I'm sure that's going to continue as we head into the CW era of things. But man, oh man, this was after yesterday's episode of Raw that I think can only be described as an episode. We certainly had an episode of NXT to follow it up. Yep, we sure did. We sure did. I sent a little thing to you and Luis in the group chat about halfway through the show. He's saying that I have been putting about as much effort into following what's going on as they have obviously put into writing and executing the show. So don't expect any blistering analysis from this guy over here tonight. It's just they are running out the clock on USA like there was there's not a lot of stuff that they're trying to do right now beyond obviously the top stuff. But like there's not a lot of compelling storylines or the matches aren't laid out in a way that are like we've come to expect really good in ring work like lots of time given to matches like major story is being driven by the in ring work. And that's just not what we're doing right now. Again, I think it's just like we're we're we're just holding a lot of that back until the CDub. But they decided you know what we we understand that we have not been doing any stories like real stories kind of on the show. So how about we put six weeks of storytelling into one night at a story that doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense but so we'll talk about it. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense Alex we have a special guest referee who has no stake in whether someone is a champion or not well that's that's entirely different that's entirely different. It's such a there's a lot of things going on that right now that like feel to your point very out of place that aren't even booking related like I'm used to the booking decisions being what kind of drives us mad but waiting out the clock is a good way to describe it because it really just feels like yeah we're just you got CM Punk and Randy Orton coming down your CW era and right now they're like we're going to give you three minutes for JCJ in the little device like what is happening so we we we we have the usual pleasantries up top from JDB Pringle says amazing Alex compassionate Kate Papa powerful Papa Paul Elizabeth jam man mighty meat to LT to quit sisters Louise and all the SGS what was that that's a good takeaway that's a good takeaway what was that is a good takeaway of thing which I could tell you yeah a dealier a dealier chamber in is a 20 month member of the Fightful main roster says here to show some love for Alex Kate and the SGS didn't watch NXT tonight but sounds like it didn't miss much I mean there was a major development for a title match in two weeks that didn't need to happen also you missed two time NBA all-star for the Indiana Pacers Tyrese Halliburton and that is exactly how you have to introduce him every time you talk about him with all of those things and then also mention that he won a gold medal I don't believe he actually played in any of the games so it's okay he made fun of it himself like he was posted a picture to Instagram after they won the gold holding up his gold medal and says when you don't do nothing on the group project but still get an A he knows he knows very good when he's been on like he's he's uh you can tell he's a fan of it because he understands kind of what's what's happening here yeah but we're gonna talk there were things that happened the Tony D things certainly happened yeah it's a thing that's happened but we're uh we're gonna dive into all of it mm-hmm yeah Orion Ben says seriously seriously that show just happened good gravy hi a prime Alex and bangs on point I'm gonna need grand slam to hurry up and get here shining lights tonight were Ren and Big Ange match non-hit that's kind of the way I feel about the matches tonight like then nothing was like oh wow that was usually we get one we're like that was really really great and it just didn't it wasn't like the the performers like were bad there's like the matches were were laid out to be bland there's a really big difference in wrestling between something like everything not going wrong and things going right like that's just the nature I feel like of wrestling like you can have matches where nothing goes wrong but that doesn't make it a good or a great match it definitely doesn't make it a great match it might make it a good match um so it it was one of those and they're just like Lola and JC getting three minutes like what are we doing but there was just like a lot of that too of um see I'm honking rocks and talking for 15 minutes so a bunch of stuff feeling like it got cut way too short to mostly not do anything like it was uneventful at best jimber says since Kate is no longer a leggy onion blonde what is she now as a redhead i nominate guns out ginger not my best work ah why couldn't you be a leggy redhead tomato i mean i'll take it if i wear like a chanel sweater i'll be fuzzy tomato like back in the day look at that tomato over there for like a something that something that Tony that Tony d'angel would call i mean tomatoes don't have onions right you just get to be them but they do have they have but they have but no but but they have stiff skin but like inside it's like a masterwork of like mazes and seeds and stuff if you slice it one way it looks entirely different than if you slice it you turn it and slice it the other way which is a very like so you really you really can't tell what your gut i'm i'm reaching for here i i don't know i like it i'm in enigma i'm in i have a leggy red tomato of course you are um you know when you are also you're a comedian because last night um you said that if we added an extra this i believe me it made sense how we got to this point i'm not going to do it right now but it made sense how we got to this point but you said if we add an extra p to pf Chang's it becomes ff Chang's and come for the scoops stay for the talk about pf Chang's that's what i i fell out of my chair i've never laughed so hard at anything on any show i've ever been on i broke you and it was a rare w for me i still can't so like Chang's in honor of Chang's uh we're we're doing restaurant puns all night corporatized restaurant puns that can be fast food they can be fast casual they can be your sit-down variety sure uh but yes uh this one from louis villa i didn't didn't pay for it but pf bangs that's that's you right there um so we're gonna we've already got 31 my goodness we've already got 31 puns in under 10 minutes this feels like it might approach the triple digits we haven't gotten one of those in a long time so keep going people thank you um they start out with the um with the top title um contract signing which they never do right out of the box so you knew something was going to happen to like do oh well now after what we had tonight there's gonna be a uh surprise tag team match where these two guys will have to coexist or some dumb thing but like you knew it wasn't gonna end the like you know because they always do these in the last segment of the show not the first sure so the big deal was that they came out and talked trash to one another and the rubes in the audience kept chanting that for ethan to put on some clothes even though he's currently fully dressed in a suit and he points this out to them and they still keep chanting it because they're rubes it i love what you call everybody rubes um it's very it's very rubish behavior i will i will say that if they were sitting at a square this would be a rubic skew like that's how how much they were being rubes in this i get and it's a good sign for joe henry that it it has followed ethan page this long let's move on people let's let's move on ethan page retained i'm i'm team ethan he dresses impeccably well actually he's a fashionista of this brand of all of wrestling really and he was fully dressed yeah um i uh lord how many more clothes do you want people to put on like a parka what like what's what's how how many layers does the man have to wear seems rude be so sweaty and gross i know it's weird but anyway um eventually um he uh he kicks they they they both stand up and come around at the front of the table with Ava standing behind it and then ethan page kicks truck trick in the gut and does the egos edge onto the table and um and then they leave and the big deal according to Vic joseph is that well nobody even signed the contract book well then how can they even have the match in two weeks the contract hasn't been signed like there are many many many many many title matches that don't even have a contract signing on screen so just do it backstage or also uh beyond that there's a whole week of tv next week before the week that this is the title match is so you could just do the segment over next week like we are going to get both of these people's names on this contract by the end of tonight that i could promise you says Ava and you never you'll never guess uh who who it is who decides that i i you know what i'll handle this um you would be forgiven to think it was it would be CM Punk that is what i thought when they were like i'm gonna do this and it's gonna be very difficult to get these two men to sign their names on a piece of paper but i'm gonna try and then i'm like hey how about this i'll do it says CM Punk because that seems like something he would do sure but no it's actually a two-time NBA All-Star for the Indiana Pacers Tyree's Halliburton who also won a gold medal uh and he's decided that he's he's gonna do that he'll be the one who does that so i heard from Corey a couple of notes one of them was that the internal name of the show was straight edge down the middle uh and i felt like this could have been called uh blue balls all night because we got a contract signing that got delayed until the end and we had CM Punk come out for 15 minutes to not get to an announcement to have that happen at the end but the pacing of the show was awful tonight like it was it was really really bad uh punk also ran long i'm hurt heard from Corey he didn't even have to tell me that when i did use that one all by myself with my own brain head um but this was a contract signing to open and close the show was just a that's not a good formula for a show that's not good that's bad it isn't also Tyree's uh no offense to him but like if you're trying to like whip guys into shape to side of contracts like maybe someone with like a little more muscle like no offense to him he didn't whip them into shape he just stood there and they signed the contract with nobody he didn't tell them to do it and they had to do it whole was like i don't oh he's a big star he's he's a big time star okay he's a two-time all-star and you know so you won a gold medal these men will obviously do whatever he tells them because he's a man and therefore not Ava who they don't listen to maybe maybe is that implied i'm not sure some kind of latent sexism implied uh by the uh 60-year-old white men who write this show i mean if sexy red was back they'd also be signing this so that's true that is true you know what that is that's just celebrity worship though we you know yeah yeah but like i was confused yes um his his pole or vested interest was in getting this contract he's tall he's tall okay he's very tall he's an MBA he's tall he's tall he seems cool he's tall um uh uh uh uh uh uh Louis ville it's gives us our first pun rubes e tuesday um so uh we'll talk more about that the halliburton thing um uh javon is like hey uh can i get on the card uh at uh for st louis um just anywhere i would like just like have a match says javon evans to evans like i'll take it under advisement and uh immediately after he said that uh randy orton tweeted out uh you want to know who your opponent is kid i'll see you in st louis and an hour and a half later vick joseph is look what the viper just tweeted book just now on social media like if you're gonna have randy tweet the thing out and have everybody all over twitter who runs any kind of wrestling adjacent account go looks like javon evans is facing randy orton and an hour and a half you have your commentator like it's breaking news that they're telling you for the first time figure out a way to dovetail those things a little better so it doesn't look like you're behind like wrestling news with three z's dot com um as someone that works for uh a website that does this we would be roasted like we would be roasted if we picked up on this hours later jr me landbert with the out of a job no i'm just kidding uh the this all night there there are things that we criticize every week most of them are creative right this week there was stuff that we don't normally have to kind of dig into and there was a lot of that and one of them was stuff like this and the pacing like the layout of this show was was weird like it it felt like they give us this product and whether or not we like it we sit here and talk about right but today it felt like they weren't in control of the thing that they give us like it was like it was a little weird and that might just be because they're winding these few weeks up and they're trying to get things aligned before all that like that that happens on on wrestling shows right we on wednesday of last week we just saw them be like brine davis the kid to defend his title at grand slam and i don't think it is be like aha but he can kind of not his title but he could wrestle like there are things that get clunky on wrestling shows so but that was that was a great example of something that like normally they're like so-and-so just tweeted and it was seconds beforehand it felt like this was a scheduled randy orton tweet that was in the wrong time zone or something like things got thrown off it it's a little bit awkward yes it does he was he's still using tweet deck um so uh no javon evans versus randy orton uh all right st louis will be a lot of fun uh they they did announce and acknowledge that uh we we're moved we are moving venues to uh a venue that is one quarter of the size of the original venue which is fine but the problem is is that you have then if you're going to say this or this is fine it's just they didn't sell enough tickets for this particular one that's fine then you also have to say that about the other company when that happens to them uh or you can be you can be hahaha hahaha hahaha point and laugh at both companies you can't you have to choose to be on the side of attendance numbers really in the toilet a on both sides or attendance doesn't really matter on both sides that's my only deal and then i'll i'm gonna be straight edge down the middle i appreciate that about you uh yeah just be normal uh you are not directly offended by or impacted by how many people a tune into a show or b attend a show so just uh right exactly it doesn't really matter enough with the like tarped nonsense yeah uh but you're right if you are going to be that big of a dweeb be a consistent dweeb yeah um uh and yes of course uh we are all waiting for exactly how divan evans will leap directly into uh and arcao and arcao um i'm hoping he leaps into two of them uh somehow like once early enough and is able to like bounce out of the ring because he is bouncy when you need mealtime inspiration it's worth shopping king valcury and tennen paxley are still friends somehow and they defeat wendy chu and rosemary i don't know what we're doing with mendy chu right now please tell me why she is the way she is also please book her to win something because she is she is content she lost to jordan grace but then choked her out afterwards um like you you teamed her up with a demon from the other nether realm and all they do is lose this is this is bray wire in 2016 why are we why are we doing this like i don't i mean i whatever don't also like oh look at that isn't that sweet book laira valcury and tatum paxley together again they've missed each other so no they friggin hate at each other when laira got drafted tatum tatum turned on her like they were friendly not friends friendly ish for about five minutes for the longest time tatum wanted to be friends with laira and laira was like you're creeping me out and then for a second laira was like okay you're you're you're kind of creeped me out but i guess you're okay and then laira lost the title and tatum turned on her they were friend this right now currently this weird three-week run they are on right now represents the longest they have ever been able to stand the sight of each other in a row just the slightest bit of creative work just the slightest bit of creative work like and they've just on they've really given laira nothing but being anybody's friend as a character it's it sucks it sucks because like she she's very good at it we've never had a complaint about that there were some character concerns that you and i had not like of her actual character like it's a human being in life like her in in-show character where just felt like some things weren't necessarily clicking for her and things like that and it called her up and then she was becky's friend and then she's other people's friends at a trio and she's also a crazy woman's friend here so like let laira have a personality outside of being other people's friends and you had this really cool thing going with tatum like why is she so excited that laira's back she was supposed to be obsessed with the title not with laira like that was the whole thing with laira had yeah it was it was right and she wanted to be her friend just to get close to it so now what are we doing um i don't know when to choose phenomenal like i don't know how many more times we can say it i like the partnership we still don't have an explanation as to why she turned this way if we're supposed to just accept that she's become her own sleep for else and steven um it still feels a little directionless but i'm i'm kind of giving it breathing room because i'm at least i'm at least intrigued enough by it to see where it goes a little bit um yeah we we we will see i don't know like laira like helping tatum get one over on wendy after she was wendy's friend for five minutes and then wendy turned on her uh i don't know what we're doing with laira like she's on the main roster she's nadi's friend and nadi is now they're doing the the thing with you know pf changs up up on the main roster so i don't know what uh where where we're going with that on the main roster but it feels like this this kind of felt like it kind of wrapped everything up neat and tidy like the the heels didn't get their heat back after they lost so it feels like the baby face is one and i don't know why laira needs to pull double duty i don't know why anybody needs to pull double duty but why laira specifically doesn't make a whole lot of sense um uh we also found tonight that charlie jimsey has grown out uh a terrible um god what what year was it that that triple h had this facial hair the the the the mutton shops that connect to the to the hindel bar mustache but no no fuzz on the chin that's that's not a great look for most people and unfortunately for charlie jimsey he fits into most people most people on this it does not look good on him or most people no it does not but yeah it's a tough one yeah but anyway um he is uh talking up tavy on heights and miles born for their big tag match later tonight uh ran is also there and she has her own version of talking them up as well uh what now now see kate you're not allowed to like have oh i've my got a brand new studio and everything's fine in my brand new studio it's all painted and nice and i got new equipment a brand new microphone you're not allowed to like oh look at my school new studio i got good internet now and then be like bye i mean honestly like this maybe maybe you're going to talk all that trash about your awesome studio how about you have the stones to back it up because i need you i need you on the stream cake because i i need we have to have a therapy session about tony d now so i need you on the lost uh to obofemi tony d walked up to him and was like what what what gives i paid you a bunch of money take him out and i was like yeah he's a monster like no i'm not gonna it's like it doesn't matter i gave you a bunch of money i paid you you'll do the job okay i thought what you're gonna do you're gonna go to ava and you're gonna you're gonna ask for a rematch no i'm not look at me i'm i'm i'm six feet tall 265 pounds carved out a solid granite i am petrified of that man he's going to break me in half and tony d's like fine maybe then i won't i won't have to face show but maybe i'll beat up you so then tony d storms off last week and so tonight he's got his match with hammerstone he's gonna he's got maybe you're not gonna pay me back the money that i gave you that you didn't actually do the job for maybe i'll just beat it out of you says tony d as he walks to the ring with such purpose oh that tony d he's such a me oh no oh he's he's throughout the entire match he's reconsidering himself but i'm being tossed around by this very chiseled man what oh i i am reconsidering all of my thoughts hopes and dreams my my reason for being has now been called into question i will just simply take account out loss rather than try to to face this guy uh believing all of my stable mates very um confused by this uh but later um in the night um i will have a confessional with them that comes out of the blue um hey um hey you're so boss what was that all about you take take take an account out well what happened there you you're gonna you're gonna go get a you're gonna go get a rematch with him right no no i'm not you're gonna go get a rematch with with oba then right no no i'm gonna do that oh why hi boss i mean i don't know i mean come on tell us why i'm scared all right i'm scared i'm afraid i'm terrified i i'm um anxious um other things that nervous and uh other things that mean i'm very scared and i'm just gonna blurt all of this out to you 20 minutes after we saw the first chapter of this story here is chapter two and then i'm gonna i'm scared that's right and i'm gonna walk away later we're gonna have chapter three where i've now in a suit and angel's gonna talk to me one on one and she's gonna give me a pep talk and i am going to say that i really want to have another shot at oba femi and she and stand with like we'll get you some specialized training she says and i say all right and then we agree that i will have a rematch with oba femi and all of this makes me think that oba femi is needed on the main roster immediately and we want to have a major deal where tony d beats him uh on the st louis episode or something uh because normally like listen the first time we ever heard there might be a photograph of von wagner's childhood skull was in late january and that story lasted until november or something okay they don't tell stories quickly they told this one in a night a story like this where tony d starts doubting himself because he lost to oba and he starts doubting himself so much that he doesn't even want to face the guy he paid to beat up oba who took a bad loss to oba he doesn't want to fight that guy and then he usually would take like four five six weeks of his of his family trying to get him to tell them what's happening and then finally after six weeks then he would do the i'm scared all right moment and then three more weeks would go by and he wouldn't show up and they'd show backstage luka and stacks and andch talking what are we gonna do about big tone i don't know it would be that same chapter told over and over again and finally maybe four months after the first thing we started doubting himself that's when big andch would go to him and say what are you snap out of it you're a good man you're you i know you're scared but it doesn't matter because we're always gonna love you luka believes in you stacks believes in you and i believe in you and you got to get back out there and take down oba femi and then tony d would say okay and then six weeks after that he'd have the match they've decided to do all of that in one night and i feel like even though we complain about how long they take to tell take to tell stories maybe there's a happy medium between nine months and one night well i don't like that they took a mobster and turned into an after school special when he was like what if i lose again and was like you will have lost through the fear that you lose who care i was like why what on earth is this episode of save by the bell because that was not that far off from i'm so excited so excited so scared from dusty span i would like when he was scared the acting i thought was actually really good both from tony d at and but like this story um here is why everybody thought that i was going to be super angry about tony d walking out on hammerstone taking the count out loss um and i was like no because i fully trust tony d to make to make this probably way too long storyline work because i assumed we were getting at least a month of him wrestling no pun intended yes pun intended with with his his um anxiety about this from whatever like he can't admit even to his friends that he's scared he keeps the book he's keeps taking matches and then losing or getting distracted or or like figuring out a way to make himself lose all the stuff i thought that i would trust tony d to be able to communicate all of that i love watching tony d act and i was like i'm going to get to watch him act his way out of what is probably going to be a dog shit story but he's going to be able to try and act his way out of it and i was really looking forward to that i didn't think i would watch him act his way out of the story in one night with like like four scenes like hey hammerstone i paid you money to take out that guy you do it okay if you're not going to do it then i'm going to take you out then the match which was him acting the whole way through it then i'm scared all right that's three and then four is him being alone in the dark when like big wearing a red suit for some reason where where and comes and says you're a good man we all look up to you and so what if you lose if you lose you find because we still love you and that's what matters what matters is this family and he did a good job with all of it but it just felt like you edited the movie down to a youtube clip and he just took all the scenes without anything that connected them and put them back and back to back to back it's also so weird to me that his only weapon was Alex hammerstone he didn't think to hire anybody out like consistently this mob family has had too few of people but now he's only he's like well if it's not hammerstone i can't think of another large bail wrestler that might be around in the entire wrestling world like that seems weird but what i do also this is something that like this story probably should bend multiple months long because of that like you could have Tony D doing everything he can to look tough but to avoid this rematch with oba femi that he needs so badly like there is there was a really great opportunity in a longer storyline with with stacks being able to come up to him first and be like hey boss listen i mean i had that match with oba femi he knocked a stuffing out of me so like i get it if you're scared what do you mean on this show and he's having matches uh with with guys who are just here to hit on ladies uh before that he i think he lost the feud with Lexus king so like why are we we should be doing more with Eddie Thorpe because you i don't i hope you didn't put him over diejack in that feud and do other things well with him he got injured for a while and um now he's he's then he got injured again and now he's back he's cleared so having moved on from Ashanti the Adonis can we have things for him to do that aren't this yeah i feel like he should be in contentorship for at least one of the titles like if him versus Oba could be really really really fun him versus Ethan would have been great but him versus Trik would be like great i think um there was a moment on a commentary where Vic Joseph had said like Eddie Thorpe's essentially been the same guy since he got there meeting like essentially in our terms right like he's state of face since he's been there like he he has not changed his motivations or anything and Booker took exception of that and was like are you saying he has an evolve and uh Vic said no i just like me that he's been true to his roots and he was like oh okay as if were riding high after that sexy coeds calendar thing and we thought you know we just can't lose so we took a chance on you and look what happened i liked the line that she said about we didn't want to let it was something to the effects of like we didn't want to be the ones to have to turn around again and say you were right about him like that i thought was good of like we wanted to be the ones that believed in you and proved everybody else wrong uh because that feels like stupid or not that feels like the spirit of chase you right so i like that line and i i like when we get to see her be something other than hyped up like it's nice to see her sound like a person and i think she needs more time in that side of her so that these can come across she she did all right with it but i think there could be something really good if she gets more practice at sounding like how a human being speaks instead of doing like her ultimate warrior rope shake and just being hyped up at ringside all the time like let her tap into this more because there could be something really good and special there and she's gonna need that at some point if she's gonna stand alone literally at any point in her career she is very very young for real and she's got a lot to grow into but she i think does have a high ceiling and a bright future and i would like to see maybe not such a downtrodden thea hill all the time but like sounding like a human being is nice like i i appreciated that about this for sure um she's sitting there with riley uh and riley gets to do the second promo right afterwards which is tore the arms of the sleeves off of it he's not wearing a shirt underneath it but he is he's sitting there wearing this particular get-up and a sling and just sitting in the back and goes good luck then he just gets to stand there for a while and uh brooks jensen beats the hell out of deon lennox until he looks over and picks up deon lennox's Clark Kent glasses that he left on the ground and he picks them up and he puts them on and he's like oh i'm blind hey everybody look at me yud weren't glad please and then deon lennox decides to beat him up some but then um uh when he hits uh the beach the beach drops them and they landed the corner right over by shawn spears who reaches to pick them up while standing on on the ground outside the ring and then deon lennox walks up and puts his foot on shawn spears his hand and says not today about eight times and uh waiting for the beach to go up behind him so he can turn around and walk into an edt and lose the chat hitting two things on the nose the first is uh shawn spears got invited by the beach because he was double breast um double breast in the double breast in the beach return it's actually it's a double breast vest so it's like it's like all like it's right there right there yeah yeah right again which is fantastic uh-huh the other thing is too many too many props and accessories in wwe right now we got beads beat bracelets the woofala has like tremendous amount of cultural significance so that's fine right like the glasses which is like a lot a lot going on in the accessories department that i feel like is overkill at the moment which is yoh's access is a person who has had glasses since i was five years old and cried the first time i put glasses on because i would for the first time see boo yes boo to this angle however deon lennox wears deon lennox wears glasses because they are an accessory to like do shorthand for his character that his character is smart because he wrestles without glasses like it is a it is a it is a thing that they've done it's a prop that they've given him to make sure the rubes know what kind of character he is it is it incredibly dumb but it is also incredibly insensitive to people like jesse who need glasses to see well and into smart people with context you know what i mean i don't know who that would be on this particular show a girl whose mouse is sticking before the thom say um yeah it's weird because it feels like they are going for something extremely specific with lennox and it doesn't feel like he's necessarily like popping out as a character that is getting to show a lot but this is fine i i feel for our dear beech like that angle was so hot we talked about this at the last PLE like it was such a hot angle and he was doing so much great character work around it it feels like they cooled it way the hell off i hope they did they heat it back up because he's he's good at this like he's he's good at specifically this of like the loose canon aspect it was rich holland could be a fun thing if shawn spears is building a stable but this was like such a a really high profile then hot angle that they had going and they just really kind of threw it off a cliff which is frustrating yeah yeah also frustrating a little device got three minutes versus jacie jane she won one with a spinning back fist um they're still doing the the fatal the fatal attraction uh toxic influence they're still coming out and doing the weird like we walked down to the end of the ramp and then one by one we shake our butts and then like or or we mentioned that there's just there's doing a thing they're doing they're doing a thing um it just feels it does not feel like these are people it feels like they are doing a thing yeah a little bit a caricature of themselves yes i don't honestly i think jacie jane is pretty good at it but i don't yeah she's had years of experience well yes but i also don't think she should have to do it is my point like i believe when she first started doing that for toxic attraction jesmine nix was in the sixth grade like that's how long it feels like jacie jane has been here doing the same damn character yeah um i i i liked the segment earlier god bless jane parkerman she's like she she has been watching a lot of kevin owen i feel as though like she um she kind of said like we're not we're not all hunky-dory me and you lola vice we just have the same enemy right now earlier in the night in a promo and i liked that i like it with people characters make efforts to do that because ww creative does not always i.e librarian take them right i.e lola vice and literally everybody else yeah she was a little less uh version like she was right right because she's she's she's she's got like she's got a she's got somebody in her sights yes she's she's she's focused fighter lola vice yeah um but also did you happen to notice who who was the one who came up behind her and had one line tonight oh who was it it was brinley reese but they've given brinley reese extensions and they've like waved her hair up so she just looks like all the other ones back there like i really enjoyed her like over peppy personal trainer character the hailey's sister yes the hailey's older sister but like she she wasn't gonna win any titles with that character but it was effective it was a it was a fun gimmick she played it really well she was always really committed to the backstage stuff and now that they've just made her blonde number eight yeah they really um there is an extreme lack of differentiation at the aesthetic of many of the women that are there and that was something that was a strength of theirs for a long time honestly it was like jg and jc and mandy didn't look like a lot of the other people when they were running stuff and you have a sleep demon paralysis there and you like right they had a a really good mix of that and now it's like they have somehow landish people and then a ton of blonde pallet athletes right that they they need to differentiate so that is a a backward step for sure in general and i would say it was brinley reese too um yeah because it's good when you stand out especially in such a chaotic environment like this right um luisa is not sure if it was the intention i would wager it wasn't but lola's dancing entrance with the face full of rage had me howling lmf ao yeah she was still doing like the like sexy i shake my butt thing but she was also like angry it kind of felt like it gave me the say it's very different but the it gave me the same energy as when jeff hardy stopped to dance to go save his brother from the ring like you were just like that's not like your body is not communicating what's going on with the situation right now a little bit um but it was refreshing to not see her be it's smiley happy goofy babyface like she her having somebody that did target was much much better the fact that someone with three minutes sucks and the fact that we got sam punk talked about nothing for right 15 minutes it's always the women's matches that get cut this happened on raw or it happened on smackdown right with me chin like yeah it's always they're just like we need more time so it's the women's matches that get cut by default it couldn't be everybody's 10 minute fucking entrance got it like no couldn't be that nope sam punk couldn't have named three less people like come on yeah um we got um the the three gals the fatal influencers ganging up on low laughter words and jada parker running down to um to make the save and boy howdy these gals were having a real rough time getting out of the ring when they were supposed to yeah like phalan got hung up on the middle rope and so jada had to toss her ass and then uh jasmine nix with all the consonants got hung up on the top rope and then jada had to dump her extra um and it just became like okay so let's work on that all next week you know what i mean like i remember when i was when i was uh doing athletics in uh in high school whatever we were really bad at during the game that was the thing we worked on obsessively for all next week of practice so i wonder if that'll be a thing that they work on with these gals this next week you know what's crazy i saw something on threads from landstorm that was about how he was like i would rather do a 20 minute match in a pulled part brawl any day of the week he was saying like those are so much harder than anybody gives him credit for yeah like it's really really tricky and it's not like you do them every week like unless you're an a w let me do them a lot because there are so many pull apart brawls so hopefully that is something they work on because that that one did look really rough that was brutal and then of course afterwards uh low device hates jada parker for coming down and and helping her saving her from getting beat to death by three women correct because she was she was taking a lot of punishment from that like she was getting kicked in the gut and in the face and everything she was getting the hell beat out of her and jada parker coming down to save her is the only thing that happened here's the other comes out and cm punk says this match needs special guest referee and it's gonna be me and i since i'm the referee for that match i don't care if you guys start fighting right now cm punk is going to be a special guest referee on october first he has the match to end all matches versus uh drew mac and tire later like literally four five days later four days later um uh Ethan page's last most recent title defense also had a special guest referee if every match has a special guest referee guess what it's no longer special it's no longer special and seth was the special guest referee for drew in punk's match like enough and uh it's it's also for me one of my least favorite stipulations of the world and this time it's particularly egregious because cm punk doesn't have a stake with
