all faith, all faith, He says, so that I could remove mountains, and we'll get to this in a little bit. But I thought about moving mountains with faith, do you know the biggest mountain to be moved? It's that stony heart in your breast. Faith, He'll move that mountain for you. You'll do that for you so that I could remove mountains and have not Christ. Charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned and have not Christ, it profited me nothing. Every son of must face this absolute truth. We are nothing without Christ, who is the author and finish of our faith. The Almighty God knows we are nothing. He knows we have nothing. He knows this to be true about all of us. So He gave to Adam's fallen race his son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the righteous, the author and finisher of our faith. His faith, the size of an Adam will save a never dying soul. Can you imagine that? Can you test Him and find Him to be true? Do you have faith in Him in who He is? The Son of God? The righteous? The only righteousness we have? And what He's done for you? Do you know what He's done for you? He went to that cross for sinners. He did not do that for Himself. He was perfect, undefiled. He did that for sinners. For me, can you answer as Peter, "Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God." Can you? Do you know Him in whom there is life and life eternal? Do you believe Him? Do you have faith in Him, the author and finisher of our faith? The one with whom you have to do? Our dear old Dad used to beat that like it was a broken record, with whom you have to do. You have to do with Him, whether it's on this side or the other side. You're still going to have to do with Him. You can't get around. You can't get around it. You cannot escape it. This world, as I've heard before, is shut up to the cross and it's the cross of Christ. You're going to come that way. Do you make an effort daily to praise Him? For this is the chief end of man. Will you consider Him daily for the well-being of your soul, lest you weary and faint in your mind? I don't want to see that happen to anyone. I don't. Lord have mercy on us. Are you reading and studying His word daily? Because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Scripture says and it says knowing. You know, you had to think about some words sometime. Knowing. You know what a word knowing means believing? That's just as I said in press service, when the man tried to get my attention, he acted his own, he knew me. And I know I didn't know him. But I know whom I have believed in and persuaded. Knowing, believing that a man is not justified by the works of the law. And there's a reason for that. Because we have a justifier. E. R. Capital J. By the faith of Jesus Christ, even when. And I wrote the word when there, but it says even, but it's even when we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by the faith of Christ. Christ is the only means of justification for the center. Period. There's no other means of justification. None. There's no other way to stand before the thrice holy God. None. Except in Christ. Except with Christ. Except through Christ. That's it. And not by the works of the law. For the works of the law, shall no flesh be justified. It won't. Spurgeon wrote, he says the Bible frankly states in this passage that faith alone and not works justify the soul before God. He does not, he who does not believe this rejects the gospel. If you don't believe that he's your only justification, you're only justified, then you have rejected the gospel, the death, burial and resurrection of the law of Jesus Christ. And therefore, you do not believe that he is returning someday for all that he is. Have you rejected, refused, denied the gospel of the law of Jesus Christ? The only begotten, well beloved, dear son of God. The very son of his love for you, the center. The scripture says, the scripture, the word of God, it says for seeing that God would justify the heathen. That's what Abraham was. That said that this morning, Abraham was heathen. That's what we all are. Sing, for seeing, for seeing. I mean, he saw this a long way off, for seeing that God would justify the heathen through faith. That's me. He saw this old dong hill beggar long before I was a winner or were. Justify the heathen through faith, preach before the gospel unto Abraham, saying in thee shall all nations be blessed so that they which be of faith are blessed with, not by, but with faithful Abraham. Abraham believed God and it his faith, his belief, God counted this unto him for righteousness. Is there any difference between you and Abraham? He's a heathen. Abraham belief in God is that which justified the ungodly. His faith was counted for righteousness. I thank the Lord for what he has given to me. Lord knows I couldn't do it without him. Whatever it is, faith to sit and just read his word. That's him. That's him doing that for us. This is a living book, his word. It is written in God's eternal word that Abraham staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God and being fully persuaded that he what what he had promised he was also he was able also to perform and therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness. He has given us the righteousness of another. Adam's fallen, race has not. And if you're telling my brother early and if you if you're wondering about if he's calling you, he called Adam. He called Adam. Why wouldn't he call you? Why isn't he calling you? He's calling you now. He called Adam. Are you steeped in unbelief? Is that what it is? Galatians says that no man is justified by the law in the strength in the sight of God. It says it is evident in some words gets your attention. It's evident. That means it's clear. It's plain. It's obvious. It's evident for the just shall live by faith. That's the only way that just can live. How are you living? In other words, how are you going to live for eternity without Christ? Now the rich man will tell you because he wanted somebody to go back and tell his brothers. Don't come here. He wanted somebody to go back and tell them. Lord have mercy on us please. There have been men at this ministry time after time after time that have stood in this pulpit to tell you of God's Word and his precious Son. That's all we can tell you. There's no other gospel. There's nothing new under the Son according to Solomon. Lord have mercy on us. This is all we have. This is all that he gave us his best. He put his Word above his name and then his Word became flesh and dwells among us full of grace and truth. And as a whole, as the world today, we just walk away from it. It won't take any time with it at all as though it doesn't exist. You know, we may not be able to get to it, but I had a line in here and I thought about it. Do you realize Satan has spent years having those men, convincing men that he does not exist? That hell is not real? Can you understand? Does that cross your mind that the world out there the day does not care about this? If he has convinced them that he is not real, that hell does not exist, he has also convinced them that Christ did not die for you, that it's not personal and it is. This is the personal gospel. This is between you and God's Son and it's God's Son that will present you to God himself. This is real. This is real. The relation says, "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster." Schoolmaster reveals our heart as totally depraved, deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith, that we might believe him. Do you believe him? Oh, Santa, do you know or do you do you believe for the law came by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ? Do you believe? Do you trust in the very word of God? Do you know that God is faithful to his word, made flesh dwelling among us full of grace and truth? In fact, he says his word, in his word, where two or three are gathered together in his name, he says, "There am I." He's already here in the mist. Will you believe him? Do you realize the night of the Passover when Israel was instructed to put the blood on the doorpost that they had to believe the word of God? It was the Egyptians who did not believe and lost their first bond to the death angel. Their loved ones would have been saved if they had believed. They couldn't believe. They could have put that blood on the doorpost. Nothing stopped them from doing it other than their unbelief. Do you have the blood of Christ on the doorpost of your heart? Without the blood of Christ is no remission, which means no forgiveness of sins according to the eternal word of God. He said to Israel, and he says to you, "When I see the blood, I'll pass over you." That blood is the precious blood of the Son of God, more precious than silver and gold. Peter said as far as much as you know that you are not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversation received by the tradition of your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world but was manifest in these last times. That's been a while, but it's still the last times and it could still be another 2,000 years. I don't know, but it's still because he has come and died. It's still the last times for you. Because we're only here for a short period of time and it could be tomorrow. You may not finish tonight. Today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow truly never comes. It's today. You can't get into tomorrow. All you have is today who by him do believe in God that raised him up from the dead and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God is your faith and hope in Christ. By his faith, are you covered by the blood of the Son of God, the very Son of his love? Let me repeat, without the shedding of the blood of Christ is no remission, no forgiveness of sins. If not for his blood, we would be as most men, we would be as all men, most miserable, for we would know the sinful state before the Holy God and we would have no remedy. That would be a sad state. It's sad today. Can you imagine what it would be if we had no remedy and we were still living and we had no remedy? Oh, son, the work of Christ that he finished on the cross fulfills every jot until the law and his blood paid the penalty. In fact, he paid it all. Sin had left a crimson stain and he washed and it's personal. He washed me wider than snow. He did not do this for himself. He was perfect, undefiled, but he did this for sinners of atoms, fallen race. Will you have faith in God? He is the only one whose blood has been placed upon the altar in heaven for the atonement of your souls. Will you believe it? In John 6, 29, the question was asked of our Lord. It says, "What shall we do that we might work the works of God?" In Scripture says, Jesus answered and said unto them, "This is the work of God that you believe on him whom he had sinned." That's his work. Also in John 6, 40, he told them of the will of the Father. He says, "And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone that see it the Son." And that's with the eye of faith here. "And believe on him may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up at the last day." We see him now with the eye of faith, but one day, one of God's days, when faith will give way to sight, we shall then fall at his feet as dead and give all praise and honor to the God of his Word. In Matthew 8, the Lord stayed a great tempest in the sea. Scripture says, "In so much that the ship was covered with waves." Think about it. And it says it was covered with V-waves. That's a mighty tempest. When I thought about this, I thought about being out at sea. And I've said before, we hit a librarian tanker in the straits of hummus, and we had one repair done someplace, and we were headed to Hiroshima to have the scene looked at. And the captain took us through a typhoon, and a ship at that big, it was as though you were walking down a hill and up a hill. And all I could think of, the ship was covered with waves. And here's the rest of the Scripture, but he was asleep. Yeah. And his disciples came to him and woke him up saying, "Lord, save us. We perish. Is it that desperate for you? Do you realize you're perishing? Have you woke him up? Lord, save me? Are you looking to him?" You know, I had to think about what that look is. You know, if you know he was the bread of life, you'd look to him. If you were thirsty and dying, you'd look to him. If you needed grace and mercy, you'd look to him. But you see, we go about today, this is going right back to the beginning. We go about today as if he doesn't exist. It's all, we're doing this ourselves. You know, we're mad. We can handle it. We can't bus agree. We can't do it. And he said unto them, "Why are ye fearful? O ye of little faith." Now, that describes me. That's what I am. There was a time of this question, "Why are ye fearful?" Wouldn't have even crossed my mind. I just didn't know any better. I have found out since that not knowing is no excuse. Because I guarantee you somewhere, just as that rich man in hell, when he opened up his eyes, I guarantee you he could tell you when somebody told him about the gospel. He could tell you when he walked away from it, when he rejected, when he denied it, when he wouldn't believe it. But it was too late for him. You're on this side now. You still have an opportunity. I have since found out that there is, that not knowing is no excuse for not having faith and not believing in the Son of God. There was a time I really didn't. There was a time I really didn't know my extreme weakness of the extreme weakness of mankind, especially enough to be fearful of the living God, or to be reverent before the Holy God. My eyes had not been open to see that every step is ordered, every breath is measured, every thought is allocated, and every heartbeat is numbered by our God, our Creator, our Redeemer, our Keeper, our Protector, and our Provider. The history of mankind is truly the grace of God. Had he not provided that grace, we would be lost. I think about Noah. Noah found grace in the eyes of God. Today, this night, I can say I am fearful. That is to say I have reverence for God, his Son, and his Spirit. Being in this flesh, my trust, my faith of the Savior is weak at best. I learn over and over every day that his precious word says to me, "My grace is sufficient for thee. My strength is made perfect in weakness." All I am is just an old weak man. Within Adam's fallen race, that's the whole world today. Scripture says there is no fear of God before their eyes. We use his name in vain and we mock him. We will not believe he said he left at our calamity. Outside of Christ, the wrath of God awaits us. There was one day that was me one day, but he sent his Spirit to do the work of grace in my deceitful and desperately wicked heart. So now, by the grace of God, I am fearful. My fear now is for loved ones, friends, this congregation who will not believe. Is that you? Let's be clear. I am of the tribe of little faith, so much so he has to clean up my prayers and he has to forgive me for being me only as sinners say by grace, true faith, and that not of myself for grace is the gift of God. Spurgeon wrote, he says, "It is ever," which means it is always the Holy Spirit's work to turn our eyes from self to Jesus. But listen to him. He says, "But Satan's work is just the opposite of this. For he is constantly," is the word he uses, "trying to make us regard ourselves instead of Christ." Isn't that true? Isn't that true? That's just the truth. He insinuates. He says, "Your sins are too great for pardon. I've been there." He says, "You have no faith. I've been there." He says, "You do not repent enough. I've been there." He says, "You will never be able to continue to the end. I've been there." He says, "You have not the joy of his children." He says, "You have such a wavering hold on Jesus." And remember, he's the killer of the brethren day and night. He never lets up. He never lets up. It is grace to say to you standing here, "He is a defeated foe." And his dear old dad used to say, "There'll be a lone angel that'll come and take him away and bind him." All these are thoughts about self. And we will never, Spurgeon says, find comfort or assurance by looking within. Never. But the Holy Spirit turns our eyes entirely away from self. He tells us that we are nothing, but that Christ is all and all. I'm thankful. The old song comes to mind, "Turn your eyes upon Jesus." And look full in his wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim. You know, I can attest to that today. They will. They'll grow strangely dim. I thought about, when I read this and thinking about that song, the thought of Miss Norett saying that, "His words says, 'A sense shall not have dominion over you.'" Now, you're going to go through some rough times here, but there's a place here when you have to cross joy and you won't have to cross it alone. You will leave sin behind. Remember, therefore, it is not that hold on Christ that saves thee. It is Christ. It is not that joy in Christ that saves thee. It is Christ. It is not even faith in Christ, though that be the instrument. It is Christ's blood and merit. It's him. It's all of him. Therefore, look not to such he says, "Therefore, look not so much that I hand with which thou doth grasp in Christ as to Christ. Look not to thy hope, but to Jesus, the source of thy hope. Look not to thy faith, but to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." And he says it's thy faith. It's only mine because he gave it to me. All that I have, he gave every last bit of it. He says, "We shall never find happiness by looking at our prayers, our doings, our feelings." It is what Jesus is, not what we are that gives us, gives the rest for the soul. If we at once overcome Satan and have peace with God, it must be, he says, by looking unto Jesus. He says, "Keep thy eyes simple on him. Let his death, his suffering, his merit, his glory, his intercession, be fresh upon thy mind. When thou wake us in the morning and when thou lies down at night, can you say, "Thank you, Lord." Do you say, "Thank you, Lord." Will you say, "Thank you, Lord." It's the least we can do. It's say, "Thank you, Lord." Oh, let not thy hopes of fear come between the and Jesus. Follow hard after him and he will never feel you. That's the truth. That's the truth. That's the truth. I say, amen. That's his promise to us, to send us, that he will never leave nor forsake us, be you realize we are influenced daily by the subtleties of sin, self-sating in the world. We are under constant attack, so much so the majority of mankind does not realize we are under the attack of Satan until it's too late. I mean, I know you've heard stories before of those who are passing away and wish that they had done something, wish that they had believed, wish that they had gone to church, wish that they had read his word, but it might be too late. As I've heard the pastor say on many occasions, the way things are happening to people today, they lose their mind, their health, their strength, and they can't do anything but they wish they had. You see, you're on this side and you still have health and strength, a right mind. Ask him, beg him, don't go away until he saved you. We're that frog that has been placed in the cool water of the pot and we do not realize that there is a fire heating the water until these sinners realize that it's eternally too late. Will death finds you in such circumstance? If so, the grave will hold you fast. We are manipulated daily because we have a sin, dark, and hot. That is only evil continually every day and men love darkness rather than light because our deeds are evil and we have an adversary, the accuser of the brother. I mean, it just compounds on us because of the fall in the garden. But what has been provided for us is the blood of Christ. We are easily influenced and gladly manipulated in some cases because we are totally depraved. We will not believe the word of God, our Creator, our Redeemer. We will not believe that our God, our Creator, and our Redeemer has provided all for totally depraved mankind. He's provided his word of tender mercies and loving kindnesses. We will not believe that God is faithful by whom you are called unto the fellowship of his son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Believe it or not, he's calling you to come just as you are as he called our forefather, Adam, but we are of little faith. In fact, we are unfaithful and we are captive of unbelief. This is the soul's warfare and man without God has nothing to fight with and no place to hide. We are unaware and unable to fight this battle for the battle is the Lord. Paul tells us, he says, finally, brother, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. He says, put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. God says in eternal word, he says, know therefore that the Lord thy God. He is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant. Lord, thank you. He keeps his promise. His word is immutable and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations. Thank you, Lord, without the faithful God and I love him because he first loved me. Do you love him? There's a battle taking place for the souls of men and the word of God says the battle is the Lord's. He is the victor over the dark domain where he has led captive, captivity, captive, and all glory and praise and honor belongs unto him. Will you praise him? Scripture says, let everything that hath breath, praise ye the Lord, praise ye the Lord, give unto the Lord the glory, do his name, worship the Lord in the beauty of his holiness. We are here. We that are here are to set the watch, sound the alarm, to urge, to compel, to wave the light in this darkness, to cry aloud the gospel truth that Jesus Christ the only begotten, well beloved, dear son of God, the son of his love. He is the only way. He is the only truth. He is the only life in this warfare and no man coming to the Father but by Jesus Christ the righteous. He has led captivity captive. He is more than conqueror. Scripture says, thanks be to God, they give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore my brother, my beloved brother, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. For as much as you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord, oh son of have faith in God who has magnified his word above his name. In his word he has urged sinners to take counsel with him. Have you taken counsel with him? He says such that sin and darkness in the shadow of death being bound in affliction and iron. Why? Because they rebelled against the words of God and condemned. They despised the counsel of the most high. Is that you? Or you like the world despising his counsel when he means you only good. Don't you know have you not heard it is the goodness of God that leaded be to repentance. I cannot prove to you that this is God's word. I have learned that I must take my concerns, my care to the very God of his word for he has bid me come and he has bid you come and he will never send you away because you come in the name of his precious son. You come and he's the righteousness. He has extended the scepter of grace and I'm happy to say that that scepter is extended not for me only but for Adam's fallen race. You can come because salvation is of the Lord. He has done the Father's will which is all that is necessary to save lost sinners. He gave his all. He's the only one who knows all. He's the only one who has all for he is the only one who has all power to do as he please in the affairs of men and no man can stay his hand. And I thought about Brother Glenn's message last week. Yes Brother Glenn. He is the sovereign God who is willing that none should perish but that all should come to repentance that turning from sin, self, Satan in the world. Turning unto Jesus Christ the righteous the Son of God. His only begotten. His well beloved. His dear son. The son of his love. The author and finisher of our faith. The psalmist wrote out of the depths have I cried unto the old Lord. Have you cried? Have you cried out of the depths of the darkness of your sinful heart? Psalms continues there. He says Lord hear my voice. Let down ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. If thou Lord he says should us mark iniquities O Lord who shall stand. God marked iniquities. If he does not forgive our sin then which of us could stand? We can answer that tonight. None could. There's none. No not one. Therefore none of us could stand before the thrice holy God. God can and will forgive sin only because Christ has died as the sacrificial lamb that taken the way the sin of the world. He Christ is the author and finisher of our faith. He began it and he finished it. God has proved himself, has provided himself a lamb as Abraham told Isaac. God has provided himself a lamb and that lamb is for us. It's our substitute. It's his son. He rose from the grave and is seated at the right hand at the throne of God. That's the throne of grace and we are bid to come. You can come to the throne of grace and you can come boldly, scripture says, to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Oh, sinner, there's a man in the glory. The psalmist continues there. He says, but there is forgiveness with thee that thou mayest be feared. Forgiveness of God is in Christ with Christ and through Christ on whom he God has laid the iniquity of us all. Will you come to make his soul an offering for sin? Isaiah said, yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him that he had put him to grief when the Lord shall make when thou shall make his soul an offering for sin. You shall see his seed. You shall prolong his days and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. Christ, the word of God made flesh full of grace and truth. It's dwelling among us in his gospel. John marked him out. John said, behold the lamb of God which taken the way and that means to bear. The one that bear, the sin of the world. The psalmist, Paul wrote to the Ephesians. He says, Christ is the one in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace. Paul writing to Timothy, he says, this is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptations that Jesus Christ came into the world as safe sinners. He says, whom I am chief? Paul writing to the Corinthians. He says, for he had made him to be sent for us from no sin. We might be made the righteousness of God in him. Peter writing to the Sanhedrin. He said, neither is there salvation in any other. For there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Isaiah writing to Israel, he says, come now and let us reason together say of the Lord, though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Will they be read like crimson? They shall be as wool. Paul and Silas, to the Philippian jailer who asked, sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved in the house. The Lord Jesus Christ himself who gave his life a ransom says to sinners today. For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost. Old Son of God was at the Mount of Transfiguration. And here's what he said, behold, a voice out of out of a cloud which said, this is my beloved son whom I am well pleased. Here ye him. Do you believe him? Will you have faith in him? The Lord said in Revelation, he says, so then, because doubt or lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. And the question is why? It's because thou says, I am rich and increase with goods and have need of nothing. And know it's not that doubt or wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. Do you see yourself like this? But he wouldn't leave you there. You know what he says to you? This is the Lord speaking. He says, I counsel thee to buy of me. Gold tried in the fire. That's his blood. That thou mayest be rich. He says, in white raiment, that's his righteousness. That thou mayest be clothed in the shame of thy nakedness. Do not appear. In anoint, die in the eyes of what I say. That's his spirit. That thou mayest see. And as many as I love, he says, I rebuke and chasten. Be zealous, zealous therefore and repent. Behold, he says, I stand at the door and not. If any man hear my voice, that's whosoever. And open the door. I will come into him and will sup with him and he with me. May the faithful God of his word send his spirit to accompany his word and make it real, not just to your heart, but to mine also, to anyone who's listening, please, Lord, his very word that he has magnified above his name and make it real to our sinful hearts. Please, Lord. Paul writing to the Romans, he finally says, "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." May he give us grace to hear and have faith in his word that says being now justified by his blood. That's the only way you can stand. We shall be saved from wrath through him. That's the only way for if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son much more. Well, I'll tell you what, when you see those in that fifth chapter of Romans, I think it's there three times, two or three times, much more. How could it be much more when the son of God has given his blood, when God has given his son, when God has said his spirit, the comforter to be with us, how could it be much more? Now, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life and not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the Atonement. His blood is on the altar for the likes of Adam's fallen race. It's 7-20. We'll go. I thank the Lord for an opportunity to stand yet one more time. He's good. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. I dare have my father. I thank you yet one more time to fall. Let you give grace and have mercy on such an old wretch as me. So unworthy. Just an old son of dear father standing in the knee. Have loved ones who do not care, walk the way without his all power. This is nothing for you father. Please help us in these times, dear Lord. Mercy and grace is our cry. Would you please continue to raise up our pastor. Bless him, dear Lord. Bless Glenn and bless Freddie and bless Brother Mel. Heal his body and raise him up, dear brother Howard. Again, those are the mission, mission places, Lord. Bless him. Bless your word. He said he would not return unto you, boy. But accomplish in prosper way in 2000. And that's true, dear father, because your word has been made flesh. And it dwells among us. And it dwells among us full of grace and truth. And you have sent your spirit to abide, to awaken, to convince Lord, help us in this time. Please, dear father, has all power. Awaken, convict, and save. We ask these things in the name of your precious son, and for his name's sake. Please, dear father, amen. [BLANK_AUDIO]
